Persona viene a esta iglesia Ya uno a tenido un encuentro personal con jesús a uno se ha bautizado No, sienten la presión de querer aparentar ser alguien que no son es más poco a poco van Entendiendo que la salvación solamente se obtiene por creer en la muerte y resurrección de jesús y aceptarlo a él como su señor y salvador pero por alguna razón después de recibir a jesús como su señor y salvador después de bautizarse y comenzar a vivir en la fe de repente comienzan a sentir una presión de querer vivir una vida cristiana perfecta una vida sin errores sin luchas sin dividir sin debilidades y comenzamos a querer aparentar ser alguien que dios nunca nos pidió ser y honestamente eso me duele porque muchas veces nosotros Nos ponemos una carga nos ponemos una expectativa tan alta que terminamos viviendo frustrados terminamos cansados y hasta comenzamos a dudar de nuestra salvación hay muchos aca que se van a dormir por las noches diciendo ven será que dios todavía me ama después de lo que hice o posiblemente se hacen la pregunta de será que realmente soy salvo tal vez estás ahí esa mañana y si estás ahí tengo muy buenas noticias para ti vamos a ver que nos dice Mateo capítulo 4 versículo 1 al 11 si no trajiste tu biblia van a estar acá a los versículos van a estar atrás de mi pantalla estoy leyendo Mateo capítulo 4 versículo 1 luego el espíritu llevó a jesús al desierto para que allí lo tentara el diablo durante 40 días y 40 noches ayuno y después tuvo mucha hambre en ese tiempo el diablo se le acercó y le dijo si eres el hijo de dios di a estas piedras que se conviertan en pan jesús le dijo no las escrituras dicen la gente no vive solo de pan sino de cada palabra que sale de la boca de dios después el diablo lo llevó a la santa ciudad jerusalén al punto más alto del templo y dijo si eres el hijo de dios tírate por las escrituras dicen el ordenará a sus ángeles que te protejan y te sostendrán con sus manos para que ni siquiera te lastimes el pie con una piedra jesús le respondió las escrituras también dicen no pondrás a prueba al señor tu dios

luego el diablo lo llevó a la cima de una montaña muy alta y le mostró todos los reinos del mundo y la gloria que había en ellos te daré todo esto dijo si te arrodillas y me adoras vete de aquí satanás le dijo jesús porque las escrituras dicen adora al señor tu dios y sírvele únicamente a él entonces el diablo se fue y llegaron los ángeles a cuidar a jesús hasta ahí el texto mira antes de ir a la primera tentación de jesús permíteme darte un poco de contexto sabemos que jesús acaba de ser bautizado por su primo juan a quien conocemos como juan el bautista y dice la biblia que cuando jesús se bautizó el espíritu de dios descendió sobre jesús y en ese momento dios confirmó la identidad de jesús como su hijo eterno y como el verdadero mesías pero inmediatamente el espíritu de dios llevó al desierto para ser tentado por satanás y es ahí cuando satanás quiere poner en duda la identidad de jesús como el verdadero hijo de dios y como el verdadero mesías ahora sí vamos a la primera tentación la cual he titulado la tentación de resolver legítimas necesidades fuera de la voluntad del padre el primer versículo describe la entrada de jesús al desierto para ser tentado por satanás mientras que el segundo versículo nos dice que después de ayunar 40 días y 40 noches jesús tuvo mucha hambre y fue tentado por satanás te puedo hacer una pregunta alguna vez te ha tocado conocer o estar cerca de alguien que tiene mucha hambre yo si y no voy a decir sus nombres porque no me quiero meter en problemas pero te pregunto esto porque tengo un punto acá mira después de 40 días ayunando jesús experimentó hambre real no symbolica, hambre humana, entonces en la primera tentación es obvio que Satanás ya sabía que Jesús era el hijo eterno de Dios, pero quiso usar su astucia para sembrar duda en Jesús sobre la identidad que el padre ya le había dado como el hijo eterno y como el verdadero, como el rey verdadero. Viste que Satanás comienza diciendo en el versículo 3, si eres el hijo de Dios, di a estas piedras que se conviertan en pan. Mira, Satanás no sólo estaba sembrando duda en Jesús sobre su identidad, sino que a la misma vez Satanás quería que Jesús dudara de la provisión de Dios sobre su vida. ¿Ustedes recuerdan lo que pasó en el Jardín del Edén? La Bíblia nos dice que Adán y Eva estaban criminando con Dios y Dios les había dicho que podían comer de todo árbol del huerto, excepto de uno. ¿Cuál era? ¿El árbol de la manzana? No, el árbol del conocimiento del bien y del mar. Pero en vez de confiar en Dios, Satanás les hizo

creer que Dios les estaba reteniendo algo bueno de ellos. En lugar de confiar en la palabra de Dios, decidieron tomar lo que Dios ya les había prohibido y en ese momento el pecado entró al mundo. Mira, lo más impresionante es esto, Adán y Eva estaban en un jardín lleno de abundancia y aún así fallaron ante la tentación, pero en Mateo 4 vemos que Jesús está en el desierto, Jesús está con hambre, cansado y solo, y él venció donde la humanidad falló, donde nosotros fallamos Jesús venció. Mira, veamos cómo Jesús responde a la tentación de Satanás en el versículo 4. Jesús le dijo, no, las escrituras dicen, la gente no vive solo de pan sino de cada palabra que sale de la boca de Dios. Jesús estaba haciendo referencia a la historia de Israel cuando en el viejo testamento nos dice que el pueblo de Israel cuando salieron de Egipto Dios también los llevó por el desierto y Moisés les estaba recordando que Dios los hizo pasar hambre para enseñarles algo, les estaba enseñando que no solamente la gente no vive solo de pan sino depender de la voluntad de Dios y me pregunto yo esta mañana, ¿cuántas veces hemos fallado en dudar de la provisión del Padre y nos apresuramos a tomar decisiones rápidas? Y es que muchas de las veces son necesidades legítimas como autos, como casas, como trabajos, pero en vez de esperar la provisión de Dios nosotros actuamos solos, actuamos en nuestra propia dirección en vez de buscar la dirección de Dios y aún así fallando en todo esto Jesús venció donde tú y yo hemos fallado mira vamos a la segunda tentación la tentación de poner a prueba la fidelidad de Dios mira lo que dice el versículo 5 después el diablo lo llevó a la santa ciudad Jerusalén al punto más alto del templo y dijo si eres el hijo de Dios tírate pues las escrituras dicen él ordenará a sus ángeles que te protejan y te sostendrán con sus manos para que ni siquiera te lastimes el pie con una piedra mira hay una razón por la cual el enemigo llevó a Jesús al templo y es que el templo representaba la presencia y la protección de Dios entre su pueblo ahora Satanás también incluso cita las escrituras no sé si te dices cuenta cita el salmo 91 un salmo

que habla acerca de la protección de Dios pero Satanás estaba usando la biblia incorrectamente para atentar a Jesús a poner a prueba al padre en pocas palabras Jesús estaba siendo tentado a que le pidiera a Dios que le mostrara que él estaba con Jesús en ese momento mira hace un tiempo estaba estaba en facebook como sean de dar cuenta I have some friends over there, but a while ago I was on my Facebook and I heard a pastor from a local church who was teaching the congregation and he was saying that they should use the word of God to ask God to give them everything they were asking for. And the Israelites had complained against God and put him to the test. They demanded from God to give them more water. In fact, they even asked, Men, is the Lord with us or not? And that questioning was testing the lack of confidence of God in their lives. Men, how dangerous it is to use the word of God to try to force God to do what I want him to do. How many of us here have done that? How many of us have gone to the word of God not to hear the voice of God, not to learn what God wants to teach us about our lives, but to support what I already want to do, to support my own thoughts. How many of us have sought people from the church or have gone to talk to pastors,

not to listen to the will of God, but to support our own opinions. I have done it, you have done it, but again where we fail, Jesus won. And look, many times we are also tempted to question the fidelity of God on our lives. We are tempted to question the protection of God on our lives and we want to manipulate God's promises. Many times we use the word of God to our convenience. We take the word of God out of context according to our own needs and our own desires and we want to do our will and not God's will. And many times we fail because we fall into that temptation. If I'm honest with you, I've also failed there, I've fallen. But once again, Jesus proves again that he has already won for us. That leads me to the third temptation. The temptation to receive glory without going through the cross. Look at what verse 8 says. Then the devil took him to the top of a very high mountain and showed him the kingdoms of the world and the glory that is in them. I will give you all this, he said, if you kneel and worship me. Now, why was this such a big temptation for Jesus? Because Jesus knew perfectly the way that awaited him, the way that was ahead. He knew that the cross was coming, he knew the suffering, the rejection, the humiliation, the pain that he was going to face. And Satan was offering him a shortcut. You can imagine Satan telling Jesus, You can have glory without the cross, you can receive the kingdom without suffering, you can be exalted without obeying, without obeying to death. Y ahí sentí que el mundo se me vino encima. Porque como hombre, yo sentía que yo tenía que proveer y cuando perdí mi trabajo, entré en una desesperación, no hallaba qué hacer. Y resulta que fui a ver a una mujer para que me hiciera una limpia espiritual. Y honestamente, ella me dice, hey, Marco, si tú pones tu confianza y tu fe en estos seres espirituales, dice, se te va a arreglar tu trabajo. Es más, hasta me contó quién había sido la persona que supuestamente me tenía envidia y no sé qué más. Pero él me dijo, mira, solamente lo que tienes que hacer es literalmente lo que te estoy compartiendo, postrarte ante seres espirituales. Y eso supuestamente me iba a arreglar mi problema y honestamente me duele. Pero estaba vendiendo al Mesías. Muchas de las veces nosotros así estamos, queremos las cosas rápidas, no queremos pasar por donde Dios quiere que pasemos, porque Dios quiere trabajar con nosotros, pero nosotros queremos evitar esos caminos, queremos las cosas rápidas. Y es que supuestamente esa mujer me decía que yo debía de poner mi fe y mi confianza en esos seres espirituales para no sufrir. Y honestamente, me dolió tanto porque me estaba tomando un atajo. Dios quería trabajar en mi corazón, pero yo quería tomarme un atajo. Yo quería la gloria sin la cruz. Mira, no quería seguir a Dios, solo quería una solución inmediata. Aún así, si eso significaba postrarme ante los seres espirituales equivocados. Mira, pero ahora vemos la respuesta de Jesús, versículo 10 y 11. Vete de aquí, Satanás, le dijo. Porque las escrituras dicen. Adora al Señor tu Dios, y sírvele únicamente a él. Mira lo que pasó. Entonces el diablo se fue y llegaron los ángeles a cuidar a Jesús y una vez más Jesús resistió la tentación anclado a la palabra de Dios. Una vez más donde nosotros fallamos, él venció y no se dejó seducir por las mentiras

del enemigo. Y es que Jesús no buscaba glorificarse a sí mismo. Él vino para glorificar al Padre, a ofrecerse como sacrificio vivo por amor a ti y a mí. Vino a pagar un precio en la cruz que nadie más podía pagar. Él sabía el camino que le esperaba, el camino hacia la cruz. Un camino de obediencia al Padre, sufrimiento, sacrificio, negarse a sí mismo y todo fue por amor a nosotros. ¿Cuántos de ustedes dicen amén? Amén. Y eso es precisamente lo que quiero, lo que Mateo nos quiere enseñar hoy. Donde nosotros fallamos, Jesús venció. Adam failed in the garden. Israel failed in the desert. We fail every day. We fail in the temptation to solve legitimate needs outside the will of the Father. We fail in the temptation to test the fidelity of God. We fail in the temptation to receive the glory without going through the cross. But my dear friend, Jesus remained faithful. He overcame the temptation. He perfectly obeyed the Father and went to the cross for us. That is why our hope is not in perfection, but in the victory of Christ. He is the true King, the true Messiah, and the only one who can save us. Amen? I'm going to ask everyone to stand up, no one looking. This is a moment between you and God only. No one looking. And as I told you at the beginning, possibly today you got here feeling like a failure, because you fail over and over again, and you feel like you're never going to make it. Maybe you've tried to live a perfect Christian life, but you've realized that you can't.

And that has stolen your peace. You've even asked yourself, man, does God still love me? Am I really saved? Or maybe you haven't even completely surrendered to Christ, because someone made you think that if you come to Jesus, you can't fail again. And that fills you with fear, because you know you're going to fail. But the good news of the gospel is this. Salvation never depended on your perfection. It depends on Jesus, on the sacrifice He made for you and for me on the cross. Thanks to the victory that Jesus won on the cross, today we can be saved. We can be free. He offers salvation for free. It's a gift, but the question is, do you want it? And if today you say, Pastor, I need to rest again in the grace of Jesus. I need to give my life to Christ. I need to leave this burden and trust in what He has already done for me. I want to pray for you where you are. If that's you, we want to pray with you. Let me pray. Father, Father, Lord, thank you for this church. Thank you for each of the people who are here, Lord. Father, I ask that each of the people who are here, if they have already known you, if they have already accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior, that they leave this burden of not trying to live a perfect life. Because it is impossible.

The only perfect was Jesus. He is our Messiah. I ask that they may rest. I ask that the peace that transcends all understanding be with them, Lord. That you have spoken to them to the depths of their hearts, Lord. And that they be obedient. That they kneel at your feet, knowing that there is nothing that we can do. Only trust in you and in you only, Lord. I ask that you remove that burden that they have put on themselves. That you remove that high expectation that they have put on themselves, Lord.
