For most people, their biography begins on the day they were born. There’s a clearly defined start date to their life story. Jesus’ story, on the other hand, is much more complicated. His birthdate was more like an axis in a story that had been going on since before Creation. In John 1, the apostle peels back the curtains of time and space to help us see who Jesus really is. The child in the manger isn’t a your average baby; He is the eternal Word of God.
