Speaking of which, Victoria family, listen, Pastor Mo, I'm very excited to have the opportunity for all of us to meet in this forum. And if you're wondering, the reason we're in this format in particular is because we're all at home. Due to the bad weather, we decided to act with caution for everyone's safety. It's a special moment for me. Because as we're finishing our 21 days of prayer and fasting, we have the opportunity to talk a little bit about that. But I have the honor of being able to do this with our founding pastor, Pastor Danas. How are you today? I'm great. Ready to talk about prayer today. This is incredible. At the beginning of the 21 days of fasting and prayer, at the end of the 90s, we weren't in this building. It wasn't even built. And I remember that at that time, in fact, we decided to do it live. Everyone came to church at 6 in the morning. At what time? At 6 in the morning for 21 days. And we had about 200 people coming by car every morning for 21 days. And at that time, we were really fasting. We didn't eat any food. You were fasting. We didn't eat any food.

That's fine. But it was incredible. We made a great progress when we did that too. Well, I can only imagine that we made that kind of progress. And I think this is a very special moment for all of us. Because, in general, our plan was to get together tonight and really celebrate with zeal in all of our campuses. But we can't do that now. We used to finish, and that was the big celebration. What I want to talk about a little bit is, since we're not going to do that, what should we be waiting for? Or how should we end this? 21 days? Because for me, personally, it has been transformative. For me, it has been something where I have immersed myself in seeking the Lord. I think this allows us not only to have a moment that ends, even if it's good. This gives us an opportunity to adopt a fasting lifestyle. Well, I think a lot of people don't realize the power of prayer accompanied by fasting. They don't realize that when you fast, that adds something to your prayer. It's a different dimension of prayer, where you're consecrating and submitting your flesh in a severe way. Let's be honest. Our appetites are strong, and most people don't spend more than a few hours without eating. Spending a few days without food is difficult.

Or simply reducing whatever you're doing. We've discovered that in prayer with fasting, with the passage of time and by getting used to your body, you achieve clarity with the Holy Spirit that you didn't have before. And we always want to be very clear with the Holy Spirit. What are you telling me? What are you guiding me to do? And the idea behind the prayer accompanied by fasting is that you want to cleanse yourself. You want to purify yourself. You want to enter the new year with a totally new concept of God and who God is in your life. And what is He telling you? What is He calling you to do this year and in the years to come? And the more you calm your flesh, the more you'll be able to hear the Holy Spirit speak to you and give you that kind of direction. Wow, can you say that again? The more you, what? The more you clear your spirit. And that happens when you subdue your flesh, when you put your flesh under control, you know. In essence, dying to your flesh, and most people never do that, never experience that. And, you know, when you read the Bible, it's very clear that whenever, when Jesus began his ministry, he fasted for 40 days. The disciples fasted and prayed,

and Jesus said, You can't pour new wine into old vats. You have to have a new vat to be able to receive what God has. What I believe for everyone is that God has something specific for each person in a new year. And I always try to receive a good word for each year, and that's what I believe. God wants to give us a word for our year and give us direction on the changes that we need to make in our lifestyle. When you said that, you used two words very intentionally. You said prayer with fasting. Yes. And for us, now that we are in this season, it has been a privilege that we have had many conversations these last eight years here in the golf course. You always talk about the importance of prayer, and I have learned a lot from the principles that you put into practice. Pastor Fundador, tú y la pastora Kaleen. En el versículo cuatro, dice, Permanezcan en mí y yo permaneceré en ustedes. Porque una rama no puede dar fruto si se separa de la vid. Y ustedes no pueden dar fruto a menos que permanezcan en mí. Y el Señor comenzó a mostrarme, dijo, La razón por la que tantas personas luchan con Dios es porque no permanecen en Dios. No tienen una presencia constante con Dios a diario. Y aquí es donde entra la oración, Soy la vid, ustedes las chamas. Quien permanece en mí y yo en él, dará mucho fruto. Eso buscamos. Queremos producir fruto. lo que queréis y os será concedido. Ahora quiero que pienses en eso por un momento. Todos los que nos están viendo en línea, si permanecen en él, permanezcan en él y su palabra permanezca en ustedes. No sé cómo. Es complejo. Eso parece demasiado para una sola persona. Me levanté y dije, madrugaré y estaré contigo. Antes que todos despierten, noté que Jesús siempre madrugaba más que el resto. Me levantaba temprano para caminar y orar durante una hora cada mañana en la escuela bíblica. Oraba por lo básico para mi familia y también por esta iglesia. El tipo de líderes que íbamos a necesitar, el equipo de alabanza, todas las personas que ves ahora, creo que todo comenzó con la oración. Cuando finalmente llegamos a Atlanta, hubo dos años constantes haciendo eso. Cuando llegamos a Atlanta, tenía una gran expectativa de que Dios iba a hacer algo mucho más allá de nuestras capacidades naturales. Con el tiempo, vimos a Dios obrar. Superamos lo posible con nuestras propias habilidades. Lo que aprecio y siempre he apreciado de ti es la actitud de humildad, entendiendo que la oración tiene que ser lo que realmente da a luz las cosas antes de que realmente las vea suceder. Así que teníamos que salir de ese edificio, pero no teníamos a dónde ir. Y este edificio de aquí supuestamente ya estaba bajo contrato de arrendamiento con otra persona. Y dijimos, señor, sabemos que este es el lugar. Rodeamos el edificio siete veces y esa semana el agente inmobiliario llamó. La empresa interesada se echó para atrás. Waffle House te lo alquilará para que incies la construcción. Y así es como llegamos aquí. Y luego avanza rápido. Unos años más tarde estábamos en una oración del sábado por la mañana en el antiguo edificio y después de que la oración terminó, tuve un hábito. De caminar hasta aquí en la propiedad. Se trataba simplemente de un gran terreno que estaba siendo utilizado. Waffle House lo iba a utilizar para su futura ampliación, agrandando así sus almacenes. Y ya nos habíamos acercado a ellos varias veces para comprar este terreno. Eran 22 acres. Dijeron que era su futura expansión. Camino por esta tierra rezando, porque

estamos en un punto donde el edificio nos quedó pequeño. Teníamos 2,100 personas en ese pequeño edificio allí abajo. No pudimos crecer más. Y el Señor me dijo, esta es tu tierra. Y había una colina en medio de la tierra. Y él dijo, sube a esa colina. Y había un pedazo de, había como un palo allí. Y él dijo, toma ese palo y clávalo en la tierra y reclama esta propiedad para Dios. Y así lo hice. Parezco un tonto. Coches pasan. Si hubiera cámara oculta. Oro ante Dios. Solo somos Dios y yo. Y tengo el palo clavado en la tierra. Y el Señor dijo, esta es tu propiedad. Entonces, al día siguiente llamé a la gente, roommate de Joe Rogers, fundador de Waffle House. Y dije, pregúntales de nuevo por el terreno. Y es dentista. Ya les he preguntado esto. Dijeron que no tres veces. Dije, vuelve una vez más. Uno. Más tiempo. Dije porque sí. Creí que algo cambiaría. A los dos o tres días, recibo su llamada. Es el dueño de la Vista Properties. Y él dice, Dennis, no conozco a este Dios al que sirves, pero creo que existe. Dios mío, escucharon eso? Así que solo quiero que sepan que nada es imposible para Dios. Las cosas que Dios está poniendo en tu corazón, las cosas que realmente van de acuerdo con la visión que dice la Palabra, en realidad puedes hacerle una demanda si está fundamentada en la Palabra y haces esa demanda en oración. Así es. Eso está muy bien. Ahora, cuando hablas de eso, me lleva a otro pensamiento del que incluso el Pastor Johnson habla mucho. Recuerdo cuando llegué a la iglesia y conversaba con él y me decía esto seguido. Nuestro pastor en ese entonces, tú eras el pastor principal en ese momento. Si había algo por lo que sentías pasión, eran las almas. Era ir radicalmente tras las almas con el espíritu de evangelismo.

We have shared a story over the years that I think we need to hear right now. Now, God has given us property. Now He is filling it. He takes the step and enters into him. He is the one who starts. He does not wait. He simply takes the initiative and then what? And he waits for God to act. And I have learned that I think I like the way of Joshua. I think I know about you. We had one before the corporative prayer. We were about to move, but we were still in the other building. And then on Saturday mornings, I would come and pray alone. I didn't know. I didn't realize how important it was to gather people to pray at that time. So I would just pray. And then I would go to study and get...

Meh. One afternoon, I just fell asleep here. And then I wake up in a kind of dream state and I'm talking to the Lord, lying on the back of the stage. And the carpet is a blue carpet. It's on the stage and on the floor. It was at the time when we had carpets everywhere. And I hear the Lord speak to me and He says, What do you want? And I start to ask the Lord. Receiving in the church. And the Lord said, I'll never forget it. It was so unexpected. He said, I don't want you to stand up. I want you to remain humble. I want you to remain low, stuck to the floor, but wherever you go. He says, I want you to pray for me so that you can fill this place with people. So I said, How am I going to do that? And I realized that the only way to do it is by rolling. I have to roll to get there. So, Wow, let's go now. Wow. Wow.

Wow. Wow. Wow. Me estoy poniendo un poco emotivo ahora mismo, ¿en serio? No es de sorprender, porque ya te he escuchado contar esta historia antes. Porque todo lo que ves sucediendo en los servicios del fin de semana es realmente un subproducto de lo que ocurre en la oración. Y eso fue lo que empezamos a hacer. Comenzamos a orar por los servicios. Comenzamos a orar por la visión. Comenzamos a orar por cualquier cosa grande que Dios nos dijera que oráramos. Y con el tiempo llegamos a 100 personas, luego a 200 personas, y un poco más en ocasiones especiales. Y el Señor dijo, esto no es algo que puedas delegar. Tienes que estar ahí cuando estés en la ciudad.

Tienes que estar ahí sin importar lo cansado que estés, sin importar lo tarde que te hayas acostado el sábado por la noche. Tienes que estar presente. Y hubo veces en las que me levantaba y apenas podía llegar aquí. Pero recuerdo todos los avances que vimos suceder en la iglesia como resultado de esa oración. Hubo un tiempo que por COVID no se pudo. Y luego, cuando Johnson y Samber decidieron, reiniciemos la oración del sábado, como ellos dicen, vimos que la victoria regresó con fuerza. La unción aumentó en la iglesia. Ellos lideran. También vengo los sábados. También vengo los sábados. Pero una de las cosas que quiero decir es que muchos de nuestro personal, tú, Kendra, Darius, Melba, donde comencé a notarte fue en la oración. Y cuando vi que ustedes venían constantemente a orar, fue entonces cuando me di cuenta. Estas son personas con las que puedo hacer ministerio. ¿Por qué? Quiero darles un desafío para que no permitan que solo otra persona lleve la carga de la oración. Porque en la oración del sábado por la mañana en Midtown es lo que llamamos la hora de poder. Y lo digo a menudo, digo que nada significativo sucede sin oración. Nada significativo sucede sin oración. Primero, nunca he ido a una oración del sábado por la mañana o comida de Hamilton. And before I do that, I want to tell all of you who are watching us, some of you may be in a moment in which you simply are not where you would like to be with Jesus. The Bible says that we must examine ourselves and look inward before taking the elements of communion. So let's take a moment, close your eyes and consider how your relationship with God is at this precise moment. And if Jesus really is or is not on the throne of your heart, and if he is not, this could be an opportunity for you, even online, to pray and receive Christ in your life so that you can, asking God to cleanse you, so that when you receive communion, you do it with a clean heart and conscience. Let us pray now to receive Christ and then to be communicated. So let's say it together out loud. Father, in the name of Jesus, I repent of my sins and I ask you, God, to remove all things from my wounds. I believe in you, Jesus. I believe that you are the Lord and you are the Savior, that you died on a cross. You rose from the dead. Now you come to my heart, you expel all darkness and you replace it with your love. This is the best decision you will make in your life. There is nothing more important than that. No relationship on this earth compares to your relationship with God. So we want to encourage you to take the next step after that. And you will see, as you move forward and come to the church, that this walk with God will make your life never be the same again. So let's take communion. If you have grape juice at home or something similar, look for it with a little bread. I'm going to take a moment to talk about this while you prepare for communion. And this is what Jesus was talking about. He says that when you take and eat this, you do it in memory of me. And Paul would say it this way, You know, first you take the bread, and the bread is the broken body of Jesus Christ. So I'm going to take this bread. Let's take it together. Mo, let's take the bread in our hands. Paul wrote it this way. He said, The reason why so many people are sick and weak among us is because they take and eat the bread in an unworthy way. They don't realize what this really means. The bread is the body of Christ that was broken before even going to the cross, so that you could be healed. So, if you need healing in your body, Jesus is Jehovah Rapa. He is the Lord. He will heal you. Let us pray for the bread as we receive it. I pray for your health. So let us pray, Father, in the name of Jesus. I pray for all who are watching this, especially for those who may be sick among us, those who may have some kind of ailment in their body. He sent the word of God to their body right now. We send it to their body. We thank you, Lord, because you took our sicknesses, you took our ailments. By your wounds we are healed, and we take this bread in our body as a symbol of remembrance of the healing power of Jesus, of the restoration of our body. And we thank you for everything you have done in the name of Jesus. You may take the bread. Now, in the same way. He took the cup and said, This cup is my blood that I will pour out for the forgiveness of your sins. Now, I don't know about you, but there is nothing more liberating than knowing that God has forgiven our sins. Absolutely. There is no sin that God does not forgive, except the sin of unbelief. And if you believe in Jesus, that means that whatever sin you have committed, Jesus will forgive you. And that is the beauty of the cup. Basically, we are. We believe that the blood of Jesus has the power to cleanse us of our past and give us a completely new future. So let's pray again. Father, thank you for this cup. Thank you for the fact that you poured your blood on the cross for our sins.

You carried our sins on your body so that we could be made just. And so I pray for each one of us as we prepare to drink this cup. Let us do this in memory of what you did on the cross through your spilled blood. Thank you for the forgiveness of our sins. Thank you for the cleansing of our past. And thank you for making us just before you. In the name of Jesus, you may drink the cup. Thank you, Pastor. Thank you, Mo. We hope to see you all next weekend.
