The Goodness of God - Part 8 - The Blessing

♪ We're living in victory. The battle's won, victory. We've overcome whatever comes our way. You're worthy to taste the seed. We're living in victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Hello, brothers and sisters. This is Mike Kennedy with the Living in Victory broadcast. We're going to continue our series today on the goodness of God. Hallelujah. He is so good to us. We're starting to a new portion of the goodness of God. Today we're going to talk about the blessing, the blessing of God. When did it start? What is included in the blessing? Amen. Join your faith with me. Heavenly Father, we come to you, Lord. We ask you for light, for revelation of your word, that we be doers of your word, operating according to your word, living in your goodness. Father, I ask you to help me speak your oracles, to explain things properly, to get across what you would have us to get across today, that we could experience more of your goodness. In the name of Jesus, amen. Well, the series is based on Psalms 34.8. Oh, taste and see. In other words, experience that the Lord is good. Blessed is the man who trusts in him. In the first messages of this series, we talked about, well, wait a second. I thought the Lord had a little bit of a bad streak in him. When is he not good? What about the things bad that happen in our lives? The attacks, the failures, things breaking, financial hardships. So if you haven't joined us in this series, I encourage you to go back to part one. John 10 is the second verse. The thief, that's talking about Satan. He is a defeated foe, a loser. People have asked me why I have this little sign on my desk that says always. Just one word, because it reminds me that because of what Jesus did, he always, always causes me to triumph. I always win, amen. And that is who you are in Christ Jesus, a winner, amen. Not a loser, a winner. The thief who is the loser does not come except for three reasons, to steal, to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they might have life and they might have it more abundantly. So the blessing of God, the blessing of God is included in the glory of God, amen, the goodness of God. When did the blessing start? Let's go back to the beginning, Genesis chapter one. And it started out in verse two. It said, talked about different aspects of creation, but see the words have been brought down in the English to not understand what the blessing really means. What is entitled to you within the blessing, who can have the access to the blessing of God, the power in the blessing. It's been brought down to a situation of achoo, oh God bless you, meaningless, amen. In Genesis chapter one, verse two, it says the earth was without form in void and darkness was on the face of the deep and the spirit of God was hovering over all the face of the waters. So the spirit of God was already here. This is whenever God began, created the heavens and the earth. See the word blessing, it started back in this period of time. It has a definite indistinct identity. It means to say something good about someone, to empower with good. The Hebrew word for blessing is the exact opposite of curse or to say something bad about. The blessing is God's empowerment into your life to overcome, to succeed. I've heard people say, well, wait a second. You say God is good, but I was laid off and because I was laid off, I started to go back to church. So it must've been a blessing in disguise. No, getting laid off is never a blessing. what the enemy meant for destruction, to hurt you into something good, you may have started turning to God which you should have done years ago and got back to church, glory to God, but it wasn't because something bad was happening in your life and God brought that on you. In other words, God's working with Satan, the thief, the killer. He's working with him to partner with him to cause you to go to church. What? No. The enemy, the last thing he wants you to do is go to church and praise God. They never work together. Amen? Hallelujah. Matthew 6 33. I'm gonna read that to you. Hallelujah. That was not something I was planning on doing today, but let's read this scripture. In Matthew chapter 6 verse 33. Oh, this is a verse that I like. It is a good verse. It says, but seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, doing what's right, and all these things, things, material things, heart things, desires, will be added to you. Amen? This is where it starts. The Hebrew word for good means beautiful,

best, better, bountiful, kindly, merry, pleasant, prosperity, sweet, wealth, to be well. Amen? I want the good things of God operating in my life. You know, I used to be annoyed when someone would say, be well, be well, when you were leaving someplace. And then I realized, wait a second, they're speaking the blessing over me. They're speaking for me to be well. And I started thinking, they may not understand the power of that, the power of their words, but if I receive it by faith, I am going to live well. I am going to be well, live in health. Amen? I changed. Right now, when someone says that to me, be well. I was at an appointment the other day and they said, be well. And I said, I receive it. I'm gonna be well. Live well. Hallelujah. Be strong. Thank you, Father. Amen? See, God's blessing releases power. The power was instilled in Adam and Eve when God breathed life into them. Did you ever notice that on the seventh day, God rested? His work was not just a creation of man, but the blessing of man. So man sinned. Amen? But see, part of the blessing was whenever God breathed into him. And if we go back in that time, the first words Adam and Eve heard were the blessings back in Genesis. That is the first words that God said to him. Let me go back and read Genesis. Let's back up to verse 28 of Genesis chapter 1. First, throughout the first chapter, you saw that God created light. It was good. God called the dry land earth and the sea seas and it was good. He created the firmament and called it good. He said to the seeds of the field and the fruit to yield. And he said it was good. God declared these things were good. Nothing by God was created bad. It was all good. Amen? And in verse 28, then God blessed them and God said to them, so part of the blessing is God speaking into Adam and Eve. God blessed them and said to them, be fruitful. Be multiplied. Fill the earth and subdue it. Have dominion over it. Part of the blessing is to walk in dominion, to walk in authority. Amen? To multiply. Glory to God. Well, the first thing Adam and Eve did after they sinned was they recognized part of the blessing had left them. Part of the blessing was walking in the cool of the day with God. So they sinned. But even during their tremendous sin and the tremendous sin of the earth, God can continued blessing man. Even in the times of Noah where there

was only a few people that were spared due to their sins after the flood. In Genesis chapter 9, the covenant that God created was still going forward. In Genesis chapter 9 verse 1, it says, so God blessed Noah and his sons and said to them, be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth. Exactly what he said to Adam centuries before that. That's what he's telling us. us today. Be fruitful, multiply. Centuries later in Galatians 3.3, God said, God made the blessings of Father Abraham available to the Gentiles. That's you and me. Amen. I decree blessings into your life. Be blessed. Amen. Be prosperous. If you look in Job, the book of Job, it talks about how Satan went to God and said, you've blessed this man. Yeah, but if we read Job, if we go back and you want to understand why some people are so blessed and certain people aren't, turn over to Job. Let's take a look at something in the beginning of Job. Thank you, Father. Job chapter one, let's turn over to verse nine. So Satan answered the Lord and says, does Job fear God for nothing? No, he, he, he did fear God for one thing. Notice the first thing that Satan went to God about was the fears that Job had. You see, the Bible says your fears come upon you. In other words, if you're living in fear, it's going to happen. You've opened up a door to the enemy because God said, fear not. You're actually in rebellion in an area. If you're in fear, you're supposed to deal with those fears. Stir yourself up, get into the word of God and say, no, your word says you're going to bring me out. You're a merciful God. You're going to bring me through this. I shall live and not die. No, they ain't taking my car. I'm getting a good car, a new car paid for a car and start decreeing the word of God over your life. Amen. Asking God for mercies. But see, Job had been getting up every day and going and doing sacrifices in fear that his children may have done some wrong things the night before. They were, but that was between them and God. He could have prayed for him and then left it in God's hands and lived by faith that they would get things right. Instead, he was doing things out of fear. Does Job fear for nothing? Oops, open door. Have you not made a hedge around him? That's a hedge of protection. Amen. I have a hedge of protection around me, protecting me and my family, my finances, my health. What about you? You need to declare that. Have you not made a hedge around him, around his household and around all that he has on every side? Have you blessed the work of his hands and his possessions have increased in

the land? That's happening to me. Amen. Because I have the blessing of God in my life, on my life. If you've been living in fear in an area, get that door closed. What does that mean? Repent for it. Get out of fear and say, no, God, your word says this. I trust you. I give it to you. Amen. I may not see how, but Lord, as you direct my paths, I'm going to do what you tell me to do. And I know that you're going to bring me through this with flying colors. Amen. Proverbs 10, 22 says the blessing of the Lord makes one rich and he adds no sorrow to it or no toil. In other words, you can become prosperous in the things of God. Wealthy. You can become rich in relationships, rich in your marriage, rich in, in, uh, friendships, rich in health, rich in finances. Amen. Without having extreme hard work without toil and regret to it. The blessing of the Lord works for me even while I'm asleep. Amen. Ooh, glory to God. The blessing is supposed to meet our needs. I make no apologies for preaching about the prosperity of God. It's part of the blessing of God. You know, a lot of hypocrites preach are pros. They're against prosperity. These people that talk about prosperity, God just wants people saved. Yeah. And how are you going to take the word forth without prosperity? If I was living in a hut in the middle of the desert, I couldn't be doing what I'm doing right now. They talk about this, but a lot of them have second jobs. They go to work all day. They strive to make money, but old prosperity is wrong. It's hypocritical. Amen. See, since the tower of Babel, that's when the Babylonian system was created. That's whenever man has tried to meet their own needs by their own works. Out of this system came the Nazi-ism, communism, socialism, all these isms fail and always will because the only, only the blessing of God, the law of God can truly create increase in someone's life. Amen. Oh, you may say, yeah, well, they're a drug dealer, man, and they've got a lot of money. Yeah. And they're staying awake all night wondering when they're going to get Busted when they're gonna go to the pen Amen the government attempting to meet Man's needs without God. That's what this type of stuff is. It's it's a godless environment You take God out and eventually prosperity comes out from the people. I lived over in Moscow. I saw what communism did socialism You take God out and eventually there's more health issues more environmental issues more pain more strife God creates an environment of peace of joy in prosperity. Amen

The Word of God is the source of the blessing of God without the Word of God We don't even know how to obtain the blessing We wouldn't even know that there was a blessing from God Satan has been trying to get the blessing from day one That's what he was after with Adam and Eve He thought wait a second if I get them to submit to me rather than to God if I'm shrewd enough to convince him to Do that then the blessing that's on their life is now in my control he didn't realize what he was doing how the fallen man would end up being a Fulfillment of the plan that God had before he created the earth for Jesus his son to come It says in the New Testament that these plans Were planned before the earth was created God knew what man would do, but he wanted to give somebody an opportunity to serve him to Love him and to choose him over Satan in a way to do it Yeah, we're gonna miss it, but we have ability to receive Jesus to repent to be made right to come out Hmm, but we need to hear the word Remember the Word of God is the source of the blessing because the word is the source of faith Faith in God faith in him faith in his blessings Romans 10 17 says so then faith comes by hearing and hearing by the anointed Word of God. Amen See the anointing is the part of the blessing that strips out Bondages that Cures that heals in Isaiah 10 27 It says the anointing removes burdens and destroys Yolks things that are trying to bring us down trying to load us down trying to take us out If it's not good news, it's not the gospel. Amen Preachers always preaching you're gonna go to hell Hey, man, if you're not serving God most people know they're on their way to hell. Amen I don't have to go to an outlaw biker event and tell people you're going to hell. They already know it Tell people about the good news that you don't have to amen If they reject God, well, then yeah, you can tell them the bad news. Well, you're going to hell, dude There was a situation a few years ago where an outlaw biker Came up to me says you trying to get me saved because I'm on my way to hell

I said, well, what do you want to do? He said man. I want to go to hell and party I said ain't gonna be much of a party But if you want to go to hell go to hell turn around walk away Well a few hours later man, he came hunting me down. He says man. I was joking I really I don't I don't I don't want to go to hell the thought of going to hell man. Oh boy He got right with God. It's not a joke. Amen He thought that I'd stand there and try to preach to him. No, you want to go to hell go to hell You want to go to heaven? Well, let's talk I'll show you how to get there man and live in the blessings till you do. Amen Galatians 3 9 said so then those who are of faith are blessed with Believing our faithful Abraham. I have the believing of faithful Abraham in other words I have faith in the Word of God the same God that was the God of Abraham and Because of that I can inherit the blessing of Abraham and he was rich. He was prosperous. Amen You say well I go to church and I'm not living in the blessing Let's talk about that. We need to evaluate some things if you aren't living in the blessings of God Regardless where you are what country you're in all but you're in America. So yeah, you're blessed No, we are one nation under God, which is why we are blessed God will bless you wherever you are He will bless you in prison We've went over scriptures where men were in prison and God brought them up and prospered them in prison He doesn't change. So back over to Genesis chapter 1 verse 28. We read that in the New King James, I'm gonna read it in the Amplified it says and God blessed them and said to them be fruitful Multiply and fill the earth and subdue it Using all its vast resources in the service of God and man. Well, that'll throw away some Some of the environmentalist ideas, we're supposed to utilize the resources God gave us. I didn't say destroy it, I said utilize it. God, Genesis 1, 28 says, and God blessed them and God said unto them, be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the fowl of the air and over every living thing that moveth on the earth.

We were created to walk in dominion, in authority. Just think of that. The first words man ever heard were to the blessing, to be blessed, to multiply, to increase, to have abundance in every way. The word replenish, it means to fill up, perpetually renew, to keep full. We are empowered to fill the earth with goodness, not just have babies. He wasn't telling them just to go, go have babies. He was saying, finish what I started. See the garden of Eden, God gave us the size of it in Genesis 2, verses 8 through 15. And if you look at the size of that and the dimensions of those areas and the rivers it was between, it was about the size of present day Iraq. So what was going on? Why didn't God just do the garden of Eden around the whole earth? Because he told us to go forth with authority and build it, to have dominion over it, to speak over it. Amen. We're created as speaking spirits, just like God in the image of God. How did he create light? How did he create the earth and the heavens, the animals? He spoke them into existence. Hence, power of life and death is in our words. We just don't understand how much power is in our words. Amen. When God said light be, the power of light was released and it's still producing today. You know, just a couple of weeks ago, April 12th, actually of 2026, this year, the Association of Universities for Research in Astronomy. These are people that are doctorates and all they do is research astronomy. What's going on in the universe? They made a report and I'm going to read just the summary of it. A major international effort has produced an ultra precise measurement of the

universe's expansion rate. Not how, not is it going to expand, but how fast that rate of expansion is. Confirming it's faster than early universe models predict. In other words, all these people that were talking about evolution and stuff, their models were wrong. By linking multiple distinct measuring techniques, scientists ruled out simple errors as a causes of the discrepancy. The persistent Hubble tension now looks more real than ever. Things that Mr. Hubble from, which is what the, the Hubble telescope was named after. He declared this in early 1900s and they fought against it. Now they're finding out, Ooh, it's real. It could mean our current model of the cosmos is incomplete. I can tell you that it's incomplete. Man thinks that some of these people think they know everything. No, they need to have some humility. It isn't complete. Just think of this. 91 billion light years across is our universe. And it's still growing because God said light be. The universe has at least 550 billion trillion miles across, and it may be much larger than that. This is what the astronomers are saying. The observable universe contains as many as estimated 2 trillion galaxies. And that's an estimate of 10 to the 24th power of the 24 stars. That's more stars and earth-like planets than all the grains of the beach of the sand on planet earth, man. So in this, they, they started talking about the big bang, the big bang theory. You know, the big bang question can be answered by quantum physics, but hardcore evolutionists that deny God do not like the answer.

So they keep searching for a different answer because they don't like it. Well, Dr. Gunn, who's one of the top people over this, he said, the big bang is the moment that space and time or space time came into existence before the big bang. There was no space, no time. And people say, yep. See the big bang. That's what created space and time. And he said, so it is actually meaningless to ask what caused the big bang to happen. There was no universe in which that could have even existed. This means that there was a bang most likely, but it. could not have occurred by spontaneous combustion by itself. It took some extra power. Well, that extra power is Light-B. Amen? They just haven't been able to come out and say, oops, our theories are wrong. It actually is creation. So, the expanding universe that was predicted by Albert Einstein, the theory of relativity, has been proven. In 1929, Mr. Edwin Hubble said that the earth is expanding and its 31 galaxies were correlated with red shifts of their spectra has been proven. Okay? Even though the evolutionists didn't like it. Evolution theorists keep changing their theory because it's a theory. It's not a fact. They cannot prove it because the word is true. God said Light-B. When the light of God was spoken forth out of him, Light-B, there would have been a big bang. Amen? When the photons moved at the speed of light, it's more than a big bang except the universe in motion. Amen? See, Acts 17 28 says, For in him we live and move and have our being. In his power we have our being. Glory. God's glory became the basis of all matter. Amen? Recently out of this,

these physics professors and researchers stated that the universe began as a result of massive explosion of electromagnetic radiation. That's light. In other words, all their theories of the matter and stuff changed. Now they're saying, well it was electromagnetic radiation. God did it. Light-B. Amen? You can be part of the blessing of God that said Light-B that created everything that's going forth and is still multiplying and growing. Hallelujah. If you want to choose to be part of the God's family that said Light-B that set everything in motion, you can receive him right now. Just say, Heavenly Father, I believe that you sent your son Jesus Christ to die on the earth, to raise from the dead that's seated in heavenly places. Lord, I ask you to be my savior. Come into my life. Forgive me of my sins. In the name of Jesus. Amen. If you did that, you are going to be walking around these galaxies in the centuries to come, the millennia to come. Amen? Well, there's a lot more in this to talk about regarding Genesis when God created light. He created man. He created the sun and moons. Part of the blessing, the goodness.
