How Can My Family Forgive My Abuser?

Hi, if we're perfected and whole, how are we going to be judged on Judgment Day? So there's two types of judgments when you look at Hebrews. The first judgment comes off as obviously people who die in their sins after death and they'll be judged. The other one is going to be judged off of righteousness and or sin. So one gets judged from the law of sin and death. The other gets judged from the law of spirit and life. So if you are righteous and perfected, you are then going to be judged based off of that. When you look at Matthew 12, 37, it says, By the fruit of your lips, you will be justified and by the fruit of their lips, you will be condemned. So if you claim to be righteous, then you will be justified. Claim to be a sinner, condemned. That's what Matthew 12, 37 talks about. Thank you. Amen. So I know that God gave us all spiritual gifts, but sometimes how we feel and how we think and how our heart like lies, right? How would you explain it in your opinion? How would you know if you really have like a spiritual gifts or like how can you help people with your spiritual gifts? I think it's God says you will know them by their fruits, right? So I think fruits above gifts is more important. Of course, God will give you guys gifts, be able to heal, speak in tongues, right? And you know, like help people. But I think the most important gift is Romans 6, 23. It says, For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is everlasting life. And that's the gift that he gives to everybody. So you can speak in tongues. That's great. But if you edify the word and the gospel above all of that, that's the most important thing. I think leading them to that is the spiritual, true spiritual gift. All right. Amen. All right. So my question is, so this is just an example. So let's say if I die right now and I'm going to get judged by God, right?

So I'm either going to go to heaven or hell. And let's say if judgmental day is tomorrow, then do I have to get judged again? Judgmental days. Oh, so you're saying true judgment. So if you die right now and you get judged. So there is only just one judgment. Right. So God will obviously, depending on your sins, if you're righteous or you're a sinner, he judges you based off of that. He sees either the blood or he judges you by the works. Right. So you have to. It's just one, basically. OK. All right. That was a deep question. What? How old are you? Ten. Ten. You know what I was doing at 10 years old? I was running from this guy. All right. Good job, though. That's beautiful. Oh, my gosh. So I know you guys talked about it on your podcast one time. But what is the biggest lie that a Christian tells themselves? Biggest lie that a Christian. I mean, that's subjective. Right. It's relative to the person. The biggest lie that I told myself was that I needed to I wasn't enough. You know, God had already called us enough. He died for us. Right. He traded places with us. He was, you know, delivered for our offenses, raised again for our justifications. Roman 425. But Satan would tell me, no, you're not enough. You're never doing enough. You're never going to be enough. And so I live like that for many, many years, spiraling, you know. And so I think that's one of the biggest lies. Not a Christian tells themselves, but the enemy tells us that Jesus' blood, not enough. And your past trauma is still your past. You know, the past is not something that you live in. It's something that you learn from. Right. So we learn and we move forward. But Satan keeps us trapped there. Your past defines you. This is who you are, et cetera, et cetera. So that was the biggest lie I told myself. I'm a gang member. I'm not going to preach the gospel ever. Nobody wants to listen to me. But at the same time, when the word of God entered my heart, I was able to see that, wow, God really renewed me and transformed me. And I followed that instead of my thoughts and my feelings and all that. So, yeah, I would say that was my biggest lie. Appreciate it. Hey, my question is, how do we pursue God for his own sake? God for his own sake. Well, you would have to know the will of God. Right. So the will of God is in John 640, talks about all of us knowing and coming to the knowledge of Jesus Christ.

So what God wants is for everybody to be saved. Right. If you look at First Timothy, chapter one, verse one to four, speaks about this. What is good to God? So if you want to know his sake, his will, you are then to search Scripture, essentially. And Scripture says he wants everybody to be saved. He wants everybody to come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ and to live a sanctified lifestyle. So that's what it would be. All right. Thank you. Good question. Hey, Johnny, how's it going? Righteous man of God is what God claims as righteous a lot of people tend to Interject their thoughts and their feelings in Revelation it speaks about this anybody who adds to the Word of God is cursed Anybody who were moves from the Word of God is cursed. So you have to look at righteousness, right? God said in 2nd Corinthians 5 7 he talks about the righteousness that him who knew no righteousness Who knew no sin became sin for us? Transmuted that righteousness. So righteousness is basically being washed past present future sins all washed away That is sanctified and justified. So that's what it means. Amen My second question for you is how would you personally balance ambition success and faith without one taking over the other? Amen, is it pushing me closer to God or further from God? Right. So if you're sitting here and you're like, all right, I want to make money and I want to make 40 50 K What is your heart posture behind it is it to get you know women is it to get clothes and all that or is it To advance the kingdom, right? It's the same thing with tattoos. It's the same thing with anything Are you trying to edify God? Are you trying to edify self? So when it comes to success, are you gonna be successful for the gospel? Are you trying to be successful to edify yourself above the gospel? That's a no-no. Yeah, so there's a temptation that comes and everybody gets tempted even Jesus got tempted right Satan Try to tempt him on the mountain, but the issue is not the temptation. It's when you agree with the temptation It's when you consent with the temptation. That's when it becomes a problem. So we're all gonna get tempted, right? There's thoughts that come to me Johnny. You should do a line of bumpies booger sugar as it says, right?

That was my thing back then but I think about it. Wait a minute Where is this thought coming from 2nd Corinthians 5 17 says I'm a new creature My old ways have passed past tense, but Satan through my thoughts is telling me no you want this you want that? I have to decide am I trusting in my thoughts? Am I trusting the Word of God? So depending on how you trust who you trust you will fall or you will be edified understand what I'm saying So if you trust your thoughts your thoughts affect the way you feel the way you feel behavior So lustful thought will enter lustful feelings lustful action. A lot of us try to cut it at the action You're supposed to cut it at the root That's why 2nd Corinthians 10 5 says take every thought not just bad thoughts all Thoughts captive and bring it to the obedience of Christ and how you do that is Jesus Christ in John 1 14 is the Word so you take your thought and you go is this thought the Word of God or is it my own thoughts if it's my own Thoughts forsake them if it's the Word of God edify them. Amen What would you say to someone who feels called to share the gospel, but they don't know where to start in Like yeah So when you look at Revelation chapter 12 verse 11 It says we overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony So nobody wants a thumper. Hey, you know what Jesus can do for you, right? I just that they want to see because your testimony is your sermon and it's gonna preach louder Than any word that you speak you understand what I'm saying So the peace that you have the love that you have people are gonna notice that so my youngsters my homies I'm still from my neighborhood. My whole family is from my gang, right? My brother my cousins my uncle was a generational thing. I read it actually at the age of 19 when I became Muslim because we have to read the Bible. But I didn't actually take it in until about 25. I'm 35 now. So I've been saved for 10 years. And I was reading the Bible. I've been able to read the Bible multiple times, but I started at 25. And can I offer you some advice on how to read the Bible? Yes, sir. When you read the Bible, don't read it to understand. Read it to accept. Do you understand what I'm saying? Because think about it. Me and you, we're finite. That means we're limited. The Bible and God is infinite, right? So if you think about a little cup, like let's say that cup over there. If you try to pour the ocean into that cup, even if you pour slowly, will it fit? No, it'll overflow, right? In the same way, me and you, our brain is like that cup. And God's wisdom is like the ocean, so much. So your job is just to accept. And you'll notice as you read, you'll finish Genesis to Revelation one time, two times, three times, four times like that. You'll be able to quote scripture. Read it to accept, not to understand. not going out. We could go eat, but I got to be home by 10. And people who really respect you, first and foremost, they may not like that. My friends didn't like that. They thought I switched up. Your job is to be vulnerable with your friends. As vulnerable as I am, that's how my friends are able to come to me when they're fighting, when they're stressed out, when they're addicted. You have to be vulnerable. Don't live holier than thou. You go up to people, yeah, you guys are all going to this and that. When you do that, people close their hearts to you. They can't come to you. If you show them, hey, I love you, but I also love God. I got to draw this boundary. When they're ready, bro, they will come to you. I guarantee all my friends have done that. All right. Thank you. How do you keep grounded when people are praising you? People are, you know. So I take the example of Apostle Paul. Apostle Paul wrote 14 epistles, 14 New Testament, right, books. And he wasn't even part of the 12. So he did a lot of work and more than the apostles combined. But the one thing he says in 1 Corinthians 1 15, he talks about this. He says, I am least than the least of the apostles. So he's saying that he's worse than Judas because he persecuted the church. What I learned from that was, although I'm doing this, if you strip Jesus away from Johnny Chang, who am I? I'm a gang member. I'm an evil person. So I don't try to jump up there and be like, oh yeah, I did this and I did that. I know myself. I know that I would never follow God. That's just the rule. And so when I see God working through me, I pass all the glory onto him. You get what I'm saying? If you read the Bible, you'll see how the apostles moved. But a lot of people don't read the Bible. What they do is they're

in their feelings. They're not in their word, right? So they feel God, they do this. But the issue is Satan puffs people up too, right? We see Absalom. We see a lot of different People, King Saul, he puffs them up with knowledge, King Solomon, and they fall off. So what I've learned is all of my stuff is not from me. All of you guys learning from God is not from you. That peace comes from the Prince of Peace. That grace comes from the Spirit of Grace. All that salvation, all that stuff, there's nothing we can boast about. For example, if you guys want to worship and praise God, the number one thing you have to do is wake up. That means God has to even borrow His breath to us. If I'm not, if I don't matter how obedient I am, if God doesn't wake me up, I'm not going to be obedient. I can't even sin, right? So if you just remember, oh, everything comes from God, that's how you remain humble. Satan always tries to tell me, right? Like there was a sister that came up to me one time. She's like, oh my gosh, you had a great sermon. It was beautiful. She had tears in her eyes. And the one thing I said to her was, sister, you're too late. She said, too late? How was that the sermon the whole time? What you talking about? I said, Satan already told me that. You understand what I'm saying? Once we sit there, we start to recognize Satan will puff me up. Johnny, you did good. I didn't do anything.

I'm just preaching the gospel. It's not my gospel. It's the gospel of Jesus Christ. Amen. That's how you remain humble. You get me? All right. Thank you, trust me. Of course. Yeah. All right. I got two simple questions. Simple? All right, let's go. One is, can you help me understand what is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit? Because it's an unforgivable sin, so. Yes. So blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. When you look at Hebrews chapter 10, verse 15 and 16, there's a new covenant that's ushered in, right? Hebrews 10, 15 says the Holy Spirit witnessed this. We went over the verses today, Hebrews 10, verse 14, verse 17, right? That you're perfected, righteous forever. Holy Spirit witnessed this. So it's a covenant between two people gathered. It's Jesus, God, right? And us. But the issue is blasphemy is not believing, right? Believing in the Word of God and trusting yourself above the Word of God and that Holy Spirit witnessed.

So when the Holy Spirit witnesses that Jesus died for your sins, for example, but then you say, no, he didn't. Understand? Now we are blaspheming against God who's, then you're calling God a liar, taking his name in vain. A lot of people say that it's taking his name in vain. It's not just saying, oh my God. When you look at Matthew chapter 1, verse 21, it's very clear. It says, a virgin shall have a son. She shall name him Jesus and he shall save his people from their sins. Understand? So the name of Yeshua, Jesus, also means to a savior, to save us of our sins. To sit there and say, well, I don't believe, or like an atheist, or I don't even care about the sin is to blaspheme his name. Are you following me here? Because they're all one, right? The Trinity, we believe three different persons, one being, one nature. So if you blaspheme, it means I don't trust the Word of God that he washed all of my sins. I trust what I think and what I feel. And that's dangerous. Jeremiah 17, verse 9 says, your heart is deceitful. Above all things, that's really wicked. Genesis 6, 5 says, all of our thoughts are evil continually, but God gives us a new heart and a new mind. You have to trust that Word, new heart and new mind above your old creature. Understand? That's what blasphemy is. And the second question is, obviously we hear the apostle Paul say that what I don't want to do, I do. And what I don't do, I do.

So how can we stand our ground and not fall into temptation constantly or fall into sin? Yeah, I continue to read that verse. So you quoted Romans 7, 15. For what I do, for that I do, I allow not. For what I want to do, I don't do. And what I hate, that I do. Right? But then he says, Romans 7, 20. He says, now, if I do the things that I don't want to do, if I do the things I don't want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. So you have to realize, oh, it's not me who's doing it. It's the sin inside of me. So that's why we need forgiveness. That's why we need salvation. Understand what I'm saying? That's how I was able to apologize to my father. My dad beat on me. My dad told me he never wanted me. Stood over me at the age of 10, whipping me. And what I realized through that verse was, wow, this verse is talking about my dad and talking about me. You've done stuff that you would probably regret it. Why would you regret it if you didn't want to do it? Understand? Satan plants those things. Like if I go and I eat steak right now, I'm not going to be like, oh, I regret eating steak. I'm going to be happy. But when I did that line, and when I drank, I regretted it.

Because Satan plants that sin inside of us to do it, and then makes you take ownership of it. Understand? You do not take ownership for something that's not your own. You have to, that's why you have to deny your thoughts, deny your flesh, deny your feelings. That's how you fall away. That's how you stay from falling away from God. Understand? Yeah, perfect. Thank you, man. All right, my man. What does it mean to submit to your spouse as we submit to the Lord? Good question. So a lot of people use that in kind of in a misogynistic way. The context of what Paul was speaking about was the church and the bride, right? So the bride, I'm sorry, in the bridegroom. So we are who's true, who's our true husband? Jesus right so we are to submit to Jesus Christ understand what I'm saying also when it says like honor your parents of course you Should respect your parents, but we honor our parents because we're saved We don't honor them to be saved understand what I'm saying in the same way people try to honor and go look look I'm proving to you that I'm saved no you honor your spouse because you're safe right, but both of you guys have to be Salvificly centered gospel centered meaning I'm gonna put God in his will first And if you put God in his will first as well, we're not gonna fight We're gonna be fine understand, but there's misalignment when someone sits there and goes I'm better than you see I'm more submitted than you and then the other person's like no I'm more submitted than you nobody argues like this hey, babe. I'm more wrong. Okay. They always argue like this. I'm more right You're wrong. I'm right. You're wrong right your job is to submit under the authority of the true husband Which is all of ours is Jesus Christ. Added unto you so your job is not to glorify your man. It's to glorify the man God Jesus Christ amen Yeah So I'm in the medical field and I have goals of going with the specialty of oncology so cancer So how can I bring my faith to my patients and having them accept Jesus and trust in Jesus? while they're actively dealing with their dying like a Intense disease so you have to Spin it in a way that to let them know that God is the healer Right so God heals everything cancer is only an issue to us Cancer is a issue of the sinful nature that we've inherited from Adam and Eve But cancer and sin is not a problem to God understand so your job I would say Isaiah 40 31 is a really really good scripture But you because I do hospices and I go and I go to convalescent homes And there's times where there's HIPAA violations and things like that when you can't really speak about Jesus But you can talk to them about your testimony right and then you can talk about how God has said Wait upon the Lord he shall renew their strength when you pray over people you have to also You know make sure to pray over them biblically so mark 11 24 is very clear right it says Whatever you desire pray Believe and then receive a lot of us. We pray we wait to receive and then we believe it's backwards Understand so when you look at mark 11 so it's a blueprint You don't have to preach to them fully because of how it works There may be people who are Buddhist or do Hindu whatever religion, but you can go to war with them in prayer Understand what I'm saying father God. This is your child. This is my patient, but this is actually your patient father God I believe that you will see you will save him because he sent Jesus 2,000 years ago Right and people get saved by other people's faith for example. There was the man with the palsy Right and his friends broke down the roof and lowered him down in front of Jesus in the synagogue and Jesus literally says Because of the faith of your friends you are healed Understand in that way you can fight for people like them. You know hey, I've been praying for you invite them Do you want to know what I've been praying about? Oh, yeah sure because cancer it eats Have people and it defeats the spirit more than the flesh right there broken

So that's a perfect opportunity to be able to preach the gospel to them and speak to them in this way invite Always be in a loving position not forcing it on to them understand all right All right, man, so my question is how do you do a tragedy? So I went through a situation where I saw a little kid pass away and in my mind I wanted to blame God for letting that happen So how do you differentiate like being mad at God when something like that happens because how can something like that happen to a little? Yeah, of course so we have to believe the word above the Word of God above our thoughts right if you think about your lifestyle You know we don't understand the universe right we don't even know how to maintain our own lives But there's a heart posture here that's enemy plants inside of us We judge God right God makes us stand in the in the position of a servant But Satan makes us stand in the position of God if God is good How can he allow this type of stuff understand that is not from that that is not from God That's from the enemy without even realizing your brother We're amening Satan like that because he's telling us if God is good Why would he do that who are we to question God to be honest? We are creation brother not creator, but Satan has made us think you can do better than the Creator that's why we can judge him understand what I'm saying if I create a You know let's say a cup I created the cup and the cup looks at me and goes I don't want you to put anything in me except water because coffee stinks right the other stuff is sticky You don't know do I'm gonna break the cup understand like we have to submit to the will of God. But when we question God, that's exactly what Satan wants us to do. He questioned with Adam and Eve. Oh, did he really say that? He planted questioning. Understand? Our job is to accept that. We don't know if the child went to heaven or not. This is up to God. He might have went, right? But what's beautiful is when you learn, okay, God, whether you do this or whether you do that, I trust you. That's what he wants, right? It's not, oh, I trust you only if you act this way. That's not love. You understand what I'm saying? Loving God is whether you do this or that, although I don't understand, I'm going to trust what you say. Because to love somebody, you need trust. Understand? You're trying to love him to confirmation, and it's making you tired. It's making you spiral. It makes you empty. As right as you are, brother, you're going to be,

it directly correlates with how miserable you'll be. Understand what I'm saying? We have to be wrong. God has to edify, right? He knows what he's doing, bro. I promise you. I know that you love that person so much, that kid, but who do you think loves him more than you? God. Understand? If you learn that, then you'll have a heart posture to allow everything. Romans 8.28 talks about this. All things work for the greater good to them who love God. So when I see certain things, I see it as all good. I had homies die. I had a friend die in my arms. But what I say is, hallelujah, God, you knew what you were doing. Verse says, man, I hate this. Why did you do that? Why not me? Et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. You just spiral after that, bro. So the first one is, if someone asked me about the Trinity, would I explain it in a certain way or would I simply just say like Father, Son, and Holy Spirit? Yeah, you can say that. People who are asking about the Trinity, you got to tell them to focus more on the gospel. Understand? People who ask these questions, you have to be able to read a person's heart posture. There are many people who come and are truth-seeking, and there are people who are trying to trap set. Understand? They'll set traps. For example, I deal with this a lot. People come and they go, well, if God is good, why does he allow babies to die? That heart posture is already, I'm skeptical. I'm just asking it as curiosity, as a question. But deep down, I already made my decision. So those people, you don't have to answer them. You'll be like, I mean, I don't know. Straight up say that, right? And they'll be like, what? And they get angry. But the whole point is to let them understand. You cannot explain everything to somebody, right? There takes faith to believe, right? And if they're sitting there and they're worried about the Trinity, you'd have to double check. So it depends. If a person's like, you know, I'm really having a hard time wrapping my head around it. Is it modalism? Is it partialism? Is it oneness? How can three be one? This is kind of like truth-seeking. But if someone's like, how can God be three things in one? Now you're understanding, okay, they're hard. They're not even trying to learn. Understand what I'm saying? Second Timothy chapter three, verse 16, 17 talks about this. We don't get into foolish arguments and unlearned questions. Why? Because people are not ready to learn. I can explain something to death, but if they're not ready to accept it, I cannot make them accept it. Understand sister? So your job is to not try to make everybody understand. You could tell them you need faith. I mean, if God wants to be three in one, why can't he? He's God. And I would leave it at that.

And watch them buffer. Let them do that thing because they have to come to the end of themselves. People who question God respectfully, sister, they all think that they're better underneath. That's why they question him. How can we question somebody who created the whole universe? Understand? How can we do that? But their heart is leaking. Oh yeah, I can do it. And they question and it's very dangerous if they don't see it. Yeah. Thank you. The second one is how do I respectfully defend my faith and like correct family members who believe and spread like false doctrine or like resent me for coming to a Christian church? Like should I defend or just be like, okay, and just leave it at that? Yeah, don't defend. Like I said, it goes back to the same question, right? There are a lot of people who they have the veils covering their eyes and God says, I have to lift the veil. You know, these people are also deceived and I see that a lot. Being an influencer, people take 60 second clips of mine and they put it on online. He doesn't believe in dreams and visions. Not true. He doesn't believe in it. Like they're just spinning and I can't go to them and be like, listen to me because they don't want to have dialogue. Understand what I'm saying? Romans talks about mark them and move on. Why? Because they're not ready to actually speak to you. Now, if people are coming and they want to have a dialogue, like I said, truth seeking, they're actively thinking, wait a minute, I'm questioning this a little bit. I just want to know how this gets me closer to Jesus. If these questions are pushing them closer to Jesus, amen, answer them. If it's causing debate and I'm better than you and you know, I'm 1500 years older than you and I'm your daddy, this type of vibe, right? You guys don't know anything. You're Protestant and we're this and that, right? Then you have to be like, okay, respectfully, you can be daddy, then I'm going to go to my daddy. I'm going to go to God. Understand? Amazing. Thank you so My testimony is a little scary. I was aggressively assaulted and he smashed my head nine times against the floor and did very wicked things to me. And one question that I have for you is, for those who haven't forgiven, because I have already forgiven him, I want you to give a message to them to be able to forgive him. Amen. So you forgive not because they deserve it, but because you deserve. I understand. A lot of people forgive thinking that they have to, you know, forgive that person. Of course, God says so, but we deserve to be free from those things. When you hold on to bitterness, it's like you're drinking poison, expecting them to die. Understand that you have to push forward, right? You have to be like, you know what? Although they did those things to me, Jesus forgave those people too. And I'm thankful that Jesus forgave people

like that because me and you, we all fall short too, right? And if he has to hurt them, he got to hurt us too because sin is sin. When you break one, James chapter two, verse 10, you break them all. It says, whether you sin this way or this way, all of us have fallen short. So I was able to forgive just based off of the word. You know, of course we, we compare horizontally, but our job is to compare vertically. Am I as good as Jesus? I'm not. So why am I saying that's like a housefly arguing with another housefly. Understand that the house flies, like imagine one of them is a trash and the other one's in the house and the house flies like, yeah, look at me, buzz, buzz, I'm better than you. You're in the trash, right? But when the owner of the house comes, fly swat, fly swat, both die. Understand what I'm saying? In the same way, we're all sinners too, but God has judged us through Jesus and the blood. Those people sadly probably haven't accepted it. That's why they're living that way. But that same God that changed your life was able to make you and live through that tragedy and forgive can also change those people too. We have to have faith. Amen. All right. Thank you, sister. Just one more. I just need one prayer to pray to him or for him to get closer to God. One prayer. Just one prayer. So more than that, I think we'll leave the word for him. So when I said Mark 11, 24, sister, you can pray, but remember when you pray, believe and then receive, okay? Don't pray, wait for him to change and then believe. Believe that the change is already there because God is not constrained to time, space, and place. Understand? So God has already changed him. Second Corinthians 5, 17 says he's a new creature, 100%. But don't look at him with your eyes. Rather, my mother did this to me. I was, you know, not a Christian. My mom used to call me a monster. That was my name. She's like, you're a monster. You're a monster. You went to prison for this many years. You're from 12 to 25. You were locked up and you didn't change. What's wrong with you? She would say that. But one day it was weird. It was like about a year after I got out, she stopped calling me a monster. My mom started to say crazy stuff. You're the world's best gospel preacher. I'm still clutching, stepping on bricks. You guys don't know what that is. Ask the cop. He knows. Back then, right? I was doing these evil things. I literally thought my mom had schizophrenia. She sat there, said, you're, you're gonna be a gospel preacher, Johnny. You're going to. Because her faith obviously was huge, right? In that same month that she said that, all these things started happening in my life to change me. My friend died. My other friend got killed. My other friend committed suicide. I felt death around the corner and I was able to come to God and come to life, right? So you have to have more than a prayer. Believe. Faith is

more powerful. And even in your prayer, you have to have faith. Lord, I forgive this person. This person will also come to you because you've already saved them. Father God, thank you. So don't pray. Fix it, prayers. Understand? Fix this, God. Fix that. Pray. Thank you, prayers. Father God, thank you that you already died for them. I can't see it, but faith is the substance of things. Hope for the evidence of things. Not see. I believe, Father God. I believe. Understand? Okay. Okay. Hey, how are you doing, Johnny? So your name is very dear to me because it's like the closest thing I've had to a father figure. His name is Johnny as well. So the question I have is, I'm sure I'm not the only one who's heard God's voice here. Now, how do you discern God's voice between your own voice and it's not just your own mind or you talking to yourself? Through the word. So Hebrews chapter 4 verse 12, if you want to look up the scripture, is very clear. It says, the word is sharper than any two-edged sword, dividing them to the asunder of the souls and the spirits. So he divides, the word divides, whether it's an evil spirit or the Holy Spirit. And it says, the word is a discerner of the heart and intense of the thoughts, right? So word of God discerns, right? And so when you look at the Holy Spirit. People say, Holy Spirit spoke to me. Amen. But how did it speak to you? Because in John, it talks about the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth. It shall lead you to all truth. Well, what is the truth? John 14, verse six says, I am the way, the life, the truth. What does that mean? It's Jesus speaking, right? So then Holy Spirit, truth, leads you back to the truth, Jesus Christ. But who is Jesus Christ? John 1, 14. It says, the word was made flesh, dwelt among us. So what is it then?

Holy Spirit leads you to the word. It's kind of like puzzles, okay? When you read the Bible, you start to break it down exegetically. But if you wanna listen to God, the most accurate way is through the scripture. That's what it means, right? So even the voice, if it doesn't align with scripture, you can't follow it. So in the same way, it has to align with scripture. Hebrews 1, 1 says, in the past, times past, God has spoken many ways and diverse manners to the prophets. Of course, dreams, visions, all that. But in these last days, it says, has spoken to us through the Son, right? So the Son is Jesus, again, the word of God. So that's why people died for this word. They were crucified upside down for this word. They were murdered to keep this word, this covenantal word of God, to bring it to all of us. I super respect all the apostles because they died for this. They were martyred for the word. Understand what I'm saying? So yeah, Satan is an angel of light. He can actually disguise himself as an angel of light. 2 Corinthians 11, 14. What this means is he can play tricks. So that's a very good question. That's why you have to go to the word.

Satan can never, ever take the word as surrender. He'll use the word to push you away from God. God's word, Holy Spirit, will bring you closer to God. So the voice that brings you closer to God is from the Holy Spirit. The voice that leads you away from the enemy, okay? All right, brother. Thank you. Thank you so much, and God bless you, Johnny.
