This is a rich song. This is a rich one. Oh my goodness. And in the intro of the song, I put on for my city, on, on for my city. Our citizenship is not here. Philippians chapter 3 verse 20 says we are citizens of heaven. Of course we putting on for our city. We understand a higher calling. You understand? Do y'all see that? Let me keep going. But brother Jesus said, when they see me off in traffic, they say Jeezy on some other stuff. As it should be. We shouldn't be performing the same behavior. He had a revelation of John 9, 4 where it said, I must work the works of the one that sent me by day, because that is coming where no man can work. So of course we're, we're, we're working on some other stuff cause we're doing kingdom activity. Do y'all see that? Oh my goodness. But he got to a beautiful verse in the song where he says, what's whiter than a napkin, harder than a dinner plate. He's describing us because of what Jesus did on Calvary. Does Isaiah chapter 1 verse 18 not say, though our skin are as scarlet, we should be washed as white as snow. Do y'all see that? Well, I read all of them, but thank you I'm saved I've repented been baptized in the name of Jesus and received the baptism of the Holy Spirit with evidence now he puts these all in caps with evidence of Tongues nowhere in the Bible did anyone receive the Holy Spirit that there was an evidence with tongues Now the only reason I'm yelling is because he put an exclamation point in here. We're in the Bible Okay, let me back up because he's about to ask another question That you have to have the evidence of speaking in tongues before the Holy Spirit now Here's my problem with that. You don't see that with the Samaritan believers in Acts chapter 8 You don't even see that with Paul in Acts chapter 9 Are we gonna say Paul wasn't full of the Holy Spirit like the writer of two-thirds of the New Testament? It doesn't say anything in Acts chapter 9 about him being full of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues now

I believe in tongues I believe in all the gifts of the Spirit but to say it is the evidence is just incorrect in my opinion We can differ on this but in my opinion is incorrect. Is it on evidence like a yen like one of the evidence? Sure, absolutely But my thing is this I've met plenty of people who can pray in tongues But don't have the fruit of the Spirit So the fruit of the Spirit you'll find the Galatians chapter 5 verse 22 and 23 love joy. Peace patience kindness goodness Self-control I missed a few there But when you get the point of it the Galatians chapter 5 all of these things are the fruit of the Spirit I've met people with no fruit of the Spirit that can pray in tongues so you're gonna tell me that you are full of the Holy Spirit yet you treat people like Yeah, you don't have love and joy and peace and patience and kindness and goodness and gentleness and self-control, but you have tongues How can you have an evidence of something that you don't have fruit of that's my biggest problem with that So like you can't come after me and say well the only evidence I know this was from a few weeks ago when I talked about the Holy Spirit that did that that well That's not true. If you don't have the evidence that is an incorrect Doctrine that was built off people that just wanted people genuinely to experience the Holy Spirit Genuinely to experience the Holy Spirit, which I agree with but you cannot say that is the one and only evidence That's just as biblically incorrect. Just reading the New Testament Reading first Corinthians 12 13 14. You could see that there so I disagree with you there and that's fine We can disagree. Honestly, that's not a big deal. We can disagree on that. Okay, so let's keep reading Nowhere In the Bible did anyone get saved by repeating a sinner's prayer? Okay Obviously you're referring to the thing here on Pando where you click the button you repeat a prayer The prayer is just the starting point man The prayer is not the end-all be-all you can bring up the book of James in just a second The prayer is just a starting point Jesus as king of your life That is the main thing which we agree on so the prayer is just a starting point, right? So like in marriage or anything like that

You have to walk this thing out So I agree with you, but let's not say that that's what we believe because that's not what we believe Let's keep reading his his comment here Where did anyone ever get baptized in the titles of the Father Son of the Holy Spirit people get upset about this Especially on this app people get all excited about this Matthew 28 19 says in the name of The name is Jesus every baptism. The Bible was in the name of Jesus. All right, so Jesus says baptized in the name of the Father the Son of the Holy Spirit Son of the Holy Spirit. We get so caught up on the name. Name essentially means character and nature. When in Acts chapter two, verse 38, when Peter talks about to be baptized for the forgiveness of your sins, he says, repent and turn to God and be baptized for the forgiveness of your sins. What he was telling all these people was like, listen, you need to make a public declaration of faith right here in front of everyone, right? That was what he was saying. The problem is, if we say, and I think you're gonna say this more. Let me just keep, no, let me just say this. People that are like, you can't go to heaven if you don't get baptized. Here's my problem with that. What do you do with the thief on the cross? He didn't get off the cross and get baptized and get back on his cross and then go to paradise. Jesus literally said, you will be with me in paradise.

So the issue is to say, well, you have to be baptized to go to heaven. Just that is saying the work that Jesus did on the cross wasn't enough. You have to do something in the physical way to make it to heaven. Jesus said, no, all you have to do is believe in your heart that he is who he says he is. And when you believe that, your life is going to change. You will be with him in heaven forever. It's just a very odd thing when people say, well, you have to be baptized. If you're available to be baptized or they're doing baptisms in your prison or you get out, you should be baptized. It is a public declaration. It is an outward sign of an inward decision, without a doubt. But to say you need that to go to heaven is saying the work that Jesus did when he said it is finished and he rose again from the grave, that that wasn't enough. And that's just not true. All right, let's keep reading. Let's see what my boy says. Baptism isn't optional. It's a command, John 3, Acts 2. He said, Jesus said, he who believes and is baptized shall be saved.

I'm not trying to be petty. Peter said that, not Jesus. Peter in Acts 2, 38, not Jesus. I'm not trying to be that guy, but I'm just saying, if we're gonna say these things in capital letters and shouting them with exclamation points, I'm gonna have to just be honest with you. The Bible says, believe. It says, confess. It says, repent. We agree on all that. It says, be baptized. If you can, you should, absolutely. I had someone the other day, this lady was in hospice, dying, and they asked me to come pray with her to make sure she was right with God. You know what I didn't say? Well, she couldn't move and she didn't have feeling in any of her body and she was barely alive. Hey, you better get up and get baptized or you're not gonna go to heaven. No, absolutely not. You lead people to Jesus and the work of Jesus is enough. It says, we received the Holy Spirit. We are not saved when we simply believe. The devil's believed, nowhere in the Bible

did anyone get baptized in the Trinitarian formula, talking about the Trinity, of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Acts 4, 12, I think that's what he's quoting here. No other name under heaven, which man shall be saved. I'm not gonna get into that argument. It is such a petty argument that doesn't matter. That's my opinion on that. Get baptized, serve Jesus to the end. That's where I'm at, okay? Now, here is my big, here's the whole reason I'm responding to you. I'd travel, why would you take your time to respond to this? Here's why, this next comment. And I'm not gonna waste a lot of time here, but I have to respond to this. And then what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna show you the sermon from Sunday and then I'm gonna show you some stuff. Like for some of y'all, y'all have asked, actually, the Black Ox said this with them laudy dogs, that they need to learn some work. They need to learn something to, when you get out, how are you gonna make money? So I'm gonna show you some very different clips I just grabbed of how to pressure wash. It's a very simple, small business. You can start getting out with very, very, very little investment to get started and where you can go out and make some money, right?

So if you're not afraid to sweat, you're not afraid to be out in that weather, you can go out and make some money. I'm gonna show you how to do that stuff. I want to be a part of that as much as I can because I know some of you are in for life and I respect that and I love you and I'm gonna help you champion this season. But there's some of you, you'll be out, whether soon or within a few years. You need to have an idea. How are you gonna make money when you get out? You don't wanna fall into the same traps as you did before, okay? So I'm gonna show you that as well. And then we're gonna do a segment on can you preach that? And the devil loves Pando. Okay. This is where you lose me. Because we can disagree. There are several of you, I know this. You're not even a follower of Jesus.

You might be a part of Islam or Odinism or maybe you're a Buddhist or maybe you're agnostic. or atheist or whatever it might be. You're not a follower of Jesus, but you enjoy what we're doing here. I'm a follower of Jesus, but I'm just glad that you're watching, right? I'm just glad I could do something to help you where you're at in this season, all the way from Alaska to Arkansas to Maine to Florida to Potosi that I'm coming to see ya, to Boonville. We can disagree on the sinner's prayer. We can disagree on my hairline. We can disagree on me drinking that Coke Zero. We can disagree on everything. But when we get to the point where we're saying you're teaching damnable lies, I have to draw a line and say, hold on just a minute, brother. Because never ever in scripture are we allowed to begin to take shots at other Christian brothers like that. Jesus did, but I'm not Jesus and I'm willing to bet, even if your name is Jesus, neither are you. And I know your name's not Jesus and I'm not gonna call your name out, but you put your full name in before you put this. So you know exactly who I'm talking to. To say that everybody on here is teaching lies and to say that the devil loves Pando, so the devil loves people receiving light? The devil loves that some random dude in Northeast Florida sitting in here on a late Friday lunch break, because I've filmed this daggone thing three times? That the devil loves that, that people get to see light and darkness? That the devil loves that we've had over 13,700 people give their life to Christ just in this ministry since November 6th? The devil loves that 240-something thousand inmates

are a part of this champion church and we're all rowing together? That when you see us trend, it's all of us, so the devil loves light and darkness? You're gonna tell me I started thinking about people that I've been able to connect with? You wanna tell me that the devil loves that the black ox and I, now I've known him majority of his life, that we're connected through something like this, that his input from the lauded dogs has been able to help inmates all over the US? You're telling me that the devil loves that over 22 million times this has been viewed of light into somebody's darkness? You wanna tell me that the devil loves that I have the amazing opportunity to get on one of them airbirds and fly into St. Louis and go over to Boonville and say what it is, what it ain't? You wanna tell me that the devil loves I'm going down to Potosi, that my heart, I don't know if this is gonna happen, is to go shake hands with these men in Potosi and look them in the eyes and say, listen, I don't care if you're in here for life or not, God is still in love with you, he's not mad at you, he's madly in love with you, you wanna tell me the devil loves that? You wanna tell me that I've been able to connect with somebody like James Chaville

and be able to give him hope when he was ready to give up? The devil doesn't love that. That's light into darkness, man, that's real life change as people seeing Jesus and to champion this season of their life. You wanna tell me that the devil loves the fact that I've been able to connect with Hatcher and Alexander and Joshua and Ja'Karri, you wanna tell me that, that these families that I met this past Sunday that were at Champion and their loved ones are sitting watching this right now that the devil loves, that light is being brought into their darkness, my problem is this, we can disagree, brother, but to start throwing stones and say they're teaching these lies, man, you gotta be careful, dude, nobody's perfect, brother. No body is perfect. This wasn't even on my radar this time last year and God has broken my heart to be able to bring this light into somebody's darkness, holding a tablet, sitting behind bars to look you right here in the eyes and say, listen, it's not over for you. God's still crazy in love with you. We can disagree, but let's hold off. Saying that people are teaching damnable lies And that the devil loves this come on he loves nothing of the light being in the darkness That's where I'm at with it The only reason I respond to that is you can't say stuff like that I'm on the platform that I am giving my everything to and I have grabbing the oar and I am rowing and think I'm not

Gonna respond people respond you say juvenile stuff all the time, but that's a little bit different for sure all right The lesson here is this you can disagree, but when you start demonizing people you better be careful That's all I'm gonna say gotta be careful. I've made that mistake. That's what I'm passionate about I've made that mistake, and that's not the godly New Testament Jesus example that we see all right all right. Lord, pray this humility prayer. Where am I at actually? So Matthew chapter 4 is where we're going to go today. But we started this summer looking at essentially the character traits of disciples. The character traits of disciples.

We said like this, this is just what disciples do. This is how they live. It's things that should mark our lives. And we were in Acts chapter 2 a lot. In verse 38 where it says, Peter replied, There's a few things we would see in that verse. Is disciples repent. We should have a repentant heart. Disciples are baptized. They make public decorations of faith. Disciples are the most forgiven and forgiving people on the earth today. And then the last one would be that we receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. We're going to talk about that in a second. I want to say this really quickly. And literally repent to our church for this. Last Sunday, I made a comment about the disunity in our city. Not a single person reached out and was like, hey, you were wrong in that. What did you mean by that? No one did that. But I will say this. From the moment I left last Sunday to sitting here now, God's dealt with me about it the whole time. And so I want to say to you all, just really, and it wasn't bad enough, like you could go watch it online if you wanted to, right? If you're like, well, if you want to, let me see. I didn't even clip it out, any of that kind of stuff. But I genuinely want to repent to our church. Here's why. Because I promised you from day one of us launching Champion, we would not be agenda-based. And that was out of my flesh, and it was agenda-based, and I was completely wrong in that. And so I've repented to God about 17 times.

Anybody ever ask God for forgiveness like that? Like, Lord, I know we talked about this yesterday, but I just want to make sure. And so as a church, I'm just saying, hey, I was wrong in that. I'm asking for forgiveness, and then we are moving on from it. All right? Everybody good? But then we talked about at the end of this is disciples repent. Disciples should be baptized. We should declare of what is going on inside of us an inward decision with an outward sign through baptism. And then we receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Now, this is a huge thing, and we've spent four Sundays talking about this. We talked about how you can't follow Jesus without the Holy Spirit. We talked about why Jesus called it a good gift, and how Jesus said, listen, don't even go into the world without the Holy Spirit. And then last week, we said that disciples are led by the Spirit of God. And some verses we didn't get to, because I never want you just to hear it from me. I want to show it to you in Scripture. Romans 8, verse 14 says this. For all who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. All who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. Now, watch this. And you have not received the Spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you've received God's Spirit when He adopted you as His own children, and now we call Him Abba, Father. This is like the deepest term of endearment here. For His Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God's children. John 16, verse 13, these are the words of Jesus. When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth, and He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears, He will speak, meaning from the Father and the Son,

and will declare to you the things that are to come. And then Galatians 5, verse 25, we went to this verse, I feel like a thousand times in just a few years of our church. Since we are living by the Spirit, let us also follow the Spirit's leading, where? In every part of our lives. That's why I'm asking you, be led by where to serve. Be led in how to give, but it's not just here. It's not just at 67 Orange Street on Sunday mornings at 10 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. It's there on that job site. It's when you're making the sale. It's when you're at home and you're like, God, what do we do with this? It's when you're going through life like, Holy Spirit, how do you want to lead me today? We've said it like this. To pray, Jesus, how do you want to live your life through me today? That's being led by the Spirit in every part of our lives. Now, here's the thing I want you to do, and I said this last week, I'm going to go back to it. I want you to put in your notes, whether in the margin of your Bible, on any of these verses of being led by the Spirit. Maybe it's something in your Bible app, or you can put the note, and here's what I want you to write down. Being led by the Spirit starts with being honest about where you are. Being led by the Spirit starts by being honest about not where you wish you were, not where you want to be, but where you are actually. Because it's there that His leading, you'll see it come to pass in your life. Because I don't know what it is, but we all have this natural propensity to always make ourselves out a little bit better than we are. Like, okay, like this, the doctor says, I'm just using this as an example, how's your eating habits going? Fairly well.

You know that you just had a Culver's Double Butter Burger with everything on it except onions to the glory of God, and you prayed over that thing, and you said, Lord, nothing is impossible to you, and I believe in the calories, and this beautiful thing does not count. And that doctor looked you right in the face and said, how's your eating habits? You said, fairly good. Fairly good. In church world, it's like this. Different pastors will say, man, how many people are you running? Now, we average 159. There's more than that this Sunday and last Sunday, but church math is like this, about 200. There's about 200 in there. Well, there's not about 200. There's about maybe 160. That's about as much. We always want to round it up, but we're not honest with where we are. The issue is we even do this with God. We're like, hey, I want to be here. I wish I was here, so Lord, speak to me if I was there, but if you're not honest with where you are, at best, that's going to lead to confusion, and at worst, it's going to lead you to a moment where you don't even seek His leading anymore because you're like, last time I did that, it didn't work, but no, maybe last time you did that, you weren't honest with where you were. I told the story last week when I was trying to lose weight. The lady that was hired to help me, how many calories are you eating? 2,200 calories. Next week, I gained weight. She said, how many calories are you eating? 2,200 calories.

Third week, Trevor, I want you to measure everything you're doing. Turns out I was eating 3,800 calories. I wasn't honest with what I was doing, so the plan and the place she gave me didn't work. It would be like this. You're saying, listen, I love downtown St. Augustine, and I want someone to lead me in downtown St. Augustine. I want to go to the fort. I want to see the bay front. I want to see the Bridge of Lions. I want to go to Two Sparrows and buy a dress and a cross. I want to go down to Kilwin's and eat 3,800 calories in one bowl. I want to do all of this in downtown St. Augustine. Someone gives you directions. Okay, you're going to start here, and you're going to go here, and you're going to do this, and then you walk outside, and you go, wait a minute, that bridge doesn't look like the Bridge of Lions. That's big and blue. You look around, and you're like, man, it smells like coffee down here. And then you look, and you see the Florida Theater. And then you walk a little bit further, and you see Vice Star Veterans Memorial. And then you see 121 Ballpark, and you see Everbank Field. And you're like, why don't these plans work? Well, that's because you're actually in downtown Jacksonville, not downtown St. Augustine. And if you're asking to be led just by somewhere you want to be, but it's not where you actually are, you're going to be confused at best, and you are going to quit asking the Holy Spirit of God to lead you. And as a church, please hear my heart. I need you to be honest. You don't even have to be honest with me.

You don't have to be honest in your serve group or your small group. I need you to be honest with, I mean, it's good to be honest, but I need you to be honest with God. Lord, pray this humility prayer. Where am I at actually? What season am I actually in? I'm all about having goals and vision. You should. You're sitting in one from just a few years ago. You absolutely should. But you also can't act like you're there if you're not. You just have to be honest. God knows where you are. He's not going to be like, oh man, I thought you were in downtown St. Augustine. I didn't know. It's going to be more like this. Hey, I've been waiting for this. I've been waiting for you just to be honest. This is where I'm at in my heart, Lord. This is where I'm at in my life. This is where I'm at in my joy. This is where I'm at in my community. This is where I'm at in my relationship with you. You have to be asked the question, what type of season am I in? In praying about this, I want us to think about it in three different ways. Wilderness. Community and bold action. Wilderness, community, and bold action. Now, I didn't just like randomly pull these out. These all mirror, I believe, the life of Jesus. Okay, let me show it to you. Wilderness. Now, this is not gonna be great. You put that next slide up, Jeremy, if you will. I know it'll be hard to see

this, so if you want to try to take a picture of it or whatever, I just want to show you this is mirrored in the life of Jesus, right? And if we're followers of Jesus, we will probably see it mirrored in our life and our rhythms as well. Is everybody tracking with me? Wilderness is Jesus regularly withdrew to lonely places to be with the Father. We're gonna see one main spot in Matthew chapter 4. I didn't forget we're coming back. But we also see this throughout his his earthly life. The community. Jesus consistently lived in close community with his disciples, and then bold action. He continually moved outward in mission. Maybe a better way to put this, if you will, wilderness, what is God forming in me? Community, what is God using around me? And bold action, what is God asking me to do? I'm gonna say this really quick, last practical thing, and we're going to Matthew 4, I promise. I'm gonna make a general blanket statement that I believe would be pretty 100% true, but there's always exceptions. I don't believe your entire life is going to be wilderness, or your entire life will be community, or your entire life to be bold action. I believe in different areas you're going to see different things that are going on. Some of them for sure connect. Let me just give you some examples really quick. This is not thus saith the Lord. I'm just giving examples, okay? I might be in a wilderness season in my career, in my job, but it's time for bold action in my finances. I might be in a wilderness in my relationships where God is exposing in my own life pride and selfishness, but at the same time I'm experiencing incredible community through my serve group or my small group. I might be in a season of bold action at work where God is opening doors I never imagined, while my prayer life feels like a wilderness where he's teaching me to trust him instead of the success that I'm seeing in life. I may be surrounded by incredible community at church, but my... Amen? Okay, sorry. Let's move a little quick. I lost y'all. Let me rewind this. I may be surrounded by incredible community at my church, praise God, but my parenting feels like a wilderness where I have no idea what I'm doing. That one was submitted by Trevor in St. Augustine. My physical health may be in a wilderness, but spiritually I may be experiencing the closest relationship

with Jesus I've ever known. I may be taking bold actions by serving, leading, and sharing my faith while God is quietly leading me through a wilderness of patience in a whole other area of my life. You get the point. The thing is this, if you get them mixed up, imagine how confusing life can feel. Here's the thing, let's talk about wilderness. One of the most common things, if you just looked up wilderness in any Bible commentary or whatever, one of the most common ways that they would agree, and trust me all Bible commentaries do not agree, that they would define wilderness like this, when the Holy Spirit intentionally uses difficulty to form something in us that seasons of comfort never could. Let me read that again. When the Holy Spirit, this is a God-led thing, intentionally uses difficulty to form something in us that seasons of comfort never could. A wilderness is not punishment, a wilderness is not a problem, and it certainly is not abandonment by God. I want you to hear me clearly, not every hardship is a wilderness season. We live in a broken world, and sometimes life is just lifin'. Sometimes life has the way to say, hey what's up, welcome to Monday, I don't care it's Michael's birthday, here's a punch in your face. Life has a way to always be lifin', it doesn't matter, but there are seasons where the Spirit is intentionally leading us through a place of formation. Wilderness, it is harsh, a wilderness is trying, a wilderness is testing, but I want you to get this, here's why you go through wilderness season. You are leaving one season of your life, and you're about to walk into something else in your life, and what God uses the wilderness for is to take you through process, and pruning, and growth, and maturity. Aren't we having fun? We're having a good time this morning. You're like, I knew I should have went to the Hersey. He takes us through these seasons so we can encounter the next. Maturity is necessary. Maturity doesn't stop the day we get our diploma. And some of us, we probably, for me included, probably need to be reminded of that. It is constantly a process of God taking us through formation to be the true person that he created us to be, and wilderness seasons are necessary in the life of a disciple. When you're leaving one season

and getting ready to go into another. Biblically, I could show you probably at least five different ones, but for sake of time, I'm gonna point to one, and it's Israel coming out of Egypt, heading to where? The Promised Land, right? So Israel's coming out of Egypt, we're heading to the Promised Land. They were not ready to leave Egypt and walk into the Promised Land. Have you ever known someone, we'll say like this in the South, have you ever seen somebody getting taken out of the country? They don't live, they're not living with the sticks anymore, but the country wasn't taken out of them. Come on now. Jason, you know exactly who I'm talking about. Look at him, he's smiling big. His son, Jason's son, comes up to me today. He goes, well, my dad hit a hog last night. That's what he said to me, God's honest truth. Only a champion to random conversations start like this. He goes, well, my dad hit a hog last night with his truck, and I go, I'm sure it was an accident. And I laugh, he goes, you know, just Jason doing Jason things. Because why? You could take the man out of the country. You could give him that nice truck, jack it all up, put it on some 37s, it looks great and beautiful, but you can't take the country out of the man. It was the same with Egypt coming out of Egypt. Now someone's gonna hear that and be like, I don't want the country out of me. You get the point. Egypt was so ingrained into Israel that they would have messed up the promised land if they went straight from Egypt to Israel. Why? Because they were still operating as if they were in Egypt. And it's a picture for all of us. We all think we're ready for next all the time. That's why we pray for it. Right? You wouldn't pray for it if you didn't believe I'm ready for it. You're like, Lord, I'm ready. Not sure what you're waiting on. Lord, I'm just believing. I'm ready. You're ready, right? We're ready. And God's like, no, no, no. There's a wilderness season that you have to go through to get you ready for. It's going to happen. Now, here's the thing. I believe there's three different things that we could see in a wilderness season, taking from Jesus is in Matthew chapter four. So if you are still in Matthew chapter four, that's where we're going. If you have not got there, honestly, you can, you can give up. It's okay. We will have it on the screen. I'm gonna show you four things, but let me start first in Matthew chapter four, verse one, then Jesus was led by the spirit of God into the

wilderness to be tempted there for 40 days and 40 nights. He fasted and became very hungry. Now I lied to you about the screen. So praise God. All right. You don't have it. Here we go. Let's go to the first one of three things you're going to see through Jesus's wilderness. You ready? Number one is provision. Provision. Will I trust God to meet my needs? Matthew chapter four, I see they got it here. During that time, the devil came to him and said, if you are the son of God, tell these stones to become loaves of bread. Understand this. Satan is always going to make you question your identity. If he made Jesus question his identity, if you're the son of God, don't think that he's not going to make you question, if you're really loved by God, if you're really a disciple, if you're really saved, he's going to make you question it all the time. It's one of the oldest tricks in the book. That's a story for a different day. Tell these stones to become loaves of bread. And Jesus told him, nah, that's the message. The scriptures say people do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God. Here's a few things. Number one, never try to combat spiritual warfare on your own. Jesus did it with the word. He did it with the word. All right. So sometimes we try to combat spiritual warfare like this, like, I'm just going to say Jesus. Have you ever been scared in a dark room watching Nick at night in 1996? I don't know any verses, but I'm going to say Jesus. The demons can't be here. If I say Jesus, right? Right? Anybody else that's that's your spiritual warfare? Jesus. Me either. All right here's the thing though that's just for free here's what I want you to see in a wilderness this temptation is not about bread it's about trust Satan wasn't tempting Jesus to do something evil like as far as I know I could be wrong but there's no commandment thou shalt not cause stones to turn to bread it's about trust and dependency Satan was inviting what did it say he fasted 40 days and he was very hungry showing this he's was 100% man and a hundred percent God he felt the same things we felt because if not built well that was Jesus no he felt the same things we felt he was hungry and he tempts him with a legitimate thing but he tempts him to do it in an illegitimate way I wrote it down like this Satan is inviting Jesus to rely on himself and not on the father and this temptation is the same for us yeah sure you could trust God in

your finances or you could do it yourself sure you could trust God in your relationships or you could do it yourself sure you could trust God to open doors for you or you can do it yourself it is the temptation to rely on you and not on him and I think that's one of the greatest misconceptions even in our Western Church today meaning the American Church today is we will say things like this well if I can do it I'll just do it and the things I can't do I'll get God involved that's not the way of a disciple that's compartmental you are compartmentalizing everything and just hoping not to go to hell because you're like I'll take care of everything else I know I can't take care of that so I'm gonna need you there but everything else I'm gonna take care of you I just want to tell you like I don't want to go to hell either I'd like to start with that but Jesus did not die on the cross to get you out of hell it was literally so you could live to who you were called to be as a child of God right here where you can experience heaven on earth in and through you and he I just I want to be gentle here because I don't have to repent again next week one a quarter is good in front of y'all I do it to God all the time don't worry but we can't compartmentalize these different things what do we read in Galatians 5 is the spirits leading in every part of our lives are we leaning on him or are we trusting in our own understanding yes he's given you knowledge he's given you wisdom he's given you gifts and talents and all that kind of stuff to be led by him and all of them and one of the greatest things you'll learn into wilderness is about provision who am I trusting it says Jesus remember he said the scriptures say this remember when he said that he's quoting Deuteronomy chapter 8 verse 3 where the Israelites coming out of Egypt and we talked about that a minute ago they're coming out of Egypt and they have got to learn to trust God to provide for them they were used to what they were a slave to providing for them but now they have to leave that behind and trust God to provide every day how does that relate to us I'm glad you asked oftentimes what we are enslaved to in our life that maybe people know or don't know we trust that for our provision and not in God and we

have to learn to trust him in it if you remember in the wilderness with Israel coming out of Egypt going to the promised land God provided what manna every single morning it would be they would come out I mean first of all praise God could you imagine coming out there's just bread everywhere everybody in here's on keto okay so ain't nobody I mean I love a good soft bread are you I don't want any of this hard bread people good just what are we doing they like do you do you want that toasted no I enjoy the roof of my mouth thank you very much I want to like I just ate razor blades I got to get back to the point there's a manna everywhere now here's the thing they couldn't collect as much as they could and store it up because what would if I'm correct on this maggots would be in the bread and nobody likes Maggie Brad Maggie girl if you know what show that's from we can be friends no one likes that what was the point because sometimes you will try to store up when God provides once and not trust him again he's like you've got to learn to trust me every day God wasn't being stingy he was treat teaching dependence and wilderness seasons have us go through this time where we learn dependence on him yours might not be anything financially yours might be emotionally or spiritually, or relationally, where you're trusting Him, He is my source. Jesus flips it and says, no, we must live by what God is giving, meaning we must live by dependence only on the Father. The second thing is this proof. Will I trust God's presence without demanding proof? It continues, when then the devil took him to the holy city, Jerusalem, to the highest point of the temple and said, if you're the son of God, jump off. For the scriptures say He will order His angels to protect you, and they will hold you up at their hands so they won't even hurt you. Here's the thing, Satan is actually quoting scripture, but he's twisting it. And Jesus responded, the scriptures also say, jabroni. I'm just kidding, He doesn't say that.

The scriptures also say, you must not test the Lord your God. Understand this, the temptation here is not suicide. The temptation here is making God prove Himself. Jesus quotes another verse, He's quoting Deuteronomy 6.16. I know everybody knew that, but just so we're all on the same page. He quotes Deuteronomy 6.16, that would say this, you must not test the Lord your God as you did when you complained at Massa. Now Massa would be connected to Exodus chapter 17, where they would not trust God unless they saw a sign. Here's the thing, that's not faith. Lord, if you're who you say you are, you'll do this, and then I'll trust you. That's not faith. Hebrews 11 makes it incredibly clear what faith is. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Faith is this, God, I have not seen anything that I thought I would see yet, but I am trusting you because I know you have led me to this place. The Israelites kept going through miracle after miracle after miracle, and they couldn't trust. And I'd love to beat them up, but I've been that person. God's come through time after time after time again. I'm like, Lord, I hope you come through this time, as if all of a sudden he's just out of miracles for you. Like it's the chat GPT that you didn't pay for. It's like, you are out of prompts. Read a book. Like, it's not like, he's not just out of things to give you. The thing is this, those things that he's done is actually meant to build our faith for now. It's having a history with him. And Jesus quotes this like, no, no, no, you don't need proof for you to trust God. Actually, you trusting God is you're going to see him come through because you are trusting him with genuine faith. I wrote down like this. Nope, that's all I wrote on that. Let's go to the next part. I took that out. Oh no, I knew I did. I was like, well, I thought I did. Praise God. Oftentimes faith says this, I don't

have all the answers. I don't understand what's happening, but I know who you are and I know you're good and I'll trust you. Wilderness seasons will take you through a time of pruning and process and growth and maturity where you don't need God to constantly prove his loving character. You know who he is and you're trusting him as a loving heavenly father that's 10,000 times better than we could ever imagine. Here's the last one, process. Will I embrace God's process? I wrote this, I did this a few days beforehand. I actually changed, so will I embrace God's process instead of taking shortcuts? Here's what I changed it to. Will I embrace God's process instead of my own way? Now we talked about leading or leaning on our own dependence, but now we're talking about a route of how to get to something and I will be honest with you, I'm really good at laying out a map for Jesus. I'll use this church as an example. Lord, we're going to launch this church and I feel like you're telling us to launch this church. We're going to start this. We're going to be philanthropy driven. We're going to be minimalistic in everything we do. We're going to be bare-bones. We're going to help people champion every season of their life and God, I tell you what, we've already got this building in mind. This is a true story. It sat 80 people. I was like, Lord, I don't want any, I don't want more than 80 people. I don't need to be famous. I don't need any of that kind of stuff. Actually, if I could be less famous, that would be great and God's like, you're not famous. I'm like, point proven. Let's go in the negative. I'm like, Lord, if we could just do this, it'd be awesome. This is the address that we have picked out for you. If you could go ahead and just make that happen. We were really good and now I'm bringing other people into this because other people said yes and so we were really good like, Lord, this is how we're going to do it. This is how we're going to do it. This is how we're going to do it. That was not at all

God's plan. He said, let's start you at Pure Power Sports where you start week one with 61 and within a month you grow it down to 11. Let's have a few weeks where there's four and let's see if you really want this. And then we moved and moved and I'm just using this as an example. I'm really good at telling God the road we should take. Israelites were supposed to be in the wilderness for 11 days. Three of them learned the lesson out of three million. Actually two, the other one they said bring his bones in. Forty years they didn't learn the lesson in the wilderness and they missed the promised land. I've been really good at taking 11 day journeys and trying to see how long we can stretch this thing out. Anybody else like that? God's like, we've been on this lesson for a while. You're like, mm-hmm, let's do it one more time. Let's circle this desert one more time. Matthew 4, verse 8, next the devil took him to the peak of a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. He says, I will give it all to you, he said, if you kneel down and worship me. Jesus has done had enough by this point. Get out of here, Satan, Jesus told him. I want to feel like Jesus was like, from the other side of 9 to 5, he's like, get out of here, boy. Get out of here, Satan. You better get. Don't you come around here again, Satan. That's how I read the Bible. Nobody else reads the Bible like that?

Thank you, Ronnie. One person's like, yeah, that's exactly how I read the Bible, praise God. Finally, found my home. Get out of here, Satan. For the scriptures say you must worship the Lord your God and serve only Him. Here's what Satan's offering him. You can have everything God promised you. No cross, no suffering, no waiting, no process. Just worship me. I don't believe the temptation is Satanism. I believe the temptation is self. I'll take what God promised, but I'll get it my way. Lord, I feel like you're leading me to do this. Thank you. I'm going to get it my way. I wrote some stuff. This is me here writing this out because I'm just telling it myself. Oftentimes, I want God's destination and process, but I don't want his route. Satan isn't offering Jesus a different destination. He's offering him a different path. And every disciple eventually faces the same question. Will I trust God's process or insist on my own way? And every time I choose my own way over God's process, I'm declaring that I trust myself more than I trust him. That's why the wilderness matters. It's where God teaches us that His way is better than ours, even when it takes longer than we want it to. Psalm 127, verse 1, Unless the Lord builds the house, the workers of the building, the work of the building is wasted.

Proverbs 3, verse 5, Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do and He will show you which path to take. Now, here's the good news. If you're in a wilderness season, it doesn't last forever. Every wilderness in Scripture has an ending. Everyone does. Israel would eventually get to the promised land. David, his wilderness season, he eventually became king. Moses, the wilderness he had to go through, he eventually led the nation. Elijah, in his wilderness, he eventually heard the whisper of God of what his next step was. John the Baptist, after his wilderness, he prepared the way. I mean, this dude lived it all the time, but eventually it ended. And Jesus, He would leave the desert. That's where we're going next week of what happens when Jesus walks out of the desert. We say it like this here, champion. Every 40 has a 41. It doesn't last forever. Trials and pruning and process, maturity, it's necessary for the disciple. But it's not something you're going to be in forever. ♪♪ ♪♪ ♪♪ ♪♪ ♪♪ ♪♪

And man, if you get let off a little bit, you get tired, it could be disastrous.

I think it's the same, just man, walking with Jesus. Perseverance, you don't have to have it all perfect. You don't have to have it all together, man, but just keep showing up and just stay on the throttle and taking that step. So let's check this out. Amateur flat track races are held all over the country in towns big and small. If you want your adrenaline to pump, try flat tracking. ♪♪♪ ♪♪♪ Races are held on a variety of dirt tracks, ranging from short tracks, half miles, and full miles. These racers pitch it in sideways going into a corner bar to bar with one another. ♪♪♪ ♪♪♪ Motorcycle competition is a very enjoyable sport, but it isn't without its hard knocks. To play this game, you occasionally have to pay your dues. Most falls aren't serious, usually a dinged-up this and a bent-up bike, plus the injured ego. If it's serious enough, a rider will call it a day,

but most of them hobble over to their bent-up bikes and get back to racing with a comment like, You don't know if you're going fast enough until you fall off. Sometimes it takes a week, a month, or even longer before they come back, but they do come back. Otherwise, they wouldn't be motorcycle racers. ♪♪♪ Well, flat track started back in, oh, as soon as they got a motor on a set of bicycle wheels, racing was on. There's always going to be somebody racing somebody. And back then, you had real crude motorcycles, not much horsepower, so you had flat surfaces, so you raced. That's the name, flat track racing. It's a combination of a blood sport and a gentleman's sport. Once you get it, the excitement is just intoxicating. ♪♪♪ Those guys are fast. ♪♪♪ There's a wall, and it's going faster and faster and faster and faster and faster and faster. Hard to believe. Now you think, should I slow down now? And if you do, four guys pass you. So you can't slow down, and so it's a real judgment call as to how you can get into that turn

faster than everybody else without disaster. ♪♪♪ I had to do something. I had such an adrenaline rush that I had to do something. So it was either go-karts, a stock car, or a motorcycle. Well, I couldn't afford the stock car. The go-kart track, as I came back home from work, had a for-sale sign in front of it, so it made up my mind I bought a motorcycle. I rode every single night after work until dark. From there on, I was hooked. ♪♪♪♪ Scott Range has his coming-off inning. That wins in the 450 class. You can just move the bike around a lot, and I think it's fun here, fun here, and hopefully fans like the action of it, you know. ♪♪♪♪ Like I say, you can't quit. You know, oh, I'm so mad, I'm just going to walk off. If you do... You don't have a front brake, you just have a rear brake only. Yeah, we don't have front brakes on our bikes. We actually have classes that don't have any brakes. You really don't use your brake a lot. If you get your gearing right, you don't need a brake. You know, it's handy when somebody goes down in front of you, you need your brakes. It's like a dance. You're making your move, the bike's making its move, you just stay with that bike and

float through the corner when things are right. It's great. Giving me goosebumps. Well, I think all motorcycle racing started out as grassroots, you know, from your backyard to going up to the racetrack, the local racetracks, and there's nobody that's racing at a top level that didn't start at a little neighborhood track, you know. The pro level is just so amazing, you know, those guys have mad skills, without a doubt. The big boys that make the pros, they don't look like it's very hard, but to get it so good, they make it look easy, because the guy in the front's wasting no motion. He's gliding it in, gliding it out. That's what racing's all about. I like going fast, I like sliding the motorcycle, I like, you know, the close racing that you get in flat track racing, and really it's just being able to hammer down and slide. I mean, when you're full throttle and you're laying it into a corner, you know, there's no better feeling in the world than that, to me. Flat track, you're racing in a circle most of the time, it's an oval track. That's really the simplicity of it, it's just the, you know, the organic stage of motorcycle racing. There's just something about the speed and the smoothness of it, you know, you're out there and you're drifting, but you're trying to maintain a drift, and not too much that you're just sitting there spinning and stuff. We're racing all over the U.S., and every place you go to has a different type of dirt, a different soil, a different texture to it. The racing can be very, very close, you know, there's times that you're almost touching each other in the corner, sliding it in at 100 miles an hour. You're so close to each other, there's a couple times I've came off this corner here and been on the outside of somebody, but not enough that they can see my front wheel, and you got to reach over and tap them on the shoulder and let them know that you're there. And it's so dangerous as well, so I think that also the courtesy kind of steps in, because you know, everybody wants to make it through the day, I mean, this is what we all love

to do. They call him the wizard, number 23, Jeffrey Carver, Jr. Number 6, the bullet, Brad Baker. I mean, there's people, just average guys being able to get out and do it, and that's why I think people love flat track now, is because it's hard to do it at the level that like, say, I do it, but it's easy for anybody to do it. I mean, it's just riding around in a circle, I mean, how hard could it possibly be? You have to ride around in that circle really, really fast, and yeah, it's pretty difficult. The number one plate is the desire of any racer who has the talent needed to acquire it. To earn number one means dedication, focus, and a whole lot of talent. No racer knows this better than Bill Snyder of Manhattan, Kansas. At the age of 29, Bull Taco Bill has won countless races and holds the KMSA number one plate again in this 1976 season. Now sit back and relax. Put my fan on. Ahhhh. Most of them race and they quit and I'm still racing. This is my 54th year. I've done it for seven decades. In my teens, twenties, thirties, forties, fifties, sixties, now I'm in my seventies. I'm going to race until 2020 and at least put in one race and then I can say I raced in the sixties, seventies, eighties, nineties, ohs, ones, and twos. So that's kind of my goal. Number four is Bill Snyder from Manhattan on a Bull Taco, 72 years old. Five is Mark Robinson from Cottonwood Falls on a Yamaha. Bill Snyder has had his injuries this year. He's coming out slugging now, drifting a little wide, but he's still got it good.

He's got more wins than anybody even knows, leading the pack. He's got that Bull Taco wound up. He's going to finish the season out here at Jeeps with a nice win. He's leaving them all behind. It's halfway now. Coming around last lap, maybe his last race for the season, he's on a Bull Taco. It's the only one in the crowd. This is an old bike and he makes that thing fly. He's coming around for the win, Bill Snyder. All right. Man, that was some hot stuff. That was awesome. It was. Another thing I noticed in this flat track racing is they would put their foot down, right? We saw that a little bit in that documentary. They put their foot down. I can't think of a scripture off the top of my head, but I thought about this. Sometimes it's good to keep yourself grounded, to keep yourself humble. Do these things that just keep you humble. Man, keeping your pride in check is just significant. I have people in my life that keep my pride in check. I can promise you that. I just love that. Keeping that foot down, even if it doesn't matter how life is going, to keep you a little bit grounded, man, I just think that is a huge, huge win in life. When you go into the corner, you put one leg down to pivot off of to help hold the bike up. Your hot shoe is a steel shoe that goes over your boot so that your foot does not stick to the ground.

My name is Gary Kinsler. I have light shoe and I make steel shoes for flat track motorcycle racers. We're in the back of our bus. We have a 1982 Blue Bird school bus. Everybody knows it as the prison bus and we live in the front. We build hot shoes out of the back. Everybody uses hot shoes. Dads will call and their little four-year-old kid will be running a 50 and he needs a hot shoe. Just about anybody that is out there racing a flat track motorcycle, men, women, children, age, it has no limit, no gender limit. Anybody that is out there flat track racing can use a hot shoe. All right, the Bible talks a lot about working. The Bible talks a lot about working. God is not against work and he tells us to do everything is unto the Lord. He also tells us to gain wisdom. So I'm going to take the next like 10 minutes or so and I'm going to show you some wisdom on like, I'm not saying this for everybody, maybe you can learn something, maybe go get a job or something. Watch this over and over and over again and learn something from this of how to pressure wash, how to house wash. I just was pressure washing the other day at work. It matters in life. It's something simple that you can make money from where you don't have to go back to your old ways, but you can make a legitimate living that honors God. So listen, what Proverbs tells us all the time to gain wisdom, here's some wisdom for you. Shout out to the Blackhawks for giving this idea of helping people learn how to work. Here's some simple stuff, different clips to help you. Maybe this is something you'll do when you get out.

All right, guys. So this is just me unloading the van at the pressure washer, got the 100 foot hose, blower disc, chemicals, and pretty much just prepping everything up. Take a look at that driveway that we got there, sidewalk, and just wait for the transformation. All right, guys. So we got this chemical with us, Zep. If you guys are familiar with it, it's driveway and concrete pressure washing, removes tough oil stains and grime, concrete, asphalt, brick, patio, driveways, and parking lots. Okay. This is about to be it. I'm going to blow this off, put this in the pump sprayer, and spray it all up. That's what I'm talking about there. Boom. And I actually do like this product. See? Using it for a house wash we got on Saturday. Oh, yeah. All right, guys. So like I said, I do like that product, Zep. I use it for most of my jobs. Okay. Pre-wet all the concrete here. Pre-wet the concrete. So now I'm about to spray my chemical out of the pump sprayer here. I'm going to let it dwell for about five minutes and then go over it with the wand. All right. Look at that transformation. Beautiful. I love that chemical. I let it sit for about five minutes and went over it with the disc and looked at that difference.

Now let's get into the driveway. Okay. So how I got this job, I was driving down the street that I am working on a kitchen for and I seen this guy sweeping his driveway. And, you know, he's sweeping the driveway from all the leaves from the trees and stuff and I see that his driveway actually needs to be pressure washed. So me seeing that he's sweeping his driveway tells me he cares a little bit about his driveway. So I approached him with a flyer and talked to him, told him what I do. You know, sold him all my services. And he told me he would ask his wife because he actually wanted to do it himself and just didn't have the time to. So his wife said he wanted someone professional and, you know, they were going to give it a try. So we booked an appointment the next day for 3 o'clock p.m. I went over there. I went to Home Depot first, got all the material I needed. Then went over there, got the job done for them. I charged $125 for this driveway. And they actually referred me to two of their neighbors who also want pressure washing services on their driveway as well and their house, okay? So I set this lady up with... Hey y'all, welcome back to Dad's Day Off DIY. Today we're soft washing the house with this Ryobi 2800 PSI gas-powered pressure washer, a 1 liter foam cannon attachment from Tool Daily, and my go-to soft wash mixture. All I'll be using here is Dawn dish soap and good old household bleach. For my mixture I use about 6 to 8 ounces of dish soap and about 8 to 10 ounces of bleach and then just top it off with water. I'm going to start off here by wetting down the entire surface. Notice that I am spraying from a distance and just trying to wet the entire surface. We're not trying to use the pressure washer to clean and possibly end up damaging any of the surface.

More importantly, we do want to make sure that we go ahead and spray and saturate all of the ground below the area that we're going to be soft washing and that's just going to help prevent our mixture from harming any of the grass or plants below. After we've wet the surface, we're going to attach the foam cannon with our mixture to the end of the pressure washing wand and start coating. With this foam cannon, it has adjustable nozzles so you can adjust the fan to a wider or more narrow stream if you've got some areas that are harder to reach. After we've let our mixture soak, we're going to come back and rinse it all down with your wide spray nozzle and again, you're not blasting here, we're soft washing. Let the pressure washer do the lifting, don't get too close and don't damage anything. If you still have some tough spots left after the first round, I'd suggest you go ahead and reapply and let soak for another 10 to 15 minutes, rinse and repeat. Before you even think about going out there and getting customers, there are a few things that you need to get set up with so that when people come across your business, you actually look legitimate and worth hiring. The first thing I would set up right away is a Google My Business profile. This is where your reviews are going to live, this is where your photos are going to go and over time, this becomes one of the main ways that people find you without having to chase them down. And a lot of people wait until later to set this up, then they're trying to go back and build it after the fact. It's a lot easier just to start it now and build it as you go. After that, I would pick a business name and get a simple logo made. Now this is something that people spend way too much time on in the beginning, okay? You don't need a perfect name, you don't need some expensive branding package, you just need something that looks clean, something that you're comfortable with putting on a shirt or a yard sign and then you move on, okay? None of that is going to get your first customer. Alright, and the next piece then, honestly, one of the most important things early on is getting photos of yourself actually doing the work.

That means photos of you holding the wand, photos of you cleaning, photos of you standing next to your equipment or your truck, alright? These are what I like to call your money shots because when someone is deciding who to hire, they're not just thinking about the service, they're thinking about who is actually going to show up at their house. When they see a real person doing real work, it builds trust immediately. Those photos don't have to be perfect, but they do need to be real, not just some basic stock images. Please don't use stock images, okay? Now once you have those basics in place, now you can actually focus on getting customers. This is where the first week really starts to matter, alright? During week one, I'm focused on getting set up and getting moving as quickly as possible. I'm not trying to make everything perfect and I'm not trying to have everything figured out, alright? I just want to get to the point where I can go out and actually do the work. If I don't have any real jobs yet, I'm going to create my own opportunities by doing a driveway or a house for a friend, a family member, or even a neighbor at a lower price or hell, even for free if I need to, okay? The goal here isn't to make money right away. The goal is to get experience, get photos, and get something that I can use to show other people what I'm capable of doing. Now by the end of week one, I want to have a Google My Business profile set up, I want to have some basic branding in place, and I want to have at least a few solid photos of me working, and I want to be ready to start reaching out to people. Now moving into week two, this is where I start really focusing heavily on getting my first customers. The first place I'm going to do is go ahead and go to people I already know, friends, family, neighbors, old co-workers, people I went to school with, anyone that I already have some kind of connection with. I would actually sit down and write a list of these people out so I'm not just randomly

thinking of them, alright? Once I have that list, I'm reaching out to them one by one with a simple message letting them know what I'm doing. It doesn't need to be complicated, alright? It doesn't need to sound like a sales pitch. It just needs to let people know that I started a pressure washing business and that I'm available if they need anything cleaned up. Most people just don't do enough of this. You know, they send a handful of messages, don't get immediate responses, and then they assume it doesn't work, alright? But in reality, this comes down to volume and consistency. I would be reaching out to 20 or 30 people, knowing that some of those conversations will turn into jobs, and some of them will turn into referrals later on. And at the same time, I'm starting to put out yard signs in my area. I'm keeping the design simple with my company. name, main services, and a way to contact me. I'm not trying to cram a bunch of information on there. All right, I just want people to understand quickly what I do when they see the sign. Now where I place those signs matters just as much as how they look. I'm putting them in areas with high traffic, like neighborhood entrances, busy intersections, and places where people are already thinking about their homes like shopping centers, or maybe some home improvement stores. Now instead of spreading them all over a huge area, I'm focusing on a smaller radius, you know, around three to five mile circle so that people start seeing my name repeatedly. By the end of week two, my goal is to have at least a couple jobs booked even if they're not priced perfectly. What matters is getting those first jobs done so I can build momentum. Now as you move into week three, things start to feel a little different

because now you have some experience and now you have some proof of concept. At this point, every job becomes extremely important. I'm making sure I'm taking strong before and after photos every single time. All right, I'm asking every single customer for a review before I leave. If they don't leave one right away, I'm following up with them afterwards to make sure I get that review. Now I have some proof I can start reaching out beyond just the people that I know. And this is where I began contacting realtors. Now realtors around homes every single day, they constantly need services like pressure washing before listings go live, I would go on a platform like Fiverr and have someone put together a list of realtor contacts for me, right. And once I had that list, I can reach out to them with simple messages, you know, introducing myself and letting them know that I can help them with their properties in order for them to get cleaned up, right, I'm not trying to hard sell them, I'm just making myself known and positioning myself as someone that they can call when they need help. And at the same time, I'm still doing everything I was doing before reaching out to people, right, keeping my signs out and taking on as many jobs as I can handle. Now by the time that you get into week four, you should start to feel some momentum building, you've got a few jobs completed, you've got some photos, you've got some reviews, and your Google profile is starting to look like a real business. Now this is the point where a lot of people slow down because they feel like they've made some progress. But this is actually where you want to push even harder, I'm doubling down on everything that's working, I'm continuing to reach out to people, I'm continuing to put out signs, I'm continuing to take on jobs, and

I'm continuing to build my reviews and my photos. And over time, all of this starts to stack more photos leads to more trust, more reviews leads to more credibility. And eventually, that turns into inbound leads where people are finding you instead of you chasing them. Now, if you follow this process for 30 days, and you actually stay consistent with it, you're not just going to have a business started, you're going to have real momentum.
