Stop Begging God for What He Already Gave You (Your Authority)

Pastor Richard Lorenzo Jr.

This message challenges believers to understand and exercise the spiritual authority they have been given through Jesus Christ. Rather than continually asking God to do what He has already authorized them to do, believers must learn to stand in the truth of His Word, recognize their identity in Christ, and walk in the authority entrusted to them.

Through the finished work of Jesus Christ, believers have been given authority to resist the enemy, stand against spiritual opposition, pray with faith, and advance the Kingdom of God. Luke 10:19 speaks of the authority Jesus gave His disciples, while James 4:7 instructs believers to submit to God and resist the devil. This authority is not rooted in personal strength, human ability, or independent power, but in submission to God and alignment with His Word.

The message calls believers to move beyond a passive mindset and recognize the responsibility that comes with spiritual authority. Instead of approaching every battle as though victory has not been made available through Christ, believers must learn to pray from a position of faith, speak in agreement with Scripture, and obey what God has commanded. Spiritual authority is not about controlling God or demanding our own will; it is about representing Him faithfully under His authority.

Ultimately, the message is a call to maturity, confidence, and obedience. Stop begging for what Christ has already provided, and learn to walk in the authority, identity, and victory available through Him. The goal is not merely to know that authority exists, but to understand it biblically and exercise it according to the will and Word of God.
