So if you hear the fire drills going off please don't be alarmed. It is scheduled practice in the event that there ever was an emergency that the students and the teachers would know how to respond for the parents here in the sanctuary. If there ever was an emergency you would be notified and we would ask that you exit through the exit doors here on the east side of the building and you'll be meeting your children out front. So if you hear the fire drill the fire alarms going off today just relax. It's scheduled. OK. Beyond that we want to go into today's announcements. What are they. So we are doing. We're starting a new cycle of this the discipleship classes. Today is the introduction.
So it's class number one of a six class series. You may have seen everyone coming up here on a graduation day. These classes are also available in our school app. So if you're part of our family that tunes in online don't think that you have to miss out because you don't. You can join the school app and not only are these discipleship classes available to you but there's also many other classes available on that app as well. But you can also show up and see if there's any availability for you the day of as well. So thanks. Then we have women's discipleship. Our next get together is going to be July 31st. And. Yeah. So let's introduce ourselves. Pando Adobo. We're so glad you're tuning in. Everyone that's online joining us. We're glad you're a part of House of Rest today. Thank you. Amen to all those that are watching on their screens. God bless you. Thank you for being a part of this service today. Appreciate each and every one of you. Amen. Good morning everyone. God bless you. Welcome to the House of Rest Church. Before we're at church we are a family. It's good to see each and every one of you on this Sunday morning. It's going to be another hot one today. And but it is what it is. We chose to live here. But yeah good morning. It's good to see everybody. And I just want to just remind you that we believe in missions here. We believe in missions, order missions. It's the three ministries here. Grace International is almost 6,000 churches around the world. Most of Grace International churches are outside of the United States. But these are the three that we choose to support. I wish we could support more. I wish we could support them all, but these are the three that Pastor George in India, Pastor Thomas in Nigeria and Pastor Moses in Uganda. They always try to make their way this way, especially Thomas and Moses and come and visit us all the time and all we ask is three dollars a person, three dollars a week and those dollars add up and every quarter we send it to them. Grace International does not keep anything. Whatever it is we send is exactly what they get on that end and it's just a huge blessing to be able to be a blessing for them, you know, and what God is doing in each of their
ministries in their country. So whenever you do your offering, the tithing, your envelope or whatever, always make sure to put three dollars. God will bless you for it and also the offering and the tithing. Again, thank you so much. We have been going for 15 years now, you know, and it's a blessing. It's a privilege to be able to preach to you, to have a place for our children, to have a place of discipleship, to have a place of comfort or a place that we can call home, you know, and the only way this happens is all of us do it collectively together and I know sometimes we hear that and we think, oh they're talking to the person, they're talking to somebody else, not me. No, it takes all of us, all of us to do it and without all of us then we can't do it, you know. So we're gonna bow our heads and we're gonna pray for the missions, we're gonna pray for the offering. Lord God, we thank you first of all for missions. We thank you for everything that you do in those ministries, Lord. Every single thing, Lord God. I pray that you keep them safe. I pray, Lord God, that they continue to preach your gospel to reach as many people, Lord God, as you send to them. Not only that, Lord God, but we pray for all the Grace International ministries all over around the world and all the ministries that are not part of Grace International around the world. We pray for our house, Lord God. We thank you, Lord God. We never want to take it for granted, Lord God, of what it is that you have given us from a basement to a storefront, from a warehouse to this, Lord God. Let us not have a heart, Lord God, that we grow calloused, that we appreciate what it is that you have given to us, Lord, because it is a gift from you to have a place, Lord God. I pray for every single dollar, every single penny, Lord God. Not only that, but I pray for the jobs of those that are here, future jobs, for doors to open. I pray for their businesses also, Lord God. I pray for promotions in their jobs because, Lord God, you know the things that we need to sustain our lives, our families, our marriages, our homes, our health, and our church, and we just thank you for this opportunity, Lord. We love you, Lord, and let everything that we do be done unto you because we don't do this for each other. We do it for you, Lord God, and let us never, ever forget that, Lord. We thank you in Jesus' name. Amen. in every mind because i know there is peace within your presence i speak jesus and i just want to speak the name of jesus till every dark addiction starts to break declaring there is hope and there is freedom and i speak jesus

This is my bible. It is god's word to me My guide and my strength I bring it ready to learn I open it with faith in jesus I live it with courage without it. I grow weak With it I grow strong Today I bring it
Believe it and obey it In jesus name Amen All right It's good to see everyone here Uh today's uh message Is titled have you started singing yet? Have you started singing yet because freedom has a sound And uh, we're going to be talking about this it's it's last week I I did a sermon titled the promise the process and victory and In that message. I wanted to elaborate On something that that just kind of came to my mind actually as I was preaching that last week So you can consider this a a spin-off um from that message Um from that message Uh, because I believe that it's important for us to grasp in in our walk in christ you know, so It's a it's a message that stands on its own. But in a sense you could say it's a spin-off from last week and uh, you know The lord has been Has been Doing something in america And a lot of times it seems that when god is doing something it seems as if either god is going to lose or God is not paying attention Uh, but he knows everything that's going on
He and he's always on top of everything And regardless of how things look Doesn't necessarily mean how things are because our god is a victorious god. Our god does not lose Our god is not afraid There is nothing that supersedes him. He is above all things. He speaks and the mountains tremble And we have to understand that and know that uh, because a lot of times, um, I think we get stuck There's this thing called the sally port A sally port is basically This door opens it lets you in but before the second door opens that door closes in order for you to get out the second door And that's called a sally port So in a sense you're either in this room or you want to be on that side of the room But many times we're stuck in the middle in our christian walk And not realizing it That we get stuck there And and that becomes our comfort zone and we end up worshiping god inside the sally port But Not where god took you from and not where god wants you to be but we get stuck there And we just start living our christian life there And and we don't realize it and we think that is normal But that is not normal You know and um In the book of revelation chapter 15 If we can go there and this is where we'll be starting off For those that don't know, it's in the back of the book. Revelation chapter 15, verse 2 and 3. Revelation chapter 15, verses 2 and 3. I'll go ahead and read it. Now, you got to remember that the book of Revelation
is the Apostle John. He was on the island of Patmos. He was basically thrown there as a punishment. He would not stop preaching about Jesus. And because of that, he was hated. He was actually thrown into boiling oil twice to shut him up, and it didn't kill him. And he just kept on preaching. And finally, they're like, we're going to banish him to the island of Patmos. And as John is on the island, he has this vision. And that's where we get the book of Revelation. So this is some of the vision that he saw in 2 and 3, chapter 15. He says, and I saw what appeared to be a sea of glass mingled with fire, and also those who had conquered the beast and its image and the number of its name, standing beside the sea of glass with harps of God in their hands. And they sing the song of Moses, the servant of God and the song of the Lamb, saying, great and amazing are your deeds, O Lord God the Almighty. Just and true are your ways, O King of the nations. These are lyrics. Who will not fear, O Lord, and glorify your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship you, for your righteous acts have been revealed. Why is the book of Revelation?
Why is the Apostle John talking about Moses? Why is he mentioning that here at the end of the book? It's like this whole thing from Genesis all the way through Revelation. And it's interesting here that it says that they sing the song of Moses. And I find that very interesting. I'll tell you why. Because did you know that in the Bible, the first written song that says it's a song is actually something that happened after they crossed the Red Sea? That's the first mention that it says this is a song. I understand. Like, I think you talked about Adam, that when he sang to Eve, it was a song. But it doesn't say that. But where it actually says in the Bible, the first time a song is sung is after they crossed the Red Sea. And I find that interesting, because here we see in the book of Revelation that at the end of all things, because we just read verse 2, where it says that once they had conquered the beast and the image and the number of its name, 666, that they started to sing this song. And I kind of want to make that the basis of what we're going to talk about today, because we don't want to be Christians that are stuck in the sally port. We don't want to be the Christians that are stuck in the wilderness.
We don't want to be the Christians that are just on idle, or a hamster on a wheel, doing all kinds of work, but getting nowhere. You know, Moses was an interesting person, and we've been talking about him here and there a lot lately, it feels like. But Moses came at a time when Israel was enslaved. The Hebrews were enslaved by Egypt and the Pharaoh. Pharaoh was the king of Egypt. And many years had passed. We talked about it last week. The promise was given to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob. But then, next thing you know, they were in slavery in Egypt. There was no sight of the promised land. There was no sight of the promises. There was no sight of victories. There was no sight of anything. And the people were enslaved, and that's all they knew. The generation, after generation, after generation, that's all they knew. See, some of you, you weren't raised in a Christian home. Your dad was an alcoholic. Your mom was a drug addict. And your grandpa, so. was he, and your uncle, so were they. And so you're just going along with what you know, because that's all your family's ever known. Because there is nothing else. Many of you grew up in poverty because that's all you know.
You don't know nothing else. All you know is Section 8 housing. All you know is EBT or food stamps. All you know are those things, and you don't know anything else. Because that's what mom taught you, and dad taught you, and grandpa, and uncles, and aunts. And so we're stuck in this sally port of never getting anywhere, never getting ahead, because there's nobody in your past that can explain to you how to get ahead because they've never gone ahead. So all they can give you is what they have. And my gosh, I have, and sometimes it's not out of bad intentions. You know, my aunt, who's with the Lord now, she lived in the camp in Ceres, right there by Ceres High. She worked at the canneries. That's all she knew. And it's not as if she didn't have a heart to try to get out of there. She was just stuck there because the education wasn't there. The language barrier wasn't there. It was a language barrier there and whatnot. So because of that, so but the thing is that she raised my cousin. And my cousin says, I'm going to get you out of here, mom. And she worked at that KFC right off of Whitmore. My cousin worked there for years and years. But let me say this, that she would promise my aunt, I'm going to get you out of the projects.
I'm going to get you out of the projects. I'm going to get you out of the project. If it's the last thing I do, I'm going to get you out. And she ended up going to school, became a lawyer. And she battled, actually, against one of the biggest firms here in Modesto and won. And you know what that firm did? They said, can you be on our team? And she refused at first. She's like, no, I don't like what you stand for. And they're like, we'll give you a brand new car. We'll do this. She goes, I don't care what you're going to give me. But then my aunt got sick. My aunt got sick, really sick. And I'm simplifying the story, but my cousin realized this was the way out for my aunt. And she went ahead and said, you know what? I'm going to let my pride down. I'll work at your firm. And she bought a house and got her out of the projects. Months later, she passed. Didn't get to enjoy it. So it's, I'm not putting down if all you know are these things of the world, because if that's all you know, that's all you know. So how can you pass on to your children what you don't have? And these were the Hebrew people. They were enslaved for so many years. They didn't know how to live outside of slavery.
And that's the honest truth. You don't know how to live outside of it. We don't know how to live outside of whatever it is that we grew up in. And we don't know what to do. But here comes Moses, and God speaks to him in a burning bush. And he sees a burning bush, and God speaks to him through that bush that was burning, but not consumed. And God basically told him, Moses, I have called you to free my people, because I have called you to free my people. I have called you to free my people, because I've heard their cry. And Moses was like, what am I going to do? And he says, you tell them. You tell Pharaoh that I sent you. Who are you? Who do I say? Who do I say to Pharaoh who sent me? And God says, I am that I am. You know, and God's saying that. He says, I am all things. I am everything. And he says, well, OK, I'll tell him that. But how are you going to let my people? What are you going to do? Are you going to give me weapons, a machine gun, a nuclear bomb?
What? What's going to happen? How am I going to cause Pharaoh, the greatest king at this time, to release the Hebrew people? And he says, what do you have in your hand? He's like, a stick, a staff. And he says, use that. Use what's in your hand. What do you mean? And he says, throw it down. He threw it down, and it turned into a snake. And he says, grab it by the tail. And he picked it up by the tail, and it turned into a staff all over again. And he says, put your hand inside of your shirt. And he did. And it came out, and it was full of disease. And he says, put it back. Boom, and it came out whole. He says, Moses, you're not going in your own power. You're going in my power. And you're going to use whatever it is that you have in your hand. Because here's the honest truth is most of us, we come to Christ. We want to do whatever we can. We want to evangelize. We want to share the gospel. We want to do things. Maybe we don't have an education. We don't have a vocabulary. Maybe we don't even have a vehicle.
And God says, what do you have in your hand? And here's the thing, the fact is that most of us have nothing. But God will still use the little bit of what you have. Why do you think you don't? You are walking around with a computer in your pocket. It costs nothing. Hey, I just want to share the gospel right now. I just came out of addiction, or I just came out of prison, or I just whatever it is. Boom, and it sends it out. You just use the staff in your hand. Didn't cost you nothing. You have a way to talk. You're always conversating with people. Use that. But Moses was chosen to deliver his people, called by God. He was given orders. He went to confront Pharaoh. And God moved on Moses' behalf with the staff that was in his hand. And as we know the story, all the plagues happened. Everything happened. And the water turned to blood, and locusts came. I mean, just all kinds of different plagues happened. And finally, the angel of death came, killed the son of Pharaoh. And Pharaoh was fed up with the Hebrews, fed up with Moses. And he's like, get your people out of here. So Moses gathered the people, and they left free. They left bondage. They left affliction. They left their past.
They left slavery. And they went. And they traveled. Families, husbands, wives, children, grandparents. And they finally, after 400 and plus years, they were finally free. You know what's wild is the fact that many times when you were set free, there are people that have been confined for so long, they don't know how to function in a free world. It's called institutionalized. Because it was so easy, because you know where your bed is. You know you're going to get breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You know when you wake up. You know when you go to sleep. You know when you can take a shower. You know everything. And all of a sudden, you're thrown out into the free world. You don't know how to do anything. You don't even have an ID. You don't have a social security. You don't even know how to write a resume. You've been institutionalized. You don't even know how to react with people or talk to people or socialize with people. These Hebrews came out of slavery, didn't know how to be. They had nobody to tell them. But all Moses knew was to bring the people back to that same mountain where he saw the burning bush. And he says, bring them back here so I can speak to them. But as they were on their way over there, Pharaoh, who kicked them all out, angry because his son died,
he's sitting there and he's like, did I just let my workforce go? I have projects to build. I got things to do. Why did I let my slaves go? He calls up his commanders, calls up his generals. And he says, you know what, guys? I take it back. Go get my slaves back. Bring my property back to me. They belong to me. Bring them back to me. Bring them back into captivity. Bring them back into slavery. Because it serves me good when they serve me. Go and get what belongs to me. And the armies go after the Hebrews. As they traveled with Moses, they were traveling. He was trying to get them to Mount Sinai, to the mountain that had the burning bush. And they came across because they started to realize that there was some dust rising. And they knew that it was Pharaoh and his armies. And what ended up happening was they kind of got backed into a corner. Because in front of them was the Red Sea. On the left of them was this rocky mountain range. On the right of them was a rocky mountain range. So all they can do was go up there and die. Go up there and die. Go straight and drown.
get taken back into captivity and there was nowhere for them to go. And they're just there in a corner with nowhere to go. In Exodus chapter 14, verse 13. Actually, Exodus 14, one. Exodus chapter 14, verse one to 13. It says, then the Lord said to Moses, he says, tell the people of Israel to turn back and encamp in front of, I'm not gonna say camp, but in front of the people of Israel. Tell the people of Israel to turn back and encamp in front of, I'm not gonna try to say that word, between Migdal and sea in front of, I'm not gonna say that, you shall encamp facing it by the sea. For Pharaoh will say to the people of Israel, they're wandering in the land, the wilderness has shut them in and I will harden Pharaoh's heart and he will pursue them and I will get glory over Pharaoh and all his hosts and Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord. So it's almost like the Lord set a trap and he says, you know what? This is how you catch something, you throw some bait out. He goes, I'm gonna put you in a position where you have nowhere to turn, you can't turn right or left or go straight and I'm gonna put you in a position
where the armies of Pharaoh, the armies of Egypt think they got you locked in. Because that's what the enemy wants to do, he wants to close in on you. This is what he does. You know, we've been stuck watching Rocky movies because Rocky has a, there's a new movie coming out saying I play Rocky about Balboa and anyways, it's on Netflix, one, two, three, four, on the creeds and everything so we've been watching that and what do they do? The moment a fighter's in the corner getting pummeled, get out of the corner because once you're cornered, there's nowhere for you to go and if you get stuck in that corner, you're gonna get hurt and you're gonna lose. You can't get stuck in the corner. So it's almost right here as if he was telling them, I'm gonna put you in a corner but I love this because then he says, I will harden Pharaoh's heart and he will pursue them and I will get glory over Pharaoh and his host and the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord. Why do I say that? Because a lot of times we need to be reminded that we find ourselves in a corner, maybe, just maybe, what if it was God that placed you there because he's about to get his glory because he wants the whole world to know that he is still God and he still reigns forever.
Verse five, when the king of Egypt was told that the people had fled, the mind of Pharaoh and his servants were changed toward the people and they said, what is this we have done? We have let Israel go from serving us. So he made ready his chariot and took his army with him. 600 chosen chariots and all the other chariots of Egypt with officers over all of them and the Lord hardened the heart of Pharaoh, king of Egypt. He pursued the people of Israel while the people of Israel were going out defiantly, the Egyptians pursued them, all Pharaoh's horses and chariots and his horsemen and his army and overtook them and camped at the sea. So they saw them, they're like, oh, we got them now. There's an ocean in front of them. There's rocks on the right and left of them. We got our slaves back. Kind of like they're stuck in a sally port. They got freed out of Egypt but they can't yet cross over into the second door because here's why, because a lot of times when, remember what a sally port is. One door opens, you go in, but the second door won't open until that one closes. So the people, the slaves, the Hebrews came out and the door opened for them, but here's the thing. They're saying, how are we gonna get past it? But sometimes the back door has to close.
We live our Christian life this way because we pass from the past and we're trying to get to the future, but sometimes we don't want this door to close behind us, but we want that door to open. But we wanna keep the back door open. We wanna keep the windows open. We wanna keep the basement. open of our old life and you're wondering why you can't get through the Sally port but the whole time maybe because we need to shut the back door in order for the front door to open verse 10 when Pharaoh drew near the people of Israel lifted up their eyes and behold the Egyptians were marching after them and they feared greatly and the people of Israel cried out to the Lord a lot of times I don't know if Moses was the only one that received that word saying the people are gonna see my glory I don't know if he kept that to himself and didn't share with the people or did he share it to the people but the people even though God said that they're more afraid of what the enemy is gonna do than what God said you know so I find it interesting because at this point yeah okay they were slaves okay they didn't know how to live in in freedom but man they saw God move with all the plagues so at this point you would think there would be a little bit of faith in the Hebrews you would think there would be some kind of encouragement within them because they can say well man you know what I see the army's coming but God said he's gonna get the glory and I believe him because I saw all of these things happen and a lot of times we tend to forget I tend to forget you tend to forget that a lot of times we're stuck in a corner we're stuck in a place got nowhere to go and we forget everything that he has gotten you out of before in the previous times because we're human it's almost like man God I'm in a bind I'm in a corner I don't think you could get me out he says did you forget everything I did before do I need to remind you and sometimes let's be honest like yeah actually I do need to be
reminded I mean anybody here and ever need to be reminded or you just like walking on water sometimes we need to be reminded verse 11 says they said to Moses is it because there's no graves in Egypt that you have taken us away to die in the wilderness what have you done to us in bringing us out of Egypt they started to blame Moses why did you evangelize to me why did you tell me I was better off a slave I was better off in captivity why did you bring me out of it so we can just die out here in the wilderness so we can die in the Sallyport at least inside of there I had a bunk and some meals and I'm now I'm just here and I'm stuck and the enemy's coming after me because Pharaoh wants me back and there's nothing I can do because this door won't open the sea won't open these rocks here and I'm I would have been better off back into slavery at least I would have lived my life as a slave but at least I would have had my life verse 12 says is not this what we said to you in Egypt leave us alone that we may serve the Egyptians for it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness Moses why did you do that why did you bring us out why did you give us hope why did you encourage us for I would have been better off just dying in my sin I would have been better off dying in my addiction I would have been better off dying and whatever life that I was living before why did you give me hope so I can just come out for a little bit and see the blue skies only for the for for my slave master to take me away again it would it be it would be almost cruel if somebody was born blind and the doctor says I can give you sight for one day and then he sees the beauty of this world knowing that in 24 hours it'll go dim all over again It's almost torturous. You would think that person would say, doctor, why didn't you just leave me blind? Why didn't you leave me blind? Now I know what I missed before I didn't know. And I think we feel the same way sometimes when we come to Christ and we come to serve God
and times get hard and things get hard and you're just like, man, I was better off back in Egypt. God, why didn't you just leave me there? Because you have let me taste the good things of God and now you're taking them away. And I'm stuck. And they said these things to Moses and Moses in verse 13 says, and Moses said to the people, fear not, stand firm and see the salvation of the Lord. Fear not, stand firm and see the salvation of the Lord which he will work for you today. So Moses was encouraging them. He says, listen, I'm not talking about some fantasy. I'm not talking about something that might happen in the near future. He says, stand still and see the salvation today. It will happen today. He says, for the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall never see again. The Lord will fight for you and you have only to be silent. That's a nice way of God saying, just shut up already. Quit your complaining. Just stand still and trust me. You're over here just complaining and doing this and that, playing the little tiny violin. Just shut up and see my salvation. Watch what I do. Ultimately, guys, everything Satan does, he's not doing it to hurt us.
He wants to hurt God. He hates God. He can't touch God. So who can he touch? The children of God. But he's doing it because honestly, we're not even that important to the enemy. He could care less. But he wants to hurt God. So whose battle is it? God's. And the Lord says, today, those Egyptians you see coming after you, after today, you're not gonna see them anymore because the Lord will fight for you. And verse 15 says, the Lord said to Moses, why do you cry to me? Tell the people of Israel to go forward. So I imagine Moses was probably just like, hey, God, I mean, I don't know what's going to happen. I don't know. I mean, I'm gonna encourage them, but honestly, I'm freaking out over here, God. And the Lord's like, why are you telling me for? Why are you crying to me? You're wasting your time crying to me instead of telling the people to start walking forward. Tell them to go. And then he says, lift up your staff, that stick, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it
that the people of Israel may go through the sea on dry ground. What? That makes no sense. You're standing in front of an ocean and you're gonna point your little stick at it? And somehow these armies that are coming after us in the mountains on the right and left in this ocean, and you're telling me to just point my little stick toward it? So here's the thing, man. A lot of times we think in order for God to do something, we believe it's gotta be elaborate. It's gotta be something big. It's like, oh, if God's gonna use this church, we gotta have the best cameras. And if God's gonna use this church, we gotta have the best musicians. And if God's gonna use this church, we gotta have the best of this and the best of that. And God is like, lift up what you have and see what I do. Lift up your staff and you're gonna see that that sea is gonna divide. Verse 17 says, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians so that they shall go in after them and I will get glory over Pharaoh and all his hosts, his chariots and his horsemen. and the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord. When I have gotten glory over Pharaoh, his chariots and his horsemen.
I love that because see, here's the thing, is God says this sally port is open and you guys are complaining, talking about I think I wanna go back. So in other words, you're not letting that door close. You're leaving it open. But that one can't open until you close this one. And it's like God is like, okay, I understand that you're coming out of slavery so you probably don't understand. You are completely institutionalized. So I'll tell you what I'm gonna do. I'm going to cause this door to open and I'm gonna shut this one because clearly you can't shut it yourself. And I'm gonna close off your old life. From your new life. Because some of us, we like to have that door open still. We still wanna think that we can go back if things don't work out. Verse 19 says the angel of God who was going before the host of Israel moved and went behind them and the pillar of cloud moved from them and stood behind them. Coming between the host of Egypt and the host of Israel. And there was a cloud in the darkness and it lit up the night without one coming near the other all night. And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea. And the Lord drove the sea back by a strong east wind
all night and made the sea dry land and the waters were divided. And the people of Israel went into the midst of the sea on dry ground. The waters being a wall to them on the right hand and on their left. I love the fact of the details of the word of God. Because honestly, if it didn't say that, I would think that they were sloshing through mud. I don't know if you've ever walked in mud, but it is not easy. It would be really hard to walk through mud on the bottom of an ocean. But God says not only am I going to open the way for you that was impossible for you, I'm gonna dry the ground so you don't have to slosh through it. 23, the Egyptians pursued and went in after them into the midst of the sea. All of Pharaoh's horses, his chariots and his horsemen. And in the morning watch the Lord in the pillar of fire of cloud looked down on the Egyptian forces and threw the Egyptian forces into a panic. Clogging their chariot wheels so that they drove heavily and the Egyptians said, let us flee from before Israel for the Lord fights for them against the Egyptians. So all the people went through on dry ground, they made it to the other side and God was about to close that sally port door. And God says, watch what I'm gonna do. And the enemies of Israel, the Egyptian army came in
and started going after them and God closed the waters and drowned the enemy. Now this is my opinion, but I believe this is why Satan hates when we baptize people. Because it reminds the enemy of what happens to the enemies of God, because they get drowned. That's why I always tell people when I baptize, I said, if there's stuff here, I said, we're gonna leave it in these waters. We're gonna let it drown, we're gonna let it die. I have told people, I said, because they knew me by my old nickname and they're, hey, aren't you so and so? I'm like, nah, he died. And they're like, well, you look like him. What do you mean? I said, he drowned. They're like, oh man. I said, yeah, it was June 2007, he drowned. I said, and up came up David Rocha. I said, because all the Egyptian army died in me. We need to drown and allow those things to drown. And because here's the thing, you cannot live a victorious Christian life stuck in a sally port, or even worse, with the first door open, wondering why you can't get ahead, wondering why God isn't blessing you, wondering why things aren't happening for you. It's not that he doesn't want to, but how. Can he open the second door until the first one is shut?
It doesn't work that way Verse 26 the lord said to moses stretch out your hand over the sea the waters may come back upon the egyptians upon their chariots And upon their horsemen so moses stretched out his hand over the sea and the sea returned to its normal course When the morning appeared and as the egyptians fled into it The lord threw the egyptians into the midst of the sea The waters returned and covered the chariots and the horsemen Of all the host of pharaoh that had followed them into the area into the sea not one of them remained But the people of israel walked on dry ground through the sea The waters being a wall to them on the right hand and on the left Thus the lord saved israel that day from the hand of the egyptians And israel saw the egyptians dead on the seashore Israel saw the great power that the lord used against the egyptians So the people fear the lord and they believed in the lord and in his servant moses So All that we read isn't even the main part of what I want to get to but we had to build it up It's putting the chess pieces in place about what it is that we're talking about today Because I said the message is titled. Have you started singing yet? Because freedom has a sound But we couldn't get to that part until we got through this part Part Because we have to have a deeper understanding Of what is going on because it's interesting because of the conversation in john chapter 3 That this man nicodemus he was a religious leader He came by night to talk with jesus and he has a conversation with jesus And his name was nicodemus john chapter 3 verse 1 It says there was a man of the pharisees named nicodemus a ruler of the jews This man came to jesus by night and said to him rabbi. We know that you're a teacher from god For no one can do these signs that you do unless god is with him And jesus answered him truly truly I say to you unless one is born again. He cannot see the kingdom of god And nicodemus said to him. How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?
I Love that because basically he's just like wait a second jesus. What do you mean born again? You're saying I got to go back into my mother's womb and be born again. How can I go back that that door is closed? Now isn't this the same thing Isn't this the same thing of the red sea opening up and then the enemy being drowned? It's saying unless you go through the waters and open that door You're always going to be susceptible to the stuff that you came out of slavery from But how is it that I can't go back see When when when we have that door open in our life in our christian life Do you realize what's happening is that in essence you are stuck See people will stay in the sally port leave the door open and say oh no I'm, just you know, i'm under construction. The lord's working on me No, no, no, it's not No, don't lie to yourself You're not under construction. You just want your sally port open And then the whole time you're wondering why You're wondering why the old enemies of the past and I don't mean people I mean demons Have access to you and they're scaring you and putting fear in you and you're just like god I don't know what to do. God. I don't know what to do and he's like get out of the way You're like going to it's like going in the elevator You're wondering why you won't go up but you're standing there and the whole time the door's hitting you I don't know why it's not going up man I'm hitting fifth floor and here comes the door pong just bounces off your hip and I don't understand what's going on This is taking long. I should have been on the fifth floor And you're standing in the doorway With a bruised hip Trying to figure out why you can't get to the fifth floor, but you're the very one standing at the door God I don't know what's happening god. You say that i'm in heavenly places in christ. Jesus
Are you gonna bless me no weapon from the gets me will prosper lord god. I don't know what to do And he's like get out of the way You So this conversation that Jesus has, and he's like, Nicodemus, don't you understand? You need to be born again. I'm not talking about being born in the physical. Jesus answered, truly I say to you, unless one is born of water and the spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, right? We're born of the flesh. We're born from our mothers. Yeah, that's already done. But that which is born of the spirit is spirit. He says, Jesus says, do not marvel that I say to you must be born again. He says, the wind blows where it wishes. You hear it sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who was born of the spirit. I find that interesting that right here as Jesus is talking to Nicodemus, that he starts to begin to tell him about the Holy Spirit, about wind blowing, not knowing where it comes from or where it goes. What did we just read? What caused the sea to open? It says all night a great wind came. A great wind came and began to open the sea and began to dry the ground. And here Jesus says, there's a wind, speaking of the spirit of God, and you don't know where it comes from or where it goes. So we can't go back. It is a lie from the devil. We can't go back and he will convince you and have you live in your Christian life in the sally port with the door open.
But the fact is this, if you are truly going to walk your Christian life, that door has to shut. You got to get out of the sally port and into your freedom. See, but if we don't know that and we're not taught that, then we will forever be locked here in the middle. So one thing we got to do, guys, when we get through the sally port and not get stuck there, this is your old life. This is the life God got you out of. And we come through and the door opens. And all of a sudden we're in this place of, Lord God, I don't know what to do. I don't know how to be in freedom, God. And he says, keep going, keep going, keep going. Stand there. Boom. I will shut this door from your past. I will open this door for the new. I'm a new creation in Christ. Old things have passed away and all things become new. And we're going to walk this thing out. So we need to learn to celebrate what God has done. Don't be a complainer, always complaining all the time. Because that's another thing we notice about the Rocky movies is, is Pauly, Adrian's brother, everything was negative. He was always complaining, always. Don't be that Christian. Because if you find things to complain about, guess what, you're going to find them. You will, I promise you, you'll find them. Even your favorite restaurant, your favorite whatever, if you go enough, you're going to complain about something. And there are people that are professional complainers.
You just want to find the bad in everything. You're just a professional complainer. Learn to celebrate what God has done. Learn to say, Lord, I thank you. I might not be, Lord, in a position where I want to be, Lord God, but I have your salvation. I have life, Lord God. I have air. I have my children or my grandchildren. I am blessed, Lord God. I thank you, Lord God. I'm going to celebrate you, Lord. And I'm not saying that this is it, but this is it for today and I'm going to celebrate in what I have today. Another thing is that we need to leave Egypt behind. See, they were slaves to Egypt, but we were slaves to sin. We were enslaved. We were locked in. We were tangled up. We were chained by our past life, our past passions, our past habits, our past addictions had us all wrapped up in chains. And Jesus came and set us free and we need to finally, finally leave that behind. mind. Let that door close. Because when we read the story, as powerful as Pharaoh was, his power was nothing compared to God. It was nothing Pharaoh's power was broken. And I'm telling you right now, don't come over here telling me this. Oh, I'm a Christian and I got demons and this and that whatever. Really? So then what you're telling me then is that you're in the Sally port, or you have this door open. Because if this door has been closed, the enemy can't get to you. The Bible says that we are hidden in Christ. You think Satan's
gonna come look for you in Christ? No. How do I know that the word of God says that they tremble at his name. So another thing is that don't keep living as if your old master still owns you. That's a why do we do that as Christians? We talk as if the old master still owns you. Tell you what, next time you're with your husband or your wife. Tell them if they say something be like, man, I'd love to do that. But my ex wouldn't like that. Tell me how that works out. You can't sleep on my couch. Funny, right? We laugh, but we do that to God. We do it to God. Oh, that's just the way I am. Oh, I just you know, I got a short fuse. Oh, this is Oh, so you still belong to him then. Second Corinthians 517. Therefore, I quoted it earlier. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away. Behold, the new has come. I don't identify with my past. I don't identify with Satan or any demon that had any hold on me any chains or whatever. I don't identify with you, dude. Because when I went through the waters of baptism, you were drowned. You have no access to me because I belong to my father in heaven. I'm a new creation in Christ. Old things have passed away. You're old news. You have passed away. Look at first Peter chapter two says verse nine and 10. He says you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood. You are a holy nation. Look at this a people for his own possession. That you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. People say, Oh, I think I'm possessed by a demon. So then if you're possessed by a demon, you can't be possessed by God. You know what possession means? Like right now this remote I have possession of it. You know what that means? You don't. Because the possession is mine. So if you are saying you are possessed
by a demon, what you're saying is then that Satan has you in his hand. That goes against scripture that goes against everything we just read. I'm a new creation in Christ. Old things have passed away. All things have become new. We just said you're chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that he may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of his darkness into his marvelous light, which is once you were not a people, but now you're a God's people. Once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. What does this have to do with starting singing? What does this have to do with it? Because here's the thing. Once they crossed over, once they finally made that choice, when they came out of once they came out of the Sally port, once they allowed that door to close of the armies and all their enemies. Once all of that happened and the waters came and drowned the people, the first time in scripture, it says that they started to sing a song. They didn't sing a song when they were traveling out of sin, Egypt. They didn't sing a song when they were stuck in the Sally port. They started to sing a song when they finally closed that door, opened this door, crossed over, looked back, saw that the enemy had no effect on them, so they began to sing a song. So my question is, in your spiritual walk, have you even started singing yet? Is there a new song in your heart? Is there a new song in your soul? Is there a rejoicing that happens because the moment the Hebrews walked over,
they started to sing because worship is a sound of a delivered life. Your praise declares that God had the final victory. When you start to sing, you are letting all of the past demons know that God has the victory. There is a new song in your heart that you don't wait until tomorrow to sing. See, Egypt represents life of sin. It represents the old life. But I want you to realize something. The final plague that happened after the water turning to blood, the darkness, all those things, the last one was that the angel of death came. And the only way the firstborn of that house wouldn't be killed by the angel of death is they took a little lamb into their house and they shed its blood and put it on the doorpost of their house. And if the angel of death came to your house and saw the blood of the lamb, they would pass over your house and not hurt anyone inside. In other words, your house was covered by the blood of the lamb. Whoo! So the moment you came to the Lord, the moment you surrendered your life to the Lord, you took his blood that he shed on the cross 2,000 years ago and you put it
on the doorpost of your heart. But then everywhere you go, there's a sally port, guys. Tell me, all of a sudden you got saved that all of a sudden life became perfect after that? No, right? All of a sudden that people you betrayed, people you cheated, the moment you got saved, they're just like, oh man, you're good now. You had to prove yourself. They're just like, hey man, God might believe you, but I don't. There's a sally port season. There's a season of you left Egypt because of the blood of the lamb, but now you gotta travel this thing through. You gotta walk this thing out. So they were saved by the blood before they crossed the waters. That's important, right? Because the blood represented that they were no longer found guilty because of the sins of the people. So now you were set free and you were free, but Pharaoh still pursued them. You come to the Lord, the Lord washes you in his blood. You think Satan is not gonna go after you? Of course he's gonna go after you. He's gonna go after you with a vengeance. He's gonna come after you with everything he's got. So there's a part, there's a moment in everybody's Christian life where yes,
you've been washed, but the enemy's going to come and he's gonna come to destroy. He comes to seek, kill, and destroy. And here's the thing. If you don't pass through the waters, if you don't pass through that passage that God has, you're completely susceptible to the enemy. We are justified by the blood of Christ, yes. But many Christians still live as though Satan still owns you. That's wild to me. Lord, I'm gonna follow you only as far as Satan lets me. You know, the Bible says that God is a jealous God. There comes a moment where we have to go to the Red Sea, and the Red Sea wasn't so much about getting the people out. out of Israel, it was finally for Israel to get the Egypt out of them. That makes sense. Some of us have left our old life. We have left it, but it hasn't left us. And, and church, we got to make up our mind once and for all now. And maybe I'm not talking to nobody here. Maybe I'm talking to somebody in the camera, but the thing is, this is once those waters close, Pharaoh could never enslave you again. This is why Exodus 15 is the first recorded song in scripture. They didn't, they didn't sing when they painted the blood on the doorpost. They didn't sing when they were packing their bags. They didn't sing when they were walking out of Egypt. They sang when the enemy was finally defeated. Exodus 15, 121, Moses and the people of Israel sang this song to the Lord saying, I will sing to the Lord.
These are the lyrics. For he has triumphed gloriously. The horse and his rider he's thrown into the sea. The Lord is my strength and my song. He has become my salvation. This is my God. And I will praise him. My father's God. And I will exalt him. The Lord is a man of war. The Lord is his name. Pharaoh's chariots and his host. He cast into the sea and his chosen officers were sunk in the red sea. The floods covered them. They went down into the depths of like a stone. Your right hand, oh Lord, glorious in power. Your right hand, oh Lord, shatters the enemy and the greatness of your majesty. You overthrow your adversaries. You send out your fury. It consumes them like stubble and the blast of your nostrils, the waters piled up and the flood stood up in a heap and the deep congealed in the heart of the sea and the enemy said, I will pursue. I will overtake. I will divide the spoil. My desire shall have its fill of them. I will draw my sword, my hand shall to destroy them. But Lord, you blew with your wind and the sea covered them and they sank like lead in the mighty waters. Who was like you, oh Lord, among the gods? Who was like you?
Majestic in holiness, awesome and glorious deeds, doing wonders. You stretched out your right hand and the earth swallowed them. You have led in your steadfast love. The people whom you have redeemed, you have guided them by the strength to your holy abode and the people have heard and they tremble. Pangs have seized the inhabitants of Felicia. Now the chiefs of Edom are dismayed. Trembling seizes the leaders of Moab. All the inhabitants of Canaan have melted away. Terror and dread fall upon them because of the greatness of your arm. They are still as a stone till your people, oh Lord, pass by to the people pass by whom you have purchased and you will bring them in and plant them on your own mountain. The place, oh Lord, which you have made for your abode, the sanctuary, oh Lord, which your hands have established in the Lord will reign forever and ever. This was the song that they sang. 19 says when the horses of Pharaoh and his chariots and his horsemen went into the sea, the Lord brought back the waters of the sea upon them. But the people of Israel walked on dry ground in the midst of the sea. Then Miriam, Moses' sister, the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a tambourine in her hand and all the women went out after her with the tambourines and dancing and Miriam sang to them, sing to the Lord's for he has triumphed gloriously, the horse and his rider he has thrown into the sea. Have you started singing yet? Because freedom has a sound. It's Austin. You know, I was talking to Sharon a week ago, didn't have the sermon yet, but I told her this, I said, I don't know what the sermon is yet, but I'm going to end it with the well-known Psalm of 150. And she says, you know what?
And maybe for some of you don't know Psalm 150, you understand. And she says, can I put all the instruments out? And I completely forgot about it because I walked in, I saw the drums, I'm like, what are the drums doing here? Right. And I forgot my mind went blank. But that conversation we had last week. She said, can I put the instrument? Can I put the keyboard out? Can I put the guitars out? Can I put the drums out? She was because God is about to do something. Because we're not going to be stuck in the sally port, we're not going to be stuck with. enemy at our backs. We're going to walk through this thing and walk through this Red Sea and see the salvation of the Lord. And check this out, look what Psalm 150 says. It says, praise the Lord, praise God in the sanctuary, praise Him in His mighty heavens, praise Him for His mighty deeds, praise Him according to His excellent greatness, praise Him with the trumpet sound, praise Him with the lute and harp, praise Him with tambourine and dance, praise Him with strings and pipe, praise Him with sounding cymbals, praise Him with loud clashing cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord, praise the Lord. It's time for a house of rest to have a new song. It's time for a house of rest to see the enemies drown. It's time for the house of rest to have something new in their hearts. It's time for your family to have a new song in you. We're going to open up these altars and we're going to shout His name as loud as we can. I want you to walk through like you're walking through the Red Sea right now. Let's fill this place up right now because I want to start singing a new song. And before anything what we're going to do, these instruments are representation because I know that God is going to put together a worship team like never before. We have musicians in the house, we have musicians that aren't yet known to us yet, but we're praying that God is going to fill this place with a new song. Can our musicians come up? We want to pray for you too. If you play an instrument, I want you to come up. Just come up right here. I know that
because Ernie it's a little hard. Just right here in the front. Come up here brother. All right, that's good. Oh, we got you over here. What do you play? Huh? You play drums? You play trumpet, bass, electric, drums, guitar. Huh? What do you play? Huh? You play trumpet? Amen. Amen. We want to have a new song at House of Rest. Let's all put our hands forward to all these musicians first. Lord God, in the name of Jesus, I thank you so much, Lord God, for what you were doing. We want a new song to sing, Lord God, in the name of Jesus. I pray that you anoint their hands, Lord God. I pray that you anoint their hearts and their minds, Lord God, that everything they do, that they do it unto the Lord, Lord God. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord, Lord God. According to this, according to Psalm 150, the instruments be used to glorify you, Lord God, to show the enemy that he has been drowned, to show the enemy that he has no part of us anymore, Lord God, because we have a new song here at House of Rest. I pray for the singers, Lord God, in the name of Jesus, all those that have voices, Lord God, not only here, but in the Spanish sanctuary also, Lord God, that you send musicians over there also, Lord God, that there be a place of worship, Lord God, that people will know when they come by this place that they'll say, this is a house of prayer. This is a house of worship, Lord God. I thank you so much, Lord. Lord, I pray for all the people that walked up to me today. I pray for all the people that walked up right now, that they walk as a representation that we're finally going to close that sally port. We don't want the enemy. We want nothing to do with him. So we're going to raise our staff, Lord God, and you're going to open the Red Sea for us, and we're going to go and walk past through, Lord God, and the enemy cannot come after us, because you're going to drown the enemy. You're going to shut that enemy up, Lord God, because you are victorious, and because you are victorious, we are victorious in you, Lord God, and we're going to have a new song, Lord God. We're going to have a new song in our hearts. We're going to have a new new song in our lungs, Lord. Lord, I pray, Lord God, let the shift happen today. What it is that you have instilled in the heart, Lord God, of those that are here, Lord God, let the shifting happen today. Let the winds begin to blow. If anyone here, if you have not surrendered your life to the Lord, I don't know what

The Lord is your salvation. Stand still and see what he does because he will be glorified. Amen. God bless you. Have a wonderful Sunday. May the Lord shine his face upon each and every one of you. Remember Class Discipleship 1. We're going to start at 1230 in the PLBS classroom. God bless you. Today's message, today's theme is the new and holy life in Christ. The new and holy life in Christ. In Christ means that we are in relationship with God, with Christ. Amen. Colossians chapter 3. We're going to go there together. You who are watching behind a screen, welcome. I hope that the word you hear is not a word you need to hear. I know that God speaks to us all equally and to me as well. He doesn't make you the messenger. God speaks to me as well. Amen. Well, it's a joy and a pleasure to be able to preach the word of God and to be able to have the knowledge of the Bible. Because, you know, many of us sometimes read the Bible and we read it like any other book. But, you know, the Bible is not just any other book. The Bible is alive and effective. The scripture says, it is sharper than a two-edged sword that penetrates the heart, the joints, and even the bones of the bones. Amen. So, the word of God is the word of God. It is the mouth of God speaking to our lives. Colossians chapter 3. It says the following. If you have risen with Christ, look for the things above where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Where is Christ? At the right hand of God. It says, look for the things above, not the things on earth. Because you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

Obediencia a Él. No hacemos nada.
Somos guiados a toda verdad y a toda justicia.

Juan capítulo 14 Versículo 1 al 3 dice no se turbe vuestro corazón creéis en dios creer también en mí en la casa de mi padre muchas moradas hay si así no fuera yo I would have told you, I am going to prepare a place for you, and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and I will take you myself, so that where I am, you are also. Our room must be heaven. This room that we have here in this world is something temporal. It is going to end. That is why Scripture clearly says that the world and its desires pass, but the one who does the will of God remains forever. Well, let's get to the points of the message. Number one, look for the things above. We read this in Colossians chapter 3 verse 1 to 4. Here on earth, sometimes it is a Scripture that is used a lot when someone dies. And when they do the funeral, sometimes this Scripture is used, that Jesus prepared a place for us. He prepared a place for us, but it is up to us to get to that place. And how are we going to get to that place? By surrendering our lives to Jesus. By establishing a relationship with God and doing the will of God here on earth. It is how we can get to heaven, there in that home that Jesus Christ has made for us. It is only like that. If a person dies without giving his life to the Lord, without repenting of his sins, then he is not going to get to that home. He is going to get to another place. He is going to get to another place, clearly. I'm going to ask you something. You here on this earth, you need clothing, right? You need food too, right? You need a drink too. You need a home to live in, yes or no? You need a vehicle to go to the store or to work, yes or no? Well, God knows all of these needs. But our priority should be to seek the kingdom of God and His justice. So that He can add all the things that need to be added to our lives. Like those things that I mentioned. I think we all need all of these things here on earth. And God knows it before we ask for it, says His word. He knows the need that we have at the moment that we have it. The scriptures say, Because where your treasure is, there will also be your heart.
Asking God for the things that we need here on earth is not bad. It is good. What is bad is when we put our gaze on the things that we have, instead of putting our gaze on God who gave us all that we have. Putting our gaze on the things above is something that we as Christians should take into account from the day we give ourselves to the Lord. Seeking the things above is the same. We no longer seek the earthly things, but the spiritual ones. We no longer seek the earthly things, but the spiritual ones. Amen? But the spiritual ones. Many people live worried about money, success, fame, or temporary pleasures. And we can see it. I was one of them when I was not in the Lord. But we today, who are without Christ, you and I as believers, we must live thinking about the following. 1. How can I please God? 2. How can I serve God? 3. How can I be more like Christ? More like Christ. Our goal is to be imitators of Christ all the time. To reflect Christ in this world. Where they need Christ. Amen? They need Christ. Paul says, let us put our gaze on the things above, not on the earthly things. 1 John 2 Let's go there, 1 John 2, verse 15. 1 John 2, verse 15. Go ahead to 17. It says the following. Do not love the world, nor the things that are in the world. What does it say?
Do not love the world, nor the things that are in the world. It says, if anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. Because all that is in the world, the desires of the flesh, the desires of the eyes, and the vanity of life, does not come from the Father, but from the world. And the world passes, and its desires, but the one who does the will of God, remains forever. Amen? As long as we do not live in the Spirit, to strengthen ourselves in the Spirit, it will be impossible to leave the things of this world, of this world. Because the things of this world, the devil will always use to distract us from looking for the things of heaven. Looking for the things of heaven means that you prepare yourself every day to be ready, so that when Christ comes or calls you from this world to his presence, you enter that place that he has prepared for you. But many people here in this, well, you can say in this whole world, many people sell their soul to the devil to get success, to get money, to get fame, and you name it. You know, all that is garbage, as the apostle Paul said, that he considered everything he had won as garbage. And he lost everything for what? To win Christ, that is, to be like Christ. Amen? But the reality is that the devil himself, and I say this because I have seen it, many people take their lives, many people reunite, how do you say, ruin? They ruin themselves in drugs and other things that end their lives for nothing, in condemnation. Selling your soul to the devil is something you should never do, because you know what, first of all, as Christians, we must know the reality that our soul belongs to God. Our soul does not belong to us. Our soul identifies who we are, but our soul is not ours.
Our soul is God's, it belongs to God. But sadly, people who are not in Christ, they sell their soul to the devil. The devil gives them success, fame, money, whatever they ask for, but at the end of the day, he takes everything from them, kills them, and ruins them. You name it. That is why it is so important to put our gaze on the things above and our desires on the things above. Number two, make old nature die. Colossians chapter 3, verses 5 to 9, we read it. Here in these scriptures, Paul uses a strong word. He says, make old nature die. He does not say, control it, he does not say that, nor tolerate it. He says, make old nature die. Make old nature die, that carnal desire, that carnal desire that we have to do things in the world. In these verses that we just read, in Colossians chapter 3, verses 5 to 9, in the beginning, there are several sins that are mentioned. And we are going to spend some time on these, but we have to pay attention. Fornication. The first sin, fornication. In the Bible, the fornication of the Greek, porneia, refers to any activity or sexual relationship that occurs outside the limits of marriage. It says, this involves premarital sex, relationships with a prostitute, and in general, any use of sex that is not within the conjugal union
between a man and a woman. Sex, God created it, right? Recall that in the... The book of Psalms, chapter 139, he interweaved all the parts of our body in the womb of our mother. He gave us all the parts that we have, amen? And something that God has, how did I tell you? He created in us is the intimacy of being able to have sex and create. But sex must be within marriage, as the scripture says. And if it's not within marriage, then that's called fornication. Right, Adam? Do you agree with that? Yes? Good. Impurity, second sin. In the Bible, impurity refers to any physical, ritual, or moral state that separates man from the holiness of God. Now, in the Old Testament, it implied legal consummation. In the book of Leviticus, in the book of Leviticus, you will realize that there were many laws. That if they touched a dead animal, they were filthy. That if they ate blood, they were filthy. Right?
That if they had sex with a woman that was in their time, it was filthy. In the book of Leviticus, you will realize that there were many laws. Amen? Many laws. In the New Testament, it represents sin and corruption. Today, sin is disobedience to God's will. In other words. Right, Bertha? Do you agree? Amen. Well, the Bible clearly says in Romans 6.23 that the payment of sin is death. There it says. But the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus. The one who practices sin, says the scripture, and I don't say it. You read it in 1 John, in that book, you read it. It says that the one who practices sin is the devil. It's the devil. Why is it the devil? Because the devil sins from the beginning. He is a liar. A swindler. A person who wants to steal, kill, and destroy, says the Bible. Unorganized passions, number, the third sin. Unorganized passions, according to the Bible,
are intense desires or carnal impulses, such as lust, greed, or anger, which deviate from the divine purpose. Now, far from being harmless, harmless, sorry, they are considered forms of slavery to sin that take the human being away from the will of God. That's why the Bible clearly says that we don't conform to this world. Why? Because if we conform to this world, we become slaves to this world. But we are not slaves to this world. Amen? Amen? Amen? Amen. The Bible says that we don't conform to this century, but that we transform through the renewal of our understanding, so that we can verify which is the will of God, pleasant and perfect. Which one am I on? Which one am I on? Huh? Number four? Number four? Come on, greed. Sorry, I think I jumped.
Four, bad desires. Sorry, I'm going to say greed. Bad desires. In the Bible of bad desires, it means that they can be defined as desires of the flesh or deceitful desires. They are the internal inclinations that move away from the will of God. In other words, they represent temptations, selfish passions, or sinful impulses that if they are not controlled, they break the heart of the human being. And of course, they are destructive. And now, I think that all of us, at some point in our lives, have had bad desires. Right? Because we are human beings. Tell me you haven't had a bad desire at some point in your life. Have you? Yes. Well, in front of God, the scripture says that we are all naked. And what it means is that in front of God, nothing can be covered. Everything is covered in front of God. de Dios.
Voy a ir ahí. Salmos 139. No debemos hacerlo.
No mensos, mansos. ¿Sabes? A veces no tenemos paciencia, ¿verdad?
¿Verdad? Si Dios te usa a ti más que a mí, ¡Gloria a Dios! ¿Amén? ¡Gloria a Dios! Que así sea.
Romanos capítulo 3, versículo 21. Vamos a ir ahí. Bueno, todavía sobra mucho, pero tengan paciencia. Romanos capítulo 3. Romanos capítulo 3. Versículo, vamos a leer versículo 21.
