Anyways, so Oh First of all, I want to say this congratulations to miss Catherine Thrasher We got all kinds of certificates from you that you've been getting sister I have I pretty much have a whole binder of your certificates now, which is pretty cool because I'm really really proud of you sister. It looks like to me. It seems like you have just been busy and you know, that's so important I got it I got a hand it to you because When you keep yourself busy when you stay busy and I I can tell that you have been very very busy not only in Keeping yourself edified and the things of the Lord but keeping yourself educated Too and that's really really important, but not just that you sending us your
Your certificates and the original so I just want you to know that I'm taking care of those and I'm actually putting them all together But I have at least 15 to 20 of your certificate is cool So I'm not sure if this is something that's offered outside of your facility or your facility Offers this but it says Mount Hope prison ministry certificate of completion They all say that same thing but different different Classes different courses. Yes. So this is a book of Revelation. This one's the book of Romans all Mount Hope prison ministry acts of the Apostles Through the Bible seeking and searching the gospel of John Walk the talk I like that name and Basic Bible beliefs all of these are the you sent the actual certificates. Yeah, and here's the thing Every single one of these is a different month. Yeah, they're all different months So you did these one two, this one goes back to 2023. Yeah, four five six seven eight These are all eight months and they're all different months and even the ones that you sent me before We're all different months. So that means that every single month That you're there You are occupying your your mind your heart You're doing something sister and and that is important so keep doing what you're doing Very very important. We're so proud of you. We have we really really are god bless you Yeah, and then we got your letter too. So thank you for writing us. Yes. God bless you sis okay, um, I wanted to do a special prayer for somebody and I'm just gonna say Anonymous request ask for prayer and I want to pray he is in Eastern, New York correctional facility, Napa, Noche, New York and This is to Timothy Ramirez I wanted to pray for you brother because I know that you have been seeking Like just seeking I'd say and and being interested in Islamic teaching, but I want to pray for you anyways brother because first of all
We're called to pray. We're called to pray for all those That are seeking God, you know, and I just want to say this is that before I pray And I don't know if somebody's gonna I don't know if you watch us or maybe somebody will watch it hear your name And then they'll tell you to watch it I don't even know how you feel about it about being prayed for Timothy but I just feel it in my heart that it's important because You know, I heard something the other day and it was that the only One that doesn't ask you to die for him instead. He died for you is Christ Following Christ Can be hard following Christ can be hard, especially in a situation of incarceration because everything in you Wants to to defend yourself To be the strongest To be because it's it's about survival. It's about survival in the place where you're at and I get it I've been there I get I haven't been where you're at, but I have been in that situation and It's like it feels like everything in Christianity is the opposite of what you need to be in prison And I get that and it just seems easier because it's like why would I want to follow after something? that's gonna ask me to change who I am and and almost make me look weak in a situation like prison and It's almost seems easier to follow after a belief system. That doesn't make me change where I could still I Could still be defiant I could still be these things that I am You know, but I want to say this is that It wasn't it wasn't the fear of hell that caused me to surrender my life to the Lord It wasn't none of those things For me what I couldn't comprehend what what I still sometimes can't comprehend Is after everything I have done Every play every every way I've hurt other people destroyed other people that he still loves me I Can't fathom it. It doesn't make sense to me. It doesn't make logical sense
But here's the thing if God could make logical sense he ceases to be God Because his ways are above our ways his thoughts are above our thoughts and we could never understand or comprehend why or how? He would want to forgive somebody like me somebody like you somebody like all those who are incarcerated and Some of us that turn our back away and we become atheists would become Muslims or we become whatever it is We become and he still cries out for us Timothy I don't know your life. I don't know your situation. I don't know your heart But clearly if I'm sitting here talking to you directly Then he's still crying out for your name He says he leaves the 99 to go and seek after the one and he goes and calls your name and Refuses to come home until he finds you and when he finds you he puts you over his shoulders and carries you home. I Don't know what that means. I don't know what that means to you. Maybe it means nothing. I have no idea I'm just wanting to be obedient to the Lord and What he is telling me to tell you is that he sees you He sees you still And no matter how far you run You can't run away from him He will seek you he will find you he will call out your name. So my prayer is That you will start to receive dreams From him So, can we pray for him real quick Lord, I pray for Timothy Ramirez in the name of Jesus right now. Yes, not only for him But for all those that are around him Lord I pray in the name of Jesus that you give them visions and dreams tonight That they know that they know that they know who you are Lord Because you are truth. You don't have the truth. You are truth. There is no other truth other than you Lord and I know something in a word of God, some things in the Bible just doesn't make sense to man's mind. But Lord,
it's because we are blind. So I pray in the name of Jesus for the blinders to come off and reveal yourself to him and who you are, Lord. I thank you in Jesus' name. Amen. Amen. All right. So um, we are going to get into some letters. Bernard Fisher, Westville, Indiana. And man, first of all, I want to thank you for giving us a chance. He said that he first saw us. He just giggled. I don't know what that means. Maybe I made him laugh. No, before he even clicked on us. So he said he was used to seeing these big old churches. And I don't know if we were just in our little podcast room. I don't know what he didn't say why he giggled, but either way, man, I'm so glad that you finally stopped and you and you love it. Thank you so much. Yeah. And and I like that you said that, that we help you understand the Bible. Yes, I'm sure you do. Well, I've always told David that even when I came to to meet him, I always told him you simplify things in a way where it just makes it so understandable. And it makes it I always say it's layman terms, you know, in the way that you make make it so understandable. And I think that's so awesome because sometimes I remember there was a time that me and you were driving in the car and we were listening to the old school preachers. Yeah. And I remember that I broke down. I literally broke down crying. And I told him I told him one thing. I said, this this is what's needed to go back to the basics, you know, to for things to be simplified. Why has why have people made the word of God so hard? Why have they made the gospel so difficult when the word of Jesus in the gospel is so simple, you know, and they have made it so difficult now in days where, you know, they they want to take something, you know, and they want to take healing and they want to take deliverance and they want to make everything so difficult now in days and they want to make it about one thing and then about another thing instead of just just talking about something that is just so simple. When when Jesus came, he talked about, you know, about himself and about what a miracle was. And when people, the preachers back in the days, they talk about, you know, their testimonies and what Jesus did in their lives and the miracle that they did in their what Jesus did as a miracle in their lives and just talked about their testimonies and how simple it was. And nowadays, everything is just so difficult. And I love the way that you have just simplified things. And that's what really allowed me to learn so much about my identity. And I love that, you know, like, why can't that be just simple? You know, I think, guys, one of the old school preachers she's talking about is David Wilkerson. Yeah. David Wilkerson was the guy that went to New York in the 50s and ended up
bringing Nikki Cruz to Christ. Nikki Cruz ended up. So David Wilkerson wrote the book, The Cross and the Switchblade. Nikki Cruz ended up being a world renowned pastor now. And then he started Teen Challenge, who brought Sonny Argonzoni, who started Victory Outreach. And I grew up with Victory Outreach. Yeah. So matter of fact, guys, right now I'm going to play one of the clips of David Wilkerson. It's called Anguish. And I want to show that to you. You remember that clip? Yes. So it's just a voice. You won't see him, but it is very, very powerful. What minute is that at? At 14 minutes and 10 seconds. Here it goes. And I look at the whole religious scene today, and all I see are the inventions and ministries of man and flesh. It's mostly powerless. It has no impact on the world. And I see more of the world coming into the church and impacting the church rather than the church impacting the world. I see the music taking over the house of God. I see entertainment taking over the house of God. An obsession with entertainment in God's house, a hatred of correction and a hatred of reproof. Nobody wants to hear it anymore. Whatever happened to anguish in the house of God? Whatever happened to anguish in the ministry? It's a word you don't hear in this pampered age. You don't hear it. Anguish means extreme pain and distress. The emotion so stirred that it becomes painful. Acute, deeply felt inner pain because of conditions about you, in you or around you. Anguish, deep pain, the sorrow, the agony of God's heart. We've held on to our religious rhetoric and our revival talk, but we've become so passive. All true passion is born out of anguish. All true passion for Christ comes out of a baptism of anguish. You search the scripture and you'll find that when God determined to recover a ruined situation,
He would share His own anguish for what God saw happening to His church and to His people, and He would find a praying man and He would take that man and literally baptize him in anguish. You find it in the book of Nehemiah. Jerusalem is in ruins. How is God going to deal with this? How is God going to restore the ruins? Now, folks, look at me. Nehemiah was not a preacher. He was a career man. This was a praying man. And God found a man who would not just have a flash of emotion, not just some great sudden burst of concern that they'll let it die. He said, No. I broke down and I wept and I mourned and I fasted. And then I began to pray night and day. Why didn't these other men, why didn't they have an answer? Why didn't God use them in restoration? Why didn't they have a word? Because there was no sign of anguish. No weeping. Not a word of prayer. It's all ruined. Does it matter to you today? Does it matter to you at all that God's spiritual Jerusalem, the church, is now married to the world? That there's such a coldness sweeping the land? Closer than that. Does it matter about the Jerusalem that's in our own hearts? The sign of ruin that's slowly draining spiritual power and passion?
Blind to lukewarmness. Blind to the mixture that's peeping in. That's all the devil wants to do is get the fight out of you and kill it. So you won't labor in prayer anymore. You won't weep before God anymore. You can sit and watch television in your family. Go to hell. Let me ask you. Is what I just said convicted you at all? There's a great difference between anguish and concern. Concern is something that you, the biggest interest in. You take an interest in a project or a cause or a concern or a need. Let me tell you something. I've learned over all my years, 50 years of preaching, if it is not born in anguish, if it has not been born by the Holy Spirit, where when you saw and heard of the ruin that drove you to your knees, took you down into a baptism of anguish where you began to pray and seek God, I know now, oh my God, do I know it, until I'm in agony, until I have been anguished over it. And all our projects, all our ministries, everything we do, where are the Sunday school teachers that weep over kids they know are not hearing and they're going to hell? You see, a true prayer life begins at the place of anguish. You see, if you set your heart to pray, God's going to come and start sharing His heart with you. Your heart begins to cry out, oh God, your name is being blasphemed. The Holy Spirit's being mocked. The enemy is out trying to destroy the testimony of the Lord's faithfulness and something has to be done. There's going to be no renewal, no revival, no awakening until we're willing to let Him once again bring us back to life. Because, folks, it's getting late and it's getting serious.
Please don't tell me, don't tell me you're concerned when you're spending hours in front of internet or television. Come on. Lord, there's so many to get this over and confess, I am not what I was, I'm not where I'm supposed to be. God, I don't have your heart or your burden. I've been, I wanted it easy. I just want to be happy. But, Lord, true joy comes. True joy comes out of anguish. There's nothing of the flesh will give you joy. I don't care how much money, I don't care what kind of new house there is. Absolutely nothing physical could give you joy. It's only what is accomplished by the Holy Spirit when you obey Him and take on His heart. Build the walls around your family. Build the walls around your own heart. Make you strong and impregnable against the enemy. God, that's what we desire. Okay, we're back. Wasn't that amazing? See, these are the types of preachers I listen to, old school preachers. That was probably recorded in maybe 70s, 80s, maybe 90s at the latest. Powerful. It's just simple and powerful and just, you know, and here's the thing, it touches the core of your heart and your soul, you know, it just does something and that's what I just don't understand because nowadays they want to bring these big words and they just want to make everything so hard to understand and why can't they just simplify and just, man. Amen. Okay, next is James Owen, Avanoff State Prison.
And I just want to thank you, brother. Thank you for your letter and the things that you said and shared and appreciate you and hopefully we continue to hear from you. Amen. It was a nice drawing. I know, beautiful. Albert Espinoza, Imperial County Jail in San Bernardino County, but he said he was close to the border. Oh, okay. You know, but yeah, we want to continue to pray. His mom needs hip replacement, needs it. Yes. So we see you, we're going to add her to our prayer request, brother. Thank you. Ricardo Zamora, Estelle Unit, Huntsville, Texas. And this is the brother, remember, he was saying that he was serving the Lord, but as things dwindled down in his 50-year sentence because he said, man, I didn't do what they said, and it just feels like he's lost all hope. And I get it, man. I know the frustration. I mean, I've never got sentenced to that much time, you know, but I know that feeling because it almost feels like you're losing oxygen and you're fighting your case and you go to appeal and everything gets shut down, your motions get shut down and all this and that, you know. I get it. I get, you know, but I think that ultimately this is what I learned, and maybe this will help you, maybe it won't. I don't know.
I used to expect things from God, and when it didn't happen, I would be let down by God. And I heard a preacher say one time, he says, instead of depending on the blessing, depend on the blesser because ultimately none of us deserve even salvation. It's almost like that saying when they say it's not who you are, it's whose you are. Yeah. Yeah, exactly. And, you know, so, and I know that's hard, and maybe it's easy to say on this side of the lens, on this side of the camera, but we have to settle it in our minds. Are we going to serve him regardless of our situation? Because when we serve him because of our situation, we're always going to be let down. I don't know why he does what he does or doesn't do what he does. I don't know. I wish I had those answers, and I think that's what you're saying in essence. But one thing I do know is after. Three days he rose in power. I do know that he offers us salvation. I do know that he will bless us. Maybe those blessings aren't the way we want them to look like. Yeah, that's probably because we don't understand what the blessings are. Yeah, you know, but man, I'm gonna just, we're gonna keep you in prayer, brother. We're gonna pray for, you know, the strangest things happen sometimes
to people that are seeking God, you know? And sometimes it is serving your whole sentence. Sometimes all of a sudden something happens and something changes. I don't know. I don't control those things, you know? But I just know that God is faithful. We just continue to hold fast. We continue to have faith in him. You know, I never understood. I never, never understood why the things that happened to me as a little girl that happened to me. And I never to this day will ever understand that I wouldn't change. I would not change. People tell me all the time, if you can go back in time, would you change the things that happened to you? I would not change it. And I'll tell you that I would not change it. But it would be easy for you to say, God, where were you? You know? Why did that happen? Why didn't you stop it, you know? I, it could be easy, but I don't think I'd want to ask. Or, you know, there's no sense in even asking why or anything because it'd be hard to comprehend. But the thing is, is that I don't even ask. I don't even, I wouldn't even want to change it because it really truly has made me the woman that I am today.
And it has made me the person that I am. I think that if I would not be who I was today, then I don't think I could have reached all the women or reached the young women that I've been able to reach today. There's been so many young women that have opened up to me. There has been many young women that have come forth with a lot of the truths that things have happened to in their lives because of my story. There's been so many people that I have been able to reach through my testimony. There's just been so many things that have happened in my life because of that. My children are who they are because of the hardship in my life today because of that. You know, and there's even men here and women here that I see letter after letter after letter, you know, that it has been amazing, the stories and the testimonies that are coming forth because of, you know, the testimony that I have been able to share. So I'm thankful and I'm grateful. So I think a lot of the times we look at the present of what's going on in our present time or in our past time, but don't even realize that because of the past or because of the present is what's gonna create our future. And we don't realize it yet. So all I can say is that what we gotta do is just be thankful and grateful for our past and our present.
Just be thankful for it. Yeah, for me, things I've gone through in my life are bittersweet. For instance, I think like, man, you know, like I feel that the repercussions of me being in prison in some ways still affect me with my relationship with my kids. Do I wish our relationship was better? Of course. At the same time, if I hadn't gone through that, I wouldn't have been saved. If I hadn't gone through that, some of you that got saved because of the podcast wouldn't have got saved because I never would have done a podcast. I never would have met Sharon. Because of my hardships, I met her. So it's a bittersweet because I can sit here and say, man, you know, if I didn't go to prison, if I would have just raised my kids. You know, you play the what if game and it changes everything. And so when I do that, I realize then I end up losing blessings I have now because I would have never come to that fruition of it. You know, and so. But do you think sometimes we sometimes do the blame, the blame game sometimes as well, because sometimes we don't realize that maybe the Lord is wanting us to pull forward from that.
Remember when there was a time where I said, well, sometimes we parent. a guilt sometimes. And sometimes we need to push forward from that, but it's us ourselves that are holding ourselves back from that and not realizing that we, sometimes the Lord is telling us that we need to, unless we take the first step to make the change, then change ain't going to happen. And sometimes we're the ones that are holding ourselves back from that because we're still living on that guilt instead of moving forward and being like, man, I got to make that first step and not live out of that guilt parent or live out of the guilt from yesterday. And I think we're the ones that are sometimes keeping ourselves there. We do. And a lot of the times I believe that we do do that because I did that for a very, very long time because I felt like I was living in the abuse from my past that I myself felt like I had put my kids through so much of them seeing me be abused for so long in the past that I was guilt parenting for so long. And it was my fault and my fault and my fault that I finally had to get over that and be like, you know what? No, I'm not going to allow myself to do that anymore. Yeah. And I had to make the choice and be like, you know what? No, I'm not going to let my kids treat me this way. I'm not going to let them, you know, make me feel and I'm not going to guilt parent anymore. So I had to step out of it and be like, OK, I made the choice. So I think sometimes we have to make the one be the ones to make the choice. Yeah. So, yeah. All right. That's it, guys. No, just kidding. You know, I just noticed liquor Kool-Aid madness. I know. He started off here last week at the end of the table. Now he put himself in the very center of the nativity set waving. Well, let's be real. He didn't put himself there. We put him there. I thought he moved on his own. No, ma'am. That goes to move the chair. All right. Zachary Howell, Jefferson City, Missouri. I remembered he has a joke on here. And but he says that next time we go to Kansas City, Missouri, we got to stop at Gates Barbecue and it'll be the best barbecue ever. That's a that's a bold statement. Very bold. That's a bold statement. Bold, bold, bold. He has a joke. OK, this here your joke. He's from Missouri. Let's hear your joke. OK. Oh, and he has a question. I bet it gets to where's the joke. Come on, babe, I gave you a highlighter today. Thank you. Why did you use it? Did you have a joke? Oh, it's right here. Yeah. What do you call a cow with two legs? Lean beef.
What do you call a cow with no legs? Ground beef. And what is a cow with four legs? A cow, a cow. I love cows, guys. Today, I bought myself a cow, a cow tumbler, and I got myself a cow. What is it, a cow cross? Yeah, I love cows. He wanted to shout out people at Leavenworth Federal Prison, Ray Ray, Fats, Duke and Scott G. And also he has a question. What is the best books of the Bible to start with in New Testament? I'm always going to say the Gospel of John. After you read John, I would say the Book of Acts. After the Book of Acts, I would say the Book of Romans. Those are the three that I would say in the New Testament to read. After that, then I go to Matthew, Mark and Luke. And no, we don't reject you, brother. You are welcome here at House of Rest. OK, Jared Moore, Huttonsville Correctional Center, Huttonsville, West Virginia. Thank you. I am going to read the letter to House of Rest, actually. Thank you so much for that. Adrian Garcia Estes Unit, Venus, Texas. Thank you so much. We're going to pray for your mom who has stage four cancer. So we're going to be praying for her in the name of Jesus. And, you know, it's a good question. So the brother was asking how I'm sure he's saying this because I say this because I always say you just got to surrender. Right. But it's a good question. How do I surrender? Because I want that heart of flesh. I don't want a heart of stone. You know, and, you know, for me, I say it like this and maybe this is going to help or maybe it's not. But if I go to the cemetery and I start offending, saying offensive things to all the people there, how many people are gonna argue with me and fight me? Nobody. Because what? Because they're dead. Because they're dead. Paul says, it is not I who live, but it's Christ who lives in me. So the sooner you realize that you, when you give your life to the Lord, you are enslaving yourself over to him. He redeemed you. He paid for you from your previous slave owner,
who's Satan. By default, you're gonna belong to somebody. Somebody's gonna own you no matter what. So here's the thing, right? So I love the fact that when you get baptized, whether just the act of baptism means that you're burying your old self. Well, I, for 22 years, guys, for 22 years, I had not surrendered. I had pretty much, I had given my life to the Lord. But guys, when you just give something, you can take it back, right? So I never really truly knew what a true surrender, what a full surrender was, because I never really understood what a full surrender was until I knew who I was in Christ. So it was almost like I was walking around with these glasses who were constantly foggy all the time. And when I did come to meet David and he really began to teach me in scripture what a full surrender was, and in Romans 6, 8, and it talked about how you die. And then once again, when you resurrect, and it just, I began to learn my identity. I was like, okay, wait a minute here. So are you telling me that my identity is in him, that I'm hidden in Christ? Are you telling me, I just began, you know, and it just, everything began to make sense. That's when things just began to change for me.
I started to see everything completely different. Like my glasses, it almost seemed like my spiritual glasses, my spiritual lenses just began to become clearer and clearer. I was no longer, it was almost like the blind leading the blind, you know, it began to make sense to me. I'm like, how come I didn't see this any sooner? But it all just made sense now, because until you know your identity, then you're really not gonna be fully able to 100%, 1,000%, 1,000,000% fully surrender. And I was able to understand what a full surrender meant. So it is so beautiful when you can fully surrender everything to him, because when you fully surrender, it isn't even, it's not even an everyday, like, oh, every day you have to wake up and think like, oh, I gotta change this today, or I gotta, no. It's like, your whole life is just completely, completely, your life, the way you live life differently, like everything else that you do is secondary to the way your life is every day. You live your life for Christ every day without even second, there is no plan B. Yeah. There is no plan B, period. Guys, that's it, there's no plan B for anything else. I'm gonna make it real simple. So I know a lot of you, I don't know you yourself, brother Adrian, but maybe, let's say you like sports, football, baseball, basketball, whatever it may be. Now think of your favorite sport, favorite team, I mean.
And you're a diehard whatever team that is. Do you have to struggle with that every day? Do you have to remind yourself, oh man, I'm a fan of this team, or do you struggle and some days you wanna be a fan of that team or a fan of that team? You don't struggle with it. Like here in California, there's a lot of Niner fans, Texas, Dallas, Texas fans, and Raider fans. Well, it goes a little bit further, though. What's that? I wake up every day knowing that I'm a woman. Yeah. I know I'm a woman. I don't have to tell myself every day that I'm a woman. I wake up and I know, like, Lord, I know what you created me to be. In essence, what we're saying is we've surrendered to it. You're a woman. There's no question about it. the team you like, or whatever it may be, there's no, you don't struggle with it, so why is it when we come to Christ, we want to struggle with it? Just fall into it, be the leaf that goes into a stream, and it takes you where it takes you, you're surrendered to it, you know? And now, another thing I wanted to mention to you is that you can't allow people to get you in the flesh. And, you know, our daughter,
one of our daughters is a nurse, and she can get treated very rudely sometimes if she happens to be in the ER, why? Because people are hurting, people are in pain, people are sick, people are irritable, it's in the middle of the night, things like that, right? So here's the thing, the doctors and nurses, they know and understand that you're probably a good person, but you're cussing me out because you are not in your element, you are in pain right now. That is not who you really are, okay? In the same way, you can't allow people to bring you out into the flesh because they are hurt, they are in prison, they are irritable, something happened to somebody, a family member, they got bad news, or maybe they're hungry, they don't have money for commissary, for whatever reason, man. You gotta put yourself in the perspective that, remember Jesus himself, what did Jesus pray at the cross? He says, forgive them. For they not know. For they not know what they're doing. And until you have that perspective of all the lost people in that facility, you're gonna be mad all day long at everybody, and you're always gonna allow everybody to get you out into your flesh.
You gotta change your perspective. The Bible says that you're in heavenly places in Christ Jesus, but we wanna serve Christ down here. But when we serve Christ down here, we're always fighting the flesh. The scripture says that we're in heavenly places. All right, brother, thank you for writing us. Okay, Teo Crazy Bull. I'm gonna take you, you're Native American. God bless you, we love our Native American brothers. Sioux Falls, South Dakota. And he's the one that says he wants someday for you to sing Amazing Grace. Amen, I think I can do that. That's a beautiful song. Yeah. Juanita Venningson, I forget how you say, I know last time you told us how to say your name, Gatesville, Texas. Thank you so much for the card. She made that homemade card. I know, that's beautiful. But she does have three jokes. This is the Grinch, right? Yeah. You're a mean one, Mr. Grinch. Okay, in a very passive tone, little Johnny hesitantly asked Miss Jones, would you punish me for something I didn't do? Of course not, Miss Jones replies.
Great, because I didn't do my homework. Joke number two, little Johnny's mother disappointingly stares at a big red F on little Johnny's latest math test. Why such a low grade, son? Because of an absence, little Johnny answers. You mean you were absent on the day of the test? No, but the kid who sits next to me was. John. Joke number three, Miss Jones writes 10.9 on the blackboard and then erases a decimal point to show the result of multiplying this number by 10. She then asks, little Johnny, where's the decimal point now? Little Johnny answers, it's on the eraser. That's a good one. Amen. I like that one. All right, Jesse Deer, Bowling Green, Missouri. And thank you, thank you for letting us know that you're learning a lot from our content. You know, we put so much into everything that we do from our sermons, Bible studies, podcasts, road trips. Our whole thing is a teach, you know, so when we hear somebody is learning, we appreciate hearing that from you guys. Thank you. And Sean Noline, Telford Unit, New Boston, Texas. You sent a blank letter, there's nothing in here. So I don't know if it got lost or it's invisible
and I can't see it. Wait, I think maybe they didn't let it come through. Well, look, there's tape on top. So somebody taped it. So there is tape on top. So I don't know if it got lost in the facility. I don't know, it got delivered and it's empty. Aw. You know how sometimes they read it and then it's- No, they wouldn't have sent it. It makes me feel like the mail, why would the prison send it without a letter in it? So maybe it got lost in the post office. Makes no sense. George Augusta, Cameron, Missouri. And love the ornament. That's that ornament, remember? Yeah, oh, by the way, since you're sending an ornament, guys, I'm gonna keep the tree up for another few weeks because I really wanted, there's a few more ornaments that came through, and I really wanna put your guys' ornaments, keep putting the ornaments that are coming in on there. So I'm gonna keep it up. Who cares if it's past January? I'm keeping it up. And he let me know the place to get that red letter Bible. It was binding broken hearts, not bonding. So I was right. You were correct.
Yes, yes, yes. So Sharon gets a... Da-da-da-da-da-da. And I wanted to read this poem. It's a really nice poem. Okay, oh, here's a joke. How can you tell if a redneck's married? Spit stains on both sides of the truck. How do you spit on the other side? That means the wife is spitting, too. Oh! Ha, ha, ha. I need to learn how to spit. Okay, this is a poem by George Augusta called Change. There's an epidemic going on in the world today. It's not what you think, but what many people do and say. Constantly picking on others, not paying attention to their self. Bringing down the disabled, convicted, and ones without wealth. Don't take it out on someone who has their own cries. Nobody's perfect, but we are all in God's eyes. Just step back and take a look in the mirror. God is the only worthy judge. That picture is much clearer. Not to a friend, but a stranger or foe to wipe away the blindness. Out of the blue, give a friendly act of kindness. Give your life to Jesus and begin with a fresh start. You'll immediately feel a new love deep within your heart.
Live your life knowing heaven is your resting home. Never to be misguided, forsaken, unworthy, or left alone. So no matter our gender, past, belief, or race, united we stand to make the world a better place. Thank you. That was really nice. Okay. What happened? The cameras? They're raking. Oh, they're raking back there? Yeah, there's a bunch of leaves, so they're raking. So tomorrow's our grocery giveaway, guys. So we have a crew here, and they're all getting things ready and there's a lot of leaves, so they're raking it all up. Richard Vale, Eastern New York Correctional Facility, Napa Notch, New York. He was asking for Abraham to be on the podcast. We're gonna ask him, too. Yeah, I don't know. I don't know what he'll say. I don't know. Abraham's been very daring lately. He's been surprising us a lot lately, guys. But what's cool is that he also gave a shout out to Anthony and Amanda. Congrats on baby Memphis. Yes. But he says nobody can replace baby Mateo, but man, it's a blessing though they had another boy.
But you're right. I mean, nobody will ever, ever replace Mateo. I did message them to see if they would be willing to come on. You did? Abraham has been surprising us though. I'm surprised he even helped buy us a TV for Christmas. That was really sweet of him. I have a good boy, man. He's such a great kid. He's a blessing. He's a great, great kid. So, never know. Hector Comayama, Sentinella State Prison, Imperial, California. Thank you for the Christmas card. Thank you so much. Thank you. God bless you. Ellis Hyatt, Hondo, Texas, I believe. A lot of articles about tablets and stuff. Nice. Yeah, that was pretty cool. Different, he cut out different tablet, different articles. Demetrius Dizer, I believe. Hopefully I'm not saying your name wrong. Brickies, Arkansas. And I had a question. Oh, is baptism required for salvation?
You might get a different answer for different people. I've been a Christian for 22 years, studying the word of God for 22 years, pastoring for, it's gonna be 15 years now. My answer is no. Baptism is not required for salvation, but it is an act of obedience. We know that the Bible says in Romans that if we confess with our mouth and believe in our heart that Jesus Christ is Lord, you shall be saved. Word says it, scripture says it, that's good enough for me. Those who cry out on his name will be saved, but baptism is important. Because it's obedience, you know, and if we have the opportunity once we are saved We should be baptized. We should not have any reason not to be baptized We should not have any reason to say I don't want to be baptized We should want to I wanted to be baptized the day I got saved I didn't actually get to be baptized until I went to Terminal Island Federal Prison because I was in federal holding Two years and three months after I got saved is when I got baptized, but I was already saved man Okay, Armando Sanchez Makana unit B. Ville, Texas. He wants to say happy birthday the Jimmy trail from all of the brothers And he went to a Kairos reunion I remember I love Kairos I did it and then I volunteered also that was awesome I've never had alfredo sauce from scratch that I know of have I He says they have like holy mary or something and they Made you alfredo sauce from scratch. I made you pasta sauce from scratch. I've made you the green one from oh my god Pesto sauce from scratch, but I've I don't think I've made the alfredo my point is this if I haven't had Alfredo sauce from scratch and it's bomb. I can't imagine how much better it is. Yeah, it's made. Yeah like that Yeah, I haven't done alfredo from scratch

What is the update on your brother? so He was supposed to actually get an update on his release on the last two days and I have not heard from him in the last two days. So he has been released out of BOP He's no longer Bureau of Prisons. No, but he's waiting on Immigration holdings still he's fighting fighting to stay but He was supposed to get an update in the last two days and I have not heard anything in the last two days They're all off for Christmas I know and it just it breaks my heart that he was spent his Christmas there when he should have been home with his family So yeah, yeah Okay, we only have a few more Eric Rodriguez Al I'll buy on Albin, New York. I'm not sure how to say that Powerful powerful testimony brother. I mean, honestly, thank you for sharing I mean the whole ice pick though. You are a living miracle. Yes, absolutely There's no doubt about it that God has a plan for your life And I see you had a question at the end of your letter and Wow, man. He also sent a commissary Oh nice list from New York And let me get to your question here at the end in the Bible when Satan is chained up for a thousand years thrown into the lake of fire and hell then Satan will be let go after the Thousand years and for all the nations again for a brief moment to see who will follow him again
God has given everyone who did make it for the thousand-year have another shot This means the world will be how it is now for a moment The devil will be God for a little bit until God destroys him or that mean our souls will enter into another body You know what? I I don't I I really don't have an understanding of the book of Revelation when it talks about that. I Don't believe anyone that would say this is what it means or that's what it means. I'll be honest with you I'd be very careful. Somebody says nothing wrong with what I call Dinner talk conversation You know, but if somebody says no this is what this means this is what I would be very careful with that I don't know what that means a thousand-year reign and saying release for a little bit because I it makes me Question like why why would he be released? Why release him and you know, so I don't know brother But I'm glad you asked What else I have a few question next time by Next time Blythe, California in Blythe, California, you're not permitted to wear cowboy boots Unless you own at least two cows don't go to Blythe with your boots. I have lots of cows in my kitchen That's funny I'm not kidding. My whole kitchen is decorated with cows brother. I wonder if that's true. I've heard that you're the second person I've heard that from about Blythe. Really? Yeah, but I mean, I Don't know if that's I'm not kidding I actually do have some a whole bunch of like little cows all over my kitchen to have little fur on it and everything It's weird. Let me look this up. Let's let's squash this right now once and for all But I do want a cow though. I literally want a cow and I want to name her Betsy I'm trying to ask this but you're in the middle of talking. I realize I hit record when you were talking In Blythe, California, am I allowed to wear cowboy boots without owning a cow? Even if you don't own any cows It's just a humorous old idea not a real law Many people wear them there for fashion or events without any problems for legal advice consult a professional There you go, it's just It's a humorous. Yes, a humorous thing that they say. All right, James Johnson Folsom State Prison and
Homemade card. We love it and has two questions. I Like your card. I highlighted the questions. Oh You did the first one. Yeah Number one, how do I stop allowing evil people to have power over me? Okay, and so Yeah, it goes back to full surrender goes back to perspective It goes back to that same thing. I said earlier second question says in the Bible. It's a book of mystery I want to know if you have solved or been enlightened. I'm not sure I wish you had gave a quote or scripture because the only time the word mystery is used if if I'm correct Where it says great is the mystery of godliness that God was manifesting But that scripture doesn't say that the Bible is a mystery. It's saying it's a mystery how God Can be made into the flesh? So I'm not sure where you got that from so I'm not sure how to answer that But thank you keep the questions coming or maybe a little more clear so I can answer it better If that'll go Torres Elk Grove, California, Rio Cosumnes Correctional Center.
