The Goodness of God - Part 25 - Testimonies, Part II

We're living in victory. The battle's won in victory. We've overcome whatever comes our way. You're working just to see. We're living in victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Hello, this is Mike and Sharon Kennedy with the Living in Victory broadcast. We're going to continue our series on the goodness of God. Hallelujah. He is so good to us. He is so faithful. So merciful. And He's got plans to bless you. Plans to prosper you. But we must do things according to His word, His way. Amen? We can't do it our way. We can't do it Sainton's way. We've got to do it the way He commanded us to do it. Amen? Well, the series is based on Psalms 34 8. Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good. Blessed is the man who trusts in Him. Well, we're going to talk about some things where some people have shared with us how they tasted and experienced the goodness of God in their life. We shared a few during the last message. There are so many testimonies. If you've got a testimony of how God has done something good in your life, share it with people. Send it to us. We'll share it on our broadcast.

Amen? Because the enemy, the last thing he wants people to do is to win, let alone to share it with people where it builds up their faith and does something to them where they step out and trust God and God gets the glory. So go ahead and make the enemy eat the fact that he ever tried to mess with you. Amen? That's right. Make him do it. Make him eat it. Regret it by testifying how God has brought you through. Amen? John 10.10 says, The thief does not come except to steal and to kill and to destroy. I have come that you may have life and have it more abundantly, but you must be a child of God to experience the goodness of God. Amen? Oh, there's water that lands on people that aren't serving the Lord and those that are. That's part of the goodness of God. But if you want eternal experience of the goodness, there's only one way and that's by receiving Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Hallelujah. Which I did. How about you? Did you? I did. Glory to God. That's wisdom. Amen?

Hallelujah. Isaiah 1.19 says, If you are willing and obedient, you shall, you will eat the good of the land. Well, I want to eat good. Hallelujah. I'm going to have steak here in just a little while. That's the goodness of God. Hallelujah. Glory to God. Well, Sharon, do you have any testimonies on your heart that you would like to share? Absolutely. You know, the Word says that we overcome the world by the blood of the Lamb and the Word of our testimony. That's right. You should testify. That's why we testify. The more you testify, the more the enemy tries to come up. It'll build you and other people up. And then you'll have more testimonies about how God has brought you through. Amen? You're in a fight. You need to declare the Word of God. He always causes me to triumph. Amen? You need to find a scripture that ministers to you and declare that scripture. Amen? My God shall supply all my needs according to His riches and glory. By the stripes of Jesus, I have been healed.

Hallelujah. Hallelujah. I'm redeemed from the curse of the law. That's right. Declare the Word of God over yourself and experience the goodness of God. Amen? That is right. Yes. Well, Mike, I have a sister who, a family member, sorry, that she was an alcoholic for over 20 years. And we had watched and watched and prayed and prayed. And, I mean, she would take alcohol and put it in a water bottle. Oh, yeah. Make it look like she was drinking water. Like she was drinking water. Like a good, healthy, good drink. Yes. And by the grace of God, she never, ever got into a car accident. Thank you, Jesus. That is the protection of the Lord. Oh, my. With kids in the car. Thank you for your mercy, Lord. Amen. And not too long ago, she called, and she had passed out at a fair and hit her head. And they called the ambulance, and they did a blowing of her, five BAC. And she's still with us. And they say that's death. Exactly. And so anyway, we were praying and she wanted to get free. So the Lord had us send her to a facility and she spent, she did not want to go. She, at first she wanted to go, but then she wanted to

leave. And after so many days, over a month there, she called me up and she said, I'm not getting anything at all. Not anything. I want to go. And it was a Christian-based organization. Faith-based organization. And I told her that there's no way I'm going to let her leave. She could sit in a room and get nothing, or she could make a choice and get whatever it was that the Lord had for her in the remaining four days. There was only four days left and she wanted to leave. And she chose to stay and complete it. And the Lord met her and set her free the next day. What would have happened if she would have just jumped ship at that point in time? See, faith is tied to perseverance, patience. Don't quit too early. Fight the good fight of faith until you win. The good fight of faith is one where you win. Don't quit until you do have the victory. Fight, fight, fight. Amen. We are supposed to be fighters. Oh, but I'm a lover. Well, you're going to lose. You're going to go down. We need to fight the good fight of faith according to what is written. We need to stand. We need to resist the enemy with everything we've got until we win. Amen. And this lady fought. She made a choice and she overcame. Oh, glory to God. She did. Glory to God. And she's working at a good job and doing so good today. Correct me if I'm wrong. She just got a promotion. She did. That is paying more than her previous job did before all these things. See, that is the goodness of God. Absolutely. And she's helping others. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. In that situation, she's reaching out and helping others. That's making the enemy regret that he ever messed with her. Yes. He's making him eat it. Man, I like that. Making him regret it, making him eat it. So don't quit. Don't quit. Thank you, Lord. If you're believing for family members. Yes, yes, yes. To overcome because if you're helping God's family, he'll help you. He who the Son sets free is free indeed. You may be a situation where you're on meth. It may be the fact that you're shopping too much. You're spending money you don't have. You're eating one too many candy bars. Don't look in my fridge. Too many cookies. You know, don't look at my desk at work. But if you want to be free of anything, you can declare it. No. If you take a puff, the Lord has set me free. I'm free from cigarettes. I'm free from alcohol. I'm free from lust, whatever it may be. Amen. And the Lord will help you. You start declaring that all of a sudden over time. It'll be like, I don't even like these things. And he will set you free. Amen. That's right. He will bring you up and bring you out. And when he does, he's got plans to prosper you. Just like he'd help this lady get out of the situation where she was drinking all the time, destroying her life, her relationship with her family, relationship with her kids,

losing her job. Amen. Potential of going into jail, killing someone. And it brought her through that and even set her in a place where she's got more income and a better job than she did before. That's right. That is the goodness of God. Hallelujah. Thank you, Lord. My, my, my. Now, some of the people we've ministered for many years, and there was a couple that we met over 25 years ago. Yeah. They were in the motorcycle world, in a gangster world. And when I first met the lady. Dear friend. She's, oh, I love her so much. She, she had said, you know, oh, I, she was drawn to Jesus. She had gone to a Bible college at one point in her life. And she was searching for the Lord in the midst of that world. And we just kept loving on her throughout the years. And eventually, you know, I asked her, I said, do you ever want to get married? And I guess because of her, her boyfriend's situation at that time, it was something that he didn't want to do. And I said, well, we can put our faith on it. Right, Mike? We put our faith on it. And we'll trust the Lord. God will give you desires of your heart. Exactly. You know, before we go farther, I want to point something out. Yeah. The Lord just pointed something out to me. You may have grown up. And went to church growing up serving God and got away from God That's right in the enemy wants you to stay there and you feel like you're worthless You feel like you're not worthy to go to church. Jesus made you worthy That's right. Amen. Don't live under Condemnation don't let Sainton lie to you Jesus will forgive you if you receive him and ask him right now and it'll be washed like you never Did any of those things don't live in that condition receive the goodness of God the mercy of God the Cleansing and washing by the blood of the Lamb that will make you pure clean like you never did Hallelujah worse as he forgets it as far as the East is from the West. Yeah, so the only person that's remembering it Other than the devil sometimes bringing it to your remembrance if you're keeping that thought alive You know all you have to do is cast that those thoughts cast those cares out over on the Lord and You got to have a bouncer at your mind Yeah Some of our friends say at any time that thought comes you cast it down and you throw it down and you say you know

What that's the old me. That's right the old me I'm a new creature in Christ and and that is not the same person as I am today There's eight items listed in Philippians 4 8 and what she's talking about is controlling your mind For those things right and if they're not one of those eight items You need to get rid of them not think about it the eights of Philippians 4 8 now I'm reading this out of the Amplified which amplifies it. It's kind of like it's got a lot more words in it But it says for the rest brethren Whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly whatever is just whatever is pure Whatever is lovely right? Whatever is kind if there is any virtue and excellence if there is anything worthy of praise Think on these things you can control what you think of right if it's not worth thinking about if it doesn't build you up If it doesn't edify you and other people you need to get rid of it say no I'm not thinking about that God. You are good to me. You are merciful to me. I'm thinking about your mercy I'm thinking about the plans you have to prosper me how you have Forgiven me for those things and you don't even remember them. So I'm not gonna remember. That's right Nor am I gonna let my friends and family keep bringing it up and throwing it in my face. That's right Amen, it does not move me. It does not bother me. Yep. I did those things. Glory to God Yeah, I'm clean from it. Amen. Glory Hallelujah. Amen. My my my and you go on keep serving the Lord not living under Condemnation where the enemy tries to keep you out of faith see Condemnation is a faith killer. We talked about how this message is based on Psalms 34 8 Oh truck Taste and see that the Lord is good blessed is the man who trust or his faith in him That condemnation will keep you out of trusting in him Which means it keeps you out of the blessings of God because blessed is the man who trust in him Amen, don't think about those things. Don't believe the lies of the enemy receive what Jesus has bought and paid for Amen, that's right. Well, eventually we would lead her and her boyfriend to the Lord And as a result of that We would end up getting to marry them at our house in Missouri And it was one of the most exciting exciting times of our life because it was 10 years After the day that we met yeah that we got to marry them more than that that same weekend

She got baptized in this man. Her husband's brother got baptized right with God in a hurry to go Yeah, and the first thing Jesus did before when he entered ministry is he got baptized and God said This is my son who I'm well-pleased after he got baptized and the last thing Jesus did in Matthew 28 28 he said go into the he said to go out and baptize right and that's what these people did So they started off their wedding with her getting baptized. Oh, what a great way to start their relationship Good and then as a result her husband at that time still wasn't saved and Eventually, he would come to know the Lord Yeah, and about 20 years after that. Well, what was it 10 or 15 years after their wedding day? we were we were in Florida and He asked to be baptized in my cup It was a national ranking Yeah, and that his most precious thing was his certificate of baptism and his Bible He would carry these little little plastic or rubber statues about this tall That was a resemblance of Jesus and he'd walk around and he would share Jesus He'd say everybody needs a little Jesus in him in this little Jesus But it was a his way of sharing and telling people that you need Jesus How do you don't be ashamed of the gospel? Amen. Oh people laughed about it joked about it But it was just a casual way of telling people you need a little Jesus And I've met so many different people from that realm that carry them in their pocket and things as a remembrance of him But they're carrying an example of the love of God the love of Jesus. Amen the goodness of God Hallelujah. Well, we were able to he went on to glory him and his wife are both in heaven Thank you Lord for allowing us to be a part My my my what if you're one of our partners You've got seed in the ground into their life and you're gonna meet them someday in eternity Thank you for helping us get the gospel out. Amen. That's right Well at his funeral one of the things he requested was for me to be able to share And there were over 200 bikers there different clubs. We know of five that got saved that weekend We've heard from others that have contacted us asking about salvation asking about baptism because of what these two Represented after they received Jesus. Amen. They were a light in that world. Thank you Jesus

My my my you know when it once testimony that comes to my heart is we had met someone he was a he was an enforcer of a chapter in a club and Mike and I had met him in Arkansas many years ago and We had ministered the Lord to him and at that time he didn't receive him but we would keep checking up on him and loving on him and He had called us and asked us to meet us at a meet him at a biker event in in Arkansas. Yep and We both were about five hours apart so we're meeting in the middle and on He's on his last stop. He gave Mike a call and he's so excited to see him I wanted to see my him too, man. He had a good some good news for us and on his way there He had a heart attack and his bike hit the back end of a trailer went underneath and 18 Wheeler And he met the Lord that day Well instantly He had given his life to the Lord and the reason he was so excited He wanted to share that with me. He is in glory today. I am so thankful for that Hallelujah. Amen. You can focus on how his life was cut short or you can focus on he's in heaven for eternity Hallelujah, right my my my in the chapter president of that club He didn't want anything to do with God anything of that nature Well at this funeral that I just mentioned we spoke at he's one of the individuals that came up to me and started asking me questions about salvation That's right. And I mean just divine Opportunities because you're not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ and God gives glory. That's part of the goodness of God Amen Well another thing that happened at that event, you know, things are a little serious It was on a weekend and we met the rest of his brothers and they were able to share with us That's how we found out that he got saved and they didn't know us So they weren't so keen on us being a part of the group. But as a result of their situation They didn't want to leave their brother behind

Mike and I because of our partners were able to put each of them in a hotel room Yes, yes, yes Thank you partner. I love on them during a really difficult time and And one thing that it was an opportunity Where we could minister the love of Jesus to him and that led to him. Yep Talking to Mike about Jesus glory to God, you know, I really I thank you partners For so went into us allowing us to go forth and minister in this realm Well, this is not where you're going to other churches taking up offerings We're going out into the highways and byways and loving on people and you've got a part of that and we appreciate it partners Thank you very much. Amen. Yes, you know that reminds me that this broadcast Thank you partners is going into over 400 prisons. It's going into radio stations throughout Southeast Asia the Philippines Japan South Korea North parts of North Korea into China and it's because of our faithful partners. That is the goodness of God. Because of you we're able to share this and you're going to get eternal rewards for people that you've never met hearing about the goodness of God and that is the goodness of God that you're going to get rewards for it. Thank you Lord. We're going to have some fun family when we get to heaven Yeah, I mean in prisons alone in the past 12-15 months we've had a million views, we've had 2,901 salvations. That's almost five people per day giving their lives to the Lord. If you need to receive Jesus you could be 2,392. You could be that person that has eternal life. Amen. You could be one of these people that we've shared that comes from the the biker realm. You could be a business person. You could be in a white collar job and know that you need Jesus. No, you aren't living a life of crime but you still do not know Jesus as your Lord and Savior. You say I'm a good person. Well, being a good person does not get you to heaven. It's only receiving Jesus. He is the way, the truth, and the life and the only way to eternity. If that's you, you can receive Jesus right now. That's right. You can say Heavenly Father, Heavenly Father, I believe, I believe that you sent your son Jesus, that you sent your son Jesus to the earth, to the earth. He died on the cross. He died on the cross. He went to hell and he went to hell. He paid for my sins. He paid for my sins. Lord, I ask you. Lord, I ask you. To come into my heart. To come into my heart. To be my Lord. And to be my Lord. To be my master. To be my master. My Savior. And my Savior. I ask you. I ask you. To forgive me for my sins. To forgive me for my sins. Receive me. And to receive me. Into eternity.

Into eternity. As a child of God. As a child of God. Hallelujah. If you did that, please let us know. Yes. We want to rejoice with you. Hallelujah. Well, Sharon, do you have another share that you'd like to share? It came on my heart that the only way you can miss heaven is by rejecting Jesus. That's right. It's not any sin, any other sin in the world that people want to classify as this one's greater than this one or, you know, sin is sin. And the only way you can miss heaven is rejecting Christ. That's why we continuously tell you the only way to get to heaven is through Christ Jesus. It's in the Word. It's a manuscript on how to live life. It's all simple. God knew we would be in a world and that we would have challenges, but He also loved us enough not just to send us His Son and the Holy Spirit, but also to give us the manuscript on how to live our life. That's right. Where is the scripture? Yes. That's why you need a Bible. Exactly. You need to get into the Bible and read the Bible and find out who you are in Christ Jesus as a new creature. Amen. Amen. Amen. Hallelujah. Well, it reminds me of another individual. He was an enforcer for a club, a tough man, solid man. You do not want him against you. And he was touched by God. He's saved. He's a man of God. And not long ago, he asked us for a Bible, but the Bible wasn't just for him. He wanted a children's Bible. What? This big tough dude wants a children's Bible? You know, wants some pictures. Yeah, he wanted a Bible with a bunch of pictures. Sometimes it's easier to start there. Exactly. But it wasn't just for him. There was a reason why this stout man wanted a children's Bible with pictures. I think he was a cage fighter. Yeah, he did that for fun. But he wanted this Bible for a reason. Sharon, do you want to share a little bit about why he wanted this children's Bible with pretty pictures? Well, his wife's daughter had a little girl, and they had ended up having her for quite some time. And he knew, being saved later in life, how important it was to impart the word to this three-year-old little girl, so that she would not have to go through some of the same things that he had gone through. That she could have a different way of living her life, and it be lived in the blessings of God. That's right. Hallelujah. So he got this Bible and started reading her Bible stories. What a way! to build a relationship with your grandchild hallelujah glory to god well you know that reminds me one of the goodness of God's things that the Lord has done for me was given me the ability to write a book with some other people's help it's called the the glorious life of faith and the Lord pointed out to me that this book not only is it about faith and a life of faith but it's about
