If you're not familiar what that is, we do a six-week series here at House of Rest, and you can earn a certificate and this beautiful lapel pin, but it just goes into a little

bit deeper into what House of Rest believes, and then to help you how to grow deeper in Christ. So we hope that you'll sign up for those or show up. They're in the PLBS class immediately following service today. What else do we have going on? We have a Wednesday night Bible study, and during that time, we do youth group. So grades seven to 12, if you have children in that age group or a family member that has children in that age group, we really encourage you to bring them out. Our children are being fed, they're being poured into, and they're developing godly relationships, which is so important. And that happens, Bible study starts at 645, and youth goes from there into their youth group. We also do young adults during that time. So if you're of the age 18 to 30-ish, come out and meet fellow believers in your age group and establish those relationships. It's super important. When times are hard and the pressure's on, you really need some like-minded people surrounding you and encouraging you to stay the course, and so this is a great time to get that. I'm good to see that your blanket didn't defeat you, and just appreciate the fact that you are here with us on this Sunday morning. I love to see ... You see the way she's going around saying hello to everybody? She takes the meet and greet very serious. Chi Chi does. Good job, girl. I just wanted to remind everybody of the food giveaway that we're having, so if you know somebody in need, please invite them out to come to the food giveaway, but I want to remind the volunteers ... And he's like, yeah, you've had to. Yeah. Yeah. So this is Felix. Oh, you're back there. Rebecca. It's the baby's birthday? Well, I still call him baby, or.

He's like, whatever. Look at him. Happy birthday, dear brother. Happy birthday to you. I know. You can tell he's very emotional, so. We are here to dedicate baby Anthony Nicolás Viela Ferdin. Almost didn't fit on the certificate here. Simba, huh? Amen. In Matthew chapter 19, verse 13 through 15, it says, children were brought to him, to Jesus, that he might lay his hands on them and pray. But the disciples rebuked the people. But Jesus says, let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for such belongs the kingdom of heaven. And Jesus laid his hands on them and went away. We know that this is biblical. The family is a divine institution ordained by God from the beginning of time. A child is a blessing from God for the parents to care, to provide, to protect, and train them in the way of the Lord. It's beneficial when parents recognize their obligations and responsibilities, and you make an effort to fulfill them. And this is why we're all standing here in front of you all as witnesses to the promises that they are making to God for baby Anthony. At House of Rest, we dedicate babies

rather than baptize them. We know that is biblical in the same way Hannah dedicated Samuel, who became one of Israel's greatest prophets. We also see that Joseph and Mary dedicated baby Jesus to the Lord according to the Jewish custom. So we see that baby dedication closely follows the biblical pattern for children. And we always wanna be in obedience to what the word of God says. So in summary, this public acknowledgement is to recognize that Anthony is a gift from God to Felix and Rebecca and the whole family. All of us, to all of us. And that Felix and Rebecca, you have a spiritual responsibility to nurture him and all your children in the Lord. That is your responsibility. And you have brought Anthony before us today to publicly dedicate him to the Lord, even though he already belongs to the Lord. What's up, baby? Yeah. So I just want to share this. About 14 years ago, my wife and I had our first son. He didn't make it, you know, so she went through the labor pains and all the torture to find out we weren't going to, you know, our son wasn't going to be with us. This was before I came to Christ, but something inside of me, you know, something spoke to my spirit, and I know now it was the Lord.

I just wasn't ready at that time, and given the way I was living, the things I was doing, you know, I was yet to become a man, learn how to be a man. So I always felt like the Lord told me, like, when it's time, you're going to have a son, but for right now, you've got a lot to learn. That was 14 years ago, and I continued to do what I did, continued to do the wrong things. I got saved in 2019 when I gave myself to the Lord. And since then, I thought it was going to be rainbows and unicorns, you know. I was wrong. You know, I continued to do things I shouldn't have done, you know. I continued to try and fight to be the better man, you know, to change my ways, and in 2024, my wife got pregnant. In that moment, the Lord spoke to me and said, here's your son. You know, and I'll be honest, part of me was like, I don't know, man, like, are you sure, God? And He's like, I told you, here's your son. And we gave, my wife gave birth to my first son, Felix. And now, two years later, I'm dedicating another son. So, you know, I see God's promises in my life, and they're being fulfilled. Funny thing is, our first son's name was Felix Nicolás. His first name is Felix, his middle name is Nicolás. So he gave me my Felix Nicolás, you know. I just want to share that, how faithful God is, and our timing isn't His timing, but His promises will come to pass. We just got to put our foot to the plow and continue to do good by God. Thank you. Amen. So I have some questions to ask. Please affirm your desires by answering each of them by saying, we will. The first question is, will both of you, mom and dad, accept your God-given responsibility? Actually, I'm going to say this to all of you, sisters too.

Will you accept your God-given responsibility to raise Anthony in a Christian home? Will you teach and disciple Anthony, rather than relying on the church or school system to impart biblical knowledge and spiritual values? And three, this is a big one, will all of you be a living example for him as he grows up on how to live as a believer in Christ? Because children will, yeah, they will learn from you. To the congregation, will you as a community of faith support Felix, Rebecca, and the kids as they raise Anthony by showing them the love of Christ? Amen. Amen. So let's all stand and we're going to pray for this family. Guys, let's stretch our hands out towards the family. So Father, we thank you right now in the name of Jesus. We lift up baby Anthony, Lord God, to prepare his steps, every step along the way. Put your angels of God around him, Lord. Give him health and life, Father, every step. Father, we thank you for your grace. We thank you for your goodness. Lord God, we just speak also over the family, Lord God, with Felix and Rebecca's parents. Father, give them the wisdom and the strength and the words, Lord God, in those moments when they need to coach him through, Lord God, through life and parent him. Father, we just speak over the entire family, Lord God, as a whole. Father, that you lead them, that you protect them, that you shelter them, that you guide them. Lord God, as a unit, Lord God, not as separate, but as a unit. Father, we thank you for everything you are getting ready to do through this family. We thank you, Lord God, for everything you've already done. And Father, we thank you, Lord God, for the wisdom as parents, Father, that you've put into them. And Father, right now, I just speak, Lord God, over Felix as the head of house.

Father, I just speak strength and wisdom and life to be the end of that spear, Lord God, Father, of this family. Give him the words, Lord God. Give him the patience. Give him the ability to lead, Father. as men ought to. Father, I thank you for the opportunity, Lord God, that this marriage and this couple, Lord God, can show the world what Christ is with the church. Father, we thank you for that right now in Jesus' name. Amen. Amen. We have a certificate here with his name didn't almost fit. We would have had to have an extended one. Baby dedication certifies that Anthony Nicolás Viela Ferdin has been dedicated to the Lord on this very special day, the 16th day of August of 2020. It's just 24, babe. We're gonna have to, she'll change it, at House of Rest Church, Modesto, California. Back to the future. Amen. Amen. You know, two weeks ago, I shared a word about the direction of this church, changing direction. And I just want to thank because many of you, many of you are helping change the direction that we are going in this church. And it's been amazing to see, you know, and I know that Tino and Mickey came up last week and shared their heart. Mickey said a whole lot more words than Tino. But I wanted to ask Sister Jennifer, if you can share just your heart on tithing and giving. Pastor, thank you for giving me the opportunity to share. This is a subject that I, man, I have such strong convictions about because of the way it played out in my own life. And so forgive me if I get emotional in this. I didn't think I was going to. When I gave my life to the Lord, I was, I lived a criminal lifestyle. So when I gave my life to the Lord, I laid it all down. And that also meant going broke overnight, which was super difficult because I like nice things. And so for years, money, money was my God. And, you know, I did a lot of, a lot of things to get the money. So when I decided to give my life to the Lord and do that, I had a lifestyle that I could no longer afford. And I was familiar with tithing as a biblical principle because early on in my life, my parents raised me at church and I knew that they did it. I didn't know how it benefited our life. I just knew that that was something that

they did. Also, when I gave my life to the Lord, I was part of a church that believed strongly in tithing and they preached it often. And so I knew that it was a biblical principle and you do your tithing in obedience to the Lord. It isn't, doesn't matter what the church does with it. It really doesn't matter how it gets spent. I know that people have experienced hurt behind mismanagement of funds and stuff like that, but that it's really none of our business. Our tithing is unto the Lord. It's personal between you and God. And I remember in those early days, sometimes I would do my budget and there wouldn't be enough money to pay the bills. And I would sit there with trembling hands like, God, I can't do this. I don't have it, Lord. It's not here. I don't have it. And I legitimately didn't have enough to cover the bills and especially not to give money away. But there was this verse that I kept going back to. And I'm going to kind of read the segment backwards because this is the verse that I would go to and I would be on my knees crying and trembling as I would get ready to make those transfers to pay my tithes. And I knew that I'm going to give this money, but I don't know where the light bill is going to come from. And I don't know how I'm going to put groceries on the table, but in obedience and in faith, because of this verse, God, I'm going to, I'm going to give to you because it says, and this is in Malachi chapter three, verse 10. And I would encourage everybody to make a note of that and to really just meditate on this because my life is a living testament that He is faithful. He is faithful. He's faithful. But it says, bring all the tithes into the storehouse that there may be food in my house and try me now on this. God gives you permission to test Him and And I did, I tested him. So, and try me on this, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessings that there will not be room enough to receive it. No, that's the verse that I really stood on. And I remember crying and being on my knees and just really testing God on that and calling him out on that. Like, Lord, you promised that you will, and I'm scared and I don't know how we're gonna make it,

but I'm gonna be obedient and I'm gonna do this. And I tell you what, he never, never, never failed me, not a single time. And sometimes it was in the 11th hour and he would show up in ways that I couldn't even imagine. And as I continued to be faithful in that tithing, he continued to open the storehouses. And it wasn't always with a financial outpouring. Sometimes my bank account stayed at the bare minimum for a long time, but it was in so many other ways, blessings to my children. So things that we needed that I didn't have to pay for because someone else blessed us with that, or my vehicle never breaking down, even though it, I don't know how it didn't, but it just didn't, right? Tires on my car lasting longer than they should. He never, ever disappointed, and we never, ever went without. But so I'm telling you, if you think you don't have the money to tithe, you are wrong. You're wrong. Give unto the Lord because you can't out give him. And he's the God of the universe and he speaks to you and you and you and the people that you don't even know. He will put you on their heart to provide your needs. And as you continue in obedience,

he will continue to increase and he will continue to provide the favor. Now, before I close, cause pastor told me not to preach, I'm gonna read the other two verses to this. And this is something for everybody to think about. So in Malachi chapter three, verse eight and nine, it says, will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed me. But you say, in what ways have I robbed you? In tithing and offerings. You are cursed with a curse for you have robbed me, even this whole nation. So I want you guys just to think about that. God is the provision and everything that you have, it's because he's allowed you to have it. And he's letting you steward it so you can show him the condition of your heart. Not that he already knows that obviously, but it's to show you the condition of your heart. And so if tithing is difficult for you, I would encourage you to really, really go to the Lord with that. And if you have any questions about the struggle or what it looked like, I could talk all day long about this because God has been so faithful in my life. And that's all, so thank you. Thank you sister, thank you so much. Like I said, I didn't know what direction

this church was gonna be at two weeks ago. And I asked the leaders, I asked the staff, and then I asked you, are we just going to hit the iceberg or we're gonna move this thing? And it's moving, it is moving. And I just wanna thank you for all of us just collectively together so we can continue to be a beacon of light in this city. We support missions here guys. So whatever you give, we always wanna give $3 toward missions. Your $3 gets split amongst those three ministries, Pastor George in India, Pastor Thomas in Nigeria, and Pastor Moses in Uganda. I believe also that the reason this church still stands is because of what we do with these ministries. Grace International has so many churches across the world, but these are the three we choose to support. Also, again, thank you for the tithing. I know that there's QR codes behind some of the seats, there's envelopes that they have to pass out if you need one, if you have one, you can bring it to the box or they'll bring it to the box for you. We can just bow our heads. Lord God, we thank you so much for this opportunity, Lord. where we will be able to withstand, where we will be able to reach more and more youth and more young adults and more marriages and more families, Lord God. Amen We have a Bible decoration that we do every single Sunday, lift up your Bible, say this is my Bible It is God's word to me My guide and my strength I bring it ready to learn I open it with faith in Jesus I live it with courage Without it I grow weak With it I grow strong Today I bring it, believe it and obey it In Jesus name, Amen Today our message is titled Do you love me with all your heart, your soul, your mind and your strength These are the words of Jesus And I believe that this is going to be very important for us to hear today And for all of you, you know I don't There is no coincidence with the Lord, you are here today, whether you are here every Sunday or this is the one you happen to come It's a holy ghost set up because you needed to hear this message And every message I preach is probably most likely a thousand percent because I needed to hear it first myself If we can open our Bibles to the Gospel of Mark chapter 12, verse 30 Mark chapter 12, verse 30 Mark chapter 12, verse 30 Let me know when you have it Actually, let's start in verse 28. Mark 12, 28.

Ready? It says, and one of the scribes came up and heard them disputing with one another. So this conversation where Jesus is in, and those people arguing, it says, and seeing that he answered them well, talking about Jesus, he answered the scribes well, asked him, which commandment is the most important of all? Obviously, they thought they were going to stump Jesus, asking him which is the most important. And Jesus answered, the most important is, hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one, and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. Think about it. This is the Lord. They're asking him a very important question of what is the most important law of all. And this is what he answers with. Now, I'm pretty sure you know this, but I think maybe I should reiterate that the Bible says that Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. So if you ask Jesus, if he walked into this building, and if you asked him the same question, he wouldn't answer you, he would say, I've already said my answer, because I don't change. If he said this is the most important law then, guess what, it's the most important thing today, and it'll be the most important tomorrow. So we want to establish that Jesus said that we have to love the Lord our God with everything, with all. It doesn't say some. It doesn't say partial. It doesn't say on Sundays only. With all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. So again, when he said this, he was actually quoting what we call the Old Testament. He was quoting that. So I want to make sure we start from a place of context. So if you go to Deuteronomy chapter 6, in the beginning sort of of the Bible, in Deuteronomy

chapter 6, we see where Jesus, why he said that, and why he referred to that. And we're going to be there for a minute. So Deuteronomy chapter 6, I hope I wrote the right chapter down. I did? Okay. Good. Okay. I'm just going to go ahead and read, because it's a lot of reading, and I'm just going to go through this. And I'll be stopping here and there in it. So the greatest commandment in Deuteronomy 6, it says, now this is the commandment and the statutes and the rules. And the Lord your God commanded me to teach you that you may do them in the land to which you are going over to possess it. So this is Moses. He's writing this. And he's saying, this is the command that I'm supposed to teach you. He's talking to the people. And it starts off that you may fear the Lord your God. And you and your son and your son's son by keeping all his statutes and his commandments, which I command you all the days of your life, and that your days may be long. So Moses is reiterating and he's saying, listen, you guys are about to step into a place where you are going to come into possession. You're going to possess. God is going to give you something. But before that, you need to know that you need to fear God. Does that mean he's like he's going to scare you? No, it's not that type of fear. It's a respect. It's a reverence because God is a king.

And he says, number one, you got to fear the Lord your God. Teach this to your sons and your grandsons and your great grandsons because I command you that they need to keep this all the days of your life. Not just some, not just Sundays. In verse three, he tells them, hear therefore, O Israel, and be careful to do them that it may go well with you and that you may multiply greatly as the Lord, the God of your fathers has promised you in a land flowing with milk and honey. So remember, he's in context, he's talking to Israel and he's telling Israel, we're about to step into the land that he gave us, but we need to get something straight first. We need to get something. He's right, we need to get an understanding because there's promises that God is going to give you, and that's when it goes into this verse four. Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. So Moses is instilling this, he's telling them, in verse seven, you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. So Moses, listen, we have to, our children need to hear us talking about the Lord, and our grandchildren need to hear us talking about the Lord, and when you sit down to eat, talk about God, and when you're walking somewhere, talk about God, and when you see the sun rising, talk about God, when you see the sun setting,

talk about God, when a child is born, we thank God, when a meal's in front of us, thank you for feeding us. You know, he's telling them something that they need to do for their families and their children, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise. Verse eight says you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You know, they took this part right here, so literal, the Jewish people would actually write scriptures really small, put it in a box, and that box, they would wrap it on their arm, they'd wrap it on their forehead, they were called phylacteries. That's a, it's a name that I've never heard outside the Bible, it was this little box with the scripture, so imagine that, like, you're like, man, Lord, I need to keep your word, so it'd be like you getting some scripture in a little box, and wearing a headband with a little box on your forehead because it's always on your mind. So that's what they would do. And they got it from here, you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, because right before you're gonna punch somebody, you're like, oh, I'm a man of God. Right before you're gonna think, oh, I'm a man of God. As a reminder, and you shall write them

on the doorpost of your house, and on your gates. That way, when you go into your house, you remember the Lord. When you leave your house, you remember the Lord. When you go out of the gate, you remember the Lord. And in verse 10, he says, and when the Lord your God brings you into the land, that he swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give you with great and good cities that you did not build. This is an awesome thing, because God is basically telling him, listen, I'm about to give you something. Never forget me, because I'm about to give you something that you didn't even build, but I'm gonna give it to you. See, that's why I always say God is a God of multiplication. You know, I would rather, I know, I know it's easier to trust in our own selves to build things. Regardless of what it is, whether it's literally building something, or building a business, or whatever it is, it's just so much easier to say, you know what, God, I got this, because I read 10,000 books on how to do this. Instead of saying, Lord, you know what, I'm just gonna keep you on my mind, because you know what, you're gonna build this, because you're gonna give me houses I didn't even build. Somebody else is going around building, going crazy, chasing this and chasing that, and the Lord is telling them, I'm just gonna give it to you. Verse 11, and houses full of all good things

that you didn't fill, and cisterns that you did not dig, and vineyards and olive trees that you did not plant, and when you eat and are full. So there's a promise, there's something that God is saying, he's saying, listen, don't forget who it is that saved you, don't forget who it is that, who I am. And you're about to step into place, you're about to step into a new chapter, you're about to step into something brand new, and don't be surprised when you start to get stuff that you didn't even work for, because you put me first. Then he says this, then take care lest you forget the Lord. All of a sudden, you're in that place and then you forget God. All of a sudden, you were here all, you didn't have money, you didn't have this, you didn't have that, you're crying out to the Lord, all of a sudden the Lord starts to bless you, and blesses you with a spouse, or a house, or a place to stay, or a job, and all of a sudden you're doing good, and you're just like, man, I don't really need God, I'm good. That's a dangerous place. to be at he says take care lest you forget the lord who brought you out of the land of egypt out of the house of slavery don't ever forget that you were in chained and entrapped by sin and by your past life and your addictions and all this stuff and the lord is like what do you think you do think you you could just operate as if you forgot where you came from who do you think took you out of that he took you out of the house of slavery it is the lord your god you shall fear him you shall

serve and by his name you shall swear you shall not go after other gods the gods of the peoples who are around you so so so at that time all the other nations they had their own gods they had uh chemosh they had artemis they had all these other gods and and the lord is saying don't forget me because you're gonna if you forget me by default you will start to worship these other gods and you know atheists will say i don't believe in god i said no you have a god it's just not the god i believe because we are you're gonna worship something the scientists will worship science you're gonna worship something and and when you don't serve the lord by default you start to serve the other gods of the other people around you in verse 15 says for the lord your god in your midst is a jealous god lest the anger of the lord your god be kindled against you and he destroy you from off the face of the earth so this is the passage where jesus quoted as we read in mark when they asked him what's the greatest commandment when he quoted this verse he was talking about this whole section we just read because he's telling the people they said jesus what is the greatest commandment he says to love the lord your god with all your heart or your soul your might and all of your strength they knew that he was referring to this saying if you forget about god it's gonna be all bad don't forget who it is that you serve don't forget who it is that took you out of slavery don't you forget who it is you know we we say that jesus is king and i'm gonna ask you this at the end of this message but just i'm just curious is jesus your king by the raising of your hands is he your king oh you messed up now because i'm gonna hold you to this message now because king the word king is lost in our modern way of living it really is you know it's more than than a jesus is king sticker on your car or a t-shirt it's more than that but what does king truly mean in a biblical context what does it really mean to say jesus is the king of kings and the lord of lords what does that really what are we saying because we better have a deep understanding because i saw a lot of hands go up including my own including my own so let's go back to the word king calling jesus king isn't a compliment you know when you go to 7-eleven they call you boss and you ain't a boss of nothing i know right i'm like getting you know my loco moco there is that all you want boss i'm like hey you call me boss that's a compliment you ain't a boss i ain't a boss we're not bosses so but when we call jesus king it's not a compliment

to him it's not like some nice thing out of courtesy hey hey what's up king it is submission he is authority it is an allegiance and obedience to the king there's no compliment in there it he just is he doesn't need our compliment he doesn't need our word to call him king he is king and a king demands submission he is authority he demands allegiance and obedience a person wouldn't say well because if you're gonna say jesus is king then you're not gonna say well let me hear what he says and see if i agree with it um yeah the king's authority was not based on anybody's approval. What the king said is what the king said. The subjects in that kingdom were not like, well, let's hear what the king has to say today. We'll see if we agree with him or not. There was no as, ifs, or buts. If the king said it, the king said it. He did not need anyone to agree with him. What he said is what he said and that is it. His authority was never based on what we think. Loyalty meant something different than just a compliment he's king. When we call Jesus king, what it should be is you are my king, my allegiance belongs to you and your commands outrank my preferences. Let me say that again. Lord, my allegiance belong to you, everything belongs to you, and your command out ranks my preference. See, that affects everything. When we get a deep understanding of what a king is, it affects everything and it makes one question, is he really our king? Because if we treat him as if, well, let's see if we like what he says, then he's not your king. You see, if he is your king, a king can summon you at any time he wants. Remember when Samuel was little? The Lord called out Samuel, Samuel. The Lord didn't care if he was asleep. He didn't care if he was tired. He didn't care if the king summons you, he summons you and you go. A king will summon you. A king will commission you. A king requires service. A king could send you somewhere you don't want to go. What did he tell Peter? He says, when you're a young man, you weren't where you wanted to, but when you're old, you will go where you don't want to go. Because Peter understood who the king was. So the question shouldn't be, see a lot of us, I trip out sometimes and I get it. I understand sometimes we got to pray on things, you know, like somebody, something, an opportunity happens, something, I got

to pray on it, you know, I'm gonna take it to the Lord and you have the discussion with the Lord and you're just like, I don't know what to do. It's be like, Lord, what do you want me to do? Either I go or I don't because you're my king. I don't know what you know. So I submit to you. The question shouldn't be, do I like what he commanded me? The question should be, did my king command it? So somebody says, hey, I need you to speak here. I need to speak there. It's not about having a debate with God. It's about saying, Lord, do I go or do I not go? It's not questioning what my preference is. It doesn't matter. Instead, it should be like, did my king command it? So when we read in the New Testament, when the believers would say that Jesus is Lord, that was a proclamation, guys. It was a proclamation. It was a statement. It was submission. You got to remember that at that time of Jesus, the Roman Emperor considered himself a God. The Roman Emperor considered himself the Lord. The Emperor himself demanded worship. So for anyone at that time to say, Jesus is my king, that was a huge proclamation. That was a statement. You know, like some of us have t-shirts that say, Lord of Lord, King of kings. I think my dad's flag says Jesus is king. You would have got killed back then because Caesar was king. So it was a statement. It was a submission. They weren't saying, oh, Jesus is really important to me, so I'm saying he's king. No, either he's king or he's not. And if he's king, then he demands complete obedience. There's no wavering about that. If somebody wavered in the allegiance to a king, they would be executed. Watch any old movie, watch any, read any old book, read history. Anytime somebody went against the king, he'd take you out, probably your whole family. It was taken serious. You didn't have days where you're like, hey king, I don't line up with you today. Well, that's going to be your last day. It didn't work like that. The king was the king was the king, and that's all that it was. So what they were saying when they were saying Jesus is king They were saying I submit He's my authority Lord you command me you summon me you commission me

You require my service and you can send me wherever you choose for me to go A lot of people raise their hands And I'm not asking i'm gonna ask at the end, but I want you to keep it in mind if you raise your hand If jesus is your king Is he someone you submit to no questions asked? Is he somebody that is your authority not only on sunday or whenever you're around other christians? Does he command you does he summon you and you said here I am? Does he commission you and call you for things if he requires your service? Do you sit there and be like I don't got time for that and can he send you anywhere? He chooses you to go? This is a question we need to ask ourselves matter of fact in In in philippians, it says every knee shall bow and confess that jesus christ is lord That word lord is master So is he our lord Is he our king is he somebody that we completely submit ourselves to or just when we're in a good mood Is he somebody we submit to is he somebody that we bow down to when we know that we can pay all the bills? Is he somebody we submit to and fall under his authority even if your marriage is falling apart Is he somebody you submit to and follow after even when you have a ministry and it seems like it's going nowhere Is he king or is he not? You see when it says every knee shall bow confess that jesus christ is lord Paul wrote that to the philippian church during the time where caesar was considered lord But yet he writes to the church and says every knee's gonna bow confess that jesus lord. That is royal language Yeah, you know when you go to court and you say your honor That's that's like courtroom talk That's like courtroom talk if you want to get less time Yeah, he wrote that letter in prison Man I said all of that in court your honor, you know I was even apologizing to him for the crime. I committed Like Like you knew yeah, like I did it to him like I sold his kid drugs, you know, I mean like

I apologize to you Your honor, you know Because that's courtroom language and and in the bible when we see that every knee shall bow confess that jesus christ is lord That's some royal language that's being used toward the lord That means complete submission complete everything There's no ands ifs or buts there's no questioning there's not wondering it's like I don't agree with that verse I agree with this verse. I don't like that verse it's interesting so many I meet so many believers nobody here because you guys practically walk on water, but I meet believers that it's weird because they come to the lord And everything lines up in their life except that one thing of the world. They still like And they'll find a loophole they'll find something in the scripture and be like no that verse doesn't mean that Because you're justifying yourself, dude Because how is it that the other 10 people? All found the one verse that lets them keep doing what they were doing in the world. They they straighten everything else out So in other words what we're doing is is you know those um, I forgot what it's called But like there's a lot of pins and you stick your face and it shows your face We do that to the bible because we want it to look like us And be like no look it i'm a good christian look You know what we're doing we're we're shaping this to fit our face Instead of us shaping ourselves to live after this Yeah fit our image If that is how we read the word of god He's not your king He is not your king So so christianity doesn't merely just invite someone to believe certain things about jesus This book doesn't invite us to just circle the the the the verses you like or that fits us It causes us to complete allegiance to Jesus as King, complete, without question. And that's where the greatest commandment becomes even stronger.

One of the scribes came up, I'm reading it all over again, and heard them disputing one another and seeing that he answered them well, asked him, which commandment is the most important of all? And Jesus answered, the most important one is hear, O Israel, the Lord our God is one, and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength. They understood kingship at that time. See here in America, we don't, we don't have kings. We don't, we understand the concept, we get it, but we don't live under it. But yet at that time, when this was said, they understood when Jesus said that you need to love the Lord your God with everything you got. You see, that was bold for Jesus to say then, and it's bold for him to say it today. What do you mean say it today? Because the Bible says that Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. So that means back then, he needs, he, you need to love the Lord your God, that's the greatest commandment, with everything of your being, everything of what you are. And he says that today also, and here in America, or in Russia, or in Japan, or wherever it is you're at, he still wants complete submission and obedience to the king. Notice what that verse says. It says the word all. And this is the part where it's like, okay, because we're good with loving the Lord, you know, with our heart, but when you say all, we're good at loving the Lord God with our soul, but all? We're good at loving the Lord God with our mind and with our strength, but all? But scripture says all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, all your strength. It's not negotiable, it is not. And you know, just practically speaking, can you imagine saying your vows to your spouse and saying, yeah, I give my life to you 95%? How do you think that'll go? Because that other five, Saturday nights, I don't know, I might not be home.

How would that go? But we do that to the Lord. It is not negotiable. All your heart, all your soul, all your mind, all your strength, not negotiable. You know, I'm going to be honest with you. This was an easy concept for me to grasp when I came to the Lord. To be allegiant, to be loyal, because of the streets I came out of, it was easy for me because I submitted myself to that cause, to the gang cause and all that, and I submitted myself to it, and I had no problem following its orders, and I had no problem of having complete dedication. I had no problem, matter of fact, I had a problem if somebody else was halfway in, halfway out. I had a problem if somebody else was playing games or doing this or doing that. It was complete allegiance to what it was that I represented in the past. There was no ands, ifs, or buts. It was death without it. So I had no issue with that when I understood that. I wasn't halfway in my allegiance. I understood what it meant. So when I came to the Lord and I read scriptures like that, I'm like, oh, so this is what you want. Oh, Lord, what I'm giving this, you want that to you. It was easy for me to understand that. And the only reason I left what I stood for, because something greater came into my life, which is Christ. Something greater, because if it wasn't for that, I would have never made that choice. Because I felt allegiance to this, I felt loyalty to this, I felt complete, complete, 100%. But then when Jesus came, I'm just like, yeah, you're better. And that's a whole other message, you know.

But I didn't have a misunderstanding about that. But I've met a lot of people that do, that don't understand loyalty, that don't understand these things. And sometimes it boggles my mind. I don't get it. I don't understand it, but that's my own thing. Because in this day and age, in the church now, in 2026, it's like we interpret to love Jesus almost emotionally, not like a king. And let me, for instance, you're like, oh, man, I love Jesus. I believe in Jesus. I worship Jesus. I go to church. I pray. But if Jesus is king, then that love carries the idea of loyalty expressed through obedience. OK, perfect example. I hope you're not this person in your family, where you're just like, when everything's good at the Christmas, you're like, oh, my god, I haven't seen you so long. I love you so much. And as soon as you leave, you're talking trash about them. Or you leave today, and you shook hands with somebody and hugged somebody here in this church. You even, God bless you. How are you doing? Oh, I'm blessed and highly favored. And the moment you walk out of here talking all kinds of mess, nobody talks about me.

It's just words, and we treat the Lord that way. Oh, I love the Lord. I love the church. I love him. I worship him. I do this, I do that, whatever. But the moment you walk away from him, that is not him being your king. That is not exactly what it meant at that time. If Jesus is king, it should carry that expressed by our love. If Jesus is king, it should carry that expressed by our love. What does love have to do with being a king? John 14, 15 says, Jesus says, if you love me, you'll follow my commandments. For those of you writing notes, ask John 14, 15. If you love me, you will follow my commandments. So what does allegiance to Jesus mean if we tell him no? What if you really want something in your life, and he says no? Do you still do it? I think we do that more than we want to admit. I think a lot of us do that more than we want to admit. We just tell him no. He's asking something of you. He's commissioning you for something. He's asking for your allegiance for something. And you're just like, no. But I'll give you everything else. And you're just like, no. But I'll give you everything else. That's uncomfortable, I know.

But that's the point. That's our modern problem. Let me tell you what our modern problem is. In American culture, it's like nearly every single authority is negotiable. Think about it. You don't like a politician? Vote him out. Don't like a company? Shop somewhere else. Don't like your job? Find another one. Don't like your church? Attend another one. I don't like this subscription? I'll cancel it. We have been culturally trained to think like consumers with choices, not subjects under a king. So we treat Jesus the same way. I mean, even in courts, we do the same thing. And I'm not saying it's wrong. Sometimes judges make a bad call because they're not God. I get it. And so you're just like, well, I'm going to appeal you. And I'm going to appeal you. And I'm going to appeal you. And I get it. No judge is God. I understand the reasoning for that. But at the same time, when we approach God that way,

we go somewhere and get a word from the Lord, and we don't like it. So we're like, yeah, I'm going to appeal it. Then he's not your king. There is no appeal. It's what he says. It's what he says. And that's it. Because in essence, what we're saying is, you know what, Jesus? I'm going to follow you as long as you align with me. I'm going to walk with you, Jesus. I'm going to serve you. I'm going to worship you. I'm going to do all these things as long as you align with me. Then he's not your king. Matter of fact, you've made yourself king. And you actually expect Him to submit to us. It doesn't work that way. That's not kingship. If Jesus is king, then why are we questioning His commands? So many people say, I'm a Christian, but what do I do in this situation? What do I do in that situation? I've been praying to the Lord and He doesn't give me an answer. And a lot of times it's stuff He's already said. I'm like, do you not read your word? What do you mean? Man, the Lord, you know, He's not answering me because I think she should be my wife. Problem is her husband. That's the only problem, God.

Come on. He's not giving me an answer because the Lord already gave an answer. You know, guys, the Lord being king, let me get this out of the way. It doesn't mean that the pastor or any spiritual leader has a king-like authority over people. Jesus is king. The king is not the pastor, it's not the church. Your denomination isn't king. No, Jesus is king. We submit to Him and Him alone. So we want to get that straight. I'm pretty sure we understand that. But I'm just saying sometimes people, maybe somebody's going on this channel and you're talking about your pastor like he's just the king of all things. I'm sorry. He's not. And actually, I'm not sorry. He's just not. Jesus is king. And what we're talking about doesn't mean that biblical kingship endorses like human tyranny. It doesn't mean like the church can do whatever it wants to do and leaders get to do anything they want to do. No, Jesus is king. Not denominations, not leaders, not pastors, churches, or governments. They're not substitutes for Him. He is king and He is king alone. So then somebody might say, you know what, David, I hear your message and all that. Man, you make Jesus sound mean. Like, come on. I like the hippie, fun-loving Jesus, the one that just loves me and throws flowers at me.

You're preaching something completely different. I'm like, really? Am I? Well, you make Jesus sound like a tyrant that just orders us around. Well, hold on a minute. In Mark, you can go there because it's important that we see this in chapter 10, verse 45. Let me know when you're there. Mark 10, 45. All right. Jesus says, for even the Son of Man, talking about Himself, came not to be served, but to serve and to give His life as a ransom for many. Why do I read that verse? Because if somebody would say, you know, Jesus, you run a hard bargain. You're just a dictator up in heaven. You just want to control my everything. You just want me to suffer. You just want me to do this. You want me to do that. But Jesus says, no, no, no, no. Don't get this thing twisted. I came to serve, not to be served, and I gave my life as a ransom. In other words, He's not, He was willing to do whatever it is that He had to do. How many times do you have people, okay, for example, for those of you who've been locked up, your shock hauler expects you to do something he won't do himself. But Jesus says, you know what? I'm the real shock hauler, and I'll give my life. Why do you think my allegiance went from this to this? Because ain't nobody else laying their life down for me, but He did. So it says here that even the Son of Man came to be served, but to serve, but to give His life as a ransom for many.

So our King exercises absolute authority while possessing absolute love for us. The one asking for everything, we got to love Him with all our heart, all our soul, all our mind, and our strength. It's not one-sided, guys. It's not this King that is mean and saying, I demand. and everything from you, it's not like that. The one that's asking you for everything is the one that gave you everything. There's an exchange that happened. Matter of fact, he already paid his part. The one asking for everything is the one who gave everything first. So Jesus isn't like, obey me, I'm a tyrant. It's, I'm your king, and I still carry the scars of the nails on my hand. And you already know how much your king loves you. And I gave everything for you. And in return, give everything to me. And we will abide forever. There's a give and a take. The first thing, how do you, so let's come down to this for the remainder of today's messages. He says, do you love me with all your heart, your soul, your mind, and your strength? So number one, do we love him with all of our heart? What does that mean? How do you love somebody with all your heart? And I wanted to just kind of look at this, and I found a couple things that I think fits

because if we wanna know, if we have to love him with our heart, our soul, our mind, our strength, how do we do that? We're loving him with all your heart. It means giving God your deepest devotion, your loyalty, and your affection, your heart. When you give somebody your heart, how many times do you say that? Do you say, you hold your child for the first time, and what comes, your heart comes out. You meet somebody special in your life, and then you say, I give you my heart, because it means you're giving them your devotion, your love, your loyalty, your affection. In the Bible, the heart is the center of your thoughts and your desires and your choices. So loving God this way means putting him above all other things and all other people in your life, with all your heart. I gotta love you more than I love my wife. I gotta love you more than I love my children. I gotta love you more than I love myself. I gotta love you more than I love anything that I love in this whole world. I gotta love you above all things, because you say that I need to love you with all of my heart. And if I would ask my wife, does that bother you that I love Jesus more? I think it'd bother you if I didn't.

Because you can only love somebody the way they truly need to be loved when you love Jesus first. So to love him with everything is everything of who you are, your thoughts, your desires, your choices. So that means, Lord God, these desires I have, don't let me love you with all of my heart. So I wanna do away with these things, Lord God. I wanna abstain from these things. Matter of fact, take that out of my heart, because I want my heart to belong to you and you alone. I wanna love you with all of my heart, with all of my being, with everything that I have, with all of my affection and my loyalty. I wanna love you with all of my heart. So it's like, okay, that's pretty much everything then, so why do you need soul, mind, and strength? How do you love? You pretty much mentioned everything that I am by loving him with all my heart. How do I love him with my soul? Well, loving God with your soul. See, your soul is like this. Your entire inner life, it's your breath. It's your core identity of who you are. It's your soul. The Bible says that David and Jonathan, that their souls were knit together. It's this inner identity of who you identify as. It's your life force.

It's your deepest desires and essentially your personhood of who you are. Oh, I go off on people because that's just who I am. Well, then you don't love him with all your soul, because to love him with all your soul is everything of who you are. So if you raised your hand earlier and said that he's your king, then that means you're loving him with all your soul, with everything of your personhood. Like if they take your soul out, you're just muscling it out. You're just a muscle. You're just a muscle. You're just a muscle. and bones and skin. You know the Bible says that when Adam, when he formed him, You're just a muscle. You're just a muscle. You're just a muscle. You're just a muscle. That's how you love God, he wasn't a man until God breathed on him. So everything of who you are, so do you love him with your soul, not only just your heart and your allegiance, but with your inner being of exactly who you are. You don't know where you end and where he starts and where he starts and where you end. Because if you, if you can play Christian on Sundays in front of us and you're something else at home, then you don't love him with all your soul. Because if you loved him with all your soul, you don't know who you are. It's like a married couple that's been married long. There's couples that have been married longer than they've lived alone. They no longer, they finish each other's sentences. They don't know who they are

without their spouse. Because they don't remember what it was like before that because their souls are intertwined together. And God is saying, you need to love me in a way where we are so intertwined that the enemy can't come and separate David from me. Because it's so intertwined, it's like a, like, like, like a, like kite string that's so knotted up you can't undo it. That's what you want to be with the Lord. Because if the enemy comes and tries to do that to you, he's gonna give up because you're just a ball of yarn with Jesus. He can't separate you. Why? Because you love him with all your soul. It's your, your, your, your essence, your inner essence of loving God with, with like this invisible deep part of who you are beyond outward appearance, beyond how people see you. It's your love in the Lord God when nobody else is around. It's who you are. It's, it's, it's, there's no other way to look at it. It's your, your, your, even your personal plans, even your emotional longings, your personal will to match God's will. Everything of who you are that you don't even, there's, there's never a time where you want to separate from him. You don't want to make decisions without him. You want him to decide in every single thing you say and everything you do because you love him with all of your soul. You offer your daily breath to him. Your, your physical existence is an act of devotion in the way, the fact that you're alive today. Every single thing, Lord, I love you with all of my heart and all of my soul because every breath that I take is because of you, Lord God. I want nothing else but what you want for me, Lord. I want to love you with all of my soul. I don't want my soul belonging to you and part to the enemy or part to this or part to that. Lord God, I want everything I do, every breath to be ingrained in you and that sounds good and dandy until somebody want to, wants to make you act out of pocket. So do you love him with all your soul or not? It's like, okay, I get it, David. I get it. Those are very spiritual things, heart and soul, but how do I love him with my mind? How can I love the Lord of God when I get the soul thing that's all emotional and all that and how do I love him with my mind? Well, loving God with your mind means engaging in your intellect and your thoughts and your reasoning to know and

understand and honor God. We want to worship God with our emotions, but we actually think we're smarter than God, so we want to do everything else intellectually on our own. I want to honor God in the way I think. I want to honor God in my ideas that the Lord gives me, Lord God. Whatever it may be, whether it's for finances or business or family or marriage or whatever it is, Lord God, I can't outsmart you, Lord God. I don't want to outsmart you. Matter of fact, I want to love you with my mind. Everything that is my, that's why the Bible says bring every thought and subjection in Jesus Christ. Everything that goes through this mind because this mind bows down to you, Lord God, because I want to love you with my mind because a lot of times we'll separate faith from intellect. When I read, I want to be able to read and understand and meditate on the scripture using my mind and loving him with my mind, evaluating truth as I'm reading scripture and letting God's wisdom shape. my worldview on how I see the world. I'm not going to read the word of God and then turn on Fox or CNN or anything else and not give God that intellect. I wanna just start trying to understand things with my own intellect. It's like then you're not loving God with all of your mind. You can have your favorite news channels, your favorite podcasters, your favorite whatever, but here's the thing, right? Is that ultimately all these things have to run through the Lord because we need to love him with all of our mind. We need to pursue truth through Christ, learning about God's character and nature and teachings through reading and studying scripture. I wanna use my mind.

I wanna understand who you are, Lord. I wanna understand who you are with me and who I am with you. So I'm gonna use my mind to learn this. We got so many people learning politics and learning this and learning that, but they're not learning the word. And I'm not saying those things, we should know what's going on, but not if it's going to overtake something that is meant for God. We need to have an intentional focus on his word, directing our thoughts toward the Lord and meditating on his word instead of any other way around. We need to just, with our mind, I'm gonna love the Lord of God with all my mind, so I'm gonna reject false ideas. I'm gonna reject cultural values that don't line up with what the word of God says that contradict God's truth because somebody will come along and say, well, that doesn't make sense. The Bible does this and this and that, and you're just, and then you start to entertain those thoughts. That's fine, you wanna do that, but don't say he's your king. Or using your mind and say, Lord, I'm gonna bring everyday decisions

such as my work or my finances or my interactions under the guidance of Christ-centered perspective. Lord, I have this idea for this, I have an idea for that, I have whatever it is, your job or your business or whatever, and it's like you're not running it through the Lord because you think you know how to do better or somebody told you something better, then you're not loving him with all your mind. Because you know what it is a lot of times, is we don't wanna ask him because we know the answer. Loving with all your heart, all your soul, your mind, and how do I love him with all my strength? Well, loving God with all your strength means giving him your physical energy, your daily actions. This moves from loving him from internally, all the other stuff that's internal inside to the outside, for it to show an active outward way of living. I wrote a couple notes, I didn't wanna forget this because I realized too is that the direction that my health was going a year ago. So I know the Lord told me, I need you to preach the gospel to the nations. I need you to pastor other pastors. I'm like, okay, cool, I'm all for it, Lord God, I can do it. And then he says, but the way you're going, you're not gonna be able to fulfill my calling on your life.

What do you mean? Because you're not loving me with all your strength. What do you mean, God, I love you with everything. Oh yeah, okay, David, maybe you do love me with all your heart, all your soul, your mind, but you know what, you're not loving me with your physicality, with your strength because you are actually going against my calling on your life. And that's hard to hear because we don't wanna hear that because we all wanna get burritos after church. We love calling out all the sins except gluttony. Because we're all guilty, most of us. You wanna love him with all your strength, with all your physical might, with everything that you are. It's loving him with everything, with our heart, our soul, our mind, and our strength, all the way around, everything, not just sometimes, not just some days, not just this and not just that. It's loving him with everything. You know, like what I said in the beginning when I write these sermons, a lot of times, many times, every time. And it's to me first. Because before I ask you, is he your king? Raise your hand. The Lord asked me. David, before you write this message, am I your king? Yeah. Let's see.

Loving him with all your strength is giving your time. You're dedicating your daily schedule, dedicating your routine to honor him, your talents, your natural skills, your job performance, your creativity, serving others, giving God glory, managing your money and your property and your material things, and doing all those things not only in a good way, but ethically. Because we need to give it to him, not be manipulative in anything that we do. Because everything we do is going to be, when we do something that hurts others, because this is a whole other sermon, but Jesus says, likewise, love the Lord your God with all your heart, your soul, your mind, and your strength. Likewise, love your neighbor. I'm going to wrap this up. Guys, loving the Lord your God with your heart, your soul, your mind, and your strength, if this is the greatest commandment, and we know it is because Jesus said it, think about this. If that is the greatest commandment, then Satan doesn't have to make you a drug addict. Satan doesn't have to make you an alcoholic, doesn't have to make you a cheater, doesn't have to make you a witch or a warlock. Satan doesn't even have to make you hate God. All he has to do is make you love everything else above him a little more. All he has to do, all the enemy has to do,

this is the greatest commandment. They ask Jesus, what is the greatest commandment? To love me with all your heart, your soul, your mind, and your strength. Satan doesn't even have to go all the way around and make you this horrible person. All he has to do is make you love everything else a little more than him. That's it. Jesus says, he who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is not fit for the kingdom of God. This aligns up with exactly what we're talking about. Because he demands complete allegiance, loyalty to a king. What does a king expect? Complete loyalty. You know, I want to share something with you guys, something you need to know before we go even further in this church. When I gave my life to the Lord February 25, 2004, and I'm sitting in a solitary confinement cell, you know the story. I'm not going to reiterate it. At that point in my life, I gave him everything. I gave him everything. I gave it all to him. I still give it all to him. I still give it all to him. Sometimes I don't know how to express it or how to say it. Because I think that if you guys knew the way I think about the things of God and things,

you guys would think I was weird. So I try to tone it down, because I don't want you to call me a Jesus freak. But the fact is, I'm a Jesus freak. I love him, and I love him alone. And my allegiance is to him. I bow my knee to him. I want nothing else but him. I even told him, Lord, I don't want a wife unless you give her to me. I don't want nothing unless you give it to me. I don't want nothing. I don't want it unless you approve of it. I don't want to say it unless you tell me to say it. I don't want to follow it unless you give me and guide my steps to it. I don't want nothing unless it's from you, God. Because I give you my allegiance. I give you my everything. I want to follow this verse to the best of my ability, because I want to love you with all my heart, all my soul, all my strength, and all my might, Lord God. With my mind, Lord God, I want to love you with everything. And you know what? And because of that, many times, it's been hard with me to sit with other pastors. It's been hard. It's hard to sit with other ministry leaders and other churches. When I decided to follow the Lord, I decided to follow Him unashamedly, complete uninhibited, because I'm just like, God, either I serve you completely or I don't.

So when I go to places and I hear of, this is how you succeed in ministry, this is how you grow this, this is how you do that, this is all of these things. I'm sorry. I zone out. I ain't hearing it. And I'm not trying to make myself sound any better or nothing like that. I'm just telling you, this is the way I'm wired. Everything I'm going to do is going to be unto the Lord and that's it, because I gave my life to Him and I don't want nothing unless He gives it to me. Because David Rocha died in that cell that day. So from that moment on, everything I do is for Him and to further His kingdom. Do I want a comfortable life? Yes, if He gives it. Do I want financial stability? Sure, if He gives it. Do I want ministry? Yeah, if He gives it, but if He doesn't, I don't want it. I don't want to force myself into it. Either He's going to drop it on my lap or He's not, because I want to live in a way where I'm trusting God and following after God. And maybe you need to know that, because maybe you're sitting here thinking, this is going to be a great megachurch in Modesto, this and this and this, and maybe it's not. And if that's what you're searching for, that's what you're looking for, maybe you're in the wrong place. If you want to hear messages that are going to, just five ways to have a better life, then this ain't the place where you're going to hear it, because here, it's a man that just, God broke down and God just completely broke me down and built me back up, and I don't want nothing else unless it's from Him. That's all that matters to me. Nothing matters. I bow to my King, and that's it. And I'm not saying it to be cliche. When Christianity becomes illegal, I will still proclaim His name. It won't stop. It'll never stop. I might not be the, I know I'm not the most eloquent preacher, I know I'm not the friendliest person, I don't have this nice greeter smile, I get that, I know that. I get awkward, you know, sometimes you want to have a serious conversation with me, I get really awkward and I clam up because I feel like I don't want to give wrong counsel, and I get nervous because I don't want to lead you in the wrong way, and all of these things, I can sit here and tell you all of my faults and all this and that, but one thing I will tell you is that I am here to serve God, there is no other agenda, I'm not here to get rich, I'm not here to have the biggest church, I'm not here for the biggest ministry in Modesto, we are here because I've sold myself to Him, I want to love Him with all my heart, my soul,

my strength, and my mind with every single thing, and what I'm saying is this, is who else is with me? Who else here says, He's my King, He's my King, He's my King, He's my King, I submit myself to Him, He is my authority, I don't go left, I don't go right unless He tells me so. I don't care what the next church is doing, we just need to follow our orders, don't worry about the person on the left or the right of you, do what it is that God is calling you to do and hurry up and just do it, because if He's your King, then we submit all to Him. If there's anyone here that Satan is your King, but you want to transfer your citizenship into the Kingdom of God, what better day than to do it today, right here, right now, today's the day of salvation, tomorrow's not promised, right now, I want you to come up, if you want to give your life to the Lord, man, it is the greatest thing that you will ever do, and say, I want to love you with all my heart, all my soul, all my mind, I'm on my strength, Lord God, every time I live my life for me, I destroy it, Lord God, I want to do something brand new, I want you to come up right now, come on, tomorrow, tomorrow's not promised. Don't listen to the enemy, don't listen to the enemy, somebody has to rededicate your life, come on, what are you waiting for? Right now, right now, right now, doesn't Doesn't matter who's watching, doesn't matter who's around, doesn't matter what you're going to do after church, doesn't matter. Doesn't matter what was in your thoughts and in your mind when you walked into this place. If that is you, I want you to repeat after me. And say, Lord God, I repent of all my sins. I believe you died on the cross. And after three days you rose again. Take out my heart of stone. And give me a brand new heart. A heart that loves you. With everything. From this moment on. los lados del norte sobre las alturas de las nubes subiré y seré semejante al altísimo que soberbia que orgullo tuvo este ángel que dios creo verdad yo quiero decirte algo que los ángeles fueron creados por dios y ellos no pueden crear a naiden ni a nada por eso satanás es un inútil es un desgraciado que solamente imita las cosas de dios y quiere ser como dios pero jamás será como nuestro dios amén o sea en este mundo vemos también que muchas personas que piensan como lucifer ellos son aptos autos suficientes y que no necesitan ayuda se creen tanto autos suficientes que piensa que ellos lo pueden hacer todo bueno el hombre la mujer que dios se ha creado tiene cierta capacidad de hacer ciertas cosas amén y tiene la inteligencia también y la sabiduría pero no podemos decir que somos autos suficientes necesitamos la ayuda de dios en nuestra vida todos los días amén estas tales personas que se creen autos suficientes están muy equivocadas porque necesitamos siempre la ayuda de dios a todo tiempo aún el aire que está respirando ahorita tú necesitas la ayuda de dios para que tus pulmones y tu sistema de tu cuerpo funcione para que pueda ser que alimentado por ese aire amén el orgullo es peligroso porque muchas veces no se ve por fuera y tal vez podemos vestirnos bien levantar nuestras manos cantar alabanzas leer la biblia y aún así tener un corazón lleno de orgullo lleno de orgullo miren lo que dice proverbios capítulo 18 versículo 12 dice antes del quebrantamiento se eleva el corazón del hombre y antes de la honra es el abatamiento quiero decirles que dios resiste a los soberbios y da gracia a los humildes puede haber presidentes puede haber líderes que según se sienten tan poderosos que nadie los puede tocar pero sabes que todos esos reyes esos reyes todos esos presidentes todos esos líderes dios los pone y los quita él tiene el poder para poner y quitar para hacer y deshacer amén él tiene el poder

si ustedes no les gusta el presidente trump ni modos tenemos que orar por él tenemos que despedirle a dios que le ayude a hacer las decisiones correctas para nuestra nación en la que vivimos amén si no nos gusta el presidente de méxico mexicanos oren por él o por ella lo que sea oren por ese presidenta para que haya decisiones correctas amén porque quiero decirles cuando un hombre y una mujer llegan a cierto nivel de altura de poder a veces se ponen soberbios y a veces se ponen orgullosos piensan que ellos logran todo cuando verdaderamente es las personas que están en el gobierno en el senado en esos lugares todos nosotros tenemos que tener mucho cuidado de no pensar en el yo yo yo a ver de la que está a tu lado no pienses en el yo miren todos nosotros tenemos que tener mucho cuidado de no pensar en el yo porque el único gran yo Hoy es Dios, amen. El orgullo dice, yo puedo solo. El orgullo dice, yo no necesito que nadie me diga nada. El orgullo dice, yo tengo la razón. El orgullo dice, yo sé más que los demás. No soy menso. Bueno, lo voy a admitir, a veces mi esposa me dice unas cosas y le digo yo, yo no soy menso, no soy menso, pero no es de que no soy menso, sino que ella sabe lo que está haciendo, ¿ven? El orgullo dice, yo sé más que los demás, no soy menso. El orgullo dice, yo no necesito pedir perdón. ¿Para qué? Todos esos Dios significa orgullo. Y tú en algún tiempo dices, yo trabajo, yo traigo el dinero a la casa, o yo soy el que cuido a los hijos, o yo soy el que hago esto, yo soy el que fue al colegio y obtuve el diploma, todas esas cosas. ¿Sabes qué? Cálmate yo. Cálmate. Porque primeramente tienes que mirar al cielo y decirle, Dios, eres tú el que hiciste las cosas en mí.

Por eso tengo lo que tengo. Por eso soy lo que soy. Por eso tengo lo para dar lo que tengo. Amén. Hermanos, el que se cree ser algo, dice la escritura, siendo nada, se engaña a sí mismo. La palabra de Dios nos enseña algo diferente. Proverbios capítulo 16 versículo 5 dice, la abominación es a Dios todo altivo de corazón. Ciertamente no quedará sin castigo. Proverbios capítulo 16 versículo 18 dice, antes del quebrantamiento es la soberbia y antes de la caída la altivez de espíritu. Nosotros tenemos que cacharnos en el momento que nosotros sientamos que somos suficientes. En el momento que nosotros sientamos que hemos logrado algo sin la ayuda de nadie o de nada. Tenemos que cacharnos. Yo le digo cacharnos, pero tenemos que ¿qué? ¿Cómo se dice la palabra correcta? Ayúdenme. Ayúdenme.

Sí, es así. Sí, tenemos que cacharnos. We have to catch ourselves. O tenemos que darnos cuenta, sí. Estábamos hablando este viernes con los hombres. Y algo que debemos tener en mente es el que el orgullo nos promete grandeza pero termina produciendo caída y consecuencia a nuestra vida. El orgullo quiere subir pero Dios nos enseña que el camino

de la verdadera grandeza comienza con la humildad. Jesús dijo en Mateo capítulo 23 versículo 11 al 12 dice El que es el mayor de ustedes sea su siervo porque el que se enaltece será humillado y el que se humilla será que enaltecido. So es mejor que humillarnos para que Dios nos enaltezca cuando es tiempo. ¿Amén? Cuando es tiempo. Hermano Adán, los que hacen las albercas ¿De dónde comienzan? ¿De arriba para abajo o de abajo para arriba? ¿De dónde? De abajo para arriba. ¿Verdad? como hijos de Dios. Siempre cuando logramos algo le damos gracias a Dios. Amén. Amén. Yo no sé tú, pero yo a veces y ustedes, yo creo muchos de ustedes también a veces doblamos rodilla. Sea donde sea doblamos rodilla le damos gracias a Dios. Gracias porque me contestaste esta oración. Gracias porque me sacaste de esta. Gracias mi Dios. Porque me ayudaste con este problema. Bueno. La humildad es lo que le agrada a Dios cuando reconocemos que Dios nos ayudó. Eso se llama humildad. Ser humildes delante de Dios. El orgullo toma lo que Dios nos dio y empieza a creer que lo consiguió sin Dios.

Nuestras fuerzas vienen de quién, Luis? De Dios. Nuestros dones vienen de quién, Julie? ¿De quién? De Dios, ¿amén? Nuestra familia que tenemos, Luis, Julie, ¿de quién viene? De Dios, ¿amén? De Dios. Es una bendición grande poder tener una familia y aunque muchos no tienen familia porque hay huérfanos, ¿verdad? Hay personas que sus padres los abandonaron, personas que no tienen a alguien como padre, figura como padre para que les ayude. Pero, ¿sabes? Dios dijo y dice que Él nos levantará y será nuestro padre, ¿amén? Él dice, Él es nuestro padre.

Él nunca nos abandonará, nunca nos dejará, nunca nos dañará, ¿verdad? Nunca nos va a fallar. Él siempre nos va a ayudar, ¿amén? Y aunque no nos ayude, Él siempre va a estar con nosotros. Vamos ahí, Santiago capítulo 1. Santiago capítulo 1, dice lo siguiente. Versículo 26. ¿Qué dice Santiago capítulo 1 versículo 26? Dice, si alguno se cree religioso entre ustedes y no refrena su lengua, sino que engaña su corazón, la religión de tal es vana. ¿Qué dice el capítulo 27? La religión pura y sin mácula delante de Dios no es la doctrina, no es la creencia. ¿Qué dice aquí? Dice es, ¿qué dice? Visitar a los huérfanos y a las viudas en sus tribulaciones y guardarse sin mancha del mundo. ¿Esa es la verdadera religión que le agrada a Dios? ¿No hay otra religión? Por eso decimos que ninguna religión te puede cambiar. Ninguna religión te puede salvar. Ninguna religión vale algo en este mundo. Lo que vale es nuestra relación con Dios. ¿Amén? Vivir nuestra vida humildemente delante de Dios, estando en paz con todos los hombres, porque esa es la voluntad de Dios de que nosotros estemos en paz con unos de los otros. ¿Amén? El último punto es de Jesús. Nuestro Señor y Salvador Jesús fue el que mostró el ejemplo perfecto de humildad. Vayan conmigo a Filipenses capítulo 2 y ahorita vamos a ir a esa escritura, pero vayan ahí conmigo ahorita. Capítulo 2, vamos a leer versículo 1 en adelante. No lo voy a leer ahorita, pero les voy a decir algo. Si tú como creyente, como hijo de Dios, quieres aprender a ser humilde, lee esta escritura. Jesús nos da el perfecto ejemplo a seguir. Ahora, Jesús tenía toda autoridad. Él nunca dejó de ser Dios.

De que piensan en alguien primero que ustedes. ¿Cuántos de ustedes? No muchos, ¿verdad? No muchos. Dice, nada hagan por contienda o por vanagloria, antes bien con humildad. Estimando cada uno a los demás como superiores a él mismo. Si Dios te usa más que a mí, gloria a Dios. ¿Amén? Gloria a Dios. Yo no soy nada. Solamente soy alguien porque Cristo está en mí. ¿Amén? Dice, no mirando cada uno por lo suyo propio, sino cada cual también por lo de los otros. Haga pues en ustedes este sentir que hubo también en Cristo Jesús. El cual siendo en forma de Dios, no estimó el ser igual a Dios como cosa a que aferrarse. Él no dejó de ser Dios. Él es Dios. ¿Amén? Él es Dios, dice. Sino que se despojó a sí mismo tomando forma de ¿qué? De siervo.
