This Is Who We Are | The Great 8 (Transformation Church)

Hi, my name is Michael. And I'm Bishop Gary. And over the last nine videos, our team has had the honor of walking you through who we are at Transformation Church. So what kind of church are we? We are a church that values crazy faith, being humble, open, and transparent, or we call it hot, progression over perfection. We also value worship, innovation, and generosity. You know, we're going to have fun and being a part. And the truth is, we're just getting started. Pastor Debbie and I founded Greenwood Christian Center in 1999. Wow. We knew it was going to have big plans. God gave us a vision to build this church in a way that showed us how to do what we were supposed to do. But we had no idea it would become Transformation Church as it is today. It's amazing what God has done. This house has progressed over the past few decades, but we know it doesn't stop there. God is faithful to complete what he started, like it says in Philippians 1, 6, and we are far from being finished. We are here by God's faithfulness because of the resilience of many. You are here because God has plans for you. You know, I think about it, Bishop, that I started out as the sound man at this church, like literally on the back soundboard, pushing up microphones saying, check one, check two. And to think that God had it in his plan for me to one day be on a platform declaring his word on those same type of microphones. It's really a testimony. If you're faithful for God places you initially, he takes you to great extent to do, to touch an entire world, which you have. You are a crazy faith man, because I ain't seen none of that.

I'm telling you, God is so faithful because he wants to take unique people and do unique things. And this is a unique church, just as no person has the same fingerprint, no church has the same DNA. Each one of us is designed for a unique purpose and each church is called to the mission of Jesus, but with a unique expression. So we want that expression from you. Whether you find yourself as a partner here at Transformation Church, or if God has called you to another church, we support and celebrate that. But remember, God doesn't bless who you pretend to be. He blesses who you really are. Transformation Church is a multi-generational, multi-ethnic, multiplying church, and we exist to represent God to the lost and found for transformation in Christ.
