Nothing Can Separate You from God's Love: A Breath Prayer (Romans 8) | Evening Meditations

Settle in. Wherever you are right now, you can keep your eyes open. You don't need a quiet room to pray. Take one slow breath in. [MUSIC PLAYING] And let it out. [MUSIC PLAYING] Tonight is a breath prayer. It's the simplest kind of prayer there is. One short line tied to your breathing. You can do it anywhere in a loud dorm, in a line, on your bunk, and nobody has to know. It comes from Romans 8, 38, and 39. I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus, our Lord. [MUSIC PLAYING] The man who wrote that had done some of the worst things a person can do, and he says, nothing can separate you. Not what you did, not what was done to you, not the years you've been gone. [MUSIC PLAYING] Here's the prayer. As you breathe in, pray, nothing can separate me. As you breathe out, pray from the love of God. [MUSIC PLAYING] Let's do it together.
