The Truth About Who We Are | The Great 8 — Transformation Church

Welcome to Transformation Church. My name is Michael Todd, and I have the honor of leading our church along with my beautiful wife, Natalie, and my four children, Bella, Ava, MJ, Gia. I even think Honey the dog made it too. Our vision here at Transformation Church is to represent God to the lost and found for one reason, that's transformation in Christ. And we wanna welcome you to Transformation Church, your church. We wanna say welcome home and give you a little insight on who we are. Over the next eight videos, you will hear about what we call the great eight. We've taken time to investigate, not who we wanna be or who we think we are, but who we really are and the culture that we truly embody here at TC. We are a church that values crazy faith. We value innovation. We value being hot, that's humble, open, and transparent. We definitely value worship, and you know we value fun. We also believe in the value of generosity and the value of progression over perfection. What am I trying to say? We value you being a part. We will use that language, partner, instead of member. And I wanna let you know why,

because there's a bunch of places we have memberships to that we don't actually participate in. Come on, y'all remember Blockbuster? Yep, it's gone out of business, because a lot of us had memberships, but we didn't go rent movies. At this church, we do not believe in membership. We believe in partnership, because that means you're not just on the sidelines, you're active. At this church, we believe everyone has a part to play in the body of Christ. That's why 1 Corinthians 12, 27 says, and all of you together are Christ's body, and each of you is a part of it. You are significant to what God wants to do here. And today we are waiting to see and unlock the greatness that's on the inside of you and your family and your gifting, because partnership means ownership, responsibility, and participation. And at this church, the vision is that all of us are functioning to represent God, at our jobs, at our home, online, whatever you find yourself, your sphere of influence is the place where you're supposed to represent. And that's why the vision is priority and most powerful here. When everyone contributes, everything gets better.

And where people lose their vision, people lose their way. That's why the Bible tells us where there is no vision, the people perish. Today, I want you to know the vision here is strong and you are the newest part on strengthening that vision. God designed the church to function through collective engagement, not spectatorship. So I'm asking everybody to get off the bench and get in the game. So what action step do you want me to take, pastor? I'm so glad that you asked. Your pastor is asking you to make a commitment to watch these next videos. Not be distracted by what's going on, not scrolling while you're watching it. I want you to lock in. Somebody say lock in. I want you to lock in and watch the videos that we call the great eight. So you can understand what it means to be in partnership with God and Transformation Church. And I'm telling you, if you embrace the values that you're about to be taught, this won't just change your life, it'll change your legacy. Get ready to live a transformed life.
