00:04As you mature, there's this temptation to stop showing your weaknesses because you think that's what's supposed to happen when you mature. That cannot happen as a church and it cannot happen in your life. It can't. Why? Well, because the math doesn't work this way. It's not weakness minus weakness equals power. Don't confuse that in this message. This is not a message of if you give God your weakness, he will take it away and make you strong. No. The context for Paul saying, "My grace is sufficient for you. My power is made perfect in weakness." Is when Paul begs God to take away the thorn in his side, the weakness. And God goes, "Not going to do it." It's not weakness minus weakness equals power because the math also isn't my power plus God's grace equals power. That's not the math. He goes, "I've got a hundred percent. I'm asking you to recognize that you've got zero." Because when you recognize that and you get the math equation right, my weakness plus God's grace is what leads to power. Period. Period.
