But what I really love as we watch that and then go into this moment is that I know that everything, every bit of ministry that comes from Faith Church Orlando is in some way supported by giving. So can you put your hands together as we go into a time of giving our tithe and kingdom builders offering. yeah we celebrate because so many results so many testimonies come from the ministries done at faith I know if I've experienced it so much in my life I hope you've experienced it in your life but that actually is not the reason or the best reason that we tithe see we tithe to submit ourselves to God that is actually the best thing that comes out of giving our money to the kingdom and giving our money to God's work it's that what the in Jeremiah are called wicked hearts that's what it says about the human heart it's like oh that thing is wicked Matthew 6 tells us well here's where you can put the wicked heart here's where you can bury it so that it actually cares about the things Jesus cares about Jesus says where your treasure is there your heart will be found where your treasure is there your heart will be also and I don't know about you but I feel that sometimes throughout the week I've got at least ten things that are top priority urgent on my to-do list throughout the week anyone feel me on that right and so at some point it feels like oh man this thing's coming from my heart this thing's coming from my heart this thing's coming from my heart but I know that when I give and when I practice the discipline another not popular word discipline of tithing that every two weeks I just know in the background that recurring giving it's just happening what's also happening is that every two weeks my heart is reminding itself hey you're submitted here hey this is what you care about hey this is where you're

Easter's about seven weeks away, I think. And on Easter Sunday, that will be the our very first Faith Español service, okay? And that is coming. So that will be here at our broadcast campus at 2 p.m. on Easter Sunday, and then 2 p.m. every Sunday following that. And so we want to also make the announcement, as you can see here, that our pastors of that service will be Pastor Marcos and Margarita Gonzalez. And we're so excited for how God is going to use them. Their faith is already being stirred. And let me tell you why we're doing this. We're doing this to reach more people, that more people can encounter Jesus. That's why we're doing this. Let me also mention one other thing that we kind of need to mention just for our governance of our church, but we have an annual church business meeting, which is happening Thursday, February 26th, I believe it is. And so that is a week from Thursday. And the reason why I mentioned it today is because we are making some slight bylaw changes to our constitution and bylaws. Nothing that really affects any of our behaviors or any of our dealings, but we had our bylaws and constitutions reviewed by an attorney, which we do that every number of years. And so there was just some language changes. spelling changes and some things that were in the Constitution but not in the bylaws so we put it there but if you want to see what those changes look like before the business meeting we're required to do that by our own bylaws that's why we make this announcement you can grab those in every location and take a look at that but that annual business meeting will be February 26th and that is a Thursday night all right well I know you're ready for the word today and you are going to be so glad that you're part of this service it's my privilege to introduce our guest speaker pastor Dan Leanne and he comes all the

I don't know about you, but we're in the middle of February 2026, and it feels like nothing is slowing down. Life is short, time flies quickly. There are no replays of yesterday, there are no guarantees for tomorrow. You get these few sacred moments, make the most of your time.

You can redeem your days, you can spend your time wisely. Unto the glory of God, you can also waste this precious gift that God has given you. Not the people of faith, church, we will make the most of our time. Would you turn to a neighbor, let them know, you gotta make the most of your time. Would you turn to another neighbor and say, hey, second choice, you need to make more of your time as well. Make the most of your time. Let me pray, we'll jump into this word. Dear Jesus, help us make the most of our time, amen. Make the most of your time. I've been thinking so much about time lately because I think I got old this year. When you find yourself feeling old, you think so much about the life you've lived, what you've done, what you've achieved, the goals you set, what you hit, what you missed, and then the few years you have left. I turn 50 next week and it's got me feeling old. I know you're surprised, brother, because I don't look 50, but you know how they say black doesn't crack? Well, Asian don't raisin, you know what I'm saying? And I'm aging well. But trust me, my knees testify to every one of those 50 laps of the sun.

I'm feeling old. Anyone feeling old with me right now? I'm at that age where I'm waking up with injuries I didn't go to sleep with. Come on, any men in the room with me, you know the feeling, you're laying in bed at night, you're feeling good about yourself. You didn't hurt anything at the gym, you didn't pop anything on that run, and then you wake up in the morning to find that you tore a hamstring. Had a vigorous dream and now you're hobbling around. You know what I'm saying? I'm at that age where I'm making noises every time I sit down and get up. Anyone with me? Ugh, ugh. I'm at that age when I drop something, I've got to really make a plan on how I'm going to pick it up. Seriously, I dropped something the other day, I looked at it and I thought to myself, do I really need it anymore? Because that's going to hurt, picking it up. Sometimes if I'm not sure whether it's worth bending over and picking up, I'll just kick it along the street to see if someone picks it up for me. I'm at that age. I've been married 28 years.

Yes, don't clap for me, clap for my wife when you meet her. I've got a 22-year-old daughter who's getting married in June. Ooh, ooh. It's horrible. How would you feel if someone came into your house and stole your daughter and left the bill? That's what it feels like to see my daughter head off into marriage. I've got a 22-year-old son, a 20-year-old son, he's taller than me, he's stronger than me. I'm feeling so old and it is very evident that I have less days ahead of me than behind me and it's making me reflect on the way I'm spending my days because there are no replays of yesterday, there are no guarantees of tomorrow. You get these few sacred moments. I want to make the most of my time. Time. I've been thinking a lot about time, and you should too. Because that's what the Bible challenges us to do. In Psalm 90, the psalmist actually writes a prayer. Hey God, teach us to number our days. Grant us a heart of wisdom to process through the concept of having an eternal soul, but finite moments this side of eternity. So we don't waste one day in regret, one day in bitterness, one day in fear,

one day in anxiety, one day chasing something which doesn't mean anything in the grand scheme of eternity. Teach us, God, how to make the most of our time to redeem our days. And I know there are some people in this room who are asking this question in the depths of their soul. What kind of life have I lived? Have I wasted too many days? Have I blown too many seasons? Have I made the most of my opportunity to do something unto the glory of God which will resonate forever? Or have I wasted too many moments? Have I sat paralyzed looking at everyone around me and what they're doing and not actually engaged in life myself? I'm here to let you know if you've ever asked the question about how to make the most of your time, the Bible has some answers for you. And this is not just for the old people like me in the room. This is for the young people. I'm looking at the young people in the corner here looking all smug, looking all kind of like proud of yourselves because I was like born in the 2000s. You're looking at me like an old fossil born in the 1900s. I wanna let you, especially you, dude, with the TikTok hair situation, I wanna let you know. You gotta think about this stuff as well because you know what? This time stuff goes quick.

Life flies by. Yesterday, I was you and tomorrow you will be me. So we are all knit together by this common thread, this side of eternity. Time flies, life is short. Make the most of your time. So here's the question, how? I can hear you asking the question. Okay, big Asian guy who sounds like the crocodile hunter but looks like Jackie Chan, how? How do we make the most of our time? You're right. I found myself thinking about, pondering about, reflecting on life. I'm looking at my family growing up quick, the seasons of life changing from springtime to summer, summer into winter, and you're asking the question, how do we make the most of our time? Well, the good news is every time you have a question, you go to the Bible because the Bible isn't an archaic piece of literature from back in the day. The Bible is a living, breathing conversation that God wants to have with us every day. So what I did is I spent some time in the Scriptures asking this question, if I wanted to make the most of my time, how would I do so? If I wanted a framework or a filter or a lens through which I look at life to make sure that every single 24-hour period

is redeemed unto the glory of God, where is my path forward? And I felt the Holy Spirit lead me to a portion of Scripture in 2 Timothy chapter four. If you have your Bibles, go with me to 2 Timothy chapter four. And we'll be looking at verses six, seven, and eight. 2 Timothy was written by the apostle Paul. If you're relatively new to church, welcome. I hope you find yourself at home. And Paul was a guy just like you and me, an ordinary human being called to an extraordinary purpose. And what Paul did was he was empowered by God to write much of the New Testament. But what's fascinating about 2 Timothy, which he wrote, was 2 Timothy takes on a different angle. Whereas most of his writings centered in on church and governance and growing it and correcting things, 1 and 2 Timothy were written not from one guy to a general church, but from a spiritual father to a spiritual son. Specifically, 2 Timothy, most scholars believe, was the last writings of Paul. This was his farewell letter. And it takes a very personal tone. It was an older man writing to a younger man, an older man at the end of his life thinking about the journey that he had experienced, and then turning a challenge

towards a young man starting his journey. So in 2 Timothy chapter four, verse six, the Bible says, for I'm already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time for my departure is near. There were different times where the apostle Paul would talk about himself as a preacher of the gospel, as a co-leader. with Christ as a co-heir in the kingdom, as an apostle, albeit the least of apostles, but here in this text, he talks about himself as a drink offering that was poured out. A splash of wine on the altar that's here one moment and evaporated the next. He says, the time for my departure is near. I can hear those second hands ticking. The final boarding call is up on the screen. I know my days are short. And then in verse seven, he talks about the life he's lived and he challenges his young spiritual son to do the same. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have kept the faith. Now there is for me, now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day. And not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing. Hey, my time is short, my days have been spent. There are but a few breaths left in these lungs. But I sit here satisfied, ready to step into glory because I have fought the good fight,

I ran my race, and I kept the faith. Spiritual son, family of God, would you do the same? For all of us, before we know it, stand before a good king who bestows a crown of righteousness. For those who have kept the faith, who have run their race, who have fought a good fight. And here is the challenge to all of us today. If you ask the question, what am I meant to do with this life? How am I meant to spend my days? How am I meant to use this precious time? Would you fight the good fight? Would you run the race? Would you keep the faith? If you're taking down notes, you can scribble those words down now. You can pull out your leather-bound journals and your pens right now. I'm not saying you need to take notes to get into heaven. I'm just saying, why take a chance? You know what I'm saying? Get to the end, could be an open book quiz. I'm messing around, that's not true at all. That's not true at all. But it's good to write stuff down for a review later. Where are my iPhone people at? Where are my iPad people at? Open up the Note app and thank the Lord Jesus for Steve Jobs as you do so. That's a wonderful piece of technology you have right there.

Where are my Android people at? My Samsung users? You can put it away, ma'am. I've got nothing for you or for your friends, for the rest of us. Because you mess up our group text with your green bubble energy. Very invasive, you know what I'm saying? We're all on the same page, it's blue. We're going back and forth, boop, boop, boop. And then Shazam, the whole thing gets hijacked green because our sister over here couldn't bypass that deal at the Verizon at the strip mall. Thank you very much, ma'am. Thank you very much. I'm messing around, you can write some stuff down too. This is how we make the most of our time. Fight the good fight. Fight the good fight. Operative word is good. In your life, you're gonna fight. In your life, you're going to struggle and strain towards taking some form of dominion. And I've got some good news and some bad news for you. Most likely you will win what you fight for. The bad news is you will win what you fight for. And some of the stuff that you fought for your entire life in the grand scheme of eternity doesn't matter that much. So if you find yourself asking the question, what am I doing with my time?

Ask yourself this question. What am I really fighting for? Who am I really fighting with? What will I win if I win this fight? And is it a good God fight? Because I know you're gonna fight because you're Americans. Do you know that America has the most combative national anthem on planet earth? It's so different than the Australian national anthem. The Australian national anthem, Google it later, is literally about a beach. Our national anthem is about being young and free on a land surrounded by sea. Our anthem is about, hey, we're on a beach. Don't work too hard. Grab a coconut. Chill. Not America's national anthem. You all got bombs and guns and flares. There's a guy in a prison cell looking through a little window. There's a star spangled banner. It's waving, keep on fighting, boys. Keep on fighting. You're gonna fight because it's in our DNA and I love it. That's the reason me and my family, we're trying with everything that we have to stay in America forever because we love the fight. And not only are you American,

you're a very unique kind of American. You all are Floridian Americans. No one fights like a Floridian American. So the question isn't, will you fight? The question is right now, what are you fighting for? Now, I'm not saying that you don't have a right to hold an opinion, to hold a view, to have a stance. I'm not saying that you shouldn't share what you hold is really important on Facebook, you know, and just like share that very informative video that I promise you, I watch it from start to finish every single time you send it to me. I promise you I do, I don't. I'm saying it's your God-given American right to see the world through a certain lens. Just make sure the thing that you fight hardest for in your life is something Jesus fought for as well. Actually, I've made a decision. In the midst of the craziness in the earth, the pool here and the battle there, I've decided that I'm going to only let my life bleed for something that Jesus bled for himself. Again, have your view, hold an opinion, have your take on the way a society should be run. That is your American-given right, but your God-given responsibility is to see the things that Jesus hung on a cross for, was buried in a tomb for, defeated hell for, rose again for, and let your life align with that kind of fight. You have family members in your life right now

who without Jesus will spend a godless eternity apart from him. How dare we stand to the side, numb to that reality. I wanna be about, come on, that fight. We're in a city right now with incredible churches, but how many know that our city is still full of people who need to come into a living faith with Christ Jesus? I wanna align my energy, my resources, my experience with what God is doing here in this church because I wanna be about a good fight. That's one of the things that's so clear and evident being around this church. This is a living and active church that beats with a heart in tune with God's heart, and we are on mission here. I beg you, I implore you, I plead with you, no longer should you stand to the sides watching the battle rage. Roll up your sleeves, grab a spiritual weapon, and get engaged. Come on, in a good fight. You gotta fight. Everyone say fight. Say fight like an Australian, fight. Say fight like an American, fight. Say fight like my dad, fight. That was a racism test and a lot of you failed it. Fight the good fight. Number two, you gotta run your race. You gotta run your race.

Come on, turn to your neighbor, let them know, you got a race to run. You got a race to run. Fight the good fight and run your race. What a mind-blowing concept that the God of this universe marked out a race for you to run. That's what Hebrews chapter 12 tells us, that we have a Jesus who was so good and so engaged and so intricately intertwined into your story that with his own hands, he would mark out a race for you to run. What an honor, what a privilege, what a skin-tingling notion that my King also loves me enough to order my steps. How dare I stand around the starter's line, not running my race, comparing myself with that person, competing with this person. I'm going to run my race. Out of my family, my son, Josiah, who's 20, is the most American out of all of us because he moved here when he was 11. He speaks with the most American accent. He eats fried food for breakfast and doesn't see an issue with that. He also played every sport in high school because when we first moved here, everyone kept asking, what sport does he play? What sport does he play? What sport does he play? We thought it was a part of our immigration agreement

to have him play sport, so we just made him play all kinds of sport. So he played football, he played a season of basketball, he ran a season of cross-country, and he ran a season of track. Anyone run track before? Any track runners here in the room? You're a track, what is your, a sprinter? You're a long-distance, okay, sprinter. My son was put into the 400-meter hurdles. The kid has never run 400 meters in his life, never seen a hurdle in his life, but he's a taller kid, so they put him in the 400-meter hurdles. I'm a little nervous because Those hurdles are really tall. I'm thinking to myself, can he do this? But then I think to myself, maybe this is an undiscovered skill that he has that this wonderful coach in South Carolina identified. This is the kind of stuff Disney movies are made of. So we're going along to the first track meet, and I'm getting excited in my heart. Just say this is a freakish skill that he has that is now uncovered. So his event comes around, before I know it, the starter's gun goes off, and my son takes off with everything that he's got. No form, no conserving his energy. He just runs as fast as he can, jumps as high as he can,

and after 50 meters, he's winning. I'm thinking to myself, this is a skill that we have discovered. I'm thinking to myself, he's gonna get college offers from this. I'm like Googling, where is the summer 2028 Olympics? I'm like going, this is amazing. Then after 100 meters, my son starts slowing down because he's running out of gas. By the 150 meter mark, he's falling behind. He doesn't have any more energy to jump any more hurdles. He started doing this. He's kicking him over and stepping over the top. By the last 100 meters, he didn't have the energy to lift his leg and kick the hurdle. He was doing this. Now, I'm not sure who won that race. I'm pretty sure I'm the father of the kid who came last in the race, but I am 100% sure because of video evidence. There was a Chinese-Australian guy standing on his feet in the stands at T.L. Hannah, screaming at the top of his lungs, I love you, buddy. Keep on going. Don't stop, champ. I'm so proud of you. Just stay in your lane. Finish the race, buddy. So if I would do that for my son,

how much more does our heavenly Father look in your direction this Sunday morning, and boom, I love you, I'm for you. Keep on running your race. You have a family to impact. You have a marriage to take care of. You have finances to steward. You have a neighborhood to shine light in. You have a family tree to transform. Run your race. Come on, all the race runners, put their hands together and praise God for a race to run. I sometimes talk to people who say, you know, why am I the only Christian within my family? I see all these other families, and they got such spiritual heritage, such a lineage. Why am I so cursed? I'm saying, you're not cursed. You are the blessing for that entire family tree, and through your life, come on, stories will be different. Come on, run your race in your industry, in your workplace, in the school that you study, the college where you're getting your degree. Run your race. Fight the good fight, run your race, and finally, keep the faith. Operative word, keep it. If I'm asking you to keep something for me, there's a strong insinuation

that you have to be really deliberate with it. You can lose it. You can mistreat it, misplace it. You can let someone steal it from you. My friend, be conscientious in keeping the faith. I love this church, faith by name, but also faith by nature. Soul saving, sea splitting, dead raising, dead raising, mountain moving kind of faith. That's what we will be defined by, not only by the sign out the front of our church, but the signpost that we're gonna be as we walk around our communities. We're gonna keep the faith. It's heartbreaking because I've seen, especially in the last five or six years, a lot of people exchange this kind of faith for other things. It's very easy in this journey to exchange our faith for just a formula. Hey, my Christianity is a list of boxes that I check to make sure that God stays on my side. I will check the minimum boxes, and then I'll keep on going. Jesus went through way too much to allow our faith to become just that. Come on. I've seen a lot of people see their faith change for frustration. How agitated people are.

How on edge people are. How ready to get into a dispute to break peace. I don't believe the children of God were meant to be marked by such fragile tempers. I believe that the fruit of the Holy Spirit is love and joy. and the peace and the patience. Don't exchange faith for frustration all the time. Keep the faith. I've seen way too many people exchange faith for fear. Have you noticed that? How fearful people get so quick. Wars and rumors of wars. A headline here, a post there, or did you hear this here? It robs us of our peace and our joy so quickly. My Bible tells me that perfect love, who is Jesus, casts out all fear. I don't know if the children of God should be walking around fearful all the time. In the name of Jesus, we break fear off your life. Intimidation off your life. Anxiety and stress and worry off your life. Keep the faith. I'm thinking about a couple of friends of mine at our main campus back in South Carolina. Two great guys who are veterans, who have served our country and now serve within the volunteer base of our church. And I've seen their faith so attacked in the last couple of years.

And two men, you know, manly men, like big, thick, lush bearded men. I'm talking about like trucks that are already big, but lift the truck kind of men. You know what I'm saying? Renting land in Kansas, shooting all kind of deer kind of men. But how fearful they became. I'm thinking about a conversation from a couple of years back. Remember there was a news story that just like grabbed America's attention a couple of years ago. It was this story about of a Chinese spy balloon. Does anyone remember the Chinese spy balloon that was floating across America? I remember getting to church one Sunday morning and my two buddies came up and goes, Diane, what are you going to do about the Chinese spy balloon? I said, first of all, timeout. Why do you assume that I can, it's not like the CCP gives me like a hotline number when I get bored. Second of all, if you really break it down logically, most likely it's not a Chinese spy balloon. Most likely it's a gender reveal gone wrong. Cause you all take this gender reveal stuff way too seriously. It's most likely a giant balloon

that started in California. It's full of pink confetti and it just got out of control. And even if there was a spy balloon, you do know that no foreign country has to send a balloon to take your picture or listen to your conversations. Because you all are literally holding a listening and picture device on your lap, right? Ni hao Shanghai, how's the weather? You'll see, it'll come up later. And even if there was a spy balloon in the sky watching me, you know why I have no fear? My Bible tells me my father neither slumbers nor he sleeps and he watches over that balloon as he watches over me. Can someone say a good amen to that? Keep the faith. In fact, I believe that one of the strongest apologetics as we walk through this period of time in society and culture, is actually the confidence we carry. As children of God, bless peacemakers who have a deep and profound belief that our God is still on the throne, the best is yet to come and he gets the final say. Come on, I believe that that will resonate. So keep the faith. All of us at some point in our journey will find ourselves at a juncture, asking the exact same question. What have I done with my time?

The men and women of God who will be able to reply, I don't know what I've done with my time. I don't know what I've done with my time. Who will be able to reply, I fought the good fight. I ran my race and I kept the faith. Smile with a quiet confidence and rest with a good King knowing they made the most of their time. So as we finish off our time together here in the second service, I wanna do two simple things. Number one, there are some people in this room who over the last 34 minutes felt God in a strange way, tap at their heart's door. It's been a strange sensation because you're going, it feels like God's trying to get through to me and actually take residence as the King of my heart. Because there are some people who walk through these doors today, carrying God's name in their hearts. some religion. You had this structure or this framework in your head or your heart regarding what it looked like to live a life that somehow impressed God. I'm here to let you know that's not the gospel. The gospel isn't about you doing something to get to God. The gospel is what God did through his son Jesus to get to you. And that's the reason you felt that this morning. And as we wrap up our time, I would love to give you an opportunity to simply open up your heart's door to King Jesus. Now, full disclosure, it'll change everything. Under new management forever, it'll change the way you do life. I made this decision when I was 17 and it has been radically changing me ever since. But oh, what a beautiful change it is. You may ask the question, why does God bother knocking? Isn't he God? Well, he's love and love never forces itself. Love presents itself. So can I invite you, everyone in this room, just to close your eyes gently, but to open up your hearts. And let me ask you this question. Are you ready to make Jesus Christ your King and your Savior today?

Did you hear that knock? Will you respond? So with every eye closed, but every heart open, if you're saying, Dan, I want to make Jesus Christ my King, my Lord, my Savior. When I count to three, I want you to raise your hand where you are and give me a wave. With every eye closed, but every heart open. If you're saying, I heard Jesus knocking, I want to make him King. When I count to three, lift your hand. Are you ready? One, two, three. Okay. Keep it high lifted. Amazing. Amazing. Keep it high and lifted. So cool. Hands everywhere. Now with your hand lifted, I want you to pray this out loud after me. In fact, we'll do it all together as an act of unity and support, church. Come on, let's pray this out loud. Dear Jesus, I open my heart to you. I surrender my life to you. I repent. I turn from my own way. I turn your way. Thank you for the cross. Thank you for the empty tomb. You live today. You live in me. Amen. Can you put your hands together for all the people who lifted theirs? Okay. If you lifted your hand, even if you're on one of the campuses right now, I'm going to be hanging out in the foyer afterwards, and I want to give you a hug. Okay. Like it'll be an appropriate side hug. And if you don't feel good about the appropriate side hug, I'll give you a very, very vigorous high five. Okay. But I want you to meet me out there after you'll also listen to the instructions of the pastor who will be stepping into this space in a few moments time. Is that cool? Come on, one more time. Put your hands together for all who lifted theirs. So cool. Now finally, with every eye open and every head raised and everyone looking around in a judgmental manner. Now I do this on purpose because the Bible says God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble. And there's nothing as humbling as saying, hey, that was me with people watching. And I've learned over the last 32, nearly 33 years of walking with Jesus, he doesn't only make promises, he keeps them. So I'm just trying to activate a promise for your life before you leave today. Because I know there are some people in this room who are saying, I can't waste any more time. In fact, there are some people who are saying, I've wasted too much time. But by the grace of God going forward, I will fight the good fight. I will run my race. Come on, and I'm going to keep the faith. So if that word was for you today, would you lift your hand high in the sky right now, all over this room, if that word was for you. How cool is that? Keep them lifted. In the name of Jesus, I speak grace on grace on grace over my brothers and sisters, all over our faith church family. Fill their sails with wind from heaven to help them explore

the territories that you have for them as they fight the good fight, run their race, and keep the faith. In Jesus name, amen. Come on, thank God for that. A God who loved you so much, who came to earth to give you purpose and freedom. Let that be the fireplace we always warm ourselves by. And by the grace of God, may many thousands of people in this great city in the years to come, find space around that campfire as well. God bless. Thank you.
