He's alive and He's well, and we used to sing it like this, because He lives, I can face tomorrow. Because He lives, all fear is gone. And I don't know about you, but I'm trusting in my God so real today that fear has no place in my life.

Have a blessed week. Two years ago, we cast a bold vision to create something special for the next generation by refreshing all of our Faith Kids spaces throughout Faith Church Orlando. From our kids theaters, to our puppet rooms, playground, and our nursery and preschool areas, every detail was created with one purpose in mind, helping your child encounter Jesus.

And now that construction is complete, that's exactly what's happening at Faith Kids every single week. From our little ones all the way through fifth grade, kids are learning God's word in age-appropriate, engaging ways. Every child is learning the same Bible story and the same big idea each week, helping families grow together spiritually. Each week, our lessons come to life through worship, interactive Bible lessons, puppet shows and skits, and intentional small group time where kids can ask questions, talk through what they're learning, and build real relationships with leaders and friends. And don't forget that we want every child to encounter Jesus right where they're at, which is why we're thankful for our Super Kids ministry that allows us to make special accommodations for those who need them. Through it all, our Faith Kids are discovering four foundational truths. I am a child of God, I am a disciple of Jesus, I am led by the Holy Spirit, and I am created with love and purpose. On Wednesday nights, Rural Rangers and Girls Ministries continue building faith, friendships, and community. And we're stepping into local public schools through Crossroad Kids Clubs, bringing the love of Jesus into after-school programs and helping connect families back to faith church and faith kids. Your faithful giving of the tithe and prayer makes this all possible. So on behalf of our faith kids, thank you for believing in the next generation and for helping us create spaces where kids can discover who God created them to be. You are part of giving our kids a foundation in the word that will carry them for the rest of their lives. Praise the Lord. That was Pastor Ashley, our kids pastor. They have been doing such a wonderful job,

kids ministry, for many, many years. I had an opportunity to chat with her after the first service. So many children have come through kids ministry over the 50 years here at faith that many have been called into ministry and are now serving as missionaries around the world, pastors, evangelists, school teachers, first responders, husbands, wives, godly, families created and birthed and continue to grow. And so I wanna encourage you and thank you for faithfully giving. Faith kids is supported through our tithe. And that's the first 10% that we bring into the kingdom of God. And the Bible in Malachi says, bring the whole tithe into the storehouse. This is a storehouse. The tithe is 10%. And this is part of what we're called to do and bring it in into the storehouse. We are very good stewards of those resources. This is very good soil. And with that, your funds were able to expand and grow and continue to help hundreds of kids, potentially thousands of children a year, encounter Jesus along with our youth ministry and all the ministry. So thank you for giving. The second step is that we give to kingdom builders.

Kingdom builders is above and beyond the first 10 and kingdom builders help support specific projects. This month, we're trying to reach a certain level of 300,000 for our Narcosi campus launch. We wanna thank you for being faithful and for giving to that as well, as well as many other projects that you help support. Thank you for your faithfulness. Things to understand the provision and the blessing of the Lord And those gentlemen at that table would understand every part of that what the herbs meant what this meant what that meant and on this night Jesus picked up the bread and he broke it and he said this is my body which is broken for you do this as as often as you do this do this in remembrance of me what does his brokenness mean for us what do we want to remember his brokenness means for us our wholeness through his broken body we are made whole whether it's physically whether it's mentally whatever has been taken or stolen or defeated in our lives Jesus broken body brings it back as he took the cup he said this is the cup of the new covenant in my blood i can imagine what those disciples must have thought when he was saying these things this new covenant they knew the old covenant and all the blessings and every provision they knew it backwards and forward they understood that now we said a new covenant a new covenant established on better promises that cup that blood that Jesus would shed would give us would break the power of sin in our lives that cup would cause there to be complete forgiveness God would wipe the slate completely clean that cup of his blood that would his blood would be presented before God as the Lamb of God the eternal sacrifice it gave us access to the very presence of God so my friends when we remember let's remember but let me ask you to do what Paul talked to us about in Corinthians he said but participate you participate in this cup and you participate in this bread and in order to take hold of everything that God has given to us we must use our faith how did you get saved by faith how do you get healed by faith how do you get delivered by faith every provision that the bread and the blood of Jesus provides we must participate with it and say I take it now it belongs to me by faith so if you'll take your cup and take out your bread on that first layer let's pray and while we remember let's participate let's take hold let's use our faith to access and accept everything that it provides Lord Jesus thank you your broken body it was broken for us to mean every single person here you've been made them whole you made them whole spirit soul and body we take hold of it by faith in the name of Jesus let us partake again if you'll peel back the next layer for the cup this blood that we've been singing about this wonderful blood what does it mean our sin is wiped away presence of God is made available we can access the very throne

And I just think it would be fitting if in this moment we realize again just how worthy Jesus is of our praise and the price that he paid to even free us to give him praise. And one of the cool things about my role is I just get to hear all the time about what God is doing at every single location and every single service. And man, I'm telling you, he is up to something around here. And today will be no exception.

God's got a word for you today. I said God's got a word for you today. And how many of you enjoyed, we've been in this series called NUMA. How many of you enjoyed this NUMA series? All right, yeah, some of you say yes to that, amen. And some of you are still not sure. We got one more day to get you convinced. This is the last day of that. Before, I'm excited to get into the word. But before I do, I wanna mention a couple things. First thing I'd wanna mention is this Wednesday night is this parent night. It's kind of a one-night free parenting seminar that I just encourage you, man, if you have kids, if you have grandkids, if you're gonna have kids one day, if you are a kid, I'm trying to hit everybody here, but come out Wednesday night. I promise it will be worth your while. And I've been appreciating the ministry of Jim Burns for decades. And I'm telling you, this will be some helpful information for all of you that are being an influence to the next generation. So we will see you Wednesday night for that. The other thing that I want to mention before I jump into the word today, I'm gonna ask for Pastor Matt and Wendy and Olivia and Brayden to come to the front. And the reason why they are coming up here in this service

is because this weekend marks 25 years that Pastor Matt has served Faith Church Orlando. Come on. I don't know, that's a big deal to me. That is a massive deal. We want at every location just to honor them and celebrate this moment. And amen. Those of you, amen. Those of you that know this family, you know that they are an impact to this church in so many ways. And I'm gonna say this about Pastor Matt's leadership here and his commitment to this church. For anyone to give any organization 25 years is a big deal. But I'm telling you, it hasn't been just any 25 years. He has served with integrity, with excellence, with passion. I am, I mean, I can't express how grateful I am to partner and do ministry with him. Probably 26 plus years ago, we happened to be at the same Youth Pastors Conference. And I was speaking a little bit and he was involved in worship at that conference. And we met for the first time. And he was still in college. And I said, hey, when you get ready to do your internship, look us up. I didn't say that to people when I met them, but sovereignty of God, I said it to him. and he looked us up and came and interned with us

and has just been an absolute gift to this church ever since. He's a gift to my life. I appreciate your friendship and amen. So we just, we wanna honor them and on behalf of you, the church and the board, we've got a gift for them and a financial gift for them to kind of mark this incredible celebration, this incredible monument of 25 years. So we love you guys so much and group hug, amen. We'll do it all at once. Love you guys. Give it up one more time for the Engel family, the whole crew here. Yes. All right, if you have a copy of God's Word, go to Galatians chapter five and Romans chapter eight. Galatians five, Romans eight. These two chapters from two different epistles that Paul writes both talk about Numa, both talk about the spirit, okay? Numa, we've been in this collection of messages called Numa, that's the Greek word that gets translated spirit in your New Testament and so both of these passages talk about what life in the spirit looks like and so if you missed week one, we talked about the person of the Holy Spirit and how there's so many misunderstandings and misrepresentations of who the Holy Spirit is.

So go back and watch if you weren't here for week one of this series. Last week, we talked about the power of the Holy Spirit, the power of being baptized in the Holy Spirit and last week was the day of Pentecost and we had just a move of God on Sunday and then on Wednesday, we just did a visitation of the spirit, it was awesome. And then today, I'm gonna talk now a little bit about like the purpose of the Holy Spirit and what actively daily is going on in our life as we yield to the Holy Spirit which is what these two chapters are talking about, what life in the spirit is. So let's look at these, we're gonna pull a couple verses out for now. Galatians 5, 16 and 17. Paul says, so I say walk by the spirit and there's one of the 385 times that this Greek word Numa gets translated spirit. Walk by the Numa, walk by the spirit, walk by the wind of God, walk by the breath of God, walk by the spirit of God and you'll not gratify the desires of your flesh for the flesh desires what's contrary to the spirit and the spirit desires what's contrary to the flesh. Look at this, they're in conflict with each other so you're not, so you are not to do whatever you want. That's a word for somebody right now just right off the jump

that you're not to do what you want. Some people ask you, why'd you do that? Because I wanted to. Well, Paul says, you're not to do what you want to do. We're to be led by something higher than that. Romans chapter eight, verse 12 through 14. Therefore, brothers and sisters, we have an obligation but it's not to the flesh to live according to it. So where is our obligation? No, if we live according to the flesh, we'll die, Paul says. But if by the spirit, there's our obligation, you put to death the misdeeds of your body, you will live. For those who are led by the spirit of God are the children of God. Man, I want that to define my life. I want the people to know me as a child of God. How do I do that? Those that are led by the spirit are the children of God. Today, I'm gonna preach just simply on this thought, led by the spirit, led by the spirit. Let's pray, Lord, fresh fire, powerful anointing on this word today. As we look into your word, let it just change us, we pray. In Jesus' name and everybody said amen, amen. I was talking to some guys this week about navigation and about how we get around and the tools we have now to get around. And I was remembering back in the old days when you tried to go somewhere, man, you didn't have like this active GPS that we have now.

I mean, for one, people used to all the time, you'd be trying to get somewhere and you would pull into a gas station. Does anybody remember those days? You pull in and you say, how do you get to such and such? And of course, the gas station workers hadn't gone through some sort of navigational school, but we just assumed they knew where everything was. They didn't know any better than we did, but they'd say, go down to the tree and turn left and you'll see a squirrel and all this stuff. That's how we got around. And then some people would get around just by the road signs. You'd be looking up and be like St. Louis this way and you're like, that's roundabout where I wanna go. So you just start to follow the road signs or people used to do the Rand McNally big old maps. Anybody remember those? The big pave, you unfold those and many people got in car wrecks because they held those maps so big, it blocked the view out the windshield. And so people be trying to follow all these lines everywhere. It looked like a. I mean it was it was tough to figure out but we had that and then I had forgotten about this one when we were talking about it but I'd forgotten when the internet first popped on the scene I had forgotten about MapQuest you

remember that like getting on this was so awesome you get on the computer be like this is my starting point this is my ending point and then they would print you out turn by turn and you'd hit print on the printer you'd be walking out your little folder be like look at me I know exactly where I'm going and I had forgotten about the whole MapQuest scene and so now of course all of us who you know are using GPS I mean it's turn by turn it is it is real-time it is it is constantly calibrating it's constantly giving you a different route and you're avoiding this and you're avoiding that as a matter of fact I use GPS so much different than I did even even a few years ago I used to put it in if I didn't know how to get somewhere I'd put it in man now I use it all the time I'm leaving here from from the office in the afternoons and I put my house I put my house on there because listen that that that that GPS gonna show me some things I know how to get where I'm going I mean I think I know my destination but it's gonna it's those things I don't know and it's gonna reroute me and let me avoid some things that I I might need to avoid there's there's gonna be an accident somewhere that it's just gonna send me right around or it's gonna let me know maybe when there's some friendly police officers somewhere you know I'm saying like that's good it's all good I'm just wondering cuz I then I know to wave at him when I'm going by like it's it's helping with stuff like that and when I was thinking about all those different forms of kind of being led and getting directions I thought it kind of it kind of was a good picture of what a lot of different Christians look like some Christians are to ask the the ask the the the person that works at the gas station it's just you're you're constantly just getting your direction from the culture and you just kind of go on wherever the culture is going and if they're going somewhere kind of in a bad direction then that's how some people like that that's just how they do life man they just going where the where the culture goes some people are maybe more like roadside people right like like every every once in a while they're kind of checking in with with things that maybe these are the kind of people that might might come to church like a

couple times a year and check back in and kind of see how their lives doing and then going back out and just figuring it out just kind of aimlessly going around I think that some people are kind of like paper map people it's like it's like you you kind of know what the Bible says and you you kind of you understand the principles and your your family's Christian and you're probably more Christian than you are something else because you kind of understand them the basic meaning of what direction we're supposed to go and it doesn't really affect our day-to-day much but I have a I've kind of an understanding of that some of us are map quest people you know who the map quest people are they're the people that come to church most weekends and they're setting up their their their course for the week and they're like okay I want to make sure cuz I feel like I got off course a little bit this week so I need to come back to church and let me let me print out my my plans for this week and we'll see how when I get back next week we'll see how I did but then there are some people in here and you are more like GPS Christians you know what a GPS Christian is a GPS Christian every day everything they're doing they're led by the Spirit and so even when something pops up that I didn't expect I'm led by the Spirit and the Spirit gives me what to say and whatnot and what not to say but the people who are led by the Spirit sometimes you you begin to step into a moment of temptation and the Spirit says no no don't don't go that way come back this way that is what it looks like to be in a in a regular led by the Spirit relationship with the Holy Spirit of God is that you are never making the decisions on your own oh some of you need that so bad and it's such what an incredible gift this is from God that he puts within us this voice this leadership that we can be led by the Spirit and I kind of have this little bit of a definition of what it means because I know that's kind of theoretical maybe pastoral what does that even mean well living a life led by the Spirit means that I'm aligning all of my existence my entire existence my my thoughts my choices my relationships my actions I'm aligning all of that under the guidance and the power of the Holy Spirit rather than following the

impulses of my self-centered desires and church let me tell you this it is pretty much one of the other that's that's what we just read these two things are kind of at war with each other they're in conflict with each other they desire different things and so if I'm living a life led by the Spirit that means my relationships my choices my actions they're all being controlled by they're all under the guidance of the Holy Spirit instead of being under the guidance of just my own instincts or my own flesh desires and so to be led by the Spirit I just I just wanna be so simple today, but it just basically is two, I wanna discuss kind of two aspects of it. And the first would be the internal aspect. So to be led by the Spirit, first of all, it's gonna create this internal character within you. It's gonna start to grow the right things inside of your life. Before we get into the actions and all these great feats that you're gonna do for God, it starts on the inside. And that's what Romans 8, five and six, it says those who live according to the flesh, look at this, has their minds, internal, their minds set on what the flesh desires. But those who live according with the Spirit, they have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. And the word that gets translated mind here is not just like a thought.

It's not a fleeting moment. It's not one decision. No, the word is encompassing like your total mindset, your total paradigm. So our total paradigm is either set on what the flesh desires or our total mindset, our total outlook, our total worldview. Everything I see, it can be done and looked through a lens of what the Spirit desires. And so that's what it's saying. It's like, where am I dialed in in my heart? Where am I dialed in in my worldview, my total perspective? Where is that coming from? From the flesh or from the Spirit? And I have here this little device and it is a fancy, it's a fancy dog training dog whistle. Okay, and so there's a button here that if I press this, this device vibrates to let me know that the whistle's going off. But none of you are reacting to this because you can't hear it. Now, there's a dog somewhere nearby here that is freaking out right now, can't figure out what's going on. But that's the idea. This is a frequency that only dogs can hear. Matter of fact, I'll have the sound guys at every location put on a sound right now that most of you won't hear. We're gonna put it on.

It's a sound, it's a frequency that most of you won't hear and it's playing right now. Most of you can't hear it. How many wave at me if you can hear it? You hear a little, oh boy, yeah, some of you do. If you look around, it's younger people who are waving their hand right now, okay? That's what happens as the older you get, and of course I hear it, but some of you older people don't hear it. But the older you get, some of those frequencies start to go away. And so that frequency, about 30 year old and younger, they're the ones raising their hands saying, yeah, I heard that. And then those of you that are over that, you didn't hear it. Now, it was playing, but you just didn't hear it. And that's kind of the idea when we talk about the leadership of the Holy Spirit within our heart. Can I remind you of something? The Holy Spirit is always talking. The Holy Spirit is always giving direction. The Holy Spirit is always leading your life. The Holy Spirit is always whispering to you in those moments of temptation, saying no, that's not the choice. The Holy Spirit is always bringing that conviction. The Holy Spirit is always, when we're faced with a situation

and I don't know what decision, the Holy Spirit knows and is whispering instruction and direction. The problem is, is are we dialed into it? Because if my mind is set on what the flesh desires, I miss that daily, internal voice of heaven. Oh, but if my mind is set on what the Spirit desires, now it's at a frequency that I'm hearing. Oh, some of you have complained for so long that God's not speaking to you. And I'm sorry I have to disagree. He is. It's that we've gotta train ourselves to, sometimes it's a matter of waiting on that. Some of us, we're so quick to make all of our decisions, we're not even giving the Holy Spirit a chance to speak to us, or to nudge us, or to prompt us. And so sometimes it's learning, don't get out ahead of God. Oh, some of you have gotten into relationships because you got out ahead of God. You know what I'm saying? Some of you single girls, the first time he looked at you, you're like, oh, he's the one. The Holy Spirit's like, no, he's not. Wait, ask, wait on that. Hold on. Wait and welcome the voice of heaven. Welcome the leadership of the Holy Spirit

in your life, and when you wait for it, and you welcome it, and then you also weigh it. How do you weigh? Because sometimes people run around, say the Spirit told me this, and you're like, man, I don't know if the Spirit told you that. How do you weigh it? Well, one of the best ways to weigh what you sense the Holy Spirit speaking to you, you weigh it against the Word of God. Because the Holy Spirit's not gonna give you instruction or leadership that's gonna be contrary to this Word. Like years and years ago, I was counseling this married couple, and they were on the verge of splitting up, and the wife in this relationship had established a different relationship outside of her. her marriage with a guy and these people were Christians and she fashioned herself a very spiritual person and she looked at me with all kinds of conviction in her eyes and she said, Pastor, you don't understand, like, the Holy Spirit's told me that this other guy is the one, like, I feel the Holy Spirit when I'm with him way more than when I'm with my husband. And I wanted to say, I'm sure you feel a spirit when you're with this guy, but I'm not sure how holy that spirit is, like, I'm sure you feel something.

Now, what do we do in those moments? We weigh it against the Word of God and if your spirit's telling you something that the Word of God's not, then we know that I'm missing something there. So we wait on this prompting in voice, we welcome it, and then we weigh it. How do, Pastor, how do I know if I'm on the right track? Like, how do I know if internally I am dialed in to the right frequency, if we wanna say it that way? Well, we can see what's growing in our life, that's one way to do it. And so, like, Galatians chapter five talks about the two possible things that are growing inside of our, what we're cultivating in our character. So Galatians 5, 19 talks about the acts of the flesh, sexual immorality, impurity, debauchery, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, on and on it goes. But then, Paul switches in that same chapter to this fruit of the Spirit. Has anybody ever heard about the fruit of the Spirit? That when I'm dialed in and the right things are cultivating inside my mind and my heart, now there's this growing love and joy and peace and forbearance, patience, some versions say, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control against such things, there is no law.

That's what we want growing in our life. We did a series back in August of 2024 about the fruit of the Spirit. If you want more teaching on that, matter of fact, in the Faith Church app, it's linked right there in the notes, a link to that other series, and so there's teaching there on what it looks like when the fruit of the Spirit is manifesting in your life. So there's gonna be this internal character developing as I'm led by the Spirit, but then that internal character is gonna now turn to an external conduct. Like it's gonna change the way I live and where I walk and what I do, and if it doesn't, we're missing something along the way. So Paul switches to this external conduct in Romans 8, 11 through 14, and he says that, and if the Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, then he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies. See, we're talking about the physical realm now, because the Spirit who lives in you. Therefore, brothers and sisters, we have an obligation, but it's not to the flesh to live according to it. Verse 13, for if you live according to the flesh, you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live. Those who are led by the Spirit are the children of God. Now let me be honest.

When I was preparing this word and this message today, and we were talking through some of the different study, I'm gonna be honest, I wanted this part of the sermon just to be like upbeat and happy and positive, and all of the feats that God was gonna do through you, and all the impact that you were gonna make on the kingdom because you were living in step with the Spirit. That's what I wanted this part to be, and then Paul messed it up. The Bible messed up my message, because you don't get mad at me on this, but Paul gets heavy before we can get into all the impact you're gonna make, because Paul says this thing is life and death. Paul says, this isn't just some sort of little frivolous, yeah, it might be better if you live by the Spirit than living by the flesh. No, that's not what he says. No, no, he says, you do have an obligation. It's not to the flesh, and he says, if you live according to the flesh, you'll die. And if you live according to the Spirit, you'll live. Hey, this is not talking about physical life, physical death. We're not talking about earth. He's talking about eternity here. He's talking about the danger in me just deciding, I'm just gonna go with my flesh and trust my gut instinct, and I'm gonna trust the desires that are already in here. Well, then that will bring eternal death.

There is a better way that I could experience eternal life. We've got to understand the seriousness of this, this idea that the misdeeds of our flesh can be put to death. Everybody look at me real quick. The misdeeds of our flesh. flesh can be put to death, but it's not God who puts them to death. See, this is what some of us do. We pray. We say, God, just take away all the bad words that I keep saying. God, just take away all these bad feelings. Lord, just eliminate all the temptations. And just, Lord, all the bad people that are kind of influencing me, Lord, just get them out of my life. And we want God to do all the heavy lifting. But Paul said, this is how the misdeeds of the flesh go away. He said, you put to death the misdeeds of the flesh as the Spirit gives you the power to do so. So this is not a thing where we just kind of passively just, well, it's all up to God to do all of the hard work. No, no, no. We are called to shut some doors and to close off and end some relationships and put to death some things in our life that are going to lead to eternal falling out with God. And then, then, when you put to death those misdeeds of the flesh, now you become a vessel, a pure, clean vessel for God to use for His glory. And that's what we want. That's what we're living for. It's like at the restaurant, if you drop your fork on the ground, man, very few of you are just picking that right back up and going right back in your mouth. Like very few. There's a couple of you, but you got issues. But then very few of you are gonna do that. No, you're gonna be like, I need a new, I need a new fork. What are you saying? I need one that's uncontaminated to serve my body. Well, God is looking for some uncontaminated vessels who can serve His body. And you're a part of that. You, God has given you the power to put to death the misdeeds of the flesh. And that, then, is when you can, Galatians 525, that's when you can start to keep in step with the Spirit. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. What a,

what a perfect analogy of what it looks like to live life led by the Spirit. That I am in step with the Spirit. That I'm not getting too far out ahead. No, the Holy Spirit is controlling my pace. The Holy Spirit is controlling the placement of my, of my foot. The Holy Spirit is controlling the, the, the place that I end up. He's, He's controlling the destination of my life. In step with the Spirit. See, here's the thing. We look around our world, and, and they're just running aimless. I mean, here to there, and frantic. Now I'm, my flesh wants this, and now my flesh wants that. We're not meant to live that way. No, we're meant to live in this controlled, in step with the Spirit. And when that happens, that's when these gifts start to pour out of your life. Can I just read some of the giftings that the Holy Spirit, some of the, some of the great things, and the impact that the Holy Spirit wants to make when you are led by the Spirit. Gifts like in 1st Corinthians chapter 12, these, we call them the spiritual gifts. He says, I don't want you being uninformed about these. To one, there is given through a spirit a message of wisdom. To another, a message of knowledge by the means of the same Spirit. To another, faith. It's like, not, this isn't just a church thing. This is a, this is a tomorrow at work, and someone's going through an issue, and God gives you a message of wisdom of what the answer to their problem is. And it's outside of your own source. It's outside of your own mind. It's outside of your own intelligence. That's a gift of the Holy Spirit. The impact you can make when you walk in a different level of faith, when you go through a certain situation. Gifts of healing for somebody sick, and you can be the one to pray for them. Other miraculous powers. To another, prophecy. To another, distinguishing between spirits. To another, speaking in different kinds of tongues. And still, to another, the interpretation of those tongues. And Paul's talking about a public utterance in tongues in a gathering that's always followed by an interpretation. Here, he's not talking about tongues as a prayer language. And then spiritual gifts listed in Romans chapter 12. We call these ministry gifts. But he says, we all have different gifts according to the grace given each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith.

If it's serving, then serve. Oh. You don't have to serve in your own strength. It's the Spirit of God that serves through you. If it's teaching, then teach. If it's to encourage, give encouragement. If it's giving, then give generously. There is a, there is a separate, a gift anointed on, given to some to, to give generously. If it's to lead, lead diligently. If it's to show mercy, then do it cheerfully. And again, back in ... December of 23, I think it was, we did a series just simply called Gifted, and it was about these gifts kind of coming to life within us, and that's on our Faith Church app as well, linked right there. But that's what it, I guess that's the benefit, that's some of the benefit, some of the outcome, some of the outward flow, the actions of being led in step with the Spirit. And in 1980, they started renovations of the Sistine Chapel. So Michelangelo had painted, of course, many of you know, painted the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, and for, literally for hundreds of years, this is what people, before 1980, this is what it looked like, and this is what everybody thought that, how the artist painted it. They thought that he had used these moody, somber tones,

and a lot of heavy grays, and dark browns, and that that's what, how it was meant to be, and so we're talking hundreds of years, this is what people thought the artist meant. And in 1980, they started a 14-year restoration process where they were just cleaning it with these special solutions and special solvents, and as they started to clean the ceiling of that chapel, they're cleaning off hundreds of years of incense burning, and candles burning, and different pollutions that were in the room and in the environment, and as they clean away all of these pollutions, now this very same roof, and this very same painting, they didn't add any paint to it. Also, now it's representing what the artist had intended once they cleaned away all of the soot, and all of the grime, now we see what the artist had in mind. And I guess most of us know what it's like to be trying to represent our creator, but to feel like we're doing so

without the vibrancy, right? Like, man, why don't people sense Jesus when I'm around? I don't feel like, man, in my actions, and with what I, the way I act, and the way I treated that person, I don't feel like I represented Christ. Many times what that is, it's maybe months, maybe years of the pollution, and the grime of a life where we've let our flesh, our nature, our mind is set there, and it will always cover the vibrancy of your creator. But to be led by the spirit? Well, some of you are afraid. Well, what is it? I'm afraid of what God's gonna take away from my life. Can I tell you what he's gonna take away? He's gonna take away the soot, the grime, and you're gonna just come to life with these vibrancy of God. It's, we're talking about, not talking about restriction. We're talking about restoration, and that's what living by the spirit

will bring in your life. Let me pray for you at every location right now. God, help us to live led by the spirit. And I ask you right now, Lord, I ask you to cleanse us, to purify us. We are in desperate need of you, Holy Spirit. Lord, some of us have been living by our own desires and our own instincts. Even some of us are trying to be Christians, but God, we've just lost step with the spirit. And we're checking in every once in a while to try to get realigned. And God, what we want is a daily moment by moment, word by word, step by step, that you lead and guide our lives. In Jesus name, Jesus name. With nobody looking around, we got just a couple of minutes left, but I wanna end with four questions. You can just listen to them for now, but I want you to just ask yourself four questions today, maybe this week. Number one, are there misdeeds of the flesh that I need to put to death right now? That's some of us. Are there misdeeds of the flesh that I need to put to death by the spirit's power right now?

Are there doors I need to shut, windows I need to shut, relationships I need to end, habits I need to get away from? Number two, second question would be this, am I actively discovering the gifts the Holy Spirit has entrusted to me? Am I praying, God, what gift have you put in me? God, how do you wanna use me? Third question is this, am I actively asking the spirit for direction when I feel anxiety rising or decisions approaching? I mean, is that just a habit? Can we just get into that habit again when we have a decision to make or when we feel fear start to grip us again? Holy Spirit, what would you have me do? What would you have me, where would you have me go? Fourth question would be this, am I practicing a yes to spirit prompting Zero delay. Oh, when the Spirit speaks to that person, share my word with that, pray for that person, give to that person, be available and serve that situation. Are we coming with a yes, with no delay, no hesitation? And I want us to respond to the word today. So if you would stand to your feet, everybody stand, and I'm gonna, we're gonna sing this song that we sang a moment ago,

and I'm gonna leave those four questions up there, and if you wanna take a picture of that, you can. But that first question, especially, are there misdeeds of the flesh that I need to deal with right now, that I need to put to death right now? And some of you, that's you, and you need to step, we're gonna just open these altars up, and we're gonna sing this song together, and if there's some misdeeds of your life and flesh and sin you need to deal with, then I believe the Spirit's gonna prompt you to do this, so follow the Spirit's prompting and just step forward, and let's pray, our prayer team is gonna come. Maybe you need healing in your body today, you need somebody to operate in those gifts of the Spirit, somebody to operate in great faith, somebody to operate in the gift of healing, and pray over you, then step out and come. And maybe you just need to respond to just being more in step and more yielded to the Holy Spirit. Listen, whenever the Spirit is speaking to you, I want you to respond to that prompting, and let's practice this right now, what it looks like to be in step and led by the Spirit. Let's sing it together, and come on, you need prayer today, you need freedom from something that's going on in your past, you need some grime and some soot

cleaned away from your life to better reflect God, then come on, step out and come. If the Spirit is prompting you, then let's just say yes to Him. Oh, call us, Holy Spirit, prompt us. Heal in this place, deliver in this place. Come on, church, I want you to sing it with us. Say, I trust. Thank you, Lord. ♪ Who will never, never fail ♪ Come on, we're gonna sing it through one more time. I know the Holy Spirit is speaking to somebody in this room. He's perfectly pushing you. Come on, let's just yield. If you need more of God, then come on, get more of God. Thank you, God, thank you, God. Thank you, God. ♪ Who will never fail ♪ Amen, amen, amen. Father, we thank you for the richness of your word. Lord, we do press in today and seek you and want more of you, Holy Spirit. Help us to walk with you, Holy Spirit, to listen to you, Holy Spirit, to be led by you and to guide us, Holy Spirit. Father, I pray a blessing on your people today. I pray blessing over finances and health. Father, over relationships. Favor with you and with others around them. Continue to put a hedge of protection around them as they walk.
