And they are celebrating this, and in the process they are remembering what God has done for the people of Israel. While he initiated them on this journey to the Promised Land, now they are here in Israel, but before the Promised Land they are celebrating the journey from Egypt to Israel and everything that God had done in the entire life of the Jewish people. Now I don't understand it. I really don't understand it completely, but God chose the Jewish people to show His incredible grace and mercy to people who did not always respond in the right way to God. How many of you can recognize that sometimes we don't always respond correctly to the ways of God? Israel was a people that God put His hand on and chose them. We did not choose them, He chose them. And He said, if you bless them, I will bless you. If you curse them, I will curse you. So God put His hand on them and protected them from all enemies and finally allowed them to reach the Promised Land where they would settle. And that is where they are now. But they had gone away from God. They had returned to an old religion, dead and dry. They had returned to worldly paths, carnal paths. And all they did in that moment of their life was that they knew about God, but they did not have a personal relationship with God. They had not had an encounter with God. And Jesus appears on the scene and they see Him do all these miracles. And they see Him heal the sick, resurrect the dead, and all the different things that He was doing.

And now He is about to do a miracle that they had never seen before. In fact, the miracle that He is about to do now is the only miracle in the four Gospels that is mentioned in the four Gospels. So that must be important. There must be a reason why we see it in the four Gospels. So let's see what it says that is happening. So when Jesus looked up and saw the great crowd coming towards Him, He said to Philip, Where shall we buy bread? So that these people may eat. Now you must notice that there is a key word here. Bread. And we will come back to that in a minute. Because bread means much more than physical bread. He asked this just to prove it, because he already had it in mind. What He was going to do. He had a plan. There was a plan in the mind of God. Philip answered him. You would need half a year's salary to buy enough bread for each person to eat a bite. And another of his disciples, Andrew, the brother of Simon Peter, intervened. Here is a boy with five loaves of bread and two small fish. But what is this for so many people? And Jesus said, Let the people sit down. There was a lot of grass in that place and everyone sat down. There were about 5,000 men there. Then Jesus took the breads, gave thanks,

and distributed them among those who were sitting, giving them everything they wanted. And He did the same with the fish. And basically He gave them everything they could take, everything they could eat. He filled their stomachs. When everyone was satisfied, He said to His disciples, Collect the leftover pieces so that nothing is wasted. So they collected them and filled twelve baskets with the pieces of the five loaves of bread that were left over from those who had eaten. After the people saw the sign that Jesus had made, they began to say, Surely this is the prophet. What must come to the world? Jesus, knowing that they were trying to come and make Him king by force, He withdrew alone again to the mountain. So let's take a break for a moment. Let me analyze this a little. What is He saying here? He is saying in the Scriptures, what John is recording is this great miracle where God multiplies the breads and the fish. If you have been a Christian, or even if you have ever read the Bible, you have seen that before. You have seen how God does that. In the process, He is revealing truths that are much more profound

than just multiplying the fish and the breads. But people have not yet understood that. They are just very excited because they saw a miracle. We are all excited to see a miracle. But this miracle impacted them a lot because many were poor. Many of them did not have much. The bread of Sheba, the bread of Sheba was the bread of the poor. It was the poorest bread they had. It was a representation. of how much God cares for poor people. How many of you understand that God cares for poor people? And I think that sometimes in our personal prosperity we forget about the poor. We forget the difficult situation of the poor and the suffering that occurs on earth. As a result, sometimes we move away from the reality of what happens around us. Now we are facing financial challenges and there is an active war. We have an economy that is really tensed. We see that prices are rising like the price of gasoline and we understand it. We know that these things are going to happen. The Bible says that before the coming of the Lord it will even get worse. Many more things are beginning to happen. It really is a time and a season to get closer to God. But many people are moving away

by focusing only on their problems, on their stress, and on their difficulties. A big reason for stress is not having enough to pay the bills or to take care of yourself. This is how many people lived in this state and now they see this miracle. So the first thing they do is think for themselves. This man is a prophet sent by God. But instead of seeing him as Jesus, the Lord, the King of Kings, the Sovereign of Heaven, they want to make him an earthly king. They want to make him, in essence, a political figure who would then take control of the Roman government and give back the days of glory to Israel. Make Israel great again, if I may say it this way. Now, that wasn't the point. And please don't think I'm criticizing a president or anything like that. I'm not doing that, but this is what I want you to see. This is where the church sometimes makes mistakes because it puts so much emphasis on politics and political leaders instead of who. The true King of Kings is Jesus Christ, the Lord of Lords. And they want people on earth to be like them, that the earth would solve their problems. They want the people who govern the governments to solve their problems, to make things better for them personally.

And that's why they put so much emphasis, stress, and faith in that, and not enough in the Lord. And Jesus knew it. They wanted to make him king so that he would conquer the Roman government, so that he would recover it, and so that the Israelites would no longer have to pay tribute to the Romans. But he didn't want any of that. And he went up a mountain to pray. And I'm sure he had to put aside a little bit of discouragement because people didn't understand the purpose of this miracle. They lost the moment. They were completely focused on the wrong things. Is it possible that even people in the church are focused on the wrong things? Is it possible that our focus is more on earthly things than on divine and heavenly things? Is it possible that our focus is more on people than on God? Come on, can someone give me a great amen? And Jesus is trying to make you see something. And there are three things that he wants us to see in this act. And I'm going to go over all three. And when I started seeing this years ago, it completely changed my understanding of God, my understanding of my future, my understanding of money,

and possessions, and all those things. And it showed me that if I can function within the truths and revelations that are revealed in this scripture, my life will take on a completely different dimension where I go from the man being my provider to God being my provider. Very good, so the first one is this. The first revelation is that when you follow him, when you follow Jesus, he will always provide for you. Not only sometimes, not all the time. By the way, he's not a half-time God. He's not too busy for you. He will always take care of you. Listen to me if you follow him. Now, a lot of people say they follow him, and their provisions are not there, and they don't understand why. God is not satisfying their needs, but the reality is that most of the time, in reality, they're not following him. They usually follow their own will instead of God's. And by following your way, this is what happens. I choose my own professional path. I choose what I want to do, and then I ask God to put his hand on that and bless it. That's not how it works in heaven. In heaven, it's like this. Be what you want, God, everything you want. I put my will on the altar.

Not my will, but always yours. Que venga ya tu reino, que se haga tu voluntad en esta tierra, en mi vida, como se hace en el cielo. Ahora, ¿cuántos de ustedes lo saben? Y si pasas mucho tiempo en las redes sociales, verás todo tipo de teorías conspirativas y todo tipo de personas diciendo esto y aquello sobre lo que va a pasar en el futuro. Bueno, déjame decirte lo que va a pasar en el futuro. Lo que está escrito en la palabra de Dios, eso es lo que va a pasar en el futuro. Así que habrá guerras y rumores de guerras, terremotos, todo tipo de tragedias, todo tipo de pobreza, todo tipo de enfermedades y dolencias locas propagándose por el mundo, en la tierra. Así que debemos prepararnos para esas cosas. Y solo nos prepararemos aprendiendo a depender de Dios y no de las cosas de la tierra. Si lo sigo a Él, Él siempre proveerá para mí. Ahora, yo pasé por este proceso hace muchos años. Tuve tantos milagros. ¿Cuántos de ustedes han recibido alguna vez un milagro de Dios? Déjeme ver sus manos. Ustedes han vivido milagros. Muchos de nosotros hemos visto milagros. Y aquellos que no levantaron la mano puede que ni siquiera hayan reconocido los milagros. Pensé en esto.

Eso tuvo que ser Dios. Ahora, algunos de ustedes en su mente natural dirán, oh, eso solo fue algo natural que pasó. No, yo no creo eso. Yo creo que Dios tenía su mano sobre mí antes de que yo naciera. Él sabía para qué me llamó. Él sabe para qué te ha llamado a ti. No tienes idea de cuántas veces Dios te ha protegido de cosas que te podrían haber pasado. Vemos tragedias cerca. ¿Te has preguntado por qué no te suceden? Porque Dios tiene su mano sobre aquellos que lo siguen. Él tiene su mano sobre ellos. Eso no significa que no vengan pruebas. Solo significa que en la prueba, Él te sacará adelante. Él proveerá para ti. Hace muchos años, pasé por un tiempo realmente difícil pensando en el llamado de Dios.

Y Él me estaba llamando a venir aquí a Atlanta para empezar esta iglesia. En Richmond, Virginia, pastoreábamos jóvenes en una iglesia que entonces era mediana. Y el Señor nos habló y no estábamos en una etapa de preparación para hacer eso. Dijimos Señor no estábamos listos. Lauren acababa de nacer y era una bebé milagro. Fue uno de nuestros primeros milagros. Pues los doctores le dijeron a Colleen que no podía tener hijos. ¿Saben que lo que dicen los doctores no siempre es ley? Vamos alguien. ¿Saben que Dios tiene una palabra más alta que los doctores? Sin menospreciarlos, pero ustedes saben que Él está por encima. Él sabe más que ustedes. Amén. Teníamos una bebé recién y nos preparábamos para comenzar este viaje como familia. Y saben cuando te conviertes en padre y en madre, las responsabilidades empiezan a pesar un poco más sobre ti. Se lo conté a mi pastor y me dio su apoyo. Me preguntó si ya estaba listo. Le dije que esperaría un año y me preguntó por qué. Le dije que no había ahorrado nada. No me he preparado para esto. Esto es algo nuevo. for me. I thought the Lord was just giving me an early warning, and this is exactly what the Lord told me. The pastor told me, you say you don't have enough faith to do it now. Now, I am an ex-athlete. I like challenges and competition. When he said that, my competitive spirit said,

yes, I can do this. So I went home and talked to Colleen. Colleen will sound crazy, but I feel that God is calling us to go now. And she said, but we just built this house and we just moved. We have to sell the house in a month and close the sale in a month to get to school on time. It will require a miracle. How will we do it? I said, I don't know, but I know that the Lord is telling us to start moving forward. We put up a sales poster for the owner in the garden. We didn't have time for people without offending anyone and we didn't want to pay commissions. We wanted the money. We used it for school. I went to work the next day. I prayed for that. I went to work the next day. At noon, Colleen called me. You won't believe what happened. I asked her, what? She said, we sold the house. I replied, if we just put the poster on for a few hours. She said, it was the first time I saw the poster. She came with an agent who asked, can I show your house? And we're not using real estate agents. He said, what if I get them to pay the commission? They pay the commission and I'll show you how. Your house is sold and you receive the total payment. She said, when you enter in less than 20 minutes, they wanted it. They bought the house, including the electricians, and they said, we'll close in 15 days. We're ready to close. Come on, someone. The Lord is a miracle God. So we packed up and moved to Tulsa to go to the Bible school. On the way, driving a big new haul, I wonder, has anyone driven a new haul? Of the big ones, of 28 feet, you know, towing a car. Me and then Colleen behind me in another car, driving behind me, and we're driving. And we get to Nashville, Tennessee, just in the rush hour, like at five in the afternoon, crossing the city of Nashville, and a big storm breaks out over the city. I don't know what Nashville has that attracts storms, but many storms have passed through that city, and we're driving through the city, and the rain blows on the side, you can barely see it, and I have my daughter in her chair, sitting there in the front seat. Now, you're not supposed to put children in the front seat, but back then, we did. We put them in the front seat, because in a new haul, there was no back seat. She goes in the front seat, and I had the windows down, no air conditioning. I have seen that not all the big churches in the United States are really good not even all their pastors a common theme in the big churches and leaders is that they have the gift of faith given by God it's not something they earn, it's not something they make it's where your faith ends and his faith begins and you begin to believe when no one else around you can believe God was trying to teach people how to believe that no matter where they go and even no matter if they are in the desert I will take care of you I will provide for you I will provide for you so you don't have to worry about anything if you only trust in me, I can do things that you can't do I can create amazing miracles in your life open doors and make your life sustainable and what was so unique about this was that the miracle was bread because they knew they were celebrating Easter they knew the history of Israel that when they went out to the desert the first miracle was that God gave them manna which was a form of bread from heaven he sent it to them daily and taught them in the desert on the way to the promised land to trust in him that's why we pray give us today our daily bread my bread of every day God wants you to depend on him daily not only once in a while when you need a miracle

and when you begin to depend on him every day you begin to realize that God is providing for me and he will always provide when you follow him the second revelation I received was that everything you give him, he will multiply now it was interesting think about this young man he was really the only one who came prepared no one else had bread no one else had fish they had nothing they simply went out following Jesus they enjoyed miracles they forgot oh we need food he will talk to us for a while so this boy had this bread and these fish and they took them away but he says he gave them to him I don't know about you, but would you give them to him? if you were the only one who came prepared hey wait, I came prepared I want to cling to what I have I am the one who has the food this is not going to serve anyone it is not enough but there was something in this boy again, a boy, faith who trusted his disciples enough to give him the bread and the fish

now what happened then was a real miracle he took that bread the sacrifice of praise the sacrifice of giving and he multiplied it back in his life I don't know if you understand the principle of multiplication that God not only blesses all of us to bless us he blesses us to bless others he gives prosperity in our lives so that we can share not so that we take, not so fast so that we can cling to what is ours and nothing else and protect our family and he teaches us in this principle that when you give to God in a sacrificial way when you give, even when it hurts even when it is difficult even when it means that you will have to trust in him for a miracle, he will take it and multiply it back in your life and once you start to live the life of multiplication you cannot stop the blessings of God that reach you you reach a point that is a very weak applause come on now, you know, God will do that when I saw this, the Lord began to remind me

No lo sé porque nunca he estado allí, pero solo puedo imaginar que es un poco mejor que aquí. Amén. Y cuando lleguemos allí, nos daremos cuenta de cuánto tiempo desperdiciamos enfocándonos solo en cosas temporales de la tierra. El propósito número uno del dinero no es para ti. El propósito número uno del dinero es ganar personas para Cristo. Te sigo porque eres Dios. Y te amo y quiero amarte con todo mi corazón, con toda mi alma y con todas mis fuerzas. Y también quiero cumplir el segundo mandamiento. De verdad, quiero amar a los demás tanto como me amo a mí mismo en todo momento. No puedo amar a los demás si todo en lo que me enfoco es en mí, en mi yo y en mi familia. Y pagar mis cuentas y conducir un auto lujoso y llevar una vida ostentosa. Si solo me enfoco en eso, he perdido el sentido de la existencia. Mi existencia no está aquí para eso. No nací en la tierra para sobrevivir.

La vida no se trata de posesiones. Y luego dice, y entonces le preguntaron, dijeron en el versículo 28, ¿qué debemos hacer para realizar las obras que Dios exige? Y Jesús respondió, esta es la obra que deben hacer. La obra de Dios es esta, creer en aquel que Él ha enviado. En otras palabras, tengan fe en que yo soy Dios. Entonces le preguntaron, ¿qué señal nos darás para que la veamos y te creamos? Y yo pienso, ¿están bromeando?

Acabas de multiplicar comida para 5,000 hombres y mujeres, 15,000 personas, y los alimentaste de manera sobrenatural. Resucitaste a personas muertas. Convertiste el agua en vino. Caminaste sobre el agua. ¿Qué más quieren? ¿No es asombroso cómo la gente puede experimentar los milagros de Dios y aún así querer más? Quiero más señales antes de creer. Siempre hay personas que me dicen, bueno, yo. Yo no creo a menos que él se me revele. Él ha estado revelándose a ti toda tu vida. Y simplemente lo has ignorado, porque estás enfocado en ti mismo en vez de en Jesús. Así que él dijo, ¿qué señales harás? Cuando vinieron a Jesús y él no había comido en mucho tiempo, dijo, yo tengo una comida que ustedes no conocen. Hay un alimento en Dios que no es comida física ni tangible. Es alimento espiritual. Se llama el pan de vida y el pan de vida es Jesús. Jesús es el pan de vida. No el dinero, no las posesiones, no las cosas de la tierra. Jesús es el tesoro de la tierra. Jesús es el gran tesoro por el que venderemos todo lo que tenemos para obtener ese tesoro. Y Jesús está tratando de captar nuestra atención. Y esto es lo que dice, yo soy el pan de vida. El que viene a mí nunca tendrá hambre y el que cree en mí nunca tendrá sed. ¿No te gustaría pasar por la vida sin tener nunca hambre ni sed? ¿Nunca tener hambre de cosas terrenales? ¿Nunca tener sed de cosas fuera de Dios?

¿Siempre estar satisfecho? Vamos, alguien. ¿Siempre satisfecho? Satisfecho, siempre satisfecho en la vida. La gente dice, solo estoy tratando de encontrar satisfacción. Nunca podrás encontrar la verdadera satisfacción fuera de Jesús. No existe. No hay nada en el mundo que te llene de tal manera que nunca tengas hambre ni sed. De hecho, mientras más cosas consigues, más hambre tienes de obtener aún más. Mientras más cosas consigues, más sed tienes de obtener más. Tu hombre natural siempre quiere más. Pero una vez que tienes a Jesús, tienes el tesoro del cielo viviendo dentro de ti. Ahora te has convertido en la persona más rica de la tierra. No hay. Nadie es más rico que aquellos que conocen a Jesús. Puedes vivir en la nación más pobre del mundo, en la miseria absoluta. Y si tienes a Jesús, eres más rico que Elon Musk, Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos y cualquier otro multimillonario del mundo que no tenga a Jesús. No hay nadie más rico que aquel que tiene a Jesús. Y a pesar de todo esto, cambiamos estos tesoros verdaderamente increíbles

por los placeres temporales de este mundo. Él dice, yo soy el pan de vida. El que viene a mí nunca tendrá hambre. El que cree en mí nunca tendrá sed. Pero como les dije, me han visto y aún así no creen. Todos los que el Padre me da vendrán a mí y al que viene a mí jamás lo rechazaré. Porque he bajado del cielo, el pan del cielo, no para hacer mi voluntad, sino la voluntad del que me envió. Y esta es la voluntad del que me envió, que no pierda a ninguno de todos ellos que Él me ha dado, sino que los resucite en el día final.
