We definitely felt in our hearts that the Lord was calling us to another place, another land. We were always coming to Florida two times a year, three times a year to go on vacation. We both started to get like a stirring or something in us that said, you know, this would be a nice place to live. My thing is that whenever I go on vacation, I'm always looking for a church. So I was like, okay, since you want to go to church, I'll look on Instagram, and faith popped up. So Sunday came, and we came to the church. So the service was going on, and we just felt so at home. Like at that moment, we weren't like, let's pick up our whole lives and go. It was like, oh, this is a nice church to visit on vacation. So we go back to New York, and I become an online member. Even watching in the services, we just felt this tug to move to Florida. But we were like, God, everything's perfect in New York. We have our church. We have our family. We have our house. We have our businesses. Everything is great. What do you mean pick up your whole lives and move? So I just cried out to God like, God, please let me be happy here, take away this tug to move to Florida. Let me just be content here. After that prayer, the tug just gets stronger and stronger until I just couldn't take the tug anymore. We try to explain to people while we're doing it. No one could understand, but my wife and I were on the same page. We see what you're Doing we see that you're calling us to this place and we're just gonna trust you We don't know the next step, but we trust that you have a plan and a reason why you're bringing us to faith in June of 2025, we happen to play myself and wife on my three children and we just left We found an Airbnb in Davenport, yeah, and we stayed there I remember I was just crying out to God because we still didn't have a house I think it's hard for as a as a dad to and as a husband because you have to make sure Make sure that you're doing the right thing for your family, you know, your wife is looking at you And your kids are looking at you What you just feel in your heart This is what you need to do Well, you don't even have a house bro, you know, like you have you just have a word you just have a Call but it was that that pressure in the back of your head that you know, we time is running out

The Airbnb is not gonna be forever We just Continued our faith walk and got it really open the door for our family that we closed a week before the kids started school Since coming to faith to we've grown so much. We're doing we're in faith Institute We've just grown even further that than we did in New York, so God truly ordered our steps here and Now that we're here. I cannot see myself without the community that I've made here and God is faithful We don't know what tomorrow holds, but we're just trusting God that he will continue to guide us Come on let's put our hands together. What an awesome awesome testimony and story in addition to Our church family. I know that family. around churches and both of them had the same statistics where they said that Father's Day each year for the average church that Father's Day is the one of the lowest attended Sundays of the year one study said it was the lowest attended Sunday of the year when I read that I rebuked it in Jesus name I said no come on now I mean I guess there's got to be one lowest attended Sunday of the year but let's just make it not next week all right so listen whether you're a dad or not or whether you've had a good father or not listen next week is gonna be a great week for you I've got a word from God I can't wait to share next week so be here but especially dads be here bring your whole crew don't miss next week and let me let me introduce our guest speaker and I want to just kind of reinforce what Pastor David said a moment ago when he was talking about our opportunity to sow into Pastor Scottie's ministry I want to bless him I want to bless when people come and share I want to bless them beyond what they're even expecting and so would you just join me I already gave towards that opportunity and I would you just join me in doing that today if you haven't already but I'm telling you I am so excited to have Pastor Scottie Gibbons here today he has been a friend of mine for decades and decades and he has been an inspiration to me in a lot of ways and you know those kind of people that when you hang around with them you need friends like this but when you hang around with them and you get away and you you want to be more like Jesus because you spent some time with them that's how Pastor Scottie is and I I've gotten to see firsthand just the the fruit of his genuine commitment to the Lord through through the ministries that he has led and now he serves as lead pastor at a great church in Oklahoma City called People's Church but I'm telling you he he cannot say yes to all of the invitations that he gets he's a very sought-after communicator and I am just so grateful that he said yes to us and so I'm excited to have him here and I'm excited for you to hear him if you haven't heard him before but Faith Church can we do what we do and can we make welcome come on Pastor Scottie Gibbons as he comes to bring the Word of God to our church amen

praise the Lord can we give Jesus a hand clap of praise come on let's honor the Lord if you love him you're thankful for salvation for your King your Lord amen you can have a seat and what a treat to be here with you today this is one that I've had circled on the calendar for quite a while I know that you already know this but you are a blessed church that'd be a great place for a man right there you're a part of a wonderful church and there's such a reputation of how God uses this church it's a model not just for other local expressions of God's church here in Florida but literally around the world and God really is moving through this place in such a special way and how many of you know he gets all of the glory all the honor all the praise because to him alone deserves the credit yeah he chooses to work through people and he's blessed you with just exceptional leaders in Pastor Johnny and Jamie and and he referenced just the longevity of our friendship and it really is true all the way back to our Bible college days and I was explaining it to my daughters we were driving to the airport yesterday, I think, is when we were talking about it, just telling her about Pastor Johnny and Jamie. And I said, I just remember back in Bible college, they were incredible athletes in college. They were gifted worship leaders. Like I remember being in services where they were leading or God was using them and just being aware of the fact that the favor of God is on them. Like God's anointing is on them and their ability to lead people into the presence of the Lord. And then certainly just the speaking gift, the preaching gift. But then I told my daughter, I said,

but they're amazing leaders. Like they have a spiritual leadership gift, their attention to detail, the spirit of excellence with which they lead, their ability to raise up leaders. And told her a bit about just the discipleship process. God has used this house. He's used their leadership, not only through fine arts, but that would be an example that my daughter could understand. Because she knew at the fine arts festival, you constantly hear Faith Orlando, Faith Orlando, Faith Orlando, Faith Orlando, give it up for Faith Orlando. It's like God's doing something in Orlando through Faith Church. But it was more than just a program or some type of activity for students. They were raising up world changers. They continue to do that. And still to this day, young people who are serving all over the world because of God working through just the fingerprints of their leadership. And while all of that is true, everything that I just said, I firmly believe. Most striking to me is not just the gift, the talent, the ability that God has entrusted to them and placed inside of them, but it's been how they have stewarded the favor of God.

And so these decades later, for me to get to hang out and spend time and see, they're still walking with such humility. And I would use the word meekness because there's a strength, a boldness, and yet a God dependence. They don't chase the spotlight. They are true shepherds and pastors who love God and love God's people. And you get to call them pastors. Can you put your hands together and thank the Lord for Pastor Johnny and Jamie? Love you, appreciate you both. Grateful to you. Thanks for letting me be a small part of just how God is using you. Well, I have a picture of my family that I'd love to show you today. Here's my crew right here. My best friend, my bride, Casey, along with our six children. Stretch your hands for me and pray for me right now. Would you just pray for me? Pray for me. I need prayer. I need prayer. Two of them, two of my girls, are in serious relationships right now. Pray for that. And then the other three daughters

are single and ready to mingle. So pray for that if you would. And then Jordan, the caboose right there, he holds down the fort. But I love my crew. So six kids, all of them are boys except for the five girls. There they are right there. And we have so much fun. So missing them, can't wait to get back to them. But I'm blessed. I'm blessed as a dad, blessed as a husband. I really do believe that God has a word for you today. Do you believe that? Are you ready to hear from God's word today? You ready to receive from the Lord? Well, for the six of you who are, God wants to speak to you. I wanna say this and I say it sincerely. Whatever circumstance you feel like may have been the reason why you are here today. My wife taught me in the coming. My mama made me come, or whatever it would be. This is my one out of five that I actually show up at church and that's why I'm here today. Or maybe you've never been to a church service before. I want you to know whatever circumstance you think may be the reason why you're here, I'm here to tell you God brought you here today. It's not by chance that you're here.

And I especially wanna say to those of you who have yet to say yes to Jesus. You have not yet surrendered your heart to him. I want you to know I'm so glad that you have come because this is a place that does a fantastic job of presenting an accurate picture of Jesus. So I'm so glad that you've come, but I will encourage you, come back when the real preacher is in the house, all right? So bummer for you, you got me. That's all right, but come back because he's an incredible preacher of the word. But week in and week out what you'll see is this is a place that is very committed to introducing you to a real God who really loves you, really cares about you. He sees you today and he has something even for you today. And so I would say to everybody that this message is going to be speaking to those who have already said yes to Jesus and yet God will talk to all of us. But I just believe that God is about to have his way. Can I get a good amen right there? As a matter of fact, why don't you just turn to the person next to you and say, I'm so glad you came to church today. Come on, go ahead and tell them that. Say, I'm so glad you came to church. Turn to the person on the other side right now and say, you look like you need some church today.

You kind of got that look in your eye like you could use a little bit of Jesus right now. I don't know if you noticed, but when you came in today, that there are a lot of different people in this room. I don't know if you noticed that, but when you look around, there are some different people. As a matter of fact, I'd say the person seated in your chair today is just different, just a little bit different. The reality is we're all fearfully and wonderfully made. God made each one of us uniquely, distinctly different from anyone else. I mean, when God made you, he took one look at you and he said, that's enough of that. And then he just moved right along. He broke the templates. I mean, I can look at my own life and know that God really does like me, but in his sovereignty, he didn't make everybody like me. We're different, we're unique. In this room right now, there are introverts who, when I say that, they say absolutely nothing. Why? Because they're introverts. And then there are extroverts in this room today, and you don't, yeah, go ahead, extrovert. There's your moment. You don't have to call for it. You don't have to invite it. They're gonna ooh, no matter what.

You don't have to, they're gonna clap, extroverts. My wife, Casey, is extroverted, I'm introverted. She's a people, people, kind of a person everywhere she goes. She loves people, she sees people. The more people, the better. She enjoys learning. If you and her were just having a walk in the hallway, she'd stop, she'd pause. It's eye contact, it's 100 questions, it's tell me about your family, tell me about your children, you got any pictures I can see? She just loves people. And it's not that I don't love people. It's just that a little bit of you goes a long ways with me. That's just how I'm wired. Love you, but that's good. I mean, that's just how we're wired. Some people are journey people and some people are destination people. How many of you know what I'm talking about when I say that? Right, journey people, just enjoy the ride. Enjoy the scenes. Enjoy the sights, the sounds. Oh, people, more people, beautiful. Let's look at this. Casey is journey, I'm destination.

So if I'm going from point A to point B and at any part of that process you say, hey, what's on your mind? Point B. You're like, but no, for real, what else? What are you thinking about? Point B. I mean, I'm trying, I'm looking for it, but there's nothing else I'm thinking about except for point B, which really makes for interesting family road trips and things like that. We need the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit helping us in that car, on that car ride. We just see life differently. And practically speaking, I mean, it plays out in all kinds of ways, but if we go to the grocery store to get a loaf of bread, if I'm in the car driving there and Casey goes in to get the bread, used to, back in the day, I'm thinking, she's getting a loaf of bread, I'd take five minutes tops. You go in, you grab the bread, you get right back out. Nope, that's not how that works. That's not how it's gonna flow. And you can spend your years hoping for it to change. You can get mad. Not that I ever did. I'm just saying you could get mad.

You could have a conversation when she gets back. But what I've just learned now is you just let it go on in and get somewhere real comfortable, kick back in the seat, take you a good nap, because it's gonna be a minute before she gets back. She's met a friend, they're talking, they're having a holy huddle on the bread aisle, starting a small group right there in front of the cereal, just praying for the sick. I mean, just believing for miracles. Let somebody to the Lord, and then she'll come back to the car and she will, you will not believe what just happened. I'm like, oh, I believe. I believe. Now, if I go in, it's not that I'm trying to be unfriendly, and so if you're there, and if you're on the bread aisle, and you're like, man of God, calls himself a preacher of the world, didn't even speak to me. Listen, I'm not trying to be rude. It's just that I didn't notice that you were there. And some would say, are you kidding me? You walked right past me, and you're gonna say you didn't see? How could you say you didn't even see me? Because you're not bread. So that means I wasn't looking for you. Can I get a good amen right there?

Man, I'm looking for bread, and if you're not bread, I don't even see you. I'm not trying to be mean. I'm just looking for some bread. We're different. That's by God's design. And what I would suggest to you is that in his sovereignty, he made us that way, and we need each other. As a matter of fact, if you're taking notes, which I think is really cool, if you are, you can write as the title, just simply that. We need each other. I need you, and you need me. As a matter of fact, a guy by the name of Paul who wrote much of the New Testament, writing to a church in Corinth, and he's writing this letter to them, which we have today in our Bible called the Book of Corinthians, 1 Corinthians and 2 Corinthians, and I want us to look today at 1 Corinthians, and as he's writing to the church about how we're all different, but how we need each other, he uses the analogy of a body. I want us to look at a few verses here. Let's start off with 1 Corinthians chapter 12, chapter 12, verse 12. If you're ready, say uh-huh. Come on, if you mean it, say oh yeah. He says, just as a body, though one, has many parts.

Somebody say many parts. Just as a body, though one, one body has many parts, but all its many parts form one body. So it is with Christ. Verse 20, as it is, there are many parts. What does it say, but one body. I like this next verse. Look at it, it says, the eye cannot say to the hand, I don't need you, and the head cannot say to the feet, and I don't need you. I mean, you can't say that if you're part of the body. You can't say to another part of the body, I don't need you. Verse 27, now you are the body of Christ. Somebody say I am the body of Christ. You and I are the body of Christ, and each one, that's you, that's me, is a part of it. And what I would suggest to you today is that God made each of us uniquely. We're different, but different does not equal bad. Different equals different. We need each other. I need you, you need me. I can't be the me I'm supposed to be unless you help me. You cannot do what God has created you to do unless I help you. We learn about our responsibility to one another not only in Corinthians, but in numerous scriptures. Let me give you a few of them. John 15, 12 says love one another.

Romans 12, 10 says honor one another. Galatians 6, 2 says bear one another's burdens. Second Corinthians 13, 11, comfort one another. First Peter 4, 10, serve one another. Hebrews 10, 25, encourage one another. We can't say I don't need you. We can't say no, I'm just focused on me. As a matter of fact, just turn to your neighbor right now and say I need you and you need me. Go ahead and tell them that. Say I need you and you need me. Turn to the person on the other side right now and say you need more help than I can give you. Just go ahead and tell them that. I'd love to help you, but you need more than I got, my brother. Ephesians chapter four, verse 16 says he, meaning God, makes the whole body, check this out. He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part, that's you and me, does its own, look at this, special work. See, each of us have a role. You're not here by chance. It just, you didn't just, I don't know what you think the circumstances were for bringing you into the world. You certainly didn't sign up for it. How many of you know that? You didn't start your heart beating. And whatever the enemy has tried to put into your head as to the accident that you were

or the circumstances surrounding, I want you to know you are here by God's design. You're here because God chose you. God brought you here. Listen, somebody needs to hear this today. God did not create you because he needed you. God created you because he wanted you. And when he created you, you're fearfully and wonderfully made, designed, shaped, fashioned, put together by God for God, and you didn't just show up here to be along for the ride. He created you with a divine purpose. It's inside of you. It's inside of you. It's more than wake up and go to work, go to school, go home, go to sleep, start over. No, no, there's an eternal divine plan and purpose from God inside of you. You can't fulfill that without me. I can't fulfill me and mine without you. The eye cannot say, the head cannot say, no, no, no, no, no, we all need each other. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow so that the whole body, somebody. You say all of it. So that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love. Well, we have responsibility to one another. Let me quickly give you just three

that we might highlight here together. Number one, if you're taking notes, write it down. Number one, we have responsibility to love one another. Write it down. We have responsibility to love one another. Anybody else besides me notice that in 2026 in the United States of America, that there's just a little bit of hate going on. Anybody notice that? Anybody else seen that? If you watch the news, it's just a little bit of strife, just a little bit of division, just a little bit of animosity, just a little bit of hostility, just a little bit of cancel. I'll cancel you. What's your name? You're canceled too. Just a little bit. They'll talk about your mama. I mean, it's just hostile out there. Lot of division, lot of opinionated. I'm gonna post that. I'm gonna comment that. Let me tell you, I've got an opinion and the world needs to hear it. It's emotionally charged, angry. It's our world. Like, we're not making this stuff up. I mean, this is not exaggerated.

It's happening. And how many of you know that when the night is the darkest, the light is the brightest? That in a world that's full of hate, when you step in as the body of Christ, the family of God and the love of God is manifest in your life, is demonstrated in your life, you will stand out reflecting a supernatural love that can only happen from somebody who's tapped into our supernatural God. It's just not normal. It stands out. John chapter 15, verse 12, Jesus said, my command is this. He said, my command. That's an important word. My command is this. Love each other as I have loved you. Notice that he didn't say to his disciples, here's a thought. Notice he didn't say, suggestion. He didn't say, have you guys thought about taking a swing at loving each other? What does he say? He says, my command is this. That's to you, that's to me, that's our king. He said, this is what I expect. Love each other as I have loved you. How are you doing at loving?

How are you doing at sharing the love of Christ? Showing the love of Christ? Well, if we can make it a little more practical, a little more specific, let's break it down and go, what does it look like to live with that kind of love? And Paul writing in what we have labeled as 1 Corinthians 13, so next chapter, the love chapter, it gives us a breakdown of what love is. It starts at the beginning. Some of you will remember, it says, love is patient, love it. Hold on, just before we go down the rest of the list, can we pause for just a second on love is patient? Because there might be three, four other people in this room besides me who could grow just a little bit in patience, just a little bit in it. Love is patient. When I see that, I don't just keep blowing through the list. I have to stop right there and I need an altar. Anybody else, you're just like, I need the keyboard, I need the prayer team, I got some stuff to work through, I'm struggling, I need the help, I gotta work through this, love is what? Is patient, okay, I'm gonna need a minute just to work through it. And I know that we all struggle with patience, but for me, it's not a thing, it's a thang. Anybody know what I'm talking about? Because I really do love God, I really mean it. I'm not faking it, I'm not trying to pretend.

I love God, I love people, I really, really do. And I can be driving in my car, worshiping the Lord, the presence of the Lord, feeling that car, but you cut me off in traffic. Man, I can lickety split, just lose the spirit. It can get bad, y'all, really, really fast. When it comes to just like traffic, or when it comes to stoplights, like some of y'all, you're like, oh, no, I get it too, I'm impatient, no, I'm telling you, I have like a medical condition when it comes to just that whole process, because as I'm pulling up, I'm sizing up the whole intersection. So when I pull up, if there are three cars in this lane and two in that one, I'm like, well, we're gonna have to bump that blinker and kind of pull over here. And my wife, this is no joke, like we have these conversations, she looks at me like with disgust. Like she looks at me, she's like, are you serious? All that maneuvering and all that checking and all that blinkering and all that getting over there, because this lane has two instead of three, and she's like, you might, maybe, maybe just saves yourself four seconds. And I'm like, yes, I did, yes, I did. Put it down, baby. Four seconds.

If I'm pulling up and it's already. Red, I wanted the green, right? That's what I wanted, because, you know, favor. Like, I want the green, right? But if I'm pulling up and it's already red, I'm like, well, at least I don't stay here the whole time. Like, it's already been red as long as I know, so it's got to be close. And I'll be looking over at the other lights where traffic's coming, being like, I'm just watching, because when that turns yellow, I know we're getting close. And if you're like, why do you think like that? I don't know, I'm just being for real, though. And if I can take it one step further, I'll go ahead, since this is therapeutic for me, and I'm just getting it all out there today. I just want you to know that when I'm pulling up, I'm calculating. If that has a trailer, this has three cars, that has two, but you're pulling a trailer, I'm gonna have to dock you for that one. I'm gonna have to slow that down. And when I pull up, if you're up there, I just want to be honest, I'll take a good look at you, and I'll just judge you. Can I be honest? I'll just judge you. Because sometimes I pull up and I'm like, man, you just look slow.

I don't think you know where you're going, and I don't think you're in a hurry to get there, and I cannot get behind that. I'm a man of God on a mission. The devil is a liar. I got somewhere to go. I'm trying to reach people. I can't get behind that. See, I'll just pray for you, boy. I need help. I need help. A lot of times I find that my behavior betrays my belief. I love God. He's like, great. How patient are you with your children? I love my spouse. How patient are you with your husband? Or that person at the office. You're gonna go to work tomorrow, and some of you know, as soon as you're walking in, you're like, here she comes. As soon as you're going to work, you're like, here he comes. Just gets on your nerves, gets on your last nerve, and starts jumping up and down. You're like, here they come. Somebody in that office, they got an obnoxious laugh. You say, how did you know that? Because every office has one, but you get there, they got that obnoxious laugh,

and somebody says some joke or something's funny, and this person starts laughing. You know what? That was funny until you started laughing, and now it just stole my joy. Just stole my joy. Started laughing, and now it just stole my joy. Just took it right out of me. Instead of realizing not everybody sees life the way you see it, and that's God's design. That's not a part of curse creation. That's God's design, but if I'm being honest, when I look at my marriage and my life, I'm like, Lord, things would be a lot better if she just thought like me. Lord, if everybody just saw life the way I see life, it would be so much better. Now listen, I'm not trying to be arrogant and prideful. I'll just say, I get it that I'm not right all the time. I don't think that I'm right all of the time, but 99% of the time, y'all like, I'm really close. I'm really close. It's because Proverbs says all a man's ways are right in his own eyes. So I have to realize the way I see life is not as it is. It's just the way I see it, and God has somebody over here who sees it differently, and I need to have love that is patient and embracing of different perspectives. Love is patient, love is kind. Man, in a world that's so cruel,

in a world that tears down, in a world that's so painful and so hurtful, he's saying as the body of Christ. That's not you. You have a responsibility to love when love is kind. Show a little kindness, carry the joy of the Lord. Listen, people are supposed to look at you in a world surrounded by pain and hurt. They see something in you. If you're happy and you know it, then your life should surely show it. Some of y'all knew where that was going. I'm proud of you. Y'all knew that song. Y'all ready for me? Clap your hands, stomp your feet. Y'all ready. But if we're being honest, for some of us, your life ain't surely showing it. Just grumpy, mad, going to work. And they're gonna try and, hey, I'd love to invite you to Faith Church. Come with me, you'll be as happy as me. And they're like, I'm good. Whatever they're passing out there on Sundays, I think I'm good. If that's what happened to you, I don't think I want it. We want Faith Church to be the kindest, most loving, most caring, most welcoming place in town so when people step into this place.

they sense the presence of our God. Come on, can you say amen for that? We need to be a place of love. Secondly and quickly, let me just hit these final two and we'll pray together. But number two is that we would encourage one another. We'd encourage one another. Can you turn to your neighbor and give them the biggest, cheesiest smile that you can? Go ahead, do that quickly. Just give them a big ol' cheesy smile. Come on, cheesy smile. Now turn to the person on the other side and give them an even bigger one. Go ahead, do it, do it, do it. Now all I said was smile, but how many of you feel the room just shift? You're laughing. Didn't cost you a penny. You didn't have to do, all you did was smile and it affected the person next to you. You know why? Because in a world that is starving for hope, that's starving for some kind of joy, starving for some kind of life, the least smallest little step towards encouragement can change everything. Hebrews chapter 10, verse 24 says, and let us consider, let us consider, that's an important word, let us consider.

Think about it. Let us consider, let us think about how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Think about it. Not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another. And it says, and all the more as you see the day approaching, the day, what do you mean, the day? We're talking about that day. That day when we stand before the King of kings and Lord of lords and we present our lives to him and we recognize that life on this earth has come to an end and we'll enjoy eternity with him in God's presence in heaven forever and ever. Who's looking forward to heaven? Anybody excited about going to heaven? Come on, no more sickness, no more pain, no more heartache, no more disease, we're going to heaven. But until I get there, I'm still here and while I'm here, he says, Scott, you have responsibility. Encourage somebody, lift somebody up. When you came in today, you sat next to somebody, you don't even know what they're going through. You don't even know what their life is carrying right now. And the smallest little word of encouragement, little act of kindness, little demonstration, look, can be a game changer. You have no idea, so that's why it says, let us consider it.

Because some of y'all are good at it. Like if I did say, turn to your neighbor right now and just speak life over them, some of you'd be like, got it. Turn around, bam, just go for it. Few seconds into it, the other person probably tearing up a little bit. Thank you so much, you know what I mean? Probably just game changer. For others of you, if I said, now introverts, we're not going to do this because some of you are like, bro, you have me turn to my neighbor one more time, I'm going to walk. Just hypothetical introverts, we're not going to do this. But for some of us, introvert, extrovert, wouldn't matter if I said, turn to your neighbor and just speak life over them. Some of you would be like, ah, you know what? Has nothing to do with introvert, extrovert. It has to do with, some are in the habits. Some walk into a room and when they walk in, they say, there you are. Others walk into the room, they say, here I am. Which one are you? The world and the ways of this world, they come to church and they're like, you're welcome. You're welcome, Pastor Johnny. You're welcome, worship team. Y'all just blessed that I'm here. You're welcome, heaven.

Then there are others of you, you come to church and you're a there you are kind of person. You come in looking to see who, you're just considering, I wonder who may need a word of encouragement today. You're wondering, you don't just show up, you come filled up, fired up, ready to be a difference maker in somebody's life. Let's not slack off on meeting together because some of y'all are like, bro, I'm in church. Why do you have to get all up in my business like this? Aren't you just glad I, listen, some of y'all, you're here for your one out of four that you come, you're here for your one out of four Sundays that you come. I'm glad that we both landed here on the same day. But what I would suggest to you is that you're a special part of this place and when you don't show up, something is missing. We have a responsibility to one another to be faithful to the house of God, to prioritize the house of God, to show up for a difference that I can make. Not I'm here, you're welcome. But no, showing up, going, God, how can I make a difference here in this place today? Last part, and then we're going to pray. Serve one another. Responsibility to serve one another. First Peter chapter four, verse 10 says, each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others as faithful stewards of God's grace

in its various forms. Check it out. Every single person in this place. I'm talking to you specifically. This is not for your neighbor, this is not for, I'm talking to you right now. Now, every single person in this place, there's a special work. There's divine design inside of you. You got some serious skills. You're like, you don't even know me. I know God. And here's what he says. Each of you, fearfully, wonderfully made. God's workmanship created in Christ Jesus to do good works. There are talents, abilities, passions, interests inside of you. Have you ever stopped to wonder why? Some of you are great people, people, very charismatic. You're good, great sense of humor. You can just talk with people freely. Like it's just, you're just good at it. There are others of you that doesn't come as naturally, but you're great administratively with the way you think. You're a great organizer or you're great behind the scenes with serving or helping. Some of you are artists. Some of you are creative. Some of you can draw. Some of you can write music. Some of you can play musical instruments. Some of you are great business thinkers. You're an entrepreneur.

You can close a deal. Have you ever stopped to wonder why? You're made the way you are. And we'd never say it like this, but if we watch your life and your life communicates, I'm gifted for my glory. We're off track. For some of us, it's about landing a job. It's about climbing the ladder. It's about making more money. It's about building a platform. And God says, no, no, no, no, that's not what it's about. He said, I play stuff inside of you. You were gifted for my glory and the way you worship and you honor me is taking the slingshot that I've placed in your hand and using it to build my kingdom, using it to tear down the enemy's plans, using it to build people up in their holy faith, to make a difference in the lives of others. You're fearfully, wonderfully made. You're gifted. You're talented. Do you know why? And are you doing something with that? Like you could be making a difference in this generation. And some of you, you've maybe thought about serving in student ministry, but you haven't taken that step. Some of y'all like, man, I lived through those years and I'm never going back. I am not going back to those teenage years. Listen, your testimony can be redeemed. You may have had a hard time, but now God can say what the devil meant for harm, you're about to use for good. Get in there and make a difference in the lives of those students.

Some of y'all could be on the first impressions team. So hospitality, you can open the door. You're like, what do I have to do? Just stand at the door and smile. Smile for how long? Not long. Just while they walk through, as soon as they walk away, you can go right back to being grumpy until the next person comes. You can do it. Some of you could serve in the kids area. Like, I don't know, man. I don't know how I would do with that. I'm not sure. But you have no idea what would happen when that single mom comes in who's been through, you have no idea what. She comes straggling in the church. Maybe she's driven past the church. She just thinks, I got to get into that place. My life is falling apart. I'm losing hope. She comes walking in, got a kid on a hip, holding another, got a diaper bag, trying to come in. There's a greeter of faith, full of faith, full of smiles saying, come on in. We're so glad that you're here. Hey, let me help you with that, that you're caring. Let me walk you just to the kids area. And then when they get back to the kids area, there you are. Brand new. Don't even know what you're doing.

Just glad to be a difference. Trying to make a difference. Preacher says, show up, sir. Here I am. And little Tommy comes walking in. You're like, hey, buddy. I'm so glad that you're here. Man, it's nice to meet you. My name's Scotty. Hey, you know what? I was actually praying that God would send somebody really cool here today. Wow. What an answer to prayer. Here you are. You're just loving on him because you don't know what he saw last night. You don't know what he's heard the last few days. And there you are going, man, come on. Let me feel that muscle. Oh, those are some big muscles. So glad you just speak life. While he's in there, the mom's in here. Came to first service, just waiting for church to start because she just knew she needed to get to the house of God. She's sitting here, tears coming down her face. Part of it's because she senses the presence of God because this room has carried it, ushered it. The other part, tears coming down her face because she's like, they got three services. This is free childcare. I think I'm going to hang out here for all three services.

I just need a brain break. But you're in there just loving on that little girl, that little boy. Boy, service is over. Mom goes, look here, just comes running. Mom, mom, we got to come back next week. There's this guy that says I'm cool. I'm pretty sure I'm the only friend he has. I got to come back next week. Each of you should use whatever gift God has given you, but you can be a game changer. The head cannot say, I don't need you. We need you. I need you. You need me. Life on this earth is short and it's about to be over. Do something with a slingshot that God has put in your hand. Don't waste another day. Don't waste another talent. It's not for your glory. It's for his glory. Use it for his glory. Build his church. Build his church. Be a difference maker. I just want to pray over you because I believe that God's stirring some hearts and I just want you to be bold enough to say, God, whatever you want to do, here I am. Use me. Would you bow your heads and close your eyes. Lord, I pray that you would speak in the name of Jesus. I pray, Lord, that you would just show us what those next steps could look like. Lord, if it's talking to a pastor. Lord, if it's signing up to serve in a ministry. Lord, if it's considering and thinking about how I can be an encouragement. Lord, whatever it is, I pray that you would help us to step into it and let this be a house of hope, a house of healing that continues to make your name great to all of the nations. With heads still bowed, eyes still closed, I'm going to pray one final prayer. And this is for everybody and anybody who, if you are gut level honest, you'd have to admit you're not right with God. Maybe you've never prayed a single prayer in all of your life. You don't even know why you came today or you can't believe you came today. Church is just not normal for you. Or maybe you find yourself here at this place today and a long time ago, used to walk with God, but you've gotten off track. Life has happened. You've strayed. And so for today, for you, it'd be a matter of you coming back home to him. Listen, I don't know your circumstances. I just know that God loves you. And no matter where you've been, no matter what you've done, no matter how many mistakes you've made, our loving God cares about you and his arms are wide open. And if you've done so much bad, so much sin, so much rebellion, you feel dirty. You feel like this Christianity stuff could never work for you. I want you to know, I don't care how much distance between you and God, if there'd be a million miles between you and God, God makes up the entire distance through Jesus Christ on the cross. And he just leaves that final step for you to turn and to

fall into his arms of love and mercy and grace. For God so loved you that he gave his only son, that if you would just believe in him, you'll have eternal life. The Bible says that it's so transformational. It's like you're born all over again. Today, you can have that in your one heartfelt prayer from being changed and knowing that you can leave this place today, knowing I'm right with God. So with heads bowed, eyes closed, I'm going to ask just by an uplifted hand. How many of you say, Scotty, that's me. I need to commit or I need to recommit my life to Christ. Today is the day that I come home. Today is the day I want to surrender my life to Jesus. I want to spend eternity in heaven with God. If that's you, I'll lead you in a prayer. Just slip up your hands so I can see you. Would you slip it up? Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Hands going up in every single section. Anybody else want to join these others? You want to follow God today? Come on. Anybody else? Just before we pray, don't miss this. God's stirring your heart. This moment is for you. Just lift up your hand and say, yeah, that's me. I want to commit my life to Christ. So wonderful. So many hands. Let's all pray this prayer together. Mean it with all of your heart. Say, dear God, thank you for your grace and your mercy. Today is the day that I surrender my life to you. Please forgive me of my sin. Come into my heart and be Lord of my life. Today, I decide to follow Jesus. In Jesus's name we pray. And everybody said a strong amen. Can we thank the Lord for saving souls today? Praise the Lord. Amen Church, can we give Pastor Scotty a great hand for that word today and to celebrate everybody who just gave their lives to Jesus. Amen, amen. We're gonna pray in a second, but let's just remember that word today to love one another, encourage one another, and let's serve one another. We're gonna end in prayer, so if you could stand to your feet. If you did give your life to the Lord today, the prayer team is gonna come forward, and if you need prayer for any reason, don't leave here without being prayed. But let me pray a prayer of blessing, and then we'll dismiss our service today. So Lord, we love you and we thank you for the word that we've heard today. Let us walk out of here ready to love, serve, and encourage one another. So Lord, help us to do that this week. In Jesus' name we pray, amen and amen. God bless you Church. Have a great week.
