The Goodness of God - Part 23 - Angelic Beings, Part II

We're gonna continue our series on the goodness of God. He is so good to us. As time goes on, we'll find out how good He really is to us, how good He has been to us, how many times He protected us, how many times He provided for us, how many times He brought us through a situation where a car didn't hit us running through a stop sign, where the enemy tried to take us out with something like COVID and we overcame, amen? How many times we didn't know where we were gonna get a meal, our provision, and the enemy was shut down because of the goodness of God.

Hallelujah. This series is based on John 10.10 in Psalms 34.8. John 10.10 says the thief, that's the enemy. He's got a big old L tattooed right here, loser, amen? The thief does not come except to steal and to kill and to destroy. You say, why do I call him a loser? He has lost more than any created being in all eternity. He was an archangel at the throne of God and he lost it all. But because of that, Jesus came because of what Satan did and Adam and Eve, Jesus came so that you and I can have life and life abundantly, eternal life. So he's the biggest losers, you and I are the biggest winners, amen? We have eternal life if we receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior. That's the only way. The second verse, Psalms 34.8. Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good.

Blessed is the man who trusts in him or who has faith in him. In the last message, we introduced angels as part of the goodness of God. Psalms 34.7, we just read eight. It says the angel of the Lord encamps around all those who fear or reverence him, honors him, amen? And delivers them. Glory to God. Let's back up. I'm gonna start off and just point out a couple of things here in Psalms 34. Verse one. I will bless the Lord at all times. All times. I give you praise, Lord. We should not be ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ, amen? His praise shall continually be in my mouth. You should be declaring the goodness of God, thanking him, giving him praise all the time, amen? I didn't say you had to be weird. You should be praising him. Something happens. Thank you, Lord. Amen.

Praise means to brag or boast. Boast on his goodness. Verse two. My soul shall make its boast in the Lord. The humble shall hear of it and be glad. Not boast in how great you are, how good looking you are, what you've done. It's only by his goodness, by his mercy that you and I have been able to figure out how to get ourselves out of a wet paper bag. Amen? Glory to God. Verse three. Oh, magnify the Lord with me. Let us exalt his name together. Praise you, Lord. Thank you, Father. We exalt your name. Amen? Verse four. I sought the Lord. Notice this took him seeking the Lord. Are you seeking the Lord? Do you have a challenge in your life? Something that you need to overcome? I encourage you. Start off by seeking the Lord. Praising him. Seeking him.

Asking him for wisdom. Asking him for direction. And he will give it to you. Amen? I sought the Lord and he heard me and delivered me from all my fears. So the fear of the Lord or the reverence of the Lord delivers you from all other fears. You've got a fear that you're going to fail. That you're going to die of a disease. That you're going to get more time in prison. That you aren't going to get a job. That he's not going to meet your needs. Start reverencing and thanking him for it and asking him for mercy and help and he will help in time of trouble. Glory to God. Verse five. They looked to him and were radiant. In their faces, were not ashamed. This poor man cried out and saved him. Oh hallelujah! This poor man cried out and the Lord heard him and saved him out of all his troubles. Fear of God came first, a reverence of God. Crying out to the Lord and the Lord saved him out of, not from his troubles, out of his troubles. You got a trouble situation going on? He will save you, deliver you out of that situation. Amen. In verse 7. Notice that verse 6 is a specific group of people. Those who reverence the Lord, those who fear the Lord. Not everyone. Those who reverence the Lord. There's an answer for somebody right there. Verse 7. The angel, we're talking about goodness of God and specifically angels right now. The angel

of the Lord encamps around all around those who fear Him. Those who fear God. As you fear God, the angel of the Lord will encamp around you. He will help you and delivers them. And he who the Son sets free is free indeed. This is the angel of the Lord that is there. Oh taste and see that the Lord is good. Blessed is the man who trusts in Him. Oh fear the Lord you His saints. There is no want, no lack to those who fear Him. The young lions lack and suffer, but those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing. Notice this is with the angel of the Lord encamped around you in delivering you out because you reverence Him. The angel of the Lord is here. He's around us. If we honor God, if we seek Him to bring you out of all your troubles. Amen. So and we started off in the first message of this series on the goodness of God with these verses. Amen. Verse 4, He heard me and delivered me. Verse 6, the poor man saved out of his trouble. You ain't got to be poor no more. He delivered them. He will deliver you. Amen. Taste and see that the Lord is good. See angels are like special agents, special forces of God. Now we don't have authority over them, but when we speak God's Word, His Word coming out of our mouth, they are on standby to heed the Word of God. That's why we need to know the Word and speak the Word. Amen. They are not special agents trying to be seen. That's just like our Navy SEALs, Rangers. They don't want to be seen. When they're in combat, man the good thing is is when they can't be seen. Amen. See that's what angels are. I didn't say there's not times where they won't show up. We're gonna get into a few scriptures about that, but they play an important role in the children's of God's life. Your life, my life. They play an important part of the goodness of God in our lives. Angels are mentioned over 300 times in the Bible. They appeared to humans in Genesis 18 and Genesis 19 where Abraham served them bread and they warned Abraham about Sodom and Gomorrah and how Sodom and Gomorrah were going to be destroyed because of their sins, because of what they were doing, allowing Lot to have a chance to live. In Hebrews 13 too, it says, Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by doing so some have unwittingly entertained angels. There are different kinds of angels with different purposes. There's the

archangels like Michael. Satan was one of those. Cherubim, Seraphim. Amen. These are not sons of God, but they are very powerful, powerful beings, but they're not sons of God like you and me. Amen. In the ESV Bible, in Psalms 91 11, it says, He will command His angels concerning you. God will command His angels concerning you to guard you and all your ways. So you speak God's Word and His angels are on standby to fulfill it. They are God's servants. They're not our servants. They're God's servants that God assigns to us. Amen. We need to command them according to the Word of God to go before us and protect us concerning all our ways, our travel, what we do, every place we go. Amen. The Weymouth of Hebrews 1 14 says, Are not all angels spirits that serve Him, whom He sends out to render service for THE BENEFIT OF THOSE WHO BEFORE LONG WILL INHERIT SALVATION. GOD SENDS THEM OUT BY THE POWER OF HIS WORD. THEY ARE ON GUARD. WE COVERED THAT IN THE LAST MESSAGE. WHO WILL INHERIT SALVATION? YOU AND ME. IF WE RECEIVE JESUS AS OUR LORD, HALLELUJAH. PSALMS 103 20 SAYS BLESS THE LORD YOU HIS ANGELS WHO EXCEL IN STRENGTH, WHO DO HIS WORD HEEDING THE VOICE OF HIS WORD. NOTICE THEY HEED THE VOICE OF HIS WORD. HIS WORD COMING OUT OF YOUR MOUTH. AMEN. THEY ARE MINISTERING SPIRITS SENT BY GOD TO ASSIST PEOPLE. THEY ARE ACTING UPON THE WORD OF GOD BY INDIVIDUALS WHO SPEAK THE WORD OF GOD THAT COMMAND THEM ACCORDING TO THE WORD OF GOD. THEY ARE ATTENTIVE TO GOD'S WORD AND THEY WILL ASSIST INDIVIDUALS IN THEIR ENDEAVORS, IN YOUR ENDEAVORS. AMEN. SOME OF THE AREAS INCLUDE PROVISION AND PROSPERITY. AMEN. JACOB SAW ANGELS ARRIVING AND DEPARTING GOING UP. HE SAID IT WAS A LADDER. PROBABLY MORE WE'D CALL IT LIKE AN ESCALATOR GOING UP AND DOWN FROM HEAVEN. SOME ARE DEPARTING, SOME ARE ARRIVING GOING UP AND DOWN. GENESIS 28 12 SAYS THEN HE DREAMED AND BEHOLD A LADDER WAS

SET UP ON THE EARTH AND ITS TOP REACHED TO HEAVEN AND THERE THE ANGELS OF GOD WERE ASCENDING AND DESCENDING ON IT. THEY WERE GOING TO HEAVEN. THEY WERE COMING BACK DOWN TO DO WORK ON GOD'S BEHALF ACCORDING TO THE WORD THAT YOU AND I SPEAK. GLORY TO GOD. IN GENESIS 28 VERSE 20 IT SAYS THEN JACOB MADE A VOW SAYING IF GOD WILL BE WITH ME AND KEEP ME IN THIS WAY THAT I AM GOING AND GIVE ME BREAD TO EAT AND CLOTHING TO PUT ON SO THAT I COME BACK FROM MY FATHER'S HOUSE IN PEACE THEN THE LORD SHALL BE MY GOD IN THIS STONE WHICH I HAVE SET AS A PILLAR SHALL BE GOD'S HOUSE AND ALL OF YOU AND ALL OF THAT YOU GIVE ME I WILL SURELY GIVE YOU A TENTH TO YOU. HE'S TITHING OFF OF WHAT GOD SAID. HE MADE A VOW. HE MADE A COVENANT WITH GOD. THEN HE PROSPERED. AMEN. GOD MET HIS NEEDS FINANCIALLY. GAVE HIM PEACE, CLOTHES, PROVISIONS. AMEN. IN JOHN 1 51 IT SAYS THEN HE SAID TO HIM MOST ASSUREDLY I SAY TO YOU HEREAFTER YOU SHALL SEE THE HEAVEN OPEN AND THE ANGELS OF GOD ASCENDING AND DESCENDING UPON THE SON OF MAN. GLORY TO GOD. THOSE ANGELS STILL COME TODAY TO HELP YOU AND ME. IF WE SPEAK GOD'S WORD THEY'RE ON STANDBY. WHAT'S HE GONNA SAY? IS HE GONNA SAY SOMETHING THAT LINES UP WITH THE WORD OF GOD THAT I CAN ACT ON? MY GOD SHALL SUPPLY ALL MY NEEDS ACCORDING TO HIS RICHES AND GLORY. AND THEY'RE LIKE OKAY LET'S GO GET SOMETHING. MINISTERING SPIRITS YOU GO BEFORE ME. I'VE PLANTED A SEED INTO THAT MINISTRY. CAUSE HARVEST TO COME IN. BRING IT BACK INTO ME. AMEN. AND THEN YOU SHUT SATAN AND HIS ACTIVITIES DOWN. SATAN WE BIND YOU. WE SHUT YOU DOWN. YOU HAVE NO AUTHORITY IN OUR LIFE. MINISTERING SPIRITS GO FORTH. CAUSE THAT HARVEST TO COME IN. AMEN. YOU KNOW ELIJAH WAS ACTUALLY FED BY ANGELS. THIS IS A UNIQUE SITUATION. ANGEL FOOD.

IN FIRST KINGS 19-5 THEN AS HE LAY AND SLEPT UNDER A BROOM TREE SUDDENLY AN ANGEL TOUCHED HIM AND SAID TO HIM ARISE AND EAT. THEN HE LOOKED AND THERE BY HIS HEAD WAS A CAKE BAKED ON COALS AND A JAR OF WATER. SO THIS ANGEL MADE ANGEL CAKE FOR HIM. AMEN. NOT LIKE THE ANGEL CAKE GRANDMA MAKES. THIS ANGEL CAKE HAD ABILITY IN IT TO STRENGTHEN HIM. SO HE ATE AND DRANK AND LAY DOWN AGAIN. SO THIS ANGEL WOKE HIM UP SAID HAVE SOME ENERGY FOOD. AMEN. HAVE AN ENERGY BAR AND GAVE HIM SOME WATER. AND THEN A SECOND TIME THE ANGEL CAME AND TOUCHED HIM AND SAID ARISE AND EAT BECAUSE YOUR JOURNEY IS TOO GREAT FOR YOU. WE NEED TO EAT FROM THE WORD OF GOD DAILY. AMEN. AND IT WILL STRENGTHEN US. IT WILL HELP US. AMEN. AND HE ENDED UP RUNNING FOR 40 DAYS OFF AND 40 NIGHTS OFF THIS ANGEL FOOD. MAN WE'RE GOING TO EAT IN HEAVEN SOME ANGEL FOOD. IT'S GOING TO STRENGTHEN US. AMEN. ANOTHER WAY IS ANGELS HELP WITH ENCOURAGEMENT. THEY ARE MESSENGERS OF HOPE. GABRIEL. HE HAD A MESSENGER. GABRIEL ACTUALLY MEANS HERO OF GOD. AND IN DANIELS 8 16. AND I HEARD A MAN'S VOICE BETWEEN THE BANKS OF ULI WHO CALLED AND SAID GABRIEL MAKE THIS MAN UNDERSTAND THE VISION. SO HE CAME NEAR WHERE I STOOD. AND WHEN HE CAME I WAS AFRAID AND FELL ON MY FACE. BUT HE SAID TO ME. Understand son of God that the vision refers to the time to the end. He helped Daniel get understanding understanding of the Word of God Understanding he will help you if you need understanding in an area. He will give it to you. Oh Glory to God now things don't just happen Daniel had prayed back in Daniel 10 and he had prayed For some help in the prince of the kingdom of Persia, that's Iran

There's still demonic powers in that area today that are hindering things from the Word of God But Daniel prayed and an angel was dispatched immediately Amen, 21 days later it showed up But Michael he was in a fight against his demonic spirit and Michael showed up the archangel and helped him You need to stand until the angel arrives to help a man. Don't quit Glory to God Hallelujah, he will help you the Lord will send an angel if you need help He will he will do whatever it takes to sustain you if you trust him. He's a miracle working God That's you know, he turned a fish and loaves enough into to feed thousands You say ah, that's just stuff in the Bible. No, it's real it happens today if we trust him miracle manifestations In the New Testament Zechariah and Elizabeth they were informed that they would have a son who became John the Baptist that's in Luke chapter 1 verse 11 It says the angel of the Lord appeared to him standing on the right side of the altar of incense And when Zechariah saw him he was troubled and fear fell upon him But the angel said to him do not be afraid Zacharias for your prayer is heard and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son and you shall call his name John John the Baptist came as from a messenger given a word from God a word of the Lord. Amen Mary she heard from Gabriel he was sent by God Okay to let Mary know that she was going to have a virgin birth Jesus glory to God angels were involved in this message as well But notice what Mary said over in Luke chapter 1 verse 38 Then Mary said behold the maidservant of the Lord Let it be according to your word and the angel departed from her see angels can be messengers from God Revealing things to us. Well, the good thing is is you and I have the Holy Spirit now when we receive Jesus at our Lord And he will confirm things with our heart the spirit of the Lord lives within us and bears witness with us. Amen Hallelujah, then we find out when Jesus he passed away

He went he died on the cross went to hell rose from the grave and when that happened we find out in Matthew 28 For now after the Sabbath as the first day of the week began to dawn Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb and behold there was a great earthquake For an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone from the door and sat on it My my my an angel rolled back this massive stone Verse 5 but the angel answered and said to the women do not be afraid for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified He is not here for he is risen as he has said an Angel let them know that he had risen now Jesus came and presented himself to the disciples to different people numerous times but The angel of the an angel sent by God opened up that grave tomb and showed them Apostle Paul Another New Testament situation in Acts 27 and it says and Paul was was taken by officers. He was on his way to Rome and in a boat And there a massive storm came up They thought they were gonna lose everything probably like a tropical storm a hurricane in a boat And he was caught in this storm for days people thought they were gonna die And Paul he got quiet and heard from the Lord how did one thing that was sent was an angel It says and I urge you to take heart in Acts 2722 for there will be no loss of life among you but only of the ship for there stood by me this night an angel of God to whom I belong in whom I serve Saying do not be afraid Paul. You must be brought before Caesar This is somebody given revelation and peace. Amen He's a messenger of the Lord bringing peace and indeed God has granted you all those who sail with you therefore heart, men, for I believe God that it will be just as it was told me. Amen. Another way is protection. We already read that a little bit in Psalms chapter 34, but Psalms 91, he says he will give his angels charge over you in all your ways. Amen. We are heirs of salvation and angels have an assignment or a charge to

protect us. Isaiah 37, chapter 37, verse 36 says, Then the angel of the Lord went out and killed in the camp of this series 185,000. This is protection. They were trying to take people out. Amen. Matthew 18, 10. Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the face of the Father who is in heaven. Their angels. Matthew, chapter 18. Their angels. What does that mean? That word there in Greek means autos, or their own. This is an assigned angel. You've heard angels protecting children, they're guardian angels. Well, we're all children of God. When we receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior, you are a child of God. You may be a hundred years old, but in his perspective, man, you are so young. You're just a little child. In a time of eternity, a hundred years is nothing. A thousand years is to a day. So if you're 120 years old, you're 2.4 hours old. You're just a little child. Your angel doesn't leave you. Amen. We still have an angel assigned to us throughout our whole life that is there to protect us. The thing is, are we gonna speak doubt? Oh man, I may die. You know, there was a situation with an outlaw biker years ago, and he called me. He says, well, today's a good day to die. He was on his way to a situation in Laughlin, Nevada, and there's some stuff going down. I said, no brother. Mark, it's not a good day to die. It's a good day to live. It's a good day for the mercy of God. It's a good day for the protection of God, and I prayed over him, and he was in a situation there, and he just had this feeling inside. It's an unction where the Spirit of God said, it's time for you to go. He said, you know what guys? I'm gonna head out for a little while. I'll be back later on. Ten minutes later, a shootout started in a casino, and two clubs got into a shootout. A lot of them went to jail. People were dead. He would have been in the middle of it, but because he followed that little quiet voice inside that bore witness with his heart, he left, and because of that, he lived, got right with God, hallelujah, served at his church, and is in glory today. Glory to God. But see, his angel helped him get out. Daniel wrote, my God sent his angel, and he shut the mouths of the lions. They have not hurt me. An angel of God helped Daniel in this situation. Angels have helped more than we know.

Paul, he was in prison in Acts 12 7, in Christians prayed. You ever prayed for someone, or anyone ever prayed for you? See, God sent an angel to prison to help Peter when Peter was in prison, amen, in this situation. He will help you in your circumstance, no matter what country you're in, no matter what situation you're in. If we humble ourselves before God, this is part of the goodness of God, amen? Now, there are, we have ministering spirits, or angelic beings that are here to help us, but there's also demonic spirits in this world, and we're supposed to shut them down, bind them, command them to cease their activities. Jesus, he took authority over them. We find out in Acts 16, Paul, greatly annoyed by this woman who had this spirit, said to the spirit, I command you in the name of Jesus, in the name of Jesus, to come out of her. So see, there are angels, those are spirits that are, that are servants of God, that we can speak authority over, and command, not, we don't command them, we command the Word of God, and they act on the Word of God, amen? They are servants of His, and they are standing by to act on the Word of God in our mouth. Well, a third of the angels rebelled with, with Satan, with Lucifer, and were cast out. So these demons are still here, but their time is short. Before long, they're gonna end up in hell, where they need to be, but Paul spoke to that, that demon spirit, and said, come out in the name of Jesus, in Luke 4 32. Jesus was teaching and different people were around astonished at it, okay, and Jesus, there was a situation going on where there was a man who had a spirit of an unclean demon and he said in Luke 4 32 through 35, the demon said, did you come to destroy us? I know who you are, the Holy One of God, but Jesus rebuked him saying, be quiet, shut up, get out. That's what we do to demon spirits, amen. Angelic beings, we speak the Word of God. My God shall supply all my knees. Now by the stripes of Jesus I am healed. Lord, I ask you to guide that doctor's hands in that surgery. Keep them back from making mistakes. Father, I ask you for it. Angels will go forth on guidance by that and help that person, amen. God's not going out and doing anything. He's got a whole source of angels helping him at his Word, amen. Glory to God. And Matthew 17 verse 14,

And Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him, and the child was cured from that very hour. See, we're supposed to bind the enemy, bind the works of the devil, shut them down, speak the works of God, and command ministering spirits to go work on our behalf. This is part of the goodness of God, the mercy of God, the help of God, amen. Notice I didn't say that we have authority over them. We speak God's Word and they act on God's Word, amen, coming out of our mouths. Glory to God. Over in 1st John chapter 3, it says, this is regarding the Son of God and a child. He said, Who who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested that he might destroy the works of the devil or undo the works of the devil. No matter what the devil is doing, what Jesus did has brought that authority into your life and my life to undo any works he's done. So demons and and Satan are standing there. They prepared to attack you to take you out for days, and all of a sudden we start speaking and binding Satan in his attacks, loosing ministering spirits, amen, but shutting down the schemes of the enemy. And Satan and all his demons are over there cussing. They're upset because they planned for days to take you out, but because of what Jesus did, the works of Satan are shut down. They are undone and we live in victory, amen. Well remember 1st John 5 4 says, For whatever is born of God overcomes the world, and this is the victory that has overcome the world, our faith, amen. Live in faith, live in victory, amen. Speak the Word of God and angels will be dispatched on your behalf for the goodness of God and for the goodness of you. Hallelujah. Have a blessed day.
