Crazy Faith | The Great 8 (Transformation Church)

Hi family, my name is Michael, and today I'm excited because we are talking about what type of church we are. So what kind of church are we? We are a church that values crazy faith. I want you to say it with me, crazy faith. Some of y'all still didn't say it one more time, one, two, three, crazy faith. We believe God big. We do what seems small, and we see the impossible because it's only crazy until it happens. When I stepped into the role of being the lead pastor here at Transformation Church, I prayed and earnestly cried out to God because I had no idea what I was doing, and I knew I couldn't do it on my own. And because of the grace of God, he responded. As a matter of fact, he spoke clearly on March 9th, 2015. How do I know? Because I remember exactly where I was. I was in my baby girl Bella's room at 729 AM. How do I know that? Because I wrote this vision down, which became the vision of Transformation Church. What I'm telling you to do is believe what God said about you. This is a picture of that vision. I wrote down that the Spirit Bank Event Center would become Transformation Church, that we would have state-of-the-art facilities, that the internship would be year-round, and people would come. All of these things were written down by faith. We had barely nobody come into the church, no resources to do any of these things, but I had a vision that was bigger than my ability to execute, and I believe that's where vision is actually ignited. When it's bigger than what you see, what you can make happen, what's in your ability to do, that's when God does his best work. Because God specializes in exceeding our expectation, and faith requires action, not just belief.

Can I tell you a secret about crazy faith? It starts with small obedience. See, small obedience steps can lead to supernatural outcomes, and I started at this church as the sound man. Yes, at Greenwood Christian Center, I was saying, check, check, one, two, three, do you need more in the monitors? That was me. It wasn't about being on the platform, it was about being in position, and being able to see God use me where I was, and believing him to take me to where he wanted me to end up. See, I had no idea when I started out as the sound man that God had Transformation Church as it is today in mind. I had no idea that God had TC Worship in mind, and songs would go all over the world. I had no idea that God had you and your family in mind, and I would have the esteemed honor and opportunity to lead you in spiritual formation. See, the Bible tells us that his ways are not our ways, and his thoughts are not our thoughts. He thinks so much bigger than we do, and that's why we have to believe boldly in crazy faith. See, TC vision is fueled by bold faith, loud faith, audacious faith, and we call it around here, crazy faith. This is so deep to me because God has allowed me to be able to even pin this experience in so many different ways of my life in a book called Crazy Faith. It actually was my second book that I believe that could be a resource to you. It's available right now. Why are you saying this to me, Pastor Mike? Because some of you are about to make a big step forward, because the season you're in right now doesn't look like the season God's bringing you into, that there are new levels and new expectations and a widening of your tent that's about to happen, but that means you have to decide to live by faith. That's why Hebrews 1038 says, the just shall live by faith.

That's why at this church, we believe God big and we aren't done yet. The fact that you are here and that there are so many things still on that prophetic page that has not come to pass yet means that God is just getting started with us. Hebrews 11 one says, faith shows the reality of what we hope for. It is the evidence of things we cannot yet see. Pastor Mike, what are you telling me? That faith begins where your understanding ends. That means you don't have to get it to actually see it. I want you to take an action step. If there's something you've been afraid to do, a step you know you've been needing to make, a step that you've been vacillating on, I'm asking you as a part of Transformation Church to take a step by faith. Call that person, sign up for that course, open that bank account, write the book, record the song, post the video, change the number, write the vision and make it plain. Because God will never do for you what you can do for you. He always does what you could never do. This is the great God that we serve and it's why we believe him in crazy faith. What type of church are we? We're a church that values crazy faith because it's only crazy until it happens. Go out and live a transformed life.
