You just have to tell your soul in there, praise the Lord, all my inner being. Praise his holy name. Praise the Lord, my soul, and do not forget any of his benefits. What is in the package of God's benefits? He is the one who forgives all your sins and heals all your illnesses. He is the one who rescues your life from the grave and crowns you with love and compassion. He is the one who satisfies your desires with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle. The Lord does justice and defends all the oppressed. In other words, we have a reason to worship. He showed Moses his ways, his works to the people of Israel. He does not treat you according to your sins, nor do you pay us according to the bad things we have done. As high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him. Aren't you tired of trying sin instead of trying and seeing that the Lord is good? We have to stop visiting them. We have to start staying in them.

And I tell you, when it comes to joy, you don't get joy by working harder. You get joy by staying closer. Because joy is not an emotion. Joy is a person. Joy is not an emotion. Joy is a person. So stay close to the person. That is why joy is a fruit of the Holy Spirit. Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness. Well, it is a fruit. we have to start staying. Here is the last thought. The movements we have to do to recover our joy, I have to go from happiness to joy, from visiting to staying, and from winning to giving. Winning to give. This is very important for us. Christmas is my favorite time of the year, even though my wife wouldn't agree with me because she calls me the Grinch. No, I'm just saying, respect the turkey. I'm saying that there won't be Christmas lights in October and that there won't be Christmas music in March. Something changes when you get a little older, when you get more mature. You start realizing that life isn't just about you, right? You're not the central character in this story. There are people who are 70 years old who never received the revelation that life isn't about you. And in 1 Timothy, this is what Paul writes, those who want to get rich fall into temptation and fall into a trap, into many foolish and harmful desires that sink people into ruin and destruction. Well, this is super important. Let's clarify something about bad theology. Because love for money is the root of all kinds of evil. Well, let's correct bad theology, okay? Money isn't bad. What is bad? Love for money. In reality, money is neutral. We say this a lot. Money is a great servant, but a terrible master. On a global level, we are associating with Missionaire International and Juventud with a mission, or YWAM, in India to bring hope to the Bedia people. This community is sexual and commercial workers and they believe that this is the custom and culture that comes from their ancestors. In some places, they perform dances, their cultural dance, which is called Rairi dance. And through that, they perform other activities such as sexual activities. The parents raise their daughters and at a very early age, 13 or 14 years old, they put their daughters in this sexual business. My name is Rani Kalawat and I am 29 years old. I dance. The dancers who work here in this establishment simply don't get married. They have a kind of mutual and private arrangement. I have an arrangement. I have two children. I'm doing what I do, which is blinding. But I want my children to receive a good education and I don't want them to get a job or any other service.

But I don't want them to dance or do any of that. Especially the girls have to get ahead. During generations, the girls in this area have been pushed to prostitution or marriage from a very young age just to help their families survive. But your generosity is helping to rewrite that story. And when you give this year, you are helping to build a home for children where vulnerable girls can heal, grow safely and really be seen, known and loved. You are helping to build a school for more than 600 boys and girls. And here they will finally have a real path to education and better opportunities in life. You are supporting a community health center that will provide constant medical attention to families who have never had it. And you are helping to create an assembly hall that will serve as a church, a place where the whole community can really get together, learn from each other. about Jesus and experience his love together. Meanwhile, at a local level, we are helping to cover urgent needs through our neighboring cooperatives and food dispensaries throughout the metropolitan area of Atlanta. We have the opportunity to intervene when our friends, neighbors, and families

need us the most. We have definitely seen an increase in families, 30% more this year compared to last year. But beyond the increase in numbers, it has been the fear and chaos they are experiencing. In recent years, the percentage of neighbors who need assistance has increased by approximately 70%. And with the government shutdown that ended recently, we saw an incredible increase, in addition to that 70%. I never thought I would break my COVID records, but last year we served more than 40,000 people and distributed more than 600,000 pounds of food. And we see that trend continue. I know that this year we are going to break those records. This is not just charity, what we are doing, right? They are our neighbors. We are all in this together. And this is a moment in which we are uniting, right? We had new people, people who had never come before. But you know what? We have partners like Victory. We have neighbors helping neighbors. We have people who take a step forward and we will always do it. And that reaffirms to me that there will never be a moment in which our community is not cared for. And thanks to your yes, this year,

mothers and fathers will not have to worry about having food for their families. Older adults will not have to worry about accessing the drugs they depend on. Single mothers will not have to choose between buying food or diapers, and much more. I've been here for a long time, several years. I've been here since 1998. I've been part of several of these collections over the years. And then, doing what I do now, I've been able to visit some of these places. And I've set foot on the ground in Ethiopia. And I was, if you were here at that moment, when we bought a brothel and turned it into a church. And I was at that first graduation ceremony of the girls who were rescued. They were taught skills for life. Most of them were born again at that moment. And then they were getting married, having children, in a completely different life trajectory. I went to the orphanage there in Addis Ababa, where I saw the children who are in the home that you built when you donated. I went to Nicaragua and saw the school we built, which transformed an entire community there. So many more things. I've been here in Norcross, Ethiopia, and I've been able to give. Their generosity does two things.

It literally changes the lives of people that you will probably never meet in this life, only in eternity. And that's how I say it. It breaks the gravity of greed in our lives. It starts to change the direction. The arrows in the flow diagram, moving them away from us and directing them to other people. And I tell you, it's more blessed to give than to receive. When we stop accumulating treasures here on earth, and we really start accumulating treasures in heaven. And that's how it looks when you start to enter God's game. Because it's more blessed to give than to receive. And if you're new to Christianity, and you're wondering why we do all this, let me give you one last scripture. 1 Peter 1, verse 8, speaking of Jesus. Although you have not seen it, you love it. And although you do not see it now, you believe in it and you are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy. Because you are receiving the final result of your faith, the salvation of your soul. And I just can't say it. In a better way, I believe, that when you have faith in Jesus, something is placed deeply in here, that begins to change everything. It gives you something bigger than your circumstances, on which to build your life.

It convinces you that no matter what is happening, if it is broken, God has not yet finished with that. If it is dead, God has not yet finished with that. And then turn on your life to activate, to go and share that same joy with the world that surrounds you. So let's take a few steps here in the next few minutes. Let's give together in just a minute.
