YOUR DENOMINATION CAN'T SAVE YOU | Richard Lorenzo Jr.
"Your Denomination Can't Save You"
In this message, Pastor Rich confronts the tendency to place confidence in religious labels, traditions, or affiliation rather than in Christ Himself. The heart of the message is that no denomination — however sound or familiar — has the power to save; salvation is found in a living relationship with Jesus alone. He challenges believers to examine whether they're leaning on the identity of their church or camp instead of genuine surrender to God. The message calls listeners past religious boundary lines and into authentic faith, reminding them that what saves is not the name over the door but the condition of the heart before God.

I wanna give you guys some purpose here. Today, we're gonna watch a video that the team has assembled because for those that don't know, Richard and the team went to Philadelphia
to spark revival. They went to Philadelphia to spark revival. They went to Kensington specifically, where they call it zombie land and there's a bunch of people on drugs and it's just darkness, but they got to see the light of Jesus Christ. They got to see the gospel being preached to them. They got to see Jesus through the team, hallelujah. And I wanna give you guys purpose today when we watch this together. Go ahead and play the video for me. Philadelphia 2026, come on. They had lines, people waiting. Look at that, look at God's people, man, hallelujah. Wow, look at all those that came together to worship the Lord on the 4th of July weekend, man. Look at this. Look at this move of God. Truly, truly, wow. Laying hands, baptism. Hallelujah, look, look, look, look, look, look at that. The gospel was preached, souls were saved, souls were baptized. Wow, glory be to God. This is Kensington Outreach. This is when they hit the streets, look. Preaching the gospel in a dark place where many people won't go. Look at that man, look.
Receiving love, hands being laid on him in the physical. Look at that, praise the Lord, man. Praise the Lord, praise the Lord. Hallelujah, look, hundreds surrendered their lives to Christ and hundreds were baptized, whoo-hoo-hoo-hoo. Doesn't that give you purpose, body of Christ? Doesn't that give you purpose? Doesn't that give us purpose? To know that we're not just gonna give with no reason. We're not gonna give grudgingly. No, we're gonna give with purpose. That is the purpose of Christianity. That is the purpose of our lives is to be the light of Jesus to somebody else. How many people have an encounter? They have encountered God. They have seen his power, seen his goodness. How many people? Now, we're supposed to take that and we're supposed to give it to the next person so that way they can encounter the love of God. They can encounter what you felt, the God you serve so they can see what it truly means to be touched by the Lord, hallelujah. I wanna read this verse. I wanna read this verse because it all comes together. 2 Corinthians 9, it says, verse seven says, let each one give as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity for God loves a cheerful giver.
But look at verse eight. And God is able to make all grace abound towards you that you will always have all sufficiency in all things, maybe have the abundance of every good work. So when you give on to the purpose of God, not only does he change your heart posture on your giving, not only do you stop giving grudgingly, but you give cheerfully because you're giving on to a move of God. Then it says, God is able. God is able. Everybody say that. Say, God is able. He is able to make all grace and abundance push towards these good works, those good works that you guys just seen. So all of us tonight, we're gonna give to purpose. And that purpose is the light of Jesus Christ being shown all over the world, to know that this house is good soil, to know that we are our hearts, our purpose, is that the gospel be preached to the four corners of the earth until he returns. Our heart is to see disciples be made. Our heart, our purpose is to see Jesus Christ all over the world. Hallelujah. Can I get everybody to stand to their feet? This is the pathway of unity. This is what I'm teaching tonight. So I want us to just close our eyes. And yes, I know Jesus has done many things for all of us, but the greatest thing he ever did was his crucifixion. And it's not Jesus who was crucified, it's Jesus who is still crucified. Yes, he died. Yes, he was buried. Yes, he rose. And yes, he is alive. And yes, he is coming back. But the crucifixion, Christ crucified, is a constant revelation that has to hit our hearts. It has to hit our hearts. It has to be on our mind. This is how the body of Christ comes together in unity.
Yes, it's Christ and him crucified. Yes, Christ in majesty and glory, giving us inheritance as sons and daughters, all that. Our gifts, our calling, our destiny is amazing. But if we don't come to the cross and remember him being crucified, we'll get puffed up in our own vain imaginations, our own vain desperations and dreams and all these things. But when we come to the cross, when we remember what he did for us as crucifixion, it humbles us. It allows us to forgive. It gives us revelation to let go of bitterness. It allows us to forgive our brother and sister, no matter what has been done to us. We can't come to Jesus with the holes in his hands and feet with pride. We can't come to Jesus with the crown of thorns nailed into his head and still think about what is in this for me. So, I want us all to just close our eyes right now and just focus on Jesus. Let the Spirit of God reveal Him crucified to you. Let the Spirit of God reveal Him crucified to you right now. And because of Him being crucified, we all now are able to be part of one body, Jesus. We're all part of your body now because of what you did on the cross when you died. On that hill, on Golgotha, when you died, Jesus, blood and water spilled when they pierced you. And when a mother gives birth, it's blood and water that spilled. You died so we could be born again. The first one born from the dead, the first one from the dead, Jesus Christ.
Because of what you did, we now can be born again, all part of one body. No difference between a Greek or a Jew or a Gentile or African or Asian. There's no barrier now because we're all part of one body, one spirit. Jesus, we honor you in this place right now. May no man get the glory. May no church building or ministry or name get the glory. May Jesus Christ and Him crucified be the forefront of this revival we're seeing in America and around the world. May it not be platforms. Father, may it not be ministry names again. May it not be races. May it not be genders and ages. May it not be hype and performance. May it not be likes and views. May it be Him and Him crucified at the forefront of this revival so we will have true biblical unity. Holy Spirit, I pray as I teach this tonight, what it means to be unified as a body, that you would reveal it to everyone in this place and watching online in such a way it will mark them forever. May we never be the same, Father. After tonight, may we never be the same. May we be forever changed in your presence, Lord. We thank you for the scriptures. We thank you for the truth, Lord. And may this new pathway be revealed to many tonight of unity. In Jesus' name, and the church says together, amen. Now let's give them some praise from Revelation. We praise you, Jesus. We thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus.
Hallelujah. All right, y'all may be seated. Let's get into this message. Welcome to the rock where Jesus is the rock. We just got back from Philadelphia. It was powerful, man. The Lord moved mightily. We saw so many people touched by God's love, His power, His presence. We saw people saved, hundreds of people saved, truly saved, repenting, crying out to God for that living water. We experienced the true move of God. Is that the, that's the weed, huh? That's the weed? Who brought the weed up? Who brought the weed up to the front to surrender it? If you want to come stand up, come to the front. Where you at? Come on. What's up, bro? What's your name? Adrian. Adrian? Yeah. Where you from? I'm from New York. New York? Yeah. Where do you live? Here in Florida? Yeah, in Kissimmee.
Kissimmee. How old are you, bro? I'm 19. 19. All right. So what'd you bring up? All this? Yeah. This, this, and this? Yeah. Okay. It's all weed? Yeah. Were you drug dealing? Yeah. How long you been drug dealing? Since I was, like, 16. Well, let's not say glory for him drug dealing. I'm just kidding. I get what they're saying. They're excited. I'm just kidding. But, for real, like you were, so you've been drug dealing out here in Orlando since you were 16? Yeah. And then, that's three years. So? What made you give it up, bro? We're drugs. Okay.
Well, I recently just got out of jail. Wow. And while I was in jail, I got close to God. He was throwing himself at me. He wanted me to get closer to Him. And I started reading, I started praying, and I started fasting while I was in jail. And then once I got out, I was like, yeah, I need to stay on it. I can't fall away from it. Wow. Wow. Where were you locked up? Osceola County. Osceola County. How long did you do? 40 days. 40 days. Woke you up, huh? Yeah. Yeah. 40 days and 40 nights. Yeah. You ever thought about that? Yeah. Yeah, OK. Yeah, you already caught that. All right. Definitely. That's the Father, bro. Man.
So you got, and then when you got out, did you go back, or is that from the past? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So you got, and then when you got out, did you go back, or is that from the past? I'm not going to lie. I kind of like dibbled and dabbled a little bit, and then like, after like, a couple of days ago, I was like, no, I need to stop. I need to stop completely. And then ... And what made you feel comfortable to bring it here? Well, I just, I don't know. I know you, you know, and I seen like, I seen it before. And I just wanted to give my life to Christ, and just like, leave it. Be done for real, for real. Yeah, exactly. I know it. Yes. You know my testimony? You know my testimony? A little bit, yeah. About the weed and everything? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I used to sell weed too. Yeah, bro. So I already know, man.
It's not easy. I remember when I gave up the drug dealing, all that stuff, in my mind I was getting attacked with the money thing. Like, how am I going to make the same amount of money? That's why it's a trap. Because you make that amount of money, and working a nine to five, you're like, nah. I'm not going to work a nine to five. All I can say, bro, is that God is faithful, and whatever you give up, like this, surrendering it, He blesses you a hundred times fold in this life. And that's what I stood on. When I read that verse, bro, I was going through it, and I read that, I was like, okay, so whatever I give up in this lifetime, I'll be blessed a hundred and fold in this lifetime and the life to come. And I was, and it just gave me peace, bro. Because it wasn't just the weed, it was friendships, it was family, it was, bro, it was a lot of things. I felt like I was losing everything. And that's how you're going to feel. But you're going to be surprised what comes from the seed, because what you're doing, you're just sowing the seed, a seed of repentance. This is, this is, like, people don't do this, bro. There's a lot of people watching that are going to watch from the reel that's edited, that are watching online, that are still drug dealing. And they'll justify it, or they'll be like, nah, and they'll keep going. And bro, like, it just only gets worse. That was you. I'd always try to, like, justify it and, like, be like, nah, like, I could turn this into, like, something positive, but it just kept bringing me down, negative, negative. And then, you know, I'm like, I'm done with it, like. Done, bro.
Come on. Hallelujah. Amen. All right. That's why I pray for him. Come on. Because you don't really know how hard it is unless you're in it, all right? So some of you might have never sold drugs, but what is that? How much is that? What you got, a pound? Like a half pound? Quarter pound? There's, like, a couple. It was a pound before. It was a pound, like, broken down? Nah, this is, like, there's, like, a hundred, a hundred repens. Oh, you got a hundred cartridges in there? Yeah. Okay. Well, thank God the feds ain't going to try to arrest us. You're repenting. Yeah, yeah. Amen. We're going to get rid of all that, bro. All right. I want you to give him the microphone. We're going to pray over him. All right. I'm going to lay hands on you, bro. Everyone, put your hands out and begin to pray in the Spirit.
Father, we bless this young man, Lord. He reminds me of me. Thank God he's repenting at 19 and not 29, so he's not going to have to waste 10 years of his life. Father, we pray against every lie of the devil. We break every demonic spirit off his mind, out of his soul, in the name of Jesus. We thank you that no weapon formed against him can prosper. This is a true son of God who's truly repented. The Bible talks about that, to bear fruits of repentance. This is a true move of God. This is you, Lord, that moved on his heart. Forty days in prison or in jail, 40 days in jail, you moved on his heart and touched him and convicted him, Holy Spirit. I thank you, Lord, that tonight is the night he'll never forget for the rest of his life. And, Lord, you have a destiny in front of him. You have a calling. But most importantly, I pray that this man learns tonight it's about Christ and him crucified so that no matter what comes, whether it's a blessing, whether it's a trial, that will not fuel him. What Jesus Christ did for him always will. The gospel. We bless him, Lord. Thank you for angels, new angels that are being assigned to him tonight. Thank you. He's going to walk out of here in power and in hope and encouragement. And Father, We pray that people would greet him on the way out and just encourage our brother. In Jesus' name, and the church says together, amen. Amen.
Amen. Amen. Hallelujah. Again. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah, man. He looks like me, like a younger version of me. It's crazy. That's crazy, bro. I feel like I was looking at myself. Should I expose it? I don't know. It's hot. Where the cops at? Tell them to come in here. It feels weird. Let me see. Look at all this, yeah. Look at, thank God they're not out. Okay, look, these are all weed pens. They use oil and they put it in pens and they sell it. It's a controlled substance. This stuff is not worth it because you don't even know what's in the oil.
It could be cut with who knows what. You don't even know where it's coming from. I used to make all of these. It's demonic. It's witchcraft. It controls people. People try to justify it. You don't need weed. All you need is God's presence. When I encountered the presence of God, I got rid of everything. Not because I was looking at the sin saying, oh my God, this is so hard. I don't wanna do it. No, it's because I got filled with the presence of God. I got that living water where that Jesus said, you'll never thirst again if you drink of it. And it's a real thing. I've tasted of that living water, his presence. And now I don't need weed, alcohol, pills, drugs, whatever it is, fornication, because I have something better. That's God's spirit, his presence. It's real. It's tangible. He wants to fill you with his love. He wants to fill you with his peace. It's supernatural. This is not religious jargon.
I'm not just saying it for a video. I'm saying it because I've experienced it. And just like this young man, if you're watching this and you know you need to give up whatever it is, whether it's weed, coke, fentanyl. I was just in Kensington and saw so many people lost in these streets. Whatever it is, you don't know what it can lead to. The devil wants to kill, steal, and destroy. Stop it now. Get rid of it. This is a safe place you can bring it to if you want to, or just throw it away. Get rid of it. Give your life to Jesus. And man, this is revival, man. God is good. Hallelujah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. A whole bunch of weed. Yeah. I used to use the same bags. Yup. I know about all this, man.
That's crazy, huh? Done. Hey, where'd he go? Come back. Come throw it away. My fault. Come throw it away. Throw it away. I'll let him throw it away. And this is thousands of dollars, so it ain't chump change. Hallelujah. Amen. Amen. All right. Let's get into this message. Y'all ready? Feel like worshiping, worshiping, worshiping, but we got to get into this message. Is anyone worthy? Is anyone whole? Is anyone able to break the seal and open the... The Lion of Judah, who conquered the grave. He is David's root and the lamb who died to ransom the slaves. Every people and tribe, every nation and tongue. He has made us a kingdom and priest to God to reign with His Son.
Is He worthy? Is He worthy of all blessing and honor and glory? Is He worthy of all praise and honor and glory? Is He worthy of all blessing and honor and glory? Is He worthy of this? He is. He is. He is. Come on. He is. He is. He is. Yes, he is! Yes, he's worthy! He is worthy, worthy, worthy! He's worthy, worthy, worthy! He is worthy, worthy, worthy! He's worthy, worthy, he's worthy! He is worthy! He's worthy, worthy, he's worthy! He's worthy, worthy, he's worthy! He's worthy! He's worthy, worthy, he's worthy! Hallellujah. Amen. All right. 1 Corinthians, chapter two. Yeah, chapter two, verse two. Make sure we have it out there, production team. Perfect.
For I am determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. Before we talk about unity, that's the message tonight, watch where Paul says this. So at this point in the scriptures, Paul is writing to one of the most divided churches that he's overseeing. It's actually one of the most divided churches in the New Testament, the church of Corinth. You see in the scriptures, some people in Corinth saying, I am of Paul. Some were saying, I am of Apollos. They were divided in their heart, not focused on Christ. Cliques, favorite preachers, factions, which is literally a congregation coming apart at the seams. When people stop focusing on Jesus, division comes in and things fall. And Paul answers their division in 1 Corinthians 2, not with a unity seminar, with fixation. He says, I resolve to know one thing among you, Christ and him crucified. Love it. Paul didn't fix their disunity with an argument. He fixed it with an altar, the altar of the cross. Because the problem underneath every division, again, is the same. Where are we drifted from the cross? And the moment we come back, we come back together. How are we going to unify the body of Christ if there's no Christ crucified? Unity does not come from a stadium where people are screaming. It doesn't come from their favorite preacher coming up and them clapping because they like him or they like her because of their videos online. Can God use that to bring you into a place? Yes. But that's not where unity starts. Unity starts at the cross. Paul could have said, I resolve to know Christ, but he added three words that changed everything. And him crucified. There's a difference.
You can know Christ, the Messiah, the King, the risen, the risen one, the healer, the provider and still be full of pride. The Corinthians knew Christ. They spoke in tongues. They operated in spiritual gifts, but they were shredded with division. You cannot truly know Christ crucified and stay at war with your brother or sister because the crucified Christ strips you of the one thing that fuels every single division, yourself. What causes division? You. You caring so much about yourself that you justify that feeling and separate, isolate and divide. Christ can be admired from a distance, but Christ crucified must be embraced by up close. Now we're going to go into the Greek. So in the word crucified in the Greek, what it means is it's, it's a, it's not a past tense. It's a perfect tense. Everyone say perfect tense. So in grammar, what that means is it's a completed action with ongoing permanent present tense results. So if Paul wanted to say Christ was crucified, a thing that happened in his over, he could have said that, but he didn't use that. He reached for the perfect tense, which means the cross is a finished event that never stops working. So he is not merely the one who was crucified back then. He is the crucified one. right now. And Revelation shows him this way. Revelation 5-6, a lamb standing in the middle of the throne as though it had been slain. So standing, reigning, glorified, and still bearing the marks, the crucifixion is eternal in heaven. The perfect tense of the cross, a finished death with unfinished effects. So here's the difference, church. Around the glory of Christ, we can compete. My revelation,
my gift, my anointing, my ministry. Around the cross of Christ, we can only kneel. At the top of the mountain, we compete. At the foot of the cross, we kneel. And here is why unity is born there and nowhere else. 1st Corinthians chapter 1, verse 13. Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? So Paul's whole argument against division was the cross in the book of Corinthians. Nobody at Corinth was crucified for you but Jesus Christ. They were so worried about who was baptizing them. I am of Apollos. I am of Paul. I am of the rock. I am of this church. I am of that church. This is my pastor. This is... We claim identity from things that divide. But when we say, I am of Christ because he was crucified for me, that's where unity comes in. Because the church down the road that believes in the same thing as me, Christ and him crucified, we can unify with that revelation. But if I come to them with the backing of my ministry, the church I'm part of, the type of people that are in the church, now we divide because we look different. But when we're all looking at Christ crucified, we all begin to weep. We all begin to experience that godly sorrow that leads to repentance. We all begin to experience the fear of the Lord. We all begin to experience the same Holy Spirit that saved us when we were born again. The cross made us one. Ephesians chapter 2 verses 14 through 16. Look at this. For he himself is our peace, who has made us, who has made both one. Look at this. Who has made both one and has broken down the middle wall of separation, having abolished in his flesh the enmity that is the law of commandments, contained in ordinances, so as to create in himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, and that he might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity. So there were two peoples with a wall between them, Jews and Gentiles. The deepest division on earth, and watch what God did. He did not negotiate the two into one. He did not blend them into one. He did not compromise them into one or average them out. The text says he created. The Greek word is katiso. It's the same word for God creating the heavens. So one new man, a brand new category of humanity that did not exist before the cross. So he didn't blend the two. He crucified the both and raised one.
And the location of this miracle? Through the cross, according to the scriptures. So the wall didn't fall because we learned how to get along. The wall fell because our body was broken. Colossians 1.20 says, having made peace through the blood of the cross. John 12.32 says, and I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to myself. So the cross is a magnet before it's a monument. He was lifted up to draw us in. So do you see it? Unity has a center gravity, a center of gravity, and it is a bleeding tree. The further we drift from it, the more we scatter. come, the more we are pulled into one. And this is why it holds in the sanctuary and even in the storm. Whether we're standing in a blessing or a bleeding trial, the cross doesn't move. He himself is our peace. Not the circumstance, not the outcome, him. If my peace is dictated by what God, what I think God is doing, where when it comes to a blessing or a trial, I will be double-minded and unstable in all my ways. If when I receive a blessing from God, I think God loves me, but then when I go through a trial, I think God's mad at me, I will be double-minded and unstable in all my ways. My peace does not come from what God gives me or from a trial or getting through a trial. No, my peace comes from the cross. So that whether God gives me a blessing or whether I go through a trial, I'm able to walk on water because I'm focused on him. John 19, 34.
But one of the soldiers pierced his side with a spear and what happened? Immediately, blood and water came out. Didn't we say the cross created one new man? Now let me show you the delivery room. John stops the whole crucifixion narrative to swear under oath that he saw this with his own eyes. Why does it matter so much that blood and water came out? Let's go all the way back to the first bride and the first open side. Genesis chapter two, verse 21. And the Lord caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam and he slept and he took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh in its place. Then the rib which the Lord God had taken from man, he made into a woman. He brought her to the man. So the first Adam was put into a deep sleep. His side was open and out of the wound in his side, God built a bridge and brought her to him. And then it says that the two shall become one flesh. Now look, at Calvary, the last Adam falls into the deep sleep of death. A spear opens his side and out of the open side of the sleeping second Adam, Jesus Christ, God is building a bride, the church, the one new man, and he is bringing her to his son. Look, Paul says it outright, Ephesians 5.31. For this reason, a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife
and the two shall become one flesh. This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church. The first Adam gave up a rib to gain his bride. The last Adam gave up his life to gain his, us. And the blood and the water. Every mother in this room knows the sign. Before a child is born, the water breaks and then comes the blood and then comes life. So that spear was not only an execution, it was a delivery. The soldier meant to confirm a death, turned his spear into the midwife's hand from the wound and the husband's side, the bride was being born. And the spear that pierced him became the midwife of the new man. And this is the testimony of the whole scripture. John himself would later write, this is he who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ. Not only by water, but by water and blood. First John chapter five, verse six. Jesus told Nicodemus, unless one is born of water and the spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. John 3, five, and Zachariah saw it centuries before it happened. Zachariah 13, one, and that day a fountain shall be opened for the house of David and for the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness. The fountain was a pierced side. Water to wash us, blood to redeem us. And out of that single stream,
one bride, one body, one new man. Now catch why this is the deepest root of our unity. We are not one because we chose the same building. We are not one because we like the same worship music. We are one because we were born from the same wound. We all came out of the same side. We share the same birth. We cannot divide brothers and sisters who came out of the same womb, and the womb was the wound in His side. Everyone say, the ladder was the cross. So that open side is now the way home. It's a pathway. Let's go back to Jacob in Genesis. Genesis 28, 12. And he dreamed and behold, a ladder was set up on the earth and its top reached to heaven and there the angels of God were ascending and descending on it. Jacob, a deceiver on the run, lays his head on a stone and sees a ladder. Set up on the earth, its top reaching to heaven, a stairway between two worlds that had been severed since Eden. Now here Jesus quote this dream and put himself in the center of it. John chapter 1 verse 51. And he said to him, most assuredly I say to you, hereafter you shall see heaven open
and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man. So what did Jesus say? I am the ladder. I am the reconnection between heaven and earth. Jacob saw a ladder. Jacob was seeing Jesus. And when was that ladder, look at this, and when was that ladder set up on earth, its top reaching to heaven? Look, church, this is the description of a cross planted in the ground, its top reaching to the sky. The ladder in Jacob's dream was the shape of Calvary. It was Calvary. He was seeing Calvary. The ladder was a cross the whole time. Now look at this, Hebrews 10, 19. Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way, which he consecrated for us through the veil, that is his flesh. So the veil in the temple, the barrier to the presence of God from the high priest was torn the moment he died. And Hebrews tells us what that veil really was, his flesh. His torn body is the doorway. The way up to God runs directly
through a broken and stripped back. This is the, I'm trying to get this revelation that we're all tapping into right now by the Holy Spirit. This is what brings unity. This is what brings unity in worship. This is what brings unity when we're reading the scriptures together. In discipleship, this is what brings unity as we serve. This is true unity. I've been meditating on this for the past two weeks. On what is true unity, God? The veil tore from top to bottom. The way to God always runs through torn flesh, opened by heaven, not by us. So think of it. Isaiah 53, 5 says, by his stripes, we were healed. So every stripe laid across his back, all 39, became a literal ladder. He was scourged, so the road to heaven could be opened through his own body. And that road leads us up to where our high priest stands. And then Hebrews 10, 21 says, a high priest over the house of God. So every stripe on his back, again, became part of that ladder. Look at this. We're gonna talk about Jacob's ladder. Stay with me.
And there was another towel. Look at this. We're gonna talk about the contrast. Babel. Genesis 11, 4 says, and they said, come, let us build ourselves a city and a tower whose top is in the heavens. Let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth. So Babel was humanity's ladder, man climbing up to heaven by his own effort, his own name, his own glory. And what was the result? The Lord scattered them. So what happens when our ladder is the rock? What happens when our ladder is a platform? What happens when our ladder is our own abilities to do ministry or works or how good our worship team is or how good we serve in the church? What happens when our ladder becomes our own effort, strength, might? What happens? We will divide and scatter. Babel was humanity's ladder. Again, man climbing up to heaven by his own effort, his own name, his own glory. And what's the result? Scattered. confused, divided, a world that can no longer understand itself. Literally different languages. Why do you think we have so many so many denominations?
Man focused on self and not the cross. The Bible speaks against this. God does not want denominations. There's nowhere in the scriptures that say we're supposed to have the denominations. Why do we even have a type of church called a non-denominational church? That's even a denomination. That's man's effort. It's caused division. It's caused all types of stuff. It's because we get to a point of maturity or revelation and we stop right there and we can't receive correction or edification or we can't receive from somebody else and then now we create our own denomination. Denominations were created because man cared so much about himself and not Jesus Christ and him crucified. God never wanted it. I said it last time. Black church, white church, brown church, Asian church, Spanish church. Why do we have all these different churches? Why is the ethnic background of a person in the front of church? Even though God says every tribe and every tongue. Have you ever thought about that? Isn't that weird? I came to Christ like man this is good. This goes against the Bible. Is this normal to go against the Bible as a Christian? Am I supposed to just accept that because everyone else does? Why is this person a Baptist and this person Pentecostal and this person Lutheran and this person Methodist and Presbyterian and Catholic and Orthodox? Why is everybody repping their set like a gang? I'm so serious. There's some people that rep their denomination more than they represent the cross. You talk to them about the gospel. Oh I'm Orthodox or I'm Catholic or I'm Baptist or I'm or I'm or I'm Calvinist whatever it is and they'll rep that thing like it's a gang bro and you never hear the gospel. It's a gospel of their denomination and they're trying to convince you to believe their denomination over everybody else. Ever experienced that? And if you don't become that denomination they'll treat you like you're not even saved. You must go through this pathway of denomination or whatever we believe or you can't even be saved. Some of them will kick you out and shun you. It's crazy. So what the tower of Babel scattered the tree of Calvary gathered. Man's unity reaching up always ends in division because it's built on pride. God's unity reaching down through a torn body ends in oneness because it is built on blood and the proof came at Pentecost. What was scattered by confused tongues at Babel was regathered by the Holy Ghost and when they were all in with one accord in one place,
one rushing passion, one breath, Pentecost only came because Calvary came first. There's no upper room unity without the outside the city cross. Again there's no upper room unity without the outside the city cross. So you will not out argue division. You will only out die it. We have to die. Everyone say we have to die to self. So how does this become ours? Not just doctrine but a daily flow. How do we have this type of crucified Christ crucified unity? Paul tells us it is a matter of the mind. Philippians 2 5. Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus who being in the form of God did not consider it robbery to be equal with God but made himself of no reputation taking the form of a bond servant and coming in the likeness of men and being found in appearance as a man he humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death even the death of the cross. So notice the direction of the mind of Christ. It goes down no reputation, servant, obedient, death, cross. The mind that unifies is not the mind that climbs. It is the mind that descends. And right before this Paul had pleaded in Philippians 2 to fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. So how? Let this, the downward mind, be in you. So that mind that stays unified is the mind that keeps going low. John 7 38 says, he who believes in me as the scripture has said, out of his heart will flow what? Rivers of living water. So hear this promise that Jesus gave us. Rivers, living water, look at this, and water only ever flows one direction, down to the lowest place. So the river of the Spirit cannot pour out of a heart that is busy climbing up. It flows out of a heart that has been to the cross and stayed low. And remember where that river was first opened. Water flowed from his pierced side in John 19 34. The river that keeps us one tonight first ran out of his wound. So we do not manufacture the river, we are born into it. And now it flows through us. Psalm 133 verse 1 says, behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity. It is like the precious oil upon the head of Aaron, running down on the beard, the beard of Aaron running down on the edge of his garments. It's like the dew of Hermon descending upon the mountains of Zion, for there the Lord commanded the blessing, life forevermore. So the oil does not rise up from the congregation, it runs down from the head over the whole body. So unity is not something we generate from the bottom up,
it is anointing that flows from Christ, our head down over every part of his body. So praise, true praise flows down from him. Worship flows down from him. Revelation in the word as we read flows down from him. When the whole house is under the head, Christ Jesus, we don't have to manufacture agreement. The same oil is running over all of us at once. So unity is not everyone agreeing on what church we like, or what pastor we listen to, or what denomination we are, or where we come from, or what testimonies match up. It is everyone standing under the same anointing, flowing from the same wounded head, Jesus Christ. Ephesians 4, 3 says, endeavoring to keep the unity of the spirit and the bond of peace, there is one body and one spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling, one Lord, one faith, one baptism. Notice, Paul does not say create unity, he says keep it. So the cross already made us one, our job is to keep coming back to the place that made us one, so the river never stops flowing. This unity is the evidence that we have left the cross, oneness, unity is the evidence that we have returned. And this is how we can go through anything, because our unity is not anchored to the weather of our lives. Like I said earlier, in blessing, we stay one by boasting only in the cross. In trial, we stay one because he himself is our peace, not what we get from the world. The cross does not move, the circumstance rises and falls all the time. It rains on the just, it rains on the unjust, circumstances shift, but the blood stays the same. We do not hold the church together by agreement, he holds us together by a wound that will not close. So for some of you, you need to come back to level ground tonight. Every wall we have built, he tore down at the cross. Every camp we have drawn, every clique, he erased at the cross. Every ounce of name, my glory, my reputation, it dies at the cross. And out of that death, out of his open side, God raises one new man. First Corinthians 10, 17 says, for we, though many, are one bread and one body, for we all partake of that one bread. One loaf because one body was broken, one family because we were all born from the same side. We become one bread the day his body was broken, we become one. family the day his side was open. I'm gonna end with this, John 17 21, that they all may be one as you father are in me, and I in you, that they also may be one in us,
that the world may believe that you sent me, and the glory what you gave me I have given them, that they may be one just as we are one. He's praying that right now, and the cross is the answer to his own prayer. So we have to stop striving, and we have to start kneeling. We have to come to the ladder, come to the torn flesh, come to the stripes that are that are that are the the steps on the ladder, come to the open side that gave us birth, come to the level ground where the blood makes us all the same height. He was lifted up to draw us in. This is the gospel that Jesus Christ took on punishment for us so that we could be one. Not just saved to go to heaven, because even heaven is not the ending destination. It's not the endpoint, because the new Jerusalem will come down. There will be a new earth and new heavens. People get so focused on just going to heaven, they forget that that's not the endpoint. God wants us to be one now here on earth in a world where satan creates so much in this physical realm to distract us, to discourage us, to tempt us. A physical world where we can see everything in front of us. Jesus wants us to focus on things we can't see, because when we focus on what we can't see and trust in his promises, he's able to manifest his glory and power in this physical realm and blow people's minds. As he begins to create history with us individually and as a church, our trust and faith for him continues to increase, and that's when revival increases. Revival doesn't happen because a church has a platform or because somebody can evangelize. Revival happens when we all come to the cross and focus on his wounds. When we study Calvary and what he went through, when we meditate on that no
matter what's going on in our life. You see, it's a cultivation. It's something we have to continue to go back to. It's a pathway. It's a vein. And being in God's presence will show you when you're going on another pathway, and he'll bring you right back and redirect you to the narrow. We think it's so hard. We think the hardest thing is going through trials when things are rough, but what if I told you it's even harder when things start getting good? Read the scriptures. You see great men falling, not when it was hard, but when it was actually good. Some of you right now are going through trials, and you're suffering, and you feel like, man, I can't do this, or maybe it's the end. I'm here to tell you right now God is producing something in you that he wants you to remember. So when things start looking better in this physical realm, and the people you're praying for start getting saved, and the healing that you've been contending for begins to manifest, and the marriage that you've been praying for for so long begins to unify, and the wife is on fire, and the husband's on fire, don't forget what God produced in you through that time period. Don't forget. And what he should have produced in you is a revelation of Christ and him crucified. Because as we're going through these things in life, it gets to a point where nothing in this life can give us peace except for Christ and him crucified. The great Pharisee Saul, who knew the Torah, high-ranking Pharisee, who later became Paul, narrowed everything down that he learned, all the schooling, all the things he learned when he was a high-ranking Pharisee, a high-ranking
Jew, he narrowed it down to Christ and Christ crucified. You see throughout the scriptures, the apostle Paul even lowering himself in the letters. You see him calling himself Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ. Later, he calls himself the least of the apostles. It's because the revelation of Christ and Christ crucified was changing his heart where he realized I'm nothing, it's all about him. So when we go through trials, it exposes us. It exposes selfish desires. It exposes how much we love this world and how much we want to be successful or for things to be perfect. It exposes us wanting to be in heaven here on earth when we're supposed to be bringing heaven to earth. The ruler of this world is Satan and that's why this world has to be destroyed. Where we're going next is so much better and I don't say that casually. I say that really, really meaning that where we're going is so much better. Heaven and the new Jerusalem and the plans that God has for us, the continuation of what he originally wanted in the garden is gonna be so amazing that what we do here on this earth will not matter if it's not about Jesus Christ. You will waste time focused on things that have no value in eternity. You will waste time focusing on successes
that somebody else has accomplished and somebody else before them, because Ecclesiastes says nothing new is under the sun. But if we focus on the crucified one, if we focus on what he really went through for us and we meditate on it and we read about it and we speak about it and we worship about it and we praise about it, that oil that comes from the head will fall upon us and change us. Amen. I love it. I don't wanna stay the same. I don't wanna be the same a week from now, a month from now. I don't wanna be the same next year. I wanna continue to transform because I focus on him and him crucified. I wanna become like Jesus. And the only way is to focus on him and what he did. This is the gospel. This is the good news. It's not a one-time salvation altar call type of thing. It's a every day, all the time, and everything I do type of thing. This good news is not just for heaven. It's for our whole life in Christ, that Jesus, fully God, in a body, the fullness of God bodily. He wasn't less because he entered a body.
He was still fullness of God in bodily form. He was birthed of a virgin. He was born of a virgin. He borrowed the womb of Mary and came to this planet and lived a life just like us, had to learn just like us, had to eat and drink just like us, had to walk just like us, speak just like us, live just like us, speak just like us, perfect, sinless, born of the Holy Ghost, virgin birth, not through sexual intimacy, but through a supernatural miracle, lived a life that we couldn't live, that gave himself in to be beaten and scourged, to have a crown of thorns nailed into his skull. The crown of thorns were not just placed upon his head gently. They were beaten into his head so they stayed. He was whipped, lashed. He was tortured. He was wounded so that the transfer of our sin that produces sickness could be tooken upon him. So by his stripes, you're not healed just because you read a scripture out loud. You're healed when you have a revelation
that Jesus Christ, God in a body who didn't deserve to go through punishment, went through an excruciating torture so that I could be forgiven of all sins. He was whipped. Wounded for my transgressions, bruised for my iniquities, the chastisement of my peace was upon him while he was tied to that pole, while he was being beaten by those Roman soldiers. Every single whip was because of my sin. Every single lash was because of my transgressions, my iniquities. The time where I knew I shouldn't have done something and I did it. For all the backsliders who knew they shouldn't have went back to the world and still kept doing it and practicing sin, Jesus was wounded, bruised, and beaten for even them. Three categories of sin to show us that it's not surface level, it's deep. And he went through that for us. And carried a cross, beaten so bad that people couldn't even recognize who he was. He was laughed at. These demonic spirits and people, these Jews and Romans laughed at him. These people were so gone, not even realizing what they were doing. The same ones who screamed, Hosanna, Hosanna,
when they thought they would be freed from Roman captivity were now saying, crucify him. Finish the job, get it done. I can only imagine all the things they said that's not even in the scriptures. And he went upon that cross and he cried out, Father, Father, why have you forsaken me? Because he felt the fullness of separation that sin brings. Was he separated from the Godhead? No, but he experienced the fullness of separation from God, which is exactly what people in hell right now are experiencing. When people say I'm going through hell, they're not really going through hell. He went through hell. And he died and then he rose from the dead. He took those keys for us. He rose in authority and in power and came out of that tomb and breathed on his disciples to receive the Holy Ghost and walk with them for 40 days, letting them know about the things that were to come and restored Peter, who just denied him three times. At this point, there was only 11 disciples because Judas already hung himself. He told them in Matthew 28 to meet him on top of that mountain. And the same way that Moses received the law on that mountain, now Jesus gave the great commission and told them, and the scriptures say that some
out of the 11 still were kind of doubting. That means that God don't need you to have all this faith. You could have a mustard seed and he'd still send you. Told him to go make disciples. And he ascended to heaven in his glorified body. He's going to return the exact same way in his glorified body. And he's coming back as the Lion of Judah, fire in his eyes with an army of angels and saints. And he's not coming back to rescue anybody. He's coming back for judgment, for vengeance. It's not going to be a pretty sight. It's not going to be what people think. The gospel is simple, it's good news. If you believe that Jesus Christ is Lord, the highest power, God, no one above him, you believe he really rose from the dead. In order to believe he rose from the dead, you have to believe he died on that cross. If you believe that for real in your heart, that you need a savior because you've sinned. Because one sin produces death. And you've sinned so many times. And you need the saving blood of Jesus Christ. If you know and you're desperate for salvation, the saving of all the sins of the world, I need the blood to wipe my sins clean because I've been a sinner. If you know I've been a sinner
and I need cleansing by the blood. The only way you can need a savior is if you know you need saving. One sin separates you from God and you have eternal separation. And if you die in that state, you will spend eternity in hell. And God does not want anyone going to hell. He didn't even create hell for us. He created it for the fallen angels. You know how I know that God doesn't want us going to hell? Because he came and died on that cross. That's how I know. He gave us the door, the way, the truth. He's the life. And no one comes to the father but through him. This is good news that you can be saved and washed clean and filled with the Holy Spirit and baptized in his power, ready to go out and enforce the kingdom in darkness and bring heaven to earth. Your kingdom come, you will be done here on earth as it is in heaven. We're enforcers who carry authority. We legislate and decree and declare. We go to regions and we bring the kingdom. That's what God wants for his people. We're not pitiful Christians, we're powerful Christians. Amen. So I just want to say this quick prayer.
Father, I thank you Lord for a revelation of what you did for us over this atmosphere. Holy Spirit, I thank you for preaching through me. You love your people so much. I can feel it. The desperation for people to know you because you're coming back soon. You told me that this morning, Lord. You're coming back sooner than we think. And we think that we know, we think, oh, it's been said for so many centuries and years. I keep hearing the same thing, but we don't know. And you told me, you said, son, I'm coming back soon. And not only that, people don't even know they're even gonna die soon. So Jesus, I pray that you touch the hearts of everyone in here right now. For the ones that need to give their life to Christ for real, you touch their hearts. That they would come to this altar and surrender at the cross, knowing that they need a savior, knowing that they need your blood to wipe them clean and they need your spirit, your water, Lord, to give them power, that grace, in Jesus' name. And we all say together, amen. If you need to give your life to Jesus, I want you to come to this altar right now. Come on up, come on. Hallelujah.
Amen. And if you need to give your life to Jesus online, you can put a one in the chat. Hallelujah, amen. Real salvation. There's no salvation without the true gospel of Jesus Christ being understood. Someone can't be saved just because you give them a scripture. You need to explain the good news of Jesus Christ and what he did in order for someone to be saved. There's, for all the evangelists out here, just because you say Romans 10, nine, and you quote it and tell someone to say it out loud, it doesn't mean they have revelation of what you're saying. They will not be saved if they don't know what they're getting saved from. They need to know about the crucified one and the blood he shed. This gospel message is not a quick fix or just a fast food line. Just count a number and say, yeah, I saved 150 souls today. No. No. You've saved 150 souls, 150 should be filled with the Holy Ghost, should have repented and came to true salvation through the blood of Jesus, through what he did on the cross. And I was talking to my brother about that this week.
I was saying, man, think about how many Christians in the church don't know the gospel. When you ask a Christian who's been in the church for years to give me the gospel of Jesus Christ and they won't be able to explain it. They stutter or they start thinking too much or just say, I got baptized. No, the gospel is the good news that Jesus Christ of Nazareth, God in a body came and gave himself for you. He shed blood so you can be forgiven. He died on the cross to take that punishment, everything he went through and he was buried and rose. If you believe he's Lord, the highest power, you believe he rose from the dead. You truly repent in your heart, that means turn away from following everything else. At this altar, for all you standing here, this is not real. If you don't repent, if you don't really in your heart say, down deep, deep inside, say, I'm done. I don't want the world. I don't want the sin. I want Jesus. If when you, when you are desperate at a place of desperation, where you're like, God, I'm all in, that's when the spirit of God will respect the decision of your heart and fill you. But you can come to this altar and you can act like you're doing it and even get baptized and not get filled with the Holy Spirit and go right back to the world like nothing happened. We're not looking for numbers here at this church. You want people who truly want Jesus. So I say this again, as an alarm, anyone in this place that wants to give your life to Jesus, come to this altar now. I feel it in my spirit. Some of you have been calling yourself a Christian, but right now you feel convicted. Come to this altar. Hallelujah. This is so amazing, man. This is beautiful. I want you all at the front, just close your eyes. I know it was a tough message, but this is the gospel message. I want you to know first and foremost that Jesus would have never came and did what he did if he didn't love you. He's recklessly in love with you. Recklessly in love with you.
I don't know any human being that would ever go through what he went through for me. I don't. We say we would. We say we would do it, but I'm sorry. I don't know. I don't even know if I would go through what he went through for somebody else. I don't know. That's why he's here. He's coming. He's coming. He's coming. He's coming. He's coming. He's coming. I don't know. I don't even know if I would go through what he went through for somebody else. I don't know. That's why he is love. He is love. God is love, and he gave himself in for us. He's so in love with us that he came down and went through everything he went through for us. He didn't have to. That is the proof of his love for you, not a feel-good feeling, because if you think God loving you is a feel-good feeling or a blessing coming from him, you'll be transactional and just be just be polluted with religion. The greatest demonstration of God's love is what he did on the cross for us. We love you, Jesus. We're going to do that in a second. I just want to worship him tonight because he's so good. All you at the altar, I want you to say this. Say, Jesus, you are God, my Lord, the highest power. You died on the cross for me. You're in love with me. You went through excruciating pain because you love me. You took a crown of thorns, beat it into your head because you love me. You were pierced in your side with holes in your wrists and feet because you love me. Jesus, you rose from the dead on the third day to give me power. Jesus, you are God, my Lord, the highest power. You're in love with me. You're desperately in love with me. I'm not condemned. I'm forgiven fully by the blood of Jesus. Jesus, Holy Spirit, fill my heart. Make me new. Set me free. Heal me. I'm all in. Say, I'm all in. Okay, if you just gave your life to Jesus, I want you to put your hands up in victory and I want you to begin. Actually, everyone in this church to stand up real quick. We're going to begin to cry out to God and travail. Let's begin to cry out to God. I want you to stand up and I want you to start just just crying out to God and thanking Him, just thanking Him for what He did on the cross for you. Everyone at this altar, same thing. If you just gave your life to Christ, prayer warriors, start laying hands on them. Start praying for them. Start praying for them, prayer warriors. Start praying for them. Even the people who are catching. Lay hands on them and pray for them, too. Pray for them.
Hey. Body of Christ, this is not crying out. Let's cry out to Jesus. Let's thank Jesus for what he did on the cross for us. I can't be silent about what he did on the cross for me. Oh. Oh. Hey. Come on. Body of Christ, cry out to God. Oh, we praise you, Jesus. Begin to pray in the spirit if you have a prayer language. Begin to sing in the spirit if you have a prayer language. Begin to praise him from deep within. Begin to worship him from a deep place within your heart. Hey. La da da da da da da da da da da da. Oh, la da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da. Oh. Oh. Open up your mouth and praise. Open up your mouth and pray. Oh, all hail King Jesus. Oh, hail the. Oh, all hail the. Oh, all hail the king. Jesus. Oh, hail the savior of the world. Oh, hail Jesus. Oh, hail the Lord of heaven and earth.
Oh, hail King Jesus. Oh, hail the savior of the world. Oh, hail King Jesus. Oh, hail the Lord of heaven and earth. Oh, hail King Jesus. Oh, all hail the savior of the world. Oh, all hail the savior of the world. Oh, all hail the savior of the world. Oh, all hail the savior of the world. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. At every knee, the vow before the king of kings. At every tongue, confess that he is the Lord. Lift up your shout. Let us join with all of heaven singing. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. At every knee, the vow before the king of kings. At every tongue, confess that he is the Lord. Lift up your shout. Let us join with all of heaven singing. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. Singing. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. Oh oh oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. Insane love, insane love, insane love

He's getting ready to set you on fire He's getting ready to set you on fire Hallelujah. Amen. Alright. We're going to do water baptisms now too, so let me just explain baptism real quick. Man, we saw so many people get baptized in Philadelphia, bro, and they were so hungry. But they had a revelation of baptism, and I want to make sure everybody here has that revelation too. Baptism is not a one-time thing where it's like, I got baptized, God, that's all you want, now let me go back to my regularly scheduled life. I say it in that way because there's so many people that believe that all God wants from them, like the end goal, is baptism. To the point where some people even fear getting baptized. Baptism is the first step to discipleship, and there's a supernatural reality that's birthed when a person does it with revelation and faith. When you go under that water yourself, your old self dies and you rise up a new creation. When you get into that water and you sit there and you're about to get dunked, you need to realize, I am going to go back and come up new. Like I'm dying under that water. A death certificate is being written for the old me. And I'm being married and joined to Christ as I rise, clothed in God's righteousness, fully forgiven. It is something so special and sacred that people don't see rightly. That's why we see people getting baptized a million times. Every day we die to ourselves. Every day we pick up our cross. It's constant death. Death to our desires, death to our dreams, death to us and more of Jesus. And boy, does that thing hurt. Boy, do you suffer when you go through that. But Jesus Christ suffered more. And the suffering that we go through produces something so much better. Us looking more like him. So baptism, just like Noah was told to build an ark because there was so much wickedness on the earth. And God baptized the earth in water. You are ending the old you and rising new. This is why people who get baptized as a baby, can't say they've truly been baptized.
They were dedicated at most. But baptism is when you know the gospel, you repent and understand what baptism is. You are dying under that water, rising new. It is a marriage ceremony and a death happening at the same time. And you rise up knowing I am clothed in God's righteousness. My conscious is clean, I'm good, I'm ready, and now you've declared war against the same team that you were fighting for your whole life, the demonic kingdom. It's a commissioning. Man, it's so beautiful. In the early church, they would make people spit on the ground before they got baptism as a sign of spitting on the demonic kingdom and going to the kingdom of the Lord, the army of the Lord. You need to see it as such. You're not just getting baptized to please God and go back to the world. God is not pleased with someone who gets baptized without truly dying. So according to what I just said, who needs to be water baptized? Raise your hand. Amen. I want you guys to go to the exit sign right now and go under that water. Hallelujah. Praise God. Let's give it up for Jesus, man,
and for all the people who surrendered. Hallelujah. Man, praise God, man. Hallelujah. It's real. Only Jesus, man. The Holy Spirit will reveal to us Jesus. Look, she can't even make it to the baptism tub because she's encountering the presence of God right there. Holy Spirit, have your way. That's how much God loves her. Spirit was moving over the water. Come rest on us. Come rest on us. Come in this, man. Spirit was moving over the water. Spirit, come over us. Come rest on us. Come rest on us. As the Spirit was moving over the water. Spirit, come over us. Come rest on us. Come rest on us. As the Spirit was moving over the water. Spirit, come over us. Come rest on us. Come rest on us. Come rest on us. Sing holy, holy Spirit.
Come rest on us. You're all we want. You're all we want. Holy Spirit, come rest on us. You're all we want. You're all we want. Holy Spirit, holy Spirit, come rest on us. You're all we want. You're all we want. Holy Spirit, come rest on us. You're all we want. So come down, come down. Spirit, when you move, you make my heart pound. When you fill the room, you're here and I know you're moving. I'm here and I know you'll fill me. Come down, Spirit, when you move, you make my heart pound. When you fill the room, you're here and I know you're moving. I'm here and I know you're moving. Fire, fire, when we are calling, do we care? Open up the gates, let heaven on it, come rest on us. Fire and wind, fire and wind, come and do it again. Open up the gates, let heaven on it, come rest on us. Fire and wind, fire and wind, come and do it again. Come up here. We don't just want to pray for you. We want to teach you how to pray. Because if the only way you get freedom from fear is if someone prays for you, you're going to always need someone to pray for you. Perfect love casts out all fear. That perfect love is not a feeling, it's Jesus. That perfect love is a person, and the Bible says, listen to me, he inhabits the praise of his people. Inhabitation is when someone comes and dwells. So if perfect love, Jesus, him, the person, casts out all fear, how do you get him to inhabit your vessel, your temple, your atmosphere? By praising him. It's by praising him, even when you feel like you're fearful. It's by recognizing that this spirit of fear, he did not give to me. So if I know that God has not given me, listen, listen, because some of you are tweaking out and not looking at what I'm saying, listen, if God did not give me a spirit of fear when I feel fear, it's not God. So just a brief moment of silence, please. ♪♪ ♪♪ ♪♪ ♪♪ Amen. So, family, yesterday our nation celebrated Independence Day. It was a day that commemorated freedom from earthly oppression. But as I was meditating on our nation celebrating Independence Day yesterday, I realized that we, the body of Christ, the people of Christ, the sons and daughters of Christ, we celebrate a greater freedom. You see, this freedom is not won by political cooperation. This is not a political freedom. This is not a freedom that is given by man. This is a freedom that was purchased by the blood of Jesus Christ. And this is an eternal freedom because now, because of the sacrifice, what Jesus Christ did on the cross, we are now independent from the rule of sin because now we are made to be dependent on Jesus Christ. You see, yesterday, as people were celebrating freedom, and I'm not taking away from the freedom that America received, but this is what the Holy Spirit showed me. That freedom was gained and was received by making a peace treaty. You see, God did not make a peace treaty with sin. He did not make a peace treaty with death. No, he defeated it.
He defeated it from the inside out. And this is a freedom that the world cannot understand because no longer are we slaves to sin because there was a moment in time to where everybody in this building and watching online, you had an obligation to serve the desires of sin. Sin was not only a ruler, but a master over your life. Was a master over my life. And then Jesus came and he stepped on the scene. And when Jesus stepped on the scene, he lived the life that none of us could live. He died a death that we all deserved. And he stepped on the scene and went through what none of us could ever go through. And not only that, he broke his body so that we could truly be free. I want you guys to just close your eyes and meditate on this. You see, let me tell you, let me paint you guys a picture. I want you to close your eyes so that you can really see the picture that I want to paint in your mind. You see, this is what sin does to us. Sin makes us unrecognizable. You see, sin made us so ugly, so disfigured that we were unrecognizable. That though we look normal in the physical, our spiritual image was tainted. It was unpleasant to the eyes. It was unpleasant to the eyes. And then Jesus, who was holy, he was beautiful, who was gorgeous. He comes down and he gets beaten, his back bruised, his body broken. And the Bible says, and this is the revelation on why he had to become unrecognizable, because sin made us unrecognizable. And so now Jesus was taking our place. You see, Jesus couldn't die or sin could not enter his body until he became unrecognizable. This is why he was beaten so brutally. The Bible says you couldn't even tell if he was male or female. People couldn't even recognize that that was Christ the Messiah. Because on the retrospect, that's what sin did to us in the spirit. And so Christ traded places with us. He became unrecognizable.
So now we, once again, can become recognizable in the eyes of the Father. So he had his body broken in half to make us whole, broken in pieces so that we can be whole again. I want everybody right now to take out the bread. And I want you to hold the bread up in the air, hold it high. This is like a statue, a remembrance of Christ's body, a physical representation to remember his body. And as you look at it, look at it, I want you to break it in half. That is what it sound like when Christ broke his body for us. So as we take this bread, we remember his body was broken so your old life could be broken. We are redeemed because of the breaking of his body. Lord Jesus, we love you so much. And as we stand before you, holding this bread in the air that symbolizes your body being broken, we truly understand that we are now freed from sin, that we are now sons and daughters of righteousness, that we no longer have an obligation to serve sin because of your sacrifice. We bless your holy name and we pause in this moment to reflect. And we just say thank you, thank you Jesus. Together you may all take and eat of the body of Christ. And I want everybody to open up the cup. And I want you two to hold it in the air because as we drink this cup, we remember his blood established a new covenant where guilt is removed, condemnation is gone, and change are shattered. I want everybody to repeat after me and declare this with me. I want everybody to say, I am no longer a slave to fear. I am no longer a slave to shame. I am no longer a slave to addiction. I am no longer a slave to condemnation. And most importantly, I am no longer a slave to sin. I have been redeemed.
I have been justified. And I have been made free because of your blood. So I want you to look to your neighbor to your left and your right and I want you to toast with them. Go ahead. Toast. This is victory in Christ. Victory in Christ. Come on. And I want everybody to say, thank you, Jesus, for your blood. Hallelujah. You may now all take and drink of the blood of Christ. Come on. Come on. Do we got some true worshipers in the house? Thank you, Jesus. Come on. Lift up your voice because you've been freed from sin. You've been set free from sin. You no longer serve sin. You no longer serve sin. You no longer serve sin. You no longer serve sin. You no longer serve sin. You no longer serve sin. You no longer serve sin. But you are now children of righteousness. We give all glory to Jesus Christ. And so what I want us all to do is to actually take this and meditate on this. Truly live this out.
Allow this to be a part of your renewed mind. Really in your soul that you understand that you are a new creation in Christ. Before you ever made a decision, good or bad, Christ died for you. That means you didn't earn anything that Christ has given you. You did not earn the presence of God. He freely gave it to you. It was nothing that you did that allowed the veil to be torn. It was because he loved you. And that revelation right there allows you to truly be and walk as a son and daughter of Christ knowing that you have been redeemed and you have been established as an heir to the throne of God. You receive all inheritance and it's not because of anything you did. it. You want to know what that does? It allows you to walk in true authority. You walk in true authority. Amen. So we thank you, Jesus. Oh my goodness, you're coming back soon. And I just thank you that you're rising up true soldiers, true women and men of God. I thank you, Lord, that we catch the revelation that you are the great I am. Lord, that you exist outside of existence. You are existence. And because we understand this, we detach all of our experience to you because you are not dependent on anything. So I thank you, Lord, that because we understand we are sons and daughters of Christ, we would now interpret every experience, every everything that we go through, every circumstance through the lens of Jesus Christ. No longer will we live by the systems of the world. I thank you for what you did tonight, the souls that were set free, what you did back in Philadelphia, what you did in Philly, what you did on the streets of Kensington.
