The Goodness of God - Part 9 - The Blessing is Mine
Brother Mike preaches a message about The Goodness of God on the Living In Victory Broadcast.
We're living in victory. The battle's won in victory. We've overcome whatever comes our way. You're worthy to taste the seed. We're living in victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Hello brothers and sisters. This is Mike Kennedy with the Living in Victory Broadcast. We're going to continue our series titled The Goodness of God. He is so good, so faithful, so merciful. We need more revelation, more understanding. We need to see better about how good He's been to us. It'll help people with mental issues, depression. When they see the truth about what God has done for them and what He plans to do for them if they fulfill the call of God on their life, if they serve Him. He will bless you. He will prosper you. We need to build our faith up and stand on the Word in these areas. Amen? Join your faith with me. Say, Heavenly Father, we ask You for understanding of Your Word. Clarity in Your Word. Not man's opinions, but precisely what Your Word says. That we can be doers of it, receiving all the goodness You have for us. In the name of Jesus, Father, I ask You to help me express Your Word. Explain Your Word. Ask You for light as even I'm sharing it. Teach me things, Father, that I can share with others. That we would all grow in stature, wisdom, understanding, and live in Your blessing. In the name of Jesus. Amen. Well, this is part 9. We're going to continue where we left off last week. I'm going to review just a little bit. The title today is called, The Blessing is Mine. I like the blessing. I want the blessing. I want it all. Amen? The good thing is, is He's got enough to spread so that all of us can live in the blessing of God. That was His plan from day one, is for the man, all mankind, to live in His blessing. The series is based on two verses. Psalms 34, 8. Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good. Blessed is the man who trusts in Him.
Or has faith in Him. You know, I hear people talking negatively about people that talk about faith. That means trust. If you don't have faith or trust in God, then I question if you're even saved. Because the words you said about Him being your Lord and Savior, and that you believe or trust that Jesus died on the cross and was raised from the dead. If you don't believe that, you don't have trust in that, you don't have faith in that, then you're not saved. So be careful not to slam people in things that you don't necessarily understand. That's when you say, Lord, teach me. If it's real, reveal it to me. And you put it on the shelf. Amen? John 10, 10 says, The thief, he's talking about Satan here. We're going to talk a little bit about the loser a little bit today. The thief does not come except to steal and to kill and to destroy. I have come that they may have life and that they may have more abundantly. Abundant life. Amen? Well, in the last message, we discussed the power behind the words that God spoke. Light be. And when God spoke the blessing upon all mankind. Let's review that just a little bit. Genesis chapter 1, verse 28. I'm going to read that in three different translations. The Amplified says, Then God blessed them and said to them, Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and subdue it. Have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.
This is part of the blessing. We're supposed to have been fruitful, not just have babies. Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth. Genesis 1, verse 28 in the Amplified says, Then God blessed them and said to them, Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth. Same words, right? And subdue it using all its vast resources in the service of God and man. God put things like oil on this earth for us. It's supposed to serve us. Amen? Genesis 1, verse 28 in the King James says, Then God blessed them and said to them, Be fruitful and multiply. multiply and replenish the earth. Subdue it, have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth." Think of this, the first words that Adam ever heard were words of the blessing. Go, be fruitful, multiply. That means to increase, have abundance in every way, dominion over it. Amen. Replenish means to fill it up perpetually, renew it, supply it, keep it full. We're supposed to use our words the way God did when he spoke light be. We are empowered to fill the earth, not just with babies, but actually to finish the work that God started. Basically what he was saying is, you go have dominion over it, be fruitful, multiply. You finish the work that I started. Just think of that. We're supposed to finish the work that God started on planet earth. You say, well, I thought it was finished. Oh, oh, there were still things for us to do when Adam was created. The garden of Eden was about the size of present day Iraq. You say, well, where do you get that? In the Bible. God gave us landmarks, river boundaries, in Genesis chapter two, verses eight through 15, where he showed us the dimensions, the size of the garden of Eden. Well, that's pretty small when you think about the globe and how big the globe really is. Now, it's small in the universe, minute little speck of sand. So why would God create the garden of Eden so small and the rest of the earth desolate? Because we were supposed to speak blessings over it, prosperity over it, increase over it. Amen. We were created in the image of God to be rulers. Just like he said,
we were when we're born again, we are supposed to serve the Lord of lords. Hence, God's son is the Lord and we are created in His image as lords, as well as kings. Amen. Serving the king of kings. We were commanded to speak the blessing over the rest of the earth. We were created in His image the same way, to be speaking spirits. When God said, light be, the power of light was released. And it's still producing today. We talked about this in the last message where the Association of Universities for Research in Astronomy, AURA, just in April of this year, 2026, April 12th, they released an article saying that the universe is 91 billion light years across. That's big. To give you an idea of what that is, it's at least 550 billion trillion miles across. That's bigger than I can comprehend in my little mind. And I got the mind of Christ, I'm smart, I'm sharp, but being that big. Amen. The observable universe contains at least two trillion galaxies and more stars than all the grains of beach sand on planet earth. This thing is big, man, and it's growing at the speed of light. When God said, light be, it's still growing at the speed of light. You know, we can answer the Big Bang Theory, and everybody that talks about the Big Bang, the evolutionists using quantum physics, and they know it, but a lot of these people don't want to admit that there's a God because then they'd have to submit to Him and admit that they aren't serving God. They want to be smart and wise, and yet they're not at all. Wisdom starts with the honor of God, the reverence of God. The theory of relativity was discovered by Albert Einstein that the earth is still expanding, and it still is. In 1929, Edwin Powell Hubble, where we named the Hubble telescope after, showed that the universe was actually expanding. Now they can see it expanding. They've got proof that it is expanding, just like God said, light be, is going forth. Physics has proven recently to physicians and researchers that the universe began as a result of an explosion. Oh, well, there we go. Big Bang Theory, right? No, we're talking about creation, not theory, not some wild idea, but what the word says as far as the word that was spoken forth, light be. They said it's a result of a massive explosion of electromagnetic radiation. Well, what is electromagnetic radiation? It's light. Amen. God spoke it and it happened. But why would God do this? He's sitting in heaven, has all these angels, these cherubs, things serving Him, bowing to Him. He wanted family. We are the family of God. Glory to God. He chose to develop mankind, to create mankind in His image as a family, to bless us. He gave Adam a wife,
Eve. You know, I chose my good thing because I love her. Now, she wanted me, but I love her. I chose her, right? We choose to love each other. True love doesn't fall in and out of love like puppy love. No, true love is a choice. Somebody asked me about divorce and I said, divorce in a covenant marriage is not an option. Now, murder maybe. I'm joking, obviously, but anybody who's been married more than a year, well, they've had a challenge. You may have overcome it, but don't lie and say you've never had a spat. We had a friend that was married for like ten years and they said, well, we've never even disagreed on a thought. That ain't true. God needed someone to love and He chose you. You may not see it. You may not believe it, but He created you in His image and He's a faith God and He's in faith that you're gonna make right decisions and fulfill the call and become everything He has called you to be. Just because we leave this earth and we haven't fulfilled everything, that doesn't mean that we aren't going to continue to develop throughout eternity. Amen? If we keep developing and growing in the things of God the way we are now for the next 10 billion years, oh my, what kind of spirit will we be? But see, God chose you, but He gave you a free will to whether or not you were gonna choose Him, to accept Him or reject Him. People reject Him every day and even when He's rejected, He still has mercy on them, still gives them breath. He still loves them. Amen? He said, I will give you eternal life. You just have to receive it. Whether you do or not is your choice. Do you want heaven or hell? To me, it's a pretty simple answer, but so many people reject it today. The Word says God is the God of compassion, of mercy. Compassion needed someone to love, to bless, to pour out His goodness on, His blessings upon. Amen? You know, there's marriages that are based on gold digging, looks, fame, and they end in disaster. I had a friend of mine, he was worth millions. He was a CEO of one of the top Fortune 50 companies. He recently committed suicide, been through multiple divorces, had a lot of money, but no peace, no joy in his life. I tried to talk to him about the Lord. He listened a little bit, but he was more into partying. Amen? More into driving his Bentleys and things of that nature, which glory to God, I got one on my vision list.
I'm not saying that's wrong, but seek ye first the kingdom of God and all these things will be added. Those cars rust just like a 1971 Maverick I had, all rusted out. It was actually my brother's, I just got to drive it. Compassion cannot be fulfilled with selfish ambitions. Compassion can only be filled with love. Amen? Think about this, the light God spoke forth on day one of creation, it's more than just a visual illumination. It overcame darkness. It was not sunshine, it was not moonlight. You say, well where do you get that? Well, if we look at Genesis chapter 1 verses 14 through 9, it says that the sun and the moon were created on the fourth day, not the first day. So what was that light? It was God's Word spoken forth. He is light. It was power coming out of him into the universe. Amen? It was the light of his glory. Remember in an earlier message that Moses asked to see God's glory and God said he would show him his goodness. Even just in a glimpse, a part of God's, the rear of God, the tail of God, his cloak coming back. Moses was shined so bright that even people couldn't look upon him. What would it have been if Moses looked at the face of God? We're going to talk about that. You see, glory was released, which is the essence of God. God is light and there's no darkness found in Him. None, not evil. Well, darkness is also evil. Oh, living on the dark side, living on the evil side. We're partying, man. No, that's not cool. That's dumb. I used to do it. I know how dumb it is. That's why so many people are in prison over it, have killed people drunk. I want to live in light because He's in the light, the goodness of God. John 1 9 says that the true light which gives light to every man coming into the world. That's Jesus coming into the world. God spoke forth Himself. But the end, the end, we're not going to have this sun either. We're not going to need the sun. We're not going to need the moon. It says in Revelation chapter 21-23, it talks about the life in heaven will not need the sun because the sun is there. We won't need a sun, s-u-n, because the Son of God, Jesus, is there.
Revelations 21-23 says, the city had no need of sun or of the moon to shine in it for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light. When God spoke forth that illumination, it was His power. It was His goodness being spoken forth. With one blessing, God gave man all he would ever need to become all He was created to be. All that He created you to be. The Marines may make say, we do more in the morning than most people do all day, and be all you can be. I agree. Be a Marine for God. Be all you can be. And that means you've got to take upon His Word in you daily. Amen? You got to fight the good fight of faith. Amen? We've not living up or taking advantage of all the blessings of God or the power of the blessing. The same blessing that was spoken to Adam was also spoken to Noah after Noah came off the ark. It was also the same blessing, the blessing of Abraham because of Abraham's faith. Amen? Abraham acted on the Word of God and it was counted to him as righteousness. Faith without action is dead. Faith without doing something. You say you trust God but you aren't willing to take a step that He told you to take. Your faith is worthless. It's dead. Amen? When God first spoke to Adam, Adam lived in a town called Ur which was a city of moon worshipers. Now the moon just sits there and goes around. Many of you are going around and around in circles because you're trying to worship things other than God. God will set you on a path. He'll give you direction. You won't just spin. Amen? Ur was a coastal city in Iraq near the mouth of the Euphrates and the Persian Gulf. Nothing but a desolate place of moon worshipers. The blessing wasn't on it and all of Adam's relatives were moon worshipers. But Adam chose to leave. He obeyed God and when God said go forth, I'm going to prosper you. Adam said
I don't know where I'm going. God said to go this way, I'm going to go that way. I take what I can on my back and I'm going to go. I am a child of Abraham. I am a child of faith. He's Father Abraham which means the blessing of Abraham. I have the rights to those blessings. Glory to God. I'm going to live better and better and better. You watch. I'm coming up. Are you? It's your choice. Are you going to obey God and trust him and rejoice in little things? And he says oh let me show you this. I got more. I want to do more for you. Amen? Well see in Genesis chapter 5 25 through 32 it talks about Jacob in Esau. Jacob was known as a trickster. Actually that's what his name meant. He was a trickster, a liar, a deceiver. He took the blessing from the firstborn because back then the firstborn were supposed to be spoken the blessing over them. He took the blessing from his brother elder brother Esau. You say that's not right. Well it is not right, but it's also not right that Esau did not value it at all. He had no value in the blessing, no honor of the blessings of God. This is the same thing that Satan has been after from day one when he was cast out. He got pride. He got arrogant. See within the blessing is the anointing of God. That's the power of God. The ability of God and that's what he wants. He wanted to be God-like. Amen? He wanted God to bow down to him because he's something special. No, he was a cherub. He's one of the three archangels that existed when God created heaven and earth according to Job chapter 38 verses 1 through 7. See, he's always wanted the blessing that man can have. That's why he tries to take out men and women of God. He hates them because they have the blessing. Amen. Lucifer in Latin means bright morning star which actually refers to the planet Venus when it rises in the morning. The three
archangels in the Greek means chief angels. They led ranks of other angels who were created to be God's ministers. Michael, you know, I told somebody today that the archangel was named after me. Well, no, that's not really true. My parents named me after him. Glory to God. But Michael is referred to by Daniel as one of the chief princes in Daniel chapter 10 verses 12 through 14. He's also referred to by Jude when Michael disputed the devil about the body of Moses in Jude 1 9. Gabriel, that's the third archangel, he appears to Daniel to interpret the vision he saw in Daniel chapter 8 verses 15 through 17. He also appeared to Mary, the mother of Jesus, to tell her she would conceive and bring forth a son and call his name Jesus. What a position. Satan had one of these three positions in all the universe. The cherubs, the archangels that came forth, they had special ability, special positions, but he wanted more. Amen. If he would have turned towards God and honored God more, God would have gave him more. God will give you more the more you honor him. 2 Samuel chapter 2 talks about that. Lucifer wanted the blessing. Amen. He's a fallen angel. He was cast out of heaven. What a position to be out of. And he's been cast out and he lost his place in eternity. And now he's going to spend eternity in the pits of hell because he wanted more, but he didn't want to do it the right way. And see, man is that way as well. Man wants everything now anyhow. Amen. They want it their way, the flesh way. Whatever it takes, just give it to me now. Give it to me. Amen. God will honor those who honor him. Amen. He was a fallen angel from heaven. Talks about that in Isaiah chapter 14, 12 through 15. He wants the blessing because he wants the power. He wants the goodness of God. He wants
to determine who gets the goodness. People say, well preacher, there's more to focus on than prosperity, than the blessings of God. You should be all about Jesus. Glory to God. I agree with that statement. All about Jesus. Amen. You see, let me explain what I mean by that. You think that you're saying that you should all be all about Jesus and I'm talking about the blessing? Well see, from a Christian perspective, a believer's perspective, if you know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, then from our perspective, life is all about Jesus. He's our merciful Savior. We'd be in the pits of hell without Him. Amen. His love, advancing His Kingdom, sharing the good news, that is exactly right. That's what we should be about doing the Father's business, just like Jesus said. Amen. I agree with that, but from the perspective of Jesus and from the perspective of God, from their perspective, it's all about us. If it wasn't, why would God have created us and spoke to blessing and then after we messed it up as humans sinning, why would He send His perfect Son to die on the cross and become sin? Not just sin, He became sin from all mankind and went to the pits of hell. We can't even imagine what that would be like. Not just, oh I sinned and I'm in hell. No, He became all sin for all mankind and went to the pits of hell that He did not deserve. Amen. He did it for you. He didn't do it for me, for Himself. He did it for you and me. He was already living in heaven. Amen. He already had abundant life. He chose, knowing what He would do, He chose to come here for you and for me. For mercy on us, so that we can enjoy life. to the full till it overflows until he comes back and gets us and then boom we're out of here living in the real true blessing without any sin, without satan, without his powers, without his demons.
Now that is the abundant term eternal life. Hallelujah. You know the blessing isn't all about you, it's not all about me getting stuff. No, there should be a wake following us. Amen. A trail of blessings following us. Glory to God. You know Reba McIntyre sang a song about the lights went out in Georgia and it was a song about a person who had sinned. They were unfaithful just like all mankind have been unfaithful to God but see whenever we sinned God had a plan B. Amen. I don't need a plan B. My plan is whatever God has for me but God had a plan B because he knows from the beginning to the end he knew that his creation would mess up so he had to have a plan B. Satan thought he outsmarted God when he killed satan but satan fell right into the hands of the plan that God had. See God protected the blessing whenever he whenever he sent Moses out whenever he Noah and there was still only a couple people on earth living. He protected the blessing. He didn't scrap the blessing as part of his plan. He kept it. He preserved the blessing and with the sacrifice of the seed of Jesus. The lineage would eventually produce devil crushing seed. Glory to God. He cooked out satan and he kept the blessing for you and me to have. Hallelujah. We're going to live in the blessing. Well my time is about up. We need to talk more about whether God had a second plan. No, it was really part of his full plan but he knew that man would make a mistake so he had to have an alternate path to fulfill the destiny of having eternal family. Glory to God. If you're not part of the family of God, it's a good time to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Say, Heavenly Father, I believe that you sent your son Jesus Christ
to die on the cross. He rose from the dead and is seated in the right hand of God in the heavens. Jesus, I ask you to be my Lord, my Savior. Forgive me of my sins. I receive it right now knowing that my name is in the Lamb's book of life. I have eternal life as a child of God like I never sinned before. Father, I ask for your blessings, your protection, your direction, wisdom, and help upon my life in the name of Jesus. Amen. Glory to God. Let us know if you did that, if you said that. Hallelujah. Have a blessed, blessed, prosperous day. Amen.
