Man, I want to share a revelation that the Lord blessed me with You see, there's a person in scripture Out of all the people that Jesus personally invited to follow him There was one person in scripture who remains unnamed Everybody say unnamed And he stands out for a haunting, devastating reason You see, we have Luke, we have Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John You see, all of the encounter with God is recorded in the gospels But across all four gospels, 2,000 years of church history We simply know this man as the young rich ruler And it fascinated me That's when I began dialoguing with the Holy Spirit I said, God, his name is just a title Of his age, his money, and his position And I asked the Holy Spirit, I said, why? And the Holy Spirit began to speak to me You know what the Holy Spirit told me? He said, because that man allowed the world to name him And heaven left that page blank Because God doesn't compete with the names earth gives Because God calls us to lay them down So that he can reveal to us who we truly are And I'm gonna show you guys this through scripture Mark 10, chapter 21, verse 22 It says, and Jesus looking at him, loved him, and said to him You lack one thing Go, sell all that you have and give to the poor And you will have treasure in heaven And come, follow me Disheartened by the saying, he went away sorrowful
For he had great possessions You see, Jesus said, you lack one thing That one thing that he lacked was surrender And that choice right there left him unnamed in heaven And I want to paint you guys a picture Because this is a terrifying revelation Listen to this People don't understand that this man right here If he would have caught it, this man could have walked with Jesus He could have casted out devils He could have seen the blind eyes open up And he possibly could have been an apostle He possibly could have been an apostle But here's the thing He allowed the world to name him and now he's only remembered by what is least in heaven. He never truly surrendered. You see God, God is after the very thing that sits on the throne of our hearts and I want you guys to notice the irony in the language. The Bible says he had great possession. Yes that is true but what is even more true is that his possession possessed him. The Bible says that he owned things yes he did own them but what is even more true is that they had more of a hold on him. You see God will always challenge the very thing that grips your heart. The very thing that you cannot let go God calls you to lay it down and let me name you. Let me give you a new name and so as I was just studying this revelation I realized there's a lot of people here today in the body of Christ. You see they want heaven but they don't want to let go of Egypt. They want the calling but they don't want to surrender. You see they want glory but they don't want to go through the crushing that has to come forth in order to produce the oil. That's everything with the scriptures and I want to encourage you guys that tonight you're not giving onto man, you're not giving onto this house, you're giving onto God and with each giving that you release you know what's happening in your heart? You're saying God I'm allowing you to name me. I am not named by my possessions, I'm not named by the world, I'm not named by anything this world has to offer.
Yahweh you are my master and you have given me a name and I surrender. So what I want everybody to do today is I want you guys to stand me, stand with me, join me because we're going to give onto the glory of God. We're going to relinquish whatever has tried to grip our hearts, the lies of the world. We're going to relinquish it today and we're going to understand that Jesus Christ our Lord and our Savior he's our provider Jehovah Jireh. Everybody say Jehovah Jireh. Jehovah Jireh. So we're going to bless the Lord today with our giving and I just want everybody just to close their eyes and to raise their hands up to the sky. As you raise your hands up this is a sign of victory. Oh Heavenly Father I thank you right now that today Lord Jesus we've caught the revelation my God that you are our master, you are king and you've given us a name Lord and today we relinquish any names of the world. Right now we relinquish Lord Father God the lies of the enemy and I thank you in the name of Jesus Christ that as we give on to you there is more of our hearts that is being pruned Lord. I thank you that today is a day of surrender and Lord we just give to you because we acknowledge you as the sole provider of our lives. We give to you Lord Father God freely my God and I thank you in the name of Jesus that each and everybody in this house they chooses to bless you. We thank you for what you're doing we thank you that the kingdom the kingdom will be advanced my God and we thank you that you're using each and everybody here in this building and everybody tuning online. is doing and San Diego is very similar to what he's doing here it's it's a revival I would say hub area where man is presence and power evident where God is saving souls making disciples and they have a rich history of revival at their church for a lot longer than what we've been doing I mean his father uncle and just many people that he knows him and his wife they have a powerful testimony I've been doing it for a while but long story short pure humble loving both of them they're like literally one in the flesh like even though they're separate I feel like they're together a lot in the spirit and we honor them a lot this is first time preaching here um he blessed the leadership him and his wife blessed the leadership this morning we had a leadership meeting so much breakthrough and our leadership chat so many people were saying man that was so powerful and they received a lot of impartation and man he's blessed us already so much myself along with my wife and my family we hung out with them all day yesterday God was moving and um yeah we have the honor to have these two gifts here tonight and he's gonna give a powerful word that the Lord's put on his heart so again he's a friend of this house not just me and my wife of this house I believe he's gonna come here regular to preach for years to come so I want us all to truly from our heart give him a big round of applause an honorable round of applause. would get into every one of their kids that every one of their leaders would be flame carriers that they would run after you Lord God contagiously burning that every single person you give them influence in God would be yielded to the things of the gospel we bless this marriage that it would be strong and fortified and healthy and that every single person that knows them would say man I want what that is what's your secret and they would say keep your eyes on Jesus exalt Jesus love him well and the blessings will follow so we thank you for what you have in store for them and we bless them now in the name of Jesus Christ we pray and say amen amen amen amen oh you may be seated oh they're the real deal you already know that you all already know that well I'm so honored to be with you guys the privilege is absolutely mine I want to introduce my wife this is my beautiful wife Ashley would you stay stand up and say hi she's incredible she's incredible married 15 years must be doing something right I don't know must be doing something right yeah we're so honored you know um real quick yeah a pastor a church in San Diego called Faith Chapel God's been doing amazing things there right when I came into the mix in this role I got introduced to Pastor Richard uh very from a friend of mine I had I did not know about him I had maybe seen a couple videos and I was like he looks familiar I feel like I know him but I didn't really know him and then he brought this you know to our church and I was like a couple months on the job honestly and I was like oh lord here we go and so that egg just cracked wide open it was amazing God moved it was a it was so phenomenal people getting delivered and touched and set free and worshiping and we were baptizing people till 2 30 in the morning 3 o'clock in the morning I mean I think we baptized like 93 people or something in one evening like I mean it was powerful powerful evening God just kept moving and then you know what I realized I was like hey this guy's a real deal I just when you find people that are solid that are the real deal it's sad to say that that's that's sometimes few and far between because there's a lot of people who know how to play the game it's a lot of people who know how to do the church thing but there's not a lot of people that drink deep from the well of his spirit and then are humble enough to just say listen I'm just here to preach Christ and lift him up and then you could come receive from them guys you have this in your own backyard if you're not a part of this yet you need to dive in deep with what the Lord is doing here in this house you need you need to come
participate become a member pray seek the Lord I mean obviously do it out of obedience to God but I'm just telling you if I was in this neck of the woods I'd be sitting right here front row anytime I could trying to be in this place because of what the spirit of God is doing here and because I could follow leaders like them I could follow leaders like them so I just I honor you guys man you're the real deal thank you you're a beacon of humility and generosity and sacrifice so I just man honor them support them love on them you won't regret it okay let's dive into this uh you guys ready for the Word of God? Ready to get in the Word? Oh man, y'all already heated it up in here. I'm from San Diego where the weather's perfect all the time. As soon as I landed, I texted him. I'm like, bro, I'm sweating already. He's like, welcome to the swamp. I was like, good Lord. And then we came in this room and you know the AC was cooking until the worship started. And then all of a sudden now inside feels like a little bit like outside. Like man, the worship, my watch was even like, you're doing an indoor workout. Do you want to record it? And I was like, yes I do. That was funny. Burned a couple calories. Not a lot. A couple of them. We got two kiddos. My daughter's Emma. I don't know if they're watching right now, but shout out to my daughter Emma. She's 11 and my son Judah. Amazing kids. They just love the Lord like crazy. So zealous for the things of God. And let me tell you this much, like some of the things that you're experiencing on the regular are things that we chose as a family to expose my kids to. So for example, when, is it okay to like come down? I could be free and do stuff. Like, I'm just sorry. I'd like to roll around. So like when Pastor Richard was out at our church, he's ministering. He's pouring in and then there are people are getting touched and delivered. And the one thing I knew is my friend told me, he's like, you're going to need altar workers because of the people who are going to respond to the altar. So we put the word out. We got people up there. We're praying, seeing demons cast out all this stuff. And my kids were very young. I said, listen, I wanted you right there in the mix of it. You know why? Because they have the same authority in Christ Jesus that we do. And now they're not afraid. They're not afraid. If someone starts manifesting, gets free, they walk right over and they start praying for people, casting demons out of people because they recognize who Christ is in them. And that was just a decision that we made, but I praise God for your ministry because it was continuing to expose this reality all over the world. And it's for you, it's for me, it's for your family. So it's a beautiful,
beautiful way to live. And I praise God for it. It's a good thing. All right, let's jump into this word tonight. Mark chapter four. All right. Oh, if you got your Bibles, track with me to Mark chapter four. We're going to share some stuff. We're going to read a familiar portion of scripture that you might be familiar with, but we're going to try to pull some fresh truth out of this. I'm going to see what the Lord does this evening. Would you pray with me? Mighty God, we thank you for your presence in this room. We thank you for what you've been doing this whole time. It's as if you were already in this place, just waiting for your sons and daughters to gather to celebrate with you. We're here, Papa God, we love you. Thank you, mighty God, that they're going to hear not from me, but they're going to hear by your spirit today. I pray that you would encourage and lift up and shatter any shackles that anyone still has, that we would have a resounding yes, echoing deep in our spirit, the desire to know you. Thank you for what you have in store. I like this phrase, we don't make room for you, we give you the whole room. It's all you, everything. Come get your glory tonight. In Jesus' name we pray, amen. Mark 4 verse 35. As evening came, Jesus said to his disciples, let's cross over to the other side of the lake. He said, let's cross over to the other side of the lake. You see, when we come up with our own ideas of things that we want to do, it's hit or miss. But when Jesus says something is going to happen, you can bank on the fact it's actually going to happen. You don't have to second guess it. You know it's going to happen. So when Jesus says he's going to take you somewhere, or he's going to do something in your life, you can take that to the bank and cash it 100% of the time. Because he's surefire. It doesn't matter what happens in the middle. Anybody in here ever had a word from God where he's told you something, and then it looks like the opposite starts happening? You know what I mean? Like he promises you something in a relationship, or at your job, or in your finances, and then all of you're like, oh man this is good. And then it looks like every demon in hell came against that word. And now all of a sudden you're just like, where's the promise God? It's because we haven't seen the full manifestation of what he's actually promised you yet. And the reality is, is that if we don't abort what he's told us, we'll get to the finish line, and you'll discover he's actually true 100%. He won't lie to you. The scripture says in Ezekiel chapter 12 verse 25, he says, I am the Lord, and if I say it, it will happen. Another version will say it like this. He watches over his word to perform it. He promises you something. He says something. He declares something. And we have the privilege to partner with him in faith, to believe that he'll actually
do what he says he's going to do. So when God says something, he'll make sure it happens. Which leaves you and I to try to understand what is God saying to you? It takes faith to hear from God and to actually believe what he's telling you You see even this even when you read these 66 books that are a blessing to your life when you're reading this if you don't If you don't read this and marry it with faith, you're gonna get a lot of good information But faith activates something that's available to you when you actually begin to believe what God's already told you I know lots of people that could quote scriptures for days They know the history They know which King was doing what and what's prophet was prophesying during that time and give you a lot of information But if you only know that and you don't couple it with faith, it's like it's it's it's there. It's available It's promising, but there's something that comes alive when you partner with it in faith. Amen We have this and this is an important way to live. We also have the Spirit of God who's still speaking to us today Which is why it's important for you to be connected to a healthy church like Remnant Revival It's important to be in a place like this because it's not just men talking to you or women speaking to you It's the Spirit of God breathing through men and women Speaking to you and to me By his precious Holy Spirit There's leaders who are healthy shepherds who hear by the Spirit and convey to you what they're hearing It's so important. I Just came out of a season not too long ago And when I was in this this previous season, it was rough It was it was the second hardest thing I had ever gone through in my entire life And while I was in this difficult place, I remember there was a word that God had spoken to me and In the external on the outward things didn't look like it was actually happening But I had to anchor myself to what I knew God had told me Because that actually sustained me. It actually put wind in the sails when it felt like I was dead in the water and I began to believe in things that I had not yet seen which is what we're supposed to be doing We're supposed to be calling things forth that are not as if though they are It's a faith element that trusts and anchors into what God has called us to do
This sustained me through ups and downs it helped me to trust him. There were times when he'll share something to my wife That I don't hear and as he shares something with my wife. I can trust what she's hearing from the Lord I could believe in what God's telling her we work together God's told us some pretty bold things. I remember she had a government job She was working at the Social Security Administration And she was making way more money than I was as a youth pastor and the youth pastors realize you don't make a lot of money Alright, so I was I was a trouble, but she was making making way more than I was But the Lord spoke very clearly about her leaving her career to go into full-time ministry with me Didn't make a lot of sense on paper was very difficult, but I'll tell you what the Lord was in it 100% the Lord was in it I had to have enough faith in the Lord and also in the one that I was connected to that she hears from the Lord And it blessed me You ever heard this teaching? I heard this once and it really really impacted me. It's called honoring the point You see if you had a pair of hunting dogs, I'm the worst hunter if you're a hunter in here I feel you I get it. I get all that. I'm just not that way I'm the guy that finds a snail on the ground and I'm like, oh man, let me put him in a bush Let me help him out. It's gonna take him all day to get here I'm just gonna I don't want him to die, you know, so like I'm just like trying to help all the time You know, I don't have that killer instinct very well. And so anyways However, if you had a pair of hunting dogs and you're going out and you're hunting Whatever you're hunting. Let's say you're hunting some pheasants and as you're out there and you're hunting those what will happen oftentimes You'll have a pair of dogs one dog will pick up the scent of what you're hunting and the dog is designed to point in the direction of where The thing you're hunting is where the pheasant is But the other dog might not pick it up might not pick up the scent But when that dog notices what the other dog picked up he too will point in the same direction It's called honoring the point you see in the spirit It works the same way. You might have dragged yourself to church tonight You might have been tired and broken and not really feeling it
But you stepped into this room and you saw people rejoicing in the presence of the Lord honoring God Pointing into his glory and it unlocks something in you as you honor what God's doing in them It's not about me like oh, I gotta get mine. I need all my stuff No You can celebrate what God is doing in somebody else and dance yourself into your own Breakthrough because you honor what God is doing in your brother or your sister It's a beautiful thing You might have a financial need. That might be a way you start pouring into somebody else's financial need in order to get your own breakthrough. You might be believing for a healing in your own body but if you would begin to pray for healing in someone else you might see a breakthrough in your own. There's just something about the connectivity of the body of Christ where we honor what the Lord is doing in another. Amen? Amen. Verse 36 it says so they took Jesus in the boat and started out leaving the crowds behind although other boats followed but soon a fierce storm came up highways were breaking into the boat and it began to fill with water Jesus was sleeping at the back of the boat with his head on a cushion the disciples woke him up shouting teacher don't you care that we're going to drown love this the stern where Jesus is sleeping is the roughest part of the boat considering the temper of the waves you see this is super cool I love that the emotions of Jesus isn't influenced by circumstances from the outside I love this about him he operates from such an internal world of peace his internal world actually influences the external world what's happening inside influences what's happening outside that's a different way of thinking oh if we can learn to live from within and not freak out any time something starts happening outside so when the world breaks or when kovat comes or when something happens in your home or at your job or in your family you actually begin to influence what's happening around you from the internal well bubbling up within you understand what I'm talking about when two worlds collide one of them is going to bow which world will it be for you everybody else is freaking out everybody in the
boats freaking out these experienced fishermen who know these waters very well they're familiar with crazy storms they're literally thinking about it they're going God we're gonna die Jesus Jesus is literally asleep he's counting sheep because he's a shepherd so what Jesus does when he passes out they're tripping out he's governed of a different realm the realm of the kingdom of which he is King you have to ask yourself what is the realm that governs your life Jesus knew the realm he was covered by he was yielded to what the Holy Spirit was doing in his life as he was obedient to the Father the ways of this world and all of its values is that what we're governed by or the ways of the kingdom and the things that the king values you're not gonna know what the king values until you build relationship with him until you dig into his word and you realize what he has to say about your girlfriend and what he has to say about your your boyfriend or how we spend our time or how we what we do late at night when no one's watching you begin to discover his tastebuds and it starts to shift things on the inside of us because we begin to develop an appetite for the things that honor the Lord that's how we have to roll let's go to verse 39 when Jesus woke up he rebuked the wind and said to the wave silence and be still and suddenly the wind stopped and there was a great calm then he asked them why are you afraid do you still have no faith the disciples were absolutely terrified who is this man they asked each other even the wind and waves obey him see Jesus wakes up and he rebuked the wind this word rebuked is the Greek word epitome oh and it means to reprove to censor severely or to reprimand this is the same word that's used when Jesus rebuked demons did you catch that it's the same word Jesus isn't treating the storm as if it was some neutral thing he's rebuking it and he's treating the storm with the same authority and disapproval as he treats the demonic I'd like to submit to you tonight that this storm was a demonically induced storm I'd like to submit to you that this wasn't because the weather did exactly what it was gonna do and it just so happened to be the case that a storm blew in I believe this was a demonically induced storm if I'm the enemy I'm thinking I got them
all in a boat if I can get that sucker to sink and then this whole thing's game over so I'm doing everything I can to try to get that boat to sink now I don't know how the enemy creates a storm I'm no weatherman I don't know that but we certainly are aware that in the spirit there's even influence we have over natural elements Elijah prophesied that there'd be a drought and sure enough at his word boom there was a drought three and a half years of no dew or no rain Moses held out his staff and all kinds of supernatural overlapping natural elements occurred against Egypt and the children of Israel were freed from captivity Joshua prayed a prayer and the Sun and the sky literally stopped and Israel can gain the victory over the Emirates so I know that there's biblical context for this he rebukes the storm which couldn't have come from the father because then the Sun and the father would have been out of alignment and a kingdom divided against itself cannot stand and his kingdom stance so we know it wasn't from the father could it have been a random coincidence I'm sure that skeptics would love to chalk it up as a random coincidence or perhaps as I'm submitting to you was it a demonically induced storm I think likely still Jesus wouldn't let it happen furthermore let me turn your attention to an easily overlooked detail back at the beginning before they set sail in verse 36 let me read it to you once more so they took Jesus in the boat started out leaving the crowds behind although other boats followed everyone say other boats followed the other boats followed there's other boats in the water these dudes see Jesus getting in the boat and they're like well I got a boat if he's going in that I'm gonna go follow him smart idea right I'm gonna follow these guys in the boat did you think that if you were going to follow Jesus that in your life the waves were never gonna get rough did you not know that the enemy was gonna try to take you out to the closer that you get to Jesus Christ did you not know that the demonically induced storms created to take out the true followers of Christ Jesus might come crashing up against your boat as well it might come crashing up against your marriage against your kids against
your finances or against your health I mean absolutely you better believe that as you aim to follow Christ the enemy does not want that to happen and he's gonna do everything he can to come against you but we have a confidence that Jesus will look at the manifestation of that demonic storm and rebuke it and tell it to chill out that's amazing he's looks at it he says peace be still so we could step in that same confidence with whatever we're facing today and we can look at those storms and realize I can prophetically stand up what God is asking me to do and say peace be still and guess what we have we have we have in our own situations because we're so topsy-turvy I'm getting seasick and I need to look at this and go man how God I need you to sustain me I need you to walk with me I need you to show me and I've all of a sudden a confidence rises and the Lord's like do something about it I was like well I was looking for you to do something about it he's like I will when you do something about it I was like well I thought you were just gonna like just do it your way and I was like well he's like I will well like when you when you partner with me we just have to partner with him if you thought or think that just by giving your life to Jesus there wouldn't be turmoil of some sort you don't understand the gospel I've seen Jesus help me I've seen far too many cheap altar calls definitely not in this house definitely not from this man I'll tell you that but I've seen other places where there's just a lot of cheap altar calls and the goal is to try to get people to come and if they will just come where the whole point is like well if I can just get them to pray this prayer then they'll realize they'll say like well I'm good now and I have permission to go out and live however I want to live because the guy at the altar told me that if I prayed this prayer I would go to heaven listen I'm not trying to minimize what God could do in a moment I believe that you could pray a prayer of sincerity before God and your name will be written in the Lamb's Book of Life and I do believe that with all of my heart but if you just think that all you have to do is come and pray a prayer and not walk out the life that Jesus has called you to live as a follower of the gospel man you
responded to a cheap word and though those pictures look real good on Instagram with full altars but at the end of the day who are the disciples of Christ Jesus didn't come up and say hey pray this cute little prayer and you get to go to heaven with me and you get a mansion and you get some streets of gold and you get a chimichanga he looked at you and he was like come follow me I'll show you what it's like if you've seen me you've seen the Father and that is the kind of altar calls that you hear in this place it's an invitation to die it's an invitation to lay it all down and to say my life is not my own anymore I give it away freely that's a beautiful way to live right there bro a hundred percent heard a story not even that long ago of someone that was talking about how they were suicidal they wanted to end their life and the word that was shared with them was listen if you don't like your life why don't you give it to somebody who wants your life they're like what are you talking about Jesus wants your life you're about to throw your life in the trash anyways why don't you give your life to him and let him bring revival into your bones and you will come alive like an exceedingly great army just give yourself over to him begin to fall in love with him I'm telling you this is what you're walking into this is the atmosphere of what this is an atmosphere of revival is dead things coming back to life but the only way it happens is all in you don't get to tiptoe your way into that let me just test the waters no no you we dive straight in 100% abandoned and I promise you ask anybody that's doing that they have not regretted it they have not regretted it I don't look at anything that I have not participated in and think to myself man well I wish I would have did that for four or five years you know or something just to kind of taste it and see what it was like before I gave my life to Christ before I dived in no it's not even worth it don't even think that way just so abandoned to him so in love with him he's become the most satisfying thing that I've ever given myself to man I lost it when we were singing you are my one thing oh man Psalm 27 for so good one thing I have desired of the Lord that will I seek after is that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life to
behold the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple oh dude David figured something out man talk about the key of David Isaiah 22 22 it's intimacy with God it's intimacy like God you're my one thing it's not you plus all these other things that are also important it's just you you know the vision of our church the vision of our church in San Diego is Jesus period it's all it is and that's all whatever needs to be it's just him it's just like everything else that I want or desire that he wants or desires is actually wrapped up in him so we just keep our eyes lasers are focused on him and God moves in beautiful ways he says come follow me there's no turning back do you remember when the prophet Elijah man that story is a thing you remember he's on the mountain now Carmel big showdown against the prophets of Baal 850 prophets the fire falls from heaven I don't have time to go into the story tonight but all that happens and then Elijah has like a breakdown after that and he's in a cave freaked out Jezebel's like I'm gonna kill you he's like oh my god he's losing his mind and then he gets woken kind of waking up the Lord's kind of like like what are you doing get back in the game so he kind of has this reawakening he literally goes in this radical shift he comes back out and the very next thing that happens is the the mantles about to be passed on so he goes to Elisha and he throws his mantle on Elisha's shoulders and the scripture says that Elisha was plowing like he was using a yoke of oxen and he was plowing the ground and then the prophet comes and lays a mantle upon his shoulders and after this happens the scripture says that Elisha is like all right it's go time goodbye mom and dad love you guys and then it says that he takes the equipment burns it and slaughters the oxen because he had to make sure that there was no temptation of going back to normal he had to say there is no temptation so when things get difficult down the road I'm not gonna be like oh should I go back and work at Taco Bell again like maybe I should go back and listen Taco Bell's amazing if you work at Taco Bell but what I am saying is you better believe that there is more that God has in store for your life to go to new levels become all he's called you to be but sometimes you gotta burn what was in the past
behind you man so take that and make it extra extra large and throw a chicken gordita crunch in it while you're at it just burn it all and run after the Lord Matthew did the same thing brother was doing pretty well making bank had a good job nobody liked him but he was cool with it and then he had to leave it all to follow Christ said I'm leaving it all there was no going back for him when Saul had his encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus there was no more going back you can't flip flop this back and forth, he's all in, bro. All in, 100%, committed to what God had for him. What's the scripture say in Luke 9, 62? No one having put his hand to the plow and looking back is fit for the kingdom of God. It's not how it works, it's not how it works. The wind and the waves obey him. A greater authority has arrived. Where does that authority that Jesus had that silenced the waves and the wind and the storm and the demonically induced problem that was coming against him, where does that now rest? Friends, it's inside you and me. We have the authority. How many people around you, I gotta ask you, how many people around you are seasick from the choppy waves? And you have the answer to silence the storms in their lives. If you're already a believer in this place, you love Jesus Christ with all of your heart. Guess what? You have all the authority.
Scripture tells us, Luke 10, 19, he says, behold, I have given you all authority to trample on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy. How much of the power? All the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. And then of course, in the Great Commission, he gives you all authority and sends you out. So you and I have everything we need to speak against the demonically influenced storms raging against our families, raging against our kids and their school system, raging against the political powers, raging against whatever's going on in your world. You have the authority, but the question is, are we just going through the motions, going through the emotions of church, or are we here to actually exercise what God has given us? Friends, we can't afford to. Storms are raging everywhere. Storms of the enemy are raging all around us, and we have the answer. We're called to, like Christ, step on the scene and use the authority that he's given us. Can I get an amen? Amen. Man, you guys still okay? Okay, don't fill up on chips and salsa. All right, Mark chapter five. Go to Mark five. So they arrived on the other side of the lake in the region of the garrisons. Like Jesus said they would, remember that when they were setting sail? He's like, let's cross over to the other side of the lake. But then the storm came in the middle. And so anybody that was nervous, and by the way, I love the mood music, but I don't know if you need to be up there all night. You can take a break. I was like, I think I can go to something. You can stay as long as you want. I'm just giving you permission. If you need to go, you're free to go. I was like, man, I love it. So he gives them the word to go to the other side of the lake. And the word comes, and now they get there. Verse two, when Jesus climbed out of the boat, a man possessed by an evil spirit came out from the cemetery to meet him. How's that for your greeters at the church? Right, it's like the greeters is dead people from the cemetery, right? This man lived among the burial caves and could no longer be restrained even with a chain. Whenever he was put into chains and shackles, as he often was, he snapped the chains from his wrist
and smashed the shackles. No one was strong enough to subdue him. Day and night, he wandered among the burial caves and in the hills, howling and cutting himself with sharp stones. That's a crazy welcome party, no fanfare. But when Jesus shows up on the storm line, the welcome party was naked, demon possessed, cemetery living, howling like a coyote at the moon, cutting himself with rocks, wild man. Crazy Joe, man, he shows up to welcome Jesus. Verse six, when Jesus was still some distance away, the man saw him, ran to meet him and bowed low before him. Jesus didn't even have to go find him. This guy came straight to Jesus. Why? Because the devil has no authority and has no choice but to bow. No choice. You see, when you host such a degree of the presence of the Lord in your life, you don't have to go hunt down demons. They will just come and have no choice but to bow before the Lord because you're hosting him well. You know, some people will ask, I've heard people say this at our church often. They're like, what do I do in my home? Like, we're dealing with this. I got a father or I got someone in our home
that's doing X, Y, and Z. And I was like, man, I feel you, that's difficult. That's hard, especially when you're living there. I know kids that have had parents that aren't believers and they're trying to figure out, what do I do in the home? And I'm like, listen, here's the best thing you could do. Start releasing the presence of God into your home. Just worship the Lord. You know, I used to have to scream so intensely at demons. Now the best way I've ever seen the demonic bow its knee is actually by exalting the Christ. and as i lift him up the light comes and pushes back the darkness it's been the most effective thing that i've ever seen in my life to dispel the darkness is to exalt the light and then it's very simple you're able to do what jesus does which is just like you need to go and he commands them to go and they do when jesus shows up is to take territory is to send a notice to the enemy like we were singing earlier he can't be there any longer the king is here and he has to surrender has to surrender i remember this one time my wife told me this story she was like in college and while she was she was she was driving and she accidentally drove through a red light is that right yeah she accidentally drove through a red light don't judge her like you didn't ever drive through a red light okay so she drives she accidentally drives through this red light and she noticed when she went through that there was a cop at the intersection and so she was like oh my god super busted so she pulls over stops her car and is literally like surrendering and the cop never flashed his lights never did nothing when the when the police officer's light turned green he just drove past her but it's hilarious because she knew she was busted she was like i did wrong i was in trouble and then like just absolutely surrendered and you know what's funny both of her parents are cops you know so she knows both of her parents are cops so i was a skateboarder growing up so i was always running from cops you know i was like oh no they're gonna get me i'm skating in places i shouldn't be skating then i was always now i'm married to someone and everyone's a cop it's crazy so but she just knew i was busted and because she
was busted she had to surrender before the lord it's a great picture of what the enemy does it's like when the saints of god step into the room the enemy just looks at it he's like oh no i'm in trouble and the first thing he's gonna try to gauge is if you're a real one because the merch on your shirt won't prove that you're a real one the recent post on instagram that you liked won't prove that you're a real one what's gonna prove that you're a real one is that you are dripping with the presence of god and jesus christ is all over you that's what's gonna prove that you're a real one and the enemy can smell it man i love that these demons are doing the same thing just surrendering because they know they're no match for jesus christ the power and the authority of the living god is unmatched in all of the world it's only a shame that demons appear to be more aware of this than we do we need conviction to strike our hearts you see when jesus pulls up on the shoreline they surrender when jesus walks in the room in many churches people often don't even recognize him we're like the religious pharisees we were talking about that with the leaders today the ones most trained that are supposed to recognize the presence of the lord and we got arms folded in the back scrolling through instagram while worship's going on disengaged from the gospel because we can't recognize when jesus comes in the room that's not meant to belittle you that's not meant to step on your toes but it is meant to provoke you unto holiness unto reverence before the presence of god where we recognize his authenticity you see guys we have to be this way jesus doesn't owe you nothing that entitlement that spirit of entitlement is bewildering sent a lot of churches everywhere why when i'm here i graced you with my presence so dazzle me preacher dazzle me worship team all right god i'm giving you my hour and 32 minutes and that's all you got today and all the rest of the week we live for ourselves man let it not be said of any one of us let us be so consumed and so convicted and so aware of the fact that he is god he's god verse 7 with a shriek he screamed why are you interfering with me jesus son of the most high god listen to what he calls him he knows exactly who he's talking to why are you a very me jesus son of the most high god in the name of god i beg you don't torture me jesus commands the spirits to leave and to go into the herd of pigs nearby who run off a cliff into the waters and word gets out about what happens everyone sees it hears it the word happens gets out oh my goodness what went down out there so the people come out says this in verse 15 a crowd soon gathered around jesus and they saw the man who had been possessed by the legion of demons he was sitting
there fully clothed perfectly sane and they were all afraid He's fully clothed, no longer naked, no longer in the graveyard, no longer howling at the moon, no longer cutting himself with rocks. He's just sitting there. I like to visualize it like he's got his legs kind of crossed and he's just like, he's just very normal, just like super proper. Like my goodness, like what happened to this guy? Crazy Joe, no longer crazy. What's going on here? And they're worried about it. Verse 18, as Jesus was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon possessed begged to go with him. You see, this is so interesting. I think this is so funny. If there was anybody that needed another degree of discipleship, it was probably this brother right here. Like you probably need to have six weeks. Pastor, I'm gonna need you to clear your calendar. You got to meet with this guy because he had legions of demons. Like he was in the cemetery cutting himself with rocks. Everybody knew he was crazy and so we didn't know what to do with him and so we went out there and we actually just chained him up. Like that was a good solution, was to chain him up. Because this is what happens with a lot of people that don't know what to do with people who are in, who are stuck in in bondage. Because there's too many powerless churches that are out there and so spiritually they just chain them up and throw them to the side. But praise God at Remnant Revival, there's people who have been set free and now that you've been set free, you don't just walk around with empty wrists with no more shackles, you've got keys and those keys can set the captive free. Hallelujah! That's what I'm talking about. You know who you are in Christ and I praise God and celebrate that the chains are gone but more importantly you can walk around and say I got keys. I know exactly how I got free. Because whom the Son sets free. Man, they were tripping out. I didn't know what to do. This guy was demon possessed. Probably should have had some extra discipleship meetings with this guy but Jesus doesn't even do that. What does Jesus tell him in verse 19? He says you don't get to come with me. You go home to your family and tell them everything the Lord has done for you and how merciful he has been. Tell him
how merciful he has been. You ever done a study and try to figure out why in certain places Jesus would tell people don't say anything and then in other times he would tell them go tell everybody. It's because when he was in Jewish controlled territory he would tell them don't go say anything because you're actually gonna make this harder for me. It's difficult for me to move and to do things because the religious leaders are constantly opposing me trying to kill me. But in this case he's not in Jewish controlled territory and so in that case he's like yeah go tell everybody about what the Lord has done for you today. I think that's super cool. Verse 20. So the man started off to visit the ten towns of that region and began to proclaim the great things Jesus had done for him and everyone was amazed at what he told them. This brother went from the crazy Joe shackled in the cemetery to all of a sudden one encounter with Jesus Christ and now he's the apostolic evangelist over ten cities. In one encounter. Didn't have to go through a whole lot of discipleship sessions. Didn't have to get his certification. Didn't have to do any of that. Jesus just trusted the encounter was so deep and so thorough he was like I'll let people know what Jesus did. This is wild bro. Don't let him know what I did. This is so cool. All the capitalists gets the word. So he goes out to tell him. I want to say praise God this guy didn't get stuck. I want to say praise God that when Jesus landed on his shoreline just like he's landed on short your shoreline tonight everything can change if you'll genuinely come to him. You see I got to tell you friend please don't get stuck. The enemy would love to keep you stuck. I'm talking about maybe you've never actually given your life to the Lord Jesus Christ. Maybe you prayed a prayer but you know in your heart of hearts there was a sincerity that was just saying I'm really just doing this because I don't want to go to hell but I really don't want to follow Jesus. And you know if you're honest with yourself that that's bugging you. And it's in your heart. He's landing on your shoreline tonight. And you know what it's like. I've been raised in the church. I know what it's like to be on fire for the things of God and then at the same time
to become complacent and to be going through the motions. Another service, another dance, another offering, another evangelism day. I'm going through the motions. and on the external everything looks good, but in my heart of hearts I knew I was drifting from him. I needed to respond to him showing up on my shoreline. I had to refuse to get stuck in the routines of religiosity. I couldn't allow it to happen. You know when people refuse to get stuck, breakthroughs happen. Incredible breakthroughs. Pause on this storyline for just a moment. Let me wrap a trail for just a second. Don't worry, I'm almost done. Do you remember Abraham? Remember Abraham? Okay, did you know that Abram had a father whose name was Terah? He had a brother named Haran. Terah was 70 years old when he had these kids. In Genesis chapter 11 we learn this, in Genesis 11 28, Haran died in Ur of the Chaldeans, the land of his birth, while his father Terah was still living. This is terribly sad that a father had lost his son. Horrific. If that's something you've ever dealt with, my heart breaks for you. I can't imagine what it would be like if one of my kids passed away. It's gut-wrenching to even think about the pain this must cause. So Terah is experiencing this. He's lost his son, and his son's name is Haran. Look at verse 31, Genesis 11 31. It says, one day Terah took his son Abram, his daughter-in-law Sarai, his son Abram's wife, and his grandson Lot, his son Haran's child, and moved away from Ur of the Chaldeans. He was headed for the land of Canaan. But they stopped at Haran and settled there. Did you catch that? They stopped at Haran and settled there. So they lived in Ur of the Chaldeans, where Haran, his son, died. Now he's leaving that place, and he's on his way to Canaan, which would in the future be called the Promised Land, the land flowing with milk and honey. So he's on his way there, but he actually stops in a place called Haran. So he had a son named Haran who died, and now he stops in a place called Haran. It's a place that's named after his deepest pain, which for the record is something that's super valid. But he's also on a mission that God has sent him on the way to. He's on his way to the Promised Land. He's on his way to Canaan. But he stops in Haran, and he sets up shop there, the place carrying
the name of his dead son Haran. You see, Terah couldn't get past his hurt. He couldn't get past the difficulty that he was facing. And so he stayed in this place of brokenness, and he set up camp in the place associated with his deepest pain, the perfect recipe for getting stuck. Friend, I'm here to tell you, you cannot afford to get stuck even in the place of your deepest pain. So then it says this in verse 32, Terah lived for 205 years, that's a long time, and died while still in Haran. He was on his way to Canaan, doesn't get there, sets up shop in the place of his pain, and it cost him his life. He lives a long time, never gets past his pain. So then the story doesn't end there. Then the Lord speaks to Abram, and tells him to leave the country, his relatives, his father's family, and to go to the land that he will show him. The place that Terah, his father, was originally on his way to, but stopped because he got stuck in the place of his deepest pain. So there's a way for the families of the earth to be blessed, but Terah couldn't finish the job. There was a promise that was resting on this family to do something so magnificent that had never been heard of before. But Terah got stuck in the place of his deepest pain, and so it became a mantle passed on to his son Abram, to leave all of that behind, and to push forward to what God had called him to do. Which is why God would tell Abram in Genesis 12 verse 3, all the families of the earth will be blessed through you. And then in verse 4, so Abram departed as the Lord had instructed, and Lot went with him. Abram was 75 years old when he left Haran. So dude spent 75 years of his life honoring his dad in the place that he was stuck at, that his dad was stuck at, before the mantle gets passed to him to actually take the baton and keep running to fulfill what God had called him to do. Let's take this one notch deeper. Y'all know Noah, right? Built the ark, all that. Did you know that Noah had three sons? Ham, Shem, and Japheth. Just after the worldwide event of the flood, Noah is cooped up in the ark for over a year with his family and his extended family. Good Lord, help this brother. So in Genesis 9, 21, it says, he drank of the wine, he gets off the thing. And the first thing this good dude does is, he doesn't even get a drink. He plants a whole vineyard, right? Which is a problem. So there he drank of the wine, he gets drunk, and he becomes uncovered in his tent. So he's naked because he likes to party. And so, Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father and told his two brothers outside.
This is an interesting thing right here. The world was just reset. The reset button was just pushed on humanity. The moment the ark stops, Noah gets off, gets naked, uncovered in his tent, he's drunk. And his sons, one of his sons, the scripture says he saw his father's nakedness. And it wasn't just like he was like, oh, dad's naked, I shouldn't have saw that. The word for that word saw right there is ra'ah, and it means to stare intently at as with desire. This wasn't just an oops, this was a moment of perversion. Verse 23, Shem and Japheth took a garment, laid it on both their shoulders, and walked backward and covered the nakedness of their father. Their faces were turned away, and they did not see their father's nakedness. So Noah awoke from his wine and knew what the younger son, Ham, had done to him. Notice it was done to him. There was something that had happened, some kind of perversion. The scripture is unclear of what it was, but there was something. Right after the reset button of humanity was pushed, and Ham does something in perversion, and it's a major problem. Noah comes out of this knowing what Ham had done to him, and this is what he says, Cursed be Canaan, a servant of servants he shall be to his brethren. Who's Canaan? Canaan is the son of Ham. He didn't do anything wrong, except have a father who was overcome by some perversion. But when the curse is pronounced, it doesn't come to Ham, a perverted dad, it comes to Canaan. Too often, what one generation is unwilling to deal with, will be passed on to the next generation. So make no mistake about it, just because you're struggling with something right now, you have to begin to take serious what God's done in your life, because you don't want that thing to be passed on to your kids. You don't want them to have to deal with giants that you are supposed to be overcoming. Man, I struggled with all kinds of stuff as well, but I praise God that the things that I struggled with before, God has ripped that sucker out of my life, and now I can hold up the bloody stump of a giant, that hopefully, and God willing, I believe and declare, neither of my kids will ever have to deal with. And we'll be able to come back, and they'll be able to say, why is everybody struggling with this? We don't, and we'll be able to say, because Daddy took care of it, because Daddy disallowed that junk to come into the home, because we as a family said we draw the line here. Noah declares curse be Canaan. Now a couple chapters later, God tells Abram, remember we were just talking about Noah and his sons. That happened before. There's a curse now on Canaan.
Terah's on his way to a place called Canaan. He gets stuck in the place of his deepest pain. Now the baton is passed to Abram, and Abram's on his way to Canaan. What a powerful promise. Where was God planning to send him? Keep it in mind. Canaan, the promised land. But before Canaan was a land, Canaan was a family. Before Canaan was a family, Canaan was a person who had a son. Canaan was a man, the son of Ham, where Noah cursed, where he did something that was perverse to his father Noah. Are you tracking with me so far? So in turn, the cursed place, Canaan the man, is now the cursed place, Canaan the land. Which is where Abram is being sent to. Why is God sending Abram to this place? Because the land may be cursed, but it was never God's intention for the land of Canaan to remain cursed. God's intention was to raise up a man willing to respond to, in our storyline tonight, when Jesus shows up on the shoreline and to say, I refuse to stay in the dysfunction. I refuse to allow that to happen. I may not be perfect. but I'm following one who is. You see obviously there's some issues like you and me but we're also willing to let Jesus do all he wants to do when we yield to the work of his spirit. Then from there we could be bold enough, obedient enough, full of prayer and intimacy enough so that we would venture into the cursed land full of promise and destiny to reverse the curse and transform it into the promised land. Which is exactly what Abram's on his way to do. Ham messed it all up and brought about a curse. Abram is right smack in the middle of the cursed place armed with faith to deal with the curse. This is why one of the reasons in Genesis chapter 17 verse 5 God would speak to Abram and he would say hey Abram you're going into the land of Canaan to reverse the curse that Ham brought on this place. So he changes his name and he
doesn't just change his name he gives him an attendum and says I'm actually gonna call you Abraham. Why does he do that? Because he's going to reverse the curse of what Ham brought into the picture. He's actually sending him in saying your new identity is a father of many nations and what Ham forfeited you will bring back into prophetic fulfillment. Man that's a word. He had something to go back to to retrieve by faith and obedience what Ham had forfeited through perversity. God was just looking for someone who wouldn't get stuck like Terah did. Terah could have been the one to do it but he got stuck in the place of his deepest pain even though it was a legitimate pain. He lost his son it was horrible and so Abram takes the word and Abram this is amazing and so he gets sent in with the intention to reverse the curse of that place and God forever changes his name yes to father of many nations but he gets the addendum Abraham. Oh and for the record do you know what Noah's name means? Noah's name means reverse the curse. That means that Noah's daddy knew something about a destiny on his life long before God ever spoke to him about an ark. An ark to save mankind which would lead to a curse of a boy who would become a land a promised land which Abram would become Abraham in in destiny and reverse the curse and establish both a people and the great nation of Israel all because Abraham the father of the faith refused to get stuck. How important is that? How much ways in the balance of you and I refusing to get stuck of you and I refusing to play casual Christianity and some kind of apathetic religious game. How much ways in the balance? I would I would just submit to you that it's a lot. I have no idea the gravity. In this case even the Messiah Jesus himself would come through this lineage. Can you see it? So how much weighs on your response tonight when Jesus the Christ lands on your shoreline? I want to tell you ditch every excuse that has kept you from his feet at this time. Everything that's lied to you saying that you're unworthy, you're too addicted, you're too broken, you're too messed up, you're too demonized, you're too stuck. It's not true. Friends he's coming after you tonight. Came from the other from coast to coast to come in to
tell you he's coming after you. That's why you're here. He loves you. He needs you to hear this message. You need to realize that he is relentlessly pursuing you. He's unstoppable. Unstoppable. No demonic storm. No legion of demons. Nothing can keep you from his love. When everybody else threw you away he did it. He actually sailed through the storm, weathered the storm, taught his disciples to do the same so that they can multiply this gospel into a man that was so broken and so lost he needed to get free. You realize that that's the whole thing. All the disciples almost died and Jesus was never worried about it and it was all to go to this place to minister to one dude. Set this guy free. and then send him and turn him loose to all Decapolis. He went through all that to go after one person. How significant. And guess what? It's not just the job of Rock Church to to make disciples. They will, they are, and they do it. But guess what? It's your job too. It's all of our job. Some of the disciples you're making are actually sleeping under your own roof right now. It's your own kiddos. You're parenting them into the ways of discipleship, into how to honor the Lord, how to trust God, bring them into the difficulty that sometimes you're facing and say, let's pray together guys. Let's see what God will do. And God will move on your behalf. You better believe it. In Mark 5 21, Jesus got into the boat again and went back to the other side of the lake. He went all the way over there for one man. How significant is one man? I wonder in this big old crowd, how significant is one person in this place that maybe drug themselves here tonight and needed to hear what the Spirit of God is saying tonight. How significant is that? I don't want you to miss it. Not one bit. Jesus is landing on your shoreline. Would you please stand? You know, sometimes the devil understands the destiny on our life a little better than we do. You need to know that if there's been an uncommon degree of attack upon your life, it might be an indicator of the potential that the enemy sees in you. So if you were born into all kinds of craziness and you felt like the deck was stacked against you since day one, that might be a big
indicator to you that the enemy's been working overtime to try to take you out. He's been sending demonically induced storms against you because he is afraid that if you'll ever respond to when Jesus lands on your shoreline, you will absolutely be free and become an absolutely on fire real one, armed with the gospel of Jesus Christ, free from any bondage of the enemy, and sent out to go bring the gospel to everywhere he sent you. And you'll do it in radical obedience. Maybe the enemy recognizes our destiny a little better, but maybe tonight you believe what I'm trying to tell you, which is that Jesus showed up on your shoreline for you. I mean, he did it for you, friend. God has the capacity to have his eyes completely affixated on you. You're his beloved. He's obsessed with you. He's obsessed with you. He's not tolerating you. He's crazy in love with you, friend. You're his everything. He's all about you. He's completely stoked for you. He loves you so much. So that being said, this is the kind of night where it merits a response. It doesn't matter if this is the first time you've ever responded to this, or if you've been saved and following the Lord to some degree, but you know that there's things inside of you that are still wrestling with full yieldedness to the Lord. This is the moment where that needs to change. So there's two levels of altar call tonight. Two levels of response. The first is for anybody in this room that you have not given your life to Jesus Christ yet before, and you need to know that he loves you so relentlessly. He's come and landed on your shoreline tonight. And all of this is true. Everything we shared with you is true. It's in the Gospels. It's in the Scriptures. The Spirit of God is breathing on it tonight. I implore you, friend. I beg of you. Take this with all sincerity. Don't stay stuck. You have no idea what's coming in the wake of people following behind you. Kids, families, friends, co-workers, schoolmates, people that are running with you or that will run with you in the future, and they don't know it yet, but they're actually, they're, they're, they're hinging on the fact that you'll be obedient to God and yield your heart to him. If you've never given your life to Jesus Christ tonight, I want to pray for you. I just need to know who you are. So would you boldly and courageously lift your hand nice and
high tonight if you need to give your life to Jesus Christ in this room? Yes, sir. I see your hand. Yes, sir. I see that hand. Yes, ma'am. I see your hand right there. Yes, over there. I see that hand right there. Yes, I see that hand right there. Praise God. Praise God. Praise God. Yes, if you raised your hand, can I be so bold as to ask you to step out and come up here to the front. These people want to pray with you. Cheer them on. Come on. I know this is the hard moment. If you raised your hand, walk up here to the front. Don't be afraid. Don't get stuck. Don't let the enemy rob you. Don't stay stuck. Come out of your seat right now. Come on out. It's worth it. It's 25 steps that could change your life for all eternity. These people are up here, prayed up. They've been praying for you. They've been believing for God to touch your life. Don't let the enemy rob you. Not one time. You might be thinking, Pastor Josiah, great word. I'm encouraged. That's fantastic. But I've shown up at 100 altar calls and nothing has changed. I'm going to believe that tonight everything changes. Now we honor you guys. This is amazing. He loves you so much, man. I promise you we're going to pray in just a second. If you're also in this room, you need to start preparing your heart because in a moment I want you to also respond. If you need to just get right with God, whatever that means to you, we're going to address that in a second. But here's what I want to tell you really fast. I don't want you to just do it out of emotionalism. I want you to weigh it out and make a determination to really follow Christ. So in a moment we're going to ask if you really sincerely want to do that, but weigh it out in these next few moments in your own heart. For those of you that are up here, I commend you. I stand with you. A large majority of this room at some point made this very same decision, just like you did tonight. And the reason why we had you come and walk all the way up here tonight is because if you can't walk this out among a room full of believers that love the Lord, you're never going to walk it out out there. It's going to be way more difficult to walk it out of there, but the fact I just I honor your courageous spirit to walk it up in here. This is amazing. We want to lay hands on you guys real quick and then we're going to pray this prayer and we're all going to pray it together, okay? This prayer, like I told you earlier, there's nothing magical about this prayer. It's just a prayer that's pointing a compass in the right direction, but you walking this out is everything. Walking it out is everything. And if you mean this with all sincerity, I truly believe you will be yielded to God and you'll be a fiery one
filled with the gospel. We're all going to pray this together. Would you pray? Say King Jesus nice and loud. Say it again. Say King Jesus. Oh, I give my life to you. From this point forward, I declare your lordship. I'm tired of playing games. I'm tired of mediocrity. I'm tired of half commitments. I'm zealously going to pursue you. I declare your kingship over my life and over my family. I want nothing to do with the devil. In fact, I send a notice to the devil. Get away from me. Get away from my family. You have no authority. I belong to Jesus the Christ. I'm making a commitment unto him. I am confessing with my mouth and believing in my heart that Jesus is raised from the dead and I know that I will be saved right here, right now. My life is yours and I will walk this out all of my days. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. Can you give a shout of praise? Come on. Awesome. Listen, the scripture says to repent and be baptized. So, if you want to be baptized tonight, they got a baptism tank that's ready right outside those doors. You might be thinking, oh my gosh, I didn't even, I didn't even bring clothes. Listen, you live in Florida. It's pouring rain every 10 seconds around here. You get drenched all the time. So, I just want to encourage you, man, go and get yourself baptized and pursue what God's called you to do. When faith meets the water and you step into those waters full of faith, God will meet you there in a powerful way. You will be completely free from all of the junk that has tried to keep you in bondage and you will see the Lord do amazing things in your life. We encourage that. There's a team over there ready to do that. Now, for the rest of us that are in the room, I hope you took those few minutes to really weigh this out before the Lord. And you have to ask yourself, are you ready to make a fresh, passionate commitment to God because He's landing on your shoreline and all apathetic commitments of the past are literally falling dead by the wayside? Listen, you might not even cognitively understand every single thing that you're doing, but something inside of you is leaping as the Spirit of God is moving upon your life. This altar ministry team, we are here on fire, passionate and excited to pray with you. And I'm just going to believe, I'm going to mix my faith with your faith that when you leave this room tonight, something is so broken off of your life that you would never be the same. One encounter with Jesus Christ can change everything for you. It changed everything for me. It changed everything for her. It changed everything for so many people on this team. God will move in your life. So if you need to get your heart right with God tonight and you want a fresh touch of the Holy Spirit upon you, I want you to begin to come right now.
The worship team is going to get ready to sing. Just begin to come. Come up into this altar. Find one of these prayer people. We're going to walk around. We're going to lay hands on you. Don't play games with God. Don't be, don't wait. Don't delay. Just be like, I need a fresh touch from God. I want this full commitment. I need God to move in my life. Come find someone to pray with you. They're up here ready for you. If there's no one praying with you yet, the worship team in a moment is going to sing. I just want to encourage you. Begin to posture your heart to worship the Lord. Just begin to engage with God. You might get everything that you need before anyone even lays hands on you. Because it's Him that does it. We're just vessels. We're just messengers. We're sons and daughters equipped with everything that we need. But at the end of the day, it's Him that does it. So we're going to mix our faith with your faith. And the Spirit of God is going to come on you. And anything that has kept you stuck is going to be broken. Hallelujah. I'm going to pray. Begin to close your eyes. Begin to lift your hands. Begin to engage with God, even now. Let the fire of the Holy Spirit begin to come and burn away all the chaff. All the stuff that has kept us in a place of complacency. We come against every religious spirit that has tried to keep us stuck. We command it to be broken off of our lives in the name of Jesus. We actually say, peace be still to every demonic induced storm that has been raging against God's people. We command it to be silenced in the name of Jesus Christ. We release faith to believe that you are who you said you are. And nothing is going to keep us in bondage. Because Jesus has landed on my shoreline. And we are responding in faith. God, I pray if there be any curses upon anybody in this place, You're sending us in like you did Abram. To reverse the curse. We refuse to get stuck. We're stepping into what you've called us to step into. Armed with the kingdom of heaven. Valiant and passionate to pursue you with everything in us. I pray it would get into all of these homes. All of these living rooms. Bedrooms. Kitchens. Vehicles. Workplaces. Schools. Kids bedrooms. Every one of them. Armed with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Before we take communion, if you, if there's some things that you have not addressed with God or you have not or don't want to address with God, I want you to leave the cup sitting next to you or give it back to an usher if you're not ready to release these things. But if you're walking with God and there's some things in your heart that you need to release to God, you know those things, you don't have to search for them. God has already revealed it to you. I want you to just take a minute to just release those things to the Lord, confess it to the Lord, and let him fill you. Amen. Just focus on the Lord. And as I go over this message, you guys can just keep focusing on Jesus. Keep your eyes closed and just focus and listen to this message because communion is holy. Everybody say it's holy. We do this in remembrance of what he did for us to redeem us, to transform us, to fill us. So I want to, today as we come together in communion, I want us to see something that is often overlooked in scripture in Romans 16. You know, Paul commends, he commends Phoebe, everybody say a faithful servant. This woman of God was entrusted with carrying the letter, right, to Rome of the believers as she traveled. Nobody knew, everybody say nobody, nobody knew what she was carrying. To everyone around her, she was simply a woman on a journey, yet hidden within her hands was a message that would transform generations. The assignment was concealed. The treasure was hidden. The revelation was covered by ordinary appearance. As I meditated, I saw a picture of Jesus about this, right? Just as Phoebe carries something far more valuable than people realize, Jesus carries something far greater than anyone understood. The ruler of this age looked at him and saw a carpenter's son.
The crowd saw a man from Nazareth. Rome saw a criminal, religious leaders saw a threat. But none of them recognized the hidden assignment he carried. When we take the bread today. Remember his body people saw Jesus carrying a cross, but he was carrying much more than wood up on up a hill In his body he carried. I want you guys to repeat after me as I go through these he carried our griefs Our sorrows our sicknesses our weaknesses and the curse That rested on humanity Since the very beginning Just as Phoebe carried a message hidden from the natural eye Jesus carried the father's redemptive purpose hidden from the wisdom of this world The bread reminds us that his body Became a vessel of God's hidden plan The nails entered his flesh and the striped covered his back The crown pierces brow yet what appeared to be weakness was actually divine strength What appeared to be defeat was actually victory and motion His body was carrying everything necessary for our restoration So when you take the bread remember this Jesus carried his body everything that was keeping you from the father He carried your burden your burden so you could carry his presence He carried your brokenness so you could receive his wholeness. He carried your curse So you could walk in his blessing So I want you to take out the bread Hallelujah And I want you to hold it with a heart of thanksgiving With a heart of gratitude It seemed like defeat But it was victory
Phoebe carried a written epistle, but Jesus carried living epistles Scripture tells us that we are living epistles known and read by all men and if that is true Then when Christ walked toward Calvary he was carrying us He was carrying every life. He intended to redeem. He was carrying every sinner who would become a saint He was carrying every son and daughter who would be bought Into the family of the father and that is every single one of us in here The one he planned the whole entire time to redeem to restore and to fill with his holy presence Amen, I want you to break the body And just partake and amen You may open up the cup Wow Do you guys know that when Jesus said it is finished he was using a Word That had a backing to financial payments. He was paying a debt that we Can never pay And there had to be Blood in it because blood equals life You and every single one of us in here our blood was tainted One sin equals death and separates us from the presence of the father And I want to go over this and when his blood was shed that hidden mystery was revealed Everybody say it was revealed the blood answered every accusation the blood cancelled every debt The blood silenced every charged against us the blood established a new covenant The blood spoke a better word Follow me and repeat after me here the blood spoke a better word than guilt
shame failure and condemnation The rulers of this age did not know what he carried the crowds did not know what he carried the soldiers did not know What he carried but his blood flowed from the cloth the cross Heaven's hidden plan was unveiled redemption was delivered forgiveness was released and Access was opened to the father So when you drink from this cup today Remember that his blood is proof That the delivery was completed that the debt was paid everything he came to accomplish reached his destination Every sin was paid for every sin Every debt was settled, every barrier was removed, and the blood declares what was once hidden has now been revealed through Christ, our Lord. Phoebe faithfully carried Paul's epistle to Rome, but Jesus faithfully carried humanity to the cross. His body bore the burden. But his blood sealed the covenant. And because of his body, his blood, we who were once off have been brought near to God. So as we receive communion today, let us remember the hidden carrier who became the revealed savior. Let us remember that what looked like defeat was actually redemption, what looked like suffering was actually salvation, and what looked like an ending was actually the beginning of eternal life. And this is eternal life, that we may know the Father and Jesus Christ,
whom he has sent, our Lord. And we get to taste eternal life here on earth as it is in heaven because of the cross, because of the blood, the holy blood that was shed for us to be redeemed. Amen. You may drink of the blood. Amen. Father, we just thank you. We thank you for your beautiful presence. We thank you for transformation. Thank you for the Holy Spirit that convicts, transforms, and empower every single one of us to continue seeking you and desiring you more than life itself, Lord. We thank you for the salvations today. We thank you for the beautiful word that did not fall on stony grounds, but it fell on good soil, for us to be transformed and to follow you with such zeal and passion, Lord. We thank you, Lord. Hallelujah. We bless every saint in here. We thank you that they're already protected. As they go home, they worship you and lift you up and continue seeking you and revealing you to others Monday through Sunday. We thank you, Father, for encounters that are gonna happen. We thank you, Lord, for revival.
