The Goodness of God - Part 10 - The Blessing is Mine, Part II

We're gonna continue our series today titled, The Goodness of God. This is part 10 of the series, but it's the second part of The Blessing is Mine. It's yours if you receive it, if you take it by faith. Amen? This series is based on Psalms 34.8. Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good. Blessed is the man who trusts in him, puts his faith in him.

Amen? John 10.10 says that the thief does not come except, the only reason Satan even comes into your life is to steal, to kill, and to destroy. He's the destroyer, he's the thief, he's the liar, he's the father of lies. It goes on to say, I, Jesus, have come that you may have life, and that you may have it more abundantly to the fall till it overflows. Good life. Amen? See, Jesus went to the cross, paid the price so that you and I could live in the blessings of God. Now, the blessing does a lot. It heals you, protects you, gives you peace. It prospers you. Amen? And, after all of that, it gives us eternal life. Amen? Glory to God. See, Jesus

coming is part of the blessing of God. Glory, glory, glory. Every promise in the Bible is based on God's blood-sworn oath, His blood-sworn covenant to us that receive it. Amen? Join your faith with me. Say, Heavenly Father, we come to you asking you for understanding of your word. We ask you to make it clear to us what we need to do to live in the blessing, to live in your goodness, to see your goodness in our life. Father, I ask you to show me how to express your word in the name of Jesus. Amen? Well, the Bible says all the promises of God are yes and amen. That means we can take it to the bank if we do it God's way. Isaiah 119 says,

If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good of the land. We talked about that in an earlier message. In the last message, we talked a little bit about how Esau thought so little about the blessing that he sold it or he gave it away to his brother Jacob for a bowl of red soup. Now, the red soup, that means that it was no meat in it. It was eaten by the poor. It was a little bit of water, a little bit of vegetable in it, and maybe some lentil or something, but not a whole lot of protein, not a whole lot of just meat to it. Something to get by with. Well, God's blessing is worth so much more than a bowl of soup. But see, Esau regretted it later. Now, Jacob did some things wrong to get it. He lied. He manipulated. He cheated. He worked with his mom to steal it. But because of the goodness of God, because of Father Abraham,

amen, if you are a child of God, a child of faith, that means that you are a child of Abraham, who's the father of faith, and the blessing is for us, and we can receive the blessing, hallelujah, it's ours as children of faith, children of Abraham. Amen? We don't have to try to manipulate people. We don't have to manipulate God to get it. Actually, if you try to manipulate God, you won't get it. There's so much of that going on where people try to, hey God, you do this for me, I'll do that for you, man. You get me out of this, I'll do that for you. No. If you serve God with the right heart, then you can live in the blessings of God. But you've got to also stand and fight the good fight of faith. Because of man's flesh and weakness, God knew he needed a plan to ensure that his family would be saved.

would survive due to the sins, due to the mistakes that every one of us have made. Amen? Amen. Amen. God knows the beginning till the end. In other words, He knew that you were going to make a mistake. He knew that you were going to sin. He knew that Adam and Eve were going to sin. He doesn't want them to. He gave them the ability to resist it. But it did not catch him off guard when you and I sinned, nor Adam and Eve. So God needed a plan B. Let me explain what I mean by that. Now you and I do not need a plan B. We just need to know God's plan for our lives, follow His plan, follow His leading. Amen? If we're children of God, we're supposed to follow His Spirit. Romans 8 14 says the sons of God, the children of God, are led by the Spirit of God. We're supposed to follow the Spirit inside of us. Follow peace. Amen? There's a song that Reba McEntire sang the night the lights went out in Georgia. Before we talk about God's plan B, let's talk about when the light went out for all mankind globally and what God did out of the goodness of God, out of love to ensure that you and I can have eternal life in heaven. Hallelujah? You see, when Adam sinned, he did not let all mankind die and go to hell. In other words, God had and needed a plan B because Adam sinned. That sin was allowed into the world and because of that, Satan became the God of this world. So Jesus came as part of God's plan. Satan thought, well hey, I'm gonna take Jesus out. Look at everything I've tried to do his 33 years, man. I've tried to get him to do things. I've tried to get him to sin. I've tried to get him to turn bread rocks into bread and he hasn't done it. But man, what is going on here, man? I got him on the cross. I'm winning. I'm winning. Oh boy, I finally figured out a way to take out the Son of God and to take the blessing. See, Satan wanted the blessing but when Adam sinned, God did not scrap the plan of the blessing for you and me. So Jesus was part of the plan of the blessing coming forth and being maintained so that you and I can live in the goodness. He preserved, God preserved the plan himself on earth with the sacrifice of Jesus. Satan thought he won

but he lost as a result of that. See, the lineage of Jesus, his heritage would eventually produce devil-crushing seed. Amen? Devil-crushing seed. This is from the lineage of Adam to the lineage of Abraham through Moses, Noah, all of them. And it came down to the point where Jesus came and he crushed Satan. He brought him the knot. He's a big old loser, big old L on the top of his forehead tattooed there for eternity. God did this due to love. He sent his only Son to earth to die on the cross and become sin and go to hell. People have told people to go to hell. Jesus actually went to hell so that you don't have to. Glory to God. You may think you got the short end of the stick but if you trust God in his goodness, you will see the goodness of God in the land of the living. In other words, in this life, Joseph had some tough attacks on his life in Genesis. Think of this, he was sold into slavery when he was 17 by his own brothers. You know, I was kind of mischievous as a child. I threw my brother under a bus. Man, I'd let him take the whooping for me if I could. You know, I got right. I got some whoopings but I never sold him into slavery. I can tell you that. He didn't just get thrown into prison or abandoned. They sold him into slavery. Amen? But Joseph kept a good attitude. He got the short end of the stick. You think of this, Jesus knew the beginning to the end. He trusted the Father and he went to hell. If you don't know the rest of the story, you may think, man, here's a man that's perfect. Didn't do anything wrong and he got crucified and sent to hell. He got the short end of the stick. No, he chose to do it for you and me so that you and I would not get the short end of the stick but that we could live in the goodness. Hallelujah? Joseph, you know, think of this. He didn't do anything wrong in some of these situations that he went through in his life, but yet he ended up on top. He sold into slavery. In Genesis 39, it started looking up where Potiphar saw the grace upon him,

what God was doing with him, how he was working with cattle, how he was working with crops and how things were so blessed. So Potiphar trusted him. And under the blessing of God, the goodness of God, he had wisdom on growing these crops and cattle and prospering Potiphar. Well, Potiphar's wife thought Joseph was a good looking young man and she tried to seduce him. Evil. Joseph, he wasn't smart. He shouldn't have been in a room by himself with Potiphar's wife, but he still did not do an evil thing. He ran out, left his coat in there and it was used to misrepresent, to falsely charge him. So he was thrown back into prison again. You see, Satan wants the blessing. He wanted the blessing off of Joseph's life. He wants the blessing off of your life because see, that's the power and goodness of God. He wants that, not because he wants to serve God, he wants it for himself. He knows the power in it. Amen. See, Satan knows that sin will hinder the blessing from operating in your life and my life.

That's how he tries, why he tries to get us to sin, to make mistakes. That's why God hates sin. That's one of the reasons why I hate sin. Amen. It destroys the blessing of God in our lives. It hinders it from operating to the full so that you and I can come up and live in the goodness. Well, over time, because Joseph, because Jacob did not bow down and do some of the things that he shouldn't have done, he was restored. Amen. And because he was restored, Joseph was put over the kingdom of everything that Potiphar had in his house. And then during a famine, his brothers came to the land where he was in Egypt to try to get food because there was a massive famine and they were starving. And because of this situation, it was a setup where Joseph had the opportunity to either let his father and his brothers die, starve to death. He could have thrown them in prison. He could have had them killed at that time, but instead out of forgiveness, out of love, out of mercy and compassion, he blessed his family and God restored his family even after they did all these evil things to him.

Amen. God could bless Joseph because he was such a humble man and he did not get bitter and he lived in forgiveness. Amen. He lived in mercy, just like our heavenly father. Amen. Glory to God. There are different callings that require different graces, different ability, different finances. You and I will be held accountable by God for utilizing the gifts that he gave us. I can tell you, I do not have the gift of singing. You do not want me to sing, that's a joyful noise, but some people do. So I'm not gonna be held accountable for recording and praising, leading people into praise and worship from that aspect. I will be held accountable for making a joyful noise, but I have other graces just like you do. And are you using those graces to help God build the kingdom to reach out and tell people about the goodness of God? Amen. You have graces from God. God loves all mankind, but he doesn't have a covenant with all mankind. And in that covenant is the blessing. If you are a child of God, if you've received Jesus as your Lord and savior,

then you're part of the covenant and you have rights to the blessing. You just have to do it the right way. You have to trust God, amen, and not quit. God protected the covenant, the bloodline, which consisted of the blessing to the point when almost all human race was wiped out from the flood. He protected it through one man, Noah and his three sons. He could have started a new earth. He could have started a new human race, amen. He created it the first time. He could have done it again, but he valued the blessing. He had a plan on how to protect the blessing so that you and I could have eternal life. or life. Well Reba McIntyre's song was about unfaithfulness. All of us have sinned, been unfaithful to God who said be holy for I am holy. We've all done it. But you see if man had not sinned, you, me, Adam had not sinned, the Bible would be about two chapters long. He blessed them, told us to go out to build, to conquer, to multiply. And that's all that it would be. Other than that it would be acts of the goodness of God. But you see it started back centuries, millennia ago when Satan tried to overthrow the kingdom of God. He tried to coup. He tried to attack heaven. Him and one third of the angels. Well then he found out that he was kicked out of heaven and he knows the end of the book where he will end up in hell. Hell was designed for him, not for you and me, but for him. And that's where he's going to go. Satan wanted the blessing. He lived in a blessing before this and now he wanted it back. So he tried to get Adam to sin, to manipulate. Because when you sin you're going to submit to Satan and not to God. Amen. When Adam created treason, Satan became the God of this earth. And because of that God started his plan B. The second part of his plan for you and for me. And it's coming to a point in time where the end of that plan B will be finished. Jesus is coming back soon for those who serve him. If that's

you and me, if you don't know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you need to receive him as your Lord and Savior quickly because he's coming back. You may say, I've heard that for millennia. Well, God said that a thousand years is as a day. Okay. You may have a few more years, but either way, this life is like a vapor. Whenever I was 18, man, I thought I had a long life. Well, now that at my age, it goes by so quick. Let me tell you, you need to know Jesus today. Amen. If you don't know him as your Lord and Savior, you can receive him right now. Just say, heavenly father, I believe that you sent your son, Jesus Christ to the earth. He died on the cross, went to hell, paid the price for sin for all mankind. You raised him from the dead and he's in heaven. Jesus, I ask you to be my Lord and Savior. I receive it right now. I receive the blessing. I take it by faith. I ask for your favor in my life in the name of Jesus. Amen. Well, if that's you, please let us know. Amen. We want to rejoice with you. We'll see when Adam created treason, the lights went out. The lights went out on earth because Satan is darkness. He became God of this world. So the light of God departed. That's why he had to send his son back to die on the cross, take the keys to hell and strip Satan from all his power to make him a big loser. See when death entered, when God left and Adam sinned, that was separation. That's whenever man who was supposed to have life eternal back then, that's when death came in to mankind because of separation. Death means separation. And because of that, we've had to toil. We've had to work to survive, to live. Amen. But the plan of redemption began. Four days later, Jesus showed up. Remember a thousand years is as a day. So a few thousand years later, but God did not release the curse. Adam did by sinning. You and I have opened up the curse from living in our lives because of sin. But Galatians 3.13 says we have been redeemed from the curse of the law. In other words, we can serve God. We can resist it. We can fight against it and live in the goodness of God. Amen. God is good and there's no darkness in him at all. There's no evil in God at all. He is light. There's not even a particle of darkness in God. He is 100% good. It means that there's no trace of bad in him. You know, I'm a pilot. I fly jets all over the world, Falcon 7X now, glory to God. But when I was studying to become a commercial pilot, there was a lot of study we had to do and courses we had to take on weather, mainly focused on pilot weather. And during that study, we, we, we discussed something called absolute zero. Okay. That means that there is no heat present at all.

All there is in absolute zero is cold. It's as cold as it can be. Nothing could be colder than absolute zero because it's 100% cold. It's more than 450 degrees celsius below zero. Well, you see that is absolute zero, absolute cold. Well, God is absolute good, absolute compassion, absolute mercy, absolute kindness, long-suffering. Even though Adam's sin separated him from God, God, at that time, walked with him in the cool of the day, wanted to talk with him, wanted to fellowship with him, wanted to be a family with him. Amen? That is why God, whenever Moses said, show me your glory, he said, I'll show you my goodness and passed by. You see, when sin entered, darkness entered mankind. And if Moses was in the full presence of God as man who had sinned, the absolute goodness of God would have burned him up. Moses wouldn't have been here. It would have been a bad day for Moses, a dead Moses. But instead, just like on Mount Sinai, God covered himself with a cloud when he descended on Mount Sinai in Exodus 19 and Exodus 20 to give Moses the Ten Commandments. The same with Noah, the same with Abraham. Moses said to God, show me your glory. Thank goodness that God didn't show him his glory, but his goodness. Now, the goodness of God is part of his glory, but if he would have seen the full glory, we wouldn't have had the Ten Commandments. Amen? God showed Abraham his goodness by making him rich, part of the goodness of God. God's goodness made a way for you and for me. Psalms 145 verse 9 says, The Lord is good to all, and his tender mercies are over all his works. You say, well, why is he good to all? Because he's a good God. You may say that, well, they don't deserve good. People like Hitler, people that kill babies, they don't need

good. God is a God of mercy. They need to repent and receive Jesus, and he would wash them from their sins. That blood will wash away all sin if you repent and you truly have a change of heart and ask God to be your Lord and your Lord. Amen? Ask Jesus into your heart. Glory to God. Malachi chapter 3 verse 6 says, For I am the Lord, I do not change. Therefore, you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob. He doesn't take us out because he does not change. Glory, glory, glory. We need to be like our heavenly Father that changes not. Well, when I talk about that, I mean about the Word. We need to follow His Word and not change His Word. Every one of us needs serious changes. Every day we need correction from God. We need changes. We need direction. Amen? If not, we're eventually going to go into a situation where we're going to fall off a cliff. God's protection directs us to go here to there. He keeps us safe. Amen? Hebrews chapter 13 verse 8 says, Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. There is one thing that man's sin could not change. Oh, it changed our relationship with God. That's why Jesus had to come and we are now in the new covenant. But there's one thing man's sin could not change and that was God's goodness. Because of His goodness, we have the new covenant where Jesus came and we can receive Him and His redemption, His cleansing, eternal life. Amen? Glory to God. Thank you, Father. First Peter chapter 1 verse 18 through 21 says, Knowing that you were not redeemed or bought back with corruptible things like silver, gold, from your aimless conduct. Aimless conduct, the new century version says, you were living a worthless life. It goes on to say, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers but by the precious blood of Christ. See, Jesus did not have an earthly father

so the life of God was in His blood. That's why it is so precious. It's the precious blood of God that makes us clean. It goes on to say, the precious blood of Christ as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. In other words, no sin. He indeed was ordained before the foundation of the world but was manifest in these last times for you. God knew man would sin so He sent Jesus to protect the goodness, to protect the blessing that can operate in your life, in my life. God did all of this for you and for me due to love. Amen. We are to love one another. The Bible says in first John 4 8, He who does not love does not know God for God is love. In other words, if you don't love your brothers, if you don't forgive and love people who chastise you, who stab you in the back, the word says and you don't truly know God and that means you go to hell. No, we need to forgive people. Amen. I didn't say that we wouldn't have to beat our flesh. People who have done things to us over and over and over. Oh, we need to love them. That doesn't mean that you need to trust them. You can avoid them and love them. Lord have mercy on them and then just stay away from it. Amen. Trust God to change them. Psalm 78 38 says, but he being full of compassion forgave their iniquity and did not destroy them. Yes, many a time he turned his anger away and did not stir up his wrath because he's full of compassion. That's how you and I are supposed to be. And why do we need to be that way? So that the blessing of God can stay operating in our lives. Amen. The goodness of God. I call you blessed in the name of Jesus. Remember, first John 5 4 says, for whatever is born of God overcomes the world and this is the victory that has overcome the world, our faith. Amen. Our trust in God. Glory to God. This
