Zion Church | Home Work Pt. 6 | Senior Pastor Keith Battle

Summary

Psalm 112 connects genuine devotion to God with the responsibility to build a strong foundation for the generations that follow. Generational wealth is more than money—it is the intentional transfer of stability, opportunity, wisdom, and resources so that children, grandchildren, and others connected to us do not have to start from the same place we did. Rather than allowing each generation to repeatedly “start from the ground,” the goal is for what one generation builds to become the next generation’s foundation.

The sermon emphasizes that building generational wealth requires spiritual conviction, wise financial habits, and intentional planning. Parents should prioritize providing for their children while preparing for their own future needs, and families should work together with unity and purpose. Through saving, investing, education, assets, insurance, and thoughtful spending, families can create lasting stability. Ultimately, the question is not simply, “What can this money buy?” but, “What can this money earn?”—using God’s blessings wisely so they can multiply and benefit those who come after us.
