The Goodness of God - Part 22 - Angelic Beings, Part I
Brother Mike preaches a message about The Goodness of God on the Living In Victory Broadcast.
We're living in victory The battle's won in victory We've overcome whatever comes our way You're worthy to taste the seed We're living in victory Through our Lord Jesus Christ Hello, this is Mike Kennedy with the Living in Victory broadcast. If you would join your faith with me today, we're going to talk about angelic beings, spirits, ministering spirits that have been sent to help you and to help me. Oh, God is so good to us. We're going to cover a few things regarding angels, types of angels, seraphim, cherubim, the different categories, the places that they have, the rank, the principalities, the powers, things like archangels. You know, we're going to cover how angels came to be, their purpose, their power, what guardian angels are in their role to children and to adults. We're going to cover different examples of how angels protected people, prospered people, blessed people at the direction of God in the Bible. Warnings about fallen angels, spirits, amen. If you would join your faith, heavenly Father, we come to you, we ask you for revelation of your word, grace and anointing. Father, we ask you to open up our eyes on these ministering spirits, how to utilize them, how they can be a blessing to us, how to understand them, not to worship them, to worship you, but understand their place, and we thank you for it, Lord. In the name of Jesus, amen. Well, glory to God, Psalms 9111 in the ESV Bible. It says, He, God, will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. Psalms 347 says, The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him and deliver them, amen. If you would turn with me to Hebrews 1.14, we're going to go into details on those two verses I just read, but let's take a look at Hebrews 1.14.
It says, Are not all ministering spirits or angels sent forth? Now, who sent them forth? God sends them forth for purposes. What is the purpose God sent them? Well, we find out right here, to minister for those who will inherit eternal salvation. Who will inherit eternal salvation? Those who receive Jesus Christ, that's you and me, if you've received Him. So God sent angelic beings from a different dimension to help you and me. Glory to God. The NLT in Hebrews 1.14 says, Therefore, angels are only servants, spirits sent to care for people who will inherit salvation. Ministering spirits are angels, angelic beings. They are here to minister to you and for you. We'll get into that. We should send them out. We have authority to direct them, and we're going to get into how we do that, but we should send them out to do things on our behalf, things that will protect us, things that will prosper us, amen, things that will minister to us. So stay tuned, and we will get into the scripture backing some of these, amen. And this will help you because as you learn about these ministering spirits, these angelic beings, and learn the purpose of them, and how to utilize them and put them to work based on the Word of God, it will help us, amen. The word minister means to serve like a waiter, to assist. You know, I'm trying to serve you a meal of the Word of God today. The waiters that God sent, the angelic beings, are here to do work on God's behalf,
but it's also on God's behalf according to the Word that we speak, amen. They serve the Creator. They were created by Him and sent forth from Heaven. Glory to God. get into scripture about how angels come and how they descend and how they depart, how they come and go. Scientists say that there are signs, indications of another dimension, a realm of the unseen. Well, of course, they're angelic beings. The Bible tells us about them, angelic beings. Amen. So, they know that there's another dimension. Yes, there is. Hallelujah. And these angels, man, they are big. They are powerful. They can do amazing things in our lives. Amen. We're going to find out how many there are. There are millions of angels that are on God's side. And if you're on God's side, they're on your side. Hallelujah. You know, I remember a situation years ago, a 1% outlaw biker. I show up and got my tribe of Judah patch on, declaring Jesus is Lord. And he's a big guy, probably 6'3". And there are a bunch of different clubs that are in the area. He's standing around and he says, you know, that Jesus stuff is pretty cool. He said, why don't you come with me? I'll take you to one of my meetings. We're going to worship some demons. He didn't say the word demons, but we're going to worship devil. We're going to do some seances and I'll show you some cool stuff, man. And I, the Holy Spirit came upon me. I said, my God created your God. My God defeated your God. Why don't you get on your knees with me right now? Give your life to Jesus and see true power. See the true goodness of God. Amen. And I don't know what he saw, but he said, you cool, you cool. He backed up. His face turned white. For years, he'd see me at an event in a building. He'd kind of wave at me across the way, but wouldn't come close. But glory to God, he gave his life to the Lord. I believe he saw into the spiritual realm about how many angels are for us, the power of those angels, and how they are here to serve, protect. Amen. The King James Bible uses the word messenger. God sent messengers on our behalf, ministering spirits, messengers. Angels can be sent by God, but you can also send forth your angel to protect, to guide, to do things. Amen. Here, the Greek word for ministering spirits actually is the word angels. And we're going to go into this about binding and loosing and how angels are involved whenever we bind things, whenever we lose things here on earth, according to the word of God. Amen. We've been, we just read Hebrews verse 14 in chapter 1. Back up, and I'm going to start off with verse 1 of Hebrews 1 and read the whole first 14 verses
and set an example of what these are, what their position is, what they are supposed to do. And then we're going to get into numerous scriptures regarding this. Amen. Long ago, God spoke many times and in many ways to our ancestors through the prophets. And now in these final days, he has spoken to us through his Son. Glory to God, Jesus Christ. God promised everything to the Son as an inheritance, and through the Son, he created the universe. The Son radiates God's own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven. So as after Jesus died on the cross, he became sin for you and me, paid the price of all of our sin by going to hell, rose from the dead, and then he seated on the right hand of God in heaven. Verse 4, this shows that the Son is far greater than the angels. He's seated on the right hand of God at the throne. Just as the name of God came, gave him is greater than their names. So the Bible says Jesus's name is greater than all names. All other names will bow at the name of Jesus. Holy is our Lord, powerful, worthy to be praised. Verse 5 says, For God never said to any angel what he said to Jesus, you are my Son. In other words, angels are servants, created to be servants. But Jesus, he said, you are my Son. Today I have become your Father. God also said, I will be his Father and he will be my Son. And when he brought his firstborn son into the world, God said, let all of the angels worship him. The angels are supposed to and do worship Jesus, our Lord, our Savior. Amen. Regarding the angels, he says, he sends his angels like the wind. He sends them forth different directions to do different things. He sends them like flames of fire. Man, they go fast with power. Verse 8, but to the Son, he says, your throne, O God, endures forever and ever. You rule with a scepter of justice. Glory to God. You love justice and hate evil. What about you? I love justice. I love truth. Amen. I hate evil. Evil is here to hurt people. Therefore, O God, your God has anointed you, pouring out the oil of joy on you more than on anyone else. He also says to the Son, in the beginning, Lord, you laid the foundation of the earth and made the heavens with your hands. They will perish, but you will remain forever. They will wear out like old clothing. You will fold them like a cloak and discard them like old clothing. But you are always the same. You will live forever. Verse 13, and God never said to the angels, sit in the
place of honor at my right hand until I humble your enemies, making them a footstool under your feet. In other words, God's coming back. He's sending Jesus back, and he's gonna put the devil in change and throw him in the pit. Verse 14, therefore angels are only servants, spirits sent to care for people who will inherit salvation, you and me. Hebrews chapter 2, verse 1, so we must listen very carefully to the truth we have heard, or we may drift away from it. Angels speak truth. Demons, Satan, speak lies. Satan is the father of it. That means he created it. He fathered lies. God is truth, and he is the spirit of truth. And angels, angelic beings, only speak truth. Amen? And they only act on the truth of the Word of God. They can't be manipulated. Verse 2, for the message God delivered through angels has always stood firm, and every violation of the law and every act of disobedience was punished. In other words, the law was given by Moses through God, and angels are here. They stood firm on the Word of God. The Amplified in Hebrews 1, verse 4 says, taking a place and rank by which he himself became as much superior to angels as the glorious name or title which he has inherited is different from and more excellent than theirs. Jesus took his place, his rank above them, seated by the throne of God. No angel has ever been called the Son. No angel or spirit like that has ever been put next to Jesus, next to God as a son or an authority there. They are ministering spirits. Amen? Verse 5 of the Amplified says, for to which of the angels did God ever say, you are my son? None. Today I have begotten you or established you in an official sonship relation with kingly dignity. And again, I will be to him a father and he will be to me a son. Well just think of that, because of what Jesus did, you and I have the right to become sons of God. Jesus gave us that because of what he did. We have to receive it. We have to take it by faith. We have to ask Jesus to be our Lord and Savior, come into our heart, cleanse us of our sins. Amen? There's things we have to do, but Jesus did it. No demon has ever been allowed that. No angel has ever been allowed to be called a son of God. Amen? Verse 6, moreover, I'm reading this in like I said the Amplified, it says, moreover, when he brings the firstborn son again into the habitable world, he
says, let all the angels of God worship him. Angels worship God. They worship Jesus. You and I should worship God as well, but we are still above angels. We are not in the same class as angels. These people that say, oh God needed another angel in heaven. No, God did not need another angel in heaven. Your child, your parent, your friend is not an angel. They did not change their type of back to heaven. There's still a spirit. Amen. We are a spirit. We have a soul and we live in a body. We don't become an angel. That's a demotion. Amen. You don't die and become something less. A lot of these religions that say you could come back as an ant or a worm. No, that's not truth. You don't come back. You live and you die. When you die, you either go to heaven or hell. It's your choice. Amen. I'm going to heaven. What about you? Verse 7. Referring to the angels, he says, God who makes his angels wins in his ministering servants flames of fire. Besides to which of the angels has he ever said, sit at my right hand associated with me in my royal dignity till I make your enemies a footstool of your feet. No one, no angel has ever been given that opportunity. Are not the angels all ministering spirits, servants sent out in service of God for the assistance of those who are to inherit salvation. That's you and me. God created them and he sent them forth for you and me to benefit you and me. Glory to God to help us. Now that is the goodness of God. Hebrews chapter 2 verse 1 says, Since all this is true, we ought to pay much closer attention than ever to the truths that we have heard, lest in any way we drift past them and slip away. For if the message given through angels, the law spoken by them to Moses was authentic and proved, sure in every violation and disobedience received an appropriate, just, and adequate penalty. We do not pray to angels. We do not bow or worship angels. They are servants. You know, a lot of people want to see an angel and worship them. No, we do not do that. They are servants. They're beneath us. We are children of God. Amen. And Psalms 91, we find out that God will give his angels charge over you. He's charging them to act on our behalf. There's different ranks, different kinds of angels, different assignments. He said in Psalms, which we read at the beginning here. He said in Psalms 91 verse 11, He will command his angels concerning you to guard you or to keep you in all your ways. Well, all here is all. He will keep you using angels when traveling, at work, at home, in war. Amen. But we are supposed to do some things in regarding to angels. But we are heirs of salvation. They're here for our help. Why would we not want to utilize a powerful being? Man, do they have power that God gave us for our help. Angels have been charged
or assigned to support us, to help us. In Genesis chapter 28, we find out that there's a ladder, a highway that is there with angels going up and down. We'll get into that. But let's read the Weymouth in Hebrews 114. It says, Are not all angels spirits that serve God whom he sends out to render service for the benefit of those who before long will inherit salvation? Just think that God is sending out angels for your help, for your benefit. Are you obtaining benefit from them? Are you enjoying the benefits? Do you know what those benefits are and how you could utilize them to your benefit, to God's glory? Amen. You know, a few years ago, me and my mother-in-law would kind of harass each other. She was, you know, come to me and do things to me that I obviously did not deserve. It's a mother-in-law, right? But one day, she was harassing me, and I told her, I said, Mom, you're messing with God's anointed. Don't mess with me. She laughed. She kept harassing me, and this was during a period of mad cow disease, and she told me she's gonna make me some special beef. She's gonna make me some type of meal with special beef. I said, Mom, don't mess with God's anointed. She was hot. About that time, she had this ceramic cow sitting on the shelf, had been there for years. She really liked it. It just fell off the shelf, boop, boop, boop, boop, and broke. I said, see what happened when you mess with God's anointed? Don't mess with me, Mom. Well, of course, we got a good laugh at it. No, an angel didn't come over there and knock it off the shelf and intending to hurt her. Angels don't do things to hurt people, they do things to help those who will inherit salvation. Amen. But I still enjoy telling my mother-in-law she messing with God's anointing. Don't mess with me woman. We had a great time together. I had such a lovely mother-in-law. She's in heaven today. I look forward to seeing her again. Hallelujah. Let's look at Psalms 103 verse 1. We're going to read the first six verses and then jump down to verse 20. It says, Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me. Bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits. We should not forget all the benefits God has sent to us. Well, we just found out that God sent us ministering spirits to our benefit to work on our behalf. Thank you, Lord, for angelic beings working for us. Verse 3. Who forgives all your
iniquities, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from destruction. Man, right there's a lot to be thankful for. Who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies, who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your mouth is renewed like the eagles. The Lord executes righteousness. You say, okay, that's great. The Lord does all this, but how does he do it? How does he accomplish some of these things, right? How does he do some of the work where he protects you, amen, where he blesses you? Well, it's tied to angels. You say, oh, I don't see that. Jump down to verse 20. For time's sake, we'll go straight to the verse 20. It keeps going on in this whole chapter, then gets to verse 20. It says, Bless the Lord, you his angels. Angels, bless and praise the Lord. We should also praise, bless, and honor God. It goes on to say, Who excel in strength. Man, angels are powerful. Man, they are big. They have extreme ability. God gave them divine ability to help us. I don't want some wimpy little angel that can't do anything. Man, with the way I used to ride motorcycles, I know I had a ministering spirit, a guardian angel that protected me, because there's many times I should have been dead. And if you look back, times that you were in a vehicle, or times that, say, you could have fallen, things of that nature, where an angel protected you. Angels were created with this ability to help us, amen, who do his word, heeding the word of his voice. Only doers of the words, people who actually read the word, and do the word, get results. Well, angels heed the word of God, and do his word, amen. That's all they do, is heed the word of God, and do his word. Doers get results, whether it's angels, or man. Rebellious angels get kicked out of heaven, and will spend eternity in hell. So,
angels heed, or obey the word of God, what he says. We should do the same, and we'll get good results. If you love God, you will honor his word, his words, amen. God knows your heart. He knows whether you're just giving lip service. We need to praise him, amen. But notice it says, heeding the voice of his word, or the sound of his word. Well, you can speak his word, and angels hear his word coming out of your mouth, amen. But many people have been by, standing by for decades, never speaking truth, never speaking life, never speaking the word. No, these things do not move me. I receive the report of the Lord by the stripes of Jesus. I am healed. They're like, oops, we can work on that. No, I'm coming up and out. I will find favor in this situation. My needs will be met by God, amen. All my needs shall be supplied according to his riches and glory, and boom. They're like, we can work on that on God's behalf. We can help this occur, and they're getting to work. Hold on, we're gonna get into the scripture, and back it up, amen. But a lot of people's angels have been waiting for months, and people say things, start to say things, they're like, he's gonna speak. Ah, we can't work on that one. We can't do that. They cannot support or minister God's goodness to you, because you aren't speaking God's word, amen. We need to declare a thing so that it's established, so that the angels can go, prepare the way, protect us, keep us, amen. God uses angels to do his work. He's not getting up... I got all this work to do. No. He's got millions of angels standing by to fulfill the Word of God that God speaks over you that you receive and decree. Amen. Whether it be claiming money, protection. Amen. Without delay, angels will cause it to come in quickly. Amen. But we've got to do our part and command those angels because angels hearken only to God's Word. Amen. What are you
declaring? How are you putting angels to work? Amen. Angels move at the sound of God's Word. They are ready to act. Man, it's just like my dog, Harley. If I tell her, say the word, walking, she's doing circles, all kinds of stuff. She is ready to go. She's ready to jump. Angels are ready, excited to work on your behalf according to God's Word when you decree a thing and send them forth. Stay tuned with me. We're going to go into how to send angels forth to work on your behalf. Amen. This is just the beginning of the work of angels. Who they are and how to put them to work for you. Amen. They are powerful, powerful beings. Glory to God. Well, this is Mike Kennedy with Living in Victory. I encourage you to speak the Word. Speak the Word over yourself. Speak the Word of life with power. If you speak God's Word, there is power being sent forth to produce life, victory, to sustain you, to keep you, to protect you. Amen. Well, this is Mike Kennedy with Living in Victory. Have a blessed day.
