LF Young Adults! Live Amazing LF Worship.
The young adults go hard at a spontaneous worship night at Life Fellowship. MUST WATCH!
Well, good morning again, men and women. So good to be with you this morning on the Pando app with you in whatever facility that you're in right here from Life Fellowship Church in McKinney, Texas. We love you. We just want to tell you every chance we get that you are part of our church family. My name is Logan Williams. My TDC number was 1490218. About four numbers after that, spent nine and a half years going in and out of prison and drug abuse and crime and all the stuff that comes with that. I just had just sort of resigned myself to this must be my lot in life because I wanted to change but couldn't really seem to be able to do anything about it. And then I had an encounter with Christ in a hotel room in Irving, Texas in August of 2021. And I'd been out about six months, was back on it really, really hard. And man, Christ left the 99 to come after me. But I had to say yes. And I had to do some really difficult things. But I'm telling you, man, he's after you. He wants a relationship with you and he wants to change and transform your life. But he needs you to say yes, he's not going to force himself upon us. He's a gentleman. He wants us to make that choice. And guys, I want you to make that choice. That's why we do these videos, do these things. I was in and out, in and out, in and out for a couple decades, man, and with no change. And I'm just telling you, if he can change me, if he can do it for me, he can do it for you. My question is, who's next? Who's next? Because he doesn't just want to save you.
He wants to change and transform you and use you to make much of his name and enlarge his kingdom. And you might think to yourself, if you're not saved, well, why would I want to do that? Because it's like the best thing ever. I've done all the drugs. I've done all the sexual encounters and all the stacking the paper and buying all the material things. Guys, nothing touches being used by God, being in your calling, being used by him to make a difference in someone else's life. Nothing can touch that. And I just want so much, the desire of my heart, it burns. I want you to experience that. And you can experience it right there. You can experience it right there. I love one of my pastor friends, his name is Scott Graham. He goes into the Michaels unit and he says it all the time to those guys, because those guys have big sentences and he's like, hey, listen, man, you change your life. God wants to use you when you get out. But if you're never getting out, God wants to use you to pour in to the men and women who are getting out. And that's your legacy. He can use you right where you're at, right where you're at. He will meet you right where you're at. He's so awesome and he's so graceful and generous. Listen, you can get your friends and family to download the same Pando app on their phone. They can watch the same videos that you watch, the same services that you watch. They can be part of Life Fellowship's family as well with you. And then when you talk to them on the phone or see them in visitation, you can talk about what that message say to you. This is how we grow together.
This is how we grow spiritually as a family, as friends, as the people who love you that are willing to come visit you. Yeah, man, encourage them. Grow together. I never meant to do this thing alone. I was thinking about you guys and putting myself back into all the facilities that I was at. I know it can be difficult, can be trying, it can be hard, especially when you choose to walk this out, especially when you choose Jesus, especially when you choose Christ to do something different, to go against the grain, to get off the wide road and get on the narrow road where there aren't many people. Yeah, I know, especially in the places that you're at, people are going to hate on you. People are going to come against you. Principalities and rulers of darkness are going to start attacking you. They don't like that. And so I want to encourage those people today. I want to encourage you with James chapter one, verse two, consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance, let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing. Now I know when you're there and it's hot and you're, and you're, you're, you're, people are coming against you. People are hating on you. People are talking about you. I know it's. When you're in the midst of a trial, right? It's hard to hear this scripture. When you're on the mountaintop and things are going good and you got plenty of commissary in your locker and you got a good job and you got a good schedule
and time is easy. Yeah, man, it's easy to say, okay, yeah, let's consider it pure joy when we go through stuff. But when you're going through it, sometimes it's hard to consider it pure joy and to have that mindset shift of looking at it like, hey man, this is going to produce perseverance in me. Guys, perseverance is a very, very valuable gift or an attribute to grow in your life. It will help you in all aspects of your life. Perseverance, just staying with something. In fact, we were just in a staff sort of prayer meeting and encouragement meeting and this guy was talking about, man, when you're in a trial, he quoted a line out of the movie, Beauty and the Beast, which I'm sure I've seen it, but I can't remember it. But one of the things was they were coming against this king or whatever, he was trying to rally the town and his statement to them was screw your courage in to where the sticking places are. And what he's saying is, hey man, this is gonna be hard. This is gonna be a difficult walk. This is gonna be trying. And he's like, man, glue's not gonna get it. You need to bolt that courage in. He's saying, what is he saying? Hey man, it's gonna be hard, but we need to stick with it. We need to stay in there. We need to continue to fight. And that's what I wanna say to you guys
that have chosen Jesus in prison, that have chosen to say no to the drugs and the gangs and all the stuff that would just make time go so much easier. Man, stay with it. Stick with it. It's worth it. Well, how do I do that? You might ask. How in the world? Man, you don't understand Logan. You're not at this unit. You're not on this wing with these crazy people. You're not surrounded by drugs and K2 and all the crazy people that come with that and all the erratic, stressful things that produce so much anxiety. Yeah, I'm not right now. How do I do that, Logan? The very next verse says, he just switches gears. And he's like, if any of you lack wisdom, you should ask God who gives generously without finding fault, and it will be given to you. What he's saying is, man, another translation says he gives it without reproach. Guys, if we just ask God for wisdom, he hands it out like candy on Halloween. We don't have to be righteous. We don't have to argue. We don't have to negotiate.
He just gives it to us. That's what the word says. And so, guys, I wanna encourage you, man, to pray and seek God's wisdom. Seek God's wisdom on, man, how can I stay in this fight? How can I lay down this thing that I don't wanna lay down? God, how can I discover what my calling is on my life, what the purpose is on my life? I have no idea what it is. Ask him. He says he's gonna give it to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, okay? Because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all that they do. What he's saying, man, is believe and not doubt. And the way I would like to do that, the way I kinda practice that is I'll ask for the wisdom, and then I'll say, hey, God, your word says you're gonna give it to me. I'm holding you to your word. Your word says in James chapter one, verse five, if any of us lack wisdom, we should ask. And so I'm gonna believe it and I'm not gonna doubt because you say it. Guys, when you pray God's promises back to him, it's a very powerful thing.
And so I don't know where you're at in your journey. Some of you have just gotten arrested and you're sitting in the county jail and you don't know what the path is that you're about to have to navigate. Some of you are sitting in maximum security prisons with a 50-year sentence. Some of you have threes and fives and tens and you're gonna be going home. Man, wherever you're at, God will meet you right there. And I wanna encourage you, man, to continue to pray and ask for his wisdom and find other promises in his word that he says about us, that he says about you, who he says you are. Speak those out and pray them back to him. It's a very powerful thing. It will change you, but I want you to continue to fight and not give up. I want you to continue walking with our eyes fixed on him, knowing that when I'm in the valley, the way to get out of it. Valley is you just keep walking and eventually you're gonna go up the mountain And so I love you guys like Fellowship Church loves you guys We pray for you We we we pray over all your letters. We pray over all your prayer requests And I mean that and I want to tell you that that man if you're ever Anywhere near the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex on a Sunday after you get out man. Come visit us We want to meet you. We want to see you. We want to introduce you to everyone get you a coffee We want to just celebrate you because it's it's just one of the best things man when I get to see One of you guys that just come in and say hey, man. I just got out
I just did X number of years, and I've been watching live fellowship It's such a blessing and everyone here will rally around you father. I thank you for the men and women Who you have drawn to this? video to this page God we We don't no one comes to the father unless he is drawn and so God I pray Perseverance over them I pray that they can somehow even if it's just a small shift that they can begin to shift their thinking from Man, this sucks, and I'm going through this crazy thing and instead of focusing on the negative man that they could have a little shift Or maybe a big shift into hey, man. This is gonna produce perseverance in me Maybe I'm not to the point where I can consider it pure joy But this that I'm going through Maybe I didn't get arrested. Maybe I got a rescued Maybe I would have died in my sin. Maybe I would have overdosed on drugs Maybe I would have got shot got run over got who knows but I Know that God has a plan and a purpose and so God I just declare your plans and your purposes over the men and women that are watching I just declare freedom and peace and perseverance over them God that you would Do work in them right now that you would just your Holy Spirit would fall on them and they would have fresh fire They would have a fresh anointing. They would have a fresh idea of what their Calling is even in the places that they're at God man. Just pour out your wisdom on them God. We are asking for your wisdom for all of us Not just the people incarcerated and so God Meet them where they're at let them know how much you love them let them know that you just desire more than anything is this a Relationship with them and even if they can take 30 seconds and just put their attention on you man. That makes you so happy. It makes you smile and God bless them Bless them in the place that they're at. For the tears and the blood that was spilling. For the mercy, for the wonderful majesty of your love Sling to the world To the one who would die for the shame of the cause To the lamb who was slain as a drowned in blood To the one who died for the name of the power in the name We pray For the stripes, for the wounds, for the demons For the tears, for the blood that was willingly borne For the mercy, for the wonderful majesty of your love We cry out Lord, please help me We worship We all cry out To the one who died To the one who died We cry out Lord, please help me We worship We all cry out That you were worthy, God That you were worthy, God To the one who would die for the shame of the cause To the lamb who was slain as a drowned in blood To the one who died for the power in the name We pray For the stripes, for the wounds, for the demons For the tears, for the blood that was willingly borne For the mercy, for the wonderful majesty of your love To the one who died for the shame of the cause
To the lamb who was slain as a drowned in blood To the one who died for the power in the name We pray For the stripes, for the wounds, for the demons For the tears, for the blood that was willingly borne For the mercy, for the wonderful majesty of your love For the mercy, for the wonderful majesty of your love Say that again For the merciful, wonderful majesty of your love For the merciful, wonderful majesty of your love We cry out, we fall face down We worship, we all cry out You were worthy, God You were worthy, God We cry out, we fall face down We worship, we all cry out You were worthy, God You were worthy, God I felt a presence that I haven't felt in a really long time There was this invitation, this pull to come face to face with a father that just adores us And as I was wrestling with, God I don't know if this is something to share, if this is just for me I felt like the Lord said, there's someone in the room that can't even comprehend a father like this Because their own father wouldn't take the time to walk in the room with them So if that's you, if you can't even comprehend a loving father, a loving God Because your own earthly father would not take the time I just invite you to meet the God that I know, to open your heart and encounter a God that is so good, that would give his own son, that would willingly take the lashings and the shame and the condemnation. Can you imagine? Can you imagine? So I don't know what your life is like, I don't know what home you were grown up in, but God is so much better than that. So this atmosphere that we're in, this holy moment, he is inviting you to lay down
the tears, the anguish, those moments that you said, why am I not good enough for my own father to show up? Why am I not good enough? When before the beginning of time, God ordained this very moment for you to experience the holiness that is heaven, the holiness that is Jesus Christ surrendering his life for you. So I encourage you to fall face down, fall face down in this moment, to cry out, holy God, because he is, and I promise you for the time that I have walked with this Jesus, he is that good. And if you don't know, if you can't comprehend, it's okay, because there are people in this room that will walk with you. And it may not be easy, it definitely won't be perfect, but it will be good. And you will never be left again to wonder, will my father show up? Because he's here. And for the rest of your days, there will be a God and a father and a son and a spirit that will walk with you and never leave you or forsake you. So in this moment, position yourself, I encourage you, no matter what it looks like, the person standing next to you, guys, if you think it's ugly, it's okay. Lay it down and surrender. Because the song before it said the saints and the angels, guys, the angels are here. The throne room of heaven is here. We are walking in the presence and the scripture says we are the saints. So if you've never before given your life to Christ, today's the moment, because like I said, he ordained it before the beginning of time. And this is your moment to enter into the kingdom and say yes. And to say, I now have a father that will show up for me morning, noon and night. And I have a savior, a Messiah that was shamed and crucified and beaten for me. And I now will be equipped with Holy Spirit, just like an ax, that we will be strengthened with a spirit that guides us and you'll never be left alone. And then you're surrounded by people who truly love you to walk with you and be discipled. Guys. So Holy Spirit, so Father, thank you. Thank you that no matter what it looks like, that you're going to be a God and a father that I can trust and I can sit at your feet. I can sit in your arms and just be hugged to God. We glorify you. We say thank you. And we worship with the saints and the angels tonight in Jesus name. Amen. Yeah. You are worthy God, we cry out, we fall face down, we worship, we all cry out. You are worthy God, you are worthy God. We cry out, we fall face down, we worship, we all cry out.
You are worthy God, you are worthy God. Oh, you are worthy God, for all eternity, you are worthy. Oh, for all eternity, you are worthy. To the one who endured all the shame of the cross, to the lamb who was slain as atoning for us, to the son who overcame all the power of death, we pray. For the stripes, for the wounds, for the beating of your heart, for the tears, for the blood that was willing before, for the blessings, for the wonder, for the majesty of your name. For the blessings, for the wonder, for the majesty of your name. For the blessings, for the wonder, for the majesty of your name. For the blessings, for the wonder, for the majesty of your name. For the blessings, for the wonder, for the majesty of your name. For the blessings, for the wonder, for the majesty of your name. For the blessings, for the wonder, for the majesty of your name. For the blessings, for the wonder, for the majesty of your name. For the blessings, for the wonder, for the majesty of your name. You are worthy, God. We crown you, we fall face down, we worship you, we all cry out. You are worthy, God. You are worthy, God. You are worthy, God. You are worthy, God. Yes, you are worthy, God. You are worthy, God. You are worthy, God. You are worthy, God. You are worthy, God.
You are worthy, God. You are worthy, God. You are worthy, God, forever. You are worthy, God. You are worthy, God. Even when we don't feel like it, Lord, you're worthy of our praise, you're worthy of our worship. In the midst of our situation, in the midst of our storm, Lord, you're still worthy of praise. If you don't do another thing, God, you're still worthy. I believe the Holy Spirit is revealing himself to some of you in the room in a fresh way. Some of you are seeing God in a way that you haven't seen him before. I even see that there's some of you in the room where, kind of like what you've heard, some of you are dealing with father wounds, father issues, where your father wasn't in your life. I think that the Holy Spirit is in this room and he's showing you where your physical dad wasn't there, where he was there, every step of the way, where he was keeping you, where he was with you, protecting you. So for this next few moments, let's just close our eyes because I think that the Lord is still speaking to some of us tonight. We'll take the next three, five or so minutes. Let's just close our eyes. I don't think the Holy Spirit is done in the room. Let's just close our eyes. I was there all along. I was there all along. I heard every prayer that you wrote in your journal. I was right next to you in every sleep last night. Even when you thought you were alone. I was there, I was there all alone, I never left you, I'll never forsake you, I never
left you, and I'm still there, I'm still right there, closer than your next breath, I'm still right there, closer than a brother, I'm still right there, coming, coming, coming, coming after, and I'll keep coming, coming, coming, coming after, I'll keep coming, coming, coming, coming after, I'll keep coming, coming, coming, coming after, oh you're not too far, you're not too broken for me, you're not too bruised for me, you're not too beat up for me, I've been right there every year, walking with you, and talking with you, oh I'm with you my child, I see you my child, I hear you my child, I heard every breath, I saw every tear, I saw every tear, I was right there with you, I heard every breath, I saw every tear that you cried, and I'll be right there my child, I'll be right there with you my child, cause I'll never leave you, I'll never forsake you, I'm always with you, I'm right there with you, I'll never forsake you, I'm right there, I'm right there, I never left you, I'll never forsake you, I'm right there with you my child, I never left you, I'll never forsake you, I'm right there with you, I was there all along, I was there all along, I was there all along, I was there all along, I was there all along, I was there all along, I was there all along, And I'll never let you, never forsake you, I'll always be with you, I'll never let you, I'll never forsake you, I'm right here with you, I'll never let you, I'll never forsake you, I'm always with you, I'll never let you, I'll never forsake you, I'm always with you, Alone. I was there all along. I was there all along. I was there all along. I was there all along, I was there all along, I was there all along. Thank you, Jesus. You're right there. You never leave. You've never forsaken me. You never left me out in the cold. Every recital, every football game, You're right there. You're right there.
It's one of those moments where you ask the Lord, what's next? And how do you steward a moment? We have a plan tonight. We have a laid out evening on what's going to happen at this time and that time and what's going to happen next. Which is good, by the way. But in the midst of the planning of the man, in the midst of the strategizing, in the midst of knowing what job we're going to get, what school we're going to go to, who we're going to be with, we have to be in a place where we allow Jesus to interrupt the plans of man. So as I sat here for the last five minutes, I'm like, God, what do you want next? What do you want to do? So you can show me what's next. You can stay exactly where you're seated or where you're at right now. You can go back to your seat if you'd like. I've got a short word on faith and what faith means in the midst of things going the opposite direction and what belief means when things aren't making sense, when things aren't going the way that we planned. What do we do next? 2 Kings 4, verse number 18. It says, When a child was grown, the day came when he went out to his father, to the reapers. He said to his father, My head, my head.
And he said to his servant, Carry him to his mother. He was in pain. He was in the hot sun, farming all day, working the fields. When he had taken him and brought him to his mother, he sat on her lap until noon. And the Bible says in verse number 20, the end of, it says he died. And you're wondering, Eddie, why are you telling a story about a son, about a boy that died? It's a good question. Let's rewind and go to chapter 4, verse number 8. I'm going to read you guys a story about a woman, a faithful woman, a Shunammite woman, a prominent woman, a very wealthy and a very rich woman who needed nothing in this world. She didn't need food. She didn't need a home. She was completely satisfied with all that she had. She didn't need nothing. But if you want to follow along with me, 2 Kings chapter 4 verse number 8 says this, Now there came a day when Elisha passed over to Shunem, where there was a prominent woman, and she persuaded him to eat food. And so it was, as often as he passed by, he turned in there to eat food. She said to her husband, Behold now I perceive that this is a holy man of God passing by us continually. Someone say continually. Verse 10, Please let us make a little walled up chamber, and let us set a bed for him there, and table, and a chair, and a lampstand. And it shall be that when he comes to us, that he can turn in there. She wanted to create a space for the man of God Elisha.
Why? Because she recognized that this man had been with the Lord. She recognized that this man was anointed by God. And because of what he had and who he was in the Lord, she wanted to make sure that she did not allow this to pass, so she would not miss out on the blessing. So she created a space. Verse 11, One day he came there and turned in the upper chamber and rested. Then he said to Gehazi's servant, Call the Shunammite. And when he had called her, she stood before him. So I want you all to picture three people right now in a room. You have Elisha, you have Gehazi's assistant, and now you have this very prominent woman, the Shunammite woman as the Bible would call her. They're all standing in a room together. And he said, What then is to be done for her? And Gehazi answered, Truly, she has no son, and her husband is old. She needed nothing in this world, y'all. She had all the cash. She had the fatty house. She had the servants. She had the relationship. She had the feast. She had everything anybody could ever ask for. But what was she missing? She was missing a son. She desired something in her life. The same exact way that you and I desire something in our lives every single day. And believe it or not, we would do anything to achieve or to get or to attain exactly what that one thing is. Verse 13, Say now to her, Behold, you have been careful for us with all this care. What can I do for you? Would you be spoken for to the king or to the captain of the army?
And she answered, I live among my own people. In this famous quote, he said, What then is to be done for her? Prophet, all I want is a son. All I want is someone to call my own. All I want is someone that I can raise up, that I can train, that I can lead, that can carry on a family legacy. See, a lot of us today, we want to attain all the riches in the world. For what reason? For you to enjoy. Rarely do young people ever think about the fact that the things you're doing today will actually benefit your future, your legacy. The decisions you make today will affect everything in your future. What could be done? Husband's old. Can't give me a son. Then he said to her, this is Elisha talking to the Shunammite, At the season next year, you will embrace a son. And she said, No, my Lord, oh man of God, do not lie to your maid servant. She's hearing something that's unfamiliar. And maybe you're in a place of life today where God has made you a promise. But because you have not seen an inkling of that promise coming true, you begin to give up. You begin to say to God, God, why did you tell me that I was going to get this thing, Lord? But I see no signs of it. And what happens next? We begin to turn our back on Jesus because we feel like he is not following through on exactly what he said he was going to do. She said, Don't lie to me, Lord. Verse 17, the woman conceived and bore a son. And at that season, the next year, as Elisha had said to her. So what happened? God kept this promise. Amen. God told you. something in your quiet place. God told you something in your prayer. God told you something through the word. And even if you don't see the sign of that dream or that vision coming true,
can I remind you today that we serve a God who will never fail us. We serve a God who will go through, who will fall through, who will ultimately follow through on his promise. Verse 18, when the child was grown, the day came that he went out to his father, to the reapers. He said to his father, my head, my head. I read this a second ago. And he said to his servant, carry him to his mother. We know how that story ends. God promised her something through the prophet Elisha. It came, it came about, it came real, it became real. She had a son. Now all of a sudden, can you imagine God giving you a promise? And sometime between now and then, that promise began to die out. And you're wondering, Lord, there is no way you promised me this. So I'm going to keep walking and walking and walking until I see the fruit of what you promised me. Let's pick it up in verse 21. She went up and laid him on a bed of the man of God and shut the door behind him and went out. So now the upper room that we talked about earlier, that she had built for the man Elisha, who was following, who was coming through the town, she now took her dead son and she went to go lay him on Elisha's bed. Listen, I don't know about you, but if I came up to my bed and I seen the dead kid, I'm gonna freak out just a little bit. That's the reality. But y'all know it doesn't work that way in the word of God. Verse 22, then she called to her husband and said, please send me one of my servants and one of the donkeys and that I may run to the man of God and return. So now she's freaking out. She's saying, man, you made me a promise. I mean, I felt it was so real. God, like you told me I can go to this school. And Lord, you worked everything out. God, I got all the scholarships. Or Lord, you promised me this man of God. Or you promised me this woman of God. And now, why are things falling apart? See, most of us today will take that situation and we'll think, God, you gave up on me, so I'm out of here. I'm gonna look for a different option. When God said he made you a promise, stick in the game and begin to pray. Verse 23, he said, why will you go with him today? It is neither new moon nor Sabbath. And she said, it will be well. See, this woman had faith. She knew that when God made her a promise, nothing was going to get in the way of the promise that God made to her. And today, I simply want you to take that word for yourself. Listen to this verse 24. Then she saddled the donkey and said to her servant, drive and go forward. Do not slow down the pace for me unless I tell you. So she went and came to the man of God at Mount Carmel. When the man of God saw her at a distance, he said to Gehazi's servant, behold, there is the Shunammite. He said, listen, woman, I gave you a promise from the Lord. He was going to give you a son.
That very same time, the following year, God gave her a son. This son was now doing well in the fields, working with his father, and all of a sudden he had a crazy headache and immediately he died. And now he's looking into the distance saying, man, there's that woman that I made a promise to. I wonder what is going on. I wonder if what I said was true. I wonder today what is happening. She says, it's going to be well. I'm not going to worry about it. Verse 26. Please run now to meet her and say to her, it is well with you. It is well with you, your husband. Is it well with your child? She said, it is well. She repeats, it is well. Whatever season you're walking through right this second, can I give you a word from God today? It is well. Is it ever going to go sideways? Are the plans never going to look clear? Yes, they're not. They're not going to look clear all the time. But if the Lord said it, tell yourself, it is well. When she came to the man of God to the hill, she caught a hold of his feet. I picture this woman who bore this child for 10 months. A promise. I see this young person, this young adult today in the crowd somewhere, who God promised you something that you've wanted for a long time, and you finally got it. Somehow, some way, that dream or that vision died and where does that put you now put you back at the feet of Jesus exactly where she was and Gehazi came near to push her away but the man of God said let her alone for her soul is troubled within her and the Lord has hidden it from me and has not told me Elijah had no idea what was happening he had no idea that her son had passed away all he knew is when he left that town that God had followed through on his promise and she was living well as a matter of fact her belief in the Lord continued in the midst of the storm in the midst of the battle in the midst of the struggle and the trouble she said it is well and he had no idea but what's going on verse 28 if you're following then he she said did I ask for a son from my Lord did I not say do not deceive me then he said to Gehazi gird up your loins and take up my staff in your hand and go your way if you meet any man do not salute him and if anyone salutes you do not answer him and lay my staff on the lads face so imagine this here's a quick picture Elisha is chilling he's on Mark Carmel just hanging woman comes up man did not the Lord promise me a son did not the Lord promise me a future did he not promise me a legacy and rather than go
on himself Elijah said listen Gehazi take my staff and I want you to go follow her and I want you to go to her son and I want you to lay my staff on him and I want you to bring him back to life let's pick it up in verse number 30 we're almost done the mother of the lad said as the Lord lives and as you yourself live I will not leave you and he arose and followed her have you ever gone to God and said Lord I know what you have planned for me I know your promise for me why is it not coming through or maybe you came through for a season and all of a sudden it's gone now you find yourself at the feet of Jesus saying God I will not leave this prayer room Lord I will not leave this altar God I will not leave this place until you do exactly what you said you're gonna do or do most of us get into a place a mindset and say God I've been praying and praying and seeking and fasting God and worshiping and I cannot hear you I quit I'm gonna walk away from what you have for me because I don't really believe that it's there but this woman was different she said listen man I'm not leaving until you come with me so he says he arose and he followed her then Gehazi passed on before them and laid the staff on the last face but there was no sound no response so he returned to meet him and told him the lad has not wakened check this out verse number 32 when Elisha came into the house behold the lad was dead and laid on his bed so he entered and shut the door behind them both and prayed to the Lord and here's what he said and he went up and lay on a child put his mouth on his mouth and his eyes on his eyes and his hands on his hands and he stretched himself on him and a flesh of the child became warm that is what the father wants to do today he wants to breathe new life into your dream he wants to breathe new life into your vision he wants to breathe new life into your promise are you gonna accept are you gonna say God I'm so mad at you because you told me all these things in this time frame and it's not coming through I want nothing to do God with what you have for me because you are a liar and you are not telling the truth I should not be waiting this long for a promise it is the 23rd hour the 59th minute in the 59 second God and I still don't have money for school that scholarship that you promised me hasn't
Lord I'm 24 25 26 and you promised me a man to God he is not here is it possible today young person that you are distracted and you are unable to see the promises that God has for you so rather than blaming it on God should you be looking at self saying Lord would you help me Lord to hear your voice God would you help me to feel your Holy Spirit that will lead me and that would guide me. Then he returned and walked in the house once back and forth and went and stretched himself on him and a lad sneezed seven times and a lad opened up his eyes. He called Gehazi and said call the Shunammite so he called her and when she came into him he said take up your son. Would you please stand to your feet this evening. There is a promise that the Lord has for you and tonight is a night that you will remove every distraction from your life, every negative voice, the enemy's been lying to you telling you you're good for nothing telling you your dream is dead, telling you you're not gonna make it, you're good you're good for nobody because you maybe your mom or your dad told you that very word and you grew up in a home of negativity. You felt like no one encouraged you, no one pushed you, no one told you I believe in you, I'm proud of you, I love you. So now you come into the house of God and you're having a hard time hearing him tell you man of God I love you, woman of God I'm proud of you there's a plan and a future for you. You let the enemy lie to you repeatedly so you make decisions based off what the enemy is telling you and what God is telling you today listen young person of God I want to breathe new life into your dream I want to breathe new life into you and maybe today is a day of salvation for some of us in this room. Peter said repent. Most of us want to come to the altar we want to ask God for 10 million things when our lives does not even reflect the things that we're asking for. We want to go and ask God to bless us with a man of God or a woman of God or a good job or a good school or good friends when yet we are not even at a place in life where we can even receive the things that God has for us because we missed a step in America friends. We missed the word repent and be baptized so that I may bless you and I may give you a future that I may prosper you and everything that you're doing
but yet we want all these things but we cannot stop living in sin. So today is the day of salvation. Today is a day where we say God I acknowledge you Lord I see you father Lord I know the things you've done for me we talked about it ten times on the stage tonight of what Jesus Christ did for you and I but yet we can go up to the cross and we can slap God repeatedly on the face with the sins that we're living in and now we're soaking in that we're enjoying because we can't recognize what the Lord has done for us. It's so light today in America there's no there's no meat to it there's no substance in serving God because we can easily come to an altar raise our hands and sing a song and people see you and you're in a picture on Instagram from row because people see you worshiping now they think you love Jesus when unfortunately the Jesus that you love does not line up with the Jesus that I serve because if we believe in the Jesus that I serve when he said repent and be baptized you're gonna take a 180 turn away from the sin that you're living in you're gonna begin to follow Jesus which means everything that changes. He can become Lord and Savior and most of us have made God our Savior but we are failing to make God our Lord and what does that mean we're we're not letting him be Lord over everything in our lives because we'd rather worship things that can give us a temporary fulfillment the temporary joy but yet when we think about the everlasting joy the blood on a cross that was shed for you and I so we could have eternal life we fail we miss that part and I came in here tonight saying Lord I don't know what in the world you want me to talk about I know I've got this scripture but God I want to preach the truth I don't want anyone ever walking out of this place and on any given Thursday to walk out of here without an opportunity to make Jesus Christ not only your Savior but also your Lord you're gonna begin to look different you're gonna walk different you're gonna act different you're gonna respond different you're gonna regroup you're gonna treat mom and dad differently you're gonna be a different kind of employee, a different kind of boss, a different kind of friend, a different kind of boyfriend, a different kind of girlfriend, maybe a husband and
wife you're gonna be different when you walk out of this place today But you have to accept the call that God has given you. You have to repent and turn your life around from the ways of evil and serve Jesus. That is the simple call tonight. Before you all walked in here, we were in here praying, about 20-25 of us, saying, Lord, would you let your will be done in this service? Would you let your will be done in this worship? Would you let your will be done in this word? Would you let your will be done, God, as people seek you and know you and experience you? But will you walk out of here different tonight, or will you walk out the same exact person that walked in? My prayer is that you would accept the call this evening. I'm just a measly guy with a mic at the moment. I ain't nobody special. I can't even speak that well, to be honest with you, but I do know one thing. My heart for you explodes. My heart for you, fellas, that I've sat down for coffee with, explodes. There's nothing more in my life than the joy of seeing people. As Charles and Karina got married last Thursday, there's nothing more joyous to me in my life to see two people of God who've totally turned their life around, and now they're creating a union together, saying, in the Lord, as a three-stranded braid, in the Lord, we will walk. And there's nothing more tonight that'll make me happy, that'll make God smile, to see you walk out of here today fully committing your life to Jesus. That is a simple call. So with every eye closed, I'm just gonna ask a few questions tonight. To respect the privacy of those around, I'm gonna have you please close your eyes, don't look around. Jesus is so madly in love with you. He knows the plans He has for you. He knows the purpose. Every tear that's ever fallen from your cheeks, He sees it. He knows your pain. He knows your hurt. And tonight, He wants to be with you. He wants to hold you. He wants to embrace you. And He wants you to come to Him. If I could have my team up here, I'm just gonna ask you a question. Maybe tonight you're saying, you know what, man, I've given my life to Jesus so many times, man, I feel guilty, I feel ashamed, like, I feel dumb for walking up there over and over and over. Do not let that hold you back tonight. Maybe you're in here today, you're saying, you know what, I've never accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior. He might have been my Savior, but He was never my Lord. Tonight is a night.
Maybe tonight you want to just receive healing. Spiritually, mentally, emotionally, physically, spiritually, emotionally, spiritually, mentally, emotionally, physically. So on the count of three, would you just raise your hand as a public declaration of your faith in Jesus? I don't only want to make you the Savior of my life, God, but I want to make you Lord. If that is you this evening, would you raise your hand on the count of three? One, two, three. I want to make you my Lord. I want to make you my Savior, God. I want to be with you, Lord. God, I want to fill your embrace. Maybe tonight you're saying, I want to rededicate my life back to you, Jesus. I've done it multiple times, Lord, but I've walked away. I've done my own thing, made my own plan. I want to come back. If that's you, now raise your hand. You want to come back to, simply come back to Jesus. If you raise your hand this evening, why don't you find a prayer friend up here? We're going to get into one song of worship. Team, if you see the hand go up and they're not coming up, just go right to them. It's okay. We're a little weird here at LFY, and I'm okay with that. Team, if you're out there right now, begin to pray for that person that God has laid on your heart to begin to pray for right now. We are a ministry of prayer and worship and the Word of God, and we will never, ever back down from now. So Father I thank you Jesus for this night. Holy Spirit we thank you that you were already here before we showed up God. We thank you for your spirit that is constantly drawing us to you Lord. We thank you for the mighty work that you are doing in us Lord God. As we surrender ourselves to you. Father would you receive our prayer God. We will not leave this altar until you show up. We will not leave this place God until you make yourself known. Father we will not leave this place Lord until the vision is clear. Until your promises are made clear Lord. Thank you God for what you are doing. We love you and we thank you. Jesus. Show me your face Lord. Your power and grace. I would make it to the end. If I could just see you. Show me your face Lord. Show me your face. Then gird up my legs. Then I might stand in this holy place. Show me your face Lord. Your power and grace. I would make it to the end. If I could just see your face. If we could just see your face Jesus. Fresh hope tonight Lord.
Fresh hope tonight Lord. Something to cling on to. Something to cling on to Lord. Show me your face Lord. Show me your face. Then gird up my legs. Then I might stand in this holy place. Show me your face Lord. Your power and grace. I would make it to the end. If I could just see your face. Show me your face Lord. Your power and grace. I would make it to the end. Show me your face, Lord. Please show me your face. In the dirt of my lands, in all my sin, in this holy place. Oh, show me your face, Lord. Your power and grace. I will beg unto you, if I could just see your face. If I could just see your face. That's your face, Lord. That's your face, Lord. Jesus is our delight. Come on, let's get high. Show me your face, Lord. Show me your face. In the dirt of my lands, in all my sin, in this holy place. Oh, show me your face, Lord. Your power and grace. I will beg unto you, if I could just see your face. If I could just see your face. In the dirt of my lands, in all my sin, in this holy place. In the dirt of my lands, in all my sin, in this holy place. In the dirt of my lands, in all my sin, in this holy place. In the dirt of my lands, in all my sin, in this holy place. In the dirt of my lands, in all my sin, in this holy place. In the dirt of my lands, in all my sin, in this holy place. sprinkled on the mercy seat, and it speaks a better word. It speaks the word forgiveness over our lives. And Lord, whether tonight was the first time that someone met you, or the thousandth, we want to say thank you, God, for showing up here tonight. We bless you, Jesus, and ask that you continue to work
in our lives, and in our hearts, and in our families. In Jesus' name, amen. Amen.
