Tests and Trials - Proper Response

TAKEAWAY HIGHLIGHT

In these very challenging last days, tests and trials seem to be coming more

often. God’s refining fire is wanting to purge us, remove the impurities, and

make us stronger for His Kingdom work. It all begins in us individually;

and, the results He is obtaining in us must be clearly evident and impactful

to our families and all those around us.

“We do not have to seek weaknesses, infirmities, tribulations, temptations,

or trials. We already have them. The key is how do we respond to them? We

can fight them, or we can embrace them.” (Chip Brogden)

Are you going through a test or trial right now? How are you respond

ing? Be honest; in light of what you’ve read above, how should you

be responding?

Here is an example of how you might want to talk to God about your

current trial:

Prayer in the Midst of a Trial

Father God, I praise You! I thank You! I love You!! You alone are worthy

of all praise, honor, glory, and power!!!

Thank You for Your Son, Jesus. Thank you for giving me Your Holy

Spirit as my Helper, Teacher, Guide, Friend and Encourager! I need

Him to help me through this time of trial and testing.

Please help me see this test and my circumstances from Your perspective. I

want to rise above all this and see it all through Your eyes. Father, You have

my full attention. I want to learn well the lessons You have for me as I face

this difficulty. I want to grow closer to You.

I trust You. I know Your timing is perfect, and that You are in control.

Help me discern by Your Holy Spirit the source and cause of this trial.

I want to be stronger and more mature spiritually as a result of going

through this test while trusting solely in You. You are my strength!

Thank You for loving me enough to trust me with this test. I want to

please You. In the Name of Jesus I pray. Amen.
