And that's really important There's so many different ministries that that we need people to help in because you know The church involves a lot of moving parts You know and So usually we have a leadership meeting every year to project for the year But this year we're gonna open it up for our first annual pinholders meeting and that's important amen So if you are a pin holder, we're inviting you on November 21st At 11 it started at 11 in the morning We're gonna talk about the vision for 2027 the ministries of different types of things We're gonna talk about training and fellowship. We're gonna have a guest speaker coming in for that and And that's an invitation to all those that are pinholders now Starting now We're not going to have any more classes till January of 2027 But you're just like man, I really want to go to that pin holder meeting I'm missing a class or I'm missing two or I'm missing all six Well, we're gonna do something that we're probably gonna do maybe only once a year and it's called ignite and what we're gonna do is over two days We're gonna give you an accelerated discipleship so if you're missing a class we can we're gonna have to we're gonna have to make copies of this and Give people because not everybody's in remember But we're gonna do all six classes and two nights on Thursday November 5th and Friday November 6th if you're missing a class or don't know which class you're missing talk to Sharon and she will tell you because Each one has time, but if you want to do all six where you're gonna hang out with me for you know two nights and And we want to get you your pin. We want to get you involved. We want to get you in that meeting If you can't do this, there's another way to do it is online if you join the school the discipleship online program You can do that at on your own home on your own computer, but to be on there There's a cost a monthly cost for it, but We're inviting you here and like I said, we're gonna have these flyers printed out We just made this this morning, so we don't have copies to give you But we if you need a class that's missing

That's a way to get it done so you can be here and you can be a part of that You know as you guys know, we're Grace International Church and The ministries that we support are really important to us the three that that that we always give and any time you give we ask you Adicate three dollars toward that that way we can be a blessing to pastor George and India pastor Thomas in Nigeria and pastor Moses in Uganda I believe that 15 years later the reason we're here is because we do support missions It is important because you got to understand that three dollars might need might not be a lot for you, but we It helps significantly in a way that you would never know. So whenever you fill out your envelope, whenever you give, always please make sure that you allocate the three dollars because when finance does it, they divide it, they divide it and they allocate it to where it needs to go. And this is something that I believe with all my heart that's really, really important, guys. As far as for offering and tithing, I do want to say that I know a couple months ago we were talking about, I asked the church, are we going to go straight into the iceberg and sink? Or are we going to change the direction? And everyone said, no, I don't want to hit the iceberg. I love what we do here. And we all said, let's change it. I think the iceberg is bigger now than it was two months ago. And I'm going to just be straight up and honest is that we're to the point, you do the math, because if I tell you the whole amount, you're going to freak out and I want to give it off.

So I'm going to say this, if 100 people, we need $70 from 100 people or else we're not making rent Thursday, do that math to show you how big that iceberg is. And it's like, I love the fact, I love just talking to Angel and I said, man, I love preaching. I love sharing, I love teaching, I love it. And if somebody would say, what's the worst part? They'll say, the worst part is a funeral, huh? I was like, no, the worst part is this, what I'm doing right now, because I don't like this. I don't like this because it's kind of cringy when I see churches that are watering down the gospel and just cranking it out and saying, well, let's do one worship song, let's do a 15 minute sermon, let's just crank it out. When I see that stuff, when I see, see, I like fast food when I need it fast, but we shouldn't treat church that way. And unfortunately, when we treat church that way and we treat a church like it's a corporation and a fast food restaurant, there's no issues, there's no problems and the money's flowing. (gentle piano music) I don't know what to do with that, I don't know. I think, I just don't know what to do with that, guys. You know, and it is what it is. And, you know, if I'm gonna preach and just share things then I'm just gonna talk, on this part that I don't like the most, you know?

I don't wanna feel like somebody's landlord, I don't wanna feel like somebody's nothing. I want to be a pastor that preaches the gospel of Jesus Christ in the way the word of God tells us to preach it without compromise. But, you know, I didn't even know how bad it was until this morning I looked. I'm like, where are we at here? That's a lot, guys. It's a lot. You know, we have amazing teachers that wanna teach our kids, and are teaching our kids. Great youth that really wanna pore into our youth. Young adults that wanna pore into that. I think we have a pretty good Bible study to be able to go line by line scripture by scripture to get things and to understand the context of things. You know, yesterday, how many people did we feed? Over 600 people, it was nonstop the grocery giveaway. Our pantry is nearly empty. We gave so, I mean, it was insane. So many. Because we know, yeah, we wanna teach the word. We wanna teach the gospel. At the same time, we wanna help the community. You know, from 10 o'clock, from 945 till 1030, yeah, we had a close early, we ran out of food. It was nonstop. I think that we deserve to say, you know what? We should be in Modesto.

We should be a beacon of light. We should be constantly avoiding and hitting icebergs every single month. But I believe we can do it. Not because I'm hopeful. Here's the thing, guys, I don't live in a fantasy world. In the 15 years, we've lost two buildings before. So I've been here before so this is real. This isn't just some talk. This is real. I Love what we have here. I Love the conversations I have I love the growth I see in people. I love Everything I love our families. I love you guys I love what we we're doing. I Believe in what we're doing and we have to continue on we have to go forward guys And I'm not giving anyone a guilt trip. This is nothing but reality. It is what it is because rent is coming due and So if if you are like, you know what? I'm doing my best. Well, praise God. God knows our hearts, right? You know, but I'm talking to those that are online that there's there's a consistency of like 600 to a thousand people that watch every single week if you like this channel We need your help Because this is all of us All of us collectively together and I truly believe what God is doing here at house of rest I do believe that the Spirit of God is here. I do believe that God wants to do a great work I do believe that we're gonna see more salvation's I do believe that we're gonna see amazing weddings and matrimonies and children being born and Children growing up and our children learning instruments and our children becoming part of the worship and just just beautiful things But don't allow the enemy to do what the enemy does So with that there's ushers and greeters. They have envelopes for you. If you need one you can get one You can bring it yourself. Lord, I pray for this message to be shared in the same way that you gave it to me, Lord. To be unhindered by any situation, the financial situation or anything, Lord God, let me preach this word without any hindrance, Lord God, to not let the enemy come in, to steal, to kill, and to destroy, to let this word be shared with the boldness, Lord God, in the same way, Lord God, that you want me and told me to deliver it, Lord. We thank you. Anything that is not of God I commanded to leave in this place, this is holy ground. We declare it to be holy ground. If you have your Bible, I want you to lift it up. This is my Bible. It is God's word to me.

My guide and my strength. I bring it ready to learn. I open it with faith in Jesus. I live it with courage, without it, I grow weak, with it, I grow strong. Today I bring it, believe it, and obey it. In Jesus' name, amen, amen, amen. You know, the Bible says, it says that it's a, it's the Word of God is like a double edged sword that cuts to the marrow of the bone. You know, this Bible is something more than just paper that was printed at a printer. It is the living Word of God. It is a very thing that if you are a drowning man or woman, this is your oxygen. It is this word that has kept me going, that has kept me alive, that has kept me afloat, and has kept me going forward. This is important, your Word of God, your sword is something that is precious. And what's interesting, it's not that it's just, it is just paper. Somebody can take your Bible, stomp on it, light it on fire, but they still can't destroy the Word of God. So the same time this book is precious to me, it's the words that are in it, not the paper itself. You know, and I just want us to always remember that when you see a Bible that is marked up, ripped up, and scratched up, usually it's a person that isn't. And when you see somebody that is all scratched up

and beat down, it's usually their Bible looks perfect 'cause they're not opening it. The Word of God is true. This book has outlasted kingdoms and empires and dictators and nations and armies. And the Word of God still stands strong. And that's nothing to do with today's message I just want to share about how precious this Bible is. That was a free one, yeah, that was a free one. Today's message though, is called the master counterfeiter. The master counterfeiter, and if you can get your Bibles, we're gonna go to second Corinthians chapter 11. Second Corinthians chapter 11, starting at 13. Starting at 13. Let me know when you have it. I still hear a few pages, that's all good. (birds chirping) (birds chirping) (birds chirping) It says, "For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ, and no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light." So it is no surprise if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds. You know, today as we talking about the master counterfeiter, I want us to get, and I know many of us have read this or maybe it's been a while, but we need to remind ourselves that Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. And why do I say that is because, see, if Satan was always disguised as a devil worshipper or this or that or whatever, and if that type of thing would creep into the church, we would catch on. We would say, "Hey, you can't do that here.

You can't be here. You can't live that life here. You can't infect people here." But Satan is saying, "I'm going to come into the church and disguise myself as an angel of light." And it says, "No wonder that such men deceitful and disguising themselves as apostles." Why is this dangerous? Because in the church, I believe in 2026, that much of the church has been infiltrated. And it's been infiltrated by such people as these, because even Satan disguises himself as angels of light. So a lot of us were just like watching out for things that look evil and things that look wicked, and Satan already knows. While we're busy looking for that stuff, he's creeping in right through the front door. You know, I decided to title it the master counterfeiter, because that's exactly what he is. You know, Satan will not counterfeit something that doesn't have value. Think about it. When you go to the flea market, they're not going to counterfeit something that's of no value. You're going to see Louis Vuitton. You're going to see Gucci. You're going to see Nike with the S, instead of Psyche. You're going to see Chanel. You're going to see Rolex. All of those things. Why? Because those things are expensive. They have value to them. So somewhere, somebody in Taiwan or wherever it is, says, "You know what? I'm going to make a knockoff, because there's value in the original.

So I'm going to counterfeit that so I can trick people." Everything makes no sense, counterfeiting something, unless it's something of value. And we have to keep that in mind, because when we think about the church, we think about the gospel, we think about the gifts of the spirit, we think about those things. Those things are real, because if they weren't real, why would Satan counterfeit them? He only counterfeits that which has value. People say, "Oh man, people talk in tongues and that's fake." Why would Satan create a fake, unless there's a real? Think about that. Why would you bother doing that? Why would Satan bother mimicking or counterfeiting something unless there's something real and that real has value? And the list could go on and on with all these brands. These are just some of the ones that I thought of in the top of my head, but for us to really understand this, we've got to go all the way back to the beginning. And I know we do that a lot in the messages and sermons, but that's important because we want to have context of what we're talking about. So we've got to go to the beginning of when did this start? This is not something Satan started to do last year. This is not something he started to do 10 years ago. This goes all the way back and I wanted to take us back to Genesis chapter 2. For those of you that don't know, it's the beginning of the book. Genesis chapter 2, and we're going to get to where did this start, where did it begin? Because I want to make it so clear that everything we look at, we should question it. Every time we go to a store now, people use debit cards so much that it's weird when you actually pass a 20. So what do they do to your 20? how much more us when we're dealing with things that are spiritual, that when something is presented to us, whether a sermon, a Bible study, a Christian book, a podcast, that we don't hold it up to the light to see. Think about that. If McDonald's doesn't year 20, for something that's not eternal,

how much should we as Christians learn to put things to the light for things that are eternal? We need to live this way. And if you're somebody working in McDonald's or whatever, and let's say you don't want to do the pen thing, it's even conveniences you, most likely sometimes the time you don't put a mark on it is probably the time you were past the fake 20. There's no time in history, there's no time in the future where we can become lax in putting things to the light, especially as we near the end times as we ear, near the time of the Antichrist, well the Antichrist is already, the spirit of Antichrist is already there, but when he reveals himself, as we get closer and closer, the more we have to start putting things to the light, even if you hear it here, wherever it is you hear it, especially so much of social media, you've got to put things to the light. But let's go to the beginning, Genesis chapter 2 verse 8. It says, "And the Lord God planted a garden in Eden, in the east, and there he put the man whom he had formed. And out of the ground, the Lord God made to spring up every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. So he has his garden, starts putting the plants and the trees, and the tree of life was in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. A river flowed out of Eden to water the garden, and there it divided and became four rivers, so there was four rivers in the garden of Eden. The name of the first is the Pichon. It is the one that flowed around the whole land of Havilah where there is gold. Verse 12 in the gold of that land is good, Delium and Onyx stone are there. The name of the second river is a Guihong. It is the one that flowed around the whole land of Kush. 14 says, "And the name of the third river is a Tigris which flows east of Assyria, and the fourth river is a Euphrates, which the river Euphrates still exists today." And the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and to keep it. So we see here that God is describing to Moses, because Moses wrote Genesis, and he's saying this is what God did when he made the garden of Eden. It was beautiful. There was four rivers that divided. Here's the names of the rivers, and God created a place of life, a place of provision, because they could eat from it, and fellowship. Why do I say fellowship? Because actually, if you read Genesis, it says that God would walk in the garden. So the presence of God was there, provision is there, there was peace there. It was a perfect place, and you had these four rivers, and God created it. God is the only creator. There is no other creator.

There is none. See, a creator is different from an inventor, somebody that invents something, somebody invented the microwave, somebody invented the cell phone in your pocket, somebody invented it, but they use parts that were created. An inventor is not a creator. An inventor has to use things that somebody created, and there's only God that's a creator. There is no other creator. There's none like God. He's the only one. And he created this garden here, and God walked in the garden. It was God's original design, and he created all things. God's presence was there, and what's crazy about it is that I read and read and read, and look, so many historians, archaeologists, they have searched the world, trying to find this garden of Eden. Where is it at? And they go to the Middle East, and they go searching, and they try to figure out where is this garden, because Euphrates is still there. These rivers, so they're like, let's figure it out where this garden is at, because maybe we could just get there. And that's interesting, because this is going to go, according to this message, is that man has always tried to search for that place, because when you can't find something, you'll create it, or not create it, duplicate it. That's important. So there's like four places where people think it's at. And I just want to just throw it out there. I'm not saying it's there. I'm just saying this is what some of the archaeologists and historians have said. One of them says that the Garden of Eden is in Mesopotamia, which is modern day Iraq. Because the two rivers, the Tigris and Euphrates, go through Iraq. So that's very well known. It talks about it. So that's one place many people think the Garden of Eden is at. The other idea is they believe that maybe it was a Persian Gulf. The Persian Gulf is actually a huge body of water,

but they believe that water wasn't originally there. So maybe the Garden of Eden is underwater now. That's another thought that people have said. Maybe that's why they can't find it, because it's underwater now. The third one is people believe in-- it's in Eastern Turkey or in Armenia. People who are Armenian believe because of old maps and even John Calvin, historic depictions of old maps. They believe that maybe it's there somewhere in Armenia near the near because Euphrates goes into Armenia. Some say, well, maybe it's Africa because the Nile River. The Nile River is just a major river, especially in that area. So they thought the Guihon River is actually another word for the Nile River. And the Nile goes through what we know as Egypt. So these are the theories that maybe well, maybe the Garden of Eden is there. And then you have some that say, you know what? It's not a real place. It's just a spiritual place. It's a symbolic spiritual state, a place that's just symbolic of perfection. It's not a physical location. You're never going to find it. You're not going to find it in a modern map. So you have the school of these different people saying where the Garden of Eden is at. But if you go to the book of Ezekiel, I think it's really interesting that it doesn't say

where it's at, but it gives us a hint in Ezekiel chapter 28. We read this passage. I want to say a month or two ago. Ezekiel chapter 28 verse 12. Now, you're not going to leave here knowing where the Garden of Eden is. I'm telling you right now. But it's interesting what it does say. And because, I mean, we're not doing a message about where the Garden of Eden is. We're talking about the master counterfeiter. But this is really important for us to understand and get a grip of how deep this goes as far as Satan wanting to counterfeit. Chapter 28 of Ezekiel. Chapter 28 of Ezekiel. All right. I do believe that this is talking about Satan. I know that there are some scholars who don't agree with that. But we're going to read it. And it's interesting because God is talking to somebody. And I'm going to go ahead and read 28, 12. Actually, the middle of 12. And he's telling this being, this person, you were the signet of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. I'm like, OK, maybe he's talking to a really handsome man. I don't know. But the next verse throws it off. Because then he says to this person, this being,

he says, you were in Eden, the Garden of God. Now, when I read Genesis, who was in Eden? Adam, Eve, and a serpent. In 1213, yeah, Ezekiel 28, 13 says, you were in Eden, the Garden of God. So that pretty much, he ain't talking to a person. And he says, every precious stone was your covering. Sardius, Topaz, and Diamond, Barrow, Onyx, and Jasper, Sapphire, Emerald, carbunkle. So in other words, he was made with jewels in his body. He was made out of jewels. I don't know any man that is made out of jewels. There's wrappers that their teeth are, but not their bodies. So he's talking to this being. And he says, you were in the Garden in the Garden of God, and you were covered in precious stones. You were crafted in gold where your settings they were prepared. Now here's the verse. He says, "You were an anointed guardian cherub. I placed you, you were on the holy mountain of God. In the midst of the stones of fire you walked. You were blameless in your ways. From the day you were created till unrighteousness was found in you, in the abundance of your trade, you were filled with violence in your midst and you sinned. So I cast you as a profane thing from the mountain of God." So he says, "You were an Eden and twice." He says, "It was a mountain, it was a high place. Wherever the Garden of Eden was that or whatever it was,

it was in a high place. So it's almost like this barrier where it molded together of humanity and heaven, humanity and God. It's almost like God and man could touch. This place was a place of perfection. So none of us were there, none of us were an Eden, none of us, but we see in Ezekiel that God is basically saying, "Man, I made you beautiful. I made you like this." But when you sinned, I threw you out of the mountain of God. Interesting, what did he tell the serpent? He says, "You're cursed, get out of here." I saw Satan fall like lightning from the sky. Now, if Satan hates God and has enmity again, against God, he wants to be like God. And he realizes that this place, this perfection, this Garden of Eden, it created this mid-ground of humanity being able to reach to heaven. Humanity lost their access to Eden. And ever since then, man has eventually always wanted to attempt to build that thing again. They wanna build it again. And you gotta understand too that we gotta understand is that everything that God creates, Satan corrupts. Everything that God creates, Satan corrupts. He creates a man and Satan corrupts the desires of the man. He creates the woman and Satan comes and corrupts the desires of the woman. Matter of fact, in the beginning of the Bible,

before anything was established, he says a man will leave his father and mother cleave into his wife, together they shall become one, be fruitful and multiply. In other words, have a lot of children, Satan comes once they'll board them all. Or even reaching abortion, he has their desires not be for each other so no children come at all. Everything that Satan does is to corrupt everything that God has done. And man has always had this ingrained in them is, if God won't take us back to the place that we wanna be at, to touch heaven, then we'll do it ourselves. Those are the most dangerous words when men say, I don't need God, I'll do it myself. Because this is the very spirit from the very beginning. And we just read that he was thrown from the holy mountain. Now, if we go to Genesis, stay in Genesis, but go to chapter 11 and look what happens. Starting at verse one, Genesis 11, something interesting happens. You know, it's interesting before we read it is, and I talked about this before, but just kind of summarize it to put it in context of this, is a lot of times we concentrate on the fall of Adam and Eve. And we forget everything else, but there was really three major rebellions we see in the Bible, three major things

when man completely rebelled against God. The fall and eating of the fruit, Adam and Eve, we always focus on that, but that was just one. The second one was the flood of what happened. The sons of God came and they got with the women, they created Nephilim and God said, you know what, you guys have destroyed the DNA of man, I have to completely flood all of you and kill all of you. That was the second one. The third one is what we're about to read right now. And in Genesis 11, Genesis 11, one, and as people migrated from the East, they found a plane in the land of Chanar and settled there. All these people, they settled there. And as it started to grow into a city, they said to one another, hey, come, let us make bricks and burn them thoroughly. And they had brick for stone and beater men for mortar. Why did they want bricks? You gotta imagine, by this time generations had passed, generation stories of how beautiful the Garden of Eden was, how amazing it was. They probably couldn't find it. They're like, man, if we could just go back to that place, if that place is beautiful, and they heard it from the grandma and grandpa, and it just went wrong and on. So generations later, they start to build a city, and then they start to see things they can make bricks. And then somebody says, you know what? If we are not allowed into the Garden of Eden,

a high place that touches heaven, what if we do it ourselves without God? Verse four, then they said, come, let us build ourselves a city and a tower with its top in the heavens, and let us make a name for ourselves unless we be dispersed over the face of the whole earth. They wanted to build that high place. Now, here's the thing I want you to understand is that Satan is, see, when we fell in sin, because of Adam and Eve, we were ingrained, we were infected, we had sin, it wouldn't wash off. And because of that, Satan became the God of this world, and the God of this world is not only a master counterfeiter, but a master manipulator, so he would manipulate them and say, and I'll prove this, what did he tell Eve? He said, did God say, right? He didn't actually go against what God said. He questioned what God said. Hey, Eve, did God say you would surely die? So we know that he whispers into the ears of those and think about it. Eve was not in a fallen state yet, and he was whispering into her ear. Imagine these generations now. So all of a sudden they build a city and I imagine Satan saying, you know what? You don't need God. We will build a mountain and we will reach the heavens without him.

We don't need his garden. We will build it ourselves. We will reach the heavens ourselves. In other words, we were counterfeit Eve. Eve, I'm sorry. Why? Why would he want to do that? Because the only reason to counterfeit the garden of Eden was because it had value, because it was a place where God wanted. So he puts it into the hearts of man, and the man starts saying, man, let's do bricks, let's do this, let's do that. We don't need God for this. We'll build this ourselves. We'll build the ministry ourselves. We'll build the empire ourselves. I don't need God. I don't need the Holy Spirit. I just get a whole bunch of money. Get a bunch of billboards. Just dump money into social media and we will build this ourselves. We don't need God. We just need fancy lights and smoke machines. We will do this. Why do you think that's so dangerous? That is an echo that has been going on from the beginning of time. We will build it ourselves.

Man has always wanted to reach God on their own terms, all the time. And I know, I hope, if you've said this, I hope you've repented and don't say it no more. This whole thing of, oh yeah, me and I don't gotta go to church. Me and God, we got our own thing. Why do you think that is so dangerous? I got my own thing with God because you want to build your own tower to reach Him. You wanna do it out of your own self. I can do this on my own. I don't need God. I can build this high place that'll reach Him. I don't gotta go through this book. I don't gotta go through the Holy Spirit. I don't gotta go through the cross and Calvary. I don't have to go through the resurrection. Me and God got our own thing. No, what you are saying is that, I'm not saying you, but somebody is saying, it's not even saying that we got something. It's some more that you got something. The desire for authority on earth and status in heaven has been going on from the beginning of time. I want to have status, I want people to love me, I want the world to love me, but I also want status in heaven. But I want authority here, I want to be able to operate here on this earth. But you know what? I want authority in heaven.

I want status in heaven, authority on earth, I'm sorry. And that's been the constant fight. It happens in government, it happens in business, it happens in politics, it happens in armies and generals, and it is this whole wanting authority here on earth, but I want status in heaven. And God says I have to choose, so you know what? I'll build my own mountain. I'll counterfeit what God has, and it doesn't work that way. It doesn't work like that, and the thing is that Satan will lie to us and will believe it. I quoted a verse last week, and it fits this, I quoted the verse of 2 Timothy 3, 5, where it says that you have the appearance of godliness, but you deny its power. See, maybe, just maybe this, as they were building the tower of Babel, maybe it looked amazing, maybe it looked beautiful, maybe it was just majestic, we don't know, maybe it was something that you would just, somebody a traveler would come and be like, wow, you guys built that, wow, you guys built that church, you guys built that ministry, wow. That's amazing. And look at what you have done, this is beautiful, it has the appearance of godliness, but you deny the very power of the Creator. What good is it to build something and not have the Creator himself be a part of it? What good is it to do anything without having him? What good is it to have a place and to have the appearance of godliness, to have the appearance of a Christian, to have the appearance of somebody that walks in righteousness and has the appearance of that, but you deny the very power that it comes from. We see this in the book of the Old Testament, if we would go and read the story of Daniel, for instance, we could see the manipulation happen. There's a part when Daniel prayed and he prayed and didn't get an answer for three weeks. Three weeks later the angel shows up and says, Daniel, you've been praying, you've been fasting, the Lord, he sent me right away. The second, the second you prayed to him, you have fast internet, fiber optic internet,

and your prayer went right to God and he gave me the answer, but I couldn't get back to you. Because the Prince of Persia and the Prince of Greece stopped me. Again, scholars say, well, he was talking about a prince, a real person, really? So the actual prince that sent on the throne and the Prince of Persia and the Prince of Greece really stopped an angel? No. What did we say? And I'm going to show you right now that Satan is a master manipulator and his demons are like puppet masters and they control the kings of this earth. So this angel was coming back down to give the answer back, but he was stopped by these princes. That's why we call them principalities. We don't fight against flesh and blood, but against principalities in high places. So clearly even that verse is not talking about people. We don't fight against flesh and blood. We fight against principalities in high places. So we see that in the book of Daniel that it mentions and hints at the fact that the demonic realm, the kingdom of darkness controls the earthly kingdoms, controls the earthly kingdoms. And here's the thing right now. I'm going to say this. Is that every single government, including ours, is controlled by the enemy. Do not think I'm not saying that there's more Christians on this and less Christians on that. I'm not saying that. I'm not saying without, but the systems of this world are run by the God of this world. So we have to be very careful. Now, here's the thing. I'm not saying because we could say it. We're like, well, so then I should go live in a cave somewhere.

No. The apostle Paul lived in a kingdom of paganism. Matter of fact, in the time of Paul, in the time of the Old Testament, every single time you went to the market, every piece of meat you bought was first sacrificed to a god. And it got to the point where they're like, hey, Paul, man, I really want to eat some rib-eye, dude. But they're all been sacrificed to these gods. And Paul's like, man, there ain't no other gods. There's only one god. Go ahead and just eat them meat, dude, because you know what? We can't escape from this pagan world. That is what it is, but we're going to maneuver within it. But don't for a second think that God is controlling these kingdoms. And I'm going to just read it. Deuteronomy 32, 17, you can write it down in your note. It says this. It says they sacrificed to demons that were not God, to gods they had never known, to new gods that had come recently, whom your fathers had never dreaded. So even in Deuteronomy, it says that when they were sacrificing to who they thought was God, they were sacrificing to demons. So saying is a master counterfeiter, master manipulator. He maneuvers kings and princes and kings. And he maneuvers the things of this world to enhance his kingdom, to grow his kingdom of darkness. He replicates, he duplicates, he counterfeits, because he's no creator. All he can do is imitate. All he can do is duplicate.

He can't create. And it's been like that all the way from the beginning, ever since the fall. And saying has always done this. But now let's fast forward to the time of Jesus now. So Jesus is now 30 years old. He gets baptized by John the Baptist. And the Holy Spirit leads him into the wilderness. And Jesus goes up to the wilderness. He wasn't forced to. It was insane. The Bible says that the Holy Spirit drew him out into the wilderness where he started fasting 40 days and 40 nights. OK. Matter of fact, in Matthew 4, if we want to go there, Matthew 4 starting at verse 1, this talks about this very thing. And so saying is about to have this one-on-one. If you've ever seen the movie, it's kind of old with Al Pacino and Robert De Niro Heat. And they're chasing. He's chasing Al Pacino's chasing him. And he can't every time he gets there. Robert De Niro already robbed somebody. And then finally, he gets him. And they're sitting in his coffee shop. That's a good scene. You watch it last night? I'm probably going to watch it tonight now. That's an amazing scene.

That's probably my favorite scene of the whole movie. Even the end of the shoot out at the bank is these two guys, the detective and the thief. And they're sitting there calmly having coffee. They have this face-to-face. And he says, you know, if I see you, I'm going to take you down. So here's Jesus. And he's fasting. And he has this face-to-face. And saying actually thinks he has the upper hand on Jesus. Maybe I don't know what he thought. I don't know if he thought, well, you know what? I can never come against God, but now that you've been made a human, a man, now I can do something to you. I don't know. I don't know what Satan was thinking. But he actually thought he had a chance to be face-to-face with the king. And it says he was fasting. It says Jesus was led up by the spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. And after fasting 40 days and 40 nights, he was hungry. And the tempter came to him and said, if you are the son of God, command these stones to become loaves of bread. But Jesus answered, it is written, man shall live by bread alone and by every word that comes from the mouth of God. Then the devil took him to the holy city and set him on the pinnacle of the temple

and said to him, if you are the son of God, throw yourself down to them. For it is written, he will command his angels concerning you and on their hands they shall bear you up, lest you strike your foot against the stone. If you are who you say you are, throw yourself off and show us because according to the scriptures, the angel won't even let your little toe. And Jesus says again, it is written, you shall not put the Lord your God to the test. And this is the part I wanna get to. Interesting. Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain. Hmm, weren't we talking about that? Didn't we read in Ezekiel that the Garden of Eden was in a mountain of God, and then the Tower of Babel, they try to build this high mountain. So all of a sudden, saying it's like, man, I'm running out of things. Man, this guy's hungry, he's fasting. If I'm gonna break him down, it's gonna be right now. So I'm gonna show him what he really wants. I'm gonna show him because maybe the bread, okay, you know, he didn't wanna make bread out of rocks, and maybe he didn't wanna throw himself, but for sure, I'm gonna stump him on this one. So he takes him on a high mountain, and he showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory.

Look at all that. Look at Rome, look at Babylon, look at Assyria, look at all of these kingdoms. Ain't that what you really want, Jesus? Isn't that what you really want? He showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory and said to him, all of these I will give to you if you fall down and worship me. Now, why am I reading that? Why am I talking about it? I've always said this, but I'm gonna keep saying it. I find it very interesting, sometimes of the things the Bible says and sometimes of what the Bible doesn't say. I find it interesting what Jesus says and sometimes interesting what he doesn't say. And you know what he doesn't say here? When Satan offered him all the kingdoms of the world, isn't it interesting that Satan didn't say you're a liar? He didn't say that. He didn't argue it. He did not argue with Satan saying all these kingdoms don't belong to you, they belong to me. Jesus didn't argue that. And I find that very interesting because in essence, they were kingdoms of Satan. Which leads me to believe that every single kingdom, business, church, ministry, podcast, YouTube, whatever it be, if it is not built in the name of Jesus,

truly serving Jesus by default, it goes into the kingdoms of this world. And if it's a kingdom to this world, then Satan is owner of it. So when man builds something on his own by default, the deed goes to Satan. That's crazy to me. And it's like, I'll be honest with you, man. I believe that's why half, I'm not gonna blame Satan for all of this 'cause half of it's our fault too. That's why this church struggles so much in the financially. Because Satan, this church does not submit to his kingdom. This church does not submit, these teachings don't submit. I don't submit, the leaders here don't submit to that. We are gonna submit to Jesus Christ and him alone. I'm not trying to build the worldly kingdom. I'm not trying to build house of rest for the pleasures of this world. We're not trying to do any of that. I don't care what the world thinks. I'm not trying to get grants from government. I'm not trying to get none of that garbage, none of that stuff. Because we are here to build the kingdom of God. It's the kingdom of God or nothing. And Satan says, I will give you all of these kingdoms. All you gotta do is worship me.

And Jesus said to him, be gone, Satan. For it is written, you shall worship the Lord your God and him only shall you serve. The same cannot create, he only duplicates. He cannot create, there's only one creator that's God. He's the only one that gives life. He's the only one that can speak things into existence. God is the only creator and everything God does, there's value to it. Do you understand? There's so many people in this world, in this earth, in this building, that you think there's no value to you. If there was no value to you, then why does Satan want you so bad? If there was no bad, there was truly no value. Your family has rejected you. Your level doesn't reject you. Your spouse has rejected you. Maybe your own kids have rejected you. And you start to think there's no value to you, but that is a lie. Because everything God does is for a purpose. But he will try to counterfeit that which that has value. You know, in second Thessalonians, This is really important here. Well, I mean, all scripture is important. Just like I always tell people, that's my favorite verse, and I say it every time for every verse. 2 Thessalonians, chapter 2.

Let me know when you have it. Okay, 2 Thessalonians, chapter 2, starting at verse 3. So we read everything from the fall. We read everything to the Tower of Babel. We talked about Daniel. We talked about Jesus having this confrontation with Satan. But now Jesus has died. He's resurrected, and now Paul is writing a letter to the church in Thessalonica. And he gives a warning, and I believe that Paul thought he was writing to the church in Thessalonica, but the Holy Spirit was writing to all of us. And this still pertains to us. And I believe these warnings are to us right now, right here in this building and those that are watching on their screen. And 2 Thessalonians, chapter 2, verse 3, looking at what he says, he's saying that to us. He says, "Let no one deceive you in any way. Let no one deceive you, for that day will not come until the rebellion comes first." Unless, I'm sorry, unless the rebellion comes first and the man of lawlessness is revealed. Who's the man of lawlessness? The son of destruction. So the Bible says, according to this, that somebody is going to rise up and they're going to be so powerful. And that person is going to have no law in him. No law of God in him. He's going to be utterly void of the Spirit of God. And he's going to rise up and be revealed. So he's not going to be hidden. He's not going to be some people who are like, "Oh, who's this antichrist? Who is it? Is he hiding?" Maybe he is lurking right now, but the day will come when he will show his face.

He will show his face. And he will be revealed. You know what's crazy? Is that when he reveals himself, the world's going to love him. It's creepy, right? The world is not going to love him because he comes in evil. The world's going to love him because he comes as an angel of light. He's going to come in as an infiltrator, somebody that does good. And look what he says in verse 4. He says, "Who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called God or object of worship." So he will rise up this person of lawlessness, this man of lawlessness. And he will even go against false teachers. He will go against anything that worships anything unless it worships him. So you know what that tells me? Even Christians are going to fall for him. They're like, "Look, he's against the Hindus. Oh, he's against this. He's against that." And Christians are going to love him. He hates false gods. He exalts himself against every so-called God or object of worship. So that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God. Now I don't want to go and open up this can of worms, but a lot of times we read that. We're like, "Oh yeah, he's going to set himself up in Israel." And I preached this like six months ago because the Bible says that we are the temple of God. So we're over here looking to see who's going to rise up in Israel and who's going to sit in the temple of God in Israel, but the Bible says that you are the temple of God. So in actuality, you're going to raise up this person and sit him on your temple. And we're looking to Israel. We're like, "What's happening over there the whole time he's sitting on the throne of

your heart." He takes his seat on the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God. Do you not remember that when I was still with you? I told you these things and you know what is restraining him now so that he may be revealed in his time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. So even Paul is saying even back then this spirit of the Antichrist is already at work creating systems. So many people say, "Oh, I'm not going to get the chip. I'm not going to get a chip in my hand. I'm not going to do this. They're going to track me down." Man, your social security, they can track you down already. I'm saying I'm here. He's gonna come and deceiving and deceptively and come as a counterfeiter And this is what the like like do we understand that as a church Do we understand that as believers of Jesus Christ that that we're sometimes looking for the enemy out there and the whole time He could be creeping in and here And I don't mean this building. I mean the church as a whole Christianity as a whole You know We know According to book of Revelation the mark of the beast 666 and that's a whole other thing I don't really want to go there But I find it interesting that the perfect number is a number seven. That's God's perfect number, but Satan can only be a six But nevertheless that's another actually that's another thing we always think of the mark of the beast and the foreheads But the same is a duplicator. He's not a creator That's not even an original idea from him. The Bible says that we are sealed by the Spirit of God That when we enter into the into heaven and we stand before him that he will see the seal of the Holy Ghost on us So even that Satan can't even take that and say oh look what I thought of I thought of putting the mark on everybody for it Dude, you just counterfeited everything Because God first said he's gonna seal people with the Spirit of God You're just gonna seal them with something else. That's not of God. It's completely man-made. It's completely made from from something you twist them Because you're nothing but a counterfeiter You know we read a verse in the very beginning as as we come to a close The the first verse I read it says for such a man a second Corinthians 11 13 For such men are false apostles deceitful workmen Disguising themselves as apostles of Christ and no wonder for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light So it is no surprise if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness Their end will correspond to their deeds We need to be alert church We need to be alert. We need to be vigilant and I think we really truly like need to understand the scope of this thing and Sometimes, you know, there's a thing

I'm gonna give myself away, but back in the old days If you wanted to do something on this side of town, I Would have some homeboys do something on that side of town So that way all the police and firemen go over there. It's a deception You have something happening over there. So other resources go over there so you can handle your business here and if me being An immature gangbanger in my 20s could think of that What makes us think that the master counterfeit or the master manipulator will not have the churches and Christians chasing after stuff so he can manipulate stuff here Think about it Think about it, you know, really think about as Christians as a and all these things? And then you gotta ask yourself what is really going on because if little David could do that and little Tracy California, then how much more the God of this world is gonna manipulate things and bring all of your attention on things so you're not looking and paying attention to what's happening in the background. These are the things that we have to think about. These are the things that we have to be vigilant of. And the thing is this, man, is so many people wanna play church. So many people, and I pray in the name of Jesus, that's nobody here, but if you are, if you're sitting here just playing church, going through the motions, it's a place to go, it's a thing to do, it's whatever I do on Sundays, it's you're fooling yourself and wasting your own time because you're not fooling God. I just wanna serve the Lord.

Whether you know, whether I'm pastoring a church or not pastoring a church, regardless of the fact, I made up my mind that there's nothing in my past that I want, there's nothing in my past that is worth anything, there's nothing there, everything is Christ and just Christ and searching after Him and seeking after Him. And it's like Paul says that I'm basically dead already. It is not I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And honestly, we gotta be sold out for the Lord and we gotta dive deep into His Word because if we don't, we're gonna be those that are deceived. When the son of perdition, when the son of lawlessness, when the antichrist shows himself, you know what, it's not gonna be non-Christians, that turn you in. Mark my words. It'll be Christians, self-proclaimed Christians, self-professed Christians, that'll be the ones, that'll betray you. Who betrayed Jesus, the one that was closest to Him. And what makes this thing, we're gonna be any different. And that's the sad part, right? Because the Bible says, Simmons weed and Simmons terrors, don't pull out the terrors 'cause you might pull out some of the weed. Let them both grow together and when the end is near, then we'll go and gather what's not grain and throw it into the fire.

And that sounds great and dandy, but here's the thing, we have to grow up with the wheat and the terrors together. And that puts us in a hard predicament. I don't wanna play church. I don't wanna pastor a church that plays church. I don't wanna pastor a church and have a thousand people knowing that 900 are going straight to hell. Why would I want that? Why would I want to even try to go there and not try to give life and speak life and speak His word? See, this is the only thing. When you go into a room with a black light, then you notice all the lint on yourself and you think you're super clean. You think you just look sharp and you walk under a black light and you just look like a mess 'cause all this lint's all over you. This is what this word does is it shows you where the lint is at and sometimes we don't wanna see the lint. We just wanna keep going to church on Sunday and just sing a couple of songs and maybe drop a couple of dollars in the tithe and maybe show up on a Wednesday. But in actuality, we don't wanna open this because this shows us the lint. (gentle music)

See, I didn't come into serving the Lord to play games. And I have a feeling most of you didn't either. You came because you were a part where you were broken, you were lost, you were, you hit rock bottom, there was nowhere else to go. You were maybe in your addiction or your filthiness or your evilness or your alcoholism or whatever it does, whatever it was that brought you to the place to look up to God because there was nowhere else to look. (gentle music) But even then, Satan will still come to deceive you and want to deceive you and there's only one way. You know, yesterday I put this video out, I had this whole stack, I didn't bring it. Whole stack of Hollywood money. And it looked real and I was walking around with it during grocery giveaway and I was like, "Hey, give groceries, I'm gonna give you this money." But everyone is laughing like, "Dang, look at that." It looked real until you got close. And I did a video and I slipped a real hundred dollar bill in it and I did this little video and you know, I'm video really looks real 'cause it's video, it's camera and I'm just holding it so there's something really interesting about this. I said, "But when you start to read the Word of God, "and you start to sift through the Word, "and I pulled out the real hundred dollar bill." It looked like just the rest at first,

but the moment if you go back to the video and watch it, you can see it looks different than the other ones. And this is all I'm saying, is learn to study and read the real one. So when the master manipulator, the master counterfeit tries to come and tries to, I believe that Satan wants to take over the churches, not by shutting them down, but by bringing compromised people in to teach and give a fake gospel, something that is not real. And that's why you have to use his Bible to sift through. Oh, the pastor said that, let me see. Let me take this to prayer because I want to make sure it's going according to what the Word of God says. (gentle music) You know, there is nothing like Jesus. He is the only one that can set you free. He is the only one that can change a life. You know, we were driving to Arizona last week. And as we're passing Palm Springs, there's these beautiful mountains on the left and the right. And you're just looking and you're just like, we look at ourselves and sure he knows that I'm going to say, when I look at the beauty that God makes, my God. And then you look at the cities and in a sense, and you see the high rises and the skyscrapers and you say, this is what man builds and an earthquake will come and topple the whole thing down like nothing.

And you look at these mountains that have been there for thousands of years. The beautiful things that God created and how can you not worship a holy God? How can you not serve after God say, Lord, you made that? If you can make that, what can you do with me? And Hebrew says he goes, look to Jesus. He's the founder and the perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him, he endured the cross, despising the shame and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Lord, you are the founder of our faith. No man, no pastor, no evangelist, no apostle, no YouTuber, no TV evangelist. You Lord are the author and finisher of our faith. We exalt you, we exalt no other man, Lord. There's no man that we exalt, Lord, it is only you. It is your name that makes the kingdom of darkness tremble. It is your name, Lord God, that all will bow down and confess that you are Lord. It is your name that even Satan would bow down and say that you are Lord, because there is no other king but you. You are the king of king and the Lord of lords. There is no other, there is no other name that man can be saved, but your name. You are the author and the finisher. You're the only creator. So church, keep your eyes on Jesus. Read his word, talk to him, learn to hear his voice,

walk in your identity. Jesus is a creator, Satan is the imitator. It's all a stand. And the book of Colossians 1.16 says this. It says, "For by him, "for by him all things were created." In heaven, on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities, all things were created through him and for him. We don't follow the counterfeit. We follow Jesus. He alone is worthy. He alone is a creator. He alone makes all things. There is no one else like him. And the thing is, we gotta be careful church. And keep our eyes open, keep our eyes peeled, but you're gonna see things happen. Just because something has a cross, just because something says Jesus, just because something looks Christian, be careful because he's gonna come like an angel of light. And we will never be able to discern it ever if you're not in your word, if you're not in prayer, if you're not in communion with God. You know, there's people that do these scams and they like to call, especially the elderly. And they'll say, is this anti-so-and-so?

and you fall for it because you don't know your grandson's voice. See if somebody called my dad and said hey I'm in jail you got to bail me out you got to send $2,000 right now. He knows my voice. He'd be like who are you? You're not my son. We have to learn here as voice. Jesus says my sheep hear me and they know my voice and I'm not talking about just his word. I'm talking about knowing his voice, learning his voice, knowing when he's talking to you. That way you can't be deceived because everything he's gonna tell you is gonna line up a scripture God will never tell you something different from what his word says. He will not go against his own word. He will not do it. Matter of fact the Bible says I wish I had the scripture top of my head but I don't. This is his word is above even his name. Think about that one. He's not gonna tell you something different. So church you know today I just I wanted to share my heart because I want us to not be deceived because I see so many things happening out there in the world so many things happening especially in social media that a lot of times most of our lives is like this and we're scrolling scrolling scrolling and we got I'm just telling you please please please please be careful. Please be careful because he's coming to deceive. He's coming to manipulate. He's coming to counterfeit and we need to be in our words and we need to be as close as possible to him as possible. We need to get so close to him that nothing can come in between you and him. And I'm just gonna again if anybody here if you have not given your life to Jesus Christ to be the opportunity right not here right now why are you gonna keep living with the counterfeiter why are you gonna do that for what he wants nothing but to destroy you whether it's somebody here somebody online there's no specific prayer but I want to guide you in this prayer and I'm not saying if you are already saved and you're here don't repeat the prayer you don't have to repeat it for my sake it's up you're not doing something like oh man pastor said nobody's repeating the prayer man this saying about me this is about him this is about him that's why if you ever notice I don't do the can I get an amen can I get an amen I don't do none of that garbage because you know what I'm here preaching the word of God and that's

it I don't need accolades from man because I and all I need is him we're doing this for him but if that is you the Bible says that he be confessed with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord you shall be saved and if that is you and if you truly want to give your life to the Lord or you want to repent you want to rededicate then just repeat after me and if nobody repeats it's okay man that means you're all saved but what if there's somebody online what is there somebody in their prison cell somebody in a hotel room right now so if that is you repeat after me and say Lord God I repent of all my sins I believe you died on the cross and after three days you rose in power take out my heart of stone and give me a brand new heart starting today in Jesus name amen amen amen just give the Lord a hand we're gonna open up the altar we're gonna give you some time because I want you to really reflect on this word because I don't want you to be deceived and then that I would say if you come up to pray to pray something like this pray for your family if you want to yeah that's fine but right now I want to open these altar because I want us to pray for ourselves in the sense of our mind so we don't get deceived God give us discernment pray for discernment pray for you to give wisdom to be able to recognize because the enemy is going to come stronger and stronger and stronger and you're gonna see the church start to praise certain things and certain people and all I'm saying is just be really careful spent some time with the Lord come on you Wherever you are, you'll give up. You know our love, you bring light to the darkness. You can flow, hear a storm, every heart that is broken. And great are you, love. It's your guide, and our lives, so we pour our praise.
