And today it's episode 40. We're going to be talking about top three, misleading, misunderstood, probably most misunderstood Bible verses in the Bible. I saw his struggling. Sorry, scary, scary, but yeah, it's not supposed to be scary. No, but yeah, it basically, we'll be talking a lot about context.

You guys ever read the Bible and be like, what is this talking about? Or you read it and you literally like tremble with fear. So many people are like, Oh, it says work out your salvation with fear and trembling. Oh, it says this. Should we like not sin willfully? What's going on? You guys trip out about that. Well, this episode is going to give you a lot of peace, a lot of happiness, a lot of hope, context, and most importantly, clarity. We love clarity. Clarity. Clock it. Consistency. Clarity. Community. Okay. So Jesus wasn't ugly in the sense that like people think he looked like a slave. Essentially. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. What does that mean? Right? He looks like a slave. What does that mean? Well, look at scripture, go to Isaiah 53 verse two. It says he had, he has no form nor comeliness. And when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. So was he ugly? Yes. Did he have, and he even says he came to serve a servant in ternsured servitude at that time. Slave essentially. So he was like beat up essentially.

He looked and even after in the Bible, it says when he got whipped and like crucified, he was not recognizable. Okay. Okay. That makes sense. Cause they beat him, but I'm saying like him as regular. Jesus was just like, uh, he was chopped. Yes. He was chopped cheese. I'll show you, look, I'll show you guys Isaiah 53, man. They're going to get so mad about the guys. I love Jesus. Okay. Yes. Don't sit there and be like, don't talk about my Lord and savior like that. I, he is my Lord and savior too. But if we look at scripture, go to scripture, Isaiah 53 verse two and three. For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, tender plant. He couldn't be like a warrior. He's tender. He's the type to be like, yes, mom, in the, in the kitchen, helping her cut, you know, stuff, which is also not messed up. Okay. If you get help, your parents, you're just the beta. I'm just kidding. All right. It says for, he shall grow up before him as a tender plant and as a root out of a dry ground. So think about like all the. Flowers in the desert.

Like it's described him as a root. Like literally he's just like in dry ground. It's like, what, you know, he has no form. Nor comeliness. And when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. So, you know, you look at people that are conventionally attracted. You're like, oh, that's cool. I wish I was as tall as him. All I wish it was when they looked at him, no beauty is crazy. Who wrote that, by the way? Isaiah. Isaiah did. Isaiah in heaven? You think Jesus is like swinging on him? Like, yo, Isaiah, why did you write that? No, but it's the truth. And then verse 3, He is despised and rejected of men. So people despise him because he's ugly essentially, and they rejected him. Right? He didn't have pretty privilege. For real. I feel like you can relate a lot to this. Wait, why? No, just, I mean, he's, you know, Jesus. Somehow. Is Jesus short, too? Yeah. A man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. So imagine someone who's acquainted with grief. He's depressed. When you look at depressed people, they're just always like, they're like Eeyore'd out. You know what I mean? They're just like, hello.

So that's what it was. And we hid as it were our faces from him. So, like, imagine they're like, oh man, like, he like repulsed people. It's kind of wild, bro. But was it not repulsed because it was Jesus and he claimed to be, it was his physical appearance that made people repulsed. Yes. If you look at 1 Samuel, it talks about this as well, where like God doesn't look at as a man looks. Man looks outward and he's speaking to the Israelites. The Israelites, when they thought about the Messiah, the Messiah, they were like, dude, he's going to be a warrior, a liberator. He's going to be, and then they see him like, hey guys. How are ya? He's like, watch this. Takes the fish. Yeah. 5,000. So, basically that's really what it is, right? I mean, right, like, there's like the gym analogy, right? Women get hit on at the gym and if it's like, oh, I hate when guys come up to me. Yeah, but what if the guy's like attractive though, right? Then it's like a little different. It's like you're not as mad. You may still be mad, okay? I'm not

saying you're not, but you're not as mad as if some dude who just came up to you was like, hey, like picking his nose, water go out. Yeah, just like his guts hanging out. Yeah, like, bro, like, so again, it really is like that. Human beings look outwardly like they look at beautiful things and they just tend to like bend for it, right? But Jesus, no eases. That's just your opinion. That was their opinion. I'm not that bad. I didn't have that voice too. No humbleness. Zero whatsoever. But, okay, why did God do that to him? God could have made him like chiseled 6'6 Adonis. Again, again, because he knew that people would placate to that. He just gave him hard mode. He just gave him life on hard mode. He gave him and that's what he wanted. But then in God's eyes, that's not beauty. Six foot, you know, chiseled. That's not beauty. Six foot's not enough. 6'6. No, even 6'6.

Even 6'7. No, just kidding. The joke officially is dead. Sorry. Even 60 million. Just kidding. I'm sorry. That's the first time I've ever seen sleep be like, I'm gonna jump you. I'm gonna jump you right now. Jump him, jump him. So, he made him like that. But in God's eyes, he's beautiful. The glory of God is on his face. It shineth off of him. That's what it is to God. To him, remember, it's backwards. This world loves certain things. God's like, I don't love the way you guys love. I don't see the way you guys see. I don't think the way you guys think. Isaiah 55 talks about this. My thoughts are not your thoughts. So, yeah, it's kind of crazy. Yeah, do you think they would have crucified Jesus if he had a nice jawline? I think, I don't know, but I think he would have, I think they would believe him more. I think if he had drip, I think if he was like, had status, I think if he was like, famous for real, like, because

he's famous, but like, not in a way that, you know? More infamous than he was famous. Right. Like, look at this guy claiming to be God. But, yeah, if you saw him, people who loved him saw his heart. Yeah. Interesting. That's what God says. He says in the Bible, I, the Lord, searcheth the heart. I look at the heart. And so, that's what's important. God is so real. All he cares about is internal. Like, personality, all that. You know, people are like, it's about personality and whatever. But, God really is like, it's about your heart. I want to see where your heart is. It's interesting that everybody in history, like, you look at the photos of him on the cross, he's got like an eight pack. Yeah. And he's just like a handsome beard, you know what I'm saying? Yeah, that's not true. But it's not true. Not true at all. Y'all need to do your research. Ugly. Ugly. But spiritually mogging everyone. Yeah, literally. Not ugly, but like, just not, he just looked too basic. Like, the best way to explain it was like, this guy? It was more of like, this dude?

Wait, he's the Messiah? Nah, man. Like, Bible says that he's gonna ride a horse and he's gonna be, you know, thunderous when he speaks. And it's like, but this dude? Like, why? And they couldn't understand it. Yeah. Isn't that crazy? It is crazy. That's like wild, man. Yeah, could be Clippy clippy time is looks maxing biblical Would you say Rachel maxing would you say looks maxing is like satanic I think so I think it's very vain I think it's a hundred percent vanity. You're gonna die. Anyways, I mean I'm not saying that just look like beat up and like not take care of yourself You should represent something but if that becomes your God and idolatry hundred percent like that's vanity of all vanities Dude, you're seeing like the crazy things of the leg lengthening surgeries They're doing that's everyone's in the peptides and like yeah Even like a lot of men are getting like plastic surgery or just like chin chin surgery So would you guys look at me different if I got plastic surgery? Good The leg lengthening surgery is bananas. Yeah, and now that I know that it's successful. You're gonna get it. Yes No Is it actually successful? Yeah In the video, but he's still I would never do it. I would never do it. It's just so crazy They break they shatter your bone and then they lengthen it and then you have they wait till it like heels together But they never walk the same and also yeah, they don't stretch out your arms. Yeah Yeah, it looks like two guys on the top of each other Sneaking into the movie theater exactly Dude Walking support for like two years before you can do like normal stuff again. Hey, wait a second. You're just two guys in a trench coat But yeah, no, I was I obviously I think that any type of looks maxing to that extent where you have to You know change everything about yourself. Yeah Leg surgery is crazy. I mean a lot of surgeries. It's crazy to think that like you do have to Break to rebuild it's like surgeries are invasive They're like they'll cut into your body open your body like they wound you that's I like healing from surgery It's like a serious wound. They're wounding you harder than if they're like they are wound their precision with precision But they're like you're getting voluntarily like wounded car crash levels of wounded So it's like if you're going willing to like mutilate your body for certain looks looks maxing. It's like to my I'll say this There are certain surgeries that I look at and I'm like you look better or like it helped you now I'll give you one example. I know what you're thinking. I'll give you one example like a cleft lip They just fix their lips. So it's no like hey, like, you know So I see things like that and I'm like great. I also not gonna lie I saw one where they the guy had just like a huge turkey gobble and they just cut it off and he had a jawline I was like It looks better than a turkey gobble But yeah, yeah like there's some people where I'm like, okay that genuinely helped you or like mmm They had a good question. I had a crazy so question. No guys. Here we go. Why because because I know you're okay I know your answer you're gonna be like no God made you beautiful no matter what but there's certain people that like I seen someone

With a beak and this was just on Instagram You just see the crazy surgeries and the doctor made it look very Proportion and natural and I was like to be honest, this guy was unhappy with the beak and got that like He looks better with that Hmm, I think that's more of an internal thing. You're fixing exterior. Sure looks better Sure, but if that's what like you have to figure out why you got that surgery first, right? Everyone was bullying him Hey toucan Sam That would be you can Sam You would I mean, I like I said, I think people who get surgeries you have to be cautious about why they even got that surgery It's an internal thing. So I mean everyone gets bullied, but everyone gets surgery. You know what I mean? it's like I'll say the reason why it's kind of like a Great area. No, no I'll say why it's proof that pretty privilege is being pretty gives you advantages in this world Unfortunately, whether we care or not K-pop you look at the befores and the afters of these k-pop stars Keep in mind millions tens hundreds of millions of people around the world like fawn for these people They're like they're so hot and you look at their before and they're just like Regular people and these surgeons do magic on them to where they're all of a sudden these really good-looking people You know what I'm saying? So I'm like and it's like if people see that they're like, whoa, I could go from that to that It's it's and I could get treated like that and people are nicer to me and yeah, whatever it's it's a pretty hard thing to tell somebody if they look a certain way and they've never gotten attention or they're bullied to be Like nah, you're not gonna feel anything. You know, it's true. It's not gonna matter. It's just hot. It's just hard. It's true We're hiring guys core of the heart is hiring but listen carefully. I mean if you can't overcome that spiritually, that's true. It just doesn't really matter There's like two sides of the coin always. Yeah But Actually, never mind. No, I'm moving on. Yes. Yes move on. Yeah All right. Well, let's get into the episode okay, the reason why we made this episode was because I feel like a lot of people struggle with context especially like reading the Bible it's so easy you guys we've all done it you take one verse and you're just like oh, that's what it means But that's not necessarily true, right? We have to be able to study everything like nowhere in the world Do you just take like one side or one thing and be like I'm gonna lean all of my understanding on this like you

Check you cross-reference like but in the Bible a lot of people don't do that They just read one and go this is God speaking directly to me. So he says don't do this That's what it actually means not necessarily true. So me my experience right? I was big like I remember I received salvation I felt that peace in my heart I was thankful but then like a week after I started questioning my salvation because I literally read one verse it was first John chapter 1 verse 8 9 and 10 right three verses, but that one verse got me So first John chapter 1 verse 8 basically says let's pull it up guys Well, I'm sure KJV Bibles your King James Bibliotheca. All right first John Chapter 1 verse 8 guys soon the we'll have a Bible inside of the new Koth app that's coming Yeah, so if you want early access Check the description. Yeah It says 8 if we say that we have no sin We deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us 9 if we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 10 if we say that we have not sinned we make him a liar and his word is not in us So a lot of people take this especially in our congregation and they're like, well, Johnny You taught that Jesus made us perfected and righteous You taught that we don't have to really ask forgiveness because you know, Jesus forgave us all but then this verse How do you reconcile that right? It's like if you say you don't have sin You're a liar and God is not in us basically, right? So when I first read that I felt the same I was like, whoa, this is crazy. Like our church isn't teaching right then and I would go to the pastor and then they would like explain it. But I would still be like, okay, it makes sense. It'll pacify that feeling. And then I'll read it again. I'll be like, no, look at what it's saying. It's telling us that if we say we have no, how can we say that we're, we don't have any more sin?

Yeah. Jesus crucified on the cross, took away the sins. But later I was able to do correct research and really look into the context of like, why, like, who was it talking to the audience who was speaking to, and also what was, again, the context, like what is it exactly saying? And so I found out that this verse is actually speaking to Gnostics. Do you guys know what Gnostics are? They don't believe Aaron doesn't. So they don't believe they don't believe in the deity of Christ. So they believe their belief is enlightenment. That salvation comes from how smart you are, how enlightened you are, how much accolades you have. They believe all flesh is evil, but spirit is born good. Right. So it makes sense when you look at first John, he's saying, if we say we have no sin, to be honest, what Christian says that they don't have any sin is so it's not speaking to Christians. And I didn't know that I thought it was speaking to God. I'm a Christian. So when I'm reading it, I'm like, Oh man, it's talking to me. It's not, it's talking to Gnostics. So you guys can Google it too. It's first John one, eight, and then just put Gnostics because during that time, there was this proto Gnosticism where they basically were like going against the church. They were going against John and his disciples, essentially polycarp and all those other people. And it was like, it was like a cult that was like that, like a new religion that was taken over. And they were basically saying, you guys can't believe in Jesus because Jesus is

made of flesh. That means he's a sinner. He has sin naturally. So like you can believe in his spirit, but he's not, he's not God. So then when you look at first John chapter one, it starts with, we saw him, we heard him, we touched him. It's basically saying like, we touched the holiness of him, but they didn't believe in his deity. They didn't believe that he was God essentially. And so what he was addressing was to those people, Hey, you guys say you have no sin. You're spiritual. Okay. So you're perfect spiritually. They're basically saying we're perfect. We don't have any sin. And then they just went and sin however they wanted to, because they're like, well, that's the flesh. That's not my spirit. My spirit is separate. And they were like accessorizing and just doing this like sinless perfection, gray, gray, gray area, gray area, loopholes like, Oh, and then your Jesus isn't our Jesus because, you know, we, we have enlightenment. See, we're so smart. Right. And it's like, you guys believe in, you know, three separate beings that are like, they start pushing this narrative, basically that enlightenment is what saves you. So wisdom, you know, how smart you are, like being, having an open mind, this is like the foundation of their beliefs.

And so he's checking them. If you say you have no sin and the Bible says original sin, everyone's born of Adam and Eve. So we all have sin and you're going against it. Then you're a liar. And the truth isn't in you. Right. And then if you like confess that you're a sinner, basically, then God will forgive you of that because God came for sinners. Sinners need to repent. Right. And then he explains this to them. And then in the next chapter, first John chapter two, right. Um, it talks about you brothers and sisters. So then it switches audiences, starts talking to believers. And with that, it's really cool. We have an advocate for sin and starts to talking about all this stuff. So again, that was one of the verses that scared me to death. I was like, yo, the Bible says this, that we're righteous and perfected, but then it says we're sinners. So like, how do we reconcile that? And I was literally for like months, I was struggling. Yeah. What did the church say to you? Oh, so the church was pretty old school. I'm not going to lie. They were like, Johnny, just study more. But I'm like, I need answers now, you know, like what? Like I'm struggling. They're like, you can't lose your salvation because you

never gained it by yourself. Like Jesus Christ died on the cross. They kept pointing me to the gospel, but I was like, still like struggling in my mind. Yeah. I legit was a big brain, but it was difficult. Right. So if you guys, if you guys are struggling with that first John chapter one, right, eight, nine, and 10. Contextually, you have to learn like the, the historical context. Who is it speaking to? It was written in like 75 to like 85 AD. So 75 to 85 years after Jesus died, this, this kind of revolt started to come up and John was speaking about this. So, yeah. So, you know how the, the crux of the Bible and how you truly unlocked it was starting to accept, right. Is it wrong for, yeah. Is it wrong for someone to come to you because they want that quick answer? Like maybe the pastor knew and he was like, yeah, it's going to lead Johnny down more rabbit holes, which is why they did what they did. Yeah. So how do you, it is wrong. It is wrong because what happens then is it becomes conditional and like conformational, right? It's like, okay, pastor, you said that message without me realizing it. I didn't even study the Bible at that. time. I just, I was studying the Bible and I read it and he gave me the answer. He's like, Johnny, you're not going to understand the context. Like you barely just read it.

And it's like, no, but it's so clear. It says, if we say we're like, I was fighting instead of accepting. And he's like, honestly, Johnny, like you have to learn to accept. And then I was pissed about that. And I would make excuses like, well, weren't you also one time a Christian in the beginning? And didn't you question? And it was only so that because I didn't want to like, I hardened my heart basically. I couldn't see that. So he was like, he would say like, you got to kind of think about what you're asking. You don't know the context. And I'm like, well, that's why I'm asking. He's like, well, then study. And I'm like, huh? And he's like, I need to cultivate patience in you, too, Johnny. That is a fruit of the spirit. I can't just tell you everything. And to be honest, I'm telling you everything. You're not accepting it, though, because it's not matching your checkbox. So where do we go from here? Right. And he's like, even if I express that to you, there's times where I even express this Gnostic stuff and people are still like, no, that's not what it is. Like, make it make sense. So it's not about proof. Like you have to honestly go through this, this level of, and every Christian does this, where they, they're on fire for God. And they're just like, oh man, I want to read and read and read. And then they, they fizzle out and it's during the fizzling out that God goes, you know what? I'm going to let you guys fizzle out because you're going based off of feelings,

not of faith. And so God allows performative things to die so that you can actually step in with faith, whether it feels good or not. That's actual faith. So yeah, people struggle with that and you got to struggle. You got to struggle. Social media has become one of the deadliest reasons as to, I need answers now because people get a, they get a headline or a video clip that feels like it's cut enough to where you're like, that feels whole and that idea feels right. And look at the proof that the added and look what the guy's saying. This makes sense. But then you go back and you watch the rest of the video or you see the other side and you're like, oh my gosh, like I was, that was completely the opposite. A hundred percent. And, and, and so like, even with Christianity now, they're probably dealing with more of it because they find a really good clip of someone probably defending that verse with passion. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know, passion, feelings. Sure. And it's also like that person, you don't know what their background is. It just sounds good. Yeah. So, and people don't realize that they also have like an echo chamber mentality. People want it. That's the thing about social media is has created like this echo chamber to like confirm it literally goes to your algorithm, to your heart's content. So you'll just watch stuff. That's like, wow, that makes sense to me, but you never get out of that box. You have to like, it's, it marginalizes you.

Right. So like you have to get out of that and be like, let me explore this. Let me see what people are doing. And there's people out there who like make videos about me and they'll literally like, thank God. You guys know who you are. You guys at first are like this guy, my pastor says stuff about you, but let me just go and see what Johnny has to say. And at first it's kind of like, Oh, this is difficult and like abrasive and hard to like grasp. But little by little, they're like, dude, I'm so thankful. Cause now I can't listen to anybody else, but you, it's like, we went, we came and we just gave it a chance. Whereas everyone was like, don't go to him. Don't. And it was almost like these pastors, like they're obsessive over us in a lot of ways. Like they make like four or five, six videos of us. I'm like, dang, you guys got a hell of time and their best performing videos. Just want to put that out there. We know why you guys make the videos, but it's just, it's just like for them. I pray for them. It's like, I hope you guys could honestly like grow from all that, but it just causes a lot of division. Right. And so we're not supposed to divide. We just preach the gospel, you know? And, but people will notice that and go, huh? At first they're like, wow. Okay. Thanks for shedding light on this person.

But then little by little, I've seen this numerous times in our discord where they're like, they literally made like for you, like six weeks straight of just you content. And I'm like, for real, like they nitpick every little, he just said this. He just said that he just said this like three in a row. And we're just like, okay, bro, we get it. Like, let's move forward. Let's grow. And they don't see that. And then they come and check our stuff out. And they're like, bro, you don't even like address it. You just keep moving forward. And they start to see people's fruits essentially. And what's behind the spirit. We should claim their videos. Yeah, take that as crazy. Yeah. No, no, no. Keep them up. We'll just claim the, even collecting. Yeah. Yeah, but it's crazy. All right. Well, that was number one. Yeah, that was deep. I'm that was even number one. That was my own. And that was, that wasn't number one. Oh, that was just my own experience. Whoa.

Yeah. So number one, okay. One of the most misleading Bible verses is Romans chapter three, verse 23. And Romans three 23 says for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. So everybody knows this verse, right? Pastors quoted every day. I mean, it's just, everyone's a sinner. Everyone messes up. We all fall short of the glory of God. Amen. And what they do is they close their Bible, build full sermons on this, and they don't read context. And the funny thing is the context is. One verse after that, which is Romans 3.24. So when you read Romans 3.24, it says, being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. So the one thing about this verse is that people tend to just read one, with everything in the Bible, not just this verse, but they read one verse and they go, we're sinners, we all fall short. That's normal, it makes sense to their mind, it makes sense to their feelings, their experiences. People preach this, they perpetuate this through their churches, so it makes sense. But if you just look at the very next verse, it's so clear. It says, justified for free through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.

Now, even if we don't explore the lexicon, the Greek, the original language, you can put that together. Yes, without Jesus in Romans 3.23, we all fell short, but then the next verse, it introduces Jesus Christ. And it says, you're justified for free through his redemption, not your own works, not your goodness, not your morality, not your ethical code, not your, right? Like, your love, it's literally the gospel. It's Jesus Christ died because you're a sinner and you couldn't do anything for yourself. That's why he had to come and justify you for free. Not for wages, not for obedience, not for works, for free. Now, when we look at it in the lexicon, which is the original language, right? If you look at justified, first and foremost, it's past tense, meaning already done. You're already just, right? And how you say that is, decaiumenos, right? Or decaiumeno, right? And what that means is to be made just, to be made righteous. And then freely is dorean, right, dorean, which means for free, but undeservingly free. Like, you don't deserve it, but God gave it to you, right? And then- Grace. Grace, essentially.

And even, and then what I don't like about the, even the KJV, like, I'm a big KJV, but sometimes in English, people add stuff. Like, if you read it in Koni Greek, being justified, verse 24, there is no being. Like, I don't know why they added being, but they just did. Like, even today, when I was researching, I was looking at it, at the Koni Greek, there is no being. It just says, for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. And it says, justified freely by his grace to the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. That's how it reads. But they added the being, they add unknown here, they add these little words, and it's like, it throws people off a little bit, you know? Because then if you say being justified, then it sounds like sanctification is a process, but it's not, right? Just those little things, like- True. Shut you off, right? So that's why, if you guys really wanna learn the Bible, you do have to go to the Hebrew, Aramaic, the Koni Greek. And I was talking to Aaron's dad about this. He speaks straight up Greek. And when he was speaking, I was like, dang, this is crazy.

And he was super, super studied. And it's because it was his original language. And he was able to break things down, lexiconically, as we say, exegetically. And it was so refreshing to be like, bro, I know what you're talking about. And he's like, I know what you're talking about. And according to Aaron- I know what you guys are always talking about, me too. According to Aaron, Aaron was saying his pops was just like raving, like, this is so cool, right? It was like, that was awesome. So what I'm saying is like, you guys have to learn like the original language. And if not, at least learn to look at certain scriptures in the original language. But be cautious though, because when you do that, it can also send you down rabbit holes as well. You have to understand like perfect particle tense. You have to understand subjunctive aortist tenses. And you gotta learn those things. But either way, it's important to just know. But yeah- That's the craze, because not gonna lie, I've heard the first part and just took it as what it is. And they just don't even read the second part right underneath it. Nope. I remember one time I was arguing with the pastor and I wasn't trying to argue with him.

I sat there and I was like, hey, pastor. And this pastor was super like charismatic, like super like just passionate. Jesus, God! It was like that, legit, legit. And he was like, and he was a bishop, right? So a bishop kind of oversees multiple churches. And so- What is bishops under the Catholic church though? No, not necessarily. Catholic is like priest, right? So bishop is kind of like, it can be like Baptist, but essentially, yeah, I guess so too. I guess so. But essentially he was like, you're saying that you're perfected and righteous, Hebrews 10, 14, right? And I'm like, yeah. In spirit, that's all he said. And I was like, what? And he's like, in spirit, you're righteous, but you're not righteous now. It's a sanctified. He's like screaming at me. So much so that like his spit was like hitting my face. And I'm like, okay. And he goes, Romans 3, 23, pull it up right now, young man. So they like pulled it up and he goes for all have sinned. Right.

And fall short of the glory of God. What are you talking about? And I was like, could you read the next verse? And then he's like, what? And I was like, pastor, do you know? And he goes, Bishop, cause I called him pastor. So he checked me and he goes, I read the Bible more than you. I read it. Like basically it was saying like, I read it before, like I was even born. You know, he's like, I've been knowing this, but you can't tell me to read it. And I'm like, dang, super egotistical, super prideful. But I couldn't say that to him. I was trying to be, you know, respectful. So I was like, Bishop, can you please just read the next verse? Right. And I'm like, you've read the Bible 80 plus times as you claim, but like, what does the next verse say? And he couldn't, he had to bust out the Bible, flip through it. And he read it and it says being justified freely by the grail. And I explained it to him. And then he goes in spirit, like he just screams at me and I'm like, no, but it doesn't say in spirit. It actually says being justified freely by his grace for the redemption. That isn't Christ Jesus. It's not talking about spiritual. We're justified already. We're done. So, and then he's just like screaming, screaming, screaming. He's like, you got to get out of here. You're preaching this.

You can't say that you're not perfect. Anyone who says that they're perfect, there's none righteous. No, not one. Right. He's like quoting the same scriptures. And I'm like, you don't believe anyone's perfect. And he's like, no, I don't. And I'm like, but you have to understand context. He's like, boy, he got mad. He's like, boy, son, I understand context. I was like, no, but you said that there's none perfect and no, none, none righteous. And he's like, yeah, I did say that there is none perfect and unrighteous. What are you talking about? I was like, then how come God says that Job was perfect? How come it says that Enoch was righteous and perfect that he didn't taste death? How come it says that Noah, you know, and I'm like, how come it says David was a man after his own heart, perfect in his ways. How come it's and then he's just like, he's not pissed. And I was like, I'm, and this is how the, the, the, the conversation ended. I said, Bishop, you've read the Bible 80 plus times, a hundred percent. When you read the Bible, you still come out with the conclusion that you're a sinner. Now I haven't read the Bible as much as you, but when I read the Bible, the conclusion is it is finished. I'm justified, perfected and holy through the blood of Jesus. So I, I don't like, I'm not understanding. Right. And then he was just like, get out, literally was like, get out of my freaking church. And so it's, it's, it's dangerous to be able to see that in that one verse there,

like you can, it, everything hangs on that because if I just only see Romans three 23, I'm going to live my life thinking that we all fall short of the glory of God. If I read verse 24, it's completely shifts the mind. Yes, I was a sinner, was a sinner, but Jesus justified me past tense for free. Not anything I did. And he redeemed me as well. Like it's such a game changer just through that perspective. So that's one of the most misleading verses. Wow. Yeah. Do you want to say, yeah, it was like in spirit, like with an extra T I was like, dang, I'm dumb, but would it be, but you know, it's like, it's that funny saying it's like, I can read it to you, but I can't understand it for you. It's like at a certain point, you got to figure it out yourself. The second most misleading Bible verse is first Corinthians chapter six, verse nine and 10. I think you guys have heard this verse too. No, you not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Be not deceived. Neither fornicators nor adulterers, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abuses of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor coveters, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners shall inherit the kingdom of God. Right there. Close the Bible. Yep. See Johnny. If you guys continue when you're sin and you do extortion and you lie and you idolatry, and you do that, you're going to hell. Be not deceived.

Brothers and sisters be not deceived. Right. And I would sit there and just go, ah, right? Like, like Peter Griffin, have you guys seen the Peter Griffin family guy? Legit. I'm like, oh, he doesn't know context. Again, this is first Corinthians six, verse nine and 10. Read the very next verse. The very next verse says, and such were some of you, but you are washed, but you are sanctified, but you are justified in the name of the Lord. Right. And of the spirit of our God. So this word, if you read the scripture, yes, such were some of you. Yes. We were all born sinners. We did idolatry. We did all of those things. We, some, some of us continue to do that. Sure. But this word, but I love the word, but guys, I love, but single T okay. Not double T. All right. Single T, but, but it negates everything in front of it. So I always give this analogy. Let's say people are married. Let's say I sit here, right? Forget the marriage part. If I sit here and I go, guys, I love how our business is scaling. Like you guys are seriously the best, you know, just workers in the world.

You guys are amazing. Look at him. Just getting glazed. Right. Jeremy of all people. You're so amazing. You can't tell what's coming. So proper. You're saying nice things. Great. I agree with everything. Yeah. Aaron is amazing, but I want to quit. I want to quit tomorrow. I don't want to do this ever again. Does it matter that I said, you're amazing. You guys are smart. You're a savant, you're this and that. No, because the butt negates everything. And what happens after what's, what comes after the butt is what matters. So if we read it in this way, yes, we, we deceive people. Yes. We fornicated. Yes. We were adulterers. Yes. We were doing all these drunkards, whatever. Sure. But it says you are washed. That's crazy.

It's not being washed. It's past tense. You are washed, but you are sanctified, but you are justified. Sanctified means holy. Washed obviously means cleansed. Justified means made righteous. Like it's, it's that one verse again, where people sit there and they're just like, oh my gosh, they could totally miss it just by looking at verse nine and 10 and not touching verse 11. That one seems, that one seems more obvious to me than the first one you just did, but what do people argue? They argue, no, that's not what it is. But it just says that. Yeah. But they don't take it at face value because people who walk by, you have to have faith to believe. It sounds too good to be true. Of course. I'm not washed. I'm still struggling. I vape every day. What do you mean? So what are they saying then? They're negating the word. They, but God, right? They're supposed to be like, but my thoughts, like my thoughts tell me, but that's wrong. God says this, that's the normal thing. As a Christian guys, it means to submit to Christ, meaning accept everything that he says, whether it makes sense to you or not.

The Bible, it doesn't make sense to us, but it also says my thoughts are not your thoughts. My way is not your way. Right? So we don't feel like we're washed. He says we're washed. What does it take for us then to trust him? Faith. We have to sit there and go, Oh, I don't trust you, but like, okay. It doesn't make sense to me, but I trust you. That's what love is, right? You can't love somebody you don't trust. So God is saying, if you trust me and you love me, you will accept what I say. Look at God's character. Everyone knows that God is a good being. He would never lie. So he can't sit there and say you're washed when you're not really washed. And he says he does it through Jesus and the Holy spirit, right? Twofold. But people don't believe in that cleansing. They just know. Yeah. Jesus died for my sins. But are you a sinner? Yes, I am. Why? Oh, cause I sin every day. Right? So then God is a liar. Then why does he say you are washed?

He can't call something clean. That's unclean. He can't call something perfect. If it's imperfect. He can't sit there and be like, you're righteous and Holy. When you're not righteous and Holy, that would make him a liar. Right. And that would be blasphemous. So people just don't believe that not because they're, they're evil, but because they can't see it, but second Corinthians five, seven is very clear. We walk by faith, not by sight. Hebrews 11, one so clear faith is the evidence of things hoped for the substance of things not seen. You don't see it. That's why you have to believe if you could see it. You don't need to believe it. You would just affirm it and confirm it and be like, oh yeah. It's sunny outside right now. Yep. Oh, there's a camera in front of me. Yeah. If I sit here and go, guys, there's no cameras in here. You guys would think I'm crazy, but it takes faith to believe me guys. Trust me. There's no cameras in here. It's like, what? Like you have to trust somebody to accept what they're saying. That's the issue. And the more, yeah. And the more and more context is necessary for each thing.

Like all of your explanations are coming from a different Bible verse. It's like, even knowing that God doesn't lie. It's like, even knowing that, um, these different pieces that you're bringing up, it's like, unless you're studied, you can't understand, or you would have no reason to think otherwise than what you're just reading right here. It's like, it's sometimes it's not always the next line. It's like when you're talking about, oh, I'm understanding, like, I am understanding that this was written for not even believers. It's like, doesn't, that doesn't, that's not at the beginning of the chapter. Hey, by the way, this is for non-believers. It's like, you need to know so much going into that, which is interesting. That, yeah. Then maybe they're not like maliciously misleading it or like, they're, they're just raised to think, you know, I I'm not washed or I'm not perfect or whatever, but cause how would the, it's just like, yeah, if you're not learned, how would you know? True. True. It comes from surrender. Like the, the remedy for that is to go, I'm not learned. That person is learned. Even though I feel like I've heard this, like, let me hear them out. It's a simple that, and I noticed people would just like change after that and go, wow. Okay. Cause understanding comes from surrender. Like you have to sit there and be like, dang, like I don't know everything, so let me seek it versus like, people are like, I know everything and let me just weaponize it. That's completely different. Right?

Like that's a different heart posture. You know, what's interesting too. It's like. Uh, every time you see the, but you're washed, but you're sanctified. I just hear it in pastor Kim's voice. Cause that's the part in the sermon that he speaks English. Yeah. He goes, but you are washed, but you are sanctified, but you are justified. I'm like, just pie, big bag, just freaking thinking about food all the time. Pie. Yeah. This is a great church. That, that verse is crazy to me because again, back in the day, I've just heard the first part, never, never remembered the second, no one ever told me the second verse, your parents ever use it. Uh, I don't, I don't know about my parents, but I just remember that verse, the fornicators and I'm like, okay, I can't do bad things. Yeah. Right. That's crazy. Yeah. That's crazy. But yeah. Um, the third, the third most misleading verse in the Bible is revelation chapter three, verse 16. And that's the one that talks about being lukewarm. So everybody's always like wondering lukewarm, you know, Oh, hot means, you know, you're on fire for God and passionate cold means, you know, you're spiritually dead. So if you mix them together, lukewarm is you're useless.

You're stagnant. Like you just don't have any, any, you're not useful. Right. And so that's partially true. But again, context is very important. When you read in revelation chapter three, right. It's specifically 14 and 15. It talks about God writing a specific letter and addressing specific people. It's the Laodicean church. And Laodicea is this place that's nestled in between Asia. Yeah. Like it's nestled, it's nestled in between Colossae and, um, Hierapolis. So Colossae is where there's really cold spring waters, like just coming down the mountains, really cold, like ice cold, like iceberg glacier water. Right. And then there's Hierapolis, which is hot springs. And so where it comes down to it meets in the middle, which is Laodicea. And so when you mix hot and cold, what does it bring? Um, warm. Oh, what the heck was that? Jeremy. I was trying to think about what it was and you just didn't even let us guess. Sorry. When you mix hot and cold, what does it, what, what's the temperature of the water? Hey, there you go. Good job. Good job. Everybody clap it up for him. Adams.

Sleeps his leg down, but, um, so it's basically the middle, right. And, and when Jesus says in Coney Greeks spit out, it actually means to vomit. So in Laodicea, it's very famous for their water that people are cautious to drink their water because it's super mineral mixed and it has like just a lot of like. Stuff in it that makes you sick. So when people would drink the water, cause it was lukewarm, they would be, it was like vomiting water essentially. Right. He uses that analogy where he's like, you're not hot. You're not cold. You're lukewarm. And we will spit you out, vomit you out. But what this, what people don't realize is verse 17, 16 and 17 gives the most context. So when you look at 16, so then thou art lukewarm and neither hot nor cold. Um, I will spew the out of my mouth. Right. So what they're basically saying in verse 17, it says, because thou sayest, I am rich and increased with goods and have need of nothing. No, it's not that thou are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked. So he's saying, you guys are saying you don't need anything. Right. But Jesus Christ says in the Bible without me, I am the vine. You are the branches without me. You can do nothing. What they're saying is I don't need anything, meaning I don't need you. And so these people in Laodicea had the heart of self-sufficiency. They had gold. They had all this other stuff.

They didn't want the water. The water was lukewarm. So AKA who is the well of everlasting life? Jesus Christ. So even in the symbolic, like metaphorical realm, God is showing that in this area, these people had this heart of like, I don't want this water. I don't want to like, like, I don't want Jesus Christ basically. And then he even says, I knock and they don't let me in. What he's saying is the church has locked Jesus out. It's basically this self-reliant Christianity where it's like, it's a, it's a Christless Christianity. I don't need you, bro. I can do it myself. That's why I have my gold, my own linen, my eye patches. So I have my own eyes, basically my own robes, not the robe of righteousness and the linen, like my own righteousness, filthy rags, and I have my own water. I don't need you basically. So symbolically speaking, a lukewarm Christian is a person who doesn't need. Jesus and God. It's not a person who sits there and it's self-sufficient. Like, oh, I'm gonna keep the commandments by myself. I don't need the Holy Spirit to guide me. I'm gonna do everything myself. I can wash my own sins by just confessing and doing better and trying harder. It's a workspace salvation. And Jesus is saying, I'll spit you out. And it ties into Matthew 7, which is also a very misunderstood verse of like, Lord, Lord, not everyone will enter my kingdom.

And he says, they do wonderful works. And that day I will tell them, I never knew you. Works is something that goes against God because works and grace are two different polar opposites. Grace is where you rest and God does all the work. Works is where you make God rest and you do all the work. And then you're your own savior, basically, which is blasphemous, right? So when you look at James 15, verse five, it speaks about it again. I am the vine, you are the branches. He that abideth in me and I in him, the same bringeth forth much. For without me, you can do nothing. But they're sitting there saying, we don't need anything. We don't need you, we can do it all. And so this is how salvation is nowadays with the churches. Yeah, it's not just Jesus. You also gotta do something. You gotta be obedient. You gotta love on God. You gotta, you gotta me, me, I, I, this type of main character energy. Jesus says, basically, what can you do without me? Like even your salvation, guys, think about it, right? You can't even receive salvation. You can be a good person. You can claim that you love God, like the Israelites did. You can follow the commandments. But if Jesus doesn't die, it says,

without the shedding of blood, there is no remission for sins. Even in the old Talmudic, like, you know, Mosaic laws, Levitical laws, they needed something to die as a substitution. They understand that. But it was foreshadowing Jesus. Without sin, without blood, shedding of blood, there's no forgiveness. But they're thinking, like, I could forgive myself. I just gotta do good. So basically, again, it's self-sufficiency, self-reliance, not God, you know, reliance, basically. And that's what lukewarm is. It even goes deeper than that. It's also serving two masters, right? Biblically speaking, it says in the Bible, you cannot serve two masters. So if God says, my thoughts are not your thoughts, my way is not your way, and your thoughts are deceitful, right, and your heart is deceitful, then when God says in the Bible that you're righteous and perfected and holy, but your thoughts and your feelings and your emotions and perspectives and even people in this world tell you you're a sinner, that's a direct contradiction. One says you're perfected through Jesus. The other one says, no, you're not. It's a process of perfection and sanctification. You're not perfect right now.

It's completely going against. So what I say is, I make the claim that if you say that you're a sinner saved by grace or a righteous person who sins, that's also lukewarm. Because think about it. A sinner goes to hell. Righteous people, saved by grace people, go to heaven. How can you be in both places at once? But what they're doing is they're pacifying that part of their brain that tells them they're a sinner. So they don't feel bad, but then they also can't reject God's word by saying we're saved, so they build the bridge. I'm a sinner saved by grace. They're not a caterpillar. They're not a butterfly. They're a butter pillar or a caterpillar, right? They sit there and they're like, but look, see, that part of my brain, oh, I feel like I'm humbled by saying I'm a sinner, but then I'm also, see, I'm accepting God's word. And so that's lukewarm. They're not caterpillar. They're not butterfly. They're not hot. They're not cold. They're in the middle. And that's lukewarm as well. And then when you say that, what do people say back to you?

They go, they either go, wow, that makes sense. Or they go, no, bro, like they're stuck in their ways. Well, I still sin every day. So what do you mean? And again, they don't understand that sin is an identity passed down from Adam, right? We're not sinners when we sin. We're sinners, that's why we sin. I'm Chinese and I eat at the orange chicken and I don't become Chinese when I eat at the orange chicken, okay? Whether I eat orange chicken or not and whether I talk like Jeremy or not, I'm still Chinese. Jeremy is what with a capital W. That's so mean. So many people said that though. I deleted the poll. I deleted the poll. It was about, no, it was about 30% said I don't sound white. 70% said I sounded white. So they're wrong. So what do you say to the people that are like, because we're saved, we now have to do good works because that's what Jesus or God would want. I mean, it could be right in that you keep the commandments and do good works because you're saved.

I don't have an issue with that. I have an issue with, I have to do good works to be saved. We keep the commandments, listen to me carefully, guys. keep the commandments because we're saved. We don't keep the commandments to be saved. You're not working for salvation. No, Jesus died for you like me, right? I'm not out here robbing people and doing those things. I could hit easy licks. My brain is evil. I'll look at someone and go, this guy got money and he got his Rolly on in broad daylight, and he's right here in this alley, free lunch. But then why don't I follow that? I don't go, I'm righteous. I could do whatever. And then rob them. Give me your money. Right. I sit there and I go, but how would God, that's a child of God though. You know, he's serving like materialistic things, man. If he could just understand this gospel that saves him and gives him true happiness, he wouldn't have to push the Lambo and have a Rolly and do all that. It's like, maybe if I take that Rolly from him, it'll show him what it's like. I'm going to go save that guy as I'm taking it. I'm saving you. Trust me. You don't need this. I'm going to use it for the church. She's beating him up. Take it off.

I'm going to use it for the church. Who you need? Who spares the rod? No, I'm just kidding. But yeah, so I, I write you, you, you do it out of love. Like, it's not that you stop sinning. It's that you love God so much more than your sin. And so that makes sense. But people are sitting there and they're doing the opposite. No, no. I have to prove to God, like a litmus test. I have to show you how much I love you and see, I gave this up for you. It's like, not necessarily because when they do that, then they start judging other people. Gospel out is officially live. You guys keep laughing. And like, I feel like you guys are egging me on. The way you're emphasizing certain words. Yeah. Yeah. That one you tried to get us. That's why I'm like, that's, I was trying not to break too, but he's like, he's not buckling, he's having sex and it's not working. And I'm like, I didn't even know I was doing that. I'm sorry. Because you breezed past it the first time, like, you know, the thing. So, so, OK, all right, let's compose. So. OK, so. Oh, my gosh, sleeps, sleeps is now busting up. Oh, my God, sleepy. Wow. OK, OK, OK. I can't look. I'm just a look at the camera. I'm going to look at the camera, too. All right. All right, so I explained that it's heart posture, right? The fact that they're struggling and they want to serve God is all that matters because God looks at the heart. But then there's also people who are like virgins and they'll be like shunning. What? I'm trying to. Why are you laughing? I don't know. The devil, it's the devil. I don't know. I said virgin. I wasn't like virgin.

I said they're virgins because I knew you're going to be like freaking virgins or virgin. Oh, my Lord. I'm like, oh, third grader word. Here we go. Gosh, they don't get no hers. I got to get it all out of the joke afterwards when you say the word again. I think about the job. Yeah, right, right. I think he's not trying to. Sure. It's my fault. Sure. Don't do that. All right. So there's also people who save themselves for marriage and they carry that around. Now it's him. Just keep going. I'm sorry. Just keep going. And then they should leave the room. You guys can you can't say, hey, children, they're not going to cut us in. You just look down. Hey, children's children's is no, I'm just kidding. But yeah, so there's people who save themselves and they also carry themselves highly like, oh, look, see, I love God so much. You guys don't love God enough. That's why you're doing all that nasty stuff, et cetera. But that would be wrong, too, because that's still a spirit of pride. Right. To sit there and be like, I keep the commandments better than you. That's not what God ever spoke about. Right. It's to pray for others, to uplift others. And so it's always hard posture. It's always hard posture. I hope that that helped you guys out with just giving you clarity and context exegetically as well.

It's like- Especially a guy who read it 80 times claimed he read the Bible 80 times. I think because when you read the Bible without surrender,

without this acceptance, then it becomes an issue, right? It's like, if you're reading to only see the law, that's all you're gonna see. If you're big on gifts, dreams, and visions, you're only gonna see that. You're gonna be like, oh yeah, anyways, that's cool. Lukewarm, yeah, I'm not lukewarm. And you skip over it because it doesn't apply to you. But if you're surrendered, that means you're like a sponge. You soak everything in. Totally. So that's why I said it's important to surrender. That's a trigger word. What do you mean I'm not surrendered? You're surrendered? What do you mean you're more surrendered than me? I go to church more than you. I never said that. That's literally how it is though. Yeah, right. It's humanity. It's a human nature. Okay, you never said it, but you talk like you know the Bible better than me and then why do you see it that way? And I see all these verses. You know what I'm saying? How you're doing it ironically

almost makes it seem like a survival instinct. Like humans are just wired to feel backed into a corner and then just like argue their way out of it. But this Johnny Chang guy feels like he knows all the answers. Why is his interpretation right? No, you feel like I know all the answers. That's why you said it like that. I never said I knew all the answers. Gotcha. But you act like you do. I never did. You said I act like that. I'm just being myself. Yeah, look, I'm role playing here. Yeah, but that's what I would literally say. I would be like, I mean, well, you're misleading people. Nice statement. You're misleading people. Do you wanna have dialogue or do you wanna sit there and tell me what I'm doing? Right. Like literally that's what it is. No, I don't wanna, you're an heretic. Cool, see you later. I mean, you made your decision about who I am. Johnny, why did you say that? Okay, we can now have a conversation, right? People are always like, you did that.

Bro literally says, don't pray the Lord's prayer. Is that what I said? Or did you see a clip of what somebody thought I said and then clipped it and did a soundbite basically? Are we gonna have a conversation? Are we gonna sit there and be like, guys, don't even listen. I also think like the sinning, the sinning logic has come super natural to people. Like if I do something bad, that's a sin and it will not get me into heaven. Just because like, it's like, that is so natural with like just life in general to like school or something. It's like, oh, if I punch a kid at school, I'm gonna get kicked out of school. It's like, you just think, okay, if I sin, I'm gonna get kicked out of heaven or whatever. Just like very natural. That's like a very natural thing to just think. Do something wrong, consequences. Do something good, reward. But that's what that's taught in the world. That's why God says we're in the world. We're not of the world though. So like even those little things will knock it up. Like, oh. We're not under the submission of the world. The world has all kinds of things. Follow your thoughts, trust your heart, follow yourself.

But it's like the Bible never actually says that. So that's why I know the Bible is real because it's like, it will not say anything that's of the world. Totally. That's why it always flips everything on its head. Cause it's like, it's not meant for you to understand. And it usually goes against what you're used to. And that's why people find such discomfort in accepting it. Cause it's literally going against you. It is a war. One side is saying this, other side is saying that, and the battlefield is here. It's literally the mind. It's like the clashing, right? We fight. It says we don't struggle with flesh, but principalities, principles. Well, God has a principle and a standard. We have our standard and our principles. Now that clashes. That's what it is. Right. Dang. Clippy, clippy. Why, why is the, why is the flesh so strong in the sense that even after you kind of come to these realizations and you believe everything the Bible says, believe everything you say too. But yet it's like, we're so quick. It feels like we fall very, very quickly again. Yeah. Because there were creatures of habit. The Bible explains that like Satan understands patterns, right?

God is not patternistic. Like he doesn't, he, he's like out of nowhere. He creates something out of nothing. Like he's just sporadic almost. Right. So we don't like that. We like like things that we can predict things that we can control. Right. And so sin is the same way. It's like, Hey, like, look at this is your comfort level. Again, just go back to it. Versus like, what if I like believe in God and feel uncomfortable though? Like I rather not have that. I know that I can at least manage it on this side. So our hearts just, our, our flesh just flows back to it. Right. It's, it's just, it's, and then on top of that, there's just distraction everywhere. Yeah. Like we're distracted. Like I could sit here and determine, okay, I'm not going to lust, but then all it takes is one, you know, scroll, scroll literally. And it's like, Oh shoot. What the heck? And then you're like, Oh, now you're trying to fight that. And then like you watch on, on TV or Netflix or whatever. And then same thing, erotic scene. What? And you're just like, Oh, what the, and it's continuously like, it's being fed. It's like McDonald's advertisements, like Coca-Cola, they make millions and billions of dollars.

Why do they keep marketing? It's just to be like, Hey, just so you know, don't forget about us. We're here. Same thing. Satan's just like, Hey, I'm here still. And so we're like, yes, we're going here, but we're like, Oh, and it pulls us back. It's just distraction. You have to work really hard to find things to positively fill your time and space because everything else out there, for some reason, it feels like companies make more money off of negative things, only fans, gambling, addiction of even like the way that Instagram works, like your interests. So it's like, it's all a rat trap. That's why we're all traps. They need you. Their main purpose is they get you to stay on this app. So they'll do everything. Even if it's kind of like evil things and things to get you to stuck on that. They, it just feels like a, it just feels like an exhausting battle. It is for some until you meet core of the heart. Honestly, I was talking about that at main stage today where people were just sharing, like, man, I'm so thankful for this community. Cause you say this every day, but it's almost like we have to be reminded every day and it's because we're getting pulled every single day, every which direction realignment and we get realigned and it's a place where we can just chill and go. Oh yeah. That's literally what it is. I'm not depressed because of this. I'm depressed because I'm literally like not seeing the good. Nothing's pouring into me. Okay.

Let me go back here and recharge my spiritual battery. And that's just what it is because everything in this world is draining you spiritually. You got to go somewhere to recharge. And so that's why. Yeah, it's facts that it's like a, it's just a constant struggle. Like something I need to realize. And probably a lot of people need to realize is like, there's no end. It's like, it's about con you'll, you will forever have to like constantly fight this fight. Maybe it gets easier, but it's like, you look at alcoholics who have been sober for 10 years. And it's like, well, when did you crave your last drink? It's like yesterday. Yeah. But the point is they're just still fighting and they just have learned how to fight it. The other thing too, is it's very similar to health, right? Like once I realized the health stuff, I looked around the products in my, my shelf and my fridge, the mid, like even the plastic I was storing things in. I was like, Whoa, everything in my life is everything I'm putting in my body is negatively affecting me. So how am I supposed to feel good? Yeah. Or have any kind of like, I'm, my body's fighting the food that I put in myself every day. And then in the beginning, it was very hard to clean up my diet, order the right foods, package it the right way, even drink cleaner water, but once you figure it out, it's easy. And then the, the result afterwards, I'm like, I feel so much better.

You never want to go back. Hundo pee. Yeah. I. I still need to get out of that. I still need to stop eating flaming hot Cheetos and all that. But I feel it. I can't really feel it. You know what would really help if you go see the doctor and he shows you your blood work and you're like, dang, like that's what is happening to myself. I'm too easily distressed. Satan loves me. Yeah. It's like, this guy's too easy. Show me one scroll, one whiff through my car window. I'm like, I have one Pokemon go notification. He's like, maybe I should go to church. It's like Pokemon over here. He's like, wait a second. Sundays, that's community day. Exactly. You said isolation is bad. What about if it's like, you got to do a layup and if you hit the layup, you get $50 million, but if you miss the layup, you get your arms and legs taken off. That's easy, dude. Yeah. But the pressure of, if I whiff this layup, I could hit the backboard. So I just tap it in. Basketball players, you know what I'm talking about. Sometimes it's a, it could be in a park, double rim basketball court.

And I'd just be over here like a nub, just like, Hey guys, you don't need your limbs, you just need the gospel. He went for the challenge. What happened, Johnny? He risked it all. Yeah. Long story. Very short story. I went for a layup and I missed. Would you do it? Think about the pressure. No, you wouldn't. No. I would miss the layup. That's the thing. I'm really, give me something easier and make a three foot putt. Probably. Dude, that's even hard. I saw this one video where it was like, they put, put it literally a foot from the hole and it's just a ramp and he just drops all these golf balls. Yeah. That's not true. Well, that was, that, that was a certain, no, that's not true. Why? It's the same path. No, you can, you can get more precise than that ramp. Would you guys ever go skydiving? Yes, absolutely. Dang. It looks, it doesn't look that.

Dude. I think I'm not as scared as roller coasters now. Really? Really? Yeah. When we went to Orlando or not Orlando or, um, SeaWorld. Well, we're about to, we're about to test that theory next, next weekend. Dude, Jeremy, you just got to push me to do it. Really? But I don't want to bring that, that, that fishing boat stuff. True. Cause if you get all sick, then you're going to be corrupting. Hey, here's the thing. When Johnny gets nauseous, it's not that he's nauseous. He's angry that he's nauseous. So now he's angry and he's nauseous. Like it makes it worse. Nauseous. That's so true. I literally will sit there because I see people sit in an Uber or it's like kids on their phone as it's driving. And they're like, yeah, no problem. I literally check one Jeremy freaking text me. Right. He catches a lot of strays. I'm sorry, guys. He'll text the thing like, Hey guys, look at my little cat. Oh, chilly. And I'll do this. Oh, chilly.

And I literally want to throw up and I'm like, freaking chilly. Oh, dang. You leave her out of this. My people eat you. Hey, you leave her out of this. Yeah. But I was, I hate that. I'll look at it one time and immediately I'll start feeling like sick. And I almost, like, I just want to drive around with the, like a permanent patch. Right. Literally. And just be like, whatever, man, this is crazy. The second I look at my phone, I'm cooked. I'm like, nevermind. Yes. Ask me later. But, um, you, but what about roller coasters? You're not scared anymore or something? I don't know. Like, I feel like nausea bothered me, but I, I felt like. I like that. I like the challenge. And that was the scary, you guys are so, you guys are such liars guys. You don't need enemies when you have friends like Jeremy. Okay. Jeremy, he goes, this one. Isn't that scary? It's not as bad. No, no, no, no, no. First, there was a roller coaster that was like pretty scary.

It was pretty scary. It was scary. And, um, and then everybody, someone else told us the other one's not as bad. I feel like that was Jeff saying it. I don't know. He's Jeff admitted. It was worse. I don't know. We just, we just looked at them and we just didn't really, yeah, we didn't, we didn't really thought they were going to be the same level of scare. They both looked pretty scary. Yeah. And then we went on that and we're like, that's not bad. But like Johnny, I don't know. No, no, no, no, no. I know we, we wrote it together the first time. No, he wasn't on it. Yes. He was. No, no, no, no. The first time I was like, that was really scary, honestly, but it wasn't that bad. Like we can tell them that it wasn't that bad. Like, it'll be fine. Like, no, no, we didn't lie. We didn't know what the second one was going to be like. The second one. Was way crazy. It was way crazier. We got on that and we were like, whoa, no, no, no. We were like, yo, let's get in the very, very front.

Yeah. And how the roller coaster works is first of all, the first roller coaster that we rode that we thought was, you know, the first one we rode without Johnny, that was, we thought was super scary. This one is going up higher than where we went. And I was like, whoa, wait, I was like, is this my heart rate? Just thinking, I was like, why are we looking down at the other one? We looked and saw the whole. City, the whole sky and the beach. Yeah, why are we looking down to the other one? I didn't say anything. And then it takes you to the top and now you're flat and it's bending you around a corner and you can see a 360 view of San Diego. And I'm like, my heart is going through my chest but I don't want to freak Johnny out. Johnny's like, I hear him make that sound. And so we think- Jeff is over there silent. I know he's panicking. We think that this rollercoaster is just gonna drop and it gets to the edge and it hangs us. And I'm like, here we go. And it stops and we're just hanging there. Like feet dangling on all our body weight. I'm freaking out. I'm like, this is crazy. And then it drops and it's the craziest thing ever. It has like a loop and all that. Dude, to give you guys context, you guys don't know.

My first ever ride, my uncle forced me on this ride was Six Flags. I was 10 years old. I was at Six Flags. I was nine years old and I didn't make the height cut. I was like short. So he was putting like wads of tissue paper and like paper towels in my shoes to get there. And that was right when Goliath opened up. It was the main attract, before X, it was Goliath. Goliath at that point was like the tall, it had the craziest drop, right? And mind you, I was nine. Never ever been to any theme park. We were in the projects. No teacup, no log ride, no like carnival. Straight to Goliath. So I'm sitting here and I'm like, wee. I'm like all happy. But then I'm like, I look over and I see the whole parking lot of like Silmar, right? Six Flags. And I'm just like, oh, I start freaking out. Let me off, like screaming. And then he's just, my uncle's mind you, looking at me just, ha, belly laughing, dying, bro. And I'm just like, oh no, like, George, like what's going? And then boom, it drops. And I'm like, like I couldn't even, I was done. I was done.

After that, I couldn't even ride a log ride. I couldn't even do any, I was literally traumatized for years. And I went to, I got locked up and I never rode a ride again. And then here's Jeremy like, hey, come on, Johnny. And I'm like, all right, let's do it, you know? So I freak out. I legit freak out. But I feel like it's kind of weaned out of me now. So yeah, I'm gonna try it again. Right afterwards, you guys admitted that it was heart gaining. Jeff did not want to go either. He didn't want to, he wanted to gain heart. He was like, I wasn't going to be the one not to go. Because I sat there, he asked me, he goes, what would it take for you to get up there? I said, transparently, Jeremy would have to call me a female dog, because then I'm going to be like, what, all right, I'm going to show you then. I'm not scared, which would make me angry to go up there. I said, or if they were pastors here, I would go on to gain their hearts. And he heard that and was like, oh, I want to gain your guys' hearts. So shout out to you, Jeff. I see you, bro, I see your heart. He's like, all right, let's do it. And then it made, Jeremy treated us nicer after that.

I must say. It was so much nicer. Before that, he's like, come on, are you serious? Oh, it's okay. Are you serious, Johnny, really? I'm like, bro, I did go like, come on, that was when you were nine. It's true. Now you're not scared. You're 36 now, come on. I'm just like, no. Dude, I remember when it dropped. It was so scary. I couldn't let out a scream. I was like, ah. Literally took the breath out of us. Legit. Hey, but people don't know the story about Jeff. He got so nauseous, he puked on his way home. Really? Yeah. He had to park in. That's your fault. That's your fault. You're the one who said, oh, what would it take? I didn't tell him, Jeff, you no palabra. I didn't tell you, bro. It was him. I said, if pastors were here, and I was like, I don't need to gain their hearts.

I even said it, quote me. I was like, I gained their hearts more than enough. I'm not going on that thing. He sat there and he's like, dang. And then I was like, man, I want to gain Jeff's heart. So I was like, all right, let's go, bro. We can't hit the tier alone, bro. Like, you're my celly right now, you know? I got to back you up. It's hot on the yard. And so, boom, we hop up there and he's just like, bro, I don't even know what I'm doing up here. I'm like, I don't know what I'm doing up here, bro. And these two, they just like, you give them an inch, they take a mile. Hey, let's, can we sit in the back? No, let's sit in the front. Let's go to the front. So not only are we going to the craziest coaster, we're sitting in the front. So it's like the most G-force. We're sitting there and we're just like, all right, I can't get out. I'm literally freaking out inside. He's freaking out inside. I know Jeremy's freaking out inside, but he doesn't want to regret it. I was freaking out once we got up. I was like, this is way bigger than I thought. How is this one not scarier than the other one?

I was like, this is scary. That's so funny. That's crazy. Y'all aren't trusting enough. I'll kick back to my good friend, Eric. Eric Schwalbeck, shout out. He'd say, you can't rush the plan. If you were supposed to die that day, getting on or off the rollercoaster wouldn't have changed anything. Ah, true. Or you died on the rollercoaster. I'm just saying, nothing you can do would have changed the plan regardless. Dude, I like Aaron's logic though. What he helped me, he goes, bro, in 200 seconds, this will all be over. Literally said that. We'll be back on this platform and nothing will be different than right now. Literally, and I'm like, hmm. Anxiety? No, that's okay. He's on there 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7. Scared? Don't be. No. And that snapped me right out of it. But you're not scared anymore. I don't know. We'll see. We'll find out next weekend. We're about to go on a crazy rollercoaster in Universal. But no, but that rollercoaster we were on was like top tier. Genuinely, of any park I've ever been to, and I've been to a lot.

There's some scary ones in Universal Studios. From what I remember, I was in 7th grade. And I remember the Hulk. Same, same. I have a feeling, same. I haven't been since 7th grade. But I think that 7th grade, it's scarier. It can't be scarier than 7th grade. It was scary. That's my point. So there's no way it's going to be scary now. That's why I'm saying the one that we went on was like top tier. That thing was genuinely crazy. So you think Universal is not going to be as crazy? No, there will be stuff there. I mean, I think the Hulk is crazy. But I've never been on one that hangs you over the edge to contemplate life. Also, if the seat unlocks, you would die. The drop wasn't straight this way. It was straight. It was like inverted straight down. It was the craziest. I was like, what? Jesus. That was definitely top 10, top 5. I know. We could have just died. Like literally, if it just unlatched. Yeah. And then what you guys don't know was me and Jeff, we were like connected.

Yeah, right. So his wouldn't close. And then he's like, if his opens, yours opens. I'm like, uh. Yeah. I'm like, God, you legit have a sense of humor. I'm over here tripping. And I'm like, I'm breaking my heart. And he's like, no, you're going to break your life. You're going to break your back. We're going to die. And I'm like, what? And so they had to readjust him a couple of times. And I was like, oh, man. Right, because he sat on the far end just to give you space. And he's like, oh, you probably want to sit in the middle. That seat's small. So when he opened Jeff's seat, yours opened too. He's like, what? I remember you went, hey, mine opened. And he goes, oh, yours opened, his opened. You're all connected. I was like, what? I remember that. And I didn't want to say anything, because I could tell his mood was not like a jokey. I didn't want to be like, uh-oh. I was just like, let's just get him through the ride. Bro, that was crazy. I'm like, I pushed it down, and then it opened. And I was like, oh, yeah.

And I looked over to the left. None of your guys is open. Yeah, yeah, we were fine. And I was like, all right, yeah, I'm going to die. That's so funny. And all the other rides, you see a bunch of little kids coming off of, and it's fine. This ride was not. There was no one there. There was three or four other people there. Other people, you could tell at the park, were deciding not to go on this. Dude, I felt lied to. Good times. Hey, but now you're not scared anymore. I don't know. We'll see. Hey, don't forget to bring your drama meme. Hey, I'm going to get a roller coaster strap so we could get a video on a crazy one. Like, I'm going to, not a really secure one. Can you not do that? Why? Because then I don't want my face to be like. No, we're going to get live video. Oh, I'm going to close my eyes. Yeah. Yo, low key, that helps. Closing your eyes. Closing your eyes helps so much. Yeah, but that's cheating. No, it's not. Yeah, it is.

That's on easy mode. Yeah, it's easy mode. All right, I'm going to do that on every ride. We're going to tape your eyes open. You must look. Just get dental floss.
