See Matt there? He's giving you guys a shout out. Amen. All right. We believe that Bible... Why do I keep saying Bible? Baby dedication is very, very, very important. Some of you, I've asked you to let's grow this church. And you've taken it literally. All kinds of pregnant people in this church. Congratulations, actually, to Naomi and Daniel. They just had a child yesterday. They named that baby Samuel. So I call him Prophet Samuel. But we feel it's important to dedicate our babies. What have you been feeding them? Spinach? And is Angel missing? Is he busy? He's coming? All right. We feel that it's important. And not only that, Pastor Moses, they specifically asked for you to bless this baby once we do dedication so you can come up. So with my first two girls, my wife actually like almost died during labor. What's the word? Giving birth. Yeah, during delivery. She almost died.
So we were afraid to even try again. But we really like wanted our boy. And it was like bugging us so bad. And we were like, oh, my God. And the day he came, we asked him. And as he was praying for my wife, I could feel the presence of God literally walk up behind him as if somebody was there. Like I could reach out and touch it. It was so powerful. And we also prayed for no complications during the pregnancy. But, yeah, she ended up giving birth. And we were like, oh, my God. And we were like, oh, my God. And we were like, oh, my God. And we were like, oh, my God. And we were like, oh, my God. And we were like, oh, my God. And we were like, oh, my God. And she was really praying. She really was. So we were hoping we would go for another thing. Yes. Chocolate? Baby Joseph Anthony Rodriguez Jr. Hey, Junior. In Matthew 19, 13, 15, it says, Then children were brought to him that he might lay his hands on them and pray, and the disciples rebuked the people. But Jesus said, Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.
And he laid his hands on them and went away. Family is a divine institution ordained by God from the beginning of time. And a child is a blessing from God for the parents that care, by, protect, and train them in the way of the Lord. It is beneficial when parents recognize their obligations and responsibilities and make an effort to fulfill them. As witnesses to the promise they're making to God for Joseph Anthony Rodriguez Jr., here at House of Rest, we dedicate children rather than baptize them. We see that this is biblical. In the same way that Hannah dedicated who was gonna be the prophet Samuel, he became one of Israel's greatest prophets. And Joseph and Mary themselves dedicated baby Jesus to the Lord according to Jewish custom. So baby dedication closely follows the biblical pattern for children. In summary, this public acknowledgement is to recognize that Joseph Jr. is a gift from God, and that Joseph and Diana have a spiritual responsibility to nurture them in Christ. Joseph, Diana, you have brought Joseph Jr. before us today to publicly dedicate him to the Lord. So I have some questions to ask of both of you. And sister, please affirm your desires by answering each of them by saying we will. Will you accept your God-given responsibility to raise Joseph Jr. in a Christian home? Will you teach and disciple Joseph Jr.
rather than relying on the church or the school system to impart biblical knowledge and spiritual values to him? Will you be a living example for him as he grows up on how to live as a believer in Christ? And to the congregation, will you as a community of faith, as a family, extended family of theirs, will you support Joseph and Diana as they raise Joseph Jr. by showing them the love of Christ? Amen. I would like to have Pastor Moses bless Joseph Jr. Thank you very much. We're gonna pray for Jr. Joseph Jr. Rodriguez. Let's pray, church. We'll stretch your hand over this wonderful baby. Heavenly Father, I want to thank you for this wonderful morning. I join together with the leadership of this church and together with this congregation. And as priest over your people in this generation, I want to thank you for Joseph Jr. Rodriguez. We thank you for the gift you've given to us as the church, a gift you've given to us as a family of Joseph Rodriguez, a gift you've given to the nation and to this generation through the person of Joseph Rodriguez Jr. And so Lord, we dedicate him into your hands. Just like you said in the book of Numbers, you instructed Moses and to tell Aaron and his sons that this is how you bless the children of Israel. And you said to them that the Lord bless you and keep you.
The Lord causes countenance shine upon you and give you peace. And so shall you put my name upon the children of Israel. And so this morning, I put your name upon Joseph Jr. Rodriguez. I rebuke every powers of darkness. I declare they have no right over this child. I pray that your hand will be upon him by day and by night. You'll keep him and he'll grow in you, in the fear of you, in the fear of you, just like how just grew in stature and grew in favor with men and with God. I pray that the same blessing will be upon Joseph Jr. Rodriguez. I pray that this child will never lack anything good. And this child will bring joy to his family, to his parents, to the church and to the generation. And so today, Joseph Jr. Rodriguez, I set you apart and I dedicate you to the hands of the Lord. And I declare that from today, the presence of God and the name of the Lord keeps you by day and night, goes before you and behind you as you grow, that you live to become a vessel of honor in Jesus name. So we bless you. So I bless you today. Amen. Amen. May the blessing of God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit be upon you now
and henceforth in Jesus name. So we have this certificate. This is certifies that Joseph Anthony Rodriguez Jr. has been dedicated to the Lord on this very special day, the 29th day. of March of the year 2026 at House of Rest Church Modesto, California. God bless you. Amen. Pastor Mosey, you can stay up here. You can stay here. Oh, actually, no, not yet. Forgot. God bless you, and welcome to House of Rest. You're a good, good father. It's who you are. It's who you are. It's who you are when I'm loved by you. It's who I am. It's who I am. It's who I am. It's who I am. It's who I am. Oh, I've seen many searching for answers, far and wide. But I know we're all searching for answers. Only you provide, because you know just what we need before we say a word. You're a good, good father. It's who you are. It's who you are. It's who you are when I'm loved by you. It's who I am. It's who I am. It's who I am. You are perfect in all of your ways. It's who I am. Oh, it's love's undeniable light. I can hardly sleep. Peace, unexplainable light. I can hardly think as you call. Deeper still into call. Deeper still as you call. Deeper still into love. Yeah, I love your perfect love. It's who you are. It's who you are. It's who you are and I'm loved by you. It's who I am. It's who I am. It's who I am. You're a good, good fall. It's who you are. It's who you are. It's who you are and I'm loved by you. It's who I am. It's who I am. It's who I am. You're a good, good fall. It's who you are. It's who you are. It's who you are and I'm loved by you. It's who I am. It's who I am. It's who I am. You are perfect in all of your ways. You are perfect in all of your ways. You are perfect in all of your ways to us. Yes, you are. You are perfect in all of your ways. You are perfect in all of your ways. You are perfect in all of your ways to us. Hallelujah. Thank you, Lord. Amen. Let's give the Lord a hand. Before I call up Pastor Moses to share, who has your Bible? We're going to lift our Bibles up. And this is something that we just started doing this a few weeks ago, Pastor.
And hold your Bible up. You ready? This is my Bible. It is God's word to me. My guide and my strength. I bring it ready to learn. I open it with faith in Jesus. I live it with courage. Without it I grow weak. With it I grow strong. Today I bring it, believe it, and obey it. In Jesus' name. Amen. Amen. All right. We know in America people weren't bringing their Bibles anymore. So we said, let's be a church that brings their Bibles to church. Amen. So before I call up Pastor Moses, I just want to give you a quick introduction for those of you that don't know anything about him. I remember going to a grace international conference in Oceanside. There was many people from many nations there. And I remember seeing you. And the Lord just like that beam, you know, where I just there was something about you. And I remember during a break in the conference, I went
straight to you. And I said, hello, my name is Pastor David. I'm at House of Rest Church in Modesto. And he had no idea where Modesto was at. And I remember I invited you to lunch right then and there. And that's where we went, broke bread, and started a great friendship. And ever since then, many years ago, I lost count how many years you've been coming. And so I just want you, I just want to introduce everyone else to Pastor Moses. And you ready? Come on up. God bless. Thank you. Thank you, Pastor David and Sharon. And thank you, House of Rest Church, for welcoming me. Good morning. Praise the Lord. It's a great honor to be here this morning and to meet all of you. I've been at House of Rest many times. I have seen this ministry grow step by step from one level to another level. So I've been part of this journey. And every year I look forward to a moment when I can come back and be with you. Bring a word of encouragement, but also become an eyewitness to what God is doing in this place. Amen.
I bring you greetings from Uganda, greetings from my family, greetings from the churches that I oversee. I oversee 138 churches, great churches in the country. They send you their love and greetings. Matter of fact, Uganda is about 11 hours ahead of us. So as we are talking right now, they've already gone to bed. But they were in church, and I was talking to them after church, and they said they prayed for us. So I know that we are covered. I want to thank Pastor David and Sharon for standing. Standing to do the work that the Lord has called you to do in this place. Standing for ministry. One year, two years, five years, ten years is never a joke. I've been in ministry all my life. I gave my life to Christ at the age of 15. And I know what it means to lead a church. I know what it means to stand and lead God's people and serve God's people. It's a journey that is full of challenges and sweet moments. But I want to thank you for standing. And I want to thank all of you leaders who are standing with Pastor David and Sharon. Thank you in different departments and capacities for standing with them. I want to tell you people of Modesto House of Worship Church, you have the best pastors in this planet. This is my first church speaking since I came. I just flew into the country on Thursday afternoon, and this is my first stop, first sermon to preach in America. So this is a great honor, amen. I want to thank you for the partnership that you have with us back in Uganda.
We treasure the relationship, we treasure the partnership that we have together. We have a lot going out there. We run an orphanage of over 700 kids that we take care of. We have a vocational school where we are helping widows, single moms, needy youth, giving them skills in sewing, in beauty salon, in mechanics, motorcycle mechanics, motor vehicle mechanics. We are giving them skills in welding, giving them skills in planning. So it's a journey. We are doing a lot there, but this is only possible because of the support and the partnership we have with you. And so I want to say thank you for always reaching out to us and standing with us. You may not know how much the impact you are making, but I want to tell you that the Ministry of House of Rest is beyond these walls. You are touching many lives around the globe through your missions fund. Every dollar you give goes a long way in impacting lives and changing destinies. We've seen many lives being changed through our ministry in Uganda, and it's because you stand with us. Gloria, when I come over here, you rise a special offering to stand with us, and whenever I go back, we are able to do much for the kingdom of God. Amen. So thank you for what you are doing, and I encourage you, let's come to pattern together, and together we'll make a significant difference, and you are living the Lord is in vain. Jesus promised that in this world, you'll get a hundredfold, but even in heaven, you'll get your reward. So thank you again for what you are doing in the kingdom of God. We are proud of you, and we treasure our partnership together. Amen. Today is a very special Sunday. A matter of fact, I never travel around this time of the year. You know, today is Palm Sunday according to the church calendar. Every pastor wants to be in their church as they prepare people for the Holy Week, but
today, this year, it is unique. God told me, God allowed me to be here, and I'm beginning the Holy Week in Modesto, and I'm happy for Pastor David and Sharon that they can give me their pulpit on Palm Sunday to speak the word of God, and next Sunday, I'll be preaching in East at celebration. This is uncommon. I've never preached East in another church except our main church in Kasese and Palm Sunday, but this is God's ordained plan. It's not by wish. It's God's plan, and today, I have a word that God has given me to share with you, and I strongly believe that your life will not be the same at the end of this service. Amen. I want us to stand together at the book of Matthew chapter 21, and in the interest of time, I'm going to read only three verses. We can do the other at our own time back home, but let me do three verses. The Bible says, because everybody has the Bible, is that it? Okay. Follow me in your Bible. Now, when they drew near to Jerusalem and came to Bethphage and to the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples saying to them, I don't know whether it is David and Sharon or Pastor David and Pastor Moses. So he sent two disciples and he's saying to them, go into the village in front of you and immediately you will find a donkey tied and a colt with her and tie them and bring them to me. If anyone says anything to you, you shall say the Lord needs them and he will send them at once. Let us pray. Heavenly Father, thank you for this opportunity to be here to share your word. I pray that your word will come with the simplicity, clarity, and power. I pray that your word will encourage somebody here
who has been downpressed. Your word will raise hope, and your word will position your church for a victorious lifestyle and impact in our day. In Jesus's mighty name. And everybody say the amen. Amen. Like I said, and like Pastor David said, this week marks the beginning of the holy week, whereby we're gonna have Good Friday and we're gonna have Easter, where we remember the death of Christ and then the resurrection of Christ. This is a very important part in the Christian calendar, because without the death and resurrection of Christ, then our salvation wouldn't be there. We are saved because of what Christ did in a time like this. But the Bible says, before Jesus went to the cross, he came to the city of Jerusalem. This was a prophetic fulfillment. When you go to the book of Zechariah chapter nine and verse nine, it talks about Jesus coming in a humble way, in a lowly way, as a savior, as a saving king. And so Jesus needed to fulfill that. And so this week, which we are celebrating today, Bible says Jesus began his journey to Jerusalem. And he was going there as a savior. And I have good news for everybody seated in this house,
that Jesus is still moving. Just like he moved to Jerusalem on that day. Jesus is still moving in families, still moving in individual lives. And even today, Jesus is moving to your business and bring about a turnaround. Bible says, when he began the journey to Jerusalem, he needed a means of transport. And so he sent the disciples and say, go in front of me and you'll find a donkey that is tied and a coat with her. And when you find it, you should untie it and bring it to me. When you look at expectation of the Jews, they expected to see a conquering king who would come with horses, who would come with chariots, who would come with fire, but Jesus came in a very lowly way. Let me tell you, you might be seated here and maybe you are waiting for a sound, a mighty sound, a rushing wind, in order to see a change. But let me tell you, Jesus is moving in this place. You just had a testimony from my brother when we prayed here. And all of you have testimonies of healing, testimonies of breakthrough, testimonies of employment, and Jesus just moved slowly and he did miracles.
He healed, he turned around the stories. Jesus is still the way maker, he's still the miracle worker, he is still moving in our midst, and even today, he is moving in this house. And so the expectation of the Jews was, oh, this guy is gonna come like a warrior, but he came as a savior. He came riding on a donkey. A donkey was a very lowly animal. It was an animal that could be disregarded. But that's what Jesus chose of all things when he was coming to the seat of Jerusalem to fulfill prophecy. Let me tell you, all of us seated here in this house this morning, we can agree that Jesus has one way or the other touched our lives in ways we never thought. And we look back and wonder, say, oh, how did this happen? So when I was looking at this passage, I began to ask myself, how can I relate to this scripture? Because back in Uganda, I don't know whether it happens in America, but in religious circles, on a day like this, people call it palm leaves. And they go around waving them, singing hosanna. When you go to a church building,
you find everybody with palm leaves. So I wonder, I did see any here. Ah. I'm gonna go get a palm leaf right now. No worries. So I began to say, Jesus comes to Jerusalem on a day like this. And Jesus is the same yesterday. to Dan forever. What he did on the first Palm Sunday, he's still able to do today in Amiris. So I began to ask myself, what can I relate to in this passage? Can I relate to the people who carried palm leaves and went singing Hosanna waving palm leaves? What can I relate to? And really carrying palm leaves was good, but I looked at a loophole in the lives of these people who sang Hosanna for Jesus. They were singing Hosanna on Palm Sunday and a week later they were saying crucify him, crucify him. I said I don't want to be like those people who say Hosanna today and tomorrow are saying crucify Jesus. So I felt it's better for me to relate with the donkey. And this is what the Lord began to speak to me, that God uses the unexpected. The God we serve is a God who uses the unexpected people and expected things to do great things in any generation. Hallelujah. Like I told you in the start, everybody was expecting a conquering king coming with the horses, coming with the chariots of fire, but Jesus did not choose a horse. Jesus chose a donkey. He chose what people never expected. And all of us, if you can look at our lives and look at our stories, we can look back that we did not qualify even to be called children of God, but Jesus chose us from different walks of life. And today we are called sons. Today we are called daughters. Today we are called ministers of the gospel. Not all of us have good backgrounds. Most of us have very poor backgrounds. Me, I come from a very poor country. My family background is not good. I lost all my brothers of aides. I grew up in a very hard life. If it was somebody who was supposed to be called a minister of the gospel, I couldn't qualify. Nobody expected me to become what I am today, but Jesus chose me and said, you are the one. I can use you. Hallelujah. This donkey was unexpected. This donkey was rejected. This donkey, nobody expected anything good to come out of it, but Jesus saw it and said, I can use this donkey to carry my glory into Jerusalem.
So, it doesn't matter what people say about you. It doesn't matter what situation you're going through today. It doesn't matter what you're going through, but I'm here to tell you, Jesus has great expectation and a great destiny with every man and woman in this house. Destiny with every man and woman in this house. God has high hopes in you. God is expecting. God has a great destiny that he has prepared for every man and woman who is seated here. When you look throughout the Bible, the people that were used of God, these people are not people from a good background. Even when you look at the calling, the Bible says, when you look at our calling, God did not call the noble. God did not call those who are coming from good families. He did not call the elites, the educated. He called the lowly so that he could put to shame the wise. He called the weak so that he could glorify himself in their lives and show that he is God. Hallelujah. As we sit here this morning on this Palm Sunday, I want to tell you that God has great expectation in you and God is very willing. God is very ready to use you. House of race church, people may look at you and say, those people are going nowhere, but let me tell you, just saying you are my best and I'm going to use you to make a difference in your generation. I'm going to use you to make a difference, not only in Modesto, but also in America and in Uganda. The whole thing is for you to be available and say, Lord, here I am. Use me. When you become willing, the Lord is able to take over your life. The Lord is able to break every limitation and use you for his glory. Bible says, and Jesus says the disciples and says, Oh, you'll find a donkey. It is tied and a colt besides it. What does that mean? Jesus knows our location. He knows our limitations. He knows what is holding us back. He knows what is bothering us. He knows our weaknesses. But despite of all those things, Jesus still says, it is you I need. I am going to use you.
Despite of what you're going through. The donkey was tied back. It was tied on the law. And many of us in this life, you find we are tied in different circumstances. We are tied by fear. Sometime when you begin to see the call of God and maybe the ministry before you or what you feel the Lord is saying you can do. But when you look at yourself, you say, how can I do it? This is difficult. I remember when I stepped out in Uganda to begin doing a ministry to help children, orphan kids, to help single moms and all that. It was a big responsibility. Fear gripped me and I said, oh, will I measure up to this? But when I said yes to the Lord, I have seen the Lord himself help me every day, every other day. I'm not saying that the journey has been smooth. There are times when I don't have food for the orphans to eat. There are times when I run behind on salaries for the instructors in the vocation school. There are times when I run behind on salaries for the teachers. Actually, when I came here, I was running behind, but I have not given up. I'm still believing God, that God who has held me through the years, that God who has begun a good work,
he will not fail me. He will give me the grace. He will make a way where there seems to be no way. But many times, the reason why we have not been used of God is because we are tied back with fear. We are tied back with doubt. We are tied back sometimes because of people's opinion, what people think about us, what people say about us. Sometimes we have low esteem of ourselves. At other times, it is the history that we have. The history, you say, oh, it cannot be me. But let me tell you, our God can overlook all those things. If you just say yes to him, the Lord is able to break every limitation. The Lord is able to quicken you. The Lord is able to use you to carry his glory to the ends of the earth and even your generation. God is not looking for the experts or for the qualified. God is looking for the lowly. When God called Moses, he was a stammerer. He did not speak. But Moses said, yes, the Lord, and God used him. When God called David, you can look at his family. When Samuel came with that flask of oil looking for who to anoint, David was not even regarded by his father. So it doesn't matter what opinion people have about you. Maybe even your fellow people in the church may look at you and say, this one cannot make it. But let me tell you, God says, you are my best
and I have need of you. He told the disciples, when you go there and they ask you what are you doing with this donkey? Tell them the Lord has need of them. This scripture, Matthew 21, talks about the donkey and talks about the colt, which means that God is not only going to use the old, but God's gonna use even the younger people. Hallelujah. The Lord has got need of them. God is not only gonna use bigger businesses. Don't despise the business that you have. Don't despise the job that you have. You may be earning little salary, don't despise it. The Lord says, I have need of you. I have need of your business. I have need of your talent. Just turn up and see what I can do through you to make a difference in your day. Hallelujah. Sometimes people speak down on us. They look down on us. They speak down on us. They say, these people don't qualify. That church is going nowhere. But let me tell you, let not peoples of... opinions controllers Bible says when the untied the donkey The donkey began to move with confidence and carried Jesus into the city Bible says and they saw Jesus
Jesus in glory. Let me tell you when you stand in prayer God is gonna use your prayers to make a difference When you give your time when you give your offering when you give your missions fund However small it might look like let me tell you don't despise it God can use it to to display his glory in the nation's Why because God always uses the unexpected God does not use The qualified he uses those that look unexpected he uses those that look overlooked He uses those that look ignored He uses those that have a history that when you look at you say not that one But when God takes hold of that history He turns around and uses that history to glorify his name This donkey had never done anything Tangible had never done anything great It had never carried anything. It was always tied I begin to think that even the master or the owner of that donkey never expected a lot from that donkey But just say I expect much in that donkey. I have a destiny With that donkey everybody seated here. You are not here by coincidence You are here on divine appointment You are living at a time like this on divine appointment What you need to do is to change the way you look at yourself Many of us are controlled by the way. We look at ourselves When you got the book of Jeremiah chapter 1 We see begin from verse 5 The Lord speaking to Jeremiah and says before I found you in the womb of your mother I knew you and I appointed you as a prophet to the nations Let me tell you all of us have gone through different ways of life All of us have histories that may not to be Desirable we have history that we may not even need to talk about But let me tell you even though we have gone through those many things
God knew us Tell your neighbor God knew you before the foundation of the earth was laid So he tells Jeremiah I knew you and I appointed you and Jeremiah says, oh my god I'm just a young boy. I Did not know how to speak and go tell Jeremiah I'll give you what to say What does that mean? The only thing is be available Be willing begin with the strength you have and see how I can transform your life and use you to do great things But when you continue in the verses down God poses a question to Jeremiah and this is very very important and it says Son of man, what did you see? That's a good question Son of man, what do you see? He has already told Jeremiah. I knew you I Appointed you he has already promised him. You are going to be a prophet the nations. I'm gonna use you to stand for me He tells him I'm gonna give you the word speak But then he comes back Jeremiah and says son of man having had all these things. What did you see? What do you see And Jeremiah told the Lord I see the branch of an almond tree and God told Jeremiah you have seen me. Well What does that mean if you begin to see things? Right, if you begin to look at yourself the way God looks at you Not looking at yourself in regard to your education level Not looking at yourself in regard to a financial standard Not looking at yourself in regard to your former history Not looking at yourself in regard to people's opinion when you begin to look at yourself The way God looks at you. That's what I become a game changer in your life Many people have been held back because of the way they look at things. They look at things in the natural. They look at things, they look at what surrounds them.
They look at what they are struggling. Instead of lifting their eyes beyond what they are going through and look at things the way God looks at them. The Bible says, anyone who is in Christ Jesus, he is a new creation. Hallelujah. Behold, the old is gone and the new has come. All of us, when we came to Jesus Christ, we became a new creation. And that's how God looks at us. He does not look at us in regard to our past failures. He does not look to us in regard to our first mistakes. He looks to us in regard to the finished work of Jesus Christ, which he did on the cross for you and me. And this is how God looks at you. He says, you are a holy priesthood. He says, you are a chosen nation. He says, you are the people that have chosen so that you can display my glory. That's why God has called us. He has called us from darkness to light. He has chosen us and appointed us to become his holy priesthood. And God wants to display his glory in and through us. But let me tell you something, it begins at the way you look at things. When you have a wrong vision, when you look at things just in the natural, not in the light to the word of God, then you become a failure. I remember a story when I was growing up as a young boy. My father began to teach me to ride a bicycle because I was the only boy. All my brothers, my elder brother had died. I had big sisters. And so he wanted me to learn to ride a bicycle so that he can send me maybe to the shop, to buy something, the grocery shop, or send me to the market, or send me to the milling, maize mill, where they do milling of maize, corn, cornmeal.
And so he began to teach me. And when he began to teach me, he could hold the bicycle for me and I began to ride. But as I rode the bicycle, whenever he released the bicycle, I went to the ground. And he could come back. And gracious, he held the bicycle for me again and I began to ride. When he's holding, I can ride. But immediately he released the bike to the ground three times and my dad was upset. I had a, we had a big compound. He came out and slapped me and said, why do you fall every time? And I tell him, I'm doing my best. He said, no, you are the problem. I said, why? He told me, because when you are riding, you are looking down. Because when you look down, where you look is where you go. He said, if you look down, the bicycle will go down. When you look in the front, the bicycle will go forward. So I changed my mind. I removed my eyes from the ground. I began to ride looking front. You are not there. I began to ride. Not many days. I could go to the market. Not many days. I could go to the well. Why? Because I changed my focus. Many of us are tied by the way we look at things. The way you see controls who you're going to become. And so God tells Jeremiah, you have seen well.
I've told you all these things and you have gotten a good vision. And because you have seen well, my power is going to make sure it fulfills whatever I have said. When you begin to have a clear vision, when you begin to look at things the way God looks at them, when you begin to have the right identity, you break away from fear. You break away from discouragement. You begin to walk by faith and God uses you to display his glory in your generation. And that's what God is calling all of us. We are living at a time like this by divine appointment. We are not living at this time just by coincidence. God knew us. God knows our conditions and he says, it doesn't matter what you're going through right now. ready to take hold of you. If you carry me, if you carry my word, if you follow my voice, if you follow my leading, I'll take you to greater places. I'll use you to carry my glory to homes, to nations, and to your generation. I am ready to do that more than ever before. That's what God says. And so on this Palm Sunday, the Lord has sent me all the way from Uganda to tell you, House of Rest Church, that you are in the divine plan of God. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen.
Amen. God has need of you. And God has high hopes in you. Don't look down at yourself. Let not what you are going through cause you to lose focus. You remember the story of Peter, when he was in the middle of the storm. Bible says these guys struggled with the water. They had all these buckets, I begin to imagine, and the waves could come and fill up the boat, and they got the buckets and poured the water out. It was a hustle. And they begin to wonder, say, God, where are you, Jesus? You have forsaken us? But Bible says, as they were struggling, Jesus was seeing them. He was at the mountain praying, and he was seeing them. And he came walking on the water, walking on their problem. And when they saw him, they said, it looks like this is a ghost. And Peter tells Jesus, he just tells them, don't be afraid. Do not be afraid. I am the one. Okay? Let me tell you, brothers and sisters,
in everything you're going through, you are not alone. Jesus promised, I will never leave you. I will never forsake you. I'll be with you until the end of the age. Even when people change their mind on you, even when people disappoint you, even when people leave you, there is one friend who will never leave us. His name is Jesus. The storm and the waters were contrary. They were against them. These guys tried the level-based things, and they were just getting worse. But Jesus saw them. And I pray that Jesus will come your way, because he promised never to leave you. I pray he'll come and join you in any storm you're facing, so that you can have a testimony and see his glory. And Bible says, just say, Peter says, if you are the one, command me to come. So he just tells him, come over. You are not there. And Peter, by faith, looking at Jesus, began to walk on the water, began to walk on the problems. But Bible says, but when he saw the winds and the storms, he changed focus. He removed his eyes from Jesus, who had commanded him.
He removed his eyes on Jesus, who had called him, and began to look at the storms. Pastor, there are times when storms become so much, and sometimes you find you're looking at this, you're looking at this, you become so miserable. You have sleepless nights. Why? Because you're focusing on the storm. You're focusing on the turbulence, on the water, on the storm, on the waves. And Bible says, we just looked. So when Peter looked at the waves, he began to what? To sing. But Bible says, when he began to sing, he changed his mindset. He looked well. He looked at Jesus and said, Jesus, save me. And just stretched his hand and picked him up and saved him. Let me tell you, Jesus is able to do great things. He has called us. He is ready to use us to do the unexpected. You may feel like you don't qualify. You may look at yourself and around yourself and say, maybe somebody else would do it better. But just sent him here with a simple message on this Palm Sunday to tell you that he's a God who uses the unexpected. He's the God who uses the lowly.
He's God who uses the ignored. He's a God who uses those that nobody regards as important. And God uses them to make a difference in their generation. And house of rest, I don't know which battles you're facing. Life is full of battles. But I'm here to tell you, the one who's on your side is greater than the one who's against you. His name is Jesus Christ. He began a good work in this place. He will bring it to pass. Let what you're going through not hold you back. Some of you might be here and you're battling death. You're battling sickness. You're battling a number of circumstances. And because of that, it is holding you back. But the Lord is saying, ignore whatever you are going through and focus on me. Do what I have called you to do. And when you do what I have called you to do, I will handle the rest. God has got the power to handle the rest. Hallelujah. This cult was able to carry Jesus in glory and take Him to Jerusalem. And all of us here, Jesus is ready to empower us and to use us to make a difference in our day. So don't look down at yourself. Don't allow anything to hold you back. It's time for the church to arise. It's the time for the church to break away from every fear. To break out from every low esteem and say, Lord, here I am, use me. And this God who used this donkey, this God who used all the people in the Bible that would seem not to be capable, this same God is still able to use the house of rest. Hallelujah.
God is able to use it to do great things. When we began the church in Kasesi, everybody was laughing and making fun of us. I was a young boy. And they said, those people can't go nowhere. But today, in our town, we have the largest church. I have seen God do that. And that one, when I look at it every day, it gives me strength. Even when I'm faced with the needs. Even when I have bills to meet. You know, sometimes, Pastor, in this work we are doing, like I'm running the orphanage, I'm running the vocational school, I have over 30 people to pay every month. Sometimes, I don't have fees for my children to go to school. I have my daughter in university doing law. Even today, I've not paid her tuition. Sometimes you come and wonder, okay, what do I do, Lord? What's this? I'm giving myself to everybody. I'm helping everybody. Lord, what is this? But whenever I look back and see what God has done in the past, from scratch, it gives me strength to keep trusting Him, to keep serving Him. And every time when I look to God, I have seen God do great things, do miracles. I've seen God make a way where there seems to be no way. I've seen God open doors. I've seen God help me. I've seen God put a song upon my lips. I've seen God give me a testimony. And I'm here to tell you, let nothing hold you back. If you stand firm and do what God has called you, despite of the challenges of the day, God is going to walk with you, and God is going to help you to see the glory.
The donkey saw the glory of God. When you are waving to Jesus and saying, Hosanna, the donkey was there. Let me tell you, God is ready to make you to become a witness of the great things that He's able to do. In Jesus' mighty name. So as I close this morning, I don't know what has been holding you back. As I close this morning, I don't know how you've been looking at yourself. Maybe because of the battles of life you've been going through, you feel like, oh, I cannot make it. Maybe because of the disappointments of people. I've looked at life where people disappoint me, and I feel like, oh God, I've invested in them. I've loved on them. I've given all my all into them. And all of a sudden, people change. There are times I came to a point and said, Lord, can I trust people anymore? People are not trustworthy. You can't trust them, Lord. It's too much. This is so painful. But the Lord told me one word which changed my life. He said, when you are ministering to the people, you are serving my people. But you are ministering to my people, but you are serving me. And so this keeps me going. I come to love on people. I come to empower people. I come to take care of people. I come to do the work of God. Why? Because I know whatever I'm doing, I'm not just doing it unto men. I'm doing unto Him, and He is faithful. So maybe you are in this house. And you've gone through some circumstances that have caused slowdown.
And you feel like I cannot do it anymore. The Lord has sent me here today to pray with you. And to tell you that you can break loose from fear. You can break loose from doubt. You can break loose from discouragement. You can break loose from disappointment. And you can go forward and carry His glory. And fulfill the mandate that He has called you to do. So if you're here and you're saying, Lord, I am the one. I need your divine help. I need your grace upon my life. I need you to give me strength. I was beginning to slow down. I was beginning to feel surrounded. I was beginning to feel weak. But Lord, give me the strength. I was beginning to get discouraged. Give me the strength. I want to go forward. I want to pray with you, if you are that kind of person. Thank you, brother. God bless you. You can walk out in front as they give us this song. And I'll pray for you in the name of Jesus Christ. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I don't know what your struggles might be. I don't know what has been holding you back. But today, Jesus is here saying, I have a destiny for you. Jesus is saying, you are the one that I'm ready to use. He sees your struggles. He sees your pain. But he's saying, I am ready to use you and reveal my glory in and through you. Yeah. It doesn't matter what has happened to your life. I have a great destiny for you. Raise up your hands. Maybe you're struggling with sickness and you are here. This Jesus who moved in Jerusalem in power, he moved with salvation. He came as a saving king. He is in this house today. He is here to touch your body.
He is here to redeem you from pain. Maybe you are struggling with death. You are struggling to cause the ends to meet. Everything seems so difficult. Jesus, the Savior, who entered Jerusalem on that Palm Sunday, he is here moving in house of rest as a way maker. He's moving this house as a promise keeper. He is here. He says, when you call upon me, I will answer you. And I will show you great and mighty things which you do not know. And so as you come before him today, as you raise up your hands, the Lord is stretching his mighty hand to help you. Heavenly Father, it's my prayer this morning that you move once again in this house. Just like how you moved in Jerusalem in glory, just how you moved in honor, just how you moved as a conquering savior, as a redeemer. There are people in this house this morning, Lord, who are battling sicknesses, who are battling death, who are battling addictions. Heavenly Father, Savior of our lives, I pray that you have your way. Have your way in this house. Touch those who seem unqualified. Touch those who are struggling with addiction. Transform them and make them vessels that they will carry your glory.
Touch those businesses which have been weak. Empower them that they become businesses that you're going to use to send the gospel to promote the kingdom of God all over the globe. I pray, Lord, that this will be a day of visitation, just like how Israel waited for you. And on Palm Sunday, they saw you arrive. I pray you arrive in the life of this man, this woman here. Tell him, come, Lord Jesus. You can give us a song of worship as we pray. Glory to you, Lord. Alleluia, Alleluia, for the Lord God Almighty reigneth. Alleluia, Alleluia, for the Lord God Almighty reigneth. He is moving in your life. He's moving in this ministry once again. That all thought it was over, don't be shocked by what God is doing. Lord triumph over every situation, may the Lord triumph over that situation, may the Lord triumph over that fear, may the Lord triumph over that addiction today. Alleluia. Alleluia. Mother, Lord, God Almighty. Alleluia. Alleluia. For the Lord God Almighty reigns. Alleluia. Holy, holy, are you Lord God Almighty? Worthy is thy Name, worthy is thy Name. You are holy, holy, are you Lord God Almighty? Worthy is thy Name, worthy is thy Name. You are holy, holy, are you Lord God Almighty?

And they never ceased to say holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come. Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come.
