Buenos dias, como estan? Me alegra verlos a todos. Oigan, sabian que cada semana que nos reunimos tenemos un solo objetivo? De echo, podria resumir el objetivo que tenemos para ustedes. En todas nuestras reuniones, niños, jovenes, tenemos un ministerio de jovenes, adultos, increible en esta iglesia. Si eres un joven adulto, no te sientes bendecido? Se que no lo das por sentado porque no muchas iglesias lo ofrecen. Pero realmente creemos en ti y queremos invertir en ti. Por eso tenemos esto. Pero hay una palabra para describirlo y esa palabra es transformacion. Quiero decir, eso es algo grande. Puede que ni siquiera sepas lo que significa eso. Y sabes, es una gran palabra, verdad? Se origina de la palabra latina metamorfo y eso significa cambio completo de forma. De ahi obtenemos la palabra metamorfosis, que sabemos que ocurre con una oruga. Sabes, la oruga comienza su vida simplemente arrastrandose por ahi. Sabias que las orugas tienen 16 patas? Vaya, esos son muchos zapatos que comprar. Sabes que esa oruga hace sus compras en Payless y no en Nordstrom. Y esa oruga atraviesa por todo este largo proceso. Donde ocurre un cambio total y completo de su forma. Y asi es como pasa de simplemente arrastrarse a poder volar. Y creo que es una imagen hermosa de lo que exactamente Dios tiene en mente para nosotros. Quiero decir, Dios nos deja asombrados, no es asi? Realmente lo hace. A veces me pregunto, ¿será que realmente le estamos dando el crédito que se merece por la bondad que tiene? Espero que lo descubramos hoy. Una de las cosas que me encanta que estamos haciendo ahora mismo es que estamos recorriendo el libro de Juan y estudiando los evangelios. Mira, quiero decirte algo, porque sabes, tal vez tu estes en este lugar, tal vez seas un creyente joven.

Recuerdo cuando fui salvo por primera vez, nunca había leído la palabra. Y estoy abriendo las escrituras. Y sinceramente, viniendo de un trasfondo católico, diría que mi relación con Jesús era muy formal. No tenía una relación personal. No sabía que Él me entendía y no sabía que yo realmente lo entendía a Él. Y ciertamente no veía su humanidad hasta que abrí los evangelios. Y lo que es tan verdaderamente genial de lo que podemos hacer ahora mismo, al recorrer el libro de Juan, es que podemos observar detenidamente a Jesús. Podemos verlo en toda su humanidad como Dios y también como un ser completamente humano. Y eso fue precisamente lo que más me ayudó a entenderlo mejor. Eso fue lo que me ayudó a creer que realmente podía agradarle e incluso que Él me entendía. Así que oro para que lo mismo sea cierto para ti. Así que esta es nuestra dirección hoy. Ahora estamos en el capítulo 7. Y el capítulo 7 está lleno de valiosas lecciones de vida. Donde podemos observar a Jesús y cómo hizo frente a los diversos desafíos. Y cómo permaneció en una sintonía constante con el Espíritu Santo. Y cómo no se desvió ni fue desviado de su senda. Así que esta es mi esperanza para ti y para mí también mientras nos adentramos en este tema. Nos encontramos ahora en el capítulo 7. Entendiendo que están celebrando una gran fiesta. Se llama la fiesta de los tabernáculos. Sukkot. De hecho todavía la practican hoy en día. Y estaba hablando con mi rabino. Notaste cómo lo mencioné así nada más. Tengo un rabino, el rabino Jason Sobel, que es un nuevo amigo. Así que simplemente le pregunté. Cuéntame más sobre esto porque quiero entenderlo completamente para poder compartirlo contigo. Y una de las cosas que me dijo fue que el llamado es un tiempo de gran alegría. Es una gran alegría porque están saliendo durante el equinoccio de otoño.

Ya han cosechado parte de sus cultivos. Han recogido parte de sus cultivos. Y acababan de salir de una temporada seca. Así que las cisternas estaban bajas. Los niveles de agua estaban bajos. Pero ahora esto marca el comienzo de la temporada de lluvias. Y están a punto de recoger algunos de sus cultivos restantes como las granadas. Así que desde su perspectiva es un tiempo de abundancia física y espiritual. Así que están celebrando. Y una de las cosas que están haciendo aquí es construir tabernáculos para habitar en ellos. Y profundizaremos y hablaremos de esto en un momento. Pero ahora quiero retomar esa conversación tan significativa que Jesús tiene con sus propios hermanos. En Juan capítulo 7. Versiculo tres, los hermanos de Jesus le dijeron, sal de aquí y ve a Judea para que tus seguidores puedan ver tus milagros. No puedes hacerte famoso si te escondes así. Jesus, ¿cuándo fue la última vez que subiste un reel? Sabes que tienes que mantenerte en el algoritmo. No puedes quedarte fuera. Tienes que estar ahí arriba. Tienes que estar presente, Jesus. Esto se debe a que ni siquiera sus propios hermanos llegaron a creer en él. Ahora resulta sumamente extraño porque parece que en realidad sí creían. Bueno, creían en el poder, creían en los milagros, pero no creían en la misión y no creían que él fuera el Mesías. Quiero decir, sí, es cierto.

A veces puede ser difícil creer que tu hermano es el Mesías. Algunos de ustedes piensan que su hermano es un demonio, pero no lo es. Entiendo esa mentalidad. Lo bueno es que más adelante Santiago sería creyente y parte fundamental de la iglesia. Así que todavía hay esperanza para los miembros de tu familia. Pero Jesús dice esto porque ellos están tratando de presionarlo. Y él dice, ahora. No es el momento adecuado para que yo vaya, pero ustedes pueden ir en cualquier momento. El mundo no puede odiarlos a ustedes, pero a mí sí me odia porque lo acuso de hacer el mal. Vayan ustedes. Yo no voy a este festival porque mi tiempo aún no ha llegado. Es interesante porque leemos esta traducción moderna de ese momento en la historia y nos encontramos muy reflejados hoy en día. La gente odia la verdad. Hay algunas personas que te odian simplemente porque eres un cristiano que siempre dice la verdad. Y como puedes ver, estás en buena compañía. Lo mismo le sucedió a Jesús. Pero esto es lo que quiero que entendamos. Y esta es nuestra dirección hoy. Volviendo a esa palabra, transformación.

Porque este es el objetivo. Esto es lo que Dios quiere para nuestras vidas. Así que en lo que quiero profundizar es cómo ocurre la transformación. Y hay tres cosas que necesitamos saber. La primera es esta. La verdadera transformación ocurre cuando resistimos activamente las voces de la multitud. Tenemos una oportunidad. Tenemos opciones. Las opciones son dos, conformarse o transformarse. Verás, los hermanos querían que Jesús encajara en el molde. Querían que Él actuara, que se promocionara, que jugara para la multitud, todo eso, que fuera famoso. Querían que fuera un influencer. ¿Qué cosa tan triste, tan triste de hacer? Entonces Jesús les responde, todavía no es mi momento. Y esta no es mi manera. Él no permite que lo desvíen de su propósito. Verás, esa misma presión espiritual que enfrentó Jesús está ahora presente sobre tu vida. Porque el enemigo quiere que nos conformemos al mundo, pero Dios desea transformarnos a la imagen de su amado Hijo. ¿Cuál es mejor? Creo que la respuesta es fácil, ¿verdad? Verás, conformarse es presión de afuera hacia adentro, pero la transformación es poder de adentro hacia afuera. Uno quiere apretarte para que tomes su forma y su molde, y el otro quiere cambiar tu naturaleza.

Yo prefiero que mi naturaleza sea cambiada, convertirme en una nueva creación en Cristo, ¿verdad? Así que aquí está nuestra primera lección de vida, justo aquí, saltando ante nosotros. No permitas que personas que no entienden tu llamado determinen tu dirección. Y muchas veces incluso va a ser la familia. Así que no seas descortés, Jesús no fue descortés, simplemente no les hizo caso. Ellos lo verán después. Verás, a lo largo de todo este capítulo vemos que hay discusión acerca de Jesús. ¿Era un fraude? ¿Era un buen hombre? Verás, algunos lo amaban porque lo veían como un hacedor de milagros, y otros lo odiaban porque lo veían como un transgresor del sábado. Simplemente te minimizan y te ponen en compartimentos y deciden que ahí es donde perteneces. Así que Jesús tuvo que aprender a navegar la opinión popular, ¿y adivina qué? Nosotros también, y se puede lograr. Y aquí está la segunda lección para nosotros. Cuando tu identidad está establecida delante de Dios, no necesitas que nadie más la determine. Eso es verdadera confianza. Eso es poder de permanencia, confianza. Así que esto es lo segundo que necesitamos saber sobre la transformación.

La transformación ocurre cuando recibimos la verdad. as truth. What do I mean by that? You know, a lot of people ask me this question. Maybe you've been asked this question too. They say, how do I know if the Bible is true? They question the validity of the Bible. I don't understand. And then they tell you this. How do I know if it's true? With our arms crossed. Well, the interesting thing here is that Jesus is about to show us one of the most important factors that helps us discern the truth. And let's see if you can identify it while we read it. Okay, this is in John 7, verses 16 and 17. My message is not mine. This teaching comes directly from God, who has sent me to this world. Anyone who really wants to do God's will will know if my teaching comes from Him or if I'm just speaking on my own. Okay, I've given you a great clue up there. Do you see it? What is the answer? How do we know it? What is the determining factor? A willing heart. If you have a willing heart, you can discern the truth. This is what we understand.

Now I can tell you that from the first days that I became a Christian, I was a Catholic for 25 years. That was all I knew. And I got out of that. My family disinherited me. And now I'm alone, except for my boyfriend, Denise. He's still my boyfriend. But guys, I lived immersed in all this religion. Now, in this new environment, I enter churches where people like you find it strange and raise their hands. And I thought, well, I don't know what to think about all this. And I didn't even know how to pray. But don't you love how the Holy Spirit really guides you? He even showed me the simplest prayer to do. And it was this, the prayer. I said, it's okay, Lord, I'm afraid. I don't know if this is you or not. I don't know if this is real. But I'm only asking you one thing. If it's you, take me deeper. And if it's not you, warn me. He never warned me. I always take myself deeper. You'll see, the Holy Spirit can handle all your questions and worries. But you just have to lean on Him. That's what He's for. And I only had a willing heart. And so that was part of my path.

And even later, when Denise and I just accidentally fell into the ministry. We were ministering to people on the street, alcoholics. And I remember one night, after a time in the ministry, and I'm taking off my makeup. It takes about five hours to take it all off. And I look at myself in the mirror and say, you know what, Lord? I don't know if this is my call or not, but I'm willing to do it. I'm willing to do it. And I'll tell you, it's still part of our call. But there's something about having a willing heart that applies not only while you're reading the Word, but also applies to every area of your life. Now, look at this. I was having a conversation with a graduate of ORU. She had two options in front of her. She was praying to decide what to do, frustrated by not listening to the Lord. She couldn't decipher it. So we were talking and I said, I have some advice that will bring you clarity. It's very simple. Do this and see if God doesn't clarify this for you. I said, you've been asking God, what do you want me to do? That's fine. There's nothing wrong with that. But now take another step.

And you'll say these words, Lord, whatever you want me to do, I'm completely willing to do it. I'm going to do it before I know what it is. I said, when you have that kind of bold confidence in God, see if he doesn't bring clarity to your life. Lord, here I am, send me. So this applies to you. Several of you are trying to decide about a business, a business. You're choosing between this boyfriend or that boyfriend. So many options. Now with that deep level of surrender and see if he doesn't give you that clarity that you need so much. I'll give you your money back if it doesn't work. As if you could find me. But here's the thing. This is what I've learned in life. Lesson number three. God reveals himself more easily to the hearts that are surrendered than to the skeptical minds. So why is it frustrating? of art. So let's go back to this festival, because there is something very important that is happening at the festival. It's called the Water Ceremony. As I said, it was a very happy celebration. They spent the whole night awake.

They lived in these improvised and humble tents. And then, just at the dawn of every morning, the priest would solemnly go and take the golden jar of the sacred altar. They would go down the steps outside the temple. They would go out through the east gate to the Gion River, which also led to the Siloé pond. And then, in a solemn procession of priests, while all the people gathered around, they would shake palm branches, play the trumpets, sing and shout in joy. And so they recited a passage from the prophet Isaiah while the priests submerged the golden jar in the stream and said with a clear voice, with joy we will draw water from the wells of salvation. They took the procession of priests, they took the jar, they went up again all the steps to the temple and finally reached the altar. There was a large ceremonial vessel waiting for them where they poured the water. So this is a truly huge and very festive moment. This celebration lasts for seven days. And now we see the appearance of Jesus on stage. Jesus did go to the party, but he did it at a time that he himself considered appropriate. He did not perform miracles, but he taught. And now it is the last day. The most significant thing about the last day is that they solemnly performed this ceremony seven times,

back and forth in the procession of priests seven times. And that is why they call it the great day. It is precisely at this moment that we see in the book of John chapter seven that on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood before everyone, right there in the center of the whole place. And he cried out loudly, if anyone is thirsty, come to me and drink deeply. Those who believe in me, as the scripture says, from their hearts springs springs and rivers of living water. He shouts this in the middle of the ceremony. Can you imagine the people looking at him? Like, what's going on? You see, what they were commemorating during this time was the protection and provision of God. Because Moses, remember, hit the great rock and water came out of it. It was not just any water, but sweet water that came out of it. And this is what Israel, by performing this ceremony of water, is remembering and commemorating what God did. And now Jesus is saying, it is no longer about the past, it is about the now. I am the rock, it is flowing from me. I am the chosen one. I am the fountain of living water that you have needed and desired all your life. You are seeing it.

He was the fulfillment. This is what he was saying. He is the eternal rock from which springs always living, pure and crystalline waters. And here we see another lesson of life. Don't stick so much to what God did, that you lose what God is doing. He says, I am here, I do something new. Don't you perceive it? It will not sprout. We need to be attentive. We need to wait for God to always do new things. It is not new for him, but it is for us. I am tired of the old ways. I want the new. I want new wine. And you? I want the new wine of the Spirit. Israel clung to a thread of living water. Some of us clung to a thread of water in the face of its abundance. And right now there is a room of the throne. And at the base of that throne there is a river that is literally flowing right now. He is available. Let it never be said that our God does not provide, that he is not always close to us. You see, God designed us

to be thirsty. And thirsty for him. God always designed us to want to be cleansed by him. But not everyone goes to him to be cleansed. In fact, it is very interesting. There is another traditional festival that is celebrated every year in India. It is called the Kumbh Mela. It's called the Festival of the Sacred Image. The interesting thing is that it's one of the largest religious meetings in the world. We're talking about 400 million Hindus who make a pilgrimage to one of four rivers. They go to the Ganges River because they have the firm belief that it is a powerful goddess and they hope that this river can deeply purify them of their sin and finally grant them eternal salvation. But guess what? This river is full of an immense amount of residues and chemical waste generated by human beings. It's dirty. It's absolutely disgusting. And you know what else? They know it, but they still get involved. About 400 million innocent and deceived people enter this terrible dirt with the hope that the water of the river will really cleanse them, heal them, and deeply refresh them. But before judging them, it's a pretty powerful system of beliefs, isn't it? Even if it's false. But what does that tell us about ourselves?

What are you bathing in? What are you using to try to calm your conscience? How do you try to cleanse those negative thoughts in your mind? What are you using? Because this is where the real question is. What is exactly that river that he is talking about? Look, God is very practical. The river that he speaks of is the Word. In fact, in Ephesians 5, where Paul speaks to us about the relationship between the husband and the wife, he compares it to the relationship between Jesus and the Church. And he describes how Jesus washes his wife with the water of the Word. In another passage, in John chapter 15, Jesus is having some of his last conversations with the disciples, and he says this to them, You are already cleansed by the Word that I have spoken to you. Because it is the Word that cleanses us. It is the Word that transforms us. So let's go back to that song. They speak of doing it with joy. They draw water from the wells of salvation. You see, joy is an indicator that you know that you have been cleansed and that you are in the river. Of all the passages they could quote, they chose this one. Why? You know what I have discovered? Joy is a factor that makes a difference in transformation. So I want to encourage you. If you are fighting against oppression, if you are fighting against depression, I want to open your eyes to something important.

There could be another way for you to win this battle. Because there is something very special that changes life. About the process of transformation that you need to know. You see, transformation is essentially based on renovation. And transformation is what happens, but the renovation of the mind is the way it happens. And I want to emphasize this. You see, God is not interested in repairing your mind. Have you ever done a renovation project at home? Yes, and you survived it, right? Someone is right in the middle of one right now. She is looking at her bank account. So you know, you have these great ideas, right? Usually, the bathroom, right? This bathroom has to go. And we go in and we want to do this and this and this, and then we look at the budget and we discover that, well, it looks like I only have enough money to replace the toilet. That is all that can be done. But look, God is not interested in renovation. God is dedicated to reconstruction, like demolishing everything, taking out everything that needs to go and rebuilding. Look, we live in the middle of a culture that is deconstructing, and God wants to dedicate himself to reconstruction. And it is a progressive process. It is not instantaneous. It is progressive. It is the opposite of what ChatGPT tells you. ChatGPT is something strange to me. Although I use artificial intelligence in my day-to-day,

have you seen how it is preparing us? I mean, I put a prompt, I ask for an idea, and before giving me all the information, it always says things like, that is a really wonderful idea. As if I had better friends. I don't need you. But it's very subtle because it's preparing us to just want to have a relationship with someone who agrees with us. The process of renovation, the process of transformation is not instantaneous and is progressive. And this brings us to our third point. The true transformation happens at the moment we decide to remain in the river. Quiero decir, no es un libro cualquiera. Me fascina la manera en que Jesús lo describe en Juan 6, 63. Él dice, mis palabras son ¿qué? Espíritu y ¿qué más? Vida. Hay una esencia en ello. Es decir, cuando leemos la palabra de Dios, no estamos leyendo un libro común y no estamos solos. Estamos leyendo la palabra viva, el agua viva, junto con el Espíritu de Dios. Trabajando juntos. Y por eso es realmente fascinante cuando entiendes eso. Aquí hay otra lección de vida para nosotros. Cada vez que lees la palabra de Dios, estás depositando verdad que el Espíritu Santo puede sacar a la luz después. ¿Sabes? Esto es lo que tienes que entender sobre el Espíritu Santo. Él tiene dos tareas. Su primera tarea es convencernos de que el amor de Dios es para nosotros. Y luego convencernos, hacernos ver qué es lo que nos impide tener esa relación. Convencernos de pecado. Así es como nos muestra Jesús, ¿verdad? Y esto es lo que Él está haciendo todo el tiempo. Y si realmente queremos este proceso de transformación, tenemos que dejar que Él

haga su parte y no podemos ofendernos por la verdad que nos comparte. No podemos ofendernos por el Espíritu de gracia. Ahora, esto es algo que aprendí. ¿Sabes? Solía pensar en mis primeros días como cristiano, me voy a sentar, voy a leer la palabra de Dios y toda esta revelación simplemente va a fluir, ¿verdad? Y leía y era como no recibí nada. Y me sentía un poco decepcionado. Pero luego empecé a entender que, ¿sabes? No es revelación a demanda. Es revelación cuando la necesitas. Quiero decir, miren chicos, Dios es mucho más práctico de lo que pensamos y el Espíritu Santo también lo es. Pero a veces nos perdemos lo que el Espíritu Santo está haciendo en nuestras vidas porque lo sobre espiritualizamos. Pero Él es muy práctico. Es lo que yo llamo el momento de la derecha o la izquierda. Ahora, quiero sacar una escritura de Isaías. Hombre, me encanta Isaías. Que profeta tan poderoso. Miren lo que le dice a Israel, porque así obra el Espíritu Santo con nosotros. Isaías 30, 21. Si te desvías a la derecha o a la izquierda, oirás una voz detrás de ti diciendo, este es el Cristo. camino, anda por él. Ahora, fíjense, esto evoca la imagen de un pastor, pues el pastor iba detrás de las ovejas, y él tenía la vara. Así que cuando las ovejas empezaban a irse por aquí, donde era peligroso, las empujaba de este lado.

Si caminaban por el borde del acantilado, las empujaba de este lado. Así es como el Espíritu Santo actúa con nosotros. Por ejemplo, puede que me encuentre, ya sabes, un poco molesta con mi esposo. Eso pasa cada dos años. Y me siento bastante molesto con él, y estoy a punto de decirle algo muy sarcástico. Como suelo hacer, ¿verdad? Pero de repente, porque he leído la palabra, el Espíritu Santo me da entonces una nueva sugerencia. Y tengo una elección. ¿Voy a ir hacia la derecha? ¿Voy a ir hacia la izquierda? ¿Voy a decir lo que él dice? ¿O voy a decir lo que tengo ganas de decir? Lo que normalmente digo, ¿ves? Esos son los momentos que yo llamo, úsalo o piérdelo. Y tiene sentido. En Lucas capítulo ocho, cuando ves esta escritura, a los que escuchan se les dará más entendimiento. Pero para aquellos que no escuchan, incluso aquello que creen entenderles será arrebatado. Así que nuestros momentos de obediencia son los momentos en los que podemos ganar. Nuestros momentos en los que ignoramos son los momentos en los que perdemos. Esto es algo sumamente importante porque renovación o retroceso,

¿cuál es el camino que quiero? Bien, la obediencia es la clave. Cuando yo, Santiago dice, se hace dor de la palabra, ¿verdad? Cuando lo pongo en práctica, cuando tomo su sugerencia, porque el Espíritu Santo no va a imponerte sus ideas. Él presenta sus ideas. El enemigo te empujará, pero el Espíritu Santo presenta. Así que aquí está la gran pregunta. Esta es la gran pregunta. Este es el punto de inflexión para nuestra transformación. Estamos abiertos a la corrección. Porque la corrección requiere que yo admita cuando estoy equivocado. No me gusta estar equivocado. Esto requiere que sea capaz de aceptar mi propio sentido de fracaso. Y eso no nos gusta. No nos gusta para nada. De hecho, la religión estadounidense hoy en día es un deísmo moralista y terapéutico. Sabes básicamente qué es eso. Dios solo quiere que me sienta bien conmigo mismo. Él solo quiere que viva mi mejor vida ahora. Verás, ese tipo de pensamiento se interpone en el camino de la corrección. Ese tipo de pensamiento se interpone en el camino del arrepentimiento. Ese tipo de pensamiento se interpone

en el camino de la obediencia. De hecho, Jordan Peterson cita esto. Quiero que pongas esto en la pantalla porque aquí es donde estamos como sociedad. Él citó algo llamado disonancia cognitiva, que también es ceguera voluntaria. Mira esta afirmación. Aquellos que se niegan a cambiar su forma de pensar porque eso los obligaría a reconocer el fracaso o aceptar una visión del mundo que es defectuosa. Muchas personas prefieren sufrir en la seguridad de sus viejas ideas equivocadas que desmontar su propio ego para abrazar la verdad absoluta. Vaya, es muy interesante. Así que lo que él está diciendo es que, aunque se les presente toda la evidencia a las personas, aún así se aferran a lo que ya sabían porque se niegan a cambiar solo por orgullo. No son corregibles. Y así es como podemos encontrarnos nosotros mismos como individuos. ¿Sabes cómo se llama eso? Se llama una fortaleza mental. Eso también es cierto para ustedes, los más jóvenes, por cierto. Pero ahora solo estoy hablando de mí. So it's like, I love David's heart, because he says, Lord, examine my heart. See if there is a path of evil in me. See if there is something in me that offends you. You know, have you noticed how easy it is to be offended today? Perhaps we would be less offended if we were more concerned about offending him. We have to become malleable in our heart. We have to learn to trust again. I know that the leaders have let you down. You have gone through situations that have made you distrust, but you have to put your trust in the rock. You have to go back to the rock. You have to go back to the river. And don't criticize yourself. Don't examine yourself harshly. Ask the Holy Spirit to examine your heart. That's the difference.

Don't punish yourself. You're not going to get anywhere like that. Ask the Spirit of grace and truth, because He assures us firmly that He will do it. And He will show us the sacred and true path to eternal life. That is something that I love very much. You know, in that time, the ancient priests, in order to obtain the water, first they had to descend down the path. Sometimes you and I have to descend. We have to humiliate ourselves and come down and say, you know what? The things I have been believing in, I know they are not true. My identity is no longer formed in this. I mean, for 25 years as a Catholic, they taught me certain things. I embraced them, I believed them, and then I began to question them. Because I saw the truth of the Word of God. The truth of the Word exposes the lies you believe. It just happens. An eternal and wonderful life. Transformation. That is what He wants for us. And joy. We were talking about joy. Joy resides deeply within the truth. The reason you experience this joy is because you embrace and fully obey the truth. And so you receive these rivers of fresh water

flowing through your soul. Now, here is the interesting part. Neuroscience supports what I am saying. You see, every time we act and obey the Word, we make it ours. It is internalized in us. That is how the Word becomes flesh. So they have done studies on the human brain. And you know that all those thoughts that float in your mind are not impotent. That is why the Bible tells us to be careful in what you think, in what you meditate, in what you say, in what you repeat, in what you do, because what you do is yours. It becomes part of you. And so, what they have discovered is that they can observe human brain activity and they can see how thoughts are formed in the brain. And those thoughts actually create a kind of path, they form grooves, and they generate something similar to a tree structure in your physical brain. Now, the interesting thing is that all the negative thoughts that we have are seen as dark and raquitic structures that extend through your brain. It is not surprising that it is so hard for us not to think about negative things. But here is the good news. There is always good news. The good news is that the way to get rid of those negative thoughts

is to leave them without food and build a new creation. You build a new structure of the Word of God in your brain and those thoughts look different. They are healthy, they are vibrant, they are green. And so, the more you focus on the Word of God, you speak it, you think it, you say it, you obey it, guess what is happening here? This is being deconstructed and this is being reconstructed. And your mind is literally being renewed and you are being transformed into the image of your beloved Son. Because the Word does not return empty. He watches over it to fulfill it. If you do your part, He will do His. By the way, it is your turn to do the easy part. Here are our life lessons. They are all for us because I want you to see one more. Transformation is not just a dramatic moment. It is simply thousands of pure moments of surrender. Isn't that good? So those moments are important. Ten paciencia contigo mismo, puede que no estés donde quieres estar, pero te garantizo que estás más avanzado que antes. Su palabra está obrando en ti, su palabra está actuando. Así que esto es lo que quiero hacer. Estoy especialmente interesado en aquellos de ustedes que nunca han tenido una relación con Jesucristo y ustedes son como yo era, simplemente personas religiosas, marcando casillas. Oh, que vida les espera. Así que quiero que oremos, de hecho todos vamos a orar y quiero orar lo que David oró. Salmo 139, lo van a poner en la pantalla, vamos a orar esto juntos y luego para aquellos de ustedes que ya digan, estoy listo, ya terminé de ser mi propio líder, necesito a Jesús, lo reconozco. La manera en que hacemos esto es rindiendo nuestras vidas en oración. Así que voy a guiarnos en esa oración y voy a pedir que todos participemos en esto. ¿Puedes decir esto conmigo? Examíname oh Dios y conoce mi corazón, pruébame y conoce mis pensamientos ansiosos, muéstrame y señálame cualquier cosa en mí que te ofenda y guíame siempre por el camino de la vida eterna. ¿Dirías esto conmigo?
