“Nobody Is INDEPENDENT. Whose Signal Are You On?”
This message challenges the idea that we can live completely independent of God. Every person is being influenced, guided, and connected to something or someone. The real question is not whether we are connected, but whose signal we are receiving and following.
The sermon calls us to examine what is directing our thoughts, decisions, desires, relationships, and behavior. Are we tuned into the voice of God, or are we being influenced by the world, our flesh, fear, culture, people, or our own understanding? Just as a device must be connected to the right signal to function properly, we must remain connected to God to walk in His truth and purpose.
The message emphasizes that true freedom is not independence from God, but dependence upon Him. We are called to surrender our own will, renew our minds through the Word, discern God's voice, and remain connected to Him so that our lives are led by His Spirit rather than by competing signals.
Ultimately, the sermon is a call to examine our connection: Who has our attention? Whose voice has authority? Whose signal are we on?

The truth heals, the truth sets people free, the truth brings peace, we are gonna stand on the truth, we are gonna stand on what the Word of God says in our situations. (upbeat music) Psalms 145, 8 through 9, that was our verse of the week. The Lord is gracious and full of compassion. Slow to anger, great mercy. The Lord is good to all, and his tender mercies are all over his works. That is the truth. If you find yourself quick to anger, stand on the truth because the Lord is slow to anger. Our character has to align with the Lord in every situation. We will stand on the truth, yet of it. No more lives, no more lives, we shall stand on the truth. Amen, amen, I want y'all to stay right here. This is so good. Stay right here, stay right here. We're about to transition into the giving. Who's excited to give onto the house of God? I like that. That is the culture here at The Rock that we are excited to give in the house of God. I love it. I wanna break something off of you guys today. And this is revelation that will change the way that you give forever. And it's, you know what a lot of Christians do? A lot of Christians, they try to pay for God's blessings. They try to make a down payment or deposit on a blessing. And that's what they do when they're giving, they're transactional. God is breaking transaction in this last hour. He is breaking transaction in this last hour. He doesn't want transactional Christianity. He doesn't want performance. He doesn't want that. He wants genuineness, genuine love, genuine repentance, genuine walk in Christ that your life is a reflection of him because you have genuinely encountered him and he's doing that even in giving. And I'm gonna help you guys out because in Second Corinthians, the Lord showed me like a fresh revelation of it. And he was, Paul was speaking to a group of believers in the assumption that they have
received the greatest blessing they could already receive. He was speaking to them as if they already received the most important, the most important thing that they could ever receive and their giving would not be gave based off of what he can extract from them, but that their giving would come from what they've already received. I want to give you guys a scripture, and we're going to break it down right here. Look at this. 2 Corinthians 8, verse 8 says, "I am not speaking this as a command, but as proving though to your earnestness of others the sincerity of your love also. For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though being rich yet for your sake became poor, so that through his poverty you might become rich." Now let's break it down. He's not speaking as if it's a commandment. Some believers don't give because they say, "Well, it's not commanded of me to give in the New Testament, and you're right. There's no specific verse that says that you must give." But look what he says after that. He says, "But as proving though the earnestness of others the sincerity of your love." What does that mean? He's saying that one that has truly encountered, one that truly has tasted and seen of the goodness of God, their heart would now become in a place where their generosity would just flow from it. There's not a specific explicit verse you're right. But he's saying that you have already received all that you can receive, and in receiving all that you've already received from that heart you give. Do I got to say it again? He says, he's saying, "Well, you should already know this. Let me speak about the goodness of God, God." And though he was rich, he became poor so that you become rich. In that revelation Jesus Christ has already given us everything that we could possibly have. Why? Because he left eternity.
He entered humanity. He became a baby. He became a man and then he died for you. He emptied himself and became poor so that you may become rich in him. And then become rich in him. That's where your generosity flows. Listen to me, buddy of Christ. This right here will change the way you give forever because you're not paying for a blessing. You're not putting a down payment for a house in the spirit. No, you're giving because you've already received. Because you received, you give. That will break religion in the name of Jesus. It will break religion in the name of Jesus. So tonight we're going to give because why? Because we've received. Tonight we're going to give why? Because we've received. Tonight we're going to give why? Because we've received the goodness of God. Hallelujah. So everybody, put your hand up. I want everybody to stand up. Hold on real quick, real quick. Something that the Holy Spirit's been ministering to my heart and it's been blessing others and it's on dependency. I wanna go deep into dependency. If you wanna take notes or if you feel like you wanna grow in this area, I want you to take notes. Use your phone, use a paper and pen, whatever it is I'm gonna teach tonight, it's gonna be really good. Man, that's a lot of witchcraft. Praise God for Jesus, destroying every idol. Where was every principality and power disarmed? At the cross Jesus said, it's, it's, when someone says it's finished, there's no more, right? So did Jesus have to go through anything else after what he completed on the cross? It's finished, that's it.
Victorious, that one hour where the sins of the world entered his body and he felt the fullness of separation that the sins of the world brings, that one hour of torment is something that nobody can understand. Jesus finished, everything that needed to be finished, every demon, every principality, death, the sting of death, everything. He finished it on the cross, he won. He restored us back into the original plan that God had in the garden. Man, if only we knew man, before the fall, God had plans for us to be fruitful and multiply and reproduce and to train up our children and grandchildren and to build and to tend. There's gonna be a new Jerusalem, a city. God had plans for us to build cities here on earth before the fall, but now we have to go through this life and build things that don't matter until we find Jesus and we can start building the kingdom now. Actually, we don't find them, he finds us. And then when we give our life to him, we start building now. How beautiful is that? That we can build the kingdom now. Is the kingdom of God getting a church building? Whatever building God decides to bless us with, whether it's 1,000 square feet or 100,000 square feet, it doesn't matter that same building will be destroyed. So am I worried about,
or am I praying and hoping for a huge building that everyone can look at as a golden calf? No, the kingdom of God that I'm building now, you. People, you being built onto maturity is me building the kingdom now, I'll have return to rewards in heaven. So when I preach up here, I'm giving in my all, 'cause I want y'all to be built up and trained up and equipped to know Jesus even deeper, dependency. How many people have been feeling like they had a lack of faith this week, like they just had unbelief in a, raise your hand high, go ahead. How many people in here have never felt the attack of unbelief? Raise your hand if you've never felt that attack. Okay, so everyone goes through this right, whether it was this week or the last week or the last month, okay? I'm gonna teach you the formula for everything. The formula for everything to grow maturity in Christ. Maturity is not someone who's been saved for 35 years. You could be saved for 35 years and still be a baby in Christ. Does a baby, a newborn baby, depend on his or her father for everything? And mother, right to be fed, right to be, to be given milk, to go to sleep, to take a bath, and as the baby grows, what ends up happening? What happens is the baby grows. Hey, Jamal, she gets safe, she wants. She wants to go.
You see how they look at that as a perfect example. You see the babies? They depend on their mom. I have four babies. My babies depend on me. My wife, right now, when we wake up in the morning, they're depending on us to get them food. They can't cook. My six-year-old knows how to go into the cupboard now and grab random things and eat. Because learning how to do different things, like maybe make some toast or pour up some water and milk or whatever, as my child grows, what happens? They become less and less dependent, right? So in the world, maturity is when you become less and less dependent on your mom and dad or others to take care of you, and you become independent. But in Christ, it's the opposite. In Christ, as a baby, you think you got it all on your own. As a baby Christian, you think you know everything and you're ready to take over the world. As a baby Christian, you think that you're the ultimate message and that your life, everything revolves around your life because you just encounter Jesus, you just experience God in a big way, and now you think, man, I'm everything. When God has to humble you and show you more and more, it's not even about you. It's about him and being more and more dependent on him shows that you're more mature than you were last year. Haven't you known that as a Christian? Haven't you grown to see that? That as you go through the years or you go through the months, you realize you're more and more dependent on God? That's a sign of maturity. But as a Christian, if you grow more and more dependent on yourself, you're actually going backwards.
In the garden without a manvee, that test of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil was a test of dependence on self-independence or dependence on God, the tree of life. So as Christians, who do we depend on? When we're dealing with unbelief, who do we depend on? How many times have you dealt with unbelief and tried to, in your own strength, get rid of that thing? How many times are you battling in atmosphere and in your own strength, trying to outthink it, or trying to talk it away with friends and family through gossip? It never works, does it? But every time we depend on him, what happens? He handles it. So who handles our issues? Who handles our problems? Who's the one that blesses us? Who's the one that destroys the works of Satan? Who defeats Satan? So if Jesus defeated Satan, why are we going to ourselves to defeat Satan? I want to go to the one who already defeated Satan so he can continue defeating Satan. Because he already beat Satan and now he just continues through me to defeat Satan. So do I depend on myself or in my heart? Do I depend on the Holy Spirit, on the works of Jesus Christ? Jesus is the only one who worked for salvation. Yes, Jesus did the ultimate works for salvation. So I don't have to, right? So you don't have to. How many people in here have to work for their salvation? Nobody, right? We get it by grace through faith. But faith without works is dead. It doesn't mean we work for our salvation.
It just means if you have true saving faith, what will produce is good works. True saving faith produces sanctification. It produces holiness. It produces all the things that we positionally receive when we come to Christ. Christ just means set apartness. We become more and more set apart from the world. More and more righteous meaning. More and more in the eyes of others. We look more and more in right standing. It doesn't mean positionally we're not righteous, no. Because of the blood, I'm fully righteous, but I seek His kingdom and all His righteousness to learn about who He was when He walked this earth so I can follow the pattern and walk in more righteousness progressively. Does this make sense? But I have to depend on who? Jesus. Do I depend on myself? And if I do, every single time it won't work. As a Christian, have we depended on ourselves at times? All of us have. Does it ever work? No. So you do not grow out of needing God. You actually grow anywhere. planet whether you're safe or not is dependent on something when someone says I'm independent they're lying there's nobody on this planet who can be independent my question is what spirit are you dependent on what is everybody looking for when you ask people what's the purpose of life what do they usually say happiness right everyone say a feeling isn't everyone looking to feel good as a kid didn't you want to feel good what made you feel good when you're in elementary school for the people up there in the back what made you feel good
when you were in elementary school recess I actually said that up are you here I literally just said that earlier Bryce they get turned up for recess I used to be shaking him I can't wait can't as soon as they let us out I'm going all out doing everything possible every game hitting people I don't care I'm just wiling out hands going everywhere and usually it would get put in timeout because I couldn't control myself but I could not wait for that those 30 or 15 minutes of recess right because it was an experience but eventually as we got older didn't recess become less and less enjoyable didn't we need something more what are some other things you depended on when you were in in middle school to make you feel good lunch all for real right I couldn't wait it'd be like 9 30 I'm already hungry ready for lunch skipping the line trying to get doubles triples that dirty government lunch didn't care it was so good French toast in the morning those tater tots man the Mexican pizzas I don't know about that boy with those sausages man they were so good Mexican pizza day but I couldn't wait those hash browns in the morning man there's a little ghetto hash browns were so good bro because we were growing right I would get up extra early to get on like just to get to school before everybody I just oh man I couldn't wait I couldn't wait to eat but I used to love the experience me and my friends we'd be like fiends in that line sitting down like fiends to eat grape juice that apple juice whatever it was right because we wanted experience but then eventually didn't that school lunch get dirty then you hit high school and then you were cool if you went to McDonald's you were like the plug you were you that was like designer remember that they got McDonald's man you got money like you're popping how did you get it how'd you sneak out but we were looking for an experience right we're always looking for an experience as humans as Christians are we looking for an experience yes but you know we've realized as Christians before coming to Christ that all the experiences in the world it kept it kept us more and more empty because the school lunch led to what girls was led to what parties was led to what alcohol was led to weed which led to I got I want to experience something more so that I could have a new rush it's not like middle school we're going to the park to play ball my friends after school was everything to me I would sprint the whole mile from my house to the basketball court no like no tiredness because I wanted to play ball with my friends and just experience but now that was lame to me now it was something different I need a new experience and whatever
was being presented to me in front of me through the culture through the people that I'm around was what I wanted because they like it so I should like it and now we're all going to like it and I want to be liked really I'm looking for love and I don't even know and nothing's fulfilling me and I'm getting more and more empty and more and more heartbroken more and more betrayals more and more unforgiveness more and more me betraying me and more and more me doing things that I shouldn't have done I don't care if you weren't doing crazy things in the world like maybe I was you still were doing crazy things in your own realm or in your own people group you were doing things too we were all sinning we were slaves of sin and we all know that it got worse and worse and worse and worse this is why divorces at all time high and why nobody wants to get married because people have seen other people's experiences and they don't want it. [BLANK_AUDIO] and people saying people justifying it because they've experienced the same thing too where their children were too overwhelming where they felt like they wanted to do it and finally she did it so we understand that's a mental illness i've been through it too and let's raise a million dollars for her this is where the world is going where good is evil and evil is good because it's not because people are just terrible it's because people lack the love of Christ so now it's christians amen look at this as christians do we experience god when i experience his love is that an experience it's unexplainable his presence it's tangible it's weighty and you can feel it and when i feel his presence i feel the presence of god right now and when i feel his presence you know what happens i feel something that i haven't felt in the world when i encountered the presence of god in my apartment in 2019 it was so powerful that i gave up everything else that i was experiencing to chase after this one taste of an experience right why would someone give up all the drug dealing or all the witchcraft or all the things of the world why would we give up the things of the world unless we've experienced something greater we can't give up the things of the world it's because we're told to by another person we give it up because we experienced something better people in the world want a new partner because they want a new experience why would you give up the drugs that you're currently taking unless there's a drug that's a better experience for you that's why the gateway the gateway to experience of drugs it starts with
weed then it leads to all these different things if god doesn't stop it these people on the streets that are homeless on fentanyl and heroin they're just chasing an experience but what's the difference from the multi-billionaire whose experience is money that's their drug to the to the homeless person whose experience is if their drug is fentanyl there's no difference they're both chasing a demonic experience a demonic idol and they're both on their way to hell but Satan has put this person here because he knows this money will keep them bound and this one this one the drugs will keep them bound and for this one the fornication and sex will keep them bound he puts idols and experiences in front of people and keeps them bound until jesus breaks the chain and destroys the idols so as a christian should we be experiencing god when i evangelize in the streets and i speak to the christians who want the devil's experience more than god but claim to believe in god and love them i'm not saying they don't maybe they do believe in him but i know that because they're bound to the experiences of Satan they haven't been experiencing god and usually when i ask them have you ever encountered a supernatural experience with god they say no or their experience with god has been god rescued them from a crazy situation where they should have died is that an experience it is but does god want us our experiences to always be near-death experiences no that's the mercy of god that chased them down even when they weren't following him and they should have repented and followed the way so they can experience god not from an near-death experience but simply his presence in that prayer closet revelation when they're in the word coming to church and feeling the glory of god fall upon them god wants us to have dreams and visions he wants to give us words that we speak to somebody that we couldn't have known unless he said it or they experience god and we do too these are experiences with god that stir up our faith to keep wanting more and more why did i give all this up not because i wasn't experiencing something it's because i experienced the most high don't we all look for the greatest high even in the world don't we shoot for the stars and whatever it is you want to be when you grow but whatever it wasn't friendly you wanted the best of the best didn't you come on for the people in the back didn't you don't you want to experience the greatest thing ever don't you want to live your fullness or the potential and destiny that god has written don't you want to experience that you don't think god wants you to experience that all he wants you to experience that
god wants you to experience what he's written for your life more than you do god is in love with you and he is excited about you he wants you to i could feel his i could feel him right now strong he wants you to experience him more than you and wanting more and all our father wants to do is keep us right here holding us and protecting us through this life because this life is temporary and we're going to die anyways and he wants us to stay close to him covered under his shadow and experience everything he has for us so once we finish and we fight the good fight of faith and we transition now that's when we can actually go in there's no more sin no more demons no more worrying no more fear and when God can show us more of who he is he loves us bro but we still have to fight the good fight of faith and endure to the end and you can't tell me you're a Christian if you haven't experienced God I'm sorry it's just the truth even at the salvation experience when you believe the gospel there should be an encounter something should happen whether it's a download or an impression a vision a tangible presence a deliverance a healing or just a moment where you can begin to weep because you realize he is who he says he is you have to have experience with God if you're not having experience with God you will go and experience Satan's things so when people are dealing with sin cycles of marijuana of of addictions of pornography and all this is it's not because the sin or the demons so strong it's because they're not experiencing the most high you want to get rid of the lust experience God's love in a tangible way and I'm not just saying God loves me and that's it no I'm experiencing God loving me I'm experiencing my atmosphere shifting in worship where I fall to the ground and weeping and crying as a 36-year-old grown man because it's so weighty and tangible I can't even stand up that's experiencing God's love and that's real and that's the ministry of the Holy Spirit that's why I don't lust that's why I gave up the woman in the porn that's why I'm all the way on this side and I don't even care about that side anymore it's because I have something better this is why I'm faithful to my wife and faithful to and I want to be a good father and I want to be a good husband I want to do these things you know why because the one who I experience is pleased with that and because it pleases him it pleases me and by me being obedient and faithful to him guess what happens I get to reap the things of God that he wants me to reap he wants me to reap he wants you to reap it he wants you to experience it he wants you to see the Bible come alive he wants you to preach the gospel with revelation and experience so someone can encounter that atmosphere of God's power behind your words because what you're saying is real
he wants you to experience it because he knows when you taste you can't shut up he knows when you experience you won't be able to stop telling people you're gonna tell everybody because you can't even shut up a key to evangelism experience God and the early days of my walk all I could do was was just tell people about my experiences because I kept experiencing God I still do but in the beginning of my walk it was newer to me I had never been consistently experiencing God like the way I was and it was something so new I couldn't shut up I still can't shut up I still can't shut up he just gave me a greater audience it used to be one it used to be her annoyed because I couldn't stop telling her about all the things that's happening in my life and she would get she would literally get annoyed and not want to talk about it and say can you just be regular and stop talking about God all the time and stuff I don't want to be at the restaurant evangelizing to the waitress can we just and she was she thought we've had these conversations she could tell she's loud to get this real but now she understands because she started experiencing God eventually she had to make a decision and say okay God I'm all in or I'm not and when she made the decision to go all in God started showing her more and more in her own personal life and this is someone that was a christian already already I'd encounter experience bro and its dependency everyone say dependency my experience with God does not come from me just being prideful like I'm better than you know I boast of my experiences so that you can be led to this very thing dependency on God when I go through attacks of unbelief I don't just I don't just dwell in bask in that atmosphere I go to the one who can break the spirit of unbelief when I go through an attack and I feel something that's off the first thing I do you know what I do guys I say what spirit is attached to this emotion what is happening this is discernment of spirits what am I feeling right now and what word or communication is attached to this what is word word is communication from the spirit realm to us is their demonic word yes With your grocery cart and all of a sudden fear hits you How many people have gone through something like that where there's nothing in your your life that's going on the cost Fear and you just feel it you have just getting you got hit with a word first of all you got hit with an atmosphere And there's a word backed up to that and now the devil wants to bring you back to moments when you were fearful now You're freaking out now you're thinking oh my gosh am I gonna be able to afford this am I gonna be able to pay for this? And you're putting things back even though you have the money in your account But you're freaking out because you're not sure if you're gonna have it a month from now
Even though you have a secure job even though God is Jehovah Jaira You're experiencing fear and the devil's tormenting you because you're not discerning what atmosphere or what spirit is attacking you But then the moment you realize this is not God. This is not his character because I know his word And you say no I'll break that in Jesus name The atmosphere lifts and then Jehovah Jaira comes and says son daughter. Don't worry. I provide and Now you walk around Walmart with a smile on your face because you just destroyed that demonic spirit or that Atmosphere by standing on God's word and releasing it from your mouth Listen to me. I'm trying to teach you how to fight. I'm dependent on God. I'm not dependent on myself Does God want us to feel good. Yes He wants us to feel him you ever heard someone say I feel in the spirit What spirit are you feeling? If I'm feeling the presence of the Holy Spirit that the Bible says there's fruit that comes with it There should be love joy peace kindness goodness, gentleness, faith self-control all these I should feel these I should feel What God says about him and about myself? This is why the word of God is so important so I could be able to discern what signal or what word is being shot at me Yeah, y'all with me on this how dependent do we have to be on God very God's plan to build here on earth before the fall required dependence on Jesus Even before he came incarnate and it's theologically debated whether Jesus was gonna come or not. I believe Jesus was still Gonna come incarnate even before even if there wasn't a fall But because of the fall he had to come a different way on a different mission So had it out in the knee. How do they depend on God? This is all fake and this is all the devil's plan He took over humanity to build what we see now So he can fulfill his desires What do we see in these big old buildings the lust of money the lust of alcohol the lust of sex, right? You don't think when we get to heaven it's gonna be it's gonna be a life that where we actually work and live and learn Yes, we're gonna continue learning and we're gonna continue working We're just not gonna have to deal with these demons and all these all these atmospheres anymore It's gonna be the way God attended from the beginning. We had to take a little detour Some of y'all are I don't believe this guy, but then you believe in your life more than you do what I'm saying Even though you know in your life everything you're experiencing What if you're not experiencing Christ, what are you experiencing that matters? I? Have people say I want to leave a legacy. What's your legacy? I want to leave a legacy for for doing this it Who's gonna care in a hundred years? Who's gonna care? Who's gonna care in 200 years do you remember your family from 200 years ago? I don't I don't even know who they were Do you know what they did who they are? Do you even care about your great great great great granddaddy? Come on be honest I Don't I don't even know who it was So why do we care about this life so much when we know we're gonna die? It's because we've been deceived We've been deceived to love this life the life that we can have now in Christ and also will be transitioned. That's why the Bible says in Revelation, what does it say? It was the word of the testimony, right? And the blood of the land that overcame the devil and they did not love their life onto death. We gotta live as dead ones. In a world where everyone desires the successes
and lusts of the world, we're so dead to it and we're alive in Christ. Where we're storing up treasures in heaven and we're government ambassadors, we're government officials down here right now, legislating heaven, inviting people into an experience with God so that they can be saved and know Him not even now while we're here, even though we prophesy in part, even though we see in part dimly in a mirror, even though we know that we can still taste of the deposit that's in us. The Holy Ghost, like the Scriptures say, we can taste of God still. We have to hit a prayer closet to see God, not to, I mean just to experience God, we have to read His word, we have to actually do things to experience God. I do, I do, I do, the Bible says, draw near to Him and He'll draw near to you. Do I have to actually put diligent work in to draw, to God, to get close to Him, to want Him? Do I have to do something about it? Then why is there so much lazy Christianity where people think that God has to do everything for them and they can sit around and wait on Him? No, the Bible says no one comes to the Son lest the Father draws you in. Has He drawn you in? Yes.
It's your turn to draw near to Him. He'll never go against His word. But then we're taught just be lazy and come to church on Sunday and that's you drawing near to God. All God wants you to do is come for an hour and sit in the pews and do your little thing and go home and that's good or no. God wants everything. He wants your whole life because if you give them all your life, you'll actually gain it. You'll actually have life. Let's break out of this whole thing about our lives being this first person movie or this novel where we're gonna be, everybody's gonna know that there's no, that's not about us. For the older people in here, you know what I'm talking about if you're in your 40s, your 50s and 60s, you've been through life so much that you've realized, bro, none of this even matters. So why do we have to wait 'til we're 60 or 70 since the cast is leaking, cast it in our teens, our 20s, our 30s? I'm so glad I caught it at 29 and I feel like I wasted so much time. I wish I caught it as a 12-year-old. I wish I caught it when I was a teenager
and didn't have to go through all the things I went through. I wish. People act like salvation is just like, oh, let me live, let me live my life and then I'll get saved and come to crush and be obedient. You don't know God like you think you do if that's your version. If you think living your life in the world is more, is better than living your life in Christ. The version of Christianity or the version of following God that you've received is a Timu version. Real talk. You've received religion. You've received deception. You've received a satanic gospel. A gospel given to you by setting to keep you bound to him. Don't go to God, it's gonna be boring. Look, remember all your relatives, how boring they were and how their lives just sucked. Like, come over here where you can be. So, no, man, my life don't suck in Christ. It's lit. I have experiences with God. It ain't because it's about materials, because of supernatural things that I see. I see supernatural things. I see things, I was talking to these young men yesterday. Downtown Orlando, the beginning of our live stream, they had a barbecue spot on the corner by a parking lot.
And they had pulled up on them and they said, "Yeah, come over here 'cause they saw us live streaming." And they were like, "Hey, you know?" "Well, our barbecue spot, whatever." I said, "Yeah, I'm preaching the gospel "'cause he asked me what I'm doing on live stream." He said, "Oh, that's dope, man. "You know, I'm a believer and I go to church tomorrow. "I'm going to church tomorrow." And they smoking their blood and doing their thing. And I'm not judging, I'm just like, "Okay." And then they're like, "Yeah, I'm part of an apostolic church." And I'm part of that, I said, "Okay, cool, cool, cool." And I told him, I said, "I wasn't raising the church." And then I started giving my testimony. He said, "Let me hold on, I want to hear this." He put his stuff down and started listening. Who saw that live stream, who saw that? He saw his, he went from like this face shifted. They're looking at me like, you know what they're thinking? God is actually real. Because their version of following God is religion. It's what they've learned from their family members. They think they're good because no one's telling them they need to repent and that they need to actually have a relationship with God. So they think, "Oh, man, like I'm good. "Like I'm a Christian just like him." They're looking at me and they're thinking,
"Oh, he was raised like we were raised." No, I wasn't. I wasn't raising the church. I didn't come to Christ because I was told to because I put on my Sunday. "because my mama told me to. "My mom didn't tell me to play no drums. "I wasn't raising the church. "I went to a Catholic church where my mama, "she just did it because she was told to it. "We didn't even really, really follow it like that. "I didn't have a Christian household. "My parents didn't live like a Christian should live. "Now they do and I love them and they're on fire for Jesus. "But they can tell you they didn't live like that. "They were there, they loved us, "and all they knew was what they knew. "But I came to Christ because I was first working "for the devil experiencing him. "And I kept getting empty and empty and empty "and empty and empty and empty until Jesus came "and he swooped me up. "And then I tasted of his goodness. "And then I could tell people all the things "that I was doing for the devil so they can know. "I got more experience than you in the demonic. "You chasing the very things I already had. "Let me tell you something, it's gonna be worse. "That's what my testimony is. "The things that you're chasing and you think you want,
"go ahead and keep chasing it. "Half home boys that are dead and in prison. "You go ahead and chase that. "It's the grace of God that I'm here right now "preaching this message. "No, for real. "I don't even, I don't think y'all understand "why I'm so sold out. "It's because I should be dead or in prison, for real. "I have a brother in here, man, "that I used to be in the game with it "and he's saved now and his wife's saved "and all these things that he's in this church. "You know what I'm talking about?" And we were deep in the game together. Columbia together, all these things. And now he's, he has to get a certain clearance for a certain job and certain things. And they have to hit me up and they have to ask me certain questions. And he told me, he said, "Bro, just keep it real. "Just keep it all the way, like real. "Don't even sugarcoat it." And he said, "Man, I was telling this investigator "everything we did." And he said that he used to be a criminal, like a, like a, we were for the cops, the police officer, and that same unit and said that most people that were on our path are usually either in debt or locked up for a long time and that I'm very lucky
to be alive and are not in prison. And I was just praising God, bro, and that's why we're so grateful and sold out. It's not because, it's not because we're better than anyone, it's because we've been forgiven us so much. For real. I've been forgiven, I feel the fear of God right now. Nobody's raised to be gangster, to be this and that, you're not, you're taught these things, are better experiences through music, through your culture, through your friends. I just happen to be born in an area where that's the culture. And I was raised by a satanic spirit in that culture. I wasn't raised in the Holy Spirit. So what I was taught, this atmosphere and the word that I was taught was from Satan. And boy, did he wanna kill me? Did he want me arrested and imprisoned? But the grace of God, before I even, like I really be thinking, I think about these things. Before I even knew him, he loved me in all those moments where I just happened to just get away. Well, I just got away and my friend didn't. Or they got, they went to prison and I didn't. Or they got killed and I didn't. And I would always just get away. And I always knew there was somebody or something watching me. I used to say it was a dead relative or there was this or that. I didn't know. But then finally, when God revealed himself to me
and I realized, like now that I know it was Jesus, oh, bro, I'm so sold out and I want people to know because not everybody has the same grace, but he has the, whatever amount of grace he wants to have on someone he's gonna have is how he chooses. I don't get it, I don't know why. But that's why I preach to the gospel like I do because bro, people need Jesus. We need to depend on Jesus. We need to depend on Jesus. He's the only one that's gonna get you through your unbelief. You know, we should start doing as Christians, addressing what we're feeling to God and then looking for the truth of what God says about that situation and trusting that God is gonna shift what I'm feeling and what I'm going through so I can feel what his word says. And that's when grace, the power of God meets the word of God and it gets applied to my life. Yeah, I think the word is just reading a letter. Do y'all think the word is reading the Bible? It's believing what the Bible says. It's when a scripture, based on your situation, you're led to it by the Holy Spirit and you say it out loud and you believe it, that's when the Holy Spirit who's there begins to empower that atmosphere so you can actually become it. When you should be fearful but the Holy Spirit comes and now you're bold.
When you should be freaking out but the Holy Spirit because you're dependent on God and you're crying in that prayer closet saying, "God, I need you." He comes the great shepherd because I'm a sheep amongst wolves. You know what you want to know? The key to power is dependency. The key to power is dependency. Who, how many people want God to trust them? You know who God trusts? People who trust Him. People who go to God like a baby, always needing their heavenly Father, always wanting to go to Him first because they really know through experience that God is the one who's going to help them. Those are the ones that God can entrust with more. Because as faithful, with little faithful, with much, to whom much is given, much is required. What is that requirement to you? The requirement is Him. To whom much is given, you're required to depend on Him even more. Because if you don't, the very thing He gave you can take you out and become an idol. What satisfies you? What, right now, let's be real, stop and think. What experience right now in your life satisfies you more than anything?
This is where you gotta be real. For some of you, it's your spouse. Without your spouse, you wouldn't be able to live. For some of you, it's your children. Without your children around, you wouldn't know what to do. Look, and I'm not saying it's bad to have a spouse or children. I love my spouse. I love my children. But what experience am I depending on more? The God who ordained our marriage and allowed it to happen, who gave me children? Is He the one that I go to for experience primarily, even when I'm with my children? When I'm with my children? And I just, I'm so happy when I'm around them and love them. What am I doing? Am I going? Oh my gosh, I love my children like they're my idol or am I thanking God for my children? You see, like there's some people who look at their children, they love their children, but they don't love God because of their children. And then that child becomes their idol and it's the very thing the enemy uses to break their heart and take them away from God. Whatever you idolize, best believe. That prowling lion, that serpent is watching. Those demons are watching to see what you idolize
because they wanna use that very thing to take you away from God. But if you keep giving God everything and thanking Him for everything you have, they can't take God away from you. No devil, no principality, no person, nothing can take me away from God. Isn't that what the Bible says? So if I depend on the one that the devil can't even touch who's defeated Him, guess who's gonna protect everything that's been given to me? God, not me, I can't. I don't know what's happening, I can't. I'm not all day looking and seeing what's happening in the spirit realm. I don't know what's happening in the second heaven, do you? Are you one of those super spiritual Christians who could just say, I know exactly what's happening, no, you don't. We don't know what's happening in the second heaven right now. There's warfare going on. There's things in the spirit that we can't even understand. So are we sheep amongst wolves? So why are you depending on yourself as a sheep amongst wolves? How crazy would it look like a little lamb fighting 10 wolves? That's how you look when you depend on yourself and not God. And then you wonder why your whole life is in shrimbles. It's not because God is mean and then if you wanna blame God, that's the devil.
It's God's fault, laughing. God did that, that's not even his character in nature. He never wanted it to happen, but he won't go against. His word, but why can't God, I know I'm depending on myself a lot, but why can't God just still help me out because he won't go against his word? If his word says, seek him and you'll find knock and he'll answer, ask and you'll receive, why would he go against that? The papal says he lifts his word above his name. I say this every service. So what should we be doing guys? Depending on who, Jesus. And every moment I wanna depend on Jesus. How many of y'all have been discerning recently, spiritual atmospheres more and more? Good, discernment increasing is maturity increasing. What do you do when the atmospheres come around? Do you just bask in it or do you attack with truth? God's given you the truth, God's given you his spirit. And you have power over all the power of the enemy. So should I be basking in unbelief for a week? is basking in an atmosphere for a week instead of the Holy Spirit. Someone who's basking an unbelief is not seeking God. How can you feel unbelief if you've been feeling the Holy Spirit? Is this-- is this like logic, right? Am I trippin'? So when I asked someone, how you do it, I'm just going through it.
Have you been seeking God? Not really. The devil got you. He puts you through a situation that made you stop seeking God. And now you're worshiping and basking in the atmosphere of a demonic spirit instead of the set-apart, the Holy Spirit. Do we actually have to put in work and actually do something about it? Sorry, you do. You can't just sit around, and not everybody likes this message. This is the real gospel, man. This is the real life in Christ. We're going to actually have to fight and walk this walk out for real. And it's exciting. Because the more you go through it trusting in Him, the more you experience His glory. And the more you taste of His glory, the more and more sold out you become. I gave this analogy last week. Someone who's never played a sport, for example, basketball. They're not excited to go to a basketball court as much as they would if they got good at the sport. So for example, someone who can't make a layup is not so excited to practice. They might practice for 10, 15 minutes. But as they start getting better and better, they want to stay longer and longer.
The better you get at something, the more you want to do it. Y'all catching it? Listen, because this will help you out. The better and better you get at this walk by depending on Jesus, by going to Jesus, the more experience you'll have, and the more you'll want Him. I'm telling you, that's when that one chapter will become two, three, 10. That's when the 10 minutes will become 20, 30, an hour, three hours. That's when the one day fast becomes seven, 20, 21. You ever talk to someone who's done a 21 day fast or a 40 day fast and think, how did you do that? They worked their way up and experienced with God. That first one day fast, they experienced something after that fast. That third fat, that three day fast, they experienced something and it made them want more because they experienced God in it, which led them to have the faith, to depend on God's grace through a 40 day. Why do people pray for two hours? You ever had a grandma or an older relative who would pray for hours? You ever had one of those relatives? Why do you think they did it? They didn't do it for no reason. They didn't do it just because they're told to,
they did it because they know it works. Right? And you're a product of it. They've seen, I pray, I ask, I receive. Imagine if you can ask God for something according to His will and knowing that it will happen. Imagine, is that not the word? So should we be experiencing this, this word come alive where we ask according to His name, His will, and we will receive, should we be experiencing that in our life? Just because the first time you ask it happened in one day, the second time you ask it happened in two days, now the third time you ask it's been a week or two and you haven't seen it, it doesn't mean you give up. You should still keep pressing in until it comes to pass. You should still keep asking and believing till you see it happen. Oh, but you don't get it, man, it's been three years. Okay, keep going. And when the devil attacks with the lie, it's been three years. Give up, you attack with the truth. But God already did this, this, this, this, and this. This might be a little bit longer, but it means it's gonna be that much greater. (congregation applauding) Good things take time, right? Good things take, do you want something just quicker? Do you wanna depend on God through a trial
where maybe it takes a little bit more time and you get a little bit more of his glory? What do you want? I want everything God has. It's gonna come with a lot of pressing and a lot of turning and a lot of days where I feel like I don't wanna ask anymore or I wanna give up on this thing, but I keep on pressing and depending on him, going to him like a baby when, when God I need you and God's gonna come through like a good father and not just answer, look at this, and not just answer it right away, but give me the peace to believe that it's gonna come to pass. I want peace and faith to believe it's gonna come to pass instead of getting things like a microwave prayer. I don't want things to just come right away all the time. I wanna press in and I want my faith. pressed and turned and molded into the image of Jesus Christ even that much more. What do you want? Do you want this life in Christ or do you want the life for you? When it's a life for you you want everything quick treating this life in Christ like a scratch-off. I want to invest into the kingdom of God. I want to wait for the king. I want to put him to the test. You know the word says test me now and this he says it. You don't think God likes that? Test me and just trust in me for this and see what happens. Let's see how long you can depend on me. You don't think he's going to come and he could come through in a way you never expected and blow your mind so you can believe he's that much realer. Jesus is alive. Do you all believe this? Up there. Do you all believe Jesus is alive or do you believe he's just the religious figure that we talk about? Man. What does it mean when you say he's alive? Is it a phrase that goes on a shirt to look cool with an exclamation mark
that we can wear on Easter Sunday? What does it mean to you that Jesus is alive for the people in the back? If I'm a Muslim and I say Jesus is alive prove it. How are you going to prove it? That's a Bible verse. I don't believe it. Prove it to me. He's the same yesterday. Okay I don't need that. I want what is your proof to me that Jesus is alive. You know what I'll do? Back up let me pray for you. You want to know he's alive? Find out right now. What's wrong with your body? You need prayer? Let me pray for you. Let me tell you what he did last week for me. He's alive. He's active in moving in my life right now. Good. Let's keep it. The Bible confirms what we experience. The scriptures they confirm, but I'm not out here giving scriptures all day to these people who don't even believe in the Bible. I wouldn't come to the, back when I was in the world I would have never came to the faith because someone was quoting Bible verses. I love the word of God. It confirms what I'm experiencing and it allows me to experience more of God. They're holy and I need them and they're foundational, but man people out there don't care about what Bible verse we know. What phrase we say? Jesus Christ is king. Why is Jesus king? What makes Jesus king? Is it a phrase we say or do we truly can we explain to people why is Jesus king in your life? Why have you submitted yourself to a ruler and authority? Why is he the king of kings? I can tell someone why. He defeated death. He defeated every demon. I go to people and pray for them and they have demons and they come out of them. I know Jesus is king because I can pray for you and you can get delivered from a demonic spirit right now and I'll show you Jesus is king. I can show you Jesus is king because every devil when I have sleep paralysis would run at the name of Jesus. I can tell you Jesus is king because when I walk up in a witchcraft store these demons flee because of who's with me. I can tell you why Jesus is king. I'll pull up to a Muslim mosque and not worried about getting killed because I have a big shepherd with me. This is why Jesus is king to me. I've been places and I've been through things and Jesus proves to me every single time that he's king. Jesus Christ is king. What's your experience man? Why is he your lord? Why is he the lord of lords? Why is he a savior? What's up with this blood thing? You know if you've heard blood scream the blood of Christ because they have no knowledge? Oh blood but he sacrificed blood. That sounds like a witchcraft ritual. Well let me tell you how
witchcraft has perverted what he did real quick. Let me tell you why a righteous man a perfect man shed his blood for you and now they begin to hear the gospel message. Now they begin to understand Why Jesus shed his blood? or famous like they do with chickens and goats. He shed his blood to save me and to save you. And here's an invitation, whether you take it or not, the blood of Jesus can wipe you clean if you believe. You see how it hits different when you have revelation of what the Bible says instead of just quoting scriptures? Why is Jesus alive? I can feel this presence right now. I get into worship every day in our fearless presence. Tangerably, do you? Alive means that the person is as active and moving. I can't see Jesus in the physical, but I can see him moving in my life. Do you, if you don't, you know what you should do? Go cry to him and say, God, I ask. Say, God, your word says, here goes, as the Bible, those who diligently seek the Lord will be rewarded. Now, let me actually, instead of reading and saying it, let me do it. Let me be a doer of the word. Let me not just sound cool in front of my friends who are lukewarm or aren't Christian by saying a scripture to look like I'm mature. And let me be a doer of the word who prays for that same friend and they come to Christ. I mean, not just be quoting scriptures that's Super Bowl games, while my friends are getting drunk
and I'm just having one or two beers. So I feel righteous. No, let me actually move in power so they can be delivered on that couch. Let me actually live what the Bible says instead of being a couch potato Christian. I wanna wake up. Do you wanna wake up? Who wants to wake up? Who wants to stop playing church? Either he's king or he's not. Either he's alive or he's not. I know he is. I'm saying it for the people in here who write a crossword, Rose, let's be real. How many people can say right now that you're that person? Who knows Bible verses or knows all these things and you just, but you haven't been really experiencing it or believing it like that, be real. Raise your hand, who's that person? If that's you, I want you to come to the altar. Come on. (audience applauding) We're gonna pray for you. (audience applauding) Ain't nothing to be ashamed of, bro. Come on, Bryce, come to the altar. You're not coming up here for me. It's repentance and you're coming up here for him, not me. Come up here to the altar.
I believe the Lord through this act of repentance and just recognizing that you want more of him. He's gonna bless you. He loves you. He wants you to go crazy in experience. He wants you to have a good time with him. He wants you to just, man. He's so in love with us, bro. Just gotta, I gotta communicate it to, I gotta communicate it this way, bro, 'cause God is coming back and he wants to wake us up. It's burdensome sometimes. I gotta communicate it this way. There's more, I just feel that there's more y'all and you don't wanna stand up because of pride. Get up and come to the altar for real. Come up. Why'd you come to church? Come on, man. And nobody's judging you. I need this. I'm gonna cry out when you guys cry. I want more. I'm giving y'all a recipe to what we should be doing all the time. We should always be asking God for more. What did Moses say? Show me your glory. Show me your glory. Even Jesus, bro, man, he showed us the pattern.
He could take this cup from me. But nevertheless, he cried out in agony, bro. He was real with the father that he was suffering. I know what came after that was the grace to get through what he went through. Then he finally had the joy to get through it, the revelation to get through it, the father gave him the revelation and the strength to get through the passion, to carry that cross. He needed to go to the father, though.
