What Are You Feeding?
Part 8
Let me ask you a question, what are you feeding? Because whether you realize it or not, you're always feeding something. It's your spirit, soul, or your flesh. What are you feeding? All right, so every day, you're sowing seeds into one of these three areas. Your spirit, which is the part that communes with God, your soul, which is your mind, will, and emotions, and your flesh, the carnal, sinful nature. So when we say feed your spirit, we're not talking about feelings or emotions. Your spirit is the real you, the part made alive in Christ when you got saved, and the word of God is the only thing that feeds it. But here's the issue. Most people are not feeding their spirit at all. They're feeding their soul with entertainment, TikTok, distractions, and social media. Or they're feeding their flesh with compromise, lust, and things that pull them away from God. Romans 8, verses five through six says, for those living according to their flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the spirit, the things of the spirit. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. So the Greek word for carnally minded literally means a mindset governed
by the desires of the flesh. It's not just sinful actions. It's perspective, worldview. Feeding the flesh creates a lens of death. Feeding the spirit produces peace. So whatever you feed grows, and whatever you starve dies. So if you feel distant from God, numb in worship, or lukewarm in your walk, it's not random, you've been feeding the wrong appetite. Just think about it. So many people are feeding their soul, feeding their flesh with social media. A lot of you probably found me on social media. That's where we go fishing, the digital realm. And we've seen so many people saved, delivered, healed on fire, lit up on fire through the videos on social media. But social media, if that's all you're watching all day, you're only feeding yourself from social media. What you feed is what's gonna birth. What you eat is what you become. So in the spirit, if you're listening to lies of the devil, you're feeding yourself that, you're gonna become that. But if you meditate and keep your mind and your heart, your soul, your ears, your eyes on the word of God, what begins to happen is you begin to transform in your soul. Your spirit man, which is being fed, begins to renew your mind.
You begin to catch revelation, have understanding, and grow in your walk in Christ. That's why it's so important to drink the milk and eat the meat. Some of you might be at the point of drinking milk because you're a baby in Christ, and you need to grow in your identity. Book of Ephesians one, Romans eight, these scriptures, Galatians, it teaches you identity. You need to grow in identity, grow in sonship, grow in revelation of you being a priest and a king. These are all foundational principles that help you in the future so you can endure to the end. The Bible says, Matthew 24, 13. Those who endure to the end shall be saved. So we gotta be intentional with feeding our spirit. Read the word of God daily. Some of you are like, I read the word. You read your morning devotional and you think it's enough. Look, I'm gonna tell you something. When you read, you meditate on it, and God should be giving you revelation and understanding. It's supposed to feed you. You're supposed to be reading throughout the day, a chapter a day, three chapters a day. You should be feeding your spirit, stopping everything you're doing for the day, 30 minutes to an hour, and actually grow. Have a desire to say that you've read the Bible in full. Have a desire to say that I'm a Christian
who's actually read the Bible that gives us instruction. How can you say you've been given instruction on how to walk this walk out if you're not reading the book that gives you the instruction? This is how you grow in relationship with God because he reveals truth to you and it becomes alive in the spirit when you believe and have faith in it in your heart. That's why it's so important to read. The Bible says we should not live off bread alone, off food, right? But off of every word that comes out of the mouth of God. Jesus said that we will not live off bread alone, right? He said it in the New Testament that he's the word of God, that eat his flesh, drink his blood. He's the Logos word wrapped in flesh. He's the revelation of the fullness of God bodily. He is the fullness of God bodily. And his scripture, his word, helps us grow in relationship with him, right? Pray in the secret place. Praying in the secret place alone with God in that meeting place, because we're always in the secret place, but praying alone with the door shut, it builds your spirit, man. You praying in the Holy Ghost, tongues, is so important because it's the Holy Spirit
interceding through you, which is the word of God. That's how you build up your spirit, cutting off the junk food of the spirit. Soul the social media watching TV for hours video games. Is it wrong to watch movies? No, be wise about what you watch though. You know, I hope you're not watching demonic things I can open up doors be wise about what video games you're playing Are you opening up doors through those things or allowing your children to and if you do watch movies play video games go to sports? Games, there's no problem with that But don't become obsessed with it to the point where it's becomes more of a priority than the Word of God then prayer than your intimacy with the Holy Spirit Starve the flesh through fasting and discipline. This is how you build yourself up to even get stronger. It's extremely important You don't need more motivation. You need more nourishment Some of you are lukewarm and dealing with all these things because you're not nourishing your soul your spirit You're not reading the Word of God. You're not praying in the spirit. So you're starving for the truth That's why the lies are becoming so powerful because you're not eating from the word Feed your spirit and watch your life transform. God bless you and see you guys in the next video
