Keep Rowing

First of all, I'm not going to be like, what? You know what? I'm done rolling. That's what I think of that. Oh, what it is, what it ain't, you already know it's time to put another one in that pan dough app bank, baby. Hello ladies and gents all over Pando land. Welcome in. Welcome in. Welcome in. My name is Trevor and I'm a part of a small church here in Northeast Florida, just South of Jacksonville, a little bit North of Daytona beach. If you're familiar with the area, pretty much between Palm coast and Jacksonville, a city called St. Augustine, where we just have a heart to help people champion every season of their life, including you wherever you are all over the United States of America with our DOC family. If you are with us every week and, and maybe you row with us every single week, you hear us talk about that quite a bit. We talk about it in this way is because I got another one. Set that down. We talk about it this way that if champion church, we look at it essentially like a big row boat, right? And the only way we move forward is everybody is rowing together. And even you, it's not just if you're on the outside or it's not just when you get on the outside, even you, wherever you are, can help us row. You can tell somebody about it. You could share it. You can converse about it. I see that the letters and stuff like that where this thing's loose, loose as a goose as they say.

Come on, man. Anyhow, I had the other day has nothing to do with them talking about. I saw several geese and I was like, man, look at all those, look at all those geeses. And the person I was with, it was like, you're, and I was like, well, that's kind. That's nice. It's called a gaggle of geese. If you didn't know, nothing to do with the sermon or even message video show, whatever, just a gag, a gaggle, a gaggle of geese is what it is. It's not geese is, it's not a bunch of, I say a bunch of geese, I guess it's a gaggle of geese. What was I saying? Nothing to do. This is my problem. Sometimes right here is I forget what I was saying. Oh, if champion is a robo, it takes all of us to row and you can do it. You can have conversations. I love when I see things where people are like, Hey, we're, we're talking about the message. We're talking about this stuff. We're telling each other, Hey, the newest videos up, all of that kind of stuff where we try to release it here every single week. But I do have some breaking news. I've got a couple, I finally made it by the mailbox. I've got a couple of pictures here that I want to kind of share. I'll do that probably towards the end. I've got this. Where did that one go? I want to say this was from, if I want to say this right, yeah, that's what I thought. Spider Mike almost said magic Mike, not the same. Spider Mike sent this in to me cause he knows with this one, I'm always, there's a microphone

above me kind of get the room stuff. I'm always hitting stuff with this or because we say everybody grabs an or everybody rows. We're all rowing together. This is just the seat that I sit in to row, but it takes everybody rowing together. Thank you. A spider Mike for sending me this one and that way I can do it and not, not hit stuff with it. So thank you buddy. Really appreciate you sending this. Where do I want to put this? I don't know. I'll set it here for right now. All right. Got some things I need to deal with. Some a housekeeping I need to deal with. Got a email this week from the wonderful people at Pando and I mean that the amazing people at Pando and what I'm about to say is we are not going to turn this into, Oh, we're mad or upset or they're taking this stuff away or any of that kind of stuff. Pando has been nothing but incredible to me and to all of you when you think about it, like if, if it wasn't for the Pando app and got behind bars, we like, I would never have this connection. I would never be able to do this. I'm so thankful that we get to be on their platform now in their paperwork. When I signed up, I'm going to admittedly say this and I told them this. I did not read all of the paperwork. I expected 150, 200 people to watch. And so I was just going to take what we do in the cafeteria at the church and essentially just put it up on this, had no idea, no idea. We would have the, the, the champion family with the DOC, the department that stands for department of corrections.

If you're taking notes that we have, I would have never in a million years thought that we would have 225,000 of y'all discipling with this and all of that kind of stuff. I would have never thought the views that we, I would, I would never thought we trend every single week. Like are you kidding me? Like we're up there trending with all these like massive names in ministry. And here I am with all of you. with two oars in hand, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gents, just rowing away. So in that contract, there were some things listed about copyrighted material, and I was under a different understanding, and so some of the videos and stuff are going to change. Now, I've got a phone call with them today. We're not going anywhere, we're not getting shut down, any of that kind of stuff, but the format of the show is going to change. That is going to happen. There's some things I'm not gonna be able to put up, again, which it is what it is, it's fine. We're not gonna be like, oh, here's what I've learned. Here's what I've learned in life, and I think all of you would admit this. Things are gonna pivot. You miss sayings. For me, I swung and a miss. I did not read, honestly, again, I thought 150 or 200 people were gonna watch this. I didn't realize we would be over 19 million views in just a few short months.

I would have never thought that, ever, ever. I would have never dreamed that we have this amazing DOC family like we do. And so, I just kind of signed the bottom of it, set up the credit card to pay for it, and just kind of, here's what happens. And then what began to happen is, if you remember, if you go back and watch old episodes, some of them had to be taken down. If you remember what happened in April, again, that was on me. If you go back and watch old ones, it would do like field trips. So my son and I would go to like the alligator farm, or we went to Bucky's, or we went to Bass Pro. That's what I'm repping today, that Bass, or maybe Bass Pro, I'm pretty sure it's Bass, maybe Bass Pro hat. You know, here's the crazy part with these hats. I remember when they were 399. They're like 499, 599. They're pretty cheap. They're pretty cheap. It's a cheap little forehead cover-up, because God knows, God knows I need it. So anyhow, so there's some things that we did that we can't do now, that kind of stuff. Again, I'm not gonna be, first of all, I'm not gonna be like, what, you know what? I'm done rowing.

That's what I think of that. No, I'm not gonna do that. Are you kidding me? We're still rowing. We're still rowing together. I didn't read that part of the contract. That's on me, but we're still gonna row. If you remember, I used to do field trips and stuff. Right now, with work, I can't do that, but we'll figure it out, man. There's different ways we can get different types of videos, and we will work through it. We're gonna figure it out, but here's the truth of the matter. More importantly, we're gonna keep championing every season together. Like, we're gonna row together, and I know this. I know this. There's some of you that don't give a flying flip what old Trev has to say. That's okay. You're not hurting my feelings at all. I'm just glad you're here. I'm glad you're on the app. I'm glad you gave some random dude with a, what's the one that is this? Sour Nova, Sour Nova Prime. Let me hit that. A chance, and just clicked on the video. That's what it's about.

Now, some of you, you love the teaching. You love what we're about. We love, or you love, that we love, that we all love together, to help each other champion every season of our life. That's why we exist. Champion Church is not just to have, you know, a random wrestling belt. It's not just to have a sweet name with some, the most basic branding you've ever seen in your entire life. It's to help us champion every season. So here's what we're gonna decide. Sometimes when you swing and miss, sometimes when you're like, man, that's on me, like it is right now, what are you gonna do? Are you gonna back down? Are you gonna say, forget this, I'm not rowing? Are you gonna say, you know what, that's it, nothing good ever happens, and things that are good get taken away? No, listen, that's what, I'm gonna say this politely here, but I want you to hear my heart, hear me. That's what immature disciples do. Mature disciples own it. Mature disciples say, you know what, this isn't the end of my rowing. This is, woo, woo, I was about to throw it. This isn't the end of this for me.

I'm going to keep going because God has opened up doors. He has had this, made this available for us to do life and disciple together and grow in Jesus together. There has to be a moment of this. Either, I remember when I went through my divorce. I remember going through this and a gentleman told me, he looked me straight in the face one day. I was, I mean, I was being like, whoosh, she left me. Oh man, like this, what am I gonna do? He looked me straight in the eyes and said, listen, here's what you're gonna do. You're either gonna melt down or you're gonna man up. He didn't say I can't have emotions. He didn't say I couldn't voice what was going on. But at the end of the day, either I'm gonna lay down, I'm gonna melt down or I'm gonna own my faults in it, man up and say, you know what, guess what, I'm still breathing. and guess what God still has purpose for me guess what you're still holding that tablet guess what you still have the opportunity that so many other inmates don't have whether it's in a faith-based dorm whether it's in a prison whether you're you're an ag sag where you're on CM whether you're sitting in death row Texas whether you're sitting in death row Missouri like oh it's not allowed to say that with that word sorry wasn't trying to give shit I was just you understand what I said like whatever it might be wherever you are you are privileged to still have this and to be able to connect with us in this way we're not gonna throw the ore in we're not gonna just quit rowing we're gonna keep going baby we're not gonna melt down we're gonna man or woman ladies and gents up that's what's gonna happen things happen pivots happen the question is how do you respond we know this life is so much more about how you respond

than what you do in it is so many things are gonna happen that we that is not in our control but how do we respond it's not gonna make us throw our hands up no no it's gonna make us own it and then say you know what okay what's the next right step that's the key that's the key man when things don't go right when you messed it up I'm admitting I didn't read the contract what are you gonna do I'm gonna own it and I'm gonna say Lord what is the next right thing that you want me to do what's the next right thing maybe you're sitting there and you're like hey you know what I messed up and I'm sitting in this jail I'm sitting in this dorm I'm sitting in this prison I'm sitting here maybe I was supposed to be out by now or maybe I should have already went to trial by now or maybe I've gotten sentenced again because I'm missing I'm gonna own it and then I'm gonna ask God what is the next right thing how do I continue to row how do I keep moving how do I keep growing in a relationship with you Jesus because at the end of the day that's what it's about man that's what it's about ladies and gents it's not about big foreheads and backwards hats it's not about that sweet prime it's not about the clips and all that I love that we were able to do it we'll see what we're able to put up I don't know it's not about sweet rassling bells it's not about awesome things like that it's about Lord what's the next right thing for me to do right now that's what it's about I already had an episode built but when this came I'm be respectful again I can't stress this enough man Pando has been amazing with us I cannot stress this enough of how great they have been with and are being with us we're not getting shut down any that kind of stuff we're just having to pivot having to switch having to move I'm got a conversation send them an email I was like hey and they're all about like hey let's all jump on the phone and talk and work so and it's not just with Pando some of you asked about the church building this you said is the mattress firm building in past episodes yes that is our that will be our forever home we're meeting in the cafeteria right now that will be our forever home there's stuff going on with that that I didn't see coming there's stuff going on with that I didn't see happening massive things that have put we were supposed to

be in there in April it's July when I'm filming this we were supposed to be in a long time ago right and like so but we're not there we're not even a step closer than when we acquired the building back in December what are you gonna do you meltdown are you gonna man up what are you gonna do well I'm just gonna lay down because things aren't going right and this isn't happening and it still isn't happening why God why are you doing this or or is this just another opportunity for me to say Holy Spirit lead me is this just another opportunity to say Holy Spirit what do you want me doing in this I thought we'd be different I'd hoped it'd been different by now but it's not so where do you want me to do what do you want me to do what or can I pick up is there something I could do in my in my camp is there something I could do in this jail is there something I could do in this prison is there a conversation I can Lord how can I keep rolling because I know that's what you called me to do that's it I think that's it yeah I think that's it that's where my heart is we'll see what happens we're gonna be right here we'll figure it out I'll be teaching right here listen it is what it is man it is what it is I still love it oh no that none of that's changed I'm still about 7,000 letters behind is what it feels like and let me say this too I don't say that boastfully at all it bothers me I'm hundreds on securist and smart inmate. I'm so behind on that. And it doesn't change my love or heart. And if you watch past episodes, man, this is just a season of life I am in and just not able to do it. Even today, had to switch some things around, get some things in because I was like, man, I've got it. I've got to refilm essentially. And I want you guys to hear my heart of what's going on just to keep you in the loop as well.

So I did go pick up some mail. Again, got this from Spider Mike, got some other things in there. Thank you, buddy, for sending all that kind of stuff. I'm excited to try some of that. Let's see, got this one. This one, I think, oh, this one was funny. This made me laugh. Oh, because you know what? Spider Mike asked a question. This is what I want to do. I've told y'all before, I want to get to the point where I'm asking the toughest questions about Christianity that you have. Yes, people love to, and I love to answer, even if you don't agree with me. Like that's, I'm not even saying I'm, like it's the end all be all. I can't stand. Like here's what I believe. End all be all, Jesus is the way to heaven. He is the way, the truth, the life. No one comes through the Father except through him, that is John 14. At the end of the day, it is Jesus is the way to heaven. He is king and he is savior. I am not saved by my own works. I am not saved by doing certain rituals or things together. I am saved because I receive what Jesus did for me on the cross at Calvary, and guess what?

The same salvation that I have, you can have as well, according to Romans chapter 10. Pando makes it incredibly easy with the button right below me. You can do that there. If you haven't subscribed, hit that as well, but subscribing is not gonna get to heaven, but it will get you discipled. Anyhow, it's like that to me is end all, like that is the big thing. Pretty much everything outside of that, we don't have to agree. We don't have to be on the same page. We could have different feelings about, I don't know, eating shellfish. We can have different feelings about Halloween. We can have different feelings about cutting your hair or overindulging. We can have different feelings about all this kind of stuff, but I think just addressing the questions and getting people talking, I'd love to do something like that and a couple episodes I've talked about that, but he, let me find it again. He says, okay, he says, I'd like to ask you a serious question because it is not an easy subject and it encompasses many excuses and rationalizations. Ooh, good stuff. Sorry, I keep sniffling in your ear, and that is forgiveness, okay?

That's great. That's a great point. Forgiveness, man, it causes so many things. He says, so allow me to start it this way. You do not owe any of us, yet you find value in us. I absolutely do, for sure. No matter what we did to get here, even if our loved ones fell off or left us behind, your mindset, your mindset, meaning me, is they should forgive us. Yes, if they are a follower of Jesus, that is what Jesus says. We talked about that in some past episodes. Very, got very, like very granular on that. If you haven't seen that, go watch that. But do we also deserve another chance with them if we have demonstrated change? Is that a yes or maybe or it depends? And what is the criteria? Because the way I see it, how forgiveness is supposed to be, the example in the Bible anyway is John 3.16, right? Okay, well, the example in the Bible would be Jesus. John 3.16, not just trying to correct you on this spider mic. The example would be Jesus. John 3.16, for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.

Then verse 17 goes into Jesus did not come in the world to condemn the world, but through the world that he may be saved. Okay, so that's talking about how God loved and he gave. Yes, he forgave us for the sin that was against him, but saying John 3.16 is the perfect example I don't think that fits there. So not just trying to be corrective, just trying to have a conversation, all right? So, and your part two this week, you alluded to a friend of yours. Yep, okay, so this is where we're gonna get, oh yeah, let's talk about some personal stuff. Whom you said you forgave and hoped he changed. Yep, and both read the wrong. Correct, yep. Why is he not worthy of a second chance at second chance if change is evident? And then he goes into himself. I can't necessarily read this next part on the program. God, I don't wanna get flagged. Let me jump down. Then he talks about seeing testimonials and what we talked about. Okay, great question. Why this old friend that I have, why do I not want to give him a second chance? Great question. Have I forgiven him? Absolutely.

Why there's not a chance? I just don't, there's something in me that maybe it's because a couple years have passed. Maybe it's, I look back and I'm like, Maybe I didn't like who I was around him. And I'm not saying he's influencing me. I'm not blaming anybody for who I am. And then at the end of the day, I think there just has to be the reality of some people just click and some don't. There's friends that I was friends with in my 20s, I'm not friends with today. We just don't click. We just have different philosophies on life. I'm not talking about Jesus or anything. I'm just talking about philosophies and life. Different people have, you know, there's people that don't like, shocker, don't like me for sure. Because you know, I have a philosophy in life that's very much go along to get along. I have a philosophy in life that isn't about excess and money, like if I can be happy with what I have, I'm not trying to be like, have nothing, but if I could just pay my bills and my kids have a good life, like, okay, I'm happy. You know what I'm saying? So I think sometimes there's philosophies in life that specific friend, we have two different philosophies in life.

We became friends because of church and we weren't using this terminology then, but because of rowing together and we did a lot of that together. But I think now there's just a difference in philosophies. There's just a difference in how I see life and how I see the world. And I don't, again, I don't, man, I want to be respectful here. And I'm just, I'm not even saying I'm right. I'm just being from my own heart. I just don't want to have that connection again. Actually has nothing to do with why we're not friends anymore. I just think, hey, you know what? I don't want to have that connection again. It's just not for me. It's just not, I don't think it's healthy for me or healthy for him. I don't know if that helps or that might make you think less of me, but that's just, that's who I am. So, all right. All right, this one was good. This one is from Smitty. Smitty sent this in. Like I'm gonna like when I have the phone call a panda later I'm literally gonna have to step out of work and to have a conversation so Anyhow, yeah, awesome. All right.
