Resurrection The Divine Receipt By: Dr. Pete Norris

Today, Elder Powell, in the Word Not become, might not be saved, might become the righteousness of God in him. See, when we understand that immediately we're in him, he wants to live through you. He's doing it all. He's put the spirit of the crying Abba Father on the inside of you. He gives you the faith that you're operating in. According to Romans chapter 12 verse 3, you've got the measure of faith. You and I are walking in a place that is beyond anything anybody's ever seen or heard. There's never been anybody like us, guys. Resurrection, the divine receipt. Welcome to Power in the Word. Understanding the power of the resurrection of Jesus Christ is imperative for believers. Why? Because it separates Christianity from all other religions. So today, Dr. Nosh, shows us just how important the resurrection of Jesus Christ is and how it empowers believers if we simply believe by faith. It's a powerful message packed with revelation, so stay with us. We're going to talk about the resurrection, the divine receipt. Now, I want you to understand that God just didn't make a payment for us. God was the divine receipt showing that we've been resurrected. In other words, if you go back to a store after you bought something, you can take it back and exchange it if you got your receipt. So you and I, the next time the enemy tries to talk to you, you can raise your receipt and say, showing that he's been resurrected and I've been resurrected, and now I can just show my receipt. Amen? So, I want you to turn to Romans 4, verse 24, and we're going to get going. Now, I want to stop right there. But also for us, so he's talking to all believers, right? He's talking to everybody. It shall be imputed. In other words, imputed means your sins have not been held against you.

Now, I want to make a statement in just a minute. And I want you to really listen to me. Up until the law came, nobody's sins were held against them. Because we see it with Adam. So nobody's sins was held against them until the law came because Jesus had covered our sins when he covered Adam. Amen? And then in Exodus 19, we know the law came. And in Exodus 20, we know the Ten Commandments came. So immediately, when the law came, because they said in Exodus 19, we don't want you to judge us anymore based on your goodness. You tell us what you want us to do and we'll do it. So Exodus 20, the law came and they couldn't live it, right? And so, up until that point, nobody's sins was held against them. Now, you've got to really listen to me. Because nobody's sins was held against them until the law came. Because there was no consequences. If there was no sin in the world, then there was no consequences. But until the law came, we didn't know what sin was. Because here's the thing. Smoking, drinking, and doing drugs is not your sin. It's the sin nature that makes you a sinner. So we see here that sin was not held against us until somebody made a law to tell you what sin was. That's why when Jesus, in the beginning, when God asked Adam, he said, where are you located? He wasn't talking about where you're at in location. He was talking about where you're at with me. So we've got to understand that he didn't see sin, only Adam did. Are you with me?

Because there was no results of sin and there was no consequences of sin. They didn't even know what sin was until Adam recognized he had sinned. Because God didn't recognize he had sinned. And because Adam recognized he was a sinner and he lost his conscience, immediately then, what did God do? He gave an ultimate sacrifice and killed the animal and put the sacrifice, the blood over him, and not cleansed him, but covered him of his sins. And sustained him until Jesus could get here. Right? So there was no consequences of sin until the law came. Now, you and I are past sin. Okay, look at verse 25. Who was delivered up on account of our sins. So we know that he was delivered up on account of our sins. He was taken to the cross and resurrected because of our sins. And he was justified because of our justification. In other words, you and I are justified and declared righteous because he paid the price for sin. You can't be a sinner. It's impossible. We've got to understand, listen to me, we've got to understand that in John 3, I believe it's verse 14, Jesus said, Even though I'm here standing before you, I'm in heaven. We've got to understand that we have died, resurrected, ascended, and seated in heavenly places, and live in that dimension even though we're earthly. So what Jesus did is he came to earth and dominated the earth by his heavenly mentality.

He didn't fall into the mentality of the earthly realm. He stayed heavenly and kept the atmosphere of heaven all the time even though he was in the earthly mentality. He didn't have an earthly mentality. He had a heavenly mentality. And you and I want to... live in the earthly realm and not operate in the heavenly mentality. So the death, burial, resurrection is the place we're seated at not the place we're trying to get to. Are you hearing me? So you gotta understand something. The cross and the resurrection deprive the Adamic nature from you. The Adamic nature no longer has any rights to you. So when you start thinking or talking about sin consciousness you've missed the whole boat of who you are. You gotta understand this until you can live that heavenly realm in the earth you're never gonna dominate in the earthly realm. Because listen to me, listen to me. Everything that you see was created out of something that couldn't be seen. In other words, somebody saw it in the spirit and spoke it into existence and then it came and manifested out of the person that spoke it. That's why Jesus, that's why God in the book of Genesis created everything and spoke everything out of what was nothing into something because everything that you and I see are temporary but everything that we don't see is eternal. So we're eternal beings living in a physical world but we're dominated by what's on the inside of us and not what externally is out of us. That's the realm we should be living in and that's exactly what Jesus did when he come to earth. He said I've come not to destroy people but to do what? That people might be saved.

People might be changed. Why? Because he lived in the heavenly realm even though when they was going through the cross and he was being crucified and all the things he was going through he felt that pain but he knew that on the inside he was going to resurrect. See, you're not sure you're going to come out of your mess. You need to listen. You're not really sure you're going to come out of it. So you can't dominate the physical realm because you're so dominated by the physical realm itself. We live too many hours in the physical realm. Go to Galatians 2 and 20 in the New King James. I have been. It's past tense. Now every one of you know exactly what I just said but we don't live there. I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live but Christ who lives in me. So it's no longer I who live but Christ who lives in me. Now think about that a minute. It's no longer about you. It's about you knowing that you've been dominated and eliminated from existence because now Christ is living in you. You live and move and have your being in him. That is the seated position that we have. Listen, we are so carnal when we think about missing it because we have a sin consciousness and not a God conscious. We're God conscious. We're not supposed to be sin conscious. Oh, I miss it. I've hurt somebody's feelings. That is all carnal. And that's what Paul told the Corinthian church. He said you've got to live from the inside out. Everything you see is temporary is subject to change but the things that you don't see are eternal. That's where you and I are living. You and I are living in eternity now. We're not trying to get there. I have been crucified with Christ. It's no longer I who live but Christ lives in me and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me. Live by the faith in the Son of God. Now think about it just a minute. I'm in his faith. Now he's the one that said I'm in him.

Right? I didn't say that. He said I'm the one. I have been crucified with Christ. I no longer I who live but Christ now lives in me. Is he dominating your life? Or is the world dominating your life? See here's the thing. People don't grow today because growth to them is more gifts. That's not growth. Growth is when you're no longer moved by circumstances but you're only moved by him. And when we can understand that we're not dominated anymore by the external realm and when and all the things... Listen, when you can get to the point that the external don't bother you anymore you've reached a place that 99 percent of people never get to. That's why Jesus was not dominated by the external realm. What was going to happen to him he said it's not quite the time. So he slipped through the crowd. But when the time come he said do what you were sent to do brother. Because you can't stop this. You may can eliminate this but you can't stop who I am in him. Do you know Jesus was in Christ? Oh that will mess the church up. Because I've eliminated and made them two different people. Because they are. Jesus was the man in the flesh. Christ was the man that was carrying Jesus through his time. Oh come on. Now once we realize that Jesus and Christ was two different people. That Jesus was in Christ before the foundation of the world. You and I were in Christ before the foundation of the world. That's why Jesus could come to earth because he knew who he was in. It was not his last name. It was the anointing that he was walking in. And the resurrection that was going to... See, the Bible said, and the book of Acts, that this man called Jesus was going to be called, what, Lord and Christ

after the resurrection. So how many of you know... I want you to get a picture of this. How many of you know that Jesus was in Christ before the foundation of the world? That's why he wasn't worried when he came to earth and took on flesh and dwelt among an infill of truth and grace. See, we've missed the concept that he walked invincible. He was invincible on the earth and nothing ever happened to him. That's not true. He learned to tune the outside world out and live on the inside out. That's why he could stand on the cross when they crucified him and said, Lord, forgive them. They don't even know what they've done. They hadn't destroyed him. They had given birth to him. See, troubles don't destroy you. They give birth to who you really are. And that's why Jesus knew that he was in Christ before the foundation of the world, so he knew what was going to carry him through time. Remember what it said just a minute ago? That he resurrected the Lord, Jesus Christ. Now, let's go on here. I want to read this to you in the Passion text. Watch this. My old identity has been co-crucified with Christ and no longer lives. It no longer lives. My old identity no longer lives. And now the essence of this new life is no longer mine, for the anointing lives his life through me. We live in union as one. My new life is empowered by the faith of the Son of God,

by the faith of the Son of God, not the faith in the Son of God, the faith of the Son of God. In other words, I've got Christ's faith once I realize he's carrying me and he's living through me. It ain't about me anymore. He's doing it. See, you're worried about things because you're a coronel. How many of you think Jesus had a bank account? He had a treasure, so he must have had some cash, right? But think about it a minute. He kept 12 guys following him, 82 guys really, 70 and 12 and... Right? So he had about 75 guys, 85 guys following him all the time. And he looked after them. What did he tell Peter when he said he was going to get taxed? Go catch your first fish. But he told him how to do it first. He got on the side of the boat, taught him a little bit, and he said this is how you do it. Because he understood in Genesis chapter 1 that he had the power over the fish. He said, cast right there and that fish will be right there waiting for you. And when you catch him, pull him in, and that coin will be in his mouth and you'll pay my taxes and yours. If you notice, he didn't get a job at McDonald's working two jobs so he could make this thing work. He used the authority that was inside of him to create everything he needed to create. Oh, you ain't hearing me. See, the church is sitting around waiting for God to do something. He's waiting for you to do it. Why? Because he's already done everything. He's waiting for you to create it with your mouth. You create everything you have. The life you're living right now you've created because of who you believe are on the inside. See, if you understood that the devil is defeated, you wouldn't be paying any attention to him. How many of you just, if people talk to you and you're not interested, you don't pay them any attention?

You ever learn how to tune people out? Thank goodness, right? But we haven't learned to tune him out because we don't recognize the voice. We don't know whether it's God's talking or the devil talking. Or if it's us talking. But if you knew the words, you'd know who's doing the talking. Right? And so you'd know who you're in. See, regardless of what you do, it's based on determining what Christ in you. Watch what he said here. Empowered by the faith of the Son of God who loves me so much that he gave himself for me. Dispensing his life into mine. Oh, my Lord. He just poured himself into me. And now I'm living in that finished work of that resurrection. Guys, come on. Get a hold of this. Christ is the finished work of the resurrection. You're not living in that. I ain't trying to be harsh. My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge, Hosea 4 and 6. See, if we don't know who we are, he's going to certainly tell you who you ain't. But we haven't got a hold of that in Christ. Now, we got it when I'm preaching it. But when you're all alone in the back in the box in the dark at home by yourself at night, it's got to become real inside of you. See, just because the Bible says it doesn't make it real to you. That's why everything's about faith. You don't go by what you see, you don't walk by sight anymore, you walk by faith, right? What faith? The faith he's given you. He resurrected us out of the anamic nature into the righteousness of God. Think about it a minute. He took you out of sin, so why you talk about it?

Now, I want to stop right here. I want to go back here just a minute. My old identity has been co-crucified with Christ and no longer lives. So, let's say something. Now, I'm not trying to mess you up here. Okay? I'm not trying to mess you up or tear up your religion, but I'm trying to help you think differently. You're never going to think differently as long as you talk about the old man. Think about it a minute. Most people, man, I remember when I was a loser. Why don't you start? being a winner i don't talk about my past much my past ain't no good and it's dead and buried and it's resurrected so i'm a new creature old things have passed away and hold all but things come new now see you haven't discovered who you are you're still living in the past trying to get to the future and the future don't like the past the past can't go into the future your past can't go into your future somebody needs to get a hold of that your past can't go into your future you can't take the old man to where god wants to take it cause in christ there ain't no old man everything's new and if you don't come in with a new way of thinking you can't get in there you can read the bible all you want to and parakeet preach all you want to and quote things all you want to but if you don't know who you are you ain't never gonna get there and that's exactly what's wrong with the body of christ we haven't discovered who we are we sit around and say well you know i'm a new creature old things have passed away but do you really believe it when you're alone are you looking for things to come your way favor blessings and goodness and mercy to follow you jesus created the things that he desired for

remember when they went off to get some mcdonald's lunches in town and he stayed with the woman at the well they went to get mcdonald's lunches you remember or they might have gotten i don't know kfc but they brought it back and they told jesus they said look we brought some more food back you want to eat he said i eat the food you know not of he won't look at anything he was fed off of her righteousness oh you ain't listening to me see he was changed because he knew what he he went out of his way to meet that woman at the well but if you notice something that well was joseph's tomb oh my god that'll preach see because joseph's tomb was the place that he met the woman in samaria at the well he wasn't even supposed to be talking to her she wasn't even supposed to be talking to her he said if you drink of me you won't ever thirst no more honey she didn't know what he was talking about but after he left she knew who he was talking about because she said he's the christ remember she said i've met the messiah and then she went off prophesying and telling everybody she was shacked up you know and she went off and told everybody i've met the messiah i've met the messiah she became evangelist just meeting him at the well because the old one passed away but when she discovered who he was she knew then she was in that man that was talking to her see we haven't met him we went through a ritual at church and gotten saved but he's captured you paul understood at the end of his life the thing i've been trying to apprehend apprehended me the thing i've been looking for got me one translation said the thing that i've been searching for had already searched me out and found me see god ain't never been lost

you ain't found god he ain't been lost he's been right around you your entire life and been in you your entire life and you just didn't recognize it and so here's the mentality of the church i just want to go to heaven man if i can just get to heaven praise lord praise the lord praise thank you jesus if i can just get to heaven i'm not looking to get to heaven i'm not looking i'm already there see until you get that mindset you ain't even going to live in christ because we're moved by every circumstance and every situation that comes around us because we don't know who we are you say well preacher i get tired of hearing this well get it then and i'll stop preaching it because jesus preached the kingdom of god and that's what the kingdom of god was he said the kingdom of god's at hand the kingdom of god's inside of us see if you really believe the kingdom is inside of you you wouldn't try to live the world system you can dominate the world system with what's inside of you it ain't even fair the devil don't even have a chance and he don't know it because he keeps you intimidated and eliminated and you don't even realize that you've been illuminated and if we could understand that we would understand what god's doing let's go to first peter two and twenty one for to this you were called because christ also suffered for us leaving us as an example that we should follow his steps look at twenty two who committed no sin nor was deceit found in his mouth how many of you know he committed no sin now i'm fixing the shaky cage about jesus you ready now look at this word sin

that's not a verb he couldn't sin because he didn't have a sin nature he had to lose his perfect divine nature to take on sin nature he didn't go out and sin we've missed the boat on that one because we think well jesus didn't go out and smoke and drink and do drugs who said i can show you where he popped a whip in the thing and turn some tables up and down he had a temporary issue evidently he got uptight in there didn't he he looked at the disciples and said one of y'all is a viper one of you is a pure devil and he looked at peter and he said brother i'm praying for you because they're trying to sift you and they did sift him even with jesus praying for him so jesus committed no sin then let me tell you something how did he die because if he hadn't have died spiritually he could have never died physically and the bible says in first timothy three and sixteen that he was justified in the spirit so that means that sometimes he was unjustified in the spirit for him to be justified in the spirit Now he was born into perfection. How many of you know he was born into this earth in Christ? He was Jesus but he was in Christ. Because he didn't come through the seed of a woman. So he was born perfect. He was born what he was into and what he was going to put you in.

So he had to be born into it so you could be born into it. Now he was the first person ever born again out of it. How many of you know he was born again out of righteousness? In the sin. He died and resurrected out of sin and was made righteous again because you were declared righteous. And once everybody in the earth was declared righteous then he was declared righteous and he could get up. But until the sin problem was met and Jesus' sacrifice was the ultimate sacrifice that met the needs for all mankind, he couldn't get up. The righteousness of God is more real than the church understands. Christ committed no sin because he couldn't. Jesus could have. But because he was in Christ that's why he couldn't. Listen to me. He couldn't sin. You say, Pastor, he could have sinned. No, he couldn't. He didn't have a sin nature. You weren't a sinner until you were born that way because of the fall of Adam. You're not bad. You're just born into it. And then you were born again out of it. Isn't that a beautiful picture? And Jesus was born into sin because here's the thing. You say, Pastor, explain that. I'm going to. I'm glad you asked me. The results of sin was death. So without sin there couldn't be any death. That's why Jesus couldn't die on the cross. He had to give it up. He said, I commend my spirit unto you. They put everything they had against him, all the sin in the whole world, and it didn't kill him because he didn't take it on himself. But once he committed that to that and he said,

Father, forgive them. They don't know what they've done. I commend my spirit unto the Lord. In other words, once he let his spirit go, what happened? He gave up the ghost and he was gone. And he laid his head where? In the new creation of what he was going to be and what he was going to create. That's the word K-L-I-N-E and that word bowed there in the actual text. And what he done is he bowed his head in his new creation and you and I were the new creation. Everybody got up and once he was crucified and died, they buried him and three days later he gets up. He didn't go to hell and preach. He went and eliminated hell. Oh, the church ain't ready for that. He went and eliminated hell and death and the grave so that you and I no longer exist there. That's why we've got to understand who we are in Christ or we're never going to live in the dimension that God is. We go through our whole life living less than who we really are. Go to 1 John 3, verse 5. Stay with me now. And you know that he was manifested. How many of you know that he was manifested? In other words, he was revealed to do one thing. To do one thing. What is it? Take away our sins. Now watch this. I want you to get this. I want you to get this. Because if you look at the word take away, that's the word ario in the actual Greek. It's A-I-R-O and it's the same word in John 1, 28.

Behold the Lamb of God who's going to take away the sin of the world. Same wordage, same usage in 1 John 3, verse 5. And you know that he was manifested to take away our sins. Now think about it. How did he take away our sins? When he eliminated death. Because the results of sin is death. And if there's no sin, then there's no death. So what did he do? And in him there is, there it is again, no sin. That isn't a verb either. In him is not a sin nature. He come to destroy sin and put sin away. Isn't that a beautiful picture? See, we've heard this all our lives. Jesus died that you'd be saved, brother. Or if you just believe in Jesus, he died that you'd be saved. He died that you'd be saved. Saved from what? What are you saved from? Now most people think that's hell. He said, for God so loved the world that whoever believes in him should not... That means see death. And then he looked at some of them. Remember he's standing there? He said, some of y'all are not going to see death until this happens. We ain't got that either. What he was talking about is I'm going to remove sin so death no longer exists in you. See, you can't die. You're too much alive.

That's why Jesus struggled in the garden of Gethsemane. He wasn't struggling with do I want to do this. He didn't know how to die. He's too full of life. You can't kill somebody fully alive. That's all the glory of the Lord is anyway. Man fully alive. See, if you understood that you were fully alive and not partially alive and didn't lose it and get it and quick it and over here and over there and have a little bit and lose it over here because you missed that sin or think something that ain't right, that's all garbage. That's a religious bunch of mess sending people to a hell that's in existence right now on earth. And it keeps the church all bound up and all tied up and religious and trying to fight demons every 13 seconds when you got the victory. Because the Bible said in 1 John 3 verse 8 that the Son of God comes to do what? Destroy the works of the devil. He comes to loose us from the powers of darkness. Listen, he has no control of you anymore. He can't even go before heaven. anymore and tell God how bad you are. He can't even accuse you anymore. Why? Because Jesus ascended to heaven and earth and he cleansed heaven and earth so that Lucifer can't even go up there anymore and talk about you. Isn't that amazing? Remember what he did? He went up before Job and he said, I've looked at your servant Job. Went into heaven, the Bible says, right? And he said, I've seen your servant Job. If you'll take your hand off of him, I'll get him. He said, you can do anything you want to, but you can't take your spirit. What was he doing? He was showing Job how to live. He said, Job, it doesn't matter what comes at you, I'm going to turn it out for you good. And if, listen, if you'd understand your, that's why Job didn't talk when he was in trouble. He got down in his sackcloth and shaved his head and as all the guys come and sit around him, can you imagine coming to church and you've got a bunch of issues for about six months and getting a bunch of

men to sit around you and your women to sit around you and they ain't going to talk to you for about seven days. Or they're going to tell you everything you've done wrong. Remember the guys that come and said, you've done something wrong, brother. God's putting this on you. And Job didn't talk for seven days. You know the story? And then after seven days, Job began to pray for other folk and he'd come out of it. Why? Because he realized that he won't end nothing. But an eternal struggle that was about his existence of who he was and the real him was going to come out. That ain't a symbolism for me and you to walk and go through struggles. That means for us to override struggles and not be moved by struggles. Sackcloth was an example of dust of which you and I came from. That's why the Bible said that Lucifer, the curse in the garden, that he was going to eat the dust of the rest of his life. Who is he talking about? Mine from me and you. That's why he crawls on his belly now. He eats the dust of the earth. That's me and you. How many of you know you're going to go back to the dust of the earth? What for? So more can be created or so that you can be victorious. See, you ain't even going to show off until you shed this thing. You're just practicing now. Let's go to 2 Corinthians 5 and 21. Him whom you know sin. He made him whom you know sin. See, there's that word again. No sin. No sin. Him whom you know sin. He didn't even know sin. That ain't a verb either. To be sin, that ain't a verb either. For us, he became sin for us. He took the sin nature for us. You already had it. But he took it for you and it was a great exchange that took place on the cross. In other words, he took your sin and you took his righteousness. That we, we, we, we, we, we, that's a bunch of folks, might become, might become, not become, might not be saved, might become the righteousness of God in him. See, when we understand that immediately we're in him, he wants to live through you. He's doing it all. He's put the spirit of the crying Abba Father on the inside of you. He gives you the faith that you're operating in. According to Romans chapter 12 verse 3, you've got the measure of faith. You and I are walking in a place that is beyond anything anybody's ever seen or heard. There's never been anybody like us, guys. Think about it a minute. Resurrection, the divine receipt.
