Holy Disruption With Heather Schott | Why I had an Abortion
I had my first abortion. I was freshly 18, and I remember thinking to myself, First thing, women marching in streets, bloody it all, their shirts stuffed with fake babies and stabbing them. Chanting these words, my body, my choice. Abortion doesn't just hurt the women, but it leaves a stain on entire cities. Yes, yes. If you want to see a city that's really run down and broken, what's the abortion rate in that city? Wow. I'm thinking that I was actually being compassionate towards this child, because if I can't afford to take this child into my life, I'm actually more compassionate by getting rid of this child than bringing it into this scenario that I was in. What did the three abortions from 18 and into your 20s, what did that cause in you? Mm. Hello, everybody, welcome to another episode of Holy Disruption. I am your host, Heather Schott, and today we are celebrating a really exciting, powerful month and historical moment. June is life month, not pride month. This is the month that Roe v. Wade was overturned. We have never and will never recognize this month that the Lord has made as pride month. But in fact, this is the month that we celebrate the overturning, the victory of Roe v. Wade. A massive victory after almost 50 years. And now we were alive to get to witness this moment, to be a part of it, to tell our children, our grandchildren. Now, many states have followed to ban abortion, partial ban on abortion. But we won't stop until every state is a fully pro-life state where abortion, the murder, murdering of innocent lives is completely illegal. So there are so many lies that surround the pro-choice movement, as they call women's rights, trying to birth this false modern day civil rights movement that was for the protection and freedom of all people. The previous civil rights movement was for the freedom. It was the fight for the freedom of all people. Listen, abortion is the opposite. It does not protect the freedom of all people. In fact, it has killed 60 million lives. This is not a civil rights movement. This is a genocide.
So today we're uncovering the evil of what many of you have probably heard before, this feminist movement that they decree my body, my choice. And I have an incredible young woman with me on this episode today. I'm so excited to have her. She's going to be courageously testifying of the abortions that she had in her Y. Her name is Angela Gain. And of course, I also have the beautiful, strong to have Lynn Ford, a pastor at Mercy Culture Church. Thank you both for being here today. Thank you for having us. I'm so excited, Angela, to hear you testify. I believe there's going to be so much freedom that comes from your testimony. The Lord spoke over this house that it was a year to tell your whole testimony. And here you are today. I'm so excited. And I believe so many listeners are going to be set free from your testimony today. Thank you. Yeah, I'm excited to share it. I feel like it's a, especially in with Life Month happening, I feel like I've been asking the Lord, how do I be a part? And so when I got the invitation, I was so thankful to be a part of this movement in this way. You know, I was I was down to be in anyway, but I was really excited when I got this invitation. So thank you. Thank you for your yes. Thank you. I really feel it's important today that we expose the lies of this movement. And I really believe it has brainwashed so many women into, no, this is my right. We have to protect our rights. We have to fight for women's rights. You know, like it was back in the day, this women's right to vote. Great. Fight for that. That's beautiful. That's awesome.
It's using your voice. But as a woman, and I know you guys would probably agree, I do. It is not a part of my voice to murder my child. And this is this is what we're seeing right now. Yes, this is women's right and our freedom to be able to choose murdering our children and our legacy. And so I just wanted to open up first. And we're going to take a deep dive in your testimony. But but here's here's some of the lies that we hear from the pro-choice movement. And I feel like this is really important for Christians to hear, because some Christians really struggle and they have like this toxic empathy. But like, oh, no, what about the the mom that was raped? And what about this scenario? And, you know, what if what if mom's life is on the line? Because we hear. Here are these things being said of how uncompassionate one side is versus the other. And this is really a manipulation on compassion because here's the truth, guys. Here's some abortion statistics for you on age and on health issues. So first of all, only 1% of abortions are done because of the abnormality of the baby. So there's some type of health condition that they're never going to be able to live a normal life. And so it's the compassionate thing to apparently murder your child because they're not gonna have a perfect or normal life, which obviously we believe is still not a reason, but only 1%, okay? Then 2% is for any other health concerns in the child. 0.3%, less than half of a percent, you guys,
is the risk to the mother or a major bodily function for a mom, okay? But we hear this all the time. What about a mom that's gonna die? Less than a half percent of abortions are for that. And then listen to this. Half of, less than half of a percent is also for rape or incest. This leaves 96% of all abortions are elective or unspecified, have nothing to do with what they call compassion issues. And we're gonna break down what is that 96% really? Now, here's another excuse that we hear or reason why we should be compassionate towards abortion. And it's what if the 14 to 15 year old, they get pregnant, they're too young to take care of baby, which again, we can get into that later, because no, we believe, yes, you can. Yes, you can. And many young women and teenagers that I've seen that do get pregnant and have baby, it actually brings them so much purpose in life and beauty into their life. But let's just hear statistics because again, it's not the truth that this is what abortion is serving teenagers that can't take care of babies. In 2021, the most common age group in having abortions at 30% was age 25 to 29. Full grown women, responsible,
totally capable to take care of babies. Now you wanna know 15 and younger made up less than 0.2%. 0.2% is 15 and younger. So here's the thing, Angela, what the world is saying, hey, we need abortion as a tool to serve these areas is it's just not the truth. It's not the truth. It's not why women are having abortions. It's not. And then they birth this feminist movement where we're seeing women marching in streets, bloody doll and their shirts stuffed with fake babies and stabbing them. And I mean, it's become this disgusting movement chanting these words, my body, my choice. Angela, your story is one that I believe is so powerful for right now because you weren't the 14 year old. It wasn't because of rape. It wasn't because your life was on the line. It wasn't because baby's life was on the line. Yeah, I think you represent so many women today. Would you share your testimony with us and we'll get into the why, we'll get into the why. Yeah, so at a, it's still a young age, about 18. I was freshly 18, but by this time, I was already convinced by the world that who I was was who the media told me, who music told me, my life purpose was the very thing that I was serving.
And so at this time, around 18, I had my first abortion. I was freshly 18 and I remember thinking to myself at this time, wow, I'm so glad I made it past 17 because I didn't have to tell anybody. I didn't have to tell a single soul. My boyfriend at the time, he knew and we were obviously unbelievers, not obviously, but we were unbelievers at that time. And he didn't want it. And it's weird because yes, I didn't want it either, but there was a small part of me that I think back now of if he would have been like, you know what? I do want it, let's figure it out. I probably would have been more open to the idea of figuring it out. But I think because of the state of how we, one, media, culture, what it tells us, music, what it tells us how we should live our lives, movies. And then the way that we are in these godless relationships, because God wasn't leading that relationship, there was no way for somebody to lead me into wanting to keep a life. And so. I think at that time, I chose, well, if he doesn't want it, I definitely don't want it. I don't want it to be hard on me. I don't want it to be hard. I'm thinking in my mind, this false deception that I was actually being compassionate towards this child, because if I can't afford to take this child, you know, into my life, bring it in to feed it, to clothe it, to do whatever, I'm actually more compassionate by getting rid of this child than bringing it into this scenario that I was in.
Yeah, I think we're hearing that a lot right now is you have politicians, media, everybody saying, you can't do this. Yeah. You can't do this. And here's the reasons why you can't do this. You hear that long enough. You're too young. You're too this. This is your background. These are the things that you need to accomplish in your life. And this child will get in the way of what you're accomplishing. And do you know what it costs? And you can't afford and all of the reasons as to why. And so it's so powerful what you're saying, because it was almost as if a decision was actually made up for you because of the brainwashing of culture and this movement. My body, my choice had already given you the reasons why you can't. So you believed this is why I can't. And then it's you talk about that you were fully walking and living out, you know, the my body, my choice mindset. Yes. What does that mean? Yeah, I think for for me at the time, I just believe that I had this power to make a decision because I've been given the freedom by the women that came before me to fight this hard that when you when you buy into that mindset, you're almost saying you're saying I I'm not putting to waste the votes and the things that these women fought for. But it's a perverted you take it all the way to a perverted measure where you're saying, well, they fought for my freedom. So I should have full freedom in how I live, how I experience life, the decisions I make, the life, the lives that I decide to bring into the world or not. And so I think for me and many in the movement, but that that was the embodiment of like what
this meant. It wasn't you almost felt like a good citizen because you were you were you were taking the stance because you were like, so many people fought for you to be free. So why don't you just take freedom all the way into your your body, into your, you know, whatever it is your decisions are. And so I think that was for me, the embodiment of the my body, my choice now how people decide to view that is how they view that. But I think that is that's what I grew up remembering, hearing that this is not just for you to to take on your body. This is for all women everywhere, you know. And so I think that movement just really tainted how I saw myself and what true freedom actually was because I was actually in bondage to this ideology of my body, my choice, because I I would be in sin after sin. And I actually ended up having three abortions over the total course of my young history in abortions. But because of that movement, I was just stuck in a cycle of like, oh, no, this isn't my choice. This is my choice. And really, it wasn't my choice. I was just shamed into it. I was I was fear based making decisions. There were just so many things that led me to that decision that wasn't actually freedom. It wasn't a freedom of choice. It was fear leading me. It was shame leading me. Even just thinking about being a black woman. I think this you become a statistic. And I was like, I do not want to be a statistic. I'll do anything to not be that because there's so much shame wrapped around that statistic rather than bringing light of how beautiful it is to actually bring a life into the world,
whether you're black, white, whatever. I felt the shame of like, oh, no, my parents are going to think I'm another statistic, a young girl, unmarried, no kid with a kid. And I just I'd rather not have a kid than fall into that shame, which is so so dumb in essence. Yeah, which is interesting because it's actually the opposite right now. Like the statistics of what they're doing is one out of every two babies that's born out of the black community is actually aborted. And so you're being told don't be a statistic as you are becoming a statistic. And so isn't it like the enemy to just infiltrate, right? Hey, here's your reasons as to why to murder, to kill. Here's this this movement that you're a part of for women. And then here is how to be a strong black woman to not become. And it's so perverted. It's such a perverted. form of justice. I love where you're, Angela, going into right now because you talked about the mindsets of the false ideologies of being a part of this woman's movement, my body, my choice. But what was it really? You talked about fear and shame. But what really spiritually do you believe you were adopting, receiving, and what was leading you through believing those lies? Yeah, I do think a lot of it was fear. If I could look at the root of why I made this decision, it was just fear and selfishness. So maybe pride, yeah. But just fear that I wasn't able to live out this life
the way that I wanted to in the fullness. Fear that I wouldn't be accepted by my family. Growing up in a household, military dad, very strict, and I'm doing the opposite of what he would probably expect. So the fear of being casted out from my home. Yeah, there were so many things. Fear of my boyfriend at the time not staying with me because I'd have the child. And that was a real threat from that, of like, if you keep this child, we're breaking up. So there was a lot of fear, I would say, wrapped up into that. And so to make this decision, and honestly, I was in a debasement. I was away from the Lord. I decided to reject him at 17 and call myself an atheist at the time. So I think there was just a lot spiritually as well that was happening that I was experiencing to make this decision. But I would say at the center of it, if I could think of one thing that would keep me away or that kept me from having a child, it was fear. Just truly fear of like, I don't know. The unknown, you know, what do I do? I show up places. You know, and I wasn't really, I had a friend that was a pastor's kid, one of my best friends at the time. And I was like, you want me to show up at your church?
Like, I just thought of it with a baby in my belly. Absolutely not. You know, at that time I experienced, you know, a lot of shame even in the church in ways. So there was just no way, no community, no circle that I could put myself in or decision that I could see this being a good idea. Not enough places for truth to be infiltrating all of the deceptive lies that were infiltrating. Correct, yes, a hundred percent. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. In fact, tonight we draw a line in the sand and we cancel the assignment of the enemy affects the men of our nation. And we say arise. We say arise. We say arise. God, we say Lord the evening comes to kill, steal and destroy it. But I come to give you life. And life more abundant. God and abortion. Send revival to America. Fear is such a powerful weapon that I believe is really moving through this movement where like the chant is for strong, free women. But it's really full of a bunch of fearful women in bondage. Yes. And it's really, really wild that women would be marching, believing that it's for their freedom when instead they're the ones murdering their babies and their legacy that is actually placing them in more bondage. It's really a wicked agenda.
DeHavilland, what do you feel like is behind this movement? This feminist movement? Well, first, I'm so thankful for Angela just coming. Yes, I know. And such transparency and sharing and you are exposing so many lies. Yes. I know women that will watch this are gonna get received their freedom. First of all, you know, Planned Parenthood, they're like the ones you ever meet someone, they cut you and then they hand you a Band-Aid and yet you're still bleeding out and they walk away. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's exactly what the Planned Parenthood does. And unfortunately, we have people in high places from the music industry to the government, to the education, to you think of every seven mountain in society, we have leaders that are prey on the weak. And I like to call them paid actors. The reason why I call them paid actors is because what they do, they say, hey, I have a solution. I feel your pain. And how much money? They'll take your money. And unfortunately, they prey on the minority community. They prey on weak women. And they'll feed you this bill of life that it's going to be better once you have the abortion.
I have never met a woman who's had an abortion that it's been better. If you peel back the layers, there's trauma, there's suicide, there's anxiety, there's so many layers that happen. Double dose of shame. Double dose. What we've heard, shame, fear. How is there freedom? It's actually bondage. And so I believe what has to happen is these people, especially politicians, it's time for us to start to place righteous leaders in office in these communities that care about the weak. And so I've seen where, even in my own life, someone that I know had three abortions. And I remember them telling her, your life will only get better from here, right? And even after that, of course, she's in a great place. She's walked with the Lord. The Lord has transformed her. But all of that, her life didn't get better. It actually got worse. And unfortunately, they do this with minority women a lot. It's a lot of feeding them this lie that if you'll make this decision, things will get better for you. All the while they're pocketing the money and you don't see it go back into the communities. You don't see it go back into our schools.
You don't see it go back. It actually hurts the minority community. Absolutely. Now we've seen 90% of black women continuing to give their vote to this party. And the reason why I hammer this, because I believe that when you start to see freedom stories like this, it's gonna change and shift the narrative. And it's gonna start to silence the voice of these players that are in these high places that keep feeding and keep lying that your life will get better. You said a pivotal statement. You said paid actors. I've heard you preach the message a couple of times. And you've also said the paid weepers. I wanna take a deep dive into this because I believe that is this movement. That is this movement, that they've come as the compassionate ones to support you. We understand the other side doesn't understand. All the while, they're removing Jesus, they're removing biblical values. Let's remove all of that. So you have girls and kids and sexual relations younger and younger and younger. And then, oh, as you're having sexual relations younger and younger, because we've removed all morale out of lives. Now, let us give you our next solution here.
Just go have these abortions. That's what's gonna tear down your body, your mind, your psychological place, spiritual, everything, your emotional health, all of it. And so you have women that are not stronger. You don't have stronger women. You have weaker, more broken women. And so I love this revelation that you have and that you've brought. And I just wanna expose, what are the paid actors? Well, the paid actors are the medical doctors. The paid actors are the people who work in these clinics. The paid actors are the one that are sent to the high schools to try to tell the 14-year-old, like, you can have sex without consequences. The paid actors are the ones that are holding stake in the communities that refuse to be removed from their seats, that are saying all the right things. And honestly, at the end of the day, it's hurting the communities. The communities, abortion doesn't just hurt the women, but it leaves a stain on entire cities. If you wanna see a city that's really run down and broken, what's the abortion rate in that city? And so, but these people are still, these stakeholders are still in their seats. Now they're living, they don't live in those communities, come on now. They don't live in those cities, right? And so what I'm saying is I feel like it's all about money
and it's really unfortunate. You know, and this is why I'm so grateful for our president and what's happening with this new administration, because they're draining the swamp, meaning the funds are drying out. And so why doesn't some of this money that's being used go to actually building up the woman? Building up. I don't know one woman that chooses life. Of course, there's gonna be problems that God has not provided for that baby and for that mama. There's so many amazing programs out there. Why not fuel those programs? Why not put money? So not only does the woman or the family thrive, but the community thrives. And so that's why I feel like these paid actors, these people, they say, oh, they weep, they weep, they weep. You see it in the music and the commercials and all these things, but at the end of the day, they leave. you bleeding out on the side of the road. And this is why we need the moral compass. Look, the Bible says if the salt loses its flavor, how will it, right? If the salt loses its flavor, it's no good. And so the church, again, the black church, and the church has to be the answer in the community. And so it's not just about a black thing. I know abortion has no, you know, no color.
But unfortunately, these paid actors need to be removed. And the only way this can happen is redemptive stories, but also reformation and these people being ousted out. For example, Jesse Jackson, you know, he coined the term black genocide. We need, now he's, of course, unfortunately pro-choice, but we need leaders to rise up in these communities that are gonna tell the truth and then set up programs to walk with these women after. Even, you know, after. Once they've had the baby, provided, and all the things. That's when I say paid actors, people that don't really care. You're talking about people that are making money off of women's pain. They make their pimps, their social pimps, their governmental pimps, their educational pimps, and they'll pimp you out. And guess what? You're left without a legacy because your children are inheritance from the Lord. So, you know, what's not being talked about, another thing on the other side, and it is the amount of women that are having abortions. What is happening to them afterwards? And that's what you were just talking about. There's oppression, there's depression. They can't, if they couldn't afford to take care of babies, like they can afford for the counselors, for the trauma, the experiences
that they've had to go through. And so I wanna talk about that with you, Angela, is on the other side, and I'm just gonna provoke you to be authentic and vulnerable, which I know you're going to. But what did the three abortions from 18 and into your 20s, what did that cause in you? A lot of hidden turmoil, I would say. I think I was living a very promiscuous life. I was doing drugs. I was drinking myself under the table. And, you know, I had this thing back in the day where I would suppress my memory. And it wasn't until I came to the Lord that he started to really touch this place. So I think throughout the time of me not knowing the Lord, I was just under the influence constantly because of just hidden turmoil. You know, you don't really think about it. You just know life doesn't feel great, so let me numb myself. But once I came to the Lord, you know, I expected this part of my testimony to just instantly be healed. And I actually remember when Roe v. Wade got turned over and I was in the sanctuary serving in the meeting room and I remember it happening. And I went through so many emotions. I was obviously celebrating, like, yes.
But there was a part of me that was like, I wish this would have passed before I could have ever had my first abortion. And that was new for me. That was like such a new feeling of, oh, I didn't know God this still hurt. And I'd been saved at that time like four years, five years at that point. So it was like he was starting to slowly bring this up. And I think the healing journey has continued. You know, this being able to tell this without fully breaking down is one, a huge win. But two, I think the Lord, there's just some beautiful things that he wants to do and some lies that he wants to break off, you know, like the lie that I'll never be able to have kids again. The lie that, yeah, the lie that I, you know, I'm unlovable, you know, or that a future potential husband wouldn't wanna choose me because I was so selfish. Or that, you know, anyways, any number of lies that I could think of, I feel like the Lord is constantly in this time of healing, just wanting to one, heal me, heal my heart, show me how much he loves me, is after me. But two, empower me to, you know, throw the enemy off his base and like really let people, women know, like you don't need to go this route. There's a more beautiful route.
And if you have gone this route, there is healing for you, you know? And I think I'm constantly experiencing that every time I talk about this, every time Life Month comes around, every time, you know, I talk to somebody who's been through something similar, or even when I'm around families. That's been such a beautiful thing about this community this season. I've been so healed by all the families and all the children. We have so many. kids just everywhere now, and I'm like, oh my gosh, this is so beautiful, Lord. I feel like I, in a way, get to share in the beauty of the blessing of children because I get to, you know, just be around so many families with beautiful kids that I don't, you know, I feel the healing, you healing me in a different way. Maybe that wasn't the way that you intended, but like I, I see now how beautiful these kids are. So it's been a, it's been a wild journey, but I would say post, especially not knowing the Lord, there was no thinking about it. There was just a numbing. There was just a inner turmoil and a constant sin cycle that I was stuck in to now knowing the Lord of, okay, there's real grief. There's real things that the Lord wants to deal with and, you know, and, and things I have to confront, but it truly is his strength and his joy in the midst of like some of these hard, real realities that you face when, when you do make a decision or decisions like that. And so I feel like that has been the journey that I am walking in and, and getting to share it more. I feel like I'm, I'm just, there's just more revelation and more healing that he's doing. Do you feel that you encountered more shame of the realization after your three abortions? Like I killed three of my babies. Was there a shame that hit greater than the fear of shame prior of the thought of you being pregnant at 18 years old? Oh, a hundred percent. So much shame. I honestly, I think the first, like when I first came to the Lord, you know, he didn't bring shame, but the enemy brought shame quickly, you know,
and it was like, you're a murderer. These are God's gifts. And now they're, they're nowhere to be found. They're in heaven. They're, you, you know, you're a poor steward, you're, and you know, it's funny, the, the last, not funny, but a little strange, but the last abortion that I had, the lady was, she had had three abortion, abortions herself. And. Who is this? This is one of the ladies at the clinic. And actually this clinic was a Christian clinic, which I didn't know. So this was like on my way to my third abortion, Christian clinic in California of all places. And this lady is just asking me about my story. And I'm like, yeah, this is the reason why I'm going to get this abortion. You know, I'm just, I'm going to do it. I just, I just need to do this because they'll write it off for free. If I take it through this, do this course. Anyways. So the lady starts telling me her story and I, I quickly begin to realize this is a Christian clinic and she's like, yeah, you know, I had three abortions myself and actually I haven't been able to have any kids after that abortion, the third abortion. And I was like, oh, wow, that that's a strange coincidence. That sucks for you, but I probably don't want kids anyway. So I'll take my chances. Ended up having the abortion afterwards. And she was checking up on me actually previous before I went and actually had it to make sure I didn't because I kind of, I lied and I told her I wasn't, I wasn't going to have one. I was like, just give me the paper, but I'm not going to have this abortion. But you know, I had every intention to. And since coming to the Lord, I think about that and the enemy loves to be like, you're, you inherited whatever that woman had. She wasn't able to have kids after her third, you know, abortion. And now you're, you're going to, you know, and I've been having to break that, that lie of like, that's, that's not what God brought that moment for. I so understand what you're saying right now. I, um, I had, this is before the whole my body, my choice movement because I'm old, but like, uh, when I was a teenager, there was three different times that I took the day after pill. And so because I'd had unprotected sex, then the next day it was okay. Run into Planned Parenthood and they just give you those pills out like candy. And I did that three different times. And I ended up when Landon and I were married later, obviously been redeemed, give my life to Christ, but I had three miscarriages. And I remember hearing the voice of the enemy of this is why you'll, you'll never be able to have children because you did this and you're going to have to pay for what you did. And it's that's,
that's what it sounds like. That's what you're experiencing right now for those that are listening right now. And this is the beautiful mercy of God and mercy means undeserved kindness that we're so undeserving, but he's so good. Yeah. That he paid it all on the cross. So even Angela, I just want to say to you, um, those are lies of the enemy and it's not true. You're going to be a mama and you're going to have babies and you have somebody that made the same mistakes in my life. And what's crazy is I have three children. And then I'm gonna adopt and I'm gonna take in other babies and we're gonna open an adoption agency. We're just gonna have hundreds and thousands of babies adopted to just give the enemy a black eye, you know, more than a black eye, you know? And so the beauty of you getting to celebrate now other mothers and their children is seeds that you're getting to sow now that's so beautiful. And so I just want anybody that's listening that's heard any of the lies that you and I have heard, that's why the Bible calls him the father of lies. That's what he does. He's the accuser of the brethren that he comes to accuse. But God's blood is so much greater. He's so much greater. And I feel like this is just a beautiful time to tell women, yes, you can. And I think you and I, probably all of us in our life have heard too often by culture all the reasons why we can't. And I heard the same lies. You're a teenager, you'll be shamed, you'll shame your family, all of those things. It is not true. A child, a baby, it doesn't matter if you're 14, if you're 24, if you are 34, a child is a miracle from God. It is a miracle that our bodies can produce. These lives, care for it, birth these lives and then raise them. I feel the Holy Spirit just testifying of the miracle that a child is. And this is why Satan who loves death would love to attack the miracle and the only, women
are the only sex that can birth these miracles like this. So of course Satan is going to attack the ability God has given women to produce life or to produce these signs and wonders, these miracles that what bear his image in the earth. And so I just want to take a moment, all of us to just tell women, yes, you can. You can do it. And so you have heard from culture, you have heard from the professors, you have heard from politicians, you've probably heard from a mom and dad or a lack of a mom and dad and somebody else in your life that you can't do it for whatever reason, because of your race, because of your age, because of your background, because of your neighborhood, because you don't have enough money, because whatever. But you can do all things in Christ who strengthens you. Yes, you can. We are a group of women that are telling you it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. You can do it. And we believe in you. You're like, ah, you don't know me. It doesn't matter. I don't need to know you. I know a mighty God who is merciful, who is full of grace, who is full of love for you and for that child in your womb. And we're telling you today, yes, you can and watch and see that this child in choosing life for this child or for future children that you have will be some of the greatest blessings. Yeah, there's the memes that are like, raising children is crazy. And last night I'm with my boys and they're like a Nerf gun in the house and Nerf's are flying as I'm trying to have a conversation with my grandparents, you know, and minister to them. Like that's life. But that's also beautiful.
Beautiful. Yep. That's beautiful. It's life and it's sound and relationship that fills your home that the enemy does not want you to have. And you know, the Bible says the father of the father, he's a father to the fatherless. And so whenever those that are listening to this, you choose life, you now have a father for your child. The father is the father to the fatherless. He will provide every single need that you have, even if it's an adoption or if you choose to keep that baby. There's so much support that that's out there now. You're not alone. There's so many crisis pregnancy centers that there's so much that's available, the spiritual churches, the church family. So we have to, this is us. This is us right now ripping that Band-Aid and then putting on the ISAF saying you can and you will. And that child, listen, that child will grow up to be an amazing man and woman of God. So yes, you can. Yes. Yeah. And I just think that if you're in the middle of making this decision, choosing life, it truly is when you get to experience the blessing that God has for children. But so you get to see God be strong and faithful in your life. He could be the provider that you don't need to provide for yourself. In this instance, I think that's a big thing that, you know, even just with inflation, all the things, things that people can make up to say that life isn't worth it. God is truly the provider. He is truly the protector, the keeper.
And I love that you said that he does father the fatherless, that you don't have to worry about even fathering your own children if you submit them and submit yourself. onto him, that you could be strong in him. Absolutely, and so I want everybody to hear as loud and clear right now of us saying, yes, you can, you can do it. I wanna say there are a few scenarios in life that you may say, thank you for encouraging me. I really feel like because I have this massive thing or issue or situation in my life, I cannot raise this child. And if you really feel that strongly, let me encourage you. There are courageous women out there that have had and birthed their babies and allowed families that can't have children or want many children to be able to adopt. Many courageous women that chose life for their child but got to give, allow adoption to take place for the families that have been waiting. Some families have been waiting for years to adopt a child. And so if you will feel like you're in one of those scenarios that just says, I actually don't have the physical ability to be able to raise this child, choose adoption. You are still choosing life for that child. Angela, I'm so proud of you because when you came to Mercy Culture, I didn't know your whole history. I didn't know your full testimony
and your pastors preach the full truth in the gospel. And there's mercy and love and beauty and relationship that I think a lot of pastors don't realize that you can preach the truth and not compromise on the truth. And that there's love, restoration, redemption. In fact, that actually allows the Holy Spirit to fully have his way in people's lives because we're not operating in fear, in fear of man. We're letting God fully be God and let his word and his presence do in people's lives. But I'm so proud of you because a lot of people would say, hey, Mercy Culture may not be the easiest place for somebody coming out of a history, which is kind of wild because that's my background. So I'm like, wait, what? I'm like, God did it in my life, so I'm pretty sure he's going to do it in yours. But what I feel like is really, really powerful is for you to get to encourage pastors, you to get to encourage spiritual leaders. Don't give people a watered down message. Don't compromise on truth. You're a living testimony, I'm a living testimony of being in atmospheres where the truth was breached and we grabbed a hold of it and it was nourishment to our souls. It led us in a direction that we had never had before. And now I'm preaching of what it was to me. I want you to get to testify.
What has an atmosphere full of truth, presence, the unwavering stance on the word of God, what has that done in your life? Yeah, yeah. I wanna honor you and Pastor Lennon and every pastor here, honestly, that doesn't waver on truth because it's so healing, one, to hear God's full desire for man, for life, for things of that nature, and then also be reconciled from your sin to that same God that says, this was my perfect plan and yet I still stand in the gap for you to bring you into the fold, for you to still be enough to come in here because I was enough for you. And I think when I hear the countless abortion messages that we've ever preached here, I never walk away feeling shame. Not once, not one time am I thinking like, oh yeah, they're definitely talking about me, but more so I feel empowered to continue to live this lifestyle and to the Lord that for my future kids, for those who are having kids around me that maybe are struggling with this, that I know truth and say, this is actually God's desire and then here's his mercy that comes with that truth.
And so I feel like an environment like this has helped me both heal and grow closer to just what that truth is. When we say children are a gift, we can say it and almost say it in passing, but when you're told the importance, the statistics, what God's word says, you really start to believe it and you grow that heart and then like, oh no, children truly are a gift. And so God, whether it's my child, whether it's the children around me, I'm looking at them like they are your gift to this earth because that's what your word says because I've grown to know the truth through my pastors, through the leaders, through the word itself of what you say about kids. And so I honor you guys because I believe that if you guys would have withheld, which I don't see that ever happening, but if you would have withheld, I just would have missed out on this opportunity to come. into the truth of God but also the mercy of like how good he actually is. You know what I mean? You don't get to know that. And like when you get to bring all of your junk out and expose it all and you're like, oh these people love me, this house loves me, and like God radically loves me and I don't have to carry it like hidden anymore. Wait, that's such a powerful point of what you just said. You actually get to fully encounter and receive all of God's grace in your seat when you get to fully expose it and put it out there and see there's a community and a God that loves me with all of that. And that's freedom. Yes, truly, truly. That's freedom right there. The kind of freedom that you're searching for when you're away from God, you can only be found in truth, mercy, grace, and in a community of people who seek after that. I want you to look into your
camera and I want you to speak straight to pastors with authority. Yes. Because I'm calling on you. I'm telling you as your pastor. I want you to encourage pastors why they need to preach the truth. Yes. To every pastor that is out there that cares for their sheep, that cares for their flock, that says that they want to pastor people, the best way for you to pastor anybody into a fold into more of God is to tell the truth. Tell it in love. Tell it in mercy. Know and trust that God will get the message across. I've been so blessed by the boldness of this house because what it does is it cuts all the compromise. It gets straight to the truth, but it also shows the fullness of God and his mercy for me as an individual, but for his people. If you're struggling about this topic, if this is a topic that you feel is heavy or you feel like you're walking on eggshells around, don't wait any further. Don't compromise. Tell the whole truth about what happens when you choose to go away from God, but also the beauty of coming into the things of God like life. I call on you pastors that maybe are struggling with this topic or any hard topic, but specifically this topic, be bold. The time is now. There's no time to wait. The state of America, the state of the world needs your voice and needs the truth. In Jesus name. I'm so proud of you, Angela. Thank you. You have encouraged me so much today. I would love to just close in prayer. Angela, if you would pray for the women that have had abortions or are contemplating for healing in their bodies with the courage to keep their babies and then to have Lynn, would you pray for this agenda to be exposed and tore down in our nation? We're going to war for women and we're going to war against this agenda. Lord, I thank you that you see every daughter that is in either the middle of a decision or has already gone through with a decision. God, that you see them individually. God, God, your word says that you're close to the brokenhearted. And so those that have gone through the decision or grieving about a decision or even contemplating a decision, God, I thank you that you're drawing near to them right now. Father, I pray that your comforting spirit would just surround them. God, I pray that you would begin to speak truth where the enemy starts to speak lies. Father, that, that, that those lies would be null and void. God, I pray right now for every woman that is contemplating that they would choose life, life. I speak the blood of Jesus over your situation right now, that his authority is the highest authority in your life. And so Lord, would you come make way in their lives, Father? And then for those that have even gone through this, that are feeling shame right now, God, I just pray that that shame
would be broken off in Jesus name, that they don't have to be bound to shame, that they don't have to be in turmoil, but that they can choose the peace of God. God, in Isaiah, it says that if we keep our eyes on you, that you are the one that provides that peace. So Father, would you provide the peace for those that are struggling right now to even keep their eyes on you, Father? I pray right now that you would just draw near to them, show them who you are, Father, in this time, in this place, even as they're just contemplating hearing this message, God, that they're feeling things right now. Holy Spirit, would you have your way in their lives, Father? Would you, would you show them right now that this was, this message was for them, that this is something that you want to do through them, that there's healing that is available for them. And so healer, would you make your way even through this screen right now, make your way. Lord, I'm thankful for the testimony. I'm thankful for the testimonies that will come from hearing this message, Father. I'm thankful for what you're going to do and the stories we will hear of the women who decided to keep their kids. I'm thankful for the stories of healing that comes over the women that have already gone through the process. God, I just thank you that you are so faithful, that you love us so radically, and that the women or even the men, the husbands, the boyfriends of the women that need to hear this message, that you would move on their hearts, that you would show them that there's another way. Lord, I thank you that you are the way. We honor you, Jesus. You are the way. Yes, God. And Lord, we thank you. You said in your word that our fight is not against flesh and blood, but against powers and principalities. Lord, would you restrain? Would you restrain this agenda at the highest spiritual level? And Lord, I also ask on a regional, on a local, and on a national level, would you drain the
funding of Planned Parenthood? Would you drain every program, everything set from media to government to entertainment to church, every area, Lord, that this demon has been fueling abortion and feeding the culture and feeding women lies, that you would drain the funding? And would you replace righteous leaders, women and men who actually care and carry the heart of God into these cities, Lord? And these cities will be known for life. And these women will be redeemed in trophies of grace, Father, as you begin to break this agenda off of a whole nation. And we again, we say, yes, you can. And we say June will be life month as you overturn this agenda in the nation in Jesus' name. In Jesus' name, amen. Well, join us for Life Month this June. Go to citizensforlife.com. Send a march near you. Go march in cities near you for life. We are believing that we are taking back spiritual ground from state to state for life. In these marches, we're praying, we're lifting up the name of Jesus, the highest authority over our states, that they turn back to bringing glory to God and turn back to pro-life states. And so every single June, we are decreeing June is life month and across the nation and hopefully even into the nations, there will be life marches, Citizens for Life marches. So if you want to lead a Citizens for Life march in your state, in your city, you can also go to citizensforlife.com where you can sign up to do that or text life to 59090. Thank you for being a part of this episode today. Thank you ladies for coming. It was a joy. And we pray that you received freedom and go stand for life. He is the truth, the way, and the life. We'll see you on the next episode.
