1,200 People Chose Jesus In One Day
Johnny Chang and George Janko travel to Victory Outreach Phoenix to preach the gospel and take part in a historic mass baptism, drawing thousands from across the country. Over the course of the weekend, more than 1,200 people are baptized, setting a new Arizona record and marking the largest baptism event in the state's history. From powerful testimonies to an emotional Q&A on fear and faith, this is a raw look at community, transformation, and what it means to publicly declare a life for Christ.
My question is this, how do we escape that fear that the world brings when we're alone? Yeah, amen. Is fear from God? What we're doing today is we are exactly what it's sure to say in preaching the gospel and that sizing compares when we broke the state record. I mean, that speaks for itself, you know, to see that, it only is God, amen. Which is wild. I had really, really, really big fears before I came here, and I actually went to an elder and had them pray over me, and he grabbed my face and he said, "Go and let this be the greatest day of your life." And I think it might have been the greatest day of the world. 1,500 people showed up that day, I truly could never forgive. So you guys, we just got to Phoenix, Arizona. We're going to do something very special tomorrow and we got past your is with us. What are we going to do tomorrow, bro? We're going to baptize over 1,200 people here in the city. It's going to be crazy. I'm breaking records tomorrow, and this is the first thing many. So this is the first one we're doing. We don't know really what to expect, but we know God's going to move. We're already at 1,200 plus, man, glory to God, and we still got people who are going to come and just give up their lives right then and there. So it's 1,200 confirmed, plus whatever's confirmed in heaven. So man, that's beautiful, bro. Beautiful, beautiful. Johnny has already had 1,200 pieces of sushi. Amen, not one lie told. We've done baptisms before, but not at this level. Which of always yells like biggest event than before those baptisms? Baptisms?
I think the most we did is close to 1,200. Oh, okay. This is literally 1,200 people get to baptize them all. It's Arizona record? Arizona record. Wow. Wow. Yeah. Not just Phoenix. Arizona. We actually had a rent in a whole other spot, just for this. Wow. Right? It was too big for the church. They're all getting baptized tomorrow. Really? Yeah. They say we want you and Johnny to baptize them. Oh, that's cool. Yeah, all three of them. Right, I'll go pet. With Johnny's credit card. He's not kidding. Johnny may have some watermelon. Yes, yes. Johnny may have some watermelon. Thank you. Johnny, do you have a cabbage? Yes. Dude, my kids, bro.
Those are all my kids, man, these children. You would think these are grown adults. We're good. Thank you, Aaron. So, what we're about to do is we're going to go to Victory Outreach Phoenix, and we're going to do a sermon. And after that, we're going to do a Q&A where people get to ask customized, personalized questions to me, and then after that, we'll finish out with a baptism. We're going to be baptizing. So far, 1,200 plus people are registered, and that's just people who have signed up and said they're going to publicly declare God. There's also people that may get saved through the sermon, which is what we're hoping for as well. To be honest, I've never done a magnitude this big in terms of baptisms. I think the most I've ever done was like 200 people, maybe 300. You know, however long it's going to take to baptize 1,200 people, that's what we're just going to do. Man, we're going to stay there until Jesus comes back. If that's the case. Dude, Arizona is hot, hot. Yeah, they don't have grass. They just got dirt. I was locked up in Blythe, California. That's literally the border of Arizona. Do you guys know? You guys know. Ironwood stay prison, level 3 yard, and it was the hottest. I was walking in our CDC shoes, like they give us like low wannabe chucks and boots. The bottom of the shoe melted. That's how hot it was.
It was on the concrete. Yeah. The concrete gets that hot? Yes. It's a black asphalt. It's literally super super hot. How many people you think you're going to show up today, Mr. Johnny? I think about 2,000 people will show up today. I think for the for the sermon or I think for the baptized part, it's going to have to be like probably like 3,000 people. There's already so many people here. It is 851. The event starts at 11. The line is already super far. and all of these people are already here, man. Good morning. Good morning. Good morning. Good morning. Good morning. Good morning. Good morning. Man, this is fire. Look at how big this is. Yo, they added so much more. Look at the screen. Hello, Mr. Pastor Israel. What's going on, man? I wanted to tell you something, but more importantly, I wanted to show you something.
This is for you, bro. Heck yeah. Thank you, man. Yeah, of course. I love you, dude. I love you, bro. You guys are family, man. Yeah. Like, no matter what, you know, we're going to win a lot of soles together. Amen. I really liked you guys. The first time that you've been after the first time, I love you guys. You were one of the first churches outside of anybody in our network that just opened the doors. Let's come in. You didn't know us, right? We came in to run it around with cameras this night. You're like, "My team is your team." Yeah. And it was super impactful for us as well, you know? Yeah. I'm from Houston, Texas. I traveled 20 hours to get here. Yeah, we drove him from Tempe. We were on a 45-minute drive. We moved drive anywhere as you'd die. Lake Gelsmert, so we traveled four hours. Actually, I'm from the Middle East.
I came from the Mission of Pakistan. I'm from Ontario, California, and I traveled about five hours to be here today. I'm from Dallas, Texas. Car ride is like 16 hours, probably 17. I'm from northern Arizona at the nomination, and I traveled 222 miles with my son. We traveled from Crown Point, New Mexico. It's about, I don't know, six, seven, eight hours, probably. We're from Washington state, so about, like, 20 hours-ish. My stepdad actually watches a lot of Johnny on YouTube, so he brought the whole family here for this, and we can't wait to see him. I've been here having their half-toses, and I thought this would be a perfect opportunity. I've been Christian for a year now since January of 2025. I found Johnny through the soft light underbelly. And when I was going through a really bad time in my life, and I couldn't trust anybody, but thankfully Johnny showed me the true gospel, and I was able to get the salvation. He helped me to move my mission into the Middle East, and we are more stronger after watching him. Like he's going to the prisons and preaching the gospel, and this is what he impressed me, and he's throwing me closer to the Jesus Christ. Today, man, we're here. This special church feels like home to us. It is home to us. Victory Outreach Phoenix.
We're here with Pastor Israel, man. What we're doing today is we are exactly what it's sure to say, and preaching the gospel, and baptizing Arizona, until everybody is heard, until everybody is baptized on top of that. You start off with a conversation like this, and I'm glad there's two people crazy enough to say yes. No, like, let's do this. I don't know how it's going to be this, it's getting the car, let's go. And I know that I could count on my brother Johnny, and you can count on us, where there's a king of partnership, and the partnership always goes with, let's see soul save. Let's preach the gospel. Let's give people his names written in the Lamb of the Book of Life, and that's what's happening today. What the heck is going on? The first person in the Lamb, I make sure we spend time with them. They drove in from Washington, Washington State. They left on Wednesday, packed up all their kids, got in the car. They're the first ones in the Lamb. That shows you, you know, what God is doing through, you know, of course, the heart, through Johnny, and through just the preaching of the gospel. And just to see how God's using it,
is this amazing. What's up, bro? You ready? What a blessing. You guys are doing such good things. God bless you guys. Thanks for letting me be part of that. Who is bro? Come on now. So George, this is my daughter Angelina. Hi Angelina. And then Natalia, they're getting baptized today. Really? Oh my God, it's so exciting. Who's going to do it? I'm just going to do it. I'm just going to do it. I'm thinking like that. Alright, whatever, pick favorites. So yeah, we got Pastor Israel here. He's the head pastor at Victory Outreach Phoenix. George Janko also. Just a first-time heretic, a second-time heretic here, Johnny Chang. First-time heretic, last-time caller. But you know how I was thinking about it? Today we should be mourning because Jesus is not risen. But we're going to send something back to hell so they could mourn. Because we're stealing 1,200 of their soldiers and bringing them onto our team. Bars, minimum, minimum.
So we're not the only ones mourning. (intense music) (dramatic music) I want you to give a warm welcome to my brother, my friend Johnny Chang. Come on, put your hands together for Johnny Chang. [MUSIC] >> Hey man, guys, hey man, you guys have a seat. How you guys doing, who's is it first time here, first time? >> What? >> First time here, wait, y'all get a shot of that, come on, leave your hands up, come on now. >> Gangs is talking, I'm just kidding, I'm just kidding. Brothers and sisters, my name is Johnny Chang. I'm from the San Gabriel Valley, I'm from LA, anybody from LA out here? LA, Arizona hates, y'all, right? Now I'm just kidding, give it up again for Pastor Israel and Pastor George Janko. >> [APPLAUSE] >> That was beautiful. Brothers and sisters, I wanted to share a little bit about baptism today. But before that, I also wanted to kind of get deeper into why we get baptized. I'm speaking to the people in the room who are feeling that emptiness, feeling that loneliness, feeling that depression inside of their hearts. Anybody feeling that? Anybody, it's okay, guys, it's okay, my eyes are little, I can't really see y'all. It's okay, it's okay, okay? They look, they see good, just not that good, just kidding. All righty, no, I appreciate you guys for genuinely being vulnerable here. And as George had mentioned, we want to have an honest heart today, amen? You guys can feel the frequency when somebody is being real, when somebody's being genuine, when somebody's being transparent inside of their hearts, right? Right, what we've learned so far is that sin is an identity issue, amen, right?
And no matter how much you try to change your identity, can you do it? No, and heart posture is also deceitful. How many times we trusted it, right? And we are learning now that God is teaching us this will. What is the will of God, brothers, is this, have you ever thought about that? He created us, but what was his will? So let's go to one more scripture, and we'll kind of talk about this here. Let's go to Hebrews, chapter 10, verse 10. If you guys are wondering, what is the will of God, why did God create me? There's a reasoning here. It says, "By the which will," so God's will, "we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all." Do you guys know what this means, brothers and sisters? It means God had a will, and his will was to sanctify us. Sanctify, I'll dumb it down for you guys, it's just to be made holy. So God wanted holiness from you, or from the sanctification that comes from Jesus Christ, his son, which one? Yeshua, right? Jesus died on the cross to make us holy. Baptism is simply, guys, an agreement to this. "Hey, Lord, you died for me, even though I don't see you," right? Even though I don't feel you, even though I don't hear you. If you say that's what it is, I'd rather trust you than in myself. Amen, brothers and sisters. When I, Johnny Chang, took my eyes off of the streets, took my eyes off of the homies, took my eyes off of the penthouse that I had, and the money and all that, and the drugs, and turned my eyes to Jesus, transformation came inside of my heart. I changed, brothers and sisters, right? And I want you guys to understand that same change can happen to you guys too, but it takes one thing, it takes us to recognize I'm a person who can't do it, right?
And God has to do it all. Amen, brothers and sisters, right? A lot of people teach, "You got to do this, you got to do that." When you realize, "I can't do nothing at all," right, then you start to kind of grow, amen? Baptism, again, guys, there's three types of baptisms, right? If you guys don't know, there's a water baptism, there's a fire baptism, there's a spiritual baptism. It's found in Mark 3, also Matthew as well, and what it talks about is we're going to do that today. We're going to do all three, right? Some of you guys are like, "Where's the colds really turning the colds like that?" I'm burning you guys, no, right? In the Bible, brothers and sisters, and I'll go through this very quickly, a fire baptism in the Bible when you look at Hebrews chapter 12, you guys don't have to turn to it, you can write it down. Hebrews 12, 29, says God is a consuming, judging fire. So fire represents what? how we are all baptized into one spirit understand guys okay and the water baptism as you guys know is the dunking of the water right all of these work hand in hand when you agree with one thing with the Bible says right and so when you guys think of Noah's ark are you guys familiar with Noah's ark you guys familiar so water represents in the Old Testament let's see if we got Bible buffs in here core of the heart don't say nothing you guys are always like I know that's let's see hey Noah's ark what this what does the what does the water represent in Noah's ark not all at once judgment life somebody said life and judgment new beginning good that's beautiful so the Bible explains the water as judgment amen it was cursed to those people who didn't who weren't in the ark right but it was life to those people who were in the ark amen now I want you guys understand something here the baptism occurred even in the Old Testament sounds kind of crazy right think about it in this way right water represents in
the Old Testament a judgment which can be cursed for people or blessings for people okay now people who are not saved right the reason why we submerge you guys into water ties actually into Noah's ark let me explain right in Noah's ark what's riding on top of the water the ark right and the water takes and wipes out the whole world basically except for how many people eight people amen now do you guys understand that that ties into Jesus Christ and the baptism have you guys thought about that where does Jesus pray when he's in that garden what is it called the garden of what gets them any do you guys know what gets them any means all live press when you press and crush and all live what's left oil what does oil represent holy spirit amen right so when you think about it anybody drink me noodle here me too when you leave it in the refrigerator what separates on top the fat right where he throws it yes a right right the fat right can they ever mix no amen now when you put oil in water can it ever mix no now who was the olive vine that was crushed and pressured and broken for us yes sure and what he left was the the oil which represents what holy spirit that's why he says I'll send the Holy Spirit a comforter amen just like Noah's ark was riding on top of the water which represented curse at that time for the world does it make sense now why Jesus walked on water do you guys understand right understand so in this way Jesus wasn't just like look at me I'm amazing he was fulfilling old prophecy amen when we land in that curse which we're all born into Jesus is the one through the oil in the holy spirit that lifts us out of it amen brothers and sisters agreeing with this today is the true baptism understand what I'm saying guys it's not just the dunking of water when you guys do that it's a public declaration of faith of saying hey Lord the old me has to go into that curse but when I arise I'm a new creature amen brothers and sisters amen so did you guys know that you guys are perfect wait what now this guy speaking Mandarin huh is he speaking Chinese did you guys know what if I was to show you in the Bible that the agreement is that we have to believe in that and that's what the true baptism is and I show you guys that you know we're big on paperwork right gang members check paperwork I'm I can't
say it and not prove it to you guys amen so let's look at Hebrews 1014 we'll finish here Hebrews 1014 says 4 by 1 offering he hath perfected forever them that are sanctified is that what it says amen right let's break this down as we say exegetically. One offering, who is this one offering that came down in Has Perfected. Perfected is in what tense? Past tense. Interesting. Sorry guys. I have a GED education. What does perfected mean? Perfected means perfected is crazy. Who said that? Perfected means perfected. Perfected means Spotless. Perfect. Okay, and it says is it going to be made perfect? Already perfect or was perfect which one? Already, amen. Does it say the word after perfected temporarily? When you mess up again When you backslide again What does it say? Forever. What does forever mean and don't tell me forever means forever? Eternity, right? Forever means what? Eternity. Amen. Now If you believe in this This is believing in Jesus Christ as George had quoted Hebrews 11 1 It says faith is a substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen amen So we learn that our heart is deceitful Thoughts can also play us because they're tied into it. We learn that we're imperfect Thoughts and feelings change every single day, right? Are you guys gonna trust this word of God that never changes? Are you gonna continue following your thoughts? That's what we need to make the decision of today What's up my Asian brother? What's going on? What's up, man? How you doing, man? I'm doing so good. Oh, so good Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. Um, you know, thank you, brother John for coming out here, man
Um, I oversee half of the prisons here in Arizona. I do it as well. Oh, that's very few Asian Christians Oh, for sure in prison ministry, but the prison fellowship and I lead I help leave men's groups in Tucson, Arizona Yeah, and a lot of guys from the streets addiction and things like that What were your practicals and what you did to help break free of that past identity from the street life in that prison mentality? Because I lead a lot of men and you know, they bring sometimes a thing from the road into the kingdom and you know, I'm talking about Yeah, so just for you. What were your um, you know, practicals that you so so practically speaking, right? That's a beautiful question by the way, and thank you for also spreading the gospel. We need more prison ministry for real for a man What I had was a really good mentor I think I was graced with an amazing mentor who taught me how to organize my thoughts, right? I thought about my thoughts, which sounds crazy But I was able to track my thoughts and go where is this coming from? If I follow this what's going to happen when I follow this, right? And I would think about it till the very end. That's called deep thinking a lot of people overthink they go Oh this I'm struggling and they just kind of spiral but you have to think about it Like what's the end result death sadness misery? So I was very lucky to have a pastor do that so you need somebody to pastor you or someone at least to mentor you They don't have to be a pastor But they definitely got to be living better than you and somebody you respect, right? And that's what we do when we go to prison because these men respect this in that way, right? They want to make it where we're at so that's number one number two. I was able to realize that I need grace Right no matter what I do, bro. If God doesn't hold on to me I'm back to being the old Johnny. I know that I know that about myself. You know what I'm saying? We men as in general we struggle with everything that men struggle with pride ego, you know Pastrama lust whatever it is the thing that keeps me grounded and able to speak in front of thousands of people is to go Johnny who are you without Jesus Christ, right? That's what makes me recognize that right and go I'm a person who I can't do anything. I need Jesus for every single thing And so that's why I read the Bible. That's why I pray not because I'm super holy and big brain It's more of hey, Lord. I need you. I can't really do this by myself, right? So step two is to know who you are without Jesus Christ. That's the most important thing
We tend to forget that bro, especially gangsters. I'll share a funny story I lined it up with my homies when I first got up, right? I was like, all right, you know I'm Christian now and you you guys better respect me. I kept that same energy, right? If it was better respect me and they're like, oh, what are you talking about Jesus? What I'm like, he's not white. He's Jewish. I'm like trying to fight him, right? And I said something crazy and my homies will you know if you guys are seeing this they will they will vibe check it Basically, we sat there and I lined it up with them I said if I beat you and fighting you got to come in church with me, right? And I did that bro, and it was bad. It was bad, right? But what I learned was little things like this even though that sounds wicked and evil I went to pastor and he was a you're the dumbest person, I know. I'm like, what, I've told them, what's wrong? Like that's how we pastor, you're not a gang member, you don't know how we handle things, right? And I'm just like trying to make excuses, but that closed all of my homies' hearts. What I recognize, bro, when he used the analogy, which is beautiful, vegetables are good for children. But if you, as healthy as the vegetable is, if you put it on a spoon and you shove it in its mouth, that's abuse, understand what I'm saying? In the same way, when you're leading people, bro, 'cause you're in a leadership role, you have to go, hey, Lord, I'm gonna speak. If they accept it, they accept it. If they don't, that's on you too. 'Cause that's not my son, that's your son, understand? Bro, we're Asian, you know we know for that. Oh, you can eat, bro.
You can't be like, hey, man, check the chow me, man. Her and they start chucking in at them. Chow me in chow. Nah, right? You gotta sit there and be like, chow mein's so good. Fly, lie so good. Everything's so good. Right, you gotta let them eat, bro. You gotta let them eat. Let them taste, understand what I'm saying? The way you carry yourself, I could see it, bro. People will see that and go, hey, he's changed. I wanna know what made him different. And in this way, they open dialogue for you. I never really had to preach to people, it's kinda crazy. I just carried myself the way I did and they're like, "You talk about Jesus?" And they just opened up, bro. So, all right? - Amen, thank you. - Thank you. (audience applauds) This one's gonna be kind of intense. Ephesians 5.11 says, "Don't take part in the fruitful deeds of darkness, but rather expose 'em." - Yeah. - Ezekiel 33 in there says, it's the Watchmen verse where we're called to be Watchmen on a wall. - Sure.
- To warn people about certain things. It talks about dangers that are coming and then it talks about sins of man. And if you do not warn them, and you warn them, and they take notice, and then if they don't, the blood is on your hands or something like that. - Sure. - Lately, I've been doing a lot of research into the Noahide laws. It's led me into more depression and it's like, I'm losing my focus on bringing people to Christ, you know? I'm just, I feel trapped, afraid. And, you know, I'm one of the only people in my household that have come to Christ, and it's hard. 'Cause I can't, I feel like I can't rely on anybody. You know, I mean, outside of God and Christ, you know? I just wish I had somebody to, I don't know, to talk with, like you were talking about a mentor. And I don't have one of those. So I have my Bible and I have Christ and I have my prayers. And my question is this, how do we escape that fear that the world brings when we're alone? - Yeah, amen. So is fear from God? - No, no. - Then who is it from? - It's from Satan. - Would you listen to him? - No, I don't.
- But you already are. - Right. - Do you understand what I'm saying? All he has to do is just plant these. He's a paper tiger, as we say. From afar, you're like, oh my gosh, bro, it's powerful. And then you walk up to it and you're like, understand what I'm saying? Like genuinely, bro, you have to think about it. - Satan doesn't have power. He's a dog on a leash. - That I do, that I do realize. - Right. - And that's why I stick to prayer, you know, constantly. And either even though I am depressed and are down and out and fearful, I pray. - Okay, can I answer it? - Yes, sorry. - God says, all right, you say that. Who said you're depressed? Who told you that? You're buffering. Who told you you're depressed? - I feel depressed, I feel sick. - You go. - And what are feelings to the, are they finite or feelings like important? According to the word of God, are we learned today? - The feelings are definitely not. - Man, but if you follow them, what happens?
- We get lost. - How I feel, how I feel. - 100%. What I'm doing here is I'm as a mentor organizing your heart. I'm trying to make you see, there's really nothing here. Listen, bro, if Satan could pluck you, he'd pluck you. He's not gonna play with you, understand what I'm saying? Satan loves to go here, I have a lot of power, look at me. And then you go, wow, amen, Satan, you do, we don't amen, Satan, though. Right, it's one after another trust map been through it, bro I read the book of Enon. There's three of them. I read the apocrypha I read all these different things right as you had mentioned and all it did was it gave me no faith All it was is it made me a big old brain. Well, the Bible says this but at the same time it was this just hell of the baby I was winning arguments. I wasn't winning souls Right, that's how I feel right. That's how you feel, right? So what I learned for you two verses first Corinthians 2 - right first mark that down First yeah right on your hand bro tattoo it on your forehead if you got to First Corinthians 2 - What does this say it says? Or yeah, you you read it. Let's have you read it, bro For I determined not to know anything among you save Jesus Christ and him crucified who's speaking here Paul Nice Paul wrote 14 epistles. What does he say? He wrote about tongues gift streams visions everything which is important But what does he say read it carefully read it one more time? For I determined not to know anything among you save Jesus Christ and him crucified So what I'm saying that's the only thing he wants to know that's the thing. He's determined to know determined He knows all these other things - he's smart He's led a lot of the apostles his apostles and his disciples made it into the Bible bros goaded understand right, but he goes I don't care about nothing else except who Jesus Christ and him crucified why
why Does it's the only thing that matters? Exactly if I know about the book of Enoch and I know Nefilim Serafim right Nephilim and seraphim's if I know about you know preacher mid-ship poster But I don't know Jesus Christ and him crucified. Am I getting to heaven? No Okay, so what Satan does is he makes us idolize Knowledge you can worship knowledge, bro. Trust me the Asians love worshiping knowledge We're like e equals mc squared Right we love that I had that too. I was just like you first five years on my walk I would argue with people. Oh, yeah, how many wise men are there? Well, there's three Johnny. Oh, yeah Where does it say it's three? It's only three gifts. I went bye Right you have to realize wrote the more you follow your thoughts The more you think I'm smart. I could get this imagine that we're finite, bro How can we understand an infinite God? We're not to understand them. We're to accept him. That's what we're supposed to do Hey, man. Hey, man. Look here, bro You look happier now like I could just see it It's like lifted off for you. Thank you because people are not guiding you correctly Respectfully, right? That's why you have to realize it's not about knowledge, bro. It's all about relationship. Hey father God I'm scared. What are you scared? You all have to work on this I've seen this in just Christianity in general. They keep thinking I gotta do something You have to realize Lord you have to do something for me. I can't do anything Christianity, bro Is not you researching everything? Sacrificing your life for God. That's not what Christianity is Christianity is Jesus Christ God Sacrificing his life for you understand what I'm saying right because if he doesn't die on the cross It don't matter how much you know about certain things None of us are getting to heaven. I could be a good person. Love my neighbor do all that But if there's no blood we're not getting to heaven you understand. That's why Paul. He's like I said He's a G. He's like I'm gonna focus only on that and that's what we focus on and I promise you, bro
You'll be just as happy as everybody who focuses on the gospel peaceful loving all that. Amen. Amen. Thank you guys. All righty Let's go get baptized Let's go We had to cross over from The church to another parking lot, which is where the baptisms were taking place and that was wild because there was like few hundred to a thousand people that walked with us and then there was also like a few hundred people already at that baptism parking lot and Seeing them all lined up made me really really thankful and I was really emotional actually because they were sitting out there And there wasn't really there was canopies in the baptism area But not in the when the lines were extending out to the street Which a lot of you know those people were standing just in the sun that really made me thankful to be like wow They they really do Want to get baptized and they really are filled with the Holy Strip - It was such a treat for people who were sitting there and able to fly in, bring all of their family members. We had like kids getting baptized, babies getting baptized, sisters and brothers baptized next to each other. And then lifted her up. She was smiling. She was so happy and it made me really, really happy. A little emotional, to be honest. It just goes to show that like even kids that young know in their spirit what God is and they understand what those things are, which is amazing. So that really, really stuck out to them. - I feel great, I feel blessed. I feel amazing, I'm just so happy. - They took a good five hours to baptize 1,200 people.
It was just, it was just really, really amazing. It was, it was beautiful. - I'll say this. I had really, really, really big fears before I came here and I actually went to an elder and had them pray over me. And he grabbed my face and he said, go and let this be the greatest day of your life. And I think it might have been the greatest day of my life. So that's honestly my feedback on it. It was amazing, 26 years of the making. I hate that it took this long for me to step the Lord and to my life and my heart. But it's done now and I can't wait to obey him. So I take my last breath. - A lot of people wake up every day and they try not to sin. But what we're supposed to do is wake up every day and try to have a closer relationship with God. It's Christ, right? And that's what I feel like I did right now. And Johnny baptize me and I'm playing, man. So I thank God for that. - I feel wonderful, I'm blessed, I'm energized, we do! - So my name is Julie and I just got baptized by Pastor Johnny Chang. I feel free. I'm free by the word of God, Jesus, I'm free. I'm perfect right to six, five, right now. Thank you, Jesus. - I got baptized because I'm in the spirit of God's Word.
- Well, I decided last minute, he came for him. - I've been thinking about doing it for a while, but I just didn't have the courage to actually step up and do it. But since Pastor Johnny was gonna be here and go with Jinko, I just decided to take the leap, leave his family that way, and she joined the law. - It was the most best experience ever. I did it in honor of my sister that I lost a year ago today. So I did it in her honor to be saved by Jesus. - I always wanted to get baptized since I was a kid. Wasn't able to, 'cause we stopped going to church when I was a kid. I always knew I was gonna come back and do it. I seen Johnny, he's gonna come down, so I was like, I have to. And I've got to excuse not to come anymore. - It feels amazing, like a way lift off our shoulders, just to know that we can do this through Jesus. And that's all we need, it's him. - How did you find Johnny? - I was scrolling on TikTok. I knew God, but I didn't know God. Johnny said not to just trust your thoughts. I said, why? And then I just kept digging, and they got deeper. Like the person I was before, it's definitely not the person I am today, so. - Because of this guy.
- That's my guy. - That's my guy. - That's my guy. - Don't, don't, never forget, okay? - I don't think it's not cool. - It's not easy, go ahead, have a look. (upbeat music) - To see that many people on a Saturday take their time to come out, and to be a part of this historic event is amazing. Personally, it was more like, than God said, I'm with you. It was like, I'm with you, you listen, you obey these are the results. - Was it extra special because your kids got baptized? - Oh yeah. - Right, so, how did you feel about that? - Honestly, my oldest surprised me. My middle and my youngest, I knew they'll do it, but I think that wanted to be a part of it meant a lot. My heart was full in those moments, just because you do ministry, and a lot of it affects everybody else. But then when it affects your home, it does definitely hit their front. My kids actually put me on a journey. All right guys, so it's day two, we're heading back over for Easter service. Easter is such an important day, obviously, Christianity. It's the day that Jesus, you know, His risen, He is risen in His sense, right?
It has risen, but we should treat every day like Easter, we should treat every day like Christmas, in that we honor, honor God, right? The gift from Heaven is Jesus Christ. And that's the gift that truly keeps on giving. I thank God for Johnny and for the entire team, I just want to let you know, I know this is a Resurrection Sunday service, but you're my brother and, you know, our hearts are lockers. Yesterday, if you did not know, history was made here in Arizona. That was the largest baptism that this state has ever seen. And God gets all the honor, God gets all the glory. Come on, God gets all the honor, God gets all the glory. Come on, clap because God is real, clap because God done something. These people came up to me at the Q&A when you guys weren't there. What was like, they were taking pictures. They were genuinely like, you know, like this one guy, for example, he came up to me and he was like, I have, you know, $13 in my bank account right now, and there's, you know, I don't understand, I keep asking God for a sign, you keep asking God for a sign. And like, He's not really giving me a sign. And I don't know if it's because I'm not valuable to Him and love. And right there, that's a transactionalized heart, right? Like, God, I ask you for a sign and then if you give me the sign, then I determine whether or not that means I'm valuable to you or not, right? It's like, but I told him, bro, Jesus died for you 2,000 years ago. How are you not valuable? Like, He gave you something more than a sign. He gave you the cross basically, right? But it was like, I could see that at first it was a little difficult for Him to accept that. But as I just went straight gangster mode, I was like, look, man, and I just kept going. I spent like 10 minutes talking to this guy, right? I was like, respectfully this, and I was like, breaking it all down to him. Finally, he was able to be like, okay, I get what you're saying.
I was like, imagine, right? Like, if you treated other people transactionally, like, how would that make them feel? They wouldn't like it. But we do that to God every single day. And He's like, huh, I didn't think about it like that. And He was like, thankful. But I know that they're going to go home and they're still going to spiral. They're still going to go, man, but I got still $13 in my bank account. Knowing this isn't going to do anything. And that's the hardest thing about like getting somebody to really surrender. Is when this when the situation comes like, I could spit bars for days and people go, wow. But when it comes to the application side of it, that is the most difficult thing for people. It's like, anybody can hear something. Like there's times how many times we've heard a new, I don't know, like idea. And was like, wow, shiny object immediately were motivated. But then the execution is, it dies like right there. Why? Because it's just how we are as humans. We just choose ourselves at the end of the day. You know, so crazy. Welcome. He's reversing. Want to get a Spongebob cone? You guys don't have the Spongebob? Oh, no. Fast. We are at Heroes Park in Glendale, Arizona. And basically, it's a cookout. We're going to hang out with the community. Really interact with them and see what time it is with these people. Give me a scripture.
Hey, bro, let's go. Happy Easter, Happy Resurrection Sunday. Good to see you guys. Pull up if you can. Can I be consistent in my walk? Don't treat anything transaction clear and you'll become very consistent. Look at that dog. That's not a dog. Try to get one of those but he this guy won't let me they're nice, right? All right, so man Okay, okay, yeah, we can we can't but I can give you scripture for your dad Okay, it's a lot better because you can refer it to it always okay, so your dad you love your dad obviously That's why you want to pray for him. I think what's most important is you got to think about your dad as Who is your dad's dad like real dad, who's all of our dads like true dad? God right do you think God cares about him more than you care about him? 100% right do you think he's able to help your dad more than you could help him or I could help him or anybody else could help Right, so would it be smarter than to trust in that father who will help your your father as well? Yeah, and do you think he wants to help your father? 100% right you think he wants to help you you think he wants to help the whole world Yeah, so trust in that believe in that bro. You'll be so happy, okay? All right think about it like that always every time you feel sad be like all right I'm feeling sad, but can God help me with my sadness. Yeah, can he help with me with my father? Yeah, and keep thinking about your dad instead of your soul you get what I'm saying. All right, bro. All right Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, it's difficult being in high school you got babes and all these things happen right like negativity And that's why God has to save All right, I guess appreciate you all right, man. I'll see you guys all right How important and how beautiful it is to have every one of you Having to come on this trip with Aaron made her love How many with Jeremy is like a hide The baptism was the hive
Nothing was low Legit legit. I'm not even like Right Right now we're going to George Janko's podcast. We're going to do a recap of baptized Arizona It's his first ever baptism as well. He was baptizing people. He just had a lot of um like anxiety We're gonna talk about that we're gonna talk about all these different things, man And so it's gonna be cool. We're running it back. This is I think our set well technically our second episode together third episode was But third episode just being with George Janko because we had that Avengers podcast, but second with just me and him essentially so It'll be nice Yeah, let's go Yeah, bro. He's a chunky monkey. He's the best. His name's leer nardo docatrio Hargaining mode All right, what's up guys. Welcome back to the George Janko show, uh, what's up, john county? Isn't it funny that we got each other up just for the cameras, but we've been hanging out here for a minute I what really happened is he got here and I just came out drenched and sweat out of the song Chain chain for 20% off Johnny chain Johnny chain Johnny chain you racist But I was using his name and welcome back. Well, I'll see you guys later guys. I'll see you guys next time. I love you guys You know my legs and my back No, no, I've never done a work on it Like now I understand why john the Baptist was looking good I Had a better p90x body He burned off fat and hell at the same time Personal you know, I wasn't cutting you off was I don't know you bro. You did so good, bro. I'm sure yeah You did good. You're like listening and it was I saw you get the unlock
Yeah More often this camp together strong - Thank you. - Have a good day, bro. get him, get him doing that. So if I ever did, hit the. Wow. Oh, Bob. Bob. Bob and then the question was good. Oh, you got you, you got fluid hips. I'm walking right now. Yeah, do the question mark. Have you seen? You're lying. I'm too short of break. I'm down right now. I'm genuinely impressed. Do you want to see a back one? Yes. I'm just in the ER. I thought I could do it. I know I want that meeting. It's always privilege. We broke the state record. I mean, that speaks for itself. You know, there's no church in history of Arizona that has baptized, at least not recorded, that's baptized over it's even, I think 700 people, right? And it's, we crack, we basically doubled that. So to see that, it only is God at the end of the day, which is wild. Yeah, I want to appreciate everybody that came to get baptized to wait waiting in the sun, you know, dealing with just the lines and we bring crowds. And yet at the same time, I really appreciate everybody for sharing that baptism with all of us as well, that special moment that's really dedicated to you, but publicly declaring to everybody and us being a part of it. A lot of people don't know as pastors, we feel just as special as you guys do, because we're the ones dunking you guys, not, we don't baptize you with our power, but in the power vested in us through the Holy Ghost, right? And the Father and the Son. So it's, it's, it's actually such an honor for us to also baptize you guys. It's cool how like we're all connected and become family that day, eternal. For all the 2100 people, they did not come for Johnny Chang. They didn't come for George Shanko. They didn't come for victory. Our reach pastor is real. They came for Jesus Christ. And so that's the most important thing. [Music] [Music]
