How Do I Escape The Fear From Satan? (Pastor Guides)
Fear has a way of making the enemy feel bigger than God. If you're stuck in that grip, this one's for you. I get into where that fear really comes from, and why it starts to lose its power the moment you stop facing it alone.
Is fear from God? No. And who is it from? This one's going to be kind of intense. Ephesians 511 says don't take part in the fruitful deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. The Ezekiel 33 in there says that's the Watchmen verse where we're called to be Watchmen on a wall. Sure. To warn people about certain things. It talks about dangers that are coming and then it talks about sins of man. And if you do not warn them and they do not like, you know, you warn them and they take notice. And then if they don't, you know, the blood is on your hands or something like that. You know that lately I've been doing a lot of research into the Noahide laws. It's led me into more depression. It's like I'm losing my focus on on bringing people to Christ, you know, sounds familiar. I'm just, I feel trapped, afraid. And, you know, I'm one of the only people in my household that have come to Christ. And it's hard because I can't, I feel like I can't rely on anybody. You know, I mean, outside of God and Christ, you know, just, it's, I just wish I had somebody to, I don't know, to talk with like, you're talking about a mentor and I don't have one of those. So I have my Bible and I have Christ and I have my prayers. And my question is this, how do we escape that fear that the world brings when we're alone? Amen. So is fear from God? No. No. Who is it from? It's from Satan. Would you listen to him? No. I don't know who already are.
All he has to do is just plant these. He's a paper tiger, as we say. From afar, you're like, oh my gosh, bro, is powerful. And then you walk up to it and you're like, understand what I'm saying? Satan doesn't have power. He's a dog on a leash that I do, that I, that I do realize who told you you're depressed. I feel depressed. I feel so you go. And what are feelings to the, are they finite or feelings like important? According to the word of God, are we learned today? The feelings are definitely not. Amen, but if you follow them, what happens? We get lost. I want feel. How I feel. 100%. What I'm doing here is I'm as a mentor organizing your heart. I'm trying to make you see. Oh, there's really nothing here. Listen, bro, if Satan could pluck you, he'd pluck you. He's not going to play with you. Satan loves to go. Hey, I have a lot of power. Look at me. And then you go, wow, amen, Satan, you do. We don't amen, Satan though. So when you research, bro, that's the problem with rabbit holes. It's one after another. Trust map been through it, bro. I read the book of Enoch.
There's three of them. I read the Apocrypha. I read all these different things, right? As you had mentioned, and all it did was it gave me no faith. All it was was it made me a big old brain. Well, the Bible says this, but at the same time, it was this just hell of debate. I was winning arguments. I wasn't winning souls. That's how you feel, right? So for you two verses, first Corinthians two, two, you read it. Let's have you read it, bro. "For I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ and Him crucified." Who's speaking here? Paul. Nice. Paul wrote 14 epistles. What does he say? He wrote about tongues, gifts, dreams, visions, everything, which is important. But what does he say? Read it carefully. Read it one more time. "For I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ and Him crucified." So what is he saying? That's the only thing he wants to know. That's the thing he's determined to know. Determined to know. He knows all these other things, too. He's smart. He's led a lot of the apostles, his apostles, and his disciples made it into the Bible. Rose goaded.
I understand. But he goes, "I don't care about nothing else except who Jesus Christ and Him crucified." Why? Because it's the only thing that matters. Exactly. If I know about the book of Enoch and I know Nephilim, Setafim, right? Nephilim and Seraphim, but I don't know Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Am I getting to heaven? Uh, no. So what Satan does is he makes us idolize knowledge. You can worship knowledge, bro. I had that, too. I was just like you. First five years on my walk, I would argue with people. You have to realize, bro, the more you follow your thoughts, the more you think, "I'm smart. I could get this." Imagine that. We're finite, bro. How can we understand an infinite God? We're not to understand him or to accept him. That's what we're supposed to do. Amen. Amen. Look here, bro. You look happier now. Like, I can just see it. It's like lifted off of you because people are not guiding you correctly, respectfully, right? That's why you have to realize it's not about knowledge, bro. It's all about relationship.
Hey, Father God, I'm scared. What are you scared? You all have to work on this. I've seen this in just Christianity in general. I can't do anything Christianity bro is not you researching everything sacrificing your life for God That's not what Christianity is Christianity is Jesus Christ God Sacrificing his life for you because if he doesn't die on the cross it don't matter how much you know about certain things None of us are getting to heaven. I could be a good person. Love my neighbor do all that But if there's no blood we're not getting to heaven. You understand that's why Paul. He's like I said He's a g. He's like I'm gonna focus only on that and that's what we focus on and I promise you bro You'll be just as happy as everybody who focuses on the gospel peaceful loving all that amen. Amen. Thank you guys Thank you. Thank you. [MUSIC] [MUSIC PLAYING] (gentle music)
