Walking as Both a King and a Priest

What's going on family? Welcome to course video number 11. We're going to be talking about how to walk both as a king and a priest simultaneously. So a priest hosts God's presence, but a king enforces God's dominion. I hope that, you know, after all these course videos and quizzes, you kind of get this already, but we're going to go deeper on it. So family, hear me on this. Too many believers choose between priesthood and kingship when God has never asked you to pick. He's called you to walk in both. Some will pray like priests, but not govern like kings. Some will lead like kings, but not having, you know, feed and pray. No altar like priests. Some carry spiritual authority, but no devotional consistency. So living like a king and not a priest. Some have devotional intimacy, but never occupy territory. So living as a priest and not a king. Priests minister to God, kings minister for God. Priests sustain presence, kings establish power. You cannot enforce what you have not encountered. So tonight we're going to talk about the biblical mandate to live from the altar and advance from the throne. So let's talk about the original design, right? The king and the priest. Adam was literally created to walk as a priest and a king. He walked with God and ruled over the earth. Genesis 1.26. Let us make man in our image, let them have dominion, right? Genesis 2.15. Then the Lord took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it. So before Adam ruled over the earth, he first walked with God in the garden.

Priests establish identity and kings establish and express authority. So Jesus is our perfect model of the king and priest. Jesus ministered to the father as a priest and to people as king. Revelation 1.5-6. To him who loved us, made us kings and priests, to his God and father. Hebrews 7.17. You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek. Jesus healed as a king because he withdrew to pray as a priest. Your authority in public is always determined by your alignment in private. So what is priesthood? We know about this already, right? It's a priest's first call, you know, which is to go and minister to God, not people. 1 Peter 2.5. You also living as stones are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices. The reason we're going over this so many times is because I really want you guys to catch this before finishing this course. Priesthood is communion, which is hosting his presence. Consecration, living set apart, intercession, carrying his heart. Priesthood is where you receive God's intentions before you enforce God's instructions. We have to catch this. Again, I know I've been talking about it all throughout, but we need to really understand this. It's first receiving God's heart on situations, his intentions, and then enforcing his instructions, not our opinions, not our feelings, not what we want, but what he wants. So what is kingship? Kingship is not a title. It's spiritual authority to influence, legislate, and enforce the will of God. Psalm 110.2.

The Lord shall send the rod of your strength out of Zion, ruling the midst of your enemies. So kingship is authority. It's I enforce what heaven already spoke, advancement. I occupy territories spiritually and naturally and responsibility. I lead as a representation of heaven. So kings don't beg for change. They command alignment with heaven. So how priesthood and kingship work together? Priesthood informs, kingship performs. Priesthood reveals God's heart. Kingship establishes God's will. If you operate as a priest without kingship, you have revelation with no action. If you operate as a king with priesthood, you have action with no revelation. People ask, how do you have the boldness you have? Simple, because I know I'm a king. People ask, how do you experience the presence of God? Simple, because I know I'm a priest. But I maintain or cultivate that secret place life, and I don't let anything take it from me, because I know that's where everything's birthed from. So again, priests receive orders. So I got to receive those orders from the Lord in prayer, in his presence, in revelation, meditating on his word, visions, trances, dreams. I get communication from God as a priest, and as a king, I execute them. Like this course right here is kingship. I'm executing God's instruction to help people walk in their God-given authority and identity. So what happens when one is missing? A priest without kingship is spiritual but ineffective. I've met people like that.

worship, seek God all day and night, but then you look at their life and there's no fruit of kingship. There's no advancing of the gospel, right? Kings take up territory, buying houses, buying territory for the kingdom of God, starting kingdom businesses, influencing the community, shining your light, working hard. If you're praying and fasting and reading all day, but you don't even have a job and can't pay your rent, you'll end up being broke. Spiritual but broke. Look at this kingship without priesthood, powerful, but dangerous. Why? Because you're able to move and get things done, but you have no revelation of God's will. So everything you're doing is coming from a place of performance, meaning you're doing it for yourself rather than doing it for God. And that is dangerous because that will lead you down the wrong path. The enemy will swoop you. So both together, revival with structure, anointing with strategy and flame with foundation. In Zechariah 6, 13, he shall be a priest on his throne. So speaking about Jesus and the council of the peace shall be between them both. Priesthood without kingship leads to fire with no direction and kingship without priesthood leads to direction with no fire. So how can we walk this out daily? Like a practical way to walk this out. You walk as a priest. When you prioritize the seeker place, intimacy is number one here before you lead and protect purity. We spoke about purity already. You walk as a king. When you make decisions in alignment with heaven, execute strategy and steward influence well.

Very important when God gives you influence that you steward it. Before you make a decision as a king, kneel as a priest. So five steps to walk as both daily. Number one, enter your seeker place knowing that you're a priest and exit with instructions as a king. So when I enter the seeker place, I know number one, the father's waiting for me. I know number two, I'm going to get instruction. I'm not leaving without getting something from God. And number three, when I do leave, I'm executing something. All right. Step number two, write down the revelation and convert it into strategy. So when I get downloads, when I get revelation, when God's speaking to me, I jot it down in my notes on my phone. I organize it, whether it's the word for the week, because God will give me a word for the week for his people. I have to execute as a king, whether it's instructions from my family, instructions from my finances, instructions for these courses, for music, whatever it is, God's going to give me instruction and I convert it into strategy, getting scripture, praying on it and thinking about it. But I already have the foundation, which is the communication from heaven. Step number three, step three, pray for clarity and plan with authority. So I pray for clarity, but I plan with authority. So God might give you a word. For example, he might say, I want you to go evangelize in downtown Orlando Saturday at 10 PM. Okay. He gave me that instruction, but that's all I got. Now I need a plan with authority. So now I'm thinking with using wisdom, the wisdom that God has given me, who do I need to go with?

How are we going to go? Do I need an armor bearer, a bodyguard, someone to walk with me? Do I need to do, how should I address? Now I'm dialoguing with the Holy Spirit and using wisdom to plan with authority. So I pray for clarity. I get the word of the Lord and I plan with authority, priest and kingship. Number four, a fourth step, minister to the Lord before ministering to people. So again, me preaching, if I go preach, but I haven't had secret place time, I'm ministering from an empty cup. I'm supposed to be ministering from overflow. All preaching should be prophetic. Teaching should be prophetic. It should not be carnal. It should not be letter. It should be spirit, which gives life. So when I preach and teach the word, I love the scriptures, but I come with revelation straight from the throne. As I'm preaching, I get revelation because I've been with him. It's supposed to be prophetic. Number five, check your heart as a priest before checking your team as a king. That's that saying, right? Check the log in your own eye before you judge your brother's spec. So not just checking the team, but also checking my heart. A lot of things that I bring to the leadership team for breakthrough and just things we're going to grow in, God shows me first and then I show them from experience. You can't lead the room if you haven't first bowed before the throne. All right? What's the fruit of a king priest lifestyle? Clarity and assignment, authority without pride, consistency and holiness, spiritual boldness and movement without burnout.
