Guys, there are going to be times in life when you feel surrounded by the things of this world. When you feel like the enemy has you cornered. He's throwing everything he has at you. I want you to remember that you are surrounded by something even greater. And that is the spirit of a living God. And that living God is sitting in heaven with a legion of angels surrounding him ready to go to war on your behalf. So that is exactly how we fight our battles. My name is Joseph. I know you wanted to share

something. I do. Did you notice Pastor has been trying to match me a lot lately? I almost feel like he wakes up and he waits to see what I'm wearing, and then he tries to copy me. That's bougie. I like that word. I'm learning new words lately. All right. Guys, I have never, never had three baby baskets at one time out there. Did you guys notice that? Yes, that's so awesome. Our church is literally, I love that word, literally growing. All right, put that, put that flyer up. Look at that. Exciting times. Our house arrest church family is growing. We had the Villela family. I said it right, right? Okay. And Ruiz family and the Anguiano family. They are all expecting babies. Two baby boys and a baby girl. That is exciting. We're going to have a baby girl running around because it's been a lot of baby boys running around. So we have a little girl that's going to be joining the crew and they're going to be all running around the same time. That is crazy. So get ready guys. But it's been so much easier to have baby baskets out there. Let's be a blessing to our new baby blessings and let's fill up those baskets. Let's do what we do best and bless them. And you happen to go to the store and you find something really cute. It's so much easier to find stuff for girls, I know, but let's be creative and let's find something for those boys. And I'm excited. So let's bless the baby baskets. And I just wanted to throw that out in case you don't know who the families are. I created this cute little photo, little collage thing so that way you guys can know who they are. And I put pictures out there so you know who the families are. So if you kind of see them walking around, congratulate them. Because it's it's a beautiful thing to bring babies into into this beautiful world. And it's such an additional blessing to a family. So thank you. And that's all I wanted to say. Man, I was gonna say something about these. The violas Felix, he wants to populate this church just between him and his wife. I don't know. Israel's like, nah. I wanted to say something really quick, like one minute out of each family. Felix and his wife are just beautiful people, amazing

people. And just to see, just knowing his testimony and seeing him today, him and his wife today. And I mean, it is a miracle. And that's a huge blessing. So We want to be able to bless that baby boy that's coming into a beautiful family. The Ruiz family is Naomi and Daniel. They are spiritual children. They originally she came because Daniel was completely lost. He had depression, no anxiety, depression. That boy had some demons in him, right? And and she came to buy a book of my testimony because he used to listen to my music in the past. And they came. She was desperate for God. She grew up in church, but he didn't know the Lord came to the other building. I remember we prayed deliverance in the name of Jesus. He was set free that day. He surrendered his life to the Lord after I don't know how long. We married them, took him to Lake Tahoe. We married them. And then a little Airbnb up on the hill overseeing Lake Tahoe. And now they have two babies and they have another one coming. So that's a blessing. The Anguiano family, man, they came and I remember Brother Dennis brought him and he was, hey, I want you to talk to my friend because he doesn't believe in God, but he needs to. And and he came and he brought Marina and he was very skeptical. But within weeks, the Lord won him over. And they were baby Christians still, you know, and they were here and they were growing. Marina could be his wife.

Marina can be they got married not too long ago. And they are a new Christian family. And it's you know, so I have something to say about all three of them. So if you're somewhere in a store, just pick something up, throw it in the basket, because we want to be able to bless all three of these families. Um, we had our Spanish conference, our second annual Spanish conference for Grace International in Livermore. I have a short video I want to show you that they sent me of it. And so if you can just go ahead and play that video real quick, go ahead. So that was our second annual just going to just I don't know what date, but it's always going to be in February. Something that we want you to consider just just joining us every single time. It's in Livermore. We all went as a caravan out of all the churches that went. We were the biggest presence there. And so that was fun. That was amazing. I want to just remind you that we are Grace International Church. We have almost 6000 churches around the world that are part of Grace International. We don't have 6000 churches. We're part of that. It's a it's a covering that's been around for 90 years of pastors and leaders. And out of those ministries, there's three ministries that we choose to support here, which is the three that you're going to see on the screen, Pastor George. In India, Pastor Thomas in Nigeria, and Pastor Moses in Uganda. What we ask is $3, and your $3 gets split, you know, $1 to each one. We gather those in every quarterly. We give it to them, and it's a huge blessing. I truly believe that this church is blessed because we support missions. I truly believe that with all my heart, you know,

because there's so many times that we probably shouldn't be here, but because of what we do together. So if that's something you want to do, you can give online, you can give, or even on the envelope, just make sure you allocate $3 for missions because we want to make sure that we're a blessing to these ministries. Also, the offering and the tithing, you know, for those of you that are learning here, you're discipled here, you're growing here, your children are here, you know, I believe this is good soil because we want to continue to be here. So please consider, you know, your offerings, your tithings for it to be here in the house of God so we can continue to grow. There's more people to reach in this city. There's more people to reach in the surrounding areas. And it's nice to have a place to bring them for Bible studies, for learning, for prayer, for just whatever it is that God wants to do and the Spirit of God wants to do. I remember, before we do the Bible declaration, on Thursday, we had a celebration of life here for Brother Jose. If you don't know who Jose is, he's the one always vacuuming. And he's always behind the cafe there with a huge smile. And Sienna and her grandma. So they had a celebration of life for his mom. And they went on Friday to bury her where she wanted to be buried in Mexicali. And they had this beautiful arrangement. And the sister, his oldest sister, said, I can't take it with me. Can I leave it and maybe use it for your message? And I said, sure. Holy Spirit will give me something because it is beautiful. So let's see what happens, right? Anybody have their Bible? Let's lift our Bibles up. If you have your Bible. If you don't, then bring it next time. And we're going to say this together. Hold up your Bible. Are you ready? And say, this is my Bible. so before we read it today's message I thought last week was the finale for the Holy Ghost sermon series and yeah we're in part 5 today and if you can get it up on the screen part 5 today is called I am sealed actually can we all say I am sealed usually on Monday I don't think about the message at all I just kinda veg out a lot of times it it spiritually drains me on Sundays so Monday I just do nothing usually on Tuesday the Lord starts giving me a glimpse of the message for Sunday and Wednesday scriptures start to form in my heart and it just becomes more clear and more clear and then by Saturday it's like a puzzle and I start to piece it together for Sunday morning I don't like to put sermons together days before because it feels like stagnant bread to me I like to keep it fresh that way when I deliver it it's like a fresh loaf of bread and if you've ever smelled fresh bread it smells good but Tuesday I got nothing Wednesday I'm getting nervous and I'm just like Lord you know you're not giving me nothing and then I went to sleep and I got woken up at four o'clock in the morning and I couldn't sleep so you know when you wake up at four you just start praying just start talking to God like okay I woke up for a reason I just start praying

and in the middle of praying I start praying for I always you know I pray for my parents I pray for my brothers you know our children my wife I pray for you guys and then after just usually I get sleepy by that by the time I get to you guys I get sleepy but then I didn't fall asleep so I'm like okay so I'm like I guess you want to conversate Lord and I'm like well since you got me up and we're conversating I need something for Sunday I said I really enjoyed you know the sermon series but I need something for Sunday I need something he says because you're not done yet what do you mean I'm not done yet he says who told you to end it at four I don't know it sounded good all the February was four he's like well I'm not done and I said you want me to do a part five and the moment I said that it's like all these scriptures start hitting me in the forehead and all these scriptures start like this down low starts starts and I start to get excited I start to get happy and I remember saying thank you Lord thank you you gave me my message thank you Lord thank you and then I knocked out so here we are part five in John 14 12 it says truly truly I say to you this is Jesus speaking he says whoever believes in me how many of you believe in him okay so this is for you whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do what you raise people from the dead Lord eyes open lame walk he says whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do and here's the one look at this one and greater works than these will he do because I am going to the father so we either these are one of those verses where we either receive it or reject it there's no middle ground here Jesus says it and if he's authoritative

then what he's saying here is that everything that I did you're going to do matter of fact you're going to do much greater things because I'm going to the Father. So at this point in your Christianity, you gotta make a choice. Am I gonna walk in that or not? Because if he said it, that's good enough for me. And if he said it, it should be good enough for you. Last week, it was amazing, right, because we talked about the day of Pentecost and it was a beautiful altar moment here and the Spirit of God was moving. I heard later there was a lot of people that had never spoken in tongues before that had spoken in tongues that day, that last week. Beautiful, that's awesome, right? But I want to say this, the Holy Ghost didn't come just to move you. Hmm. That's where I made my mistake. Because I thought, man, part four, we're gonna end it with the day of Pentecost, we're gonna end it with tongues, and the Lord said, what, you think I came just to have your tongue do this and then that's it? And you keep on to some other sermon? The Holy Ghost didn't come just to move you, he came to mark you and seal you. Hmm. The Holy Ghost didn't come just to move you,

he came to seal you. That is a better fitting to just kind of bring this thing full circle from the very beginning to part one. You know, when I look at these flowers, we see there's carnations, white, red, there's roses. Let's see what these pull out. Okay. Let's see here. We promised this to a sister, I'm not messing it up if you're in here. She's like, I really want that. Before the sealing of the Holy Ghost, something has to happen first, right? This, let's say this red rose represents his blood. His blood. And that blood represents that we have been redeemed, we have been set free, that before there's a seal of the Holy Ghost, there has to first be a sacrifice. You can't just come to church and say, Lord, fill me up without a sacrifice. The Bible says that we are a living sacrifice. What does that mean? See, here's the thing, right, is that many of us came with all kinds of hiccups, all of our stuff, and we wanna, it's almost like we wanna serve God and just add him to the package that you already are of who you are and what you are.

But before the sealing of the Holy Ghost, there has to be a sacrifice first. In order for there to be salvation, he had to die on the cross first, correct? And what did he say? Carry your cross daily. So there's a sacrifice of ourselves. That's why the Bible says that you are a living sacrifice. In other words, you need to lay yourself down unto the Lord. You can't expect the seal of the Holy Ghost until there's a sacrifice in our lives. Salvation is free, but you gotta lay it down. So we see that that red has always represented his blood, but before there was a seal, there was a sacrifice. So the blood. And what's beautiful about it, right, is that once the blood is shed, according to Scripture, the Bible says that we are made clean. And the Holy Ghost seals what has been declared clean. And it made me think of the, right, because I'm not much of a carpenter or nothing, I don't, but I have seen when sometimes wood has to be sealed, for instance, a back porch or something to where the elements are going to affect it, right? So first of all, before you do that, you wanna sand it, you wanna clean it, you wanna dust it off because you have a wood seal in order, so the waters and the elements don't ruin the wood. Whether it's tarnish or seal, whatever, like I said,

I don't know those things, but I know it has something because if you leave it like that, the water will get into the wood and destroy it over time. And Before you're going to seal it, you've got to make sure there's nothing on it. Because why would you put a seal over wood that has dirt and grime on it for? The moment you put that seal on it, it's going to get stuck in there. Whatever it is, whatever is on it, you put the seal, it is a done deal. It's finished. So you want to make sure that it's clean. And in the same way, you know, in the same way, because once that wood is sealed, nothing can destroy it. It can be raining, it could be thunder, it could be lightning, whatever it is, and because that wood is sealed, nothing's going to touch it. So first there's a sacrifice. Once the sacrifice, we are made clean, and then the sealing of the Holy Ghost can come. And what's interesting is that a lot of us walk around this world as if saying, oh, Satan's going to attack me, Satan's going to do this, Satan's going to do that. Don't you understand that you are sealed by the Holy Ghost? And when you are sealed by the Spirit of God, nothing can touch you. Does that mean you're never going to die? No, that's, we are living in a fallen world. I'm not talking about that. But this whole thing about walking around as a Christian, as if we got to walk on eggshells and because we don't want demons to jump on us, who taught you that? Because that ain't the Word of God. We're going to believe the Word of God or we're going to believe what somebody tells us or what our own mind tells us or what our, we have to start to listen to what the Word of God says and live it out. So the Holy Ghost seals what has been declared clean already.

You know, in the Old Testament, Moses, the Bible says that Moses was on the back side of the desert and he saw a burning bush. And what surprised him was that it was on fire, but it wasn't consumed. And God spoke to him through the burning bush and gave him some orders and basically told him, I want you to go to Pharaoh and tell him to let my people go. I've heard the cries of my people. So he went, all the plagues happened. And God said, bring them back to this mountain and I will speak to them. So he went back. If you know the story, all the plagues that happened and everything that happened, but finally the moment came when they came back to the mountain and Moses says, hold up, make camp. I'm going to go back up to talk to God because he wants to talk with you, but I need to go talk to God first. So the Bible says that he went up there and he spent so many days in the presence of God as he's on that mountain that he didn't realize that by him spending time with God, that the glory of God was on him. And when he came down the mountain, they got scared because his face was glowing. He didn't even realize it. Sometimes when you spend time with God, the people of the world don't know how to take it or understand. I have had people, I remember I was in Stockton one time on Harding, there's a jack in a box there. Me and Sharon were in the car. This woman was just walking by across the street and we were just minding our business, you know, and she stopped and looked at us. She's like, don't look at me. And she started manifesting because she saw the glory. Greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world. We don't, you know, when you spend time in the presence of God, you don't know it, oh,

but the kingdom of darkness knows it. And Moses came down, his face was glowing, it freaked the people out where they're like, man, throw a sheet over your head, dude, you're scaring us. He was in the presence of God so much that every, that whole time he had to put something over his face because it freaked the people out because of the glory of God upon him. Matter of fact, in 2 Corinthians chapter 3, starting in verse 1. 2nd Corinthians chapter 3, Paul is writing a letter, a second letter to the church in Corinth and he starts to impart and teach them something that is still relevant to us today. 2nd Corinthians chapter 3 starting at 1. We there yet? Okay. He says, and we're going to be here for a minute. He says, remember he's writing a letter to the church in Corinth and he says, are we beginning to commend ourselves again? Or do we need as some do letters of recommendation to you and from you? And it's interesting, right? Because a lot of times when you go somewhere or you impart something, they, they want to say, well, who sent you by what authority? And Paul was, there was a lot of things going on in the Corinthian church and things that were going not right. And there was a lot of disobedience and just crazy stuff that was happening in that church. In other words, are we beginning to commend ourselves again? Do I have to show things to show you in what authority I come? What letters do I need? Do I need a recommendation letter? So you take me serious. But I love this because in verse two, he says, you yourselves are our letter of recommendation written on our hearts to be known and read by all. You got to remember, Paul couldn't say, well, it says in 1st Corinthians, the Bible was being written at the moment. There was no new Testament. So yes, they would, he would preach the old Testament or what they considered were their holy scriptures at that time. They didn't consider it old Testament because there was no new Testament yet. And he's saying, listen, I'm not coming with, with, with, with this letter. Matter of fact, you are the letter. You are the proof of who Jesus is. Some people might say, well, how do you prove, how can you know God is real? How can you know this and knew that? And that's where you shift into testimony. Listen, man, I wasn't there 2000 years ago, but I'll tell you who I was a few years ago. I probably would have robbed you 2000, a couple, a few years ago, but I'm not, I'm sharing Jesus with you. I am a living testimony of who he is. Oh my, who says who, what scholar, man, do I need to

show you who I was? He says, you yourselves are a letter of recommendation. And I love that because he's telling them, man, what recommending, what recommendation do I need? You were a drunk. You were a prostitute. You were this. He's pointing everybody out. You were this. And, but now you're not that anymore. Isn't that good enough? He says, these letters are written in our hearts to be known and read by all. That's the beauty of it, right? Somebody says, how do you know this Jesus is real? I said, seriously, do I need to have everybody in this church, give a 10 minute testimony of what God took them out of? You can't tell me that God ain't real. You can't tell me that he doesn't change. You can't tell me he don't break the chains. You can't tell me he can't set people free. You can't tell me somebody can be an alcoholic and now they're set free. You can't tell me somebody was an addict and now they're not an addict anymore. You can't tell me that. We are a living testimony. He was a man and to be known and read by everybody. Verse three, he says, and you show that you are a letter from Christ delivered by us, written not with ink, but with the spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone, but on tablets of human hearts. Then here's where it starts to get to the point of what he's saying. He said, listen, man, we don't need ink. We don't need pens. We don't need highlighters. We don't need none of that stuff. We are, we have the story of who Jesus is written on our hearts. I want to get all kinds of Christian tattoos. So everybody knows that I'm a Christian. Don't make me start looking at people. And I'm going to say what I always say. How about instead of that, you write his name on your heart. How about if it ain't the tattoos or your Christian shirt, what if it's your demeanor and who you are and the spirit of God that is in you? Because trust me, when you start to serve the Lord and worship the Lord, every single person that has a demon in them, oh, they're gonna know what you're about. Written not with ink, but with the spirit of the living God. Not on tablets of stone.

So now he's getting to the point, because remember Moses was up there, spent time with God. He came back with two tablets, not Samsung tablets, tablets of stone. And all those tablets were the 10 commandments and he came down and he's like, these are the 10 commandments and we're gonna hold on to these. And it was like a huge deal and they put it in the Ark of the Covenant. But see, that was a shadow of what God was gonna do, because he took the tablets and put it inside a golden box. And what Paul is saying, he says, listen, that was just a shadow, because it's not gonna be a box and it's not gonna be stones of tablet, it's a spirit of God that he's gonna put it inside of you. That I will put my statutes in you, I will put my commandments in you, because you are now the temple. And I will put my word inside of you. Verse four, such is a confidence that we have through Christ toward God. Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything that's coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God. What does that mean? Paul is saying, man, we can't brag. Oh, I used to be this, I used to be that,

but I set myself free. Paul is saying, you can't brag, I can't brag. There's no way I could have changed, there's no way that my mind could have changed, yes, and then there's some people that say, well, I'll just abstain from going into the liquor store. You know what's better than abstaining? It's just to be set free from it. See, abstaining, that's behavior modification. See, when I came to the Lord, guys, I grew up in church, but I didn't know how to surrender my life to the Lord. I didn't know how to pray. And so I talked to God in the way I talk. And I remember saying this to the Lord, something like this, I'm like, Lord, when I was a kid, you changed my dad because he was an alcoholic, and I still remember that day when he gave his life to you and he never drank again. I said, I know that my cousin who used to be my sidekick, my road dog, and he was crazy, God, and I don't know how, but somehow he got saved. I said, but I, you know, I don't think you can do it with me, because I'm really, really far gone, Lord. But if you can change me, I don't want to change my behavior because, Lord, I'm afraid I'm gonna be a bad person because, Lord, I'm afraid that I'm going to act like a Christian but desire the world. And I said, and this is what I told God.

I said, God, I ain't fake, and I ain't never gonna be fake. I wasn't fake in the streets, and I don't wanna be fake with you. So I don't care how I act to other people, but change me from the inside. Take the things out of me that need to be taken out of me, God, because I don't want to live a Christian life but inside that I desire the world still. Take it out of me, Lord. Change me. Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God. Man, I'll never forget, because I was in a certain, I was in a certain section in Sacramento County Jail where they had all the Northerners on this tower, and they had all the Southerners in that tower. They kept us completely separate from each other, but we would run into each other when we would go to court because the elevators were in the middle of the towers. They're on that side, we're on this side, don't see each other, but when it's time to go to court, and this is when I knew it changed because I had already given my life to the Lord, surrendered my life to the Lord, felt the Spirit of God come upon me, felt all kinds of weight come off of me, but I'm in my cell. Maybe it's just in my mind because I used to feel so much hatred for that side.

I would just see them at a gas station, see them somewhere, and I would just feel hate and rage. Here I am in my cell, surrendering my life to the Lord, and it was time to go to court. Didn't think about it, didn't do nothing, and I remember being. brought out. And then I saw them bring them out. You know what? No rage. No hate. No anger. No nothing. Matter of fact, I remember seeing them that I'll be honest with you. I never share this part of testimony. That's when I knew that I knew that I knew that God did a work in me. That's when I knew because I'm like, he took this out. He completely took it out. And I remember just being there and just right there in line. I'm just like, thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord, because you answered my prayer, Lord God, because there is nothing sufficient in me, because I give it all to you because you changed me, Lord. He has made us sufficient to be ministers of a new covenant. That's the confidence that we have. Verse six, who has made us sufficient to be ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter, but of the Spirit. Because the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. So Paul is saying, listen, listen, man, the Ten Commandments, awesome, Moses, awesome. But but but don't get it twisted. We got something better than the stones that he had. We have something better than the Ark of the Covenant. We have something better than the tabernacle. We got something better. Don't you know that he's not writing it on stone? He's writing it on our hearts. There is something greater, there's a greater glory that's coming. That's why he says it's not of the letter, but of the Spirit. Because the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. You know,

there's a time in the scriptures where Jesus was going through, and he tells the religious leaders, he says, you search the scriptures, not knowing that the scriptures are pointing to me. People think, well, I'll just memorize Bible, I'll just memorize this, I'll memorize that, I'll learn Hebrew, I'll learn Greek, I'll do, I'll learn all these things, and the whole time you're surpassing the Savior. What good is it if you have all this eloquent speech to talk and all these skills and how to give a sermon and the Spirit of God is not there? What does it matter at that point if you can preach to 10,000 people but not have the Spirit of God with you? It is better to keep your mouth shut. But when the Spirit of God is in you, he's like fire inside of your bones, and there's nothing that can stop you. And if it's a one person or 10,000 people, the Spirit of God is gonna move. You don't need eloquent words. The Spirit of God. Verse seven. He says, Now if the ministry of death, carved in letters on stone, came with such, I'm getting somewhere, came with such glory, that the Israelites could not gaze at Moses face because of its glory, which was being brought to an end. Okay. So Paul is saying, if letters carved into rock was so glorious that Moses had to cover his face, because the glory was too much for the people to handle. And we're talking about stones. And Paul is trying to make a point. He says, man, if that was glorious, if that's the thing that made Moses cover his face, because the glory of God was so strong, because of stones. Look what he says. I'm gonna read that verse again. Now if the ministry of death carved in letters on stone came with such glory, that the Israelites could not gaze at Moses face because of its glory, which was being brought to an end. Well, not the ministry of

the Spirit have even more glory. Guys, do you realize that the Holy Ghost inside of you is greater than some tablets with 10 commandments written on them. And it's not to do away with it, because Jesus is I didn't came to do away with the law, I came to fulfill the law. But instead of it being written on stone, I'm about to write it on your hearts. And if that was glorious enough with just rocks, how much more glory are you going to have when the Spirit of God is in you and operates and through you, there is more glory. So if the people in the Israelites were afraid to see Moses face, then we should be glowing 10 times more. Oh, man. Verse 9, for if there was glory in the ministry of condemnation, remember the laws, laws don't help you. I know there's a couple ex-criminals in here, maybe one or two of you, a couple, probably in the back row somewhere. Everybody looks back, sees Marcelo. I don't know about you. Do you think the more gun laws they make, the less guns criminals are going to have? No. Matter of fact, gun laws are for people that obey the law. And they take your guns away, while people that shouldn't have guns are the ones that have more guns. All that law does is condemn them if they get caught. It doesn't do nothing. The law, just because the law is there, doesn't make you law-abiding. It just points to your wrong. That's all it does. So the laws of Moses, same thing. Verse 9, for if there was glory in the ministry of condemnation, right, because that's how

you get condemned, by breaking the law. He says, then the ministry of righteousness must far exceed it in glory. Because here's the thing, I always say to people, I've met so many pastors that don't see this and don't realize it, but the fact is this, is that they can confuse the congregation. Because a pastor will, in the same sermon, preach from Mount Sinai and preach from Mount Calvary. Let me explain. Mount Sinai was where you received law, and it condemns you. It brings down condemnation, it brings down what you shouldn't do, and most of us do those things anyways, so it condemns you. Mount Calvary, where Jesus was crucified, sets you free. And the problem with a lot of ministers and pastors, and I try to say this every single time, I'm like, quit confusing, quit being a double-minded person teaching double-minded teachings. Make up your mind. Are you going to preach from Mount Sinai and teach nothing but death, or are you going to let people know how to be set free? Now, I myself, I'd rather preach from Mount Sinai. And I learned this a long time ago, man. You know, one time I was out in the yard, and there was people that would come when I would preach, and they would be like, man, I like when you preach, I like when you, what do you preach? I said, I preach every Thursday, 7 o'clock, right here in the yard, every single Thursday. They'd show up. Other brothers would preach, and they wouldn't stop. And I started to feel bad for my brothers. And one time, this guy came, and he goes, man, I'd love to hear you. I said, can I ask you why? He says, well, he says, you know, I already know I'm a sinner. He says, I already know.

I wake up in prison. Every moment of my waking life is a reminder of what I did wrong. I don't need somebody to tell me I did wrong. I already know I did wrong. He says, what I want to hear. He says, here's somebody tell me how to be set free. I want to be set free. And I think that's the thing, is that we sometimes talk about death and hell so much, and yes, there's place for that. But don't ever let Satan, demons, all that stuff outweigh the gospel of Jesus Christ, and the chains that he breaks, and the spirit of God, and the power of the living God. This is what I'm talking about. I'm not going to live on Mount Sinai. I'm trying to preach from Mount Calvary. Everybody knows we're lost. We know we're lost. We're being in denial, but we know we're lost. Man, show me the way. Verse 10, indeed in this case, what once had glory has come to have no glory at all, because the glory that surpasses it. For if what was being brought to an end came with glory, much more will what is permanent have glory. If we turned every single light off in this place, which is completely black, everything, and if one person lit a match, it would give us light. We would be thankful for that light, right? Because if not, we'd be bumping into each other. Your eyes would adjust, and that match would actually light this room in a way where you can maneuver around, and you'd be like, man, you'd be so thankful for that match.

But then somebody turns the LED light on, on their beanie. I got one of those, right? Somebody turns on that. I don't know what you guys are using. I'm using it when I barbecue and it's getting dark, and I can make sure I can see the carne asada. So we'll be so thankful for the match, but the moment the LED light came on, you're just like, man, I don't care about that match. That match ain't doing nothing. This is what Paul is saying. He says, yes, there was light in the law. It brought light. It brought light and condemnation to those that needed to know what they needed to do or what not to do. He says, but when the king of glory came, there was no reason for that light, because he started to shine the places in the darkness. He came to do something greater. His glory came to do something much more. Let me read that again in 10. Now you're going to read it differently. Indeed, in this case, what once had glory, the match, has come to no glory at all because of the glory that surpasses it. For if what was being brought to an end came with glory, much more will what is permanent have glory. Just keep going. Since we have such a hope, we are very bold. Not like Moses, who put a veil over his face

so the Israelites might not gaze at the outcome of what's being brought to an end, but in their minds, their minds are being hardened. For to this day, when they read the old covenant, that same veil remains unlifted, because only through Christ is it taken away. What is he saying? He said it was too much for them, and they didn't want it, so they wanted to cover the glory of God. And people that come into religion now, they want to live like that also. They want to live covered. They're like, I don't want to talk to God. Let the pastor talk to God, and I'll just show up on Sunday. Don't be that kind of Christian. Don't be the kind of Christian that says, I want to know what God is saying, but it's too much. It's too much, because remember, first comes sacrifice, then comes the cleansing, and then comes the sealing, but you don't want to do all that. Why should I do that? Let the pastor do it, and I'll just hear what God is saying to the pastor. In other words, what you were saying, you're like, I don't want to see his glory. Don't let your mind be hardened.

Verse 15, To this day, whenever Moses is read, a veil lies over their hearts. But when one turns to the Lord, that veil was removed. The Lord said, I am not going to come into your life so you can walk around hiding your Christianity, hiding who it is that you are, hiding who it is you serve. I want you to take that thing. Don't hide under the tree. Don't hide under a table. I want you to let the whole world see the glory that's on your face. Don't hide it anymore. If the people are afraid, let them be afraid. If demons run, let them run. Don't live your life, you know, it's like everybody else is coming out the closet, and the Christian wants to hide in the closet. Yeah, I said it. Verse 17, He says, Now the Lord is a spirit. And where the spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. Jesus didn't come just so you can talk in tongues and run in the aisles. That's a beautiful thing. It's a beautiful thing for the power of God to come.

But he came to seal you, to set you free, for freedom to come into the place, for the veil to be torn off, so the world can see who lives in you. And we all with unveiled face, with unveiled face, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord. Yeah, devil, I ain't hiding. Yeah, devil, I ain't hiding nothing. I'm not hiding nothing. I'm going to say Jesus on this. stage. I'm going to say Jesus on this pulpit. I'm going to proclaim him. That's why I tell people Satan likes church. Just keep the Lord's Jesus name out of it. With our money says in God we trust. What God do you trust? Because my God has a name. The name that's above every name. That every knee shall bow, confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. Hmm. And we all with unveiled face beholding the glory of the Lord. We are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the spirit. You know when you have um those those uh the the things that glow. I remember my kids get into little stars and the moons you put it in their bedroom and you leave the light on and that way when they go to sleep they can look at the stars. But after a while what happens? They start to fade away. So when things have glory it fades away. And this is what this scripture is saying. He says man the glory that you have yesterday is going to be even brighter the next day and brighter the next month and brighter the next year. It's going to keep growing. It doesn't diminish. It doesn't go away. It just keeps getting brighter and brighter and brighter because it's the glory of God. Man that deserves a drink. Water. We're coming back to those flowers though. What? Amen. Ephesians chapter 1. Verse 13 and 14. Ephesians chapter 1 verses 13 and 14. Let me know when you have it. Some of you are quick. All right. Look what Paul says to the church in Ephesus. Ephesians 1 13 and 14. Ready? It says in him talking when it says him it's not about Jesus. In Jesus you also

when you heard the word of truth the gospel of your salvation. See some of us we heard it in the gospel. Some of us heard it in a church. In a revival. In a conference. In a jail cell. In a hospital bed. In an alley. In front of 7-eleven. Wherever it is that you heard he says when you heard the word of truth the gospel. You know gospel means the good news. The good news of your salvation. You heard the gospel and when you heard the gospel you believed in him. You were sealed. You were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit. Spirit. So I didn't have to go to seminary school to get sealed first. I didn't have to memorize the Bible to get sealed first. I didn't have to learn how to talk and walk like a Christian before. I didn't have to go to church and tie the whole bunch of money first. It says here that when you receive the gospel the good news of your salvation and believed in him you were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit. So that means if you have accepted your life to Jesus Christ and completely gave your life to him guess what? You are sealed. Holy Ghost don't come in portions. He comes as a person. He is in you and some of you are saying well I don't feel like it though. Really? Well you know I have seen my dad on a tractor lay out a whole field of tomato seeds and the next day dad where's the tomatoes? Oh they're there. All right. Next day dad I think you did something wrong. I don't see any tomatoes. A week later. Yeah my dad don't know what he's doing. I think he wrote the Bible wrong. I don't know what he's doing. I think he wrote tractor and the seed thrower was empty because I don't see nothing. But then the irrigators come and they start to pour water and they start to pour water and they start to pour water and after a few weeks I wake up one day and I see a little like a little green fuzz across that whole field and like whoa that's crazy get closer little tiny blade of grass and I start to see those little blades of grass across the entire field all of us when you gave your life to the Lord you have been sealed because you were washed and when you were washed he wanted to make sure that you were completely clean sanded you down did everything he says oh now I'm gonna seal you

but see some of us don't realize that you have the seed but ain't no water in you the Bible says that reading of the word is watering you you want to know why your seed ain't growing maybe you got to get in your Bibles more maybe you got to get in prayer more maybe you got to get into some worship more Lord I want you to rain upon me Lord God I just want you to rain irrigate me Lord let this place flood with your glory when you heard the word of truth the gospel of your salvation you believed in him you were sealed with the promise Holy Spirit verse 14 I love this who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it to the praise of his glory what does that mean it means this is that you know when you buy something and a Best Buy and they're like you want to pay an extra 50 bucks for this $20 thing and you can get a two-year or five-year warrant guarantee on it you're like 50 bucks it cost me 20 and well thank the Lord man because his guarantee his warranty comes automatically the moment he gives you his spirit and he seals you he puts a seal he puts a stamp on your forehead and and and all of a sudden you start to live this Christian life but he stamped you he sealed you now if I get a piece of wood and all of a sudden I put a stamp and then I seal it can I rub it off ah that's right USDA so I can go through life sealed by the Spirit of God if I truly believed him if I truly have saved if I truly received him I'm sealed with the promise who is the guarantee of our inheritance when until we acquire possession of it to the praise of his glory in other words you know I'm gonna walk through this life I'm gonna go however many years or months or even days I have in this world but all I know is I have a guarantee that when I step in front of him he's not gonna say I don't know you I depart from me I don't know you the Lord is gonna say hey I know you I don't matter of fact David's name is on page 5,235 and it's the 20 names down I see his name I remember when I wrote his name come and dine with me for eternity because you have been sealed you can't stand before God well I know I could read all 66 books I

can recite them all I can do this I got my tithing record right here in my back pocket he's like no no no I don't care about that stuff do you have the seal let me see your warranty Romans chapter 8 there's like two more hours and I promise will be done you know it might be a part six Romans chapter 8 verse 5 through 9 I love the fact that Abraham put these lights up because we can actually read our Bibles in church and not just read one verse at the beginning of the sermon and never mention the Word of God again we want to be a Bible reading and believing Church Romans 8 5 says this for those who live according to the flesh set their minds on things of the flesh but those who live according to the Spirit Spirit. Set their minds on things of the spirit. So we've got to make up our mind. Always struggling, thinking about the things of the world. The Bible says that exactly, we're hidden places in Christ Jesus. I'm like, so where are you going to operate from? You're going to be down here in the flesh, fighting devils every single inch? Or are you going to be up high dropping bombs? I'm in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Man, I ain't fighting you devil, I'm just dropping bombs. That's right. For those who live according to the flesh, set their minds on things of the flesh. For those who live according to the spirit, set their minds on things of the spirit. For to set the mind on the flesh is death.

But to set the mind on the spirit is life and peace. For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God's law. Indeed, it cannot. Do you realize your flesh will never enter heaven? And it knows that. It has a short time for pleasure while it's here. Your flesh could care less where your soul goes, because your flesh is going to the dirt, ashes to ashes, dust to dust. Think about that. Your flesh could care less where you spend eternity. So why is it that we let the flesh lead? That makes no sense. For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God's law. Indeed, it cannot. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God. But then he says, you, however, oh, you ain't in the flesh. You're in the spirit. If, in fact, the spirit of God dwells in you, does the spirit of God dwell in you? Who's leading who? Because anyone that's, it says here, anyone who does not have the spirit of Christ does not belong to him. What? So if I join a church, I can't get it to heaven? You ain't sealed. If I tithe, I ain't going?

Not if you don't got the seal. Why do you think Jesus says you cast demons out in my name? You laid hands on the sick, but I don't know you. You can have the greatest mystery of deliverance, greatest mystery of healing, the greatest mystery of this or that or whatever it is, and the whole time, he not even know you. It is more important to know him than anything else. It is more important. Sharing the gospel is important, but what good is it sharing the gospel if I'm not coming into his presence and being poured into? Because if I have nothing poured into me, how can I pour into the congregation? I don't know about you, but I don't want to waste a Sunday to hear somebody that has nothing to pour out. I want the spirit of God to come over me. OK, so we're sealed. So what do we do now? OK, we get it, right? As a congregation, we get it. So what does that mean? It means many things. Number one, the Bible says that you are ambassadors. That's a heavy title. Jesus didn't bring you into the kingdom so you can be a spiritual janitor. He came to you so you can conquer anything demonic that comes across. You are ambassadors.

You know what an ambassador is? It's somebody that represents his kingdom. And the ambassador leaves his nation or kingdom and goes into another place, and he says, hey, I'm representing my nation or my kingdom. And I'm here to represent. I don't live by your laws. I don't abide by your laws because I don't live in your nation. I have an embassy here, and I'm an ambassador, but I answer to where I come from. That's interesting because the Bible says that we are ambassadors. So the laws of this land don't apply to us in that sense. That's why I had to do away with that mentality, that gang mentality, that prison mentality. And they're like, oh, man, homeboys don't do that. I said, well, I ain't a homeboy. That whole stuff, all the street rules and this and that, whatever, that doesn't apply to me because the Bible says that I'm an ambassador of somewhere else, and those laws apply to me. Your laws don't apply to me. Right. Right. Amen. Amen. Amen. You are ambassadors. You're ambassadors.

called to fight. You were sealed by God. Jesus says that the gates of hell will not prevail against the church. You were called to destroy the works of the enemy. You're called to tear down demonic strongholds. We don't fight against flesh and blood, but against principalities in high places. That's who you are. So live like it and walk like it. Last week, we ended with the baptism of the Holy Ghost and the Spirit of God taking hold of your mouth. That's where we ended last week. And I used the instance of James because he says that if you put a bit in the mouth of a giant horse, and even though that horse is muscular, if you can get the bit, you can control where the mouth, where the horse is going to go. And it says, and even in James, it says you can have a small rudder and back of a giant ship and that little tiny propeller can turn the entire ship, even though it's something massive and something big. And in the same way, that's what we're talking about tongues last week, because I said, a lot of times God has to take control of your mouth so he can lead you like a horse. And many places, they talk like speaking in tongues is the pinnacle of gifts. Ooh, you spoke in tongues. That's just the highest thing. You're super Christian now. I might as well just give you a cape. You know, like your wife's mad at you, give her a cape. What's this for? Well, you're mad. Now you can be super mad. You know, like, I'm just joking. Don't hit me with the frying pan. She heard a frying pan joke about a wife hitting, and she laughed and laughed. I'm like, you're laughing a little too much in that joke. We talk like tongues is the pinnacle of all gifts. Like that's the ceiling. Let me tell you something, man. Tongues is the floor. Tongues is the foundation. But let's be honest, man. Most of us are crazier than horses to tame. Don't ever think of tongues as the ceiling, because then you limit yourself. Think of tongues as the foundation that he finally got the bit in your mouth. And now that he got you, he can take you anywhere he wants you to go. Why do you think the Lord, and we see in the scripture that he, he touches the tongue with fire. So this is what happens. We, we, we let the Lord allow the seed of the gospel to grow and, and, and come out of us like living water. And when we allowed to, for the Lord to take control of our mouth, when we allow him and loose ourselves, then he says, now I can maneuver you. Now you can be a war horse for me. Now you can go into battles. Now you can go where I need you to go. Now demons will tremble. Now demonic strongholds will fall down. Now witches won't know how to deal with you. Why? Because all demons see is a Christian, a man or a woman

that's controlled by God, by your mouth. Remember what I said in the very beginning. Jesus is truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do and greater works than these will he do because I am going to the father. But we must do this together as one united under the name of Jesus. He's the head and we're the body. See, we need each other. There's no lone range of Christians. I need you. You need me. We need each other. By itself, this is a flower. But amongst many, it's a garden. Look at that. This is what the Lord wants to do for you today. He wants to bring you into the garden. He doesn't want you to do it alone because together we can be unstoppable. We can be unstoppable in Modesto because you are filled. You are set apart. You're filled with his glory. His name rests on the throne of your heart. You are sealed. You are his and we as together as a The church are called to reach the world. Remember in the beginning of the series, I quoted the verse that said that the spirit of God hovered over the darkness and the void? And God said, let there be light, and there was light. That's what scripture says. What's interesting, because Genesis says that we were made in the image of God. What does that mean? And that's why we're called to hover over the darkness. Because of the spirit of God that lives inside of us. We're not called to be light, so we can all hang out and be light when the rest of Modesto is in darkness. We are called to be light because the spirit of God is in us, and because he hovered in the darkness back then in the very beginning, and now that same spirit lives in us, he causes us to go and hover over the darkness. Why do you think, that's why the great commission is to go out and preach the gospel, to bring light where there's darkness. Letter after letter after letter after letter of people saying that they, there's so many people that say, man, I haven't cried in 15 years, but all of a sudden, there was something going on in the worship, and all of a sudden, it started to stir my heart, and all of a sudden, the spirit of God came over me. That's why many are getting saved, because the darkness of this world cannot fight against the light of Christ. Let's all stand. We're gonna, I know there's a few people that are gonna be baptized. but make sure you have your communion with you, but don't start yet until we have communion. But I have another declaration. You know how we do the Bible declaration, lift our Bibles up? Y Noemí dijo a sus dos nueras, andad, volveos cada una a la casa de su madre. Jehová haga con vosotras misericordia como la habéis hecho con los muertos y conmigo. Os conceda a Jehová que halléis descanso cada una en casa de su marido. Luego las besó y ellas alzaron su voz y lloraron. Y le dijeron, ciertamente nosotras iremos contigo a tu pueblo. Noemí respondió, volvé, vuélvanse, hijas mías, para que habéis de ir conmigo, para que han de ir conmigo.

Tengo yo más hijos en el vientre que pueden ser vuestros maridos. Volveos, hijas mías, y idos, porque yo ya soy vieja para tener marido. cielos y la tierra continuamos les voy a contar una historia impactante que hasta el día de hoy se cuenta alrededor del mundo y esta historia cuando yo la escuché impactó mi corazón y es una historia de un perro que se llamaba hachiko en japón en ingleses hachi dice la historia de hachiko símbolo eterno de lealtad en la ruidosa ciudad de tokyo cada día en la estación de tren estación que se llamaba shibuya un perro esperaba pacientemente a su dueño no era una espera cualquiera era un acto silencioso de amor que se repartiría durante casi 10 años ese perro era hachiko un akita nacido en 1923 fue adoptado por el profesor hidesaburo un burro hidesaburo así se dice bueno hidesaburo bueno bueno quien cada mañana tomaba el tren rumbo a su trabajo y cada tarde regresaba a casa donde hachi lo recibía moviendo la cola fiel y puntual pero un día de 1925 el profesor sufrió un derrame cerebral en su lugar de trabajo y no volvió hachi sin entender la ausencia regresó a la estación al día siguiente Y al día siguiente, y al día siguiente, y al día siguiente. Y si nosotros no somos leales al que nos creó, entonces, ¿qué queremos de Dios? ¿Estaremos buscando de Dios cada día, como el perro iba cada día a esperar a su amo? ¿Tendremos la lealtad de poder seguir a Dios en medio de lo que estemos pasando en la vida? ¿Sean los problemas, sean las luchas, sean las batallas de la vida? Porque hay batallas, créemelo. Esto me recuerda a las sagradas escrituras. En 1 Corintios capítulo 13, donde habla del amor, versículo 7 dice, Todo lo sufre, todo lo cree, todo lo espera, y todo lo soporta. Y vaya que este perro todo lo soportó, porque aún lloviendo, ahí estaba esperando a su amo. Aún neviando, ahí estaba ese perro esperando a su amo. No le hace el clima que fuera, el perro día tras día seguía esperando a su amo. ¿Sabes? Nosotros a veces, como seres humanos creados por Dios, a veces nos olvidamos de la lealtad. Y hoy es el mensaje de hoy, la lealtad. ¿Amén? La lealtad. Tenemos que tener lealtad con nuestro Dios, que nos formó en el vientre de nuestra madre,

que en su pensamiento tú estabas. Y ahora estás vivo, porque Dios pensó en ti. Estaremos dispuestos nosotros a sufrir. Estaremos dispuestos a creer. Estaremos dispuestos a esperar. Y por último, estaremos dispuestos a soportar. Nuestra lealtad con Dios es una lealtad que dejará un legado profundo a nuestros hijos. Créemelo. Solamente tú sabes. El legado más importante que tú puedes dejar es como tú fuiste leal a Dios. Ese es el mejor legado que podemos dejarle a nuestros hijos. ¿Están de acuerdo? Tal vez tú o yo no tengamos mucho que dar, pero algo que sí podemos darle a nuestros hijos es un legado.

But Jonathan, his son, he wanted Jonathan to be the next king. And that's why he was jealous of David. But you know, Jonathan, bound to the soul of David, he did not look at that. He saw that David had to be king. He did not feel pride in his heart and say, no, I have to be king. No, he was looking for the best way for God to fulfill what he was going to fulfill in David.
