Step Outside Yourself | Crossroads Reels

In 2007, my wife and I were part of a mission trip to a place called Mamalodi, South Africa. Here I am going to serve, right? Here I am going to make a difference. And yet God met me with something that I needed. My wife and I, this is a picture of my beautiful wife, Maria, and actually the woman in the middle, her name is also Maria. We're building a home for her behind you there. My wife and I, it was 2007, we had been trying to have children, had been unable to conceive, and we're just dealing with infertility. And one of the things we've learned from our partners in Africa is how to pray in And so we had a chance to be prayed for by one of the mothers of the church over there. When we asked that, she went from my wife's belly right away, and she started praying this prayer of faith, in the name of Jesus, this womb will be open, there will be children in this womb. She went in, and guys, that next July, we had a baby. I'm just telling you, there is something that happens when you step outside of yourself, you meet God, you learn, you grow, and you get to be a part of the way that we serve and meet needs.
