Inmate Asks Why God Is Jealous

Nowadays, people like validate your feelings, you know, individualism, follow yourself. Sure. And he's like, Well, this house only has one master, it seems kind of like a jealousy thing, but they don't understand is in Genesis chapter two. Something I was curious to ask you about. Yes. So they don't eat of the tree of life, right? Exactly. So I was curious to get a further expound, you know, like, what was the purpose of that? Why is it so misconceived that it's about disobedience rather than actually, well, because that's, that seems kind of like a jealousy thing, right? Well, I don't want someone on my level, right? So let me get them out before. Sure. Because when you become your own God, then you lean on yourself, right? So God wants us to understand and he says he has, you know, he's a jealous God. He talks about the spirit of jealousy and Leviticus as well. It's when a person becomes their own master, disobeying the word of God, that's when it becomes an issue. So their disobedience per se was not eating of the apple. It was not trusting that they were their original identity. See, Satan came and makes everybody in this world the same way he did with Adam and Eve, question their identity. If you be like God, if you want to be like God, he says, eat the fruit. What they don't understand is in Genesis chapter two, God already made them in his image. So what he does is he tricks people. No, you're not righteous. There's always more. You gotta do more. And so, you know, they focused on what they saw instead of what God said to them, right? Which is literally the disobedience, if you want to call it that. And when you do that, you then become your own master.

What is the way of the world? It says, lead your life, follow your heart, follow your thoughts, right? God literally says, lean not on your own understanding your thoughts. Trust in me in all your ways. You know, heart is deceitful. You know, nowadays people like validate your feelings, you know, individualism, follow yourself. Right. So God is trying to say that if you want to say that that's the disobedience, a hundred percent that would be disobedient in his eyes. So it's not that he wanted us to not be in his position. He gave us the position to be under him. But the issue is we didn't trust that, at least through Adam and Eve. And that's what's that's all inside of our DNA. We all want to just be masters. We all want to be, you know, creators instead of creation. And so that's why we question, we feel like this ain't fair. And, you know, it's all sadly laced in with us. So, yeah, I mean, God is God, you know, at the end of the day. He wants to be number one. And he I mean, I think he deserves it. Right. But then Satan goes, no, he doesn't. He you deserve it. Right. And so this is the fight here. Yeah. And so they're casted out. And you're right. They weren't really cursed for it. They weren't really.

It's as cursed as a ground for your sake. Our body is made out of dirt. That's why we die. But our spirits are not technically cursed. That's that comes from repentance and trusting in him. Yeah, yeah, because when they trust because they wanted to prior to becoming immortal, the thought of wanting to become immortal was competition with God. And that means, again, I want to be the master of my own destiny. And he's like, well, this house only has one master. Right. So you can't even in prison, like if I want to be the warden and I go against, I'm getting kicked. It's just natural. Right. So, yes, it can be seen as a dictatorship. But at the same time, we're created. Right. So so if I create a cup and the cup goes, I don't want to carry coffee. What's the issue with that? And I'm going to smash it. It's just like I'm you do what I tell you to. But people are right. That's our purpose. It's kind of similar, kind of similar. So, you know, all those books, self-help books always have some hints of spirituality in it. But it's obviously kind of twisted in a way where you remove God out of it. And you're like, I'm now the master. I'm the God. Right.

So, yeah, I've tried. I've tried to live my life as the master, led myself straight to prison. Doesn't matter how smart I was, how cunning I was, how, you know, I was like, man, I'm in prison. I don't murder somebody. That's not good. So I learned I'm not the master. I get it. God, you want to leave. And since I let him lead, life has just been beautiful.
