- Hey, men and women, such an honor and a blessing to be able to speak to you again from right here at McKinney Texas at Live Fellowship Church. We love you, you're part of our church family. We want you to know that, and not only that, but if you're anywhere near the DFW Metroplex, when you get out, when you hit that gate, man, even if you don't live here, if you're anywhere around here on a Sunday, man, we want to meet you, come in, look for me, I'm at all the services, would love to get to know you, connect with you, get your coffee, sit by you, all that stuff, man. Your guys are my heart, and it just blesses my heart, man, when I see one of you guys come in for the first time and say, "Hey, man, I've been watching Live Fellowship "on the Pando app," what a blessing that is, right? Technology, my name's Logan Williams. My TDC number's 149-0218, and I have four numbers after that, but what I didn't have was, I'd never had the Pando app when I was locked up, man, and so I know it's been such a blessing. We have seen just revival happen behind the walls because of the ability for you to have so much access to God's Word, and teachings, and books, and the chosen, and the Bible recap, and all of the things that's on there, man, what a blessing, something I thank God for all the time, and you can tell your friends and family

that they can download the same Pando app on their phone, they can watch the same teachings, the same services, the same everything that you watch, and then you can talk about it when you talk on the phone or you see each other in visitation, or when you write letters, whatever it is, however you communicate, you can still, like, "Hey man, what the Holy Spirit say to you about that message?" And it's good to have that, man, to do this walk, especially with your family, or whoever it is in your life, whatever loved one that's supporting you while you're in this valley. God wants us to do this in community, and so tell your friends to download it, and y'all can do this together. Man, I was thinking this morning, praying, a couple of verses came to mind for you guys, they're very basic, and you all know them, but I just wanna speak God's word over you guys, because it's important, and it's super important to know who we are in Christ, because our mind in the enemy, in the world, and the people around us, and the gossip, and the slander, and all the noise will tell us sometimes other things, and that we're getting bombarded, right, by all this stuff, and sometimes we can't even get our head above that noise. We wanna believe God's truth about us, but it's just we're getting bombarded with all the negativity and all the stuff,

and so I just wanna speak this over you. Second Corinthians 5, 17, therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come, the old is gone, and the new is here. Guys, if you have called upon the name of the Lord Jesus, I don't care if you're in ad-seg, if you're a G5, and you're in the bottom of the prison, man, you are a new creation. I don't care what the mirror says when you look at it, at whatever's looking back at you, you are a new creation, you need to know that. You need to know that in your heart, and if you've never called upon the name of the Lord Jesus, to be saved, it's just that simple, man, to believe in the finished work of the cross, to just come and say, God, I am a sinner, and I wanna lay all that down, and I'm calling on you, Jesus, to save me. It's just that simple, man. I just wanna encourage any of you, any of you that are watching that haven't done that, man, I just pray right now that the Holy Spirit would just fall on you and convict you, and you could get saved by the Holy Spirit, the power of the Holy Spirit right now. 'Cause you know, sometimes we look in the mirror, man, we see all the stuff that we've done, right? All the addiction, the shame, the crime, the sexual sin, all the stuff that we've done, and that has culminated in my life being in this place.

I know that feeling. I know that feeling of looking around a prison saying, God, Lee, man, has it really all come to this? Man, I'm not doing that anymore. I'm gonna change my life, and then coming back, and then saying, man, I'm really mean at this time, and then coming back, and I know that many of you that are watching have been multiple times around this way. Guys, anything is possible with God, but we gotta get all in with Him. We gotta get all in with Him. Yes, we may be in new creation, but we have got to fight against sin, man. We gotta strive to live. to stumble. We are going to fall into sin. We're going to be deceived. But it's like, how do we respond to that? Like a good way to gauge that is ask yourself the question, does your sin bother you? Does it bother you? And how do you respond to that? Do you run to Jesus or do you kind of metaphorically speaking hide or run away from him? Are you more distant? Do you pray less? Or do you run to him and say, God, man, I sin to help me. Remove it. I confess it. And I'm not only do I confess it, but I just claim and declare that your word says that if we confess our sins, you're faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and to cleanse us of our unrighteousness. Not only are we forgiven, we're cleansed. In fact, there have been times in my walk that I was so convicted of a sin that I did, that I would confess it. And I would just continue on, man, for days like, God, man, please forgive me for that. God, man, I did that thing again. Please forgive me. And I could almost hear the Holy Spirit like, Hey, man, I already forgave you from that. It's in the sea of forgetfulness. It's east from the west. But do you have that conviction in you when you do stumble? If not, I just want you to pray and ask the Holy Spirit to fall on you and to give you that. Another verse that came to mind today was 2 Corinthians 12 and 9 that says, "But he said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses so that Christ's power

may rest on me." Man, because I know some of you are feeling weak. Some of you are feeling just your self-esteem is at an all-time low because you're in prison, because you're wearing white, because you're in this situation that you're in. Maybe the addiction that you have in your life, that you had that led you to prison or maybe that you currently have. I know if you're in prison in Texas, there's a good chance there's a current addiction in your life. Maybe that's worn you down. Maybe you've tried and tried to lay that down, to lay that sin down, or to lay that drug down, or to lay that thing down, but you failed. It seems like there's no strength left in you at all. You just want to give up. You just want to throw in the towel. I've been there, man. I know what that feels like, but the heart of God, man, is to rescue. He's saying, "In your weakness, his strength is strong." I want to just encourage you, man, that his grace is sufficient. His power is made perfect in your weakness, but we've got to know that in the moment so that we can apply that and declare that over our lives. We're in new creation, and it's actually not a completely horrible thing if we're feeling weak because his grace is sufficient and his power is made perfect. I just want to encourage you guys with that. I know that it's not easy. It's not easy walking this walk anywhere. The Bible says that the narrow road is difficult, man. It's like many will search for it and few will find it because it's hard. It's a hard walk, and I know that it's even harder in the place that you're at because there's people coming against you and hating on you and pointing at you and saying, "You just got that Bible out so you don't have to participate in a game," whatever, so you don't have to get down. You're going to have people hating on you. It's hard in there, but I'm telling you, if you can find a way to practice these things while you're in there, you're going to be miles ahead when you hit that gate because it's easier out here. It's easy to find like-minded people out here. You can just go to any church and you can find people to come around you. You can find people to walk with you and do James 516. Confess your sins to one another and pray for one another that you may be healed. That is a difficult thing to do in some of the facilities that you're at. I know to find that person that you can walk with. Guys, if you don't have that person in your life, may pray and ask God to bring that person in your life. I believe he will answer that prayer because it's so important, like I just said earlier, we're never meant to do this walk alone. I just want to tell you guys, it's been one of the number one most powerful weapons for me to, number one, stay clean, stay off drugs, and number two, advance in my Christian walk is James 516. Having brothers that I can confess myself,

Because yes, if you confess your sins to God, you will be forgiven. I said that earlier, first John 1-9. But if you confess your sins to a brother or ladies, if you confess your sins to a sister, you'll get freedom. You'll get healed. And we want both of those things, right? So I just want to encourage you guys today, man. I just want to encourage you, man, like God sees you. He loves you. He's for you. Put out of your mind, whatever it is that's going on around you, what you're hearing, what you see, what you hear, and what you feel, those things will deceive you. The enemy will use, especially your feelings, to distract and deceive you. But we need to stand on what the Word of God says. And so I just want to encourage you any chance that you get, man, to declare these truths over your life. I want you to do that, that the spoken Word is powerful. And if you don't have that like-minded person around you, man, pray and ask God to bring he or she into your life so that you don't have to do this walk alone. And if you do have that person or a group, maybe you're in a Bible study or something in the facility, you're like, man, thank God for that. Because that's such a powerful thing. Don't take it for granted and use those brothers and sisters that God has placed in your life to do that. Let me pray for you.

Father, we love you and we thank you. We thank you for just your blessing. We thank you for the Pando app. God, I thank you for all the souls that have been saved because of this technology. I thank you for all the people that were saved, that were heading down a slippery slope that stopped and turned back because they heard something on this app that touched them and changed them. God, your Word is amazing. And you tell us that when it goes out, it does not return void. And so God, I just know, just based on the number of views that we get and who knows how many views total are on that app, that your Word is going out and out and out and out. And God, I thank you, man, that it does not return void, but it fulfills the purpose that you intended for it. And we thank you for that, God. God, I thank you for your forgiveness, your mercy. I thank you that your mercies are new every day. Man, I thank you for just that you can transform us. I thank you that your Word is true. And God, I just pray, man, for anyone who is discouraged, who is growing weary. I pray for a weary soul, man, that is just surrounded by negativity, that is just surrounded by thoughts and by words that are telling them they're not good enough, telling them that they'll never make it. Whatever that is, God, I just pray

that you would supernaturally just speak above that noise in their life, that you would let those brothers and sisters know right now, man, how much you love them, that love, man, that changes things, that love that passes understanding, that love that God, just have a moment with every one of these brothers and sisters, with their heart and your Holy Spirit, and just let them know how much you love them and how valuable and important that they are to you. And so, God, man, we just invite you in. I'm just praying, you're anointing over this service, over this message. I just pray, God, that those seeds would land on fertile soil, God, and that you would provide the increase. And just pray that you would give these brothers and sisters ears to hear and eyes to see this fresh manna that you have for them. And God, I pray that you would bless their families while they're gone, that you would be a provider for their families, that you would be a father to their children, that you would be, that you would just meet those needs, God, in a supernatural way. And God, we love you so much. We just bless your name today. We just give you praise. We're just so thankful, God, for all that you are doing through this app and in our lives, that you've left 99 to find us and called us

and chose us and you've saved us, God. Man, I pray that no one ever, ever, ever takes that for granted, no matter what's going on around us, God, that we could just rest in that, knowing that you love us with a love that we can't even fathom or imagine. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] You guys know I'm a really, really calm guy. I'm a toned down kind of guy. So tonight, I'm going to encourage you with one thing. What is the Lord wanting to do in your heart? It's all about the heart tonight. What is He wanting to do in your heart tonight? You know the banner started, you guys know in 2021, when the whole world was shut down because of COVID and all the sickness is happening. And we were stuck in a little city in Seattle, Washington, where there was no church for a year and a half, two years meeting regularly. Then on our hearts, my wife and I, PG, decided to start a movement out of our garage around a fire pit sometimes to talk about what the Lord was doing. Because there was a major uproar in the people in the community of why things were not, people were not meeting. Their suicide was up. Depression was through the roof. Anxiety was running rampant everywhere. And we knew the Lord had laid a burden on our hearts to create a space and a place in an atmosphere for people to be able to come. And to present their issues, their troubles, their anxiety, their fears. So we started the banner, here we are. Gosh, five years later, can you believe it, babe? Five years later, we are doing the same exact thing. And here is the simple reason why we believe in your generation. We believe God has called you. He has equipped you to take out whatever the enemy meant for evil. Come on, in the name of Jesus, and we're going to say, "Holy Spirit, would you have your way tonight?" So tonight, the banner is going to be really, really simple as always. We're going to have our theme message. Pastor Ron is going to kill it. We're going to have salvation, we're going to have communion, we're going to have baptism. Come on, if you feel like you've been wanting to get baptized, or you have not had an opportunity, the Lord is laid on your heart right now. And shortly after baptism, we're going to go right into the commissioning of the saints. Come on, to be sent out. Because you're not going to get nothing here. You're going to keep within. You're going to leave this place today. You're going to go tell somebody about the goodness of the Lord. Amen? Yeah, baby. Amen. Isaiah 33, 6, it says that he will be the stability of your times. And I felt like this week, just from what the banner started, like God is here, he knows what you're going through.

He wants to be the stability, but how can he be the stability when your heart isn't fully for him, right? Come on. I want to ask you, is Jesus fully the lover of your soul when you don't want to let go? Because a lot of us want Jesus, we hold hands with him for a little while, but then we let go when we want to do our own thing. When the world seems like it's going to satisfy us more than God can, and he can't be the stability if you're going to go in or out like that, right? And so tonight is all about the heart posture. He wants your heart to be broken, and so I want to encourage you with that verse when he says he will be the stability of your times. It's your time today because we're not promised tomorrow. Amen? Amen. Come on, and last but not least Ezekiel 22, 6. You guys already know what it says. He sought the man to fight the battle, to do the work, to pray, to seek, to fight for a generation. And it says he found the one. My prayer is this, that this room is full of people, that the Lord can count on to go and reach your generation. There are people are hurting, there are people who are dying, there are people who are going through fear and anxiety, and guess what? Bible says to approach Christ will child like faith in my prayer tonight is that you would dance come on you would sing you would shout like a three or four-year-old little girl boy that's gonna go crazy for the Lord and with that before before we pray there's some vacancy right about right here there's some vacancy come on y'all in the backpack here come on bring it forward let's be a big old family tonight worship in Jesus move on up move on up let God do a mighty mighty work in you tonight that is our only plea from this evening that he would be glorified amen let's pray father we just lifted this night to God every single person who is here is not here by accident father we pray that you will pierce our hearts Lord God that we will break for what breaks yours Jesus and that we will grow closer to you than we've ever been before God that we won't walk out of this place the same person God but Lord that we will be fully dependent on you to lead and guide our every life guide our every area in the name of Jesus amen that's worship y'all we magnify you in this place oh there is one on the throne Jesus holy he is worthy of grace and the other there is one on the throne my Jesus holy and he is worthy of praise and the other glory we sing worthy who was planted in the throne in all of the elders creatures they bow giving praise to him in his own sin

And there's this lamb that they see There's this lamb in his name is Jesus. He cannot tell you something that lamb is in this room tonight So the reason that we sing these songs and other they're kind of cool and they have a nice progression, but we sing these songs It's because there's one there's only one and his name is Jesus. He's the only one that can save you He's the only one that can heal you. He's the only one that can set you free And that same man is in this room tonight. So can we continue to sing about Jesus in this place? There's no one like the Lord One more time sing that Worthy is the Lamb What's the latest in it on the throne There's no one like the Lord There's no one, there's no one The elders and creatures they've got There's no one like the Lord You guys, we serve a great God We serve a great God If you don't mind, I will dispense with the pleasantries I have the privilege of leading a group My lovely wife is over here Who I am does not matter But I believe that God wants to speak something to everyone in the room here tonight We've got a theme that We've been praying into It's about the heart And as I think about this theme There are some things that have been on my heart If you don't mind, I'd like to share them with you Right now as we speak There are people in the country of Nigeria that are fighting for their lives Right now as we speak There are people smuggling Bibles into China There are people there The underground church there would have the word of God There are people all over the world that are memorizing scripture Because it is illegal to have the word of God there Right now as we speak

There are underground churches that are meeting in the Middle East Because they have had an encounter with the worthy Lamb of God Because it's burning that's within my heart Because right now as we speak Those same people who are being persecuted Are on their knees crying out for the people of this nation They may have just buried a child But they're crying out for you They may be hurting because their village is burned down But they're crying out for you Why much you ask are they crying out for you Because they're waiting for a people in the country of America A country where it is free to lift your hands And worship the living king They're waiting for a people to awaken to the reality that God has called There is something, there is something on the inside of you. But if I can be honest with you, as I was preparing for this, I forget to ask God, what do you want to say about their hearts? Because I'm not here to make you feel guilty about the fact that there are people who are living in much worse situations whose hearts have not wavered in the face of persecution, in the face of slaughter, in the face of oppression. I'm not here to make you feel bad, but I'm here to awaken you to the call of God that is on your life. As I look through and I process what God is doing, if I can be honest with you, I begin to look at the culture. Why is it that we don't have the same conviction that they have? Why is it that we are sold out the way that they're sold out? Why is it that we're not burning the way that they're burning? And I know that this is a hard message, but if I can be honest with you, God really showed me something. See, I think that there's something shifting everywhere that we look. It seems to be chaos. Losing cultural identity of Christianity here. Anxiety, depression, running rampant amongst our generation. If I can be honest with you, my first point of instinct was to blame the culture. It's the culture. It's the culture. But if I look at the verse that we've been given as our anchor verse for tonight in Joel, I begin to study the chapter. And in Joel's day, some of the same

things that we're facing now are happening there. There's pestilence, there's disease, there's heart brokenness, there's all manner of chaos that is going on in all of these places. But as we look at what Joel says, Joel doesn't even look at the culture. Can I tell you what Joel says is the issue in the hour that he's speaking about? Joel points to the heart. Joel points to the heart, not the heart of those that are unbelievers, but the heart of those that are believers. Can I give you guys some context? If you open up to Joel chapter 1, Joel opens up with disaster. And there are a couple of things that I wish we had the time to unpack. You've got the day of the Lord, you've got judgment, you have all of these things. But there's something that he highlights. He highlights something called locusts. Anybody know what locusts are? Locusts, the fields are ruined, the vines are dried up, fig trees are stripped. There's no joy in the land. But if I can be honest with you, Joel is talking about the locusts and I was so confused with just a couple of moments. I was confused because I'm like, what are the locusts symbolized? I used to think that the locusts was this attack of the enemy, right? We talk about the attack of the enemy, pestilence and all of these things that are happening, how oppressed the church is. But when I began to look, the locusts actually represent the judgment of the Lord on his people. God sends the locusts. It's the same thing that he does in Exodus. Pharaoh's heart is hardened. And therefore he sends place. And because of the place that he sends, that he sends one called locusts, everything is consumed. But can I tell you that God gives us a solution whenever the locusts show up? Okay. Second Corinthians 7, second Corinthians 7, if you have your Bible, second Corinthians 7, he shows us something. Second Corinthians 7, I'll go to it in my Bible. I'm sorry, second Chronicles. Second Chronicles chapter 7, verse 12, Solomon dedicates the temple. This is the second time that God shows up to Solomon. He says, I've heard your prayer and I've chosen this place for myself, a house of sacrifice. Verse 13, he gives him a warning, "When I shut up heaven, and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land." There it is. Or send pestilence among my people. Verse 14, this is where it comes in. When God sends a pestilence among the land, when he sends the locusts, when there was disturbance, the first thing that we do is we don't turn and look at the "If my people, if my people, not the ones doing the persecuting, not the ones who have said

that they are unsubmitted to God, if my people who are called by my name would humble themselves. If my people would humble themselves, if they would pray, if they would seek my face, if they would watch this turn, what does it say that he will do? Then I will hear them. Can I tell you about something? What if the very thing that we've been crying out for is waiting for us to turn and respond to God? We're praying for God to tear down anxiety? What if the anxiety is the very thing that God is using to get a people to turn and look at him? You don't believe me? I'm telling you right now, there are times where God will show up in my life and allow things to happen so that I have no other choice but to turn and depend on him. This is what the people of Nigeria understand. This is what the people are trying to understand. They have no other option but Jesus. They have no other choice but to turn to him. Yet here we stand. God, I've got anxiety. I can turn to you. Or I can scroll on my phone. I can turn to you. Or I can run back to this relationship to fulfill me. I can turn to you. Or I can turn to lust. I can turn to you. Or I can choose my own way. And this is what he's saying in Joel. Joel chapter 2. He tells them, "Rend your heart, not your garment." Listen, what God is after is not behavior modification. Can I tell you something? Good preaching is not going to save America. Good worship is not going to save America. You want to know what God is after in this hour? Soft hearts that would heed the voice of God that are completely sold out for the purpose of his kingdom in this hour. Can I tell you something? If we never sing another worship song, you know what God is actually after? This right here. How do I explain to a mother in Nigeria that is burying her child? How do I explain? In a couple of weeks, I'm getting ready to go to Sri Lanka and I have the privilege of going. I'll be preaching on five days that I'm there. How do I explain to them, "Yeah, America, we've got great worship. We've got these great preachers." But in the same way that you have heartbroken people here, we've got heartbroken people there. People that don't understand and see all of these different things. They don't have the worship that we have. They don't have the pastors that we have, but they have one thing that I so desperately desire for this generation to get. Can we be a people that are so sold out for God, that it does not matter

what we face? Can I be so real with you? We're in a dog fight. We are in a dog fight. This is called the banner. Do you know that that is one of the names of God in Exodus, the Amalekites that come against the people of God? They win. And Moses, he builds this altar, he calls it Jehovenisi, the Lord, my banner. I don't know if any of you have ever been in a dog fight before. Anybody's ever been in a fight, anybody's has ever been in a war. Any military veteran is here that have been in war. I don't know if you're in the room, but I can tell you this. Anytime you go into a fight and your heart is not in it, you are destined to lose. And if I can be so honest with you, I feel like we are losing the battle right now in America. Because God is looking for people. That will say, yeah, I know chaos is coming against me, but I'm yours, Lord. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know they're talking bad about me, but I'm yours, Lord. I know I have this I know God, I've got all these other options, but I'm yours, Lord. Is there anybody in the room that has a soul that'll hurt for God, that is willing to say, God, you are my banner. It does not matter what I face. It does not matter what options come forward. You are the answer. You are the one that my heart desires. You are the lamb that is worthy. I know we've got a couple of minutes. We're gonna go back into worship. But as we get ready to go back to the worship, Ryan, if you guys are ready. None of this is not even where I was going in my notes. I'm gonna just give you the gospel on its truth. God's not after your service. He's not after your service. If you can do anything for him, give him your heart.

Give him your heart. I'm gonna read one thing to you. This blew my mind because as I was reading and preparing for Joe, do you know what happens after they repent and they turn? We get this beautiful verse that everybody loves to quote. Verse 27, "Then you shall know that I am in the midst "of Israel, I am the Lord your God. "And there is no other. "My people shall never be put to shame." And watch this, here it is. "And this shall come to pass that I will pour out "my spirit on all flesh. "Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy. "Your old men shall dream dreams. "Your young men shall see visions. "And also on my men's service and my main service. "I will pour out my spirit in those days. "And this shall come to pass." Here it is. You're ready that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. (congregation applauding) Has nothing to do with who you think you are. Has everything to do with the surrendered heart. If we want to see the spirit of God poured out in this hour, it starts with us. It starts with everyone in this room. It starts with the surrendered heart. So as we go into this moment of worship,

surrender it all. Nothing hidden, nothing hidden before him. Spirit of the living God, pour out your spirit in this place. Nothing hidden before you God. Have your way, your people. Have your way, your people. And the mighty name of Jesus, amen. How we love you Jesus. You're so beautiful. You're so marvelous. Yeah, yeah. There's no one like you Lord. You're so lovely. I'm wonderful. It's hard. You stand alone in glory majesty. Everything else out of your feet. Everything else out of your feet. Your name is higher than any other name in all the earth. I want to give us a picture really moment. It's really quick. It's out of Isaiah chapter 6. It's often known as kind of like the missionary chapter. But there's a picture that we get in the first part. Before we can say here am I send me. There's a something that happens to Isaiah. It says that it was in the year that King Isaiah had died. It says that he saw the Lord high and lifted up. There's something we have to understand. Even contextual in this moment. This was like a beloved leader. There were other nations that were coming in on the people of God. And King Isaiah was keeping them at bay. And so there's something we have to understand contextually that was happening in this moment. It was in the year of uncertainty. It was in the year of insecurity. It was in the year of fear. It was in the year of impending doom. Isaiah says I saw the Lord wear high and lifted up.

And then we get into this imagery. It says the train of his robe began to fill the temple. There's also a word picture that we have to understand. That when a king would conquer another kingdom what that king would do is he would cut off the robe of the conquered king and he would attach it to his robe. So it was understood that the king with the longest robe was known to be the king that was the most victorious. So the image that we're seeing in the year of fear, in the year that King Isaiah died in the year of uncertainty, in the year of my depression, in the year of my anxiety. Could we see the Lord high and lifted up? Could we see a Lord that has never lost a battle? He's never seen a sickness that he can't cure. He's never seen a person that he can't heal, that he can't restore. He's never seen a family that's hit too hard, too dark. He's never looked at a university campus or a high school and said there's no way I can save them. He's the God who's never lost a battle. So Isaiah has this incredible encounter but it transitions to where he sees this. The temple begins to fill with smoke and he's having this encounter with God in you. He says, "Woe is me." He says, "I'm a man of unclean lips and I live among the people of unclean lips." He says, "But my eyes have seen the king." So there's this wrestle that we have to go in our walk where when we see him for who he really is, there's an understanding that in our sin and in our iniquity we don't measure up to his standard and what he calls us to. Scripture says that all are sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. We see there's this beautiful moment that happens in Isaiah 6. He says one of the seraphim takes a live coal from the altar and he flies down to Isaiah and he touches his lips and he says, "Be clean, your sins have been atoned for." And it's in this moment that Isaiah has this beautiful response that we all love to quote. So he gets up into the Council of Heaven and he gets a peek into what's happening It's the Council of God and they're saying, "Who's going to go for us? Who's going to be a witness for us?" And the response of Isaiah says, "Here am I, send me." We have to come face to face with our iniquity. We have to come face to face with our standard of how we haven't measured up to God's standard. As I was thinking about this little section, I was thinking about the story in John 5.

Jesus is walking around town and he finds himself in a pool, it's the pool of Odessa. And surrounding this pool were a bunch of lame people, blind people, people with all sorts of sickness. And there's one man that this story seems to hone in on, and it says that this man was an invalid for thirty-eight years, and there was something that these people believed about the pool, they believed that an angel would come down, and this angel would swirl the water, and if you could be the first guy to get in the pool, you'd be healed. So you could imagine the scene was quite chaotic, it says that there were five colonnades, which means basically there was room for a lot of people that were all trying to get into the same pool and were all trying to get the same miracle. But Jesus walks onto the scene and he locks in on this man who'd been invalid for thirty-thirty-eight years, and this man's so locked in at the pool, Jesus walks up to him, says, "What do you want?" and says, "Do you want to get well?" and this invalidity begins to scoff at the Son of God, he says, "Who are you? Get out of the way, I don't want to miss my opportunity to get into the pool. There's only chance for one of us, and we never know when it's going to happen. I got to keep my eyes locked in the pool, the Son of God was right there before him, but he was so fixated that the pool could heal him. It's so much belief in something that had absolutely lacked power and had no ability to restore, that had no ability to heal, but the Son of God was standing there before him saying, "Do you want to walk?" But he was distracted by the pool, he was medicating with the pool. When Jesus was offering him real bread, he was offering him real power, and if I'm honest, I think some of us are stuck medicating at the pool of Bethesda. We're medicating with pornography. We're medicating with abuse of alcohol and drugs, sleeping around, you name it. And medicating with popularity, if I could just get more popular, then maybe my depression could be gone. If I just had a little bit more money in my bank account, come on somebody, then maybe all my problems would be fixed.

I want to tell you tonight that there's only one who can heal. There's only one who can restore, there's only one who can redeem, and he's standing in front of you tonight saying, "Do you want to walk?" Do you know what's funny about the pool? You say they all believe that an angel would come down and swirl the water. But in reality, there was an undercurrent that was completely natural, that every once in a while, the water would begin to bubble up. It was nothing supernatural. It was nothing of power, but people were staking 38 years, waiting for a miracle for something that was just a natural thing happening under the current. I want to tell you tonight that drugs has no power to heal. That pornography has no power to heal, that popularity can't save you from the pit of hell. But tonight, there is one standing before you, saying, "Do you want to walk tonight?" So I don't know what you came into the banner with. I don't know what depression you're currently going through. I don't know what your anxiety is tonight. I don't know what your home life is like, but I do know there's a God that 2,000 years ago loved you so much that he gave us one and only prize, and it was his son. And Jesus Christ, he came down and he put on flesh and he lived a perfect life. (soft music) You see, cuz scripts are says for the wages of sin is death. Right, we all have an understanding, right? If you do something wrong, there's a consequence. If you break a law, there's a consequence. Well, agree. You all agree? Yeah. So when God made you, he put a standard in place. And we messed up.

We've all sinned. And it doesn't matter if you stole a Skittle from the gas station or you're a murderer. You're in need of a savior. And the penalty of your sin is death. But this is the beauty of the gospel. God sent his son. And he took our place. And he died so that you could live. Cuz you're one more story really quick. So my wife and I, we were leading a ministry school in Nashville, Tennessee. In our ministry school, we have like an interview process, like a vetting process. But we have this one kid, he kind of snuck into our training school. We found out day two that he had a worn out for his arrest and he was a convicted felon. We're like, oh shoot. We made a mistake. So I was on the weekend and I'm getting all these phone calls. And I knew that on Monday I'd have to come in. We'd have to have a conversation with him and we'd have to dismiss him from our school. What I didn't know what was happening is all of the guys in our school, they wrapped around him and they said, bro, we're gonna pray for you. You see, what was wrong is he owed the court some money. He had about a $10,000 debt that he needed to pay for the courts. We see this kid was broke. He was living on the streets just weeks before. So that weekend all of our guys, they start surrounding him, they're praying for him and one of our guys gets a word for him. He says, I think you should call Jeff, my name's Jeff. He says, you should call Jeff. And so he calls me nonstop. I don't answer. It's a Saturday.

I normally don't answer my phone on a Saturday. He's getting all frustrated. But he asked the Lord, you said I needed to call Jeff. He'd have the answer. Well, he remembers he grew up in the foster care system and one of his foster dads that he hated the most was a guy named Jeff. And so he finds a way to get this guy's number and he calls him in faith. He calls him and he begins to connect and he tells his story about how he met Jesus and how he's trying to serve the Lord. But he's got this debt hanging over his head. And so this guy that wasn't even his biological dad, he says how much he needs, son. He says, I need $10,000. He says, okay. Let my wife and I pray and we'll get back to you. So he calls him two hours later. And he says, son, I want to let you know that my wife and I were going to pay off your debts. But here's where this gets so crazy. This kid never walks into the courthouse, never has to face a judge. His dad walks into the courthouse on his behalf. Says, I am here to represent my son. He has a debt that he can't pay. But I am standing in place as his father and I am dropping a $10,000 check and I want all of his debts paid. Oh, come on. We got to get this. He was on his way to prison. He was on his way to jail. His life was about to be destroyed, but his dad stepped in. And paid a debt that he couldn't pay on his own. So he walks in, he drops a $10,000 check and he gets a receipt. Oh, my God. I remember on Monday getting to look where my friend, he comes up to me and goes, look. Oh, my debts have been paid. And I'm getting hit with the heart of God because this was a picture in real life of what God did 2,000 years ago. You had a debt over your head. And you couldn't pay it, but your father walked into the courthouse and he said, I'm going to put down his debt. I'm going to pay for his debt. You never had to step into the courthouse, but you got a receipt that says debt free.

So tonight I want to give a call. Can we all just stand for a second? I know we're getting cozy, but would you stand with me? I want to give two calls tonight, and then we're going to respond and then we're going to do one more thing. But I don't know what you walked in here with. I don't know what your family life is like. But I firmly believe, as some of you, you walked into this room, not really sure about the Jesus thing, but you know you are in desperate need of a Savior. You've been going to the pool, you've been going to drugs, you've been going to pornography. You found yourself more depressed, more anxious, and you keep asking yourself, is there an answer? Look at some of the shirts around you. It's a walking billboard tonight. Is there an answer for my depression? Is there an answer for my anxiety? Is there an answer? I don't want to tell you tonight that Jesus is the answer. The cross is the answer. So tonight, if you say, "Jeff, man, I haven't been totally sure about this Jesus thing." I got dragged in here, man, I don't really know, but I know I need something in a second person tonight. Say, "Man, I want to follow in Jesus, but I've walked away and I've gone back to the pool." I've gone back to the medication, for my depression, for my anxiety, for my fear, for my insecurity. I've gone back to the medicating, and I'm not talking for scripts and drugs, I'm talking about the pornography, the lust, the alcohol, the drugs, trying all the things when Jesus is just saying, "Would you come back to me?" Because I'll make you walk and you're saying tonight, "I want to come back to Jesus. I haven't been living like a Christian. I haven't been living like someone who's met Jesus or has your God used to, but there's

some things that happened in my life." Tonight you're saying, "I want to come back and I want to go all in for Jesus. I'm going to count to three." I just want you to raise your hand. You're just saying, "I need to go back." Jesus, he's standing here before us tonight and he's saying, "Do you want to walk? Do you want to walk out of your depression? Do you want to walk out of your self-hatred? Do you want to walk out of your bitterness and your offense and your unforgiveness? He's giving you an invitation tonight, so I'm going to count to three, and if you fit one of those two things, I want you to lift your hand. One, two, three, come on, come on, yeah, we can give a hand, come on. Yeah. Keep your hand up. We're going to respond in a moment in worship, but I believe that we have a ministry team. we've been healed As scripture tells us that... [MUSIC PLAYING] So in part of what we're doing is we're joining in with an ancient practice for 2000 years that church has partaken in and there's many different interpretations of what this means and there's something I felt to highlight is that there were these early church fathers when they looked at community and they looked at the bread and the wine, they didn't believe that it was just mere wafer and it wasn't just juice but they believed that God's presence that this was a visible sign of an invisible grace that it was a window into another reality and there were some church fathers, they even believed that this was a way that you received grace and so we're going to go back into worship and I believe as we partake of the elements that God's going to meet us tonight and so I want to ask a simple question, is there anybody in here you need healing in your body, you got a broken bone, you got a hurting back is literally just Eddie, come on man, man is anybody recently struggled with a little bit of anxiety, maybe a little bit of depression, maybe a little bit of fear, I believe tonight is we approach the table of the Lord, that there is power still in the blood of Jesus, I'm crazy enough to believe that when scripture says that by his stripes were healed, that he actually still heals bodies, he actually still restores minds, so we're going to go back into worship or maybe you need breakthrough for a family member, maybe you're asking God to heal a mother, a father, a grandma, a grandpa, cousin, an auntie, an uncle, I believe tonight is we approach the table of the Lord, that real power still flows from Calvary, so I would invite you, would you open up the top, you can get a little wafer, then you can peel back the second layer and you'll have the juice, now I'm allow the team, they're just going to take us back into worship here and I want you just to have your own moment with the Lord, I want you to come to the table with your pain, your hurts, where you need God to move in your life and I want you to bring it to the Lord, and I just believe that we're going to experience the power of the blood of Jesus tonight, we're going to experience the power of the broken body tonight, so Lord we approach your table, we bring every infirmity before you tonight, we bring every sickness God, we bring every ailment, we bring every family member, we bring the co-worker to the table, we bring that neighbor to the table,

we bring that family member that's running to the table, and we believe that your blood still flows and it speaks a better word, so Holy Spirit would you come and meet us as you have met the church for 2,000 years as we approach the table of the Lord, the team is going to lead us in worship and as the Spirit leads you, I want you to partake in the elements, we're not all going to do it at once but just as God leads you, we're going to go into worship, we're going to celebrate the blood and body of Jesus, let's partake together. Man, I feel the presence of God in here right now Man, I feel like he's just doing something special And I was reminded of Isaiah chapter 53 For Jesus, he was wounded for our transgressions And he was bruised for our iniquities The chastisement that brought us peace was upon him Watch this and by his stripes, we are healed You know, I heard a pastor say this once This pastor said, "Hey, there's a difference between wounds and bruising Wounds are external, but bruising is internal Can I tell you the stripes paid for both tonight?" Whether you have physical pain in your body or emotional internal pain Can I tell you the stripes paid for both over your life? Man, I believe that Before we move forward, I just feel that someone, you're struggling internally, mentally or emotionally Can you just raise your hand right now all across this room? Don't be shy, yeah, come on, come on, I see that all across this room Jesus, I speak to every hand that's lifted within the sound of my voice right now God, I thank you That you have not given us a spirit of fear But of power, love and a sound mind Jesus, I thank you That the enemy seeks to steal, kill and destroy But God, you have come to give us life and life to the fullest And so God, I thank you Lord, what's mine is up for taking And God, that is a promise that you give us Is that we will have perfect peace And so God, I speak to every demon of depression

I say you must leave God, I thank you Lord, that you are in the room You are moving in our midst And Jesus, I pray For every person in this room Holy Spirit, we thank you And I believe this That when the people of God gather in the house of God Anything is possible And here, I'm gonna get out of here here real quick Because I still believe God's moving But I just want to testify The Bible says that we overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony I was at the banner I think it was last August, I believe, around that time frame And my wife and I, we were youth pastoring For over five years here in the North Texas area And Pastor Eddie brought us out to come minister here at the band father had taken his life and so I had a plan when I was preaching at the banner last time but I said I'm going to throw that plan out the window, I'm going to call Logan and I'm going to let him know that there are hundreds of youth and young adults that are wanting to pray for this young man and so I called him, I put him on speakerphone, if you were there you remember and I held my phone up and we pray beauty for ashes, joy for morning, praise for heaviness and I got something special tonight because when I was in Arizona where my wife and I just recently moved to I got a text from Logan he said hey I heard you're going to be at the banner I'm going to be there and I said Logan can you help pray for the people in the room? let me tell you this young man has a thousand reasons to give up on God and we pray for him but I believe that he wants to pray for you and so I want to invite Logan where are you at where are you at come on let's go come on come on Logan

we're talking about the heart and I believe and this may step on some toes I understand there may be lost people in the room tonight but I believe there's also a lot of Christians in the room could it be that you've maybe grown familiar in your heart towards the things of God and I wonder if you could remember about the first time you said yes to Jesus and when I think about that first love fire I look at people like Logan people like Logan who say I have a million reasons in the world to give up on God but I'm not going to give up on him matter of fact I'm going to take what the enemy intended for evil and let God use it for good and so right now man I believe that God's going to shift something in your heart if you're battling with addiction or you feel hopeless let me just say Logan is a living breathing testimony that God is faithful to see you through it's all right now can we just stretch our hands to heaven just to receive come on I think the atmosphere is going to shift I'd encourage you if you want to pray I want you to pray but Logan can you just lead us and pray your bro and my father took his life I was so broken but God was so good the prince of peace is in the room if you are anxious the prince of peace is in the room if you are depressed the joy of the Lord is in the room tonight holy spirit move Jesus we desire nothing but you father I could say everything right I could say my testimony I can share more testimonies and I can even remember but father I can say it perfect but if my heart posture is not in the right spot then it means nothing if we would just say his name with the right heart posture it would be more than enough if you have your prayer language just begin to release it quiet his name Jesus Jesus I want you to think right now I don't want you to put your hands up if you really don't meet it if you're broken get broken right now because the father wants to meet you where you're at tonight if you're depressed let your depression hit you because right now you're in the presence of God the depression is not hitting you it's hitting the spirit of the Lord in every knee must bow before him depression must bow before him suicide must bow before him anxiety must bow before him addiction must bow before him our God has no rival our God is a breathing loving God he has more thoughts about us than every sand on the seashore the moments that you're asleep he's over there keeping the blood flowing keeping your heart pumping because

that's the same heart he wants to use to break through to your family to break through to your schools to break through to your work to break through to your mind Jesus we pray that our mind is your dwelling place father our mind is your dwelling place Jesus break through father get us desperate meet us where we're hurt Jesus restore us you're the Redeemer whatever boy your mother or father left he's here to restore whatever generational trauma he's here to redeem the curse redeemers in the room father become against right now any impure spirit that's preventing breakthrough whatever we bind on earth we bound in heaven father we bind those right now not by my authority but by the authority he's giving me in Jesus name and we come against right now we rebuke right now with the name of Jesus depression must flee anxiety must flee anger in your heart must flee lust must Get desperate with him. I promise I was so broken. I tried to hide my hurt so much. I tried to hide it I went in school. I said I was okay. I got put on anti-depressants. I masked my hurt with medicine I masked my hurt with pornography. I masked my hurt with women And I just one day got in my bed And I said I'm done I can't do it on my own I simply can't and I cried out to him. I said, where are you if you're gonna meet me where I'm at where I'm at Then where are you? And I remember I was in my bed He said I'm right here You just need to look at me because whenever you draw far I draw near if you think he's far away He's right here next to you saying just open up your heart. You just receive me Just let me in The Lord's giving me a picture of this white drywall And I think what he's trying to show me is that there's a wall and it's it's not thick It's not a brick wall, but it's just enough to stop him from breaking through and he's saying I can break this wall But I want you to break it because I want you to want me That's what the Lord's saying right now. He wants you to want him So if you need to come to this altar if you need to go sit down if you need to close your eyes If if you need to just relive what you're running from do it because the father's saying hey You weren't alone. I was right with you

You didn't feel it alone. I was right with you Jesus become to you We come to you with so much glory father we come to you you are worthy God you are worthy Jesus But father you are worthy you are holy you have so many names. You have so many things you could be doing right now But he is in the room. He is ready to meet us where we're at Don't ignore him tomorrow's not promise these next couple seconds aren't promised This could be your only chance to say Jesus here. I am Jesus. I am broken Jesus I do want you Jesus things for my child that have not been healed, but father you are here So fix that your eyes on him fix that your eyes on him and let him heal what therapists couldn't Let him heal what doctors couldn't let him heal with pornography couldn't let him heal with lust couldn't let him heal Let him heal with you couldn't because we don't know me I think God right now is telling me to tell you guys that he wants to he wants you to remove whatever image you have of him and think of a father and Everlasting father not in a father that will not a father that will abandon you not a father that has ever looked at you In shame not a father that has ever looked down on you, but it father that's desperate Think about if you had a son and he ignored you all of his life and out of nowhere. He said dad Me if that was me if I was that father, I would whip my head so fast and be like son you want me Your everlasting father has the same love and attention to you just say his name Jesus And he'll be like my son you want me and he'll break through like a rushing wind his Holy Spirit fire will rain upon your body Jesus we give you things for the miracles you're gonna do Give you thanks Logan. I want to pray for you can you slip your hands, bro Man, can you stretch your hands towards this young man of God Lord? I thank you for him God. I thank you That he who began a good work in his heart is faithful to finish it and see it to completion God, I thank you Lord. What the enemy intended for evil God you have worked for good in his life and God I thank you Lord that bitterness didn't get the best of him anger didn't get the best of him worried didn't get the best of him But Logan said I'm not gonna be I'm not gonna be captive or victimized by my circumstances But I'm gonna take the test that I'm facing and make it a testimony for those around me And so God, I thank you for his life I thank you for his anointing and God. I pray whatever was on his heart tonight God, I pray it would get on the people in this room right now in Jesus name God that the hopeless would leave feeling hopeful that the fearful will leave full of faith God that the anxious will leave full of

Everything that you have for them Jesus name Amen Thank you Lord. Come on. Come on Come on Thank you, holy spirit And I don't know about you, but that serves my faith That serves my faith And I for the next few moments. I want to invite you here Into water baptism. I want to read you a verse in Romans 6 How can we who died to sin still imminent watch this do you not know? The all of us who have been baptized in the Christ Jesus or baptized into his death We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death in order That just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father we to my walk in newness of life Come on. I want I want that new life Let me just ask let me just ask how many of y'all believe that when you say yes to Jesus you step into new life Come on. That means you step into a new identity. You step into a new identity. I want you to imagine this I want you to imagine this. I want you to imagine if somebody walked into this auditorium right now watch this Somebody walked into this auditorium Went line by line It made false accusations about your life What if somebody walked in and said you are a racist You are a murderer You are a bigot You are x y and z you would do everything in your power and say that's not true This person is lying and that is not true But yet when the enemy Tells you you're something you're not you're like you're right

Let me challenge you banner that you and I have stepped into new life That means we've taken on a new identity in Christ And this is what I believe this is the last thing I'll say and then we'll I want to invite you into water baptism You know there's this thing in the shoe community they're called unauthorized authentic They're fake shoes They look exactly like the real thing I Have a confession I have multiple pairs Why watch this let me see your eyes all across this room I love them Because I can look the part and not pay the cost And let me challenge us in the room all of us myself include we got our Jesus merge We got our crisis the answer merge and maybe just maybe we look the part, but let me ask you have you paid the cost And I'm inviting you into a deeper level of intimacy with him What is baptism? It's an outward expression of an inward decision and for some of you You may have got baptized for a multitude of reasons that you do not even agree with maybe you got baptized because you are pressured by your parents Maybe you got baptized because it's just what you did Maybe you got baptized because you found yourself at this place where you just say yeah, I guess I'll do it But your heart did not burn when you got to that tank And I want to invite you whether you've been baptized years ago, or you've never been baptized and I do not care how many Bible verses you know, I don't care how many VBS's you've attended I don't care how many banners you've gone to if you look the part, but you haven't paid the cost it's for nothing Why are you being harsh because I'd rather offend you into intimacy than coddle you into something that's not that Come on. I believe God is racing up Young men and woman of God who don't just want to look the part But they want to say God on the good days I'll follow you on the bad days all follow you on the mountains. I'll follow you in the valleys all follow you And so I believe I'm stirring for you some of you your heart is beginning to beat. Let me just tell you that's God speaking to your heart right now It's a right now. It's closed all across this room

I really feel from the Lord that there's an urgency on tonight for some of us in here. The call has gone forth for baptism, those of you. It feel led to what the call has gone forth, for repentance of heart, the call for salvation that's gone forth. But as I was praying, I felt like these aren't the only ones that are needing in this moment. I always hesitate when doing things like this because I don't want to take away from what God is doing, but I felt it so strong in my heart that there's a resistance to stepping up because you're worried about what others may think of you, or you're worried about what it may look like for me to take this step, or there's a resistance there, but can I tell you, now is the best time of your life. (audience applauding) You are now promised the next moment. And if I could speak to you with just a little bit of urgency, do not wait. There is someone here under the sound of my voice. You know that God is calling you to step deeper in with Him. Asking you, would you take the step?

Would you step out of the bowl? Would you take the leap of faith with me? And will you say yes to walking and doing this journey of life with me? (gentle music) And in the same way that Paul says, "I have no problem begging you to take this step with God." Now listen, the choice is yours, the choice is yours. No one is gonna force you to step into this. (gentle music) But I promise you, it's the best decision you will ever make in your life. Time is running out. There is an urgency in this hour. Do not miss this moment to change the very trajectory of your life. Here's the thing, it's the last thing that I'm saying. I remember sitting back on the call of God on my life, waiting. And I finally said yes, and God, awoken me to the reality that there are people whose destiny is waiting on your yes. I met a woman on a bus. Right after I rectified my life with God. And I've since the presence of God said, "Hey, go and speak to this woman." I said, "God, I don't know. I'm still messed up, man. I'm jacked up."

He said, "Go speak to this woman." I sat on that bus and I never spoke to this woman. And the image of her face has never left my eyes. I tell you, I have dreams where I see this woman's face. I don't know what she was going through. I don't know what God wanted me to say to her. But can I tell you, I will never know because I never took the leap of faith. And my prayer tonight is that you would never wait. Do not wait. There are destinies and generations that are waiting for you to awaken to the reality that God is calling you. So my prayer for you tonight. Don't wait. Listen, as baptisms go forth, it is not too late. It is never too late. While you've got breath in your lungs, it is never too late. So do not wait. God that are here tonight, Lord, to come together in capital C church mentality, God, and unity to worship you and to lift you up, God.
