from there I teach I'm gonna give you some that's in my heart right now we've been going through Hebrews chapter 11 but I've also got some questions in that I want to answer right so I got some questions in that I want to answer if you write me I'll probably read it eventually I used to say that I'd be able to respond to all of them I that's just not possible now somebody wrote me and was like they asked if I was serious when I said when we got on panda last November one of those episodes I said I didn't anticipate maybe just like I literally thousand be a 150 people or so we're gonna watch it and that would be kind of the return on investment for us where we can pour into that kind of same size of our church that kind of stuff and it's just been wild man it's been wild for all of you that are rowing with us that have picked up an ore and rowing with us if you like what are you talking about here's what we do we think of champion church like a big robo right so nobody is super stars here nobody is better than anyone else we all just have different seats that were rowing from so maybe you're watching in California but you called champion church your church man then you get to pick up an ore and row with us now well here's what I mean by that is maybe you know somebody who is dealing with the last episode was man they're just hopeless they're just hopeless in that situation or maybe there's somebody's like I don't even know if a godly life is possible then you say hey I watch this show called the champion church show with this god Trevor and who's just growing that hair out baby let the Lord have a sovereign will with it. But anyhow, you say hey, I thank you my About how God is feeding you through this and for lack of a better term letting somebody know I may not watch this episode in a spoke to me in that season letting somebody know maybe back home Mr. Gene Ellis. So anyhow that is us rowing together I think of the black ox out there and them loud at ogs And what's his friends and Bob out there giving us Bob Bob? Just giving us ideas of like can you preach that and the entrepreneur segments and stuff like that with the gentleman that I met Out there in Potosi as I hey check check out second-chance University for those that are getting out And you're looking man. How can I make a legitimate living that kind of stuff? Alright anyhow see this is what I do I'll ramble about random random things, but I am glad that you with this being a part of what we're doing here at champion I'm wearing my run for heroes Shirt today. I ran a 5k On Saturday for September 11th To honor those who are lost in September 11th and their families and whatnot I got I got my new little medal over there and I have not run since I did the marathon in December and Since I still hate it. I still hate running still don't like it, but our gym was doing it and I love doing philanthropy charitable things stuff like that. So I was like, yeah I'm in and they gave me this shirt That just says I it says I run for heroes We never forget 9/11 so anyhow. Yeah, I think that's about it. Go bills, baby Go bills go long horns and pray for my Seminoles and Got this in man. How cool is this we talk about the robo we talk about rowing with us picking up an ore and rowing with us? You talked about something incredibly personal with your son and losing your son and so I mess around a lot a joke around a lot But that's something serious and especially how you lost him and some words I can't literally say on the show they'll get flagged Well, you know exactly what I'm talking about of something of taking his own life and the weight of that and I just want to say man my heart hurt reading this and I could not imagine What you have felt and what you have kind of walked through in that But I do want to say this man I want to look through this lens and speak directly to you I don't know I get emotional thing about but directly to you in this like to read this and what you're doing with a Couple years ago of losing your son and I just want to tell you buddy listen We can't fix it can't bring him back, but I just want to tell you there is a group here that loves you I I sent this to our prayer team as well as far as like hey Can we just all just pray for him this morning? I can we just all and so we got people you don't even know just praying for you and for your heart and that somehow man somehow God will bring beauty out of ashes. God didn't cause this we know that we know that through our theology But we also understand that he'll never leave us for forsakers and so even in this Man, I just feel like I just pray Genuinely my prayer is there something heals in you there's something heals in you and today what we're talking about I think this might help a little bit as well, but seriously. Thank you for that and for Brian as well Man, just letting us know out there in that Smith unit and la mais Texas baby la mais la misa Texas out there man out there rowing with us So thank you. something like that to kind of ground you a little bit and see God's goodness in his creation. And my hope is this, that we don't just jump into the next thing, but you take those few minutes and let that seed really take root in your heart, right? And then I do segments of, can you preach that? So it always depends on my week and what's going on in my week of how many I can do. And I've got some new suggestions on can you preach that that you are going to see today? Bringing, someone said like this, I guess essentially like parable, like using it as a parable, using it as an illustration and all that kind of good stuff. So yeah, God bless you. I got in here today to record this and my path was dead. So, you know, praise God for that. Ladies and jets, praise God. That's all you can say sometimes when you're just like, well, that's just not the best. So, I'm going to teach what I can off memory and see how well this goes. We've been talking about Hebrews chapter 11. All right? Hebrews chapter 11, I encourage you all. Maybe you want to read the book of Hebrews and what's going on with that? We kind of covered that in past episodes. I don't want to go into all of that. But then we get to Hebrews chapter 11 and some incredibly heavy, like I like to say like this, heavy hitting verses happen in there, right? So, some incredibly heavy hitting verses happen in this moment. And we get like Hebrews chapter 11 verse 1 that says this. Now, faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. And now we understand this. We understand this. The Bible was not written in English, right? So, we wouldn't have our first full complete English translation until like 1535, right? So, it took a little while for us to get it translated, right? Someone asked me the other day. One of the, I forget how they said it. And so, but they're eventually like, hey, when you read the scripture, do you go back to the original English, like translations, because those are essentially saying this, the original English translations are better than what we have now. And which I could see why you would say that, but that's just factually not true. What we have now, there is so much more manuscripts that have been found throughout the years that we have a significant better set of trans, I know that's going to make people mad. God, God, do people get mad about translations. I'm like, guys, it's just like, let's get mad about not enough light and darkness, right? Like, let's get mad about that. No, we're going to fight. We're going to fight about translations. Oh, God. Ah, the translations. I get your passion on it, but, but, but let it, let it lead you closer to Jesus. Don't let it create divisions between you and other disciples. Okay. So, like, if there's certain things I get hot about in translations, but I don't want it to, to create division between other, other people in the body of Christ and I. I wanted to just let my knowledge just grow and bring me closer to Jesus. All right. So, anyhow, the point that I'm trying to make is this is that the translations over time, sometimes you cannot often take what the Bible is written in Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic. And have a perfectly neat, simple, 100% accurate translation in English, right? Because it's written in a different culture in different times and things that we just don't understand in our day and time. And again, it would be over 1500 years until we had our first complete English. I could just feel the people getting mad right now thinking about that, but that's okay. I love you no matter what. Keep Rome with us, baby. But anyhow, also what can happen is in our day and time, just our culture can make a word mean something different. Even if it's meant that for the last couple hundred years, it might not be the original meaning of what was written when it was inspired by the Holy Spirit and written by people, right? So you follow what I'm saying? So the original rite of Hebrews, especially like chapter 11 verse 1, now remember, there was no chapters and verses and all that for a couple hundred years after the letter was written. But it would say this, now faith is a substance of things hoped for.

like no that word faith is actually trust and is trust in someone is meaning this someone who is trust worthy right so what he's saying is now trusting in God is the substance now that word substance we might know it is okay with their substance to this or substance to that PRIM maybe that prime but what the word substance there in its original meaning would have been foundation so it's like this now trust is the foundation of things hope for now hoping it's not this I'm a Buffalo Bills fan go bills as they go I'm hoping the bills went to Super Bowl in my lifetime right I'm a Longhorns fan as well I'm hoping it would be great for the horns to make a run for like hook them baby I'm a Knowles fan I'm hoping that God does something over there in Tallahassee like what in the world is going on that's it but that's not the biblical hope biblical hope is this it is the great expectation in my heart for the goodness of God to be seen in and through my everyday life it's that hope so now now trust is the foundation of what I'm believing God is going to do that he is who he says he is and he will do what he said he's going to do and it says that is the evidence of things not seen the word evidence there is like this I know it's a deep conviction is what it means I know that I know that I know as firm as this desk is and as real as this microphone is is the reality that I'm trusting God as the foundation of what I'm believing I'm going to see him do in it through my life and I know it as much as I know that this is real right so that's Hebrews chapter 11 verse 1 now the next verse it says now for by it the elders obtained a good testimony again I'm doing this off memory so if I mess that up just forgive me a little bit now that in those nine words there let's break them down because again sometimes things can get lost in English translations so it says for by it now that has nothing to a translation it just means what just came before it so for by it the elders now elders there's not like maybe if you grew up in church and knew that knew there was like elders and deacons and that kind of stuff in church that's not what that word mean elders just means those who have went before us right so for some translation who say for the people of old or the ancients or those some will literally say those who have went before us so for by the faith that is a substance of things hope for an evidence of not seen the elders those who have went before us this next part is what I want us to focus on today are you ready I want to look you right in this camera because I don't want you to miss this point it says for by the elders obtained a good testimony now the

testimony there what is what is what does that mean it means the goodness of God shown and revealed in our story and your story the goodness of God in their story is what it means now of course we want to make scripture practical to us right so for us I want it to be said for all of us that for by the trust that we had in God that when all of our life is done and over with we will obtain a good testimony meaning this people will see the goodness of God in our story that's what I want us to get so I want to talk about are you ready what I'm about to tell you your story matters your story matters now here's what I've learned for some of you know this because there's been podcasts done about you there's been Netflix specials done about you the news is running up things maybe people get stuff they've created websites about you and all this kind of stuff and and you say yeah well my story is told like that okay that's all cool none of that is bad or wrong I hope somewhere in that story there's something in your heart that shows when you've turned your faith to Jesus and you've put your eternal hope in Jesus but I want to tell you whether you're sitting in just a county detention center maybe you're just doing a few months or maybe you're doing a 30 year bid whatever it might be I wherever you're sitting from Oregon all the way down to Arkansos up to North Carolina to Tennessee to South Dakota I don't care where you are sitting your story matters your story matters the goodness of God in your life matters now why do I say that well it's not just because I flippantly wanted to come up with something these are the words of Jesus in Acts chapter one verse eight where it says you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you and you will be my witnesses again if I'm not quoting your right I'm literally doing this all off kill the battery. So but you receive power when the Holy Spirit comes but that's what Jesus is saying. Now that would happen in Acts 2 and we believe that all Christians now have the power of the Holy Spirit dwelling in and through us, right? But it says after that and you will be my witnesses telling people about me everywhere. Well what do witnesses do? They testify about what they saw. They testify about what they live. Now for some of us you don't like witnesses. I get it. So I was even like, do I even bring that verse up? But we still have to go to Scripture, okay? And so it's saying, and you will be my witnesses what Jesus said telling people about me everywhere. Well how do you tell people about you everywhere? Let me tell you the best way. Your story. Let me say, maybe I'm not saying it plain enough. The best way to tell people about Jesus,

let me just break down what your story can be. Who you were before Jesus, who you are in Christ, what He has gotten you through and what He is doing in you right now. Those four things, if you're taking notes, write those down because I want you to get them. Your story, your testimony, meaning the goodness of God that is shown in your life that people will be able to look to forever and say, this is what God did and that person, right? So this is what God did. And James, Jim, Chavair, right? So this is what God did in his life. This is what God did in Hatcher's life. This is what God did in Ace's life. Like this is like when it looks back on those things, right? This is what God did and Norman, my friends life. This is what God did in their life. It's not just, oh, that's what they did. And let me tell you this, it's not just your mistakes that become the main part. When your story is seen with the goodness of God in it, guys, ladies and gents, don't miss this right here. And some of you are falling asleep and I just woke you up. Boy, you thought things were clapping off. What I don't want you to miss is this, you can be known for more than just your mistakes. Is it a part of your story? Yes. Can you go back and change it? No. What you can do is let God forgive you for it. And what you did and all the sin and shame and shortcomings and your story can be this. This is who I was before Jesus. This is who I am in Christ in Jesus. This is what I've seen him do in and through my life, meaning this, like when I didn't think I'd be able to get through, he got me through. When I didn't think, man, I had any like life left in me and was ready to give it all up and take it all. This is what God did in me. When I thought there was no hope, he showed up with hope. When I thought, man, everybody had abandoned me. This is what Jesus did. So it's who I was before Jesus. It's who I am in Jesus. What I've seen Jesus do in and through my life. And then this is what he's doing right now because watch this. None of us have arrived. None of us are perfect. We all have growing to do, right? We all have growing to do. So again, they're not just going to point and say, all right, Brandon, here, there's a sum total of your mistakes. No, it's like that is who he was before Jesus. But now this is who he is in Christ. We believe this. All you are in Christ are a new creation. Thank God, right? That we don't have to live with evil hearts forever. There is good that can be placed in us from God that he could take out that cold, dark, stony heart and give us a heart of flesh in the scripture says, meaning this, one that has feelings, one that has compassion, one that has empathy, one that is not the sum total of this is who I have been my whole life. So this is who I'm going to be. No, gee, let me tell you, Christ can change all of that.

The gentlemen, I cannot thank your name off the top of my head. So I'm so sorry. You've been doing a, you've done 50 years, 50 years. That's five zero, baby. That's one more than 49. You've done 50 years. You gave your life to Christ the other day, right? Right here on the champion church. Oh, man, are you like, that's the point I want to tell you. Like he says, tell people about me everywhere, be my witness, witnesses, share what they have experienced and what they have seen. That's what a witness does. So share your experience. Let someone know this is who I was before. Man, this is who I am in Christ that I am a child of God. I am a son of God. I am a daughter of God. I am loved. I am salt. I am light in the world. And through my good deeds, people aren't going to say, good job, buddy. What they're going to say is, man, you must be serving something bigger than yourself. Hello. Now the door is open to. One of the biggest problems with Christians is we wanna tell people about Jesus, but they don't see Jesus in us. And I'm just as guilty, like I'm not throwing stones, but that's one of the biggest issues. We wanna tell about Jesus loving, saving grace, and they're like, well, well, I don't see that in you, because here's the thing, we were never meant to tell about Jesus without the evidence of Jesus in us. Does that make sense? Okay. Who I was before, who I am, who I am in Christ, all who are in Christ's new creation in Him, who He created you to be. What I've seen Him do in my life is those times that He's come through again and again and again, and got you through those tough, stormy seasons, right? And then this is what God is doing in me.

Now, here's the truth of the matter. You're probably not gonna share all of those at one time, but I wanna encourage you, have all of those ready to go. And when you're telling your story, let me give you something practical. Keep Jesus the hero. Keep it honest. Don't glorify who you were. Point to who Christ has made you now. I wanna say this, before I go any further, if you're like, well, man, I've never given my life to Christ. Obviously, I'm a Jesus guy. So I'm a little biased on that, but I truly believe that He is the Son of God. He is the Messiah. He is the one that was sent from heaven to earth for you and I. All other religions are how you have to get to God. Jesus left heaven to get to you to connect us with our heavenly Father. And I just wanna encourage you, man, if you've never met him, Pando makes it incredibly easy. There's a button right below me that says salvation or give you life to Christ or something like that, it'll lead you through it. And then you get to kind of tell your story, your testimony, and I read all of those. I read every single one of those of what God is doing and done in and through your life.

And then while you're out of it, go and hit subscribe. Okay, just go and join the 265,000 of us that are rowing together. Okay, so let me, I've got to, oh, I wanna give you Revelation 12, 11. It says they overcame Him by the blood of the Lamb, meaning the work of Jesus, and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives unto death. So to me, I see that as like a three kind of point, if you will, way to overcome difficulties in life. The work that Jesus did on the cross of Calvary to die for us and to raise again three days later, right? That did what we never could do to bring us into the family of God, the blood of Jesus. But then it says the word of their testimony. Again, testimony is the goodness of God in the story of our life. Our testimony, again, I'm gonna say for the 15th time, who I was before Jesus, who I am in Jesus, what I've seen Jesus do in my life and what He is doing in me right now to create, it's what we call discipleship, or we're just growing to be more and more and more like Christ. Now, let me say this. Here's why your story matters. Is because what is in your story, the testimony that is in your story, will give someone else faith to trust God in their story.

Don't miss that. We're not the hero, Jesus is. Sometimes we can get a little caught up in that. But when people hear what God has done in you, it creates this crossroads for them. Okay, is this possible for me too? And then now they have to decide that. Like they're going on this path. They hear what Jesus did for you. And then they have to decide, is that something that can happen for me? And if it is, now all of a sudden their heart is turning and they're starting to go into another path, which for many of you might realize that would be biblical repentance. So if a biblical repentance is not just saying, sorry, that's a piece of it, but biblical repentance is going from one direction. It is a change of mind that leads to a change of direction leading or now moving in a completely different direction. And that direction would be the kingdom of God, walking with Jesus. So Jesus said, "Repent for the kingdom is at hand," which means this, "Repent, have a change of mindset that leads to a change of walk and the kingdom of heaven is within reach." And could it be this? People's faith to repent and to turn their heart to Jesus might be found in your story. It might be found in your story.

See, oftentimes we want our story told on big platforms like this. Let's just be honest, which is cool. I'm not saying it's not going to be. It very well could be. We want our story told in big things like this with the microphone and with that prime, with the oar, with the backwards hat. You know what I'm saying? Like we want our story told like that. And again, there's nothing wrong with that. And it might be. But let me tell you who the story could be told to is the people around you. Your story could be told to that person It could be told to that family member that you've maybe not spoken to in five, 10, eight years, 12, whatever, of what God's doing in you. With no agenda of like, hey, listen, there's no agenda here. I just wanna tell you what God is doing in me and that I'm not the person that I was. You see, like that's who the story matters to. However many people on the planet, eight billion, your story matters. How many people went before us? Like what is the matter? Your story matters. Like you are here for such a time as this, you're still alive for a reason.

You're still alive for a reason right now. Many of you know, you shouldn't even be alive right now, the stuff you've lived through, but you are. And could your story, not as you as the hero, see, that's what Satan would love to do. He'll love to make you get prideful and selfish in it and you be the hero. It never works like that. But when Jesus is the hero, this is who I was before him. This is who I am in him. This is what I've seen him do. And this is what he's forming in me. See, if you've tracked with the show, you know, I've talked about my issues with depression. You know, I've talked about my issues of these really high highs and these really low lows. I've talked about, listen, I've told you before, I've never sat in a jail. So I'm not gonna pretend like I have. Like the first jail I sat in was Booneville a couple of weeks ago, right? And I'm coming to Marion this Saturday, but by the time this, well, I guess this is out Thursday, but like that's not, it's not a part of my story. Now who I was without before Christ was an absolute disaster who didn't feel any purpose at all. Who I am in Christ is I am a son of God. And now I have the power of the Holy Spirit Acts chapter 1-8 like he just talked about flowing in and through me

to live the life he'd called me to live. Like before Christ, I didn't know that I was called to speak or row, pick up the old row at a church or have a show on tablets and the DOC all over the U.S. Like I didn't know any of that. This is who I was before Christ was someone with absolutely no purpose in an incredibly small world view. In Christ, I am a son of the creator Yahweh who has been empowered by his very spirit and I don't have to do life by myself like I'm not alone in things. Like when I'm parenting and I don't know how to parent, well, I'm not alone in that. When I'm battling my depression, I'm not alone in that, right? When I have the low, low, low days, where it's like, man, I wanna throw in the towel and just say, man, I'm over all this, I'm not alone. That's who I am in Christ. Now I'm the salt of the earth. Now I'm the light of the world, right? And it starts with who I'm around. Does that make sense? But now here's the thing. I've also seen God come through countless times. I've seen God show up countless times over and over and over again. The testimony times that I have had the lowest of lows and God showed up. When I have trusted Him in provision, when I have trusted Him when my heart was broken

or when I broke somebody else's heart, right? When I have been the victim or I've been the one that created, I don't know if I should, I don't know if I could say that word. You understand what I'm saying? Like those type of things, like when I say like this, when I've been hurt or when I hurt somebody else, that's the best way I wanna say 'cause I don't need somebody reading into any of that kind of mess. Like those times of when I've seen God come through, but I've also seen the times of what He's forming in me, right? This is my testimony. This is the goodness and love and mercy and grace of God in my story and I wanna tell you, ladies and gents, wherever you're watching this, man, it can happen for you too. If it happened for me, it could happen for you. And maybe there's that switch of like, what could it be? What could it be like to walk with Jesus? What could it be like to trust Him in this area of my life? What could it be like to lay down the pride and the selfishness and say, okay, Lord, I'm not gonna be the hero of my story anymore? You are, what could it look like? What could your story look like? And what could it ignite in someone else who just by chance God puts you in their life so that your story of the goodness of God, the love of God, the mercy of God that is flowing in and through you could encourage them, maybe Jesus could do the same for me. I wanna say it is clear as I can your story matters,

your story matters. So start prepping it, start processing it, start putting it together. Now, let me just give you a few quick tips. Some things need to stay under the blood of Jesus. Also, I don't know the statute of limitations so you need to talk to your lawyer on that. Some of that stuff, hey, you know what? the sin. Jesus is always the hero. Continue to feed your heart and who you are in him. Be okay to tell people, man, he came through for me on this time and this time and this time and this time. And then at the same time, be ready to tell people, Hey, this is what God's doing in me right now. God's doing this for me right now. I am a horrible friend simply because I get so caught up in my own life. I get caught in my own life. And so my Lord, I've admitted that more out loud here recently than I ever have. So I don't know what you're trying to do through that. Maybe it's just a realization. But yeah, like this is how God has continually to disciple me, right? That is your story. And for buy it, the elders, I hope you will obtain a good testimony. Can I tell you you can have a good testimony? Your story is not just all the screw ups, man. Your story is just not all the, this is who I was. This is who I was. This is who I was. Your story has something in it now. When they talk about you, they're not just going to talk about the mistakes. They're going to talk, the thing of it like this, as big as your mistakes might be, the grace of God is bigger. As big as your mistakes might be, the mercy of God is bigger. As big as your mistakes might be, the redemption, resurrection, power of Jesus is bigger. I found it to be true, man. I found it to be true. I hope this genuinely, I hope this encourages you and speaks to you. Because that's always my, my heart and all of this. Let me, Hey, let me say this. Napo, and I don't know if I'm saying that, right? What happened with your son is awful. But maybe God could even redeem something where your story can help another father who's walking through the same thing. Right? I'm not saying it is. I'm just saying it's something to consider. I just use this stuff because, I don't know, that man loves talking about what he has, which is cool, whatever. Nothing. I do want to say this too. We always highlight like different things of like these big lifestyles. That does not mean, we know this. That does not mean possessions mean a bigger life. I think we understand that, but I just want to make that clear. It does not mean, like there's nothing wrong with possessions. There's nothing wrong with having stuff, as long as the stuff doesn't have us, right? As long as Jesus is still our King, that, that is completely okay, and then we can use our possessions as a light to people, right? But you don't have to have possessions to be a light.

I hope I'm making that clear, so someone asked, "Could we do different mansions, could we do stuff like that?" So I figured I'd grab one or two of those for you. So let's just make that the first preach that one, like whether you have possessions or not, it doesn't make you more godly or not. Let's just say that one. Nothing wrong with possessions, nothing. No thing is wrong with possessions, as long as the possessions don't have you, right? So life isn't full of all that kind of stuff, but there's nothing wrong with having a life full of all of that, because Jesus, at the end of the day, should be the soul, let me say like this, the soul purpose, the one thing that our life points to, right? So hopefully that makes sense, a little bit different way than even playing on doing, can you preach that? But we'll do that for the first one. There are properties, and then there are legacies, spanning 5,110 acres in the heart. And Jesus said this in Matthew chapter 7, that our lives should be built on His words, like that is the firm. Another thing I thought about with the mansion was this, the amount of planning that went into it,

the amount of customization that went into it, and the same with our life, man. We can't just go through life flippantly, and obviously you're behind bars, right? You're sitting somewhere in a camp or a jail or a detention center in county, in a prison, in a CI, which stands for correctional institution, right? But here's the thing, even there, when it seems like a lot of people are telling you what to do with your life, and I get it, they are, I'm not minimizing that. But even there, I think having things structurally laid out of, man, this is how I'm gonna grow. This is how I'm gonna be a better disciple. This is how, man, I'm gonna work through my story, like having those things planned out in some way, right? And every case is different, but that's what I would say is like to have it planned out, that's how these massive mansions get done. They're not done flippantly. They're done with a deep foundation, so we have that in Christ. And then at the same time, they're done with great intentionality. Maybe that's the best way I could say it. Great intentionality. I was thinking about my brother Riley, they're a Patosi, and now he would write up

different plans and stuff like that for people's health, and working out and all that kind of stuff, right? So what happens there? How are you gonna get fit? How are you gonna get things in order? Intentionality is the same with these mansions. They were built with intentionality, and so build your life this same way. On a deep foundation with Christ and with intentionality, how to be a better man, or a better woman, a better lady, or a better gent. That's how I preach that mansion. Now we are standing on 35,000 acres of land owned by this property, and behind me is the main lodge, featuring 10,287 square-futed interior space, as well as several other structures that we'll be seeing throughout the lands here. It's gonna be a fun one, guys. So come on with me. Pulling up to the gravel driveway, you're immediately greeted by this handcrafted log construction with rustic seater siding, towering stone, chimneys, and a durable metal roof to create this timeless mountain retreat built to last generations. On the right side, you see the garage door entrance, and a lot of the wood that built this home was actually sourced on the ranch here itself. As we head up, there are two hand peeled log columns to either side of me, as well as a circular, wood light fixture leading up to the front door. So let's go inside. Right as we enter into this home, we really do get warm log cabin vibes with all of the exposed timber and wood surrounding us.

We're gonna start our tour to our right and show you this kitchen with gorgeous, polished, granite stone countertops, elevated bar seating for six, and an island mini fridge built in down below six burner stovetop with dual viking ovens down beneath. And if you look up, you see more of that exposed timber as well as curved red brick ceiling above us. Super warm, super inviting throughout this property. It really does feel like a vacation home. This is epic. Picture window looking out to some of the pine trees in our yards here, built in microwave down below pantry. You've got your paneled fridge and freezer, everything that you need in a kitchen space and then the dimmed lighting as well just sets the mood in here. hanging above our dining table built into the timber up above. Now, as I said, a lot of the wood was sourced from the ranch itself, and there truly is a lot to source from. And there are doors also leading out to the balcony we'll show you in just a bit so you can see the views of all of the trees and the lands here directly off the dining room leads us into the great room with double height ceilings. And what I think is this home statement piece in a multi tiered antler chandelier that really adds to the home's lodge luxury aesthetic as well and making our way towards more oversized picture windows just looking out to our balcony to the landscape, the pine trees. And it seems like being see almost the entire state of Oregon from here. This is wild and can you imagine having your family over cozy vibes and then also during the winter, it snows. So I can even imagine it during a snowfall looking out onto all these trees, truly and incredible experience.

Can't wait to show you guys the grounds and all the other structures. There's natural hot springs here. There are ponds. There are horses that we might ride a little bit later, but let's continue on. You see this natural stone fireplace burning underneath the large flash green TV and the stone goes all the way up to those double height wood ceilings as well. So we keep making our way through more of these exposed timber columns. And then this leads us into this entertainment room where we have powder bath with natural stone sink and check out how you flush this toilet. Hold this down and then it flushes, which is a feature you don't see in any of the modern homes that we would tour. You've got more of that timber in here, a bar area with these wood counters and plenty of room back here with the fridge and more windows looking out to the driveway entertainment for your friends to play some better and then direct access to that large balcony cozy seating space and once again, another TV and a fireplace in here. Now I'm going to show you the balcony right now just because how can we not? So there's just over 2,000 square feet of outdoor balcony space here and I'm gonna keep on saying it. 35,000 acres, which is roughly 50 square miles and there's a total of eight bedrooms in the main lodge, including all the other structures. It totals out to 20 bedrooms, 24 bathrooms and a lot to see here. So check out this balcony, the views of all of this greenery. I mean, can you tell we're not in California right now? This is quite the treat, very unique ranch style lodge home here in Oregon and you have some outdoor dining covered patio section with more of that exposed timber and even the handrail here is built from wood sourced around us as you see from all of the trees and there's a lot of wildlife here as well from cougars to bears to you never know what you're going to see. Let's head back inside and show you the rest of this level. Down to the other wing of this level, you have laundry room to one side that leads directly

into the garage and as we continue to the opposite side, dual wood doors leading into a study room or a library with bookshelves and a ladder in here, cozy seating and windows looking out to the views once again, which are epic guys. And then this is actually the primary suite at the very end of this hall. So obviously homey vibes with all of the wood, the dark features and finishes. We've got a dual sided fireplace in here and another cozy seating section in your bedroom. In this nook, directly looking out to three separate directions. So you really get a sense of the width and the landscape and the property here. I think I could truly spend all day just going from my bed to this seat and then you get warmed by the fireplace and let's check out the bathroom where we have built in tub once again. Is this the best bathtub views that we've ever seen, especially on this channel? I mean, look out. You can see almost to the end of the property line from this bathroom here and it's so warm with that dual sided fireplace, two sinks with more custom dark stone countertops as well as this sink bowl, very unique look in those finishes, glass shower and then water clause in front of us with more of the wood finishes built in. But that was everything for our main level here in the lodge and I know I keep talking about the 35,000 acres. Hello, hello. And so behind us is the Foreman's house, just over 3000 square feet. Foreman's garage, 832 square feet. Forestructures include the shop at 4800 square feet and equipment sheds, storage building, and three open-sided sheds. There is a lot around this area, as it will then take us about 20 minutes up the road to get to the actual lot. Worth Chris, the ranch manager here, and Chris, can you explain what this is and how this all came to life? Yeah, this is a sawmill that we take the lumber from the ranch and we make beams and boards and so we can build stuff like in the background.

And so you pretty much built most of this with the sawmills here, right from the ranch wood. Correct. Pretty cool. Yep. And how do you like living here? Love it. Amazing. You wouldn't want to add any other way? Nope, it's a dream place. Cool. Awesome. We appreciate you showing us around here. Yep. There's a mitigation going on behind us and this road acts as a firebreak and is used as a control line to stop wildfires here. So pretty cool. You don't get this in L.A. There's even a fishing pond right off the ranch manager's house. So we're going to see if we can catch some fish here. And I'm no expert, but Nathan here has been helping out and so hopefully he gets up. We got them. Let's go. We got them. We did it. All right. No. As we head up, even the staircase in this ranch lodge mansion is truly a work of art with handcrafted wood leading us to the top floor. There's also a shower directly at the top of our staircase to my left leading up here.

And as we make our way onto the bridge in our upper floor here, look above me. You can see an actual cougar and there's another one and several other taxidermy mounts throughout the lodge such as a bear, bull elks and a bison in front of me heading into the first bedroom up here with one of the most epic balconies I've seen overlooking the entire property, full bathroom, dual vanity and glass shower in there with a standalone tub, one of the better bedrooms, but let's head out of here and cross this bridge more exposed timber and custom wood hand railings to either side of me carpeted flooring in here and high vaulted ceilings. As you see more custom antler life fixtures above us to every single detail throughout this home just adds to the entire ranch look that they are going for here in this home to my right. Now we have another bedroom with more views facing north and then on the opposite side, the other direction with an ensuite bathroom once again overlooking that driveway. And last but not least at the very end of our walkway here, this bedroom has another balcony that just overlooks everything as well as an ensuite bathroom, dual vanity and a freestanding tub. So you really have it all in these bedrooms as well as a fireplace in there, but I could live in any of these bedrooms up here on this top floor, total of four up here, but now we got to go down to the basement level and check out that. The blend of materials continue with the natural stone leading into the wood slat finish walls as it heads into this arch stone masonry finish into a second entertainment room directly below the one above us. We've made it over to the natural hot spring. Follow me this way, as there is a sauna right next to it, surrounded by gorgeous flowers as well. But check out this sauna, open it, you can see. Now this is all actually powered by the streams that run through this entire property as well. Now let's go check out the hot spring over here. And do you guys see the steam coming off of it?

This is amazing, come a bit closer to me too. So we can just see, I don't know how safe this is, I don't know if they told me I could do this, but it's almost like having your own jacuzzi. I mean, check this out, there's even seats inside there and it is pretty warm, it's nice. Let me check out over here by this steam. That's good, I think you can definitely take a swim in there. This is amazing, there's a little diving board to one side as well, but this is just perfect. Can you imagine having this in our backyard? There's also a shooting range in front of us as well, and a cold plunge next to it. The cold plunge was made from, once again, source from the trees throughout this property. As you see, it's being filled up from the stream directly next to us as well. Oh, it is freezing. Now I don't think I'm gonna get in there today. There's so much to do throughout this property and we've explored as much as we could have it during the day, but at night, this forest takes an entirely different feel. Bike Week, I thought there's no way. I'm gonna be able to do that. I tried, I tried, I tried. Here's how I can preach that. If I was to preach bike week, I would preach maybe this way. Show me the five people you hang around the most and I'll show you your future. Show me the five people who influence you the most and I'll show you your future. Show me the five people you're listening to the most where there's on this tablet or maybe someone's speaking into your life or somebody back home or whatever it might be. And I will show you your future. If you constantly hang around, is who you constantly become. And here's the good thing. That could go one or two ways, good or bad, right? So like if you wanna be a better person, get around better people. If you want to lift your life, get around people who can lift your life. And if you say, yeah, but I don't have anybody like that in here. Listen, we serve a God that can do the impossible, man. He can do the impossible. Ask him, Lord, bring good people into my life. And now say this, ask him, God, how could I be? One of these good people and somebody else's life

where my story can influence somebody else in the best possible way. So if I was to preach by quick, that's how I would preach it. Who you hang around is who you're eventually gonna look like. Who you hang around is who you're eventually gonna become, baby, that's who you're gonna become, baby boy, or baby girl, that's who you're gonna be. So that is how I would preach that. And he asked a few questions and I wrote them down earlier because we man, I read every line of my brother. It's been a minute since I read some cursive. And I had to, I didn't want to try to read cursive right here because I knew I wouldn't be able to. I would realize how hooked on phonics I am.

But you asked a few questions. I thought were good questions and there might be other questions. Like very, very practical stuff that somebody else might have. So put them in my notes. Also, let me say this. Or, there's no way you're, if it's McCracken, great last name. You sent this say man, his blood for our sins. What a, I mean yeah, this is exactly what we just talked about. Exactly what we just talked about. Thank you, thank you, thank you for sending that. Also, what was this one? This one has some glitter on it, man. This one has some glitter on it, but it, not glitter. That's not the right word. I love how you did it because it like shimmers in the light. I don't know if you could see that. Of how a shimmers in the light is pretty cool, man. Row in the bow, baby. Row in with us. And his name is Michael. Michael Hinsley sent this in. You had some really good questions that I wanted to just kind of answer really quick. Okay. So here you had I think four questions in your letter. And so I wrote them down for an answer. Okay. So you talked about Jesus and I think it was Ruth and all that kind of stuff. The book of Ruth, the Romans, all that essentially loved one another as I have loved you. And I took it as like you're kind of asking for like what is the definition of that. So I wrote this down means Jesus calls us into the same self giving cross shaped love that

he demonstrated. Right. So that creates a new family in Christ and even extends beyond that family to our enemies as difficult as that is. So the love that Jesus displayed to us is self giving cross shaped love means sacrificial. You asked a question about judge not versus judge righteously. So this means Jesus is not forbidding discernment, right. So it tells us to judge you were kind of again where I read that is like, well, one says don't judge. Others judge righteously. What are we supposed to do as followers of Jesus? Jesus is not forbid discernment in Matthew chapter seven, right, but condemning hypocritical self righteous condemnation that he is like against, right? So righteous judgment starts with examining ourselves and then seeks truth restoration and the good of the other person rather than punishment. So what can happen oftentimes is when we get judgy as you might hear that it is against that person instead of for the good of that person, right. So y'all, y'all for me read some of the letters on here. I can take people asking questions, right? So I had another guy ask me again about baptism the other day, sent me an email. He was one of y'all had let him know about it. I'm trying to remember his name, Dan, I believe it was, and he had a question for me, man, he was done in such a loving, honoring, genuine way, right? And so that kind of stuff, that's okay to righteously judge that, right? But if someone comes at me as it's been well documented on the show, if you try to come at me, I'm gonna, I shouldn't say that, I gotta take, I might take that part out. Let me just keep reading taking the Lord's name in vain, all right? So you had a little bit of a different stance on it than I did, all right? I have a completely different stance on it. I want to be careful here because this is a whole different conversation for a

different day. I think I'm a leave that one alone because I don't want to open a can of worms. Okay. Oh, and then you asked a question about older Bibles and that kind of stuff, which I hit on that a little bit earlier. And then who else wrote me one? I wrote some notes on another one. Hey, but seriously, seriously, man, thank you so much for this. Yeah, I think, oh, Coyote, that's what you go by Coyote. Thank you, man, for sending me this, sending the questions, that kind of stuff. I know you said you're not a Christian, but you're wrong with this. And I love that. Thank you so much. Thank you, man. I just want to write that down to say thank you to you. Sean from Youngstown, Ohio. You wrote several questions. A lot of this to do. And from what it sounded like is you were coming out of Judaism, sent me a sweet little magnet to me. I don't know if this will go up anywhere. I don't, this is my side. There you go. I said about there. You wrote several questions in.

Let me see if I can hit them kind of quick. I'm just going to read them for a second time. Come on. I pad. Don't do this to me. I literally let you hold this. Okay. You asked if you still needed to make restitution or sacrifice to be completely restored to God. No restitution can be a beautiful fruit of repentance where possible, but it does not purchase God's forgiveness or restore you to him because reconciliation is God's gift accomplished through Jesus. Not something that we earn. Okay. You said, how can sins that the Torah treated that the Torah, excuse me, treated so seriously really be forgiven in Jesus. The cross is not God pretending that sins do not matter. God in the Messiah is confronting sin. So God in Christ, God was in Christ reconciled on the world to us. The second Corinthians chapter five, right? Absorbing its violence and consequences, defeating its power and opening the way into forgiveness and new creation. All right. So am I redeemed simply because the love of God and the sacrifice of Jesus of Yeshua? Yes, redemption begins with God's covenant. Faithfulness and grace revealed in Jesus, which is received by trusting him and that grace then begins reshaping how he lived. So like if you give your life to Christ today, there's a big, there's going to be a prayer that they walk you through, right?

So that prayer is just the beginning outward expression of faith with our words of what is happening within you. But now the grace that brought you to that now will continue to help you live in that. Remember it's who I was before Christ. I give my life to Christ. Why do we say that prayer? It's the, there's no salvation prayer in the Bible. I understand that, but there are starting points. There are starting points where people start following Jesus. I started following Jesus on August 27th, 2007. Why does that matter to me? Because it's the starting point. I've messed up so many times before them, but it's a starting point in my relationship with him. Sometimes you see the prayer is a starting point. Prayer should be a starting point in the beginning of your day. Doesn't mean it's going to just all of a sudden, well, now my day is blessed. No, it's a starting point. Does that, I don't, that I wasn't a good connection, but people get mad about the salvation prayer all the time. Listen, it's not just the end all be all I will now. I can do whatever I want. No, no, no. What do we tell you about your story about your testimony? Who I was before God, who I am in Christ. You got to have a starting point for being in Christ. Now I'm trusting him. This is where I've seen his faithfulness when I have trusted him. And this is who he's, he has graces continually.

I say like this forming me as a disciple to be in his image where I bear the image of God. Okay. How can God forgive me when other people condemn me and I cannot forgive myself? Now this is a huge one, man. There's so many people deal with, I deal with this as well. Here's the best way. I know how to say this. Okay. You're standing before God is determined by his verdict on sin in Christ, not the verdict of other people or even your own shame. So learning to forgive yourself begins by agreeing with God has already said about you. So when I have messed up and I've hurt people in my life and it still bothers me that I've hurt them, eventually I have to, being remorseful is okay. Like that's not, but you can't live there forever. Right. So eventually I've got to agree with what God has done for me. And I've talked about this in past episodes, even if reconciliation never happens with the person. and listen, the truth of the matter is my sins might cause a reconciliation never to happen between the person that I heard or any of that kind of stuff, right? In whichever way, okay? But my reconciliation with God, that's a different deal, right? That is something that is hard to even fathom with my mind. So when I start to forgive myself,

I have to align my heart with God's heart of how he feels about me. I hope that makes sense. I talk about that in past episodes. You see, Trevor, what episode was that? I can't remember off the top of my head. Why has God simply not removed my, I'm going to say, I'm going to spell this word for sake of not getting flagged. S-C-X-U-A-L desires, thoughts or addiction, even though I've prayed and fasted. So why has God not removed my, I'm going to say blank here, desires, thoughts or addiction, even though I've prayed and fasted. And this could be 100 different things. So no, several of you deal with addiction. So this is a good one for all of us, okay? Following Jesus does not always mean temptation disappears instantly. That'd be nice because the spirit often heals us through a long process, get this of renewed thinking, truthful community, wise boundaries, confession and learning a new way of living. Oftentimes this stuff is deeply rooted. Now, yes, are there the stories and testimonies of God taking it like that? Absolutely. For some of us that has happened, for some of us as not, it does not change anything about God's goodness or power or grace or mercy or love.

Again, let me read this. Following Jesus, when you say, "Why hasn't God removed the desires for my addiction?" All right? Following Jesus does not always mean temptation disappears instantly because the spirit often heals us through a long process of renewed thinking, truthful community, wise boundaries, confession and learning a new way of living in and through Christ, all right? Is this addiction or these thoughts a demon I need to get rid of? It could be, yes, might not be. That's a very, there's gonna be a lot of nuance in that answer. Yes, absolutely. No, it could not be. That's a hard one to answer without knowing all of the details, okay? Some of these are very personal. So I don't, you know how it answers? I don't wanna, all right. This one kind of goes with the story sermon, all right? If this weakness is something God can use to help others how. God does not need the sin itself in order to use you, we know that God's not gonna use, like he's really good at bringing beauty from ashes, but he's not gonna be like, well, let me get you to sin so I can use the story.

That's not how it works. But he can redeem what you have suffered and learned so that your honesty, compassion, and healing eventually become a source of hope for someone fighting the same battle. There's a lot of what we just talked about. And then the last one, am I trying to earn righteousness through Torah and my own efforts, okay? So if what you're looking at in the Torah becomes the means by which you try to make yourself acceptable to God, then, let me just read what I wrote down. Yes, but in the New Testament's obedience flows from belonging to God rather than being the price you pay to belong to him. Does that make sense? Like it's not, yes, our living changes. And yes, there are things that he's commanded us to do, but I'm not doing it to earn my salvation, right? I'm doing it maybe because that is what God is leading me to do that might be best for me, but I'm not doing it to get to God so I can have his best. I don't even know if I'm saying that right, but this is the only thing of like processing questions real time. That's the only thing, like I'm not gonna do it to earn anything from him. Because that's, we're not like Jesus paid at all. All to him I owe not to buy it for myself,

but because he gave it to me freely so the response of my life is following his commands. I hope that makes sense. I hope that makes sense. And I hope this helps me.
