quiet room to pray. Take one slow breath in... and let it out. Lamentations 3, verse 40. Let us examine our ways and test them. And let us return to the Lord. Notice the last four words. Return to the Lord. Not get your act together. Return, like coming home. Tonight's examine is a look at the road you walk today, and which way it pointed. First, where did you move toward God today? Maybe you prayed. Maybe you held your tongue. Maybe you helped somebody who couldn't pay you back. Find one step. Second, where did you drift? A sharp word. A shortcut. A day you ran on autopilot. No excuses and no beating yourself up. Let's see it. Third, if you could redo one moment, which one, don't replay it 10 times. Look at it once and ask what you'd change. Fourth, return. Turn toward him, right now, from wherever you are. That's all repentance is, a turn. Let's pray. Lord, I looked at my day. Some of it was good, and some of it I'd take back. I'm turning toward you.
