They Asked Me The Hardest Question About God
Another Bible study turned into a full-blown street takeover in Miami, with hundreds pulling up despite the rain and a looming park shutdown. We dug into Genesis 4 and the story of Cain and Abel, then opened it up for real talk on anxiety, fatherhood, and finding grace in the middle of your mess. By the end we were running into old faces, swapping testimonies, and reminded once again that God writes the best plot twists.
She may not have faith, that's okay. I didn't have faith either. What am I doing here? Preaching the gospel. Even to the point where we're, hopefully we don't get shut down. Amen? So they're shutting us down at this park? Your Twitch team banned me for no reason. Yo, I know this guy. This guy used to go against me. It's storming, bro. Bro, this is a crazy area. Please, can I talk to the people right now? We're getting shut down? Yeah. What's up, guys? Yo, last night was so crazy. Thank all of Orlando for you guys for coming out. We obviously had a bomb sermon, live Q and A's. We wrapped it up heavy. I like this. Bomb. Creamy soft notes. Sweeteners. Top of the palette. That cream, pure vanilla. Hint of a cinnamon, hint of spice. That's a 10. That's a 10.
Hallelujah. I just shoved it, but it's a pull. It stopped my finger. Ha ha ha ha ha! Seriously? Oh, this is crazy. Whoa, hey, we should go swimming. Bro, this is a crazy Airbnb, guys. That was tough. That was tough. I'm going to go on live and tell everybody where and when to pull up, because we are in Miami, and I always go live. I'm going to answer some questions. I'm going to tell them about Jesus Christ! Say, Jesus Christ! We've been busy, busy. We're going to have a sermon for Miami tomorrow. Again, free, after service event. Come meet, hang out with us. Link in the bio. You guys can text Miami to the number as well. You know, sinning woefully and then losing your salvation. That's talking about. Well, because you said five minutes ago, 40 minutes ago, all the restaurants are closed. Literally. Please, can I talk to a human right now? Please, please, please,
can I talk to a human right now? Did I defeat the AI? Did you get it? Yes, I defeated the AI. Hey, so we just got into Miami. We're starving. If we get there in 10 minutes, will you guys stay open? We'll order all at once really, really fast. I promise. I mean, as long as you come here before 10.30, we should be able to take our order. Yes! Okay, we'll be there in 10 minutes. Love you so much. Goodbye. All right, great. Go, go, go, go, go. Oh, they do not enter, but that's okay. We the Chinese of people, we make our own room. Good luck, everybody. So I went to the restroom, and the two servers stopped me, and they're like, I'm so sorry. Like, I know you're eating, but you really inspired us. And she quoted stuff that I said. She's like, analogy about the, like you forgiving your dad with two boats crashing into each other
and the waves being Satan, the enemy, like that helped it really clear. They were like, you know, saying that you're very inspirational. And so we took pictures, and yeah, they're like hooking us up now. Seek the kingdom first, and all else will be added unto you. You know what you probably didn't talk about with them in the hallway? No, I, nope, nope. I told them, I told them 1.30, all over beach, they were like, oh, okay, we can go, we'll go. And the other guy came up, shook my hand, did the same thing, I'm like, what is? Free live event tomorrow. Ooh, this is blue crab. So this is what I do, guys, all right? Look, this is the Johnny Chang special, all right? You get the Kazumi wasabi, put it in there. Not that much, okay, I put a lot. Grab this, and I, little, little bitty dabby. Mix it up until it's all donezo. Break it all up, not too much, okay, because it's kind of spicy. And then, take it. You boom, boom. And you're like, itadakimasu. I think that's what they say.
Or, bon appetit. Bro, it's storming, bro. One, two, three. Oh my God, Papi don't like the rain, Papi. Oh my God, I cannot see. You can't see anything. This doesn't stop tomorrow. We don't really know what's gonna happen. Like, I'm not sure where I'm gonna be able to preach, because we don't have a place. So, it's either at the beach, at the park, or it's, I don't know. Okay, look at this. So tomorrow, we're supposed to throw the event at 1.30 p.m., and at 4.00 p.m., it's 35% chance of rain. We're definitely going to still be outside, so we're going to roll the dice. Jimmy's actually a good driver. That's why I told you guys I have to tell him. He literally does have all the... I just want to say the percentage of rain went up from 35% to 55% today. So if we're in a park, yeah, yeah, it's 55%. No, they're just waves. They have no feet. So you guys know what happened yesterday. It was super gloomy. It was straight up thunderstorming and we weren't sure, honestly, if we were going to even have the event. Excuse me, do you know where the event is? Okay, thank you. Whoa. Hey, we got all the stuff? Okay. Yo, there's a bunch of... You think that's all them? That's all for us over there? Oh my gosh, dude. There's so many people here. Oh my gosh. Let's go. That's fire. Whoa. Dude, what the... Y'all, you guys are wild, man. Look at how many people are here. This is nutty. All right, guys. Again, welcome to another after service. First time here in Miami. Let's clap it. All right. Hey, shoot. That's dope. So as you guys know, I actually preach just from the word
and I wanted to share a little bit with you guys about Genesis chapter four and just how impactful it is. Do you guys know the story of Cain and Abel? Cain and Abel, everybody should know that, right? Older brother kills younger brother, et cetera, et cetera, right? So we're going to actually look at that today. So let's go to Genesis chapter four and we're going to tie it in as to why this is important for us in terms of spiritual life. In verse seven, it says, doest well. Do you guys see this scripture? Doest well. If you do well, it'll be good for you. If you don't do good, sin lies at the door, right? Again, we need to learn a little bit of Hebrew. On the surface level, what does it look like? You just got to do good and be good. Amen. But when you look at it in Hebrew, doest well is yatav. Yatav means to align. It doesn't mean just to do well in good works. It means your heart has to align with God. It has to align with Abel. He was basically telling him, do exactly what your brother did. Understand? You don't do well. You bring the substitute who does well. That's what I need from you guys, because there's only one way to God. Who is that? Yeshua. Amen. Right? Jesus Christ. But he was trying to get to God from what guys? His own works. He was diligent guys. In my opinion, he was working harder than Abel. Would you agree? He was trying to prove to him out of good intention. I love you, God. Look at it, man. Why do you just want to eat meat? There's mangoes with tajin and chamoy. There's pineapple. He's like, why do you want meat? In this way, he fell into his own countenance. He fell into his own works. That's what we do as human beings too. We all start with good intention. Ask the people who've been divorced. How does a marriage always start? With good intention. Babe, let's bring our families together. Let's love on each other. Let's expose ourselves to our families. Right? And then a year later, two years later, five years, maybe 10 years later, divorce happens. Why though, guys? Because good intention is not God intention. Understand what I'm saying? Right? Good intention is not God intention. Right? So people confuse that. Oh, I'm like God. So if I think this way, then that's what God wants. But we have to double-check the scripture. Isaiah 55 verse 8 is very clear. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are my ways your ways. God is accurate about this. So how do you find out his way? How do you find out his thoughts? By going to the word. Amen? Amen? That's why I always harp on, we gotta be in our word. If you're not in your word, you're in your what? Thoughts and feelings. That works. Didn't quite hit. No, I'm just kidding. But that was good. Right? If you're not in your word, you're in your feelings.
Understand? Feelings are distrustful. Why? Because they shake. They're not grounded. One minute, I love you, honey. Next minute. I hate you get out my house. Understand what I'm saying? Oh only me. Okay. All right. I guess you guys are all good Right. All of us are our feelings go up and down So if you placate to your feelings does it now make sense why you live like a roller coaster? You're happy when you're happy whoo. Amen. Hallelujah. Salah, right, but then when you're messed up sad Miserable happy sad happy sad up and down up and down sin repents and repent until when Emptiness hits you and then God puts a Chinese tattoo guy on your algorithm Right. Hey, hey, man. Hey, man, so Right with Cain work. He represents works guys. And what else religion? Amen Able he represents God and grace, right? See religion will always preach rules, right and they will police people Religion always preaches rules and polices people grace. However Relationship will always preach Protection understand what I'm saying? It protects you. Amen One is policing one is protecting right and God wanted to protect everybody. He wanted to show Through Jesus Christ that you can't do it and it's okay If you guys are struggling today with your sins if there's a past trauma that you guys have in your heart, right? God is not trying to regulate you. Do you guys understand what I'm saying? He's not trying to wave his finger and go you guys messed up. You need to do better and try harder That's not what he's saying. He's saying I know that you're messed up That's why I sent the one to clean you up to fix you up, which is Jesus Christ. Amen Amen guys, amen Okay, that's good we're gonna end it right now Yeah, no, we're gonna end it right now We're gonna end it all right, so Anyways guys the message here today is we can't do anything without a substitute. Amen guys It was always about Jesus Christ. And even till this day when you look at Galatians, it's always gonna be works against grace Right is that is the gospel hard for you guys to understand if you think about it? No
Jesus Christ came down died for our sins made us righteous perfected and holy Right, and all we have to do is believe that and accept them. Amen, but why do people complicate it? Because they add themselves into it their thoughts into it their feelings into understand what I'm saying guys, right? People don't understand that their feelings are deceitful Jeremiah 17 verse 9 says our feelings are deceitful the heart above all things Desperately wicked who can know it right guys. It means that our heart is a top liar, but we don't know it How many times have we trusted our thoughts and our feelings guys? How many times have you heard the mantra of the world that says follow your heart follow your feelings Trusting yourself believe in yourself. It never says trust in God, right guys. It always says follow yourself So when you follow yourself now, you understand why you're living up and down now You understand why you guys are spiraling every single night. You have everything. I see some of y'all influencers here I see some of y'all rich got money got a spouse got everything But why is it that you lay in bed at night and one thought turns into ten thoughts and you have suicidal ideations And you have past trauma and you think about these things don't write that off. Think about it. Clearly guys Oh, that's the enemy trying to attack with our with our thoughts and our feelings. Amen Can I show you guys one more verse and then we'll kind of wrap up here because the enemy trying to attacks I want to get some Q&A's here. Let's go to Romans chapter 4 5 and 4 25 So 4 5 and verse 25 2 verses here, but to him that worketh not But believeth on him that justified the ungodly his faith is counted for righteousness. Do we see that guess? One more time to him that works not does not work but believes on him that justifies the who Ungodly interesting, why doesn't he say justify the godly? Because godly people don't even justify it understand what I'm saying who needs to be saved guys Everybody but do good people who are holy need to be saved. They're already saved, right? It's the sinners that need repentance the sinners that need to be saved, right? But what does the enemy tell us be good why so that you justify yourself? Amen, and then you fall short you guys got that the point is not to justify yourself It's to realize I can't justify myself The point is not to say I messed up here. I messed up here. I messed up here. The point is to say I'm messed up Do you guys understand what I'm saying? I'm messed up in God. That's why I need you. Amen
That's why I need Jesus Christ when I stopped trying to police myself and fix myself There was a type of Liberty that overcame me right if I was able to then believe Oh, I'm a person who messes up all the time, but that's why Jesus came for me. Hello. He's a Savior Do you guys understand what I'm saying? He's a Savior meaning he has to save me from something if I don't know how to swim which I do But let's say I don't know how to swim and I fall into there One of you guys are probably all of you guys would probably try to save me Amen, some of y'all would try to drown me Jeremy. She's kidding, right? So If I could walk out of that by myself, that means I saved myself Would you guys agree if I'm drowning? I need a Savior to come save me. Likewise. We're drowning in our depression Drowning in our loneliness drowning in our past trauma drowning in our lust our envy our hate our jealousy everything Do you think you can save yourself out of that? No way you've tried but who can save you out of it Jesus Christ Amen, that's why he says Romans 4 25 that's rated carefully here who was delivered for our offenses and raised again for our Justification you guys got that so did Jesus get delivered for our sins Yes, did Jesus get raised did he raise again for our justification then are you guys justified or no Did Jesus fail? No, so you're justified. Amen. Raise your hand if you're justified by the blood Amen, right guys. Amen. Amen. This is what it means To believe in Christ not just being a fanboy Jesus and God Right you guys got it, right it's about Oh God you made me justified Who the Sun is away. Thank God Honestly, that felt bomb. All right, sir. So gee, I'll hear it close Well, I feel like Jonah, bro Sure, but guys It's interesting that people still say that they sin right when Jesus nailed it to the cross brothers and sisters We don't walk by sight. We walk by faith. Amen by faith. You have to say that you're perfected now I'm not saying you guys are perfect. Trust me, and I'm not saying I'm perfect But what I am saying is we are justified by the perfect one And if that's the case what he says goes amen guys
He is the substitute just like Abel brought the substitute right and made him righteous So although he passed away his blood still spake it says in Hebrews. He spoke through faith He lived out faith and he was favored because of it. Amen guys So every day Satan is like Cain trying to murder us in our thoughts in our feelings in our depression feeding off of that Right, but we are righteous brothers and sisters. We are justified. We're a holy and so I hope you guys can take that from that Lesson today. Amen guys, don't bring the curse to the ground Amen, don't bring your works Only bring the work of Jesus Christ. Amen. Alrighty guys. Thank you guys so much. Yo, let's set up for Q&A sir What's going on Johnny, welcome to Miami, thank you a blessing to see you talk here appreciate you bro, so You're obviously someone who's very knowledged on the Word of God. You've read the Bible front to back 25 times or more So brother someone who's new to Christ or someone who's walking in their faith There might not be as knowledgeable as you who's going through a tough season in their life right now Or just people in general that want to help each other How do you know where to look for scripture that that's tailored to your situation and tailored to your hardship? So we don't tailor scripture to our situation. We tailor our situation to scripture. Does that make sense? A lot of people try to mold scripture to match their energy match their situation We just sit there and we look at what scripture says about the situation and everywhere you start bro It's literally pointing to Jesus Christ, right? So you can look at a scripture for anxiety for example Like first Peter chapter 5 verse 8 a lot of us know this scripture Jeremiah 29 11 is another one for I know I the thoughts that I have for you thoughts of peace Not of evil to give you an expected end But just because you read it does not mean you feel peaceful right away You get what I'm saying? The heart posture has to be surrendered So God allows seasons like you say trials and tribulations like you say to mold us, right? The fact that you're asking that question is beautiful. It's proof that God is molding you you get what I mean? There's a situation that you cannot overcome right if you could overcome even with the Word of God Then it becomes a weapon always you don't seek God You just seek the word and be like, okay this helped me get over it And now it's a transactional type of thing. You get what I'm saying, right?
Where do I go to for anxiety? Oh, I just want peace then. You get what I'm saying? People can idolize peace and miss the prince of peace. You get what I mean? So you have to be cautious about that, right? Heart posture says a lot when someone speaks They leak is what I say, right? If someone's only let's say talking about money money money money that you know in their heart They have grief. So if a person is sitting there and they're like, hey, you know what I want a scripture for this I want to grow with this you're growing right if God could remove you out of the season Let's say couldn't he do that, right? He could snap his fingers and you'd be out of it and a lot of us have transitioned out of seasons like this Why doesn't he he's teaching you something? You know what? I mean, so as a baby Christian is just like kids who trust their worldly parents, too When you cross the road, you don't know why you have to hold on to their hand You don't know why they you know are not buying baby shark and they're just buying food for you, right? But they trust the parents and then later they start to understand surrender comes first and then understand it You know what I mean? So your job is just to keep reading and be like God, I don't know But what is it that you're trying to do? What is your heart versus? Okay, give me this so I could get out of this heart my heart you understand now It's changing the lens from a perspective of man. I gotta feel better to Lord What is it that you're trying to teach because I don't want to miss the blesser for the blessing I don't want to miss the comforter for the comfort Because then you just missed the whole point right right God doesn't want that relationship where it's like Oh, I'm only gonna come to you if you make me feel good It's I want you to trust me. Even if you don't feel good. It's not transaction facts All right, so you have to kind of see it from that as a new believer. That's all we got to do Okay, God, I'm gonna read. I don't know what this means. Oh, yeah, maybe Johnny can explain it But more importantly, let me just see where your heart is in this Jesus Where are you and all of this versus dang? I got anxiety. Let me crack open the Bible Okay, let me Google or chat CBT 10 verses for anxiety and just repeat them Okay, it's not gonna do anything for you, right? You have to sit there and go. Okay God, you're allowing anxiety You can snap your fingers and remove anxiety Why aren't you there's something you're trying to teach me here
Let me figure your heart out not what I want about it because I want this thing to go away right now Right cultivate in me nurture in me that I promise you bro Your eyes open up your mind opens up and you're like I see you Jesus. I see you right? So I They're shutting us down at this part, but does anybody know anything nearby here We should just mob over there let's go I Met God when I had my accident five years ago He found me I did not look for him a drunk driver pinned me against my car and Since then God has done wonders in my life He has really sustained me and given me things that I didn't have before But there's one situation that I feel like I'm in a looping and It's like I get stuck. I don't know why I feel so ashamed to pray about it And I know that I need to pray but I sometimes feel like Like I know that I got myself into this mess again How do I do that? Yeah When you look at Romans chapter 8 verse 26, it says that the Spirit prays for you Right, and when you don't feel like praying that's when you just go to God with that same heart So exactly you just explained to me You just go to God of tears and all right and say God I know I'm supposed to pray but I don't want to God. Please give me the heart to do so now You're leaning on him. You understand what I'm saying? Secondly, there's another verse same chapter Romans 8 verse 1 condemnation guilt negativity shame not from God So if you sit there and you feel shame you have to differentiate. Oh, wait a minute. Would God make me feel shameful? No, oh Then this shame is coming from who sister the enemy. Would you listen to the enemy? No, are you sure? Okay, so that's what you have to think and then you go. Okay God, I know this but again I still need grace for you to help me. Yeah, Lord
I'm trying and I know I can tell like you try right you're like Oh, let me do this. Let me repent. Let me do that's great. But in the core of your heart Everything operates from grace you waking up in the morning, for example grace, right? Let's say you want to pray and you have the heart to pray But if god doesn't give you the breath in your lungs to wake up tomorrow, you can't even pray Do you get what i'm saying? So you have to think about it from that position. Oh Yes, of course. It's tough right the situation that you're in leg is gone all that sure But if you think about it god, you still woke me up lamentations three tells us His mercies are new every morning. So sister you may feel guilty, but he woke you up meaning he gave you mercy Do you understand what i'm saying sister, right? Amen, so that's all you gotta believe Okay All right I want to say, uh, you know, thank you for all the work you've been doing for me because you know You worked in me a lot. You don't want to brought me to the lord So I want to say thank you for that bro. Glory go to god after that. Amen, bro You know, uh one question that I I just been asking not just my my pastor But like people who've been guiding me to christ who are more spiritually mature is um How do you be a good father because i'm about to be a dad soon So I want to know like some advices that you how to learn that you got to live through to actually, you know game yeah, um, so You have to realize that isaiah 54 13 is true. It says the lord shall raise your children great will be their peace Right, so you have to realize oh i'm not gonna be able to raise my father or my son like my father can My father in heaven, you know what I mean? Yeah, and then you start to raise them correctly because you don't then put your emotions into it You don't then like judge them for it. You look at them and you go. Oh, okay God could snap his fingers and make this kid not be crazy and angry and frustrated and throwing tantrums But what is god trying to train in me? And what is he training in him, right? So you you have to think about it biblically. How am I going to raise my children biblically isaiah 54 13 So the more you get closer to the gospel, bro
The more you look at matthew 6 33 seek the kingdom first, which is the gospel that gets us into the kingdom The more god will have to take care of everything else It says seek ye first the kingdom of heaven all else will be added unto you, right? So I love the fact that you want to be a good dad because there's a lot of people that don't even care about their Kids respectfully right and you want that so that's what you have to surrender to god father god I want to do well, but i'm also broken as in by nature as a human being you made me this way Lord, don't let me put my hands on it. Don't let me pass down any generational trauma lord You you are the one that has to raise them. That's not my son. That's a blessing that you gave me You're actually his father. That's your son, right? Please you take care of it and when you do it like this, bro You everything just falls off of you. You're just like, okay, he's throwing a tantrum All right, god, you pray to god about it, right? You got to tell him no, right? Tell kids no obviously and um, you know train them but in your heart you have to realize i'm not the dad god You're the dad. Yes. I'm here. Yes. I'm taking care of him But lord, you have to give me grace to raise this kid I can't do it and god will help you because now you're seeking him Every single time from the first fight that he's gonna get into For the first girlfriend that he gets for all these things where you'll be stressed out i'm telling you But that's why you have to go to god about it. You get what I mean? Amen. All right. Thank you so much. Johnny. Thank you for sure for sure We're gonna we're getting shut down. Yeah. Well, he's being super nice. Yeah, man Hey, the guy's being super nice he said 15 minutes and then he has to shut us down So we're just gonna go until 15 minutes and then we have to end this Um I was um, thank you. Thank you for being very honest and um real Relatable and you know allowing god to guide you and I don't feel like he puts himself in front of god he always makes sure to tell everyone to put god first and I think that's the best thing you can tell anyone. So thank you for reminding us
My experience here. It was super amazing I wasn't actually gonna come my friend. Sarah was telling me all about it And i'm so blessed that he was able to spread the message that he did today and it was very beautiful On top of the fact that you know, we heard johnny talk in the q a I made a personal connection with someone who I Had no idea I would even meet today and I know that god put us both here together at the same time for that So just come With expectations, but know that they're gonna surpass that I was an addict. I was homeless and I got saved by the lord surely And then I come here and this kid his parents took in my me and my husband and my two children Okay, and my children didn't spend one day Because of his family, so it's no coincidence. I haven't seen you in what 15 years Maybe 10 years. This is great Yo, I know this guy. This guy used to go against me. Really? He did Tell him, tell him. Keep it real. It's okay It was a little controversial when I heard it first Thank God glory to God first We literally thought that we weren't going to be able to run this like seriously It was like 55% chance of rain and it jumped up to like 90 and then all of a sudden jump back down So we came here. I didn't think there was gonna be much of a show out bro There was over like 300 I think 400 people probably Blood sweat and tears to be able to just come and preach in Miami is kind of wild, right? So the enemy was working but God is greater than that Appreciate everybody that came out and if you guys want to be able to see another event like this guys You can text AFTRS to 323-613-3577 And put host to nominate your church The reason why we weren't able to get it fully was because we didn't have a church out here So you guys want us to be at your church and you guys can house a thousand to two thousand people hit us up You
