Standing in this line, I realized why God brought me here. And it was for my relationship. And the biggest thing I've been struggling with and hiding from my pastor is, I'm falling into sexual immorality and fornication. And I guess my biggest question for you is, how do you overcome that? You gotta believe the word of God above your thoughts. So 2 Corinthians 5.17 tells you, you're a new creature, although old has passed, right? But in your thoughts, you're like, wait, but I have sexual lust and desire. So who's right, right? If God tells you you're a new creature, and you still have these lustful thoughts, you can differentiate, oh, this isn't from God. And if I follow my thoughts, which are from Satan, what is that gonna lead me to? Sadness, misery, depression, loneliness, feeling unworthy, X, Y, and Z. It doesn't matter how much you know about the gospel. You cannot deny your thoughts, you will continuously fall into your flesh. So that the important thing is understanding, oh, I'm not what I thought I was. If God says I'm dead, I am dead to my sins. Galatians 2.20 says the same thing. I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live, but Christ, right, lives in me, right? So if you think about you being crucified,

you were nailed to the cross with Jesus too. That's why he says, take up your cross, because what he obtained on that cross was given to us. That's why he says there's co-heirs, two crowns, one throne. So we have to recognize, oh, inside of my heart, my identity is Jesus. I don't need to trust my thoughts anymore. But the issue is, if you trust your thoughts, you'll question the word of God. Our thoughts never match the word of God. Make sense? So that's why we have to recognize, wait a minute. Like for me, for example, I had a lot of anger. I obviously didn't go to prison for selling strawberry shortcakes, right? I went for like shootings and stuff like that. So every time I'll have even that rage arise from time to time, right? Like, oh man, like, and sometimes it's like the PTSD, like reaching and I'm like, oh my gosh, I don't even have the pistol on me. But I think about it for a second. Wait a minute, where is this thought coming from? If God says that I'm a new creature and my thought is telling me to hurt this person, who's right? And I'll literally sit there and kind of process it internally. And then I'm able to move according to that. A lot of us, we don't think deeply.

We overthink, yes, but we don't think deeply. We just go, yeah, this, okay, I feel lustful. Boom, you accept it, bleeds into your heart, behavior. And then you're trying to cut it at the behavior. You have to cut it at the root, which is your thoughts by accepting the word of God above your thoughts. I don't know how many times you've read the Bible, but this is why I encourage people to read the Bible because the whole point of spiritual life is replacing your thoughts with the word of God. So when you're speaking, I'm thinking in scriptures. Does that make sense? That's how I'm able to pull it out. But it's because I read the Bible. You can't fight Satan without the word. Jesus would have did that a long time ago. He used the word every single time. And that's what we have to do. He literally gave us the blueprint on how to overcome temptation. But if we're not in our word, we're in our thoughts. If we're not in our word, we're in our feelings. We will get conquered if that's the case. You, me, everybody else in here. So you got to be in your word more than you are in your head. Does that make sense? Amen. All right, sure. Thank you.
